[00:36] Starting from number 10, the first one on our list is Kekai Sensei. This shonen is one of those where you have a lot of different stuff packed to create a single story. There are all kinds of supernatural monsters like monkeys, fishmen, as well as vampires.

[00:52] All these supernatural monsters coexist in a land which was formerly known as the New York City. It happened three years ago when a certain rift opened between earth and a realm called beyond. Suddenly New York became an ecosystem of those different creatures that were all trapped

[01:08] in an impenetrable bubble, and since then this place was given the name Helselum's Lot. Now the protagonist of this story finds himself exploring this unconventional region for the sake of finding a clue on how he can get his sister's eyesight back.

[01:47] Shaman King Shaman King is an anime that made a strong impression on the shonen fans in the early 2000s, but its popularity became stagnant after it released its final episode in the year 2002.

[04:43] Number 6 Katakaiyo Hitman Reborn It has been more than 10 years since the show ended and yet it is still never too late to enjoy binge watching it. The main character, Tsuna Yoshisawada, is not so talented and kind of clumsy middle school

[04:59] boy who also happens to be in love with this school idol. The other students called him Luzarsuna and he knows well enough that the girl he likes is completely out of his league but then something unprecedented happens.

[05:12] His life takes an odd turn, a hitman from Italy's strongest mafia family appears before him. The kind of strange twist of fate will help the boy achieve greatness.

[05:38] What is a shonen anime if not for its comedy? Seiki K is an unusually pleasant watch, it is a collection of well executed parodies and the comedy in this anime works like nothing else.

[05:50] The main character, Seiki K, is the textbook definition of overpowered. In fact he is so overpowered that if he didn't keep his powers in check he might just instinctually destroy the world.

[07:36] Number 3 Ronin Kenshin The story of this 90s anime centers around a certain man, he is a legendary assassin who wrecked Havok in the final years of the Bukumatsu era. He was rumored to be merciless and that's what made him so fearsome, however something

[07:51] made him disappear from the scene during the great Japanese revolution. It has been a good long 10 years since then but the name of this assassin is still a symbol of fear for war veterans. Where is he and what is he up to?

[08:26] Number 2 Yu Yu Hakushou If you are a shonen fan you must have heard of Hunter X Hunter but did you know there is another shonen series by the same author? In fact there are some people who claim this to be the better than Hunter X Hunter.

[08:41] It is a story of a boy named Yusuke Yurumashi. He is a 14 year old delinquent and if he were to go on living like this, there was a decent future up ahead. Fortunately for him, his life changes when he instinctually throws himself in front of

[08:56] a moving car to save a young boy's life. This is a shonen story that lets a considerably doomed boy meet supernatural twists and turns a new leaf and it is brilliant at what it does.

[09:08] But we can't, Kuobara, don't you remember? You said you'd kill us if we helped you. Yes, it goes against your honor, Kuobara.

[09:24] Number 1 Bakuman Even outside of the anime communities, the anime death note is quite relevant. It is one of the, if not the most popular anime of all time, but did you know that the authors

[09:39] of death note also created another masterpiece? They also created Bakuman, a story that revolves around the prospect of making it as a manga author and the way it is executed is brilliant.

[09:51] This anime won't only give you insights on how manga is made, it will also tell you the story of two students who team up and aim to make a living as manga authors. You get to see the manga they draw, their rivals, how it influences their lives and the dilemmas

[10:05] and challenges they face, their fans and how difficult it can sometimes be to just create the stuff you like. This shonen is a must watch and something that can be recommended to just about anybody.
