In this video, CoCarnage gives a tour of their Valheim 1.0 base, showcasing a compact and cozy design that served as the hub for their entire playthrough. The tour covers everything from storage and farming to a throne room and portal network, with personal insights into the build's evolution.
The original plan was a bridge-based house, but structural issues led to a more compact design.
The base includes storage, production, farming, cooking, workshop, throne room, bedroom, and portal network.
A portal connects to the plains farm for biome-specific resources.
The main workshop room handles crafting and building needs.
End-game biomes reintroduce earlier tier resources, making them easier to obtain.
The throne room displays armor sets and trophies, including an Ashland Sea Dragon head.
The bedroom had good comfort but not max, and a portal room overlooks the throne room.
The video provides a detailed tour of a compact, efficient Valheim 1.0 base, highlighting key design choices and the emotional payoff of a well-planned build.

03:41[00:01] Hi everybody, CoCarnage here with another base tour, this time for Valheim 1.0. Before I continue, I just want to say I just wrapped up my Valheim 1.0 run, literally got teary-eyed at the end.
[00:13] It was so much fun! I really enjoyed it. It honestly, although the game got a little frustrating for me towards the end, the last biome like completely saved it for me.
[00:26] I really, really enjoyed the last biome. I loved the last boss fight. It was great. So anyway, on that note, let me show you the little base that we built during this run.
[00:39] So before I begin, to let you guys know, if you were watching this playthrough from the beginning, you probably heard that I was trying to do like a bridge build. This was originally the bridge that we were going to make, and I did it using a hoe and some stone and everything.
[00:52] The original idea was that I was going to put everything in the bridge. So it's going to be like a giant house over the water. But structurally, I had some problems with that. So I decided to pull that back a little bit and do what I did here, which is our Valheim 1.0 build.
[01:06] So this build is pretty much everything that I needed in the entire game um it a little bit more compact than i used to i normally like to make like larger kind of more specific areas for
[01:19] specific things but i actually really liked how cozy this build became and uh and it worked out great so our first area is just some random storage stuff we used a lot of uh black metal
[01:31] for this. Over here we had some ice production over here as well as our earlier tier production. We have a nice little farm here. So many different crops have rotated through this farm as we've been here. Got our mills on the left for anything we need for that. Got some vinerage in the back as
[01:45] well. Getting some good stuff there. This portal goes to my plains farm so there's some resources you can only make in other biomes. We would just take this portal right over to our farm there and do it on that side. Around the outside we had nice fences where there was no water. We had no
[02:00] NPCs getting into our base. Worked great. This is our main food and potion production area. So this has all of our well-cooked food. We also have all of our potions back here that are being nice and
[02:14] steeped Moving into the main central concourse again we have the main workshop room So this is a bunch of different things that are needed to build and craft and do all the various things that you need in here
[02:26] So this was good. Moving through to here, this area down here is more production. We have our ice production here. This is for all the end tier stuff. Not going to talk about it too much because I don't want to spoil it. We've got our plethora of charcoal being done.
[02:40] So our blast furnaces and other furnaces can keep going. little note by the way the end the end game biomes bring back a lot of earlier tier resources so it becomes very nice and easy to get as many as you need it's one of the reasons we had all those the bees chat we're happy the whole time the whole time the bees were happy we appreciated that
[02:58] uh in here we had kind of our baking area there are foods in the game that require baking and food preparation so we had a food prep bench in here and all sorts of stuff going on out here um we also have this portal out here but if you haven't played Valheim I'm not going to talk too
[03:11] much about that. Just know that it's a lot of fun when you get it, and it's going to be great when you do in your run. Moving through here, I had some pretty basic kind of long house design for our main workshop and that kind of moved up the hill into our throne room and bed area This is our main throne room Got some of the different armor sets we used throughout the game on the left and right This right here is the head of an Ashland Sea Dragon Then we have some other various fun stuff from around the area Back here is our
[03:41] bedroom. This was the bedroom we designed. I had a good amount of comfort. We ended up not having max comfort though, so we could have piled it up with even more stuff, but honestly did everything we needed to and then this portal here actually takes us up to there which is my portal room
[03:57] which overlooks my throne room so you can see this area up here actually just goes right down to there and these are all portals that are all over the world in various different places so we could very easily kind of have progress portals and anchor portals and all sorts of things so
[04:13] really worked out well there and to be honest uh-oh i'm getting raided um to be honest that's about it everything was great i had a really good time with this build and i
[04:26] hope you guys enjoyed watching it so we'll be doing a new big build in and shrouded here in just a little bit maybe we'll see with that one too but uh this has been valheim 1.0 had a great time in it like i said i hope you guys did too thanks
