Transformers G1 Pinball Breakdown

[00:06] Hey, I'm Sam. I'm here with Joe from

[00:08] Stern. We're looking at the brand new

[00:10] Transformers more than meets the eye

[00:12] pin. We are going to look at a bunch of

[00:14] cool toys and features and things that

[00:16] this game is doing that a game has never

[00:18] done before. So, to kick it off, I just

[00:20] wanted to talk about how cool it is that

[00:22] the8s Transformers are back. Cuz can you

[00:24] talk about what's in the back glass

[00:25] here? Yeah. So, we have a firstgen

[00:28] Transformers pinball game. So, from the

[00:31] bottom to the top, you are looking at

[00:32] the original 1984 first series of the

[00:37] animated cartoon. We've got all the

[00:39] Autobots, all the Decepticons,

[00:42] Dinobots. You're you've got the battle

[00:45] of all battles on the pinball playfield.

[00:47] >> And it's actually the '8s animations in

[00:49] a lot of it. And then your own too,

[00:51] right?

[00:51] >> Correct. So original soundtracks, the

[00:54] original voice actors are in this game

[00:57] doing the call outs.

[00:59] >> Original voice actors, too.

[01:00] >> That's correct. Yep. So truly a

[01:02] Transformers world under glass and it's

[01:04] it's a blast. So we've got easy shots,

[01:06] medium shots, difficult shots.

[01:08] >> Well, let's talk about some of those

[01:10] shots. A couple of these toys in this

[01:12] the premium version that has a little

[01:14] bit more uh uh molded toys,

[01:16] transformations, and some other shots.

[01:18] Uh this one actually has a uh a robot

[01:20] here. Megatron is shooting a gun that uh

[01:23] you're going to see in a second here.

[01:24] That's really cool. Can you explain

[01:26] what's going on here?

[01:26] >> Yeah. So, we've got the Decepticons in

[01:30] the form of this 3D custom molded

[01:32] Megatron with the cannon. At this time,

[01:35] he's shooting into a receiver here. We

[01:38] also have an upper right flipper, which

[01:42] also has one, two, three, four different

[01:46] shots on it. I notice you get it back to

[01:48] that flipper a whole lot which is really

[01:50] interesting. Like a lot of these shots

[01:52] lead to that flipper center left. It's

[01:55] really really uh important that you you

[01:56] get to know that one.

[01:57] >> It's a fast flowing game. Uh lot of lot

[02:00] of stuff's coming back to the upper

[02:01] flipper or back to the the main flippers

[02:04] down low. It gives you a shot a chance

[02:06] to bash Optimus. It gives you a chance

[02:09] to hit a ball lock. Um, you're fighting

[02:12] in a bunch of modes, more to come,

[02:14] obviously as we roll out more code, but

[02:17] there's a lot of stuff here. A lot of

[02:19] fun.

[02:19] >> Okay, let's talk about Soundwave over

[02:21] here. Uh, in the premium, you we

[02:23] actually get a a Soundwave uh a molded

[02:25] toy. That's right.

[02:26] >> And it also has a special little

[02:28] function. What's that? Yeah. So during

[02:31] Transformers multiball, what you were

[02:33] doing is hitting into towards Optimus

[02:36] loading up balls into the Soundwave

[02:38] cassette deck and you do it three times.

[02:42] He's blasting three balls at you and

[02:44] you're into a nice He just barfs out the

[02:46] balls from his cassette te. It's

[02:47] amazing. Aggressively.

[02:49] >> It's true. It comes out really

[02:50] aggressively. And I we should mention

[02:52] too, if you're just going to walk up and

[02:53] play this machine, that's the multiball

[02:55] you can start really easily. You just

[02:57] hit this left of center shot six times.

[03:00] You're going to hit it once to light a

[03:02] lock, second to lock, and then it's

[03:03] going to go in here. Or if you're

[03:04] playing on a pro, it's going to come

[03:06] back to you. You just do this shot, this

[03:07] upkicker right here, six times, and you

[03:09] start a multiball, and it's a pretty

[03:10] cool one.

[03:11] >> That's right. And we have a bunch of

[03:12] the, you know, the original characters

[03:14] like Bruticus, and we have the Dinobots

[03:17] here. They all have their own modes.

[03:19] It's a blast to play. Well, you can find

[03:21] Stern Transformers more than meets the

[03:24] eye at an arcade, maybe a bar, maybe a

[03:27] house near you very soon. Uh, anything
