[00:00] The new Generate Speech feature in Adobe Firefly is a next-level text-to-speech AI tool, allowing us to easily create natural-sounding voiceovers and narrations in seconds. With over 50 AI voices to select from in more than 20 languages,

[00:14] you can now generate studio-quality voiceovers without ever touching a microphone. And I'll show you how in this Adobe Firefly-sponsored video. Unlike other speech generators, Firefly gives you complete control over the tone,

[00:26] speed, pitch, emotion, and even the pronunciation of the speech. So let's head over to Adobe Firefly and check out the new Generate Speech feature. To access Adobe Firefly and follow along, go ahead and click the link in the video description.

[00:40] So to access the speech generator on Adobe Firefly, the first thing we need to do is go to the left-hand side menu here and click the Generate tab. Here's where you can generate all sorts of media on Adobe Firefly.

[00:52] From the Generate page here, let's scroll down to the All Features section, then click on the Audio tab. From here, you should see a tab that says Generate Speech. Let's click that now.

[01:04] This should take you to the Adobe Firefly Generate Speech tool. Here's where we can transform our text into high quality AI speech. From the Model tab on the left hand side menu, you can select the AI model that you want to use to generate your speech.

[01:17] Of course the Adobe Firefly model is commercially safe but you can also access the 11Labs model I think I stick with the Firefly model And using the next tab here you can select from dozens of high realistic AI voices

[01:33] To preview any of the voices, simply click the play icon on the left-hand side here. Each Firefly speech voice has over 30 emotion tags. Our default voice with no emotion applied is great for explaining things.

[01:45] Each Firefly speech voice has over 30 emotion tags. Each Firefly speech voice has over 30 emotion tags. Each Firefly speech voice has over 30 emotion tags. As you can see, these are super high quality, and if you want to view all the voices,

[02:01] simply go down to the bottom here and click the View More button. Here you can view all the different AI voices that are available for us to use. There are tons of different voices, both male and female, ranging from young adults to seniors.

[02:14] Each voice has its own unique style, so you're sure to find the perfect one for your narration. For this example, I think I'll go with Michael, which is a senior male voice. So after you select which voice you want to use, you can go down to the next section here and select the language.

[02:29] Your language will be auto-detected, but feel free to use the drop-down menu here to select a different language if you like. And underneath this, you can use the slider bars to adjust the speed and the pitch of your voice.

[02:41] And when you ready to add your text simply paste it in or type it into the text field on the right side here When you paste in or start typing your text the text field will get larger and provide us with more editing options For example if I wanted to add a pause

[02:56] after one of my sentences, I can simply use the add pause tab at the bottom here. Feel free to add pauses wherever you need in your script. And after you add your pauses, you can even adjust the length of your pauses by using the drop down menu.

[03:09] And if you highlight any of your text, you'll notice a toolbar appear up top. This will display several options, such as the ability to play the highlighted text, fix pronunciation, find and replace words,

[03:21] and even adjust the tone of the speech. Let's click the play button to preview my highlighted text. Grab your sunnies. Forget the worries. Our deals will have you soaring down under faster than a kangaroo on caffeine.

[03:34] Not bad. And if we click the add tone tab, we can select from tons of neutral, positive, negative, and expressive tones to add to our highlighted text. For my text here, let's see if we can add a positive happy tone.

[03:48] And as you can see, the tone is now displayed beside my text. Let's play the new happy version and see how it sounds. Grab your sunnies, forget the worries. Our deals will have you soaring down under faster than a kangaroo on caffeine.

[04:02] This definitely sounds a lot happier than the first version. So take your time and enhance your script by adding tones to your text where appropriate. And after you finish adding pauses tones and making other adjustments to your script you can go down to the bottom right here and click the generate button You then see a pop up appear showing how many credits it cost

[04:22] If everything looks good, go ahead and click the continue button. AI will then analyze your text and start generating your speech. And once it's finished, a preview of your speech will be available at the bottom here.

[04:34] Feel free to preview your speech and make more edits and adjustments if needed. Once everything sounds good, you can use the download button at the top here to download your new AI-generated speech to your device. There we go.

[04:47] For this example, I created a narration for a travel ad to Australia. I've already added it to an animation using Adobe Express, so let's check it out and see how it sounds. Let's travel to the outback.

[04:59] Grab your sunnies. Forget the word. Our deals will have you soaring down under faster than a kangaroo on caffeine. Touchdown in Sydney's Parsonshore where pieces meet finally. And hey, spot a koala chilling like it's on an eternal vacation.

[05:12] Because in Oz, even the wildlife knows how to relax better than you. It's all today. Not bad. This definitely makes a more engaging online ad. So that's a quick overview of how to use the Generate Speaks feature on Adobe Firefly.
