7 Creepy Books That Deserve TV Adaptations

[00:23] different recently on the channel I've been talking a whole lot about adaptations from novels or Comics whatever it is I am fascinated with the concept of taking a pre-existing story and adapting it to film or television I

[00:38] love seeing the process of it I love seeing and breaking down the changes the filmmakers chose to make whether it be because they worked or because they were really misguided choices that ruined the whole thing I just think it's a

[00:51] fascinating topic and so today after having made a whole video on adaptations that surpass their Source material I want to go on the other side and talk about stories that have yet to be adapted now if you're familiar with my

[01:05] adapted now if you're familiar with my channel you know I love my dark stories and a majority of the novels I read tend to be pretty Sinister I'm always on the hunt for a good thriller a good mystery or a horror book and today we're going

[01:19] to explore all three of those I have picked seven novels that I have read in the last few years that I absolutely believe are perfect choices for TV adaptations some of these adaptations would have an easy path to improve on

[01:34] the source material by making a few changes here and there while others just have an atmosphere that is way too cinematic to remain on paper I'm going to tell you about those stories and why I believe they would make great TV

[01:47] series we're going to set a tone create an atmosphere and because I think it's fun I will also pitch my ideal casting choices for the main characters of each watching this is your idea pool instead of

[02:02] rebooting Charlie's Angels for the fifth time maybe you try one of these you're welcome so sit back get yourself a blanket turn off the lights and let's blanket turn off the lights and let's dive in here are seven dark novels that

[02:16] deserve TV adaptations [Music]

[02:33] written by Elizabeth little and released in 2014 dear daughter tells the story of Janie Jenkins a celebrity and Elite itg girl socialite SL influencer who is being released from prison 10 years after being convicted for the murder of

[02:49] her own mother she has escaped her life sentence on a technicality and as soon as she gets out Janie decides to take matters into her her own hands and solve her mother's murder herself to prove her

[03:03] innocence her only clue to start her investigation being a private conversation she overheard on the night of the murder she makes her way to a small town in South Dakota where many secrets from her past seem to have been

[03:17] [Music] hidden dear daughter is a h done it murder mystery with an angle I find very interesting which is the one of involving modern Fame and its Associated social media culture in into the solving

[03:30] social media culture in into the solving of a crime and that is all anchored in to make people talk she's kind of made unlikable on purpose and I think that's

[03:44] what makes her interesting as a protagonist for the quick backstory the character of Janie is based on Paris Hilton or more specifically on the image people had of Perry Silton in the early 2000s the author describes Janie as

[04:01] quote Paris Hilton if she was an evil genius I think that gives you an idea of the vision here Janie is impossibly famous and now the entire world knows she is out of prison she has to try and go undercover to solve her mother's

[04:16] murder and she has to do everything she can to not be recognized everywhere she goes because the media is trying really hard to track her down but the story trick that I love with this book is that Janie doesn't actually remember the

[04:31] night her mother died in its entirety Janie was known to be an excessive party girl abusing alcohol and drugs was kind of her thing and she completely blacked out on that night she has a hole in her memory so she sets out to prove to the

[04:46] world that she didn't kill her mother but she herself is not 100% sure that but she herself is not 100% sure that she didn't do

[04:59] room picking dried blood out from under my fingernails while two detectives in My Confession not that I blamed them I was

[05:12] always going to be the best story next was the trial which didn't have anything to do with what I knew but rather with what other people had decided I knew and soon enough I lost the ability to tell the difference

[05:28] between them Janie and her mother notoriously had a very bitter relationship which makes Janie the prime suspect in a crime like this but all she knows is that her mother's body was found and Jan's name

[05:43] was written on the wall in her mother's Blood by the time she comes out of prison again after 10 years Janie is known to the world as the Hollywood it girl who murdered her own mother she learns there are movies that were made

[05:58] about her killing her mom books documentaries it is so ingrained in society and pop culture that she is a murderer that she feels like she's starting to believe it it's such an interesting angle for a story like that

[06:13] and the book does a pretty good job at keeping you guessing the entire time throughout the entire story you don't know if Janie did it and following her investigation into a murder that might be pointing at herself is really

[06:27] compelling the main setting of the story which which is the small town in South Dakota Janie travels to to find answers gives the book an eerie atmosphere that reminds me of the first season of True Detective A vibe that is just really

[06:41] cool and would make for a very creepy looking TV show this adaptation would maybe have to expand a bit on what has been criticized as being a surprisingly abrupt ending which I definitely agree with and that would be very easy to do

[06:55] because all the elements are there to set it up oh and as promised my perfect casting choice for the role of Janie Jenkins would be Ana Taylor

[07:18] jooy grey Walker is a series of novels started in 2006 by author Cat Richardson it tells the dark story of a woman with a mysterious past named Harper Blaine

[07:30] Harper is a private investigator from Seattle Washington who mostly tracks down smallscale Petty thieves and cheaters to make a living nothing too out of the ordinary except one day one

[07:43] out of the ordinary except one day one of her cases goes horribly complete Maniac she was investigating for a client and he mercilessly

[07:55] viciously beats her almost to death well not almost actually because Harper gets assaulted so violently that she is pronounced clinically dead for 2

[08:10] minutes after which she is revived by paramedics she wakes up in the hospital a couple of days later and stays there for weeks to recover in intensive care but that is where things take a strange turn as she tries to go back to her life

[08:26] after leaving the hospital Harper notices that things are not the same she sees things and hears things she is not supposed to see or hear and around that exact same time she starts getting the uncomfortable impression that someone is

[08:43] uncomfortable impression that someone is following coincidence very quickly Harper's life completely changes as she discovers she completely changes as she discovers she has become a gray

[08:58] Walker a rare being capable of navigating the gray the supernatural Frontier between our world and the other

[09:16] because I don't want to spoil anything but gry Walker is a great series of novels with insanely clever World building and this story doesn't waste any time to set the tone the first book literally begins with an excruciating ly

[09:29] Vivid account of how Harper was beaten to death it is incredibly Grim but it really lets you know what you're in for it's Bleak it's brutal it's Unapologetic and it doesn't pull any punches Harper is a very interesting character to

[09:44] explore she's kind of broken and lonely there is a lot you don't know about her and that's on purpose because her new circumstances force her to take a look into her past in ways she wishes she could avoid and it makes her character

[09:58] could avoid and it makes her character incredibly compelling the tone of gry Walker is also gripping it's like this dark Noir detective story with a rainy and gloomy atmosphere set in an alternate version

[10:13] of Seattle heavily inspired by Urban Gothic imagery think the Batman with a similar version of Gotham City that feels cold ominous creepy and hopeless but instead of a detective dressed as a bat you get a private investigator more

[10:29] runed to Kristen Ritter's Jessica Jones except she's even more messed up and she can see ghosts I haven't read every book in the series but everything I've read so far I really liked there are nine books in The Grey Walker Saga I'm pretty

[10:43] sure the series is over now and I think the stories are built in a way where each book could translate to one 10ish episode season as you will see in this list I am a sucker for well-crafted Mysteries and I think this is a great

[10:56] way to have a TV show that perfectly blends mystery action and horror and also my perfect pick for the role of Harper Blaine would

[11:29] woman named Liv reesee when the Story begins Liv wakes up in the back of a taxi with no idea of where she is or how she got there she doesn't have her phone she doesn't have her purse the only thing she finds in her pocket is a

[11:44] thing she finds in her pocket is a bloody her apartment but when she gets there a stranger opens the door and he and his wife claim to be living here Liv is completely disoriented and that is when

[11:59] she discovers something on her skin her hands and arms are covered in scribbles written in her own handwriting repeating the same thing over and over

[12:11] the same thing over and over again stay awake no matter how hard she tries Liv cannot bring herself to remember what happened the previous night and so she spends the entirety of this night

[12:25] wandering the cold streets of New York City in her confusion and that's when City in her confusion and that's when her first terrifying realization hits her first terrifying realization hits her it's cold the leaves are

[12:45] Autumn but Liv's last memory which she assumed to be from the previous day is assumed to be from the previous day is of her at her office in the middle of the summer so she hasn't forgotten the

[12:58] summer so she hasn't forgotten the events of the last 12

[13:13] her situation Liv decides to make her way to her place of work the office where she writes for a trendy magazine but once she gets there she realizes everything is different and most of the people there don't seem to recognize her

[13:27] one woman approaches her and understands who Liv is but she seems confused about her presence here she explains that not only has Liv not worked here in a really long time she had also moved to London a while ago and was no longer living in

[13:42] New York which explains why a stranger is now living in her apartment and that is now living in her apartment and that is how Liv finds out with horror that she is not missing a couple of months of her life she's missing a couple of years

[14:03] information sink in that another problem arrives on the news Liv sees a report that police is currently investigating a murder in which the victim's blood was used to write a message on a window a message that is way too familiar to her

[14:20] now because she has the same one written on her own on her own body stay awake

[14:32] of the entire list this is my favorite premise for any of these stories this might be my favorite premise for any book I've read in recent years I absolutely adore this idea and I love the doors this idea opens to create a

[14:47] path for the story to play out the protagonist has a unique circumstance that kind of switches up the usual story points you see in h done it murder mystery basically without spoiling any big plot point in the book book you find

[14:59] out very early on that live has a memory trigger every time she falls asleep her memory resets that means no matter what happens resets that means no matter what happens when she wakes up her last memory will

[15:14] always be of July 31st 2 years ago anything after that point in time she cannot remember the reason why it makes it interesting in the story is because it allows you the reader to know things live doesn't because if Liv falls asleep

[15:31] in chapter 7 then she no longer remembers the first seven chapters of the book if she falls asleep again in Chapter 13 then she no longer remembers the first 13 chapters of the book it's a very interesting way to explore the

[15:45] unreliable narrator Trope which admittedly is a storytelling Trope I usually don't like that much the other thing that really works is the jewel timeline of the story throughout the book you follow Liv at two different

[15:59] points in time you have the present timeline where she tries to figure out what is going on and you have a flashback timeline taking place 2 years prior before her memory started to reset both stories kind of come together with

[16:12] some reveals and it makes for a very compelling way to uncover the mystery the book admittedly doesn't do it perfectly because it falls a little too much into repetition which is bound to happen when you are constantly inside of

[16:25] that's why this story device would work work better on TV oh yeah um cuz I forgot to mention the book is not very good yeah that's why it's not higher on

[16:38] counterproductive for me to put this in here even though I didn't love the novel I'm suggesting to adapt but it makes sense in my head let me explain the book has some pacing issues it's a little too slow it has a lot of very flat

[16:53] underwritten one-dimensional characters there's a whole Side Story following the detectives and investigating the murder and they are kind of boring like every time a chapter starts and it says the name detective Darcy Halliday I'd be

[17:06] like God damn it like that was by far my least favorite part of the novel The Book itself is a little too long for its own good and the ending is really rushed and mostly unsatisfying but the reason why I think this should be adapted even

[17:21] though I think the book Falls flat is because the concept of it the premise of because the concept of it the premise of the novel is [ __ ] spectacular it is such a fantastic idea that I think it deserves a shot at being improved on and

[17:35] I think it is a perfect fit for TV stay awake would have to be one of these books that serve more as a basis for a looser adaptation rather than a faithful one it would have to be an adaptation that sort of remixes parts of the story

[17:49] and characters to make it all work better kind of like what we talked about in my video about adaptations that surpass The Source material namely with the boys and Incredibly good show adapted from a comic book series that is

[18:01] not good at all but that despite not being good at all had a good idea to improve on I think the concept and core ideas of stay awake are just way too good and could make for a fantastic limited series that tells the story of

[18:16] the book and drastically improves it oh and of course my perfect casting pick to play Liv re would be one of my favorite actresses working today sersha Ronin as for the roles of detective Darcy Halliday and Jack lvll I would

[18:31] give their characters more substance and I would cast Arden Show and RR I would cast Arden Show and RR [Music]

[20:34] the passenger is a psychological Thriller by Patrick Sia that came out in 1995 it tells the story of a 28-year-old college professor named Ian Sig from the city of Montreal Canada he's about to start his new job and the college he

[20:49] teaches at is slightly outside of the city so iten has about an hourong drive to get there every single day no problem he likes it he gets to relax and listen to music which helps him cope with his recent breakup but every day as he does

[21:05] his little commute it's Yen notices a hitchhiker always standing at the same hitchhiker always standing at the same exit and one day he decides to take him in The Hitchhiker is named Alex and he and ien get along immediately so much so

[21:22] that ien decides to grab Alex on his way to work at the same exit every morning it becomes kind of their little ritual and it's good to make a new friend however things quickly start to change and ien realizes that something about

[21:38] and ien realizes that something about Alex is off Alex says a lot of things that don't entirely make sense and a lot of things

[21:50] that make a little too much sense he's weird a little unsettling and he also seems to know a lot of things about ATN in his life things that Ian himself was not aware of very quickly Ian realizes that

[22:06] meeting Alex may not have been The Coincidence he believed it to be who is Coincidence he believed it to be who is Alex what does he want and more [Music] importantly why is he appearing

[22:29] French Canadian author who is incredibly well-known and respected in Quebec the French part of Canada I live in Montreal in Quebec where he lives too I think and here this guy is no joke he has written

[22:43] a number of horror classics that really marked people to the point where Patrick has earned the title of Canada step King his stories are dark profoundly messed his stories are dark profoundly messed up and have very memorable Concepts and

[22:57] to be completely honest I could have put so many of his books into this list I think a number of his stories would make for fantastic adaptations hell.com is the story of an extremely wealthy

[23:11] businessman who slowly loses his sanity when he is introduced to an exclusive website that allows you to have literally anything you want as long as you're ready to pay for it it's a very slow descent into madness as you watch

[23:24] this man get addicted to the control and progressively push the boundaries of his morals truly a frightening psychological horror take on Greed so many of his books could make great TV shows especially because a number of his

[23:39] novels are famously connected in a single shared Universe I honestly could have picked any of them but the novel I ultimately picked is the passenger his ultimately picked is the passenger his second novel The Story of ien is grim

[23:52] but extremely compelling it has a tone that reminds me of something like sharp objects and I love how the my plays on several levels here Alex is an unsettling creep who knows too much about Yen which is worrying because itan

[24:06] suffers from Amnesia and doesn't remember the first eight years of his life the way the plot unfolds is really captivating and the ending is executed would be adapted on screen the unfortunate thing for most people

[24:20] watching this video is that the passenger is an incredibly underrated book and since the 9s it has become pretty much impossible possible to find a version of the book translated in English or any other language for that

[24:33] matter I'm pretty sure they're not being printed anymore I tried to look online in dozens of places but I think this novel only exists in French now the interesting thing with the passenger though is that back in 2013 a filmmaker

[24:47] named Oliver Sabino partnered with Patrick Cal and they tried to crowdfund would have been released in theaters in 2018 or 2019 but it failed and the

[24:59] the production never being given the appropriate budget Oliver had actually made a short film based on the book as a proof of concept and it showed that his version was leaning heavily into the horror aspect of the story iten was

[25:14] going to be renamed Edward and the director was apparently looking at Aaron Paul to play one of the two main characters in 2019 Oliver confirmed they were still working on the project and trying to get it up and running that was

[25:29] already 6 years after the initial announcement and we are now another 5 years later it's been over a decade at this point and nothing has happened so I adaptation but I think the perfect way to adapt the passenger would be in a

[25:43] like six episode miniseries that really leaves time to dissect all of the meticulous details of the book and flesh out the characters the novel is not very long but it really asks you to pay attention to everything and if you cut

[25:57] something things out to fit it in a 2-hour movie you might lose a lot of the punch that impacts the surprises in the plot there are a number of story points that are shocking and that would make for fantastic Cliffhangers the series

[26:10] could have a feel and atmosphere very similar to a Fincher movie or a more classic Scandinavian Noir as for the main roles I think Alfred ench would be an absolutely Stellar Choice for Ian and for the role of Alex I think I would go

[26:24] for someone like pen badley there's also a police officer named Louie in the book I think if I were to adapt this into a series what I would do is actually

[26:36] gender swap this character and give her a bigger role in the story I can't really explain why because that would be going into spoiler territory but yeah Louie would now be Louise and I would cast Janina gavankar in the role

[27:09] because this is not a novel this is a comic book but my answer to that is this is my video and I do whatever I want but also it's just too good not to include here so bear with me I'll explain something is killing the children is a

[27:22] Gothic comic book series that started in 2019 and takes place in a small town 2019 and takes place in a small town called speak where a number of children begin to go missing most children never return but the ones that do come back

[27:36] with bizarre yet Vivid stories about terrifying creatures living in the shadows one of those kids named James is the only Survivor of a group of missing children he claims that he watched them being massacred in the most violent way

[27:51] imaginable by a horrifying monster but people believe he killed his friends so James isolates himself from everyone else confused by what he saw yet unable to talk about it until he meets a mysterious woman named era

[28:07] [Music] slaughter a woman who seems to have her only purpose to hunt down these creatures and exterminate

[28:23] is quite Sinister as a story I won't go too much into details but this is not a comic book for kids let me just tell you that it is really really dark and violent but the characters are by far the most fascinating part of it

[28:38] comic's incredibly mysterious protagonist Erica Slaughter Erica is a merciless badass who tracks down monsters and kills them with wit and skills think Buffy the Vampire Slayer but darker more vulgar and way more emo

[28:56] however that is just the surface with her Erica is a tortured soul with an eerie and mysterious past we know very little about her but you get the sense that she has seen things most people could not bear to see there is a

[29:10] nonchalance to her that is almost unsettling she's the type of person who always looks like she knows something you don't she's incredibly intelligent and cold while also being caring and generous her motives are not always

[29:25] clear she's always talking on the phone to an unknown caller who she seems to really dislike and the overall mystery around her and her mysterious Origins are fascinating to get into Erica alone is even more interesting than the

[29:38] already gripping story and she truly makes this series one of the best comic book sagas in a really long [Music]

[29:52] issue last year I have been obsessed with the idea of it being adapted into a TV show and I feel like this might be my biggest dream come true because in 2023 it was announced that something is killing the children is being adapted

[30:06] into a TV show and not only that but in what is probably the greatest news imaginable it was also announced that the comics are being adapted by odar and F who if you don't know is the legendary German Duo of filmmakers behind my

[30:21] favorite show of all time the three season Masterpiece season Masterpiece dark they also made The Fantastic 1899 which was cancelled way too soon needless to say words cannot describe

[30:35] how happy I am about this news especially because odar and free are not only Masters at capturing very dark tones with Eerie atmospheres they're also worldclass writers with a real pension for characters and a very

[30:49] intense attention to detail which this Source material most definitely needs to work they're quite literally the best people for the job and so something is killing the children is now my number one most anticipated show we haven't had

[31:02] any updates since that Netflix announcement and I believe there have not been any casting announcements made yet so I'll just pitch in and say that my dream choice for the role of Erica Slaughter would be none other than

[31:15] Kristen Stewart I mean it's it's kind of a no-brainer they're literally the same person like seriously I wouldn't be surprised if the vibe of Erica Slaughter was directly inspired by Kristen Stewart they just feels so

[31:30] they just feels so [Music] for most of the video now we're switching to straight up switching to straight up [Music]

[31:55] horror boys in the valley is a horror novel by Philip frassi released in 2023 it takes place in an isolated all boys orphanage in Pennsylvania in the year 1905 the 30 young boys living there are

[32:09] completely shut out from the rest of the world they are under the care of abusive priests who subject them to daily forced labor and excessively strict rules that labor and excessively strict rules that if broken lead to extremely violent

[32:24] punishments the boys are united like family they look out for one another make sure no rules are broken so none of them have to suffer more than they already do the oldest of the boys an orphan named Peter who lost his parents

[32:37] to a violent murder 7 years prior is about to become of age and he is torn between a life of religion and his desire to exit this place to explore the desire to exit this place to explore the world and live a free

[32:53] down in their dorm ready to go to sleep they suddenly start to hear some intense [Music] [Applause] downstairs a group of men led by the town sheriff barged into the orphanage

[33:06] in the middle of the night begging the priests to come to their help they're transporting another man who appears to be severely injured he is whining screaming he appears to be completely out of control and Incredibly dangerous

[33:20] he's abnormally strong he makes awful sounds that sound more animalistic than human and there are bizarre ult symbols carved all over his body the priests immediately understand the threat and do what they can to

[33:35] attempt to help the man but in the middle of their intervention he suddenly [Music] dies and with his last breath an ancient entity an evil of

[33:50] breath an ancient entity an evil of unspoken power is released into the orphanage [Music]

[34:03] [Music] from then everything changes very soon some of the boys begin to act strange aggressive violent cruel the most mentally vulnerable ones are overtaken by this unseen presence unleashing

[34:18] absolute chaos and Devastation across the orphanage filled with a devious sense of Rage blood lust and murderous impulse and before long the orphanage impulse and before long the orphanage finds itself split into two groups Peter

[34:32] becomes the leader of the first Clan those who have kept their humanity and another boy named bartholomeo becomes the leader of the bartholomeo becomes the leader of the other Clan the other side the one that

[34:46] other Clan the other side the one that appears to have fallen to this ancient appears to have fallen to this ancient [Music]

[34:58] scariest books I have ever read it is Terror incarnate the sheer darkness of Terror incarnate the sheer darkness of this novel is just wild demonic possessions and horror stories is never something I particularly gravitated

[35:12] towards unless it's like exceptionally well done and that is 100% the case here frassi plunges you in an atmosphere that is so dark so unapologetically Sinister

[35:24] is so dark so unapologetically Sinister that it feels heavy it does not hold any punches it creates a horrifying sense of dread where no one is safe where death can strike at any moment and all of it is anchored in a setting that is as

[35:38] is anchored in a setting that is as creepy as it gets but it doesn't stop there the story also hits really hard with its themes and its emotions Peter is a great protagonist as the oldest boy in the orphanage who like I said is torn

[35:52] between wanting Freedom or following a more religious path with his life because religion was such a huge part of everything in the early 1900s there's also a lot of ambiguity when it comes to the Demonic presence inside of the

[36:05] orphanage the book constantly blurs the line where some of the boys are clearly being influenced by this ancient evil While others not so sure some of them seem to only be giving in to their darkest instincts once everything goes

[36:19] to hell kind of suggesting that sometimes human beings on their own can sometimes human beings on their own can be just as depraved as an actual demon the way frassi carries all of these themes through the story without ever

[36:32] losing the pace or the thrill of it is genuinely impressive the creepiness of the story is constant and horrific and I could totally and I mean totally see

[36:44] this being adapted as a miniseries on Netflix or something think Haunting of Hill House but with a shot of hereditary and a heavy dose of Insidious that's kind of what boys in the valley feels like and I would actually cast Charlie

[36:58] bushnel from the Percy Jackson series as Peter I think he would absolutely nail this Persona of the Big Brother of the orphanage taking a stance against orphanage taking a stance against literal

[37:22] evil welcome to the final story [Music]

[37:41] in 2019 my lovely wife is a Sinister Thriller following a married couple with a seemingly perfect life they live in a beautiful house in the suburbs they work and take care of their two kids they're good parents they are picture perfect

[37:57] they are your neighbors the parents of your kids friend the acquaintances you keep meaning to get dinner with the perfect Suburban married couple except for one thing this couple has a hobby a little

[38:15] thing they do on their own time to keep the spark alive to retain some excitement in their marriage every couple needs that but it just so happens that their Hobby is the art of committing perfect

[38:36] the story the less I say about this one the better trust me my lovely wife is Samantha downing's debut novel she has published a handful of them since then but none of them have become a Smash Hit the way the first one has again I'm not

[38:50] going to say much about the story all I will tell you is that the wife the book is titled after is named

[39:09] most unsettling characters I have encountered in a very long

[39:23] let's just say ment is a character that is bound to to be remembered and this story as a whole is just as creepy as she is the entire book is told from the

[39:36] perspective of the husband who remains unnamed for the entirety of the story the relationship between ment and the husband is the driving force of the plot and is really compelling the way they go about crafting this calculated image of

[39:51] the perfect little Suburban family is so fascinating to me and it would make for fascinating to me and it would make for a cap ating Thriller on

[40:04] wife is that in 2020 I believe it was announced that a TV adaptation actually was in the works and was set to be produced by nicool Kidman or more specifically nickl Kidman's company for Amazon Prime which started to bring up

[40:20] rumors that Nicole herself would be taking on the role of mcent however this was 4 years ago and and nothing has happened so I think the project might be dead oh update it turns out the project was dead but was then revived by Netflix

[40:37] who announced in April of 2023 that they were adapting my lovely wife as a movie set to be directed by Julia Hart the writer and director of I'm your woman though but the movie was set to be released later in

[40:53] 2024 however we are now a year later there's still have been no news on the project past that initial announcement still no casting still no production date so I will go ahead and assume that project is also dead it seems to be a

[41:07] bit of a curse Samantha Downing is a victim of because in 2021 another one of her novels a thriller titled for your own good was announced to have an HBO Max adaptation in development set to be produced by Greg brolan and Robert

[41:22] Downey Jr but we are now 3 years later and nothing this show is not happening and it's been the same with my lovely wife on two different streaming platforms so since nobody was cast I guess I'm going to have to step up and

[41:36] do it without even an ounce of hesitation my top pick to play the husband would be Oscar Isaac it's just it's a perfect fit he's the guy for for the role of millant would have been nicool Kidman but it seems like she's

[41:52] not going to do it so my second pick that would be bringing back a legendary Duo to the the screen would be none other than Jessica Chastain if you know you know these two have impeccable chemistry they would bring this

[42:06] relationship to life to Perfection they're both fantastic performers and they both have the intensity to portray the slow descent into madness that is the slow descent into madness that is the story of my lovely
