Tea with GaryVee: Live Q&A on Side Hustles, Authenticity, and Building a Business

Transcribed Jul 14, 2026
Beginner 12 min read For: Entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and anyone seeking career and personal development advice.

AI Summary

Gary Vaynerchuk hosts a live Q&A show called 'Tea with GaryVee' on Whatnot, simulcast across his social media platforms. He answers audience questions about side hustles, career transitions, authenticity, and building a business, while also promoting his V Friends collectibles brand and the Whatnot platform for social shopping.

[04:30]
When to Go All-In on a Side Hustle

The right time to jump from a 9-to-5 to a side hustle is when you can survive on minimal income for a year. The math: if you earn $93k at your job and $24k from your side hustle, going all-in could yield $100k from the side hustle because you'll have more time and better energy.

[09:30]
Dealing with Nepotism at Work

If you're in a toxic workplace with nepotism and can't advance, you should leave. For loved ones, limit contact; for non-loved ones, leave entirely. Complaining without action is unproductive.

[12:00]
Forgiveness and Accountability

Lack of forgiveness is a poison that ruins lives. Accountability means being the bigger person even when you're right. Forgive others for their wrongs, as everyone makes mistakes.

[14:30]
Teens Building Businesses Online

Teens can balance authenticity with algorithm-friendly content. Make content that is somewhat you, but also do what's needed to gain traction. Both approaches are valid.

[20:30]
Helping an Underperforming Employee

Use 'kind candor'—honest truth delivered with kindness. If the employee doesn't improve, firing them may be a favor, as keeping them in a dead-end role helps no one.

[24:00]
Organic vs Paid Advertising

Organic reach is more merit-based than ever—good content gets more visibility, bad content gets less. Paid ads are still valuable for amplifying proven organic content and buying underpriced attention.

[27:30]
Delegating to Friends

If friends don't deliver on delegated tasks, either pay them or release them from the task. Passion alone often isn't enough; leadership means taking responsibility.

[29:00]
Overcoming Shyness and Accent Concerns

Your accent is a strength, not a weakness. People who mock you are hurting themselves. Embrace your uniqueness and use it to stand out.

[34:00]
Advice for a Mid-Career Pivot

A 43-year-old considering a move to Boca Raton while separated with a teenage son should take a gradual approach—spend 60-70 days a year there to test the waters before fully committing.

[45:00]
Authenticity in Content Creation

To stand out, be your full self. Share your passions, struggles, and unique perspectives. Don't try to copy what's trending; authenticity resonates.

[52:00]
Simplicity and Financial Freedom

The secret to happiness is often simplifying your life—downgrading material possessions and reducing financial stress. Many people overspend on streaming services, coffee, and housing.

Gary emphasizes the importance of authenticity, accountability, and gradual risk-taking in both career and personal life. He encourages viewers to embrace their uniqueness, simplify their lives, and take calculated steps toward their passions.

Uh, >> not P. I'll I'll improv you in if I do. >> Pretty much everything in front of you. >> Heard. >> Yeah, >> we'll take that off. >> You'll take this off. Hi, Eron. >> These are the headphones. >> What's the URL? >> What if you don't? >> Hi, everybody. Great to see you all. If this is the first time you're on whatnot, please say first in the chat. And then

also, I don't know which corner it is, but click our little logo and follow the account mix minty shop. First time here, planning peeps. Good to see you. Uh, great to see you all you first timers. We're going to definitely do a giveaway, Ezra. Cuz if you're here for the first time, you get $15 off your first purchase on this platform. And I want to make sure you get something for free. Probably going to do the

stickers. Uh, Cord, can you do like the Yes, you can. Amazing. Probably going to do the stickers. Here we go. To the left. To the right. Thank you. Probably going to do these stickers as a giveaway cuz we sell those for 15 bucks. I might do the mini figures. Let me know if you want stickers or mini figures. the blind bag mini figures uh for 15 bucks, then you'll get it for free. But we're here to

do the actual show. This is Ask GaryVee, a show that I'm completely committed to going ham starting in October. Uh we're going to do this. We're going to do it big. If you have a question, you can only ask it on whatnot. Uh ask your question and use a question mark at the end so Aaron on my team can see it. Are we going to bring anybody on to the show, Braden, or we will. So, we're

going to start with questions from the chat, but ask your question. You may get a DM, Braden. Is that right? With a URL. So, ask your question and check your DMs here on Whatnot. If the team really likes your question, they're going to give you a URL and you're going to be live on video with me now. Uh, Zach, I can't tell you what I'm sipping, but these mugs, Court, show this mug. Show this mug. Hold

on. Look at these Y2K mugs. These mugs are sick. I'm kind of Can't really get there yet. I'll drink a little more tea. Aaron, let's get to the first question. >> Okay. Uh, this question is, when you're building your side hustle outside of your 9 to5, when do you know the right time to jump and go all in on your side business? >> The second you can eat [ __ ] for a year. Now, whether that is you

saved enough money and you're willing to go there, or you don't give a [ __ ] and you're willing to give up a lot of luxuries, you can pay your basic needs like roof over your head and transportation, right? But if it's really burning a hole in your heart, in your stomach, not your heart, uh, you know, you may even decide to take public transportation instead of having a car and you give up your lease. This is about

how much you're willing to like be resilient, right? How much do you love your passion? But I will say this, Aaron, this is super common. This is incredibly common. A lot of people do not jump when, let's let me just paint you this picture. You make 93,000 in your job and your side hustle is making $2,000 a month. So you're thinking 93k and 24k, but your side hustle is getting so little of your time cuz you

have a job. If you're at 93k in income and 24,000 in side hustle, you're likely when you jump going to do 100k in side hustle cuz you have so many more hours. This is the math. This is the calculus that most people don't get. Sid, you've never heard this from me. This has been I see how you react. But this is one of my best pieces of content. You make 93k in salary. You make 24,000 in

side hustle. But when you jump and do side hustle, you make 100k in side hustle. And now you're thrilled. You have more flexibility. People think you have to have like even even. You make 100k, you need to get to 100K cuz you got to pay your bills. You don't realize that those 40, 50, 60 hours per week, if you've been able to make 24K with a couple of hours a week, when you go all in, plus

you're happy, plus your 40 hours are not equal. Your 40 hours at work are shitty hour. Your C minus your 40 hours on your on your new found primary hustle is A+ hours. So it's compounded. That's the answer. Give me another one. All right. Somebody just bought a ceramic mug. Big shout out to Gore Bashed. Uh you can buy the mug. Yes, friends. You can actually I mean it is pinned for 20 bucks. And by the

way, if you're first time here, do not buy the mug for 20 bucks. You can actually get this mug cord show it for five bucks. Here's how. VF-15 is the code cord. Is it up here somewhere? It's probably right here or it's right here, right? Where's the little the pin yellow? The pin yellow. >> Do you see it? Do you see it on here? Am I good? >> Am I touching to my right here? But then

I think it's reverse. >> Uh oh, I see where it is. Oh, there we go. This is where you put this little There we go. That little yellow note. Click that note. When you click it, it opens and there's a little white button that says VF15. If you click that, it puts the $15 off your first purchase on whatnot into the cart and then this way you can get this mug for five bucks. It's pretty rad.

If you're one of those people, let me know. Also, this hat is fire court. Show me again on the Let me just show people this hat. It's not out yet. >> Where the mic is, >> right? Where the mic is. Look up. >> Yeah. Duck in. >> Go ahead. >> Oh, [ __ ] it. Look at this hat. Look at this [ __ ] hat. Let me just get in here. There we go. This hat is going to be crazy.

Here it is. >> The giveaway is up. Look at this. The awesome African civet. This will be out in the fall. Look at it. Look at that little character. This hat is crazy. I am awesome, which is why I wear this. By the way, everyone should buy this. Everyone is awesome. Not on some like weird third grade teacher [ __ ] on some It's actually true. And you [ __ ] believed your broken parents or you believed broken society or

broken [ __ ] spouse or girlfriend boyfriend or broken best friend. You listen to someone that was broken to tell you you're not awesome when you're [ __ ] awesome. Everyone's [ __ ] awesome. Not on some rah rah I'm like a guidance counselor [ __ ] on some it's [ __ ] true. Shut the [ __ ] up. You're [ __ ] awesome. And if you're watching right now and you think you're not awesome, someone put that in your head. I'm looking to take it out of your [ __ ]

head. But you don't get it, Gary. I've lost my whole life. And just because you've been losing doesn't mean you can't win. I call it the Monday night miracle thesis. Court, do you know what the Monday Night Miracle is? >> You're about to tell me. >> I'm about to tell you. The Monday Night Miracle, you can Google it or chat GBT. is when the New York Jets were losing to the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football

30 to7 with like 10 minutes left in the game and came all the way back and won just cuz you sucked at life and you're 66 years old and go Gary [ __ ] you right now like I triggered some feelings watching this and you're like it's not true I'm not awesome I've lost at everything drug abuse lost my loved one like losing like by how we would all scare you know uh consider it I literally believe that

you can win. And many have so many people, especially when they get terminally ill, they notice what happens. You get terminally ill, you change your behavior. When you change your behavior, good [ __ ] happens. When you deploy love, not hate. So many have poison in their soul. They got to get it out. Aaron asks, "Next question." Next question is from Paul. Um, okay. The question is from Paul. The nepotism is alive and well in my workplace. I'm

one of the most qualified people there, even over my younger managers. It is impossible to get ahead simply because I'm not from here. I'm so tired of fighting it. I know you're going to say leave, but I need to hear it. Leave. Like, [ __ ] leave. Leave. Leave. Leave. Leave. Leave. Like, you can't fight it. Leave. And by the way, leave everything. You can't fight your mom for 60 years who has bipolar or narcissist. You don't leave

her. You just limit her. It's either limit or leave. Loved ones. Limit. non- loved ones leave. Leave the job like marriages. A lot of people need to hear it's tough. I'm not advocating for it. At least go through the therapy. Like work for it. Like do something. Don't eat it. Either leave. >> Either go for the work, which would be therapy, exercise. Life is leave or work or shut your [ __ ] mouth. Cuz complaining, limit or leave

or put in the work or shut your [ __ ] mouth. Complaining and pointing fingers is [ __ ] Accountability to the max. Here's the nuance that almost no one sees. Accountability even when you're right. Being the bigger person even when you're right. I have someone in my life who cannot go there because they can't forgive. Lack of forgiveness is the poison that is ruining your life. There's nothing, Aaron, you can say to me that would not allow me to

forgive, including the ultimate darkest [ __ ] that can come out of your mouth. Let alone stealing money, let alone cheating, let alone backstabbing, let alone talking [ __ ] These are things that people literally eliminate loved ones and friends for. Literally. Do you know how many people right now have eliminated loved ones and friends for talking [ __ ] For talking [ __ ] As if they never talk [ __ ] You know what I love right now is like watching people [ __ ] on people

as if they've never done anything wrong. Even when they die. Hulk Hogan died. He [ __ ] died. And people were giving tributes and of course like every other human. And he's done some bad stuff. I get it. But I love those comments. I'm like, I'd love to know what bad stuff you did. >> [ __ ] tired of this [ __ ] Can we get the [ __ ] out of this matrix? This is why I'm doing tea with Gary V. I'm going

to create a [ __ ] cocoon of positivity and accountability that is going to [ __ ] dominate Sid. I'm going to [ __ ] dominate 2026. I'm going to be IRLing. You know this court. I'm going to be video blogging. I'm going to make way more content. I'm going to be substacking. I'm going to be [ __ ] AIing. I'm about to go [ __ ] ham on [ __ ] faces. Gonna suffocate all the excuses and gonna instill all the opportunities. >> It's going to be

good. >> Kids socks giveaway. >> We're giving this away for free. >> Yes. >> Court, show it. These cute little socks that every child in America should be wearing. That's right. I said it. According to my mom, by the way, if you don't want the words in front of you and whatnot, just swipe to the left. You can see these cute little socks. Look at this. These cute little socks for anybody who's got little ones. Uh

we're going to give one away for free and put them in the store. Some people want to buy them. Some people can get $15 off. Some people need to buy them and someone's going to get it for free. We're putting this in the store. Be friend socks. And by the way, here's why they're important. You can teach your little girl and boy, by the way, fearless fairies for the boys. I hate all this [ __ ] [ __ ] Like

everything works. You can teach them to be fearless. Here's one that I want every kid to [ __ ] learn early because a lot of you [ __ ] are over 35 and have completely missed this into your entire life. Patience matters. And here's a big one. Grizzlies are scary, but graciousness sounds like it's soft. Oh, alpha dude should not be gracious. Alpha dude should be [ __ ] gracious. Gracious grizzly. Let's teach that. So, free socks. Here we go. Micah squad

goes far away. >> Enter the giveaway. >> Friends, you don't know how to enter giveaways. There's 600 of you enter the giveaway up here. It's that clear clear little button. Oh [ __ ] I forgot all of you. All of you who are over on all these other places on Instagram, I see you. On Tik Tok, I see you. And on all the other places, Ian Harrison, I don't say buy my socks. Do not buy anything you don't

need, but I'm comfortable selling things I believe. And Ian, great to see you on LinkedIn. Everybody, get over to garyv.com/w1ite. I want you to learn social shopping so you can learn how to do content and have commerce in your world if you think that's right for you or good for you. Um, great to see all of you. Um, and Keith, great to see you on uh Tik Tok. Get over here. Uh, love to see all of

you. Uh, and that's that. Let's clean up those comments. Sid on some of the socials. Be thoughtful. Let's keep it moving. Next question. Do we have anybody on screen yet? >> Trying to get a couple people. Some of you got DMs right now on Whatnot to get on screen with me. Check your DMs, Aaron. Ask the next question. >> Okay, next question. How can teens today start learning how to build build a business online while still

creating emotional boundaries between who they are and what the algorithm rewards? That's a fun great question. Um, there's a lot of ways to think about this. Big shout out to Addison Ray who's been saying this. I heard Mona listening to this. I overheard it while she was listening. Addison basically said, you know, she did what she had to do on TikTok to get the fame and now she's quote unquote different. Big who won? Did not Steven's

view win? Stephen, that's amazing. Stephen, congrats. Good big big part of the be friends community. Um, she said she did what she had to do and now she can be more of herself. And I think a lot of kids can learn from that. Like you can make content that the al now you got to make content that's somewhat in you. You can't like say [ __ ] you don't believe or do [ __ ] you don't believe. But if it's

not the all the way you the answer is both. You can do both, right? Like you can do both. I do that all the time. You guys know this. Uh the post I did the other day with me and my dad doing a wine video. You think I thought that was going to overindex the algorithm? I sure didn't. And as you know, Sid, we're just we we had a little moment on Instagram. We were testing ads

and doing things and it threw off our algo. We're just getting ourselves back. We want to get into that organic reach system better for the algo. And yet I still posted that video with me and dad because I want to post that video for me and dad because I promise you when my dad's gone I'm gonna be happy that I posted that over getting an extra 100,000 [ __ ] views on [ __ ] Instagram. So the answer is both.

Uh do I have the mic or I like having the mic by the way cuz this way you guys don't have to Yeah, I like having the mouse cuz then I don't need to bother you guys. Let's keep that as a standard. >> Yes, >> if we can. I think it's better for you know. So that's it. Um all right. Who? Let me know if you picked up a kid sock in the store and you can

get it for 10 bucks if you use the code if you've never bought anything. Next question. Let's keep it going. Tea with Gary Vee. Everybody on all my other socials, we're on whatnot. Get over here. GaryVee.com/wnot. Download the app. Live social shopping. Massive trend in 2027 2028. I want you to be early on it. Who's in whatnot right now of the 600 of you that this is the first time you're on the app? Say first time.

You just downloaded it. Say first time. Also, uh, Adrian, could you put up vfriends.com/quiz? All these first timers, uh, first- timers, DM me on whatnot if you want to learn about Vfriends. That means you're into Pokémon and Marvel, comic books, and trading cards. You love collectibles. If this is your first time and you like collecting things like Harry Potter, Hello Kitty, you know, um, Star Wars, if this is your first time and you love to collect,

say, first time and collect. And if you're one of those people that just says that right now, first time and collect, then I want you to DM me and ask, tell me more about Vfriends. I'm gonna have Zach and Ross and I in my DMs on whatnot answering your questions, teaching you about this. But everybody right here, right now, all 600 of you, you need to go to vfriends.com/quiz. Take the quiz and whichever V friend you

are, it's a Vfriend quiz to find out which V friend you are of the 280 characters. When you get that, come take a screenshot and change your avatar like you see a lot of people in the chat instead of letter yellow letters like Carol Corales has. You can have an icon like MJM has with the alien or Narwhal or all look at look at Atomic Coffee with the gritty ghost. So do it now to take the

quiz while you're you can do it while you're listening to this in the background. Let's keep it going. Aaron, next question. Okay. >> A blaster pack. >> What's that? >> Giveways a blaster pack. >> Oh, we're going to open it. Are these the blaster packs in front in front of me? They're all blaster. No hobby. >> We have hobby as well. >> Which how do I see again? >> Uh if there's Right. So this is the

blaster pack. We're giving this away. These are like what? Two 200 a box right now. Divided by how many packs? Eight in a blaster. >> So it's probably 23 >> 23 25 bucks. We're giving this away. You can get your first Chrome. Go to eBay and check this out. You've got some stuff I can share with them. Do you have the comic book >> video? Yeah. Prep that up. Let me answer this question. Then I need

to show all of you something. If I'm literally building the next Marvel and Pokemon, at least that's my ambition. Obviously, I know that's a big stretch, but I'm going there literally in front of all of you Gary Vee business content friends in your eyes and you're not even knowing it. I'm going to show you something that's going to blow you away. Also, vfriends.com/carttoons. If you have a 3 to9year-old in your life, uh go to befriends uh

YouTube kids channel. It's linked. Adrian's got it right there. Uh okay, let's go to the next question. >> Okay, this question is from Muhammad. How do you communicate with an employee who's in trouble at work? They really need our help, but they don't know how to ask and we don't know how to assist. Kind cander. You know how to assist by telling the the honest truth with kindness. And if you say that we don't know how

to assist because you've been doing it already and they're not getting it, then you may have to cut bait. There's nothing worse than f for me. There's nothing worse than firing an employee. But the reality is it took me into my early 40s, maybe even mid-40s if I'm being honest, to realize you're doing them a favor, not the reverse. Cuz once they're dead on arrival and dead man, dead woman walking in your organization, you're not doing

anything right by them. Courtney, please show everyone right now the uh Jeremy cartoon read. Can you show uh the comic book uh issue number two? Everybody watch this real quick to give you a sense of what I'm up to building this universe. So, I'm going to Chicago tomorrow to the National Sports Card Convention. DJ Kaufman, our creative director, and andy Kiaak, our president. We're in Comic-Con in San Diego. We are literally building the positive Pokemon, the

Sesame Street meets Marvel universe. Watch this. I think you're going to be blown away. Watch this real quick for 20 seconds. Everybody, if you're in social, come over here. You can't see this. Only can see it on whatnot. We need cming in so All right, that's a little preview. You can see that on YouTube. We're really excited about big big win for goods on goods on >> goods. >> Goods Ri. All right, here we go. We're

going to open the pack for goods eye. Here we go. The hustling hamster on the back. By the way, one of the great things about the Chrome series is my original drawings are all on the back. Now we saw the cards. Oo, a nice yellow refractor of the Alpha Alligator. Let me sign that. Let me sign that. Let me sign that and add value. Big shout out everybody. Clap up for the big win. Goods. Let's go.

Louder. If you live in Chicago, get to the National Sports Guard Convention at the McCormick this week. I'll be there the whole week. Next question. Are we going on screen or we doing a read? Everybody, we have another giveaway, right? Another giveaway. Just click the button above. There was only 300 of the 600 of you. And if you're on social, if you're on social, get over here right now to garyve.com/whatnot. Get over here right now and

come hang out. Get over here right now and come hang out. Question. Okay, next question is from Doug. Do you feel organic reach is less now with Facebook advertising boosting reels for money? >> No, I think it's more now. Organic reach is higher now for good content and lower for bad. I think it's more merit than ever. I think is it Doug? Doug Doug needs to look at himself and realize his content is not good enough

right now and he needs to mix it up. It's I do think it's harder to be consistently great. I think competition has grown, but it's not the ads. It's many more humans with organic content, but the good gets more and the bad gets less. It's more merit-based. That is what is up. Everybody, if you just joined first time on whatnot, please follow, hit the icon in the top left. Please follow Vfriend Friends on here. Bookmark shows.

Uh, I'm so excited for you to be here. I'm literally building Vfriend Friends is the great joy of my career. Uh, it will eat up more and more of my time in my next half century. I want you all to be collectors. In fact, I want you to learn which Vfriend you are. Adrian, put up the URL. Vfriends.com/quiz. Please all of you take it. Please, all of you share that URL to friends and families. And if

you are a Comic-Con, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, manga, anime, sports card, sports collectibles, jerseys, if you're a collector at heart, Disney pins, please learn about V friends. Please learn about V friends. We're going to really have a run here. I'd love to have you as a collector. Erin, keep it going. >> Okay, this question is from Eli. Um, they say, "Hey, I asked Chat GBT the same question for it to answer in your voice, and I'm

interested if the answers are the same or accurate." The question is, if the best form of advertising is now organic social media, how will companies that thrive off of paid for ads make money, i.e. a news company, why would companies pay for ads or brand deals if organic social media is cheaper and better? Cuz it's harder. Ads are guaranteed. Organic reach is only based on your merit. And in fact, if you get virality in an organic

post, the next best practice is to amplify that creative or reuse it as an ad. So paid advertising is phenomenal, especially when you're buying underpriced attention. Underpriced attention sits in many places. The Super Bowl, if you can afford it, is underpriced. Like I'm contemplating V friends commercials for for in the Super Bowl in the future cuz I think it's underpriced. If we can afford it one day, I will do it. Uh, so the ads are underpriced

on Meta, Instagram, and Facebook. It's just that if you start with organic, you know, the creative is good and that's what you should be amplifying. So, it's both, not or. But for a lot of us right now that are watching on all my social media, everybody, please get over to garyv.com/wennot and be really part of the show right now. um uh you know all those people should realize that it's an opportunity because they don't have ad

revenue but they can win organically understand. >> So that's the key. Let's keep it going. All right. Uh this question is also from someone named Eli. Um, I'm growing a brand and community called Nomies that revolves around the tabletop role playing game community. My friends asked me to delegate tasks to them, but I noticed they start strong and then don't deliver. They say they want to grow this community with me, but how do I keep them

accountable so we can grow? One more time from the top. >> Um, I'm growing a brand and community called Nomies that revolves around the tabletop role playing game community. My friends ask me to delegate tasks to them, but I notice they start strong and then don't deliver. They say they want to grow this community with me, but how do I keep them accountable so we can grow? By firing them and paying them. Like, yeah, like it

doesn't sound like he's paying them. So, it's hard. You know, some people are motivated at first with passion, but then they worry about other things. Like, you have to know how to And by the way, some people don't need to get paid and they're motivated by the joy and they would do it for free and that's awesome, but that's a small percentage. And then if you're paying someone or not paying someone and they're not doing a

task, you release them of that task. That's what leadership and ownership looks like. That's the responsibility. Let's keep it going. Okay. A question from Laura. I'm 41 years old trying to build a brand, but it's hard because I'm shy and I feel but I feel I have so much to give. I'm also very self-conscious about my accent. Can you give me some advice, please? Look, this is the classic question, right? Like, you know, first when she

was saying she was shy, I was going to tell her she doesn't have to be on camera. Then she threw me a double curveball by saying she's worried about her accent. Big win for the Jmax 79. Jmax 79. Let's clap it up. Everyone, everyone lost. Here we go. What did they win? A pack. Another pack. What? Another another blaster. I'll open in a second. So, look, here's the punch line. You either get over it or you're

or you don't. Like if someone makes fun of you for your accent, if someone makes fun of you, whether you're seven or 77, I'm gonna say this slow. If someone makes fun of you, they the person making fun of you is a piece of [ __ ] Or and in actuality, they're the one that's hurting. Literally, no one that makes fun of me upsets me. What they get from me is compassion, empathy, and sympathy. They are hurting. Nobody

who's not hurting makes fun of people. I do not make fun of people. Nor have I ever made fun of people. Little Raz, little like, you know, Jersey boy [ __ ] But I've never really actually tried to hurt someone's feeling because I got very fortunate luck of the draw DNA wise, circumstances, environment, and most of all, mother who made me not hurt. Thus, why would I be hurting? hurting only comes from a hurt place. So if she's

worried about her accent is her strength, not her vulnerability. Her accent makes her first of all incredibly relevant to a lot of people and then to everyone else it's just a nuance. It's I wish I do you know how do you know how much bigger I would be if I had an Ivan Drago like accent? If I was like you are an [ __ ] Like that would be way better. How old are you? Like, that would crush.

Stop [ __ ] watching Lost. I would [ __ ] dominate, Sid. I'd have 80 million followers instead of 10.8 on Instagram if I had a real [ __ ] Ivon Drago. I must break you. I would [ __ ] dominate. In fact, with AI, I might go accent. I might go Russian accent for a decade. All content, Russian accent only. All of it. Only hurt people make you hurt. Understand? Like I would [ __ ] dominate. >> Accent is strength. [ __ ] >> That's where I'm

at. All right, let's open up this pack. Who won? >> The Jac 79. >> The Jmac. Jmack. Oo. Fearless Ferryy in here. Shrewd Shark. Ooh, a common sense cow numbered to 199. What a hit. This is a nice little hit and a Fearless Ferry that I'm going to auto which is going to give value. That is a big win for the person that got it. Oh, here we go. We got our first video. I'm excited. It's

going to be Matthew G. Matthew G. What is good, my guy? >> How are you, my friend? >> Gary, what's up, bro? >> What's up, my man? Where you calling from? >> Syracuse, New York. You actually know who I am. Um >> Oh, I know who you are. I just don't know where you live. It's good to see you bro. >> Syracuse, New York. >> Cuse. I love it. >> We in We're Orange all the way.

>> I know it, my brother. >> How's life? So, I'm chilling. Um I own the financial practice. I I work with bluecollar people. Um just helping them out with their financial affairs, their investments, their retirement stuff. Not that I've lost my way, but like I've lost a little ambition. I lost a little, you know, just go getting attitude, you know what I mean? So, why >> I mean, I don't know. Do I like it? Do I

want to try something else? Do I want to add different streams of income? >> Um, >> have you contemplated a side hustle? >> Uh, I have. >> And where do you go? Where do you go in your mind when you think about side hustle? So my goal is to start like so I I want to start a business in a in a practice do something down in like the Bokeh area, right? So this >> So you

want to move? You're tired of the snow. >> I mean, yeah. I mean, nobody wants I don't want to live here the whole year. You know what I mean? It's it's beautiful right now, but like >> Are you a Bills fan? >> I am. So I lived in Chicago when I >> Oh, you're a Bears fan. I love it. >> That's much better. That's much better. Good. 85. Yeah, right. You just missed it. Okay. So, so

move to Bokeh. >> I' I'd love to. I got a you know, I've got a a family that, you know, there's you >> What are the dynamics? >> So, we're breaking into it like I'm split right now with my wife >> which is very hard >> right now. And regardless of what happens there, I still have a son who has four years of high school. So, I can't Oh, you're golden. You're bro, do you know how

many people are in the exact same situation with you with three kids under seven? You're [ __ ] You're moonwalking. Your boy's [ __ ] going to college or not college in like 3 minutes. You're good. 36 months is nothing, >> right? >> In fact, that's actually perfect. You can like start putting the pieces together for 36 months from now. >> But nothing like I I don't just need I I don't want to abandon anybody, right? I >> That's That's

what I meant. Like you're actually notice what I said. You're not abandoning anyone. You're staying in [ __ ] cues for three more years. >> Which is it's lovely all in itself, but at the end of the day, >> it's 36 months. This is where >> do I take time? Am I a jerk for going down there once a month for a week and trying to set stuff up and you know what I mean? >> Definitely not. >>

Definitely not a jerk. I mean, obviously it depends on how you got custody going down and what's going on and you know, obviously so much depends on how your wife or future ex-wife or not ex-wife or whatever happens here. I don't want to get in your personal business, but >> she's she's great. Like, you know what I mean? So, >> so I mean, honestly, think about what you just said like in the tough situation of a

marital split, right? A you have a child, only one, and they're already 14, 15, six, like right they're in striking distance to like their chapter 18 on. and you're in the heat of this very tough situation and you just said she's great so you're very fortunate like you are way ahead of most people. >> So I think if you're overcommunicating to her and your son you would be able to find many weekends or many 5 days

or maybe 4 days and maybe 7 days and maybe even 10 days cuz she and the son go on like a vacation and you got to like you're going to be able to find two three five seven day windows over these next 36 months to set it up. I'd love to set it up with all of them. You know what I mean? But how do I try? I'm not going to try to relocate. You know, >>

it doesn't Yeah. You're not Abby fish with the big one. What does Abby? What? Blind box open. Uh, brother, it sounds like you're not ready to do that right now. And that's okay. Like, you're going to have to eat a little bit of patience and that's I respect that. You're a man. You have responsibilities and you is, you know, this is what's so awesome about being a kid. When you're a kid, you could be 100% selfish.

When you become a [ __ ] man, you become 100% selfless. >> I respect the [ __ ] out of you for that. >> Yeah. So, you just I'm maybe just not even making any moves until we figure out the dynamics. >> No, no, you're missing again. You're going black and white. Let's go back. You're making a lot of moves. You're going down to Bokeh a fuckload. Every second you can. Every second you don't have a responsibility to your son.

And every second that you can afford to be down there, you're down there. setting up shop, networking, going to events there, looking at locations, trying to get your name out there, making content out there, networking, getting a feel for it. Maybe you don't even like it like you thought you did. You might start [ __ ] going down there once um you know, for the first year and be like, "Fuck Bokeh." >> You know what I mean? >>

I like Bokeh Delray. That that like area doesn't have to be with the 85year-olds, but like, you know, there's certain things that I think we can make money on and I think we could take a take advantage of the area. And >> you're thinking you're thinking all Yeah. You're thinking all or nothing. I think you can do >> I got a lot of [ __ ] going through my head and a lot of things. You know what I

mean? >> I'm here to simplify it. I'm I'm here, Matt. I'm here to [ __ ] help you. >> That's why we love you. >> That's why I love you back. I love you first. That's why I'm doing it. Listen to me. It sounds like you could be down in [ __ ] Bokeh if you can afford the flights and the stay. It sounds like you could be down there [ __ ] 60 70 days a year. >> Yeah, >> that's a

fuckload. >> I like that. >> Yeah. And you're down and you and you're down there like this is perfect. Actually, in fact, I think people should do this even when they have complete flexibility. Instead of just jumping into the cold water, you put your little [ __ ] toe in there, right, Court? You know, I don't know how you jump into pools, but I like to put my little [ __ ] toesy in there. You go all in. You're a

[ __ ] gangster. Yeah. Honestly, I actually go more in now because sometimes I find out I puss out when I put my toe in there. Like, shit's cold. But if I don't know, it's like [ __ ] it, for a second I'm good, right? But Matt, listen to me. 60, 70, 80, 90 days, 30 days, 40 days. That's gonna actually prep you proper. By the way, by doing that, you may end up in Austin, Texas. You may end up

in [ __ ] Miami. You may >> I'll [ __ ] I'll [ __ ] with Miami, but I'll stay away from Texas. >> Fine. You're you're allowed to go wherever the [ __ ] Yeah, I hate the [ __ ] Cowboys, too. Like, you know, whatever it might be. Like, you know, like, you know, whatever it might be. Actually, by the way, on on the record, I just did that for fun. Like, I was improv. I actually love the Cowboys cuz I hate the [ __ ]

Giants. So, I love the Eagles, the Commanders, and the Cowboys. I like the Redskins, and the Commanders, and the Washington Football Team. All three versions of them in the last decade. That's how much I [ __ ] hate the Giants. [ __ ] you, Giant fans. You [ __ ] entitled [ __ ] crying about the last decade not being good. You [ __ ] won four Super Bowls in my [ __ ] face. You're second to the Patriots, you [ __ ] Often Yankee fans, too. I'm a Yankee

fan, but like, you know, super entitled [ __ ] Let's go Eagles. fly [ __ ] I like the Eagles. I like the Cowboys. And I like all 17 versions of the [ __ ] Washington football team. Anyway, uh Matt, you're golden. The fact that you have this situ watch this, Matt, read the comments. How many of you were separated from your former spouse? >> And being separated, I mean, I don't know if we might get back together cuz I still love

her and that's amazing. Respect. Respect. Personal [ __ ] Exactly. Watch this though. I want you to read the [ __ ] comments. How many of you separated from your spouse and it is a very negative situation? It is not good. Say that's me in the chat. Say that's me. That's me. Don't say me. Say that's me. Look at this. So the fact that you have so many people, you know, that are going, you know, and then again, those people

that have negative spouse situations also oftentimes have want to go on and move to Bokeh and do their thing, but they have a four and two-year-old. You came in with a [ __ ] kid that's going into his sophomore year, right? >> Oh, yeah. I did. I got a sophomore in college and a sophomore in high school. So, I've done all that. You know what I mean? >> Yeah, man. You're And you're young as [ __ ] Look at No

[ __ ] You look [ __ ] great. What are you 45? >> 43. But thank you. >> You're welcome. I actually went too high. Sorry. But listen, you're [ __ ] You're winning out here, bro. >> I know it. I know it. >> You're good. It's good. You made it by Bro, you're not the I see it. You're a Bro, I'm sorry to interrupt you. You're a tweak away. And the tweak was, "Don't make it black and white. It's gray. Be

happy that you can be there for 60 days versus crying that you can't be there for 365 days." Bam. There it [ __ ] is. There's the [ __ ] clip. Be happy that you're there for 65 days, which is unusual for people in your situation cuz of age of kids and relationship with spouse or former spouse or working through it with spouse or whatever versus crying that you can't be there for 365 days. And I talked to you when

I first started my business and you're you're the one that said just don't do your own [ __ ] Why why you working somebody and I remember it's great and it makes me good money and I'm comfortable and but like is there a next step in >> this is the 2.0 conversation. >> Yeah, there's so much [ __ ] going on. So I appreciate you, >> bro. You're [ __ ] golden. You're golden. In fact, enjoy the [ __ ] out of these three

years with your son. Make sure you're, you know, like enjoy it. Like you're in a very beautiful spot once you decide you're in a beautiful spot. Once I realize it and wake up a little bit man. >> Yeah, bro. People people like I don't like comparing, but I cookie. >> That's the main thing that I didn't like with my with the job that I had before I became a business owner is they compared me to everybody

else. And even though I was killing it and making six figures, it was I still felt like [ __ ] because there was a couple people ahead of me. And realistically, people need can't can't have that. And maybe they maybe they do for motivation, but some people just work better on their own and just leave them alone and let them work. You know what I mean? Yes, I do. Of course I do. >> I'm proud of you, bro.

You're Bro, you're good. Honestly, there's a drillion people that would switch with you right now on Earth. >> I bet. >> For real. And everyone's healthy. Thank God. And like [ __ ] go, man. You won. Go enjoy your 68 days in [ __ ] bokeh and go enjoy the [ __ ] cold ass Syracuse. And [ __ ] let's go. >> Love you, man. Thank you. >> That was good. I like that one. Let's go to the next question. Oh, we did we

had a giveaway, right? Somebody won this box. Who won this? >> That was Abby. >> Abby. Abby, congrats. You got the heart trooper. Big shout out, Jeremy. The heart trooper. All right, so we got that. And then what was there another winner? >> Blaster pack. >> Blaster pack for who? >> Cookie. >> Cookie. Cookie with the blaster pack. Here we go. That's a hobby. >> Uh, I don't want to. Anybody can buy anything they want. It's

in the store. Go to the bottom right of your We're not going to put many more. Just leave what's up here now. Uh, but go to the bottom right. Hit the store. First of all, I want to say thank you for everything you do. Um, you're a huge inspiration to me. Um, >>

so I've had a six figureure car detailing business for eight years and congress. Um, it's, yeah, it's been great. It's funded. I mean, it's just made my life I mean, it's been great, but I don't like it anymore. >> Um, I actually listened to a podcast from you. Um, I don't know when it was, but you had mentioned um >> when you left your when you were making content and you woke up one day and you

just like it it wasn't a burnout time, >> right? It was wine library TV after 5 years and it was so important. changed my career, changed my dad's life, set me up to be able to build what I built. But one day, I woke up and like, "Fuck this [ __ ] I don't want to do it anymore." And I stopped. >> No, literally, that's me right now. And I have had this like I still I know I

I'm entrepreneurial. I know I want to do my own thing and specifically streaming like in Fortnite specifically. So, >> so do it at night at first. Are you doing it at night? >> Yes. Yeah. >> And how's it going? So, uh, >> slow. >> Yeah, cuz my main question is like, >> how do you make content that's like stands out and it's not the same as everyone else? >> By by you being by you being your

full self, >> by you talking about [ __ ] guitars, by you talking about car dealing, by you talking about your [ __ ] Candace. >> Right. >> That's it. >> Okay. >> There's nothing else, Candace. If you're trying to [ __ ] follow Clicks, you're dead. >> Right. clicks and that's exactly I can't >> Candace there's going to be a you know this I know this and you know this I'm going to deliver it right now you live your life and

a lot of people don't get you and don't like you and plenty of people do like you and do get you yes >> yes >> that is the answer to the quiz of every [ __ ] person watching this show >> you got to make Fortnite videos and you got to get them to know you got to tell about life stories while you're playing make the jokes that you're making you understand >> yeah absolutely >> when everybody did

their Hulk Hogan tribute posts. I did mine authentically to me. Literally, it was a picture of me and him and the copy was, "You broke my heart in the spring of '89 when you beat the Macho Man." That was to me. That was me. You broke my heart and today you broke the heart of many wrestling fans. You know, like like you have to make it you, >> right? >> Everybody's generic out here. >> And even

worse, everyone's trying to figure out the hack to go viral. Well, I feel like it makes the most sense cuz you look into like people like Queso and like these people that are so themselves and it's like they're the most popular. Like it's about being >> and by the way, some people listen and some people are naturally charismatic and some aren't. And that's what it is. And some people are pretty and some are less pretty by

standards. And some people are smarter and sharper and some like we just have to be all us. I talk proudly constantly about not being able to read >> the most basic [ __ ] thing. >> And I made it a strength. I'm like, "We have to have fiveminute meetings because I can't read it." >> You're right. >> You know what I mean? Like you want to make fun of me cuz I can't read. Here's my answer to you.

Go [ __ ] yourself. >> Like what do you want from me? Like you what do you want? A cookie, a medal, like you read better than me. Muzzle. And by the way, for some of you that should be your pride. Be like I'm a great [ __ ] reader. >> Yeah, >> you aren't, Gary. You got that one on me. You know, like that's it. Like what are we talking about here? So Candace, you got to start making way

more authentic you. Your your passions, your hurtships, your your hacks in the game. You know what I mean? And you got to try [ __ ] You got to try [ __ ] You might after 4 months of Fortnite and nothing happening, maybe just stream you playing Super Mario Kart just for >> for the [ __ ] of it. >> Right. Right. >> People talk about authenticity and then don't live it. >> Yeah. Absolutely. Do do you know how many compliments I

get for being who I am in real life? In fact, sometimes even better than I am in real life than who I am on video. And I see it. Many of the kids I'm looking at right now have already said it to me or I can see it in their eyes. Do you know how sad that is? That actually means the world is not authentic. Do you know how sad it is that we have a saying

in society that everybody knows that says, "Don't meet your heroes." That speaks to lack of authenticity. Literally, when people compliment me for being a good guy or like living up to who I am, I I literally feel weird. I'm I feel it feels good. Like I'm like, "Yeah." Like, I'm glad I do that. But that's like a hundth of a second. The rest of that second in my brain is like, man, it sucks. That That's life.

They can't hear her. >> They can't hear. >> Nope. Anthony, go ahead. Go ahead. >> This question is from >> Nope. Not in the headphones. >> No worries. Oh, this one's an Aaron, not a mic. All right. Big win for Mike. This is Mike's

morning. All right, let's keep going. >> Um, this question is from Anthony. I'm 46 years old and have been very successful in the restaurant business. I'm making more money than I could dream of, but this is a tough and demanding business. And part of me just wants to sell everything and downgrade my life to do what I truly love. >> Being a creative musician, am I too old to risk it all at this point in my

career? >> It's not risk- all. You're going to sell it. You're going to get an asset. You're going to live. Notice how he said downgrade. [ __ ] genius. >> Do you know this? >> This is insane. From like a go get it, go do it [ __ ] I I mean, there's an ambitious angel. I'm going to Who does not know anything about V friends? Say don't know in the chat right now. If you don't know anything about V

friends, we're very little. Say don't know in the chat right now. Say don't know. I'm going to show you something right now. I'm going to show you something. This is my little universe. I'm just going to show you a little glimpse of it. Here are some of the characters, right? Swaggy sea lion. Uh, excuse me. Uh, let me see the Where is it? Oh, it's high. Intuitive iguana, outgoing octopus, resourceful robin, right? Optimistic otter, you know,

rare robot. Here's the versatile Viking, hustling hamster, patient pig, selfless sloth. Here's the moral monkey. >> Oh, I know where she is. Thank you, though. Here she is. And she might be the one I most associate with. Out of all the things. Oh, do that again, Court. Holy [ __ ] Court. Do that again, Court. Holy [ __ ] Court. There's the ambitious angel. Oh, do I love the ambitious angel. I might associate with her more than anyone. I am

as ambitious as they come. But I'm going to say something right now that might be a curveball that if you haven't listened to me carefully, you don't realize I've been saying it the whole time. I said it in crush it. The first book I wrote. The answer to the quiz of life for almost everybody. Think about what I just said is to downgrade. Is to simplify. Less New York and LA and Miami and more Chattanooga, Tennessee

and De Moine, Iowa and 100 County, New Jersey. The secret to life is a stillness in your chest. How many people in the chat worry about money? Put money in the chat right now. Like, let's talk real. Let's talk real. Everyone say money in the chat. [Music] We're getting somewhere real here. I'm going to keep it this zone. [Music] The amount of people that said money in there, I would die to be able to look at
