This video is a detailed, frame-by-frame breakdown of the Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 trailer, uncovering Easter eggs, character connections, and theories about the upcoming season. The host, Eric Boss, analyzes the trailer's visuals and dialogue to speculate on plot points involving Thrawn, the Nightsisters, and Ahsoka's past.
The video is a frame-by-frame breakdown of the Ahsoka Season 2 trailer, also referred to as 'Rebels season 6' or 'Clone Wars season 7 and a half', highlighting its connection to the broader Star Wars narrative.
The trailer opens with New Republic U-wings delivering infantry to Dathomir, the dangerous territory where Thrawn and the Great Mothers relocated at the end of Season 1. The host notes the use of fog to save budget, a common Lucasfilm technique.
A flashback shows Ahsoka and Anakin walking among dead clone troopers in snow, with Force ghost Anakin asking 'What troubles you?' This suggests Ahsoka is revisiting traumatic memories from the Clone Wars.
A mysterious figure with a double-sided saber staff that can split apart appears. The host speculates this could be a Jedi who foresaw Order 66 or has ties to the Son of Mortis, given the facial markings.
Grand Admiral Thrawn returns, declaring war on the Rebel Alliance and addressing the 'Glorious Empire'. The host compares this to a historical analogy, emphasizing Thrawn's refusal to recognize the New Republic's legitimacy.
The presence of other Star Destroyers suggests the Imperial Shadow Council is involved. The host speculates on the return of characters like Commodore Karyn Farro and Officer Eli Vanto from the Thrawn novels.
TIE bombers swarm a planet, likely Corellia, and drop mole miners that burrow into New Republic ships, deploying Nightsisters. This is a direct adaptation of a tactic from the 'Heir to the Empire' novel.
Force ghost Anakin mentions Baylan Skoll's claim to knowledge of a power that could end wars. The host connects this to the Mortis gods and the scrapped 'Duel of the Fates' storyline, suggesting a deeper mystical plot.
Force ghost Anakin tells Ahsoka this season will be her trial, closing the book on her unanswered questions. This involves confronting Baylan Skoll and the gods of Mortis.
The trailer asks 'Are you a Jedi?' The host notes Ahsoka's history of saying 'I am no Jedi' and hopes the season will firmly answer this question, possibly with a 'no'.
The host theorizes that the green atmosphere planet seen in the trailer could be Dathomir after the Nightsisters' resurrection magic fully revitalizes the planet, restoring it to a land of natural wonder.
The trailer sets up a season of open warfare, mystical trials, and personal closure for Ahsoka, with deep connections to the Mortis arc and the Thrawn novels. The host is excited to break down every episode and encourages viewers to share their own theories.

16:32[00:02] for Ahsoka season 2. Welcome back to New Rockstars. I'm Eric Boss and this is a breakdown of the trailer for Star Wars Ahsoka season 2, also known as Rebels season 6 or Clone Wars season 7 and a half. I mean, let's be honest, all of
[00:15] these shows are cooking with Fonian friends, and that's what we want. In trailer frame by frame to find all the clues and interesting Star Wars details that you missed in this trailer. The shirt I'm wearing is this exclusive mall
[00:28] available exclusively at our merch store, nerdrite.shop. All part of some The best way to support what we're doing here at New Rockstars. And we love it the world and then post selfies and tag
[00:42] us like Deck Gibbons SWLE and his best friend Hayden Christensen. Thanks for to get out a selfie this close to him, but I did get a photo with him. Anyway, trailer. Tell me, Ahsoka,
[00:57] Tell me, Ahsoka, what troubles you?
[01:12] >> The trailer opens with New Republic U wings delivering their so far untested and mostly useless infantry with their stupid bull helmets to very dangerous territory, Dothamir. This is where Grand Admiral Thrawn and the great mothers and
[01:25] relocated on board the Chimera at the end of Ahsoka season 1. Arriving from the galaxy where Priia is back to the galaxy where everything else is. We have seen Dathmir's red misty sinister looking surface in animation and in
[01:38] are seeing it in live action and it looks pretty good. But the budget for season 2 is reportedly even less than season 1 which is surprising given the Lucasfilm can still operate the way it does is they do everything in-house and
[01:51] they have been building for decades, even between seasons. So, it's not like brand new worlds every time. They already have a lot of this hardware and sometimes they just upgrade it with minor tweaks. Also, the Lucasfilm
[02:05] love of the game, and that's why we love them. And part of the way they save cost on these Disney Plus shows is the fog of war. They used a similar move in Ahsoka season 1 episode 5 to show to the battle of te. Very, very foggy there. And
[02:18] Disney Plus used it for the long take Jos's fight scene in Daredevil Borning in season 1. A very foggy sequence where Foggy died. Ah, good old smoke and foggy. Got to love it. While the night troopers march forward unperturbed, even
[02:30] new Republic trooper on the left of the screen taking a few steps and retreat. Now, these mountains appear to be half buried coffins. most likely the hundreds Paridia in the season 1 finale, which we believe to contain the dead night
[02:44] to resurrect with their witchcraft. I have a bad feeling about this. This is Republic. And I just feel bad for these youngans being sent into this death Chopper are going to be there to witness whatever horrific stuff goes down. But
[02:59] then we see part of a Clone Wars era flashback where Ariana Greenplat once Hayden Christensen returns as her master Anakin during this period of time. I selfie with Rosario Dawson and Hayden
[03:12] Christensen and Aman Fondi at D23 and my life was forever changed. I felt as warmly embraced as that loath cat and Rosario's arms. But here Ahsoka and Anakin walk among dead clone troopers covered in snow. We hear force ghost
[03:24] Anakin asking what troubles you? And uh Anakin it's this traumatic memory adope. Anakin and Ahsoka's new snow jackets at D23, and the design is really cool. I banana fur. And there's a Jedi Order patch, meaning the Jedi Order itself
[03:38] And Anakin's coat includes a leather glove high on his right forearm to cover during this period. The way the world between worlds showed Ahsoka the battle there's going to be some other memory from these three years among the dozens
[03:53] of battles and missions that Ahsoka is only now remembering. Why only now? Well, it's got to be this dude. He stands in the trees. Yes, more fog. there. And he turns around and ignites his double-sided blade where the HILTS
[04:06] CAN SPLIT APART AND FORM a middle section. I love it. No notes. The whole thing is even more of a saber staff like Maul's double-sided blade. I think we actually saw this design with one of the Jedi Temple guards in the 2015 comic
[04:19] Kanan the Last Padawan. So, how many Kyber crystals does this saber staff this interesting teal color. So, I wouldn't call this guy a Sith or a Force, but he's either A, a Jedi who foresaw Order 66 and freaked out and
[04:33] killed his clone troopers before they could turn on him, or B, a Jedi with some different loyalties because notice the markings on his face. To me, those look like the markings of the son of Mortise. We know the gods of mortise
[04:45] heavily into this season because on Paridia, Ahsoka and Sabine are going to Skull on some path that follows the giant Argonesque statue of the father of season that Dave Falona will show us the terrifying mother deity of Abaloth. So,
[05:02] Mortise at some point and decided to this memory something that happened after Ahsoka and Anakin experiences in Mortise or did it happen before? And Ahsoka is only now connecting the dots
[05:14] going to assume it's after. In Force Ghost, Anakin and Ahsoka are going to gods of Mortise as Ahsoka revisits that whole mystical mystery this season. As rogue, we see that his saber hilt can also connect back in the center for a
[05:30] more maul style grip. He force throws a log that Ahsoka dives beneath with her green blade sizzling in the snow while the mystery man continues to roll midair in the present force ghost Anakin tells Ahsoka that he's always walking by her
[05:44] side. I just love this idea that ever since Luke Skywalker duled his father redeemed himself by killing the Emperor and died. Anakin's force ghost was just was strengthen Ahsoka in the years after the Galactic Civil War ended so that
[05:58] when she was on Corvvis and met Grou force ghost Anakin was right there too. All right, moving on. >> Citizens of the glorious Empire. I have returned. I took an oath to protect the Empire.
[06:13] I therefore declare war on the Rebel Alliance. Lars Mickelson is back as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and he is perfect. I was trying to figure out why compared to when we saw him in season 1. Is it the V-shaped veins on his forehead
[06:28] that make him look like his animated form? No, because those were there in of blue? Maybe. I mean, he definitely has a different hairpiece, but I really arrival in that covered location in season 1 just made the lighting feel
[06:42] artificial on his face. But now on this bridge of the Chimera with the light of a nearby sun shining on him. He really does look more like we last saw him in of lighting is how we have remembered
[06:54] him. Thrawon in this section releases a public transmission just like the way he talks in the Timothy Zan Thrawn book trilogy. Thrawon here so smugly acts like the Empire never ended, addressing the citizens of the Glorious Empire and
[07:06] only referring to the New Republic as the Rebel Alliance. Yeah. refusing to any legitimate government authority. It'd be like years after the Battle of General Corn Wallace coming back and saying, "Um, hello subjects of King
[07:22] George, you mere colonies of our empire, I declare war on the rebel that you call President George Washington." We see his star destroyer of the Chimera in the red clouds of Datamir being joined by a few
[07:35] behind him. Now notice there's a kind of attachment to the nose of the Chimera. I think this must be some kind of cannon or super laser. Not a planet killer, but something that can certainly destroy very large ships like the Moncalamari
[07:49] space battle shots later in this trailer. But the fact that there are other star destroyers here shows us that the Imperial Shadow Council is in an season 3 and the Mandalorian and Grou film. But I'm guessing Gilead Pelleon is
[08:02] still in power and has been able to keep some remaining warlords and their Now that woman standing next to Thron on the bridge, could this be Commodore Karen Farro? She first appeared in Timothy Zhan's 2017 Thrawn novel and in
[08:15] the Thrawn comic series that followed. I hope we see her and maybe some others in the Imperial rank from these stories like Officer Eli Vanto. Meanwhile, on the other side, General Harrison Villa walks with Senator Zeono and Ezra
[08:27] Bridger in a pilot flight suit behind them reacting to Thron's transmission. And we see Thron sitting casually with a drink in his hand and his commander some of the collectibles he had in Star Wars Rebels, including the sculptures of
[08:40] the Iselamiri, the four-eyed lizards that Thrawon used to project anti-force books. They were able to block the force when Luke tried to use it. on the other mortise and that white and gold Jedi
[08:54] in Star Wars Rebels. But we know from Star Wars Rebels that in addition to the lizard statue, Thron's office is actually filled with a whole bunch of Grail from Indiana Jones in the Last Crusade. There's Clone Commander Gre
[09:07] this is one of the guys that Yoda beheaded on Kashik during Order 66. There's a bust of an abanedto lol ai species created force awakens a species titles recently with all the names referencing beasty boy songs. We know he
[09:22] McCrory's concept art that rebels used as a painting of Lothal. And Thron used to have a Calakori that he stole from the Synindola family, but Kane and Jerus stole it back for Hera. Yeah, we see Harrison and Senator Ziono reacting to a
[09:35] hollow display of these three star destroyers in these rings as it looks hyperspace. So, what's going on here? as Thron left Datamir and is now arriving at one of these core worlds. Is he attacking Corellia or even try to retake
[09:48] episodes, we're going to be following Thrawon's full military campaign. He's He's going to be successful, and I kind of want him to win at least a little of want him to win at least a little bit. Onto the next clip.
[10:10] I had a vision. What did you see? More >> All right, in this section, Tai bombers swarm out of a star destroyer and atmosphere planet. I think this might be the shipyard in the orbit of Corellia.
[10:26] background of the shot looks a lot like the floating shipyard that's in the orbit of Corellia. The Thai bombers dropped these mole miners on a New this were actually acquired by Thron in Heir to the Empire, but Han and Lando
[10:40] once to depressurize the hall. But here, they're going to be pretty successful. They burrow into the New Republic ship and like a virus, drop in these Nights awesome. I actually was able to see concept art of her and other night
[10:53] sisters at the Ahsoka booth at D23. They are all unique. And this one has braids and like a top knot and gnarly teeth because you know she's been dead. But also when she dies she screams and turns into this bright green mystical energy
[11:05] which is what is reanimating these corpses. That's what we saw with Maro that I'm rooting for the night sisters. Concept art from D23 suggest that we're sisters with different appearances in this one fight. But in the shot of the
[11:19] TIE bombers in space preceding this, I think that is a gladiator class star new Republic logo, but that might be on the shipyard itself. But yeah, you can background of 49 seconds in this shot of the B-wings. The Gladiator class star
[11:33] Wars droids, and I think this would be its first appearance in live action. I Republic would take these type of star destroyers to make it part of their fleet. And I think it is the Gladiator class. Thanks to Zukdock for sponsoring

[12:56] lighting up in the red clouds that it zips toward and to the left a huge storm happening to the planet of Datamir that I'm going to talk about at the end of this video. Next, we see this cool shot. A lineup of night brothers as Enoch and
[13:09] with the bald head and the red lower half of her face with tusks standing before the three great mothers, Acropa, Clo, and Lexis connecting their red beams the way they did on Paridia in season 1. I think we're about to see all
[13:22] their coffins or something else happened on Damir. Ahsoka tells Sabine on Paridia that she had a vision and she saw war. The editing of the scene and just the similar vocal pitches of Rosario Dawson and Natasha Leo Bordo just kind of make
[13:35] like it's one person talking. >> What did you see more? passed since season 1 based off of Sabine's hair length. Hopefully we don't looking flatlands of Paridia and get right into some cooler looking mountains
[13:50] and caves. Here we see three B- Wings fire their ion cannons perfectly synced on the Chimera with the Eye of Scion hyperspace ring around it. While several other New Republic ships engage in the space battle, Ahsoka and Sabine ride up
[14:02] to these circular runes on Paridia with more World Between Worlds looking designs. Ahsoka opens up a moss covered disc that opens in a yin-yang formation when they rode up to it didn't look like it should go that deep. Let's move on to
[14:15] >> Balen claimed to have knowledge of a power. master. power. master. >> One that could end wars.
[14:32] the Game of Thrones series. He's now Ray Stevenson. We're in a heavy blizzard here, so we can't really make him out that clearly, but Shin calls out to her master, but he seems to ignore her and
[14:44] engaging her. Force ghost Anakin explains, "Balin claimed to have wars." First off, it's super interesting to me that Anakin Skywalker had some past history with Balin's skull, but we're all asking now, what is this
[14:58] interesting that Balin Skull started out with altruistic objectives. He was not embracing a power that might be exploiting him for a kind of negative Sith and the dark side. And I'm assuming it has something to do with the Mortise
[15:13] of this was going to be featured in the Duel of the Fates version of episode 9 and Matt Smith's character, the stuff that was scrapped, and Dave Fona is in this season of Ahsoka. We see Sabine and Ahsoka in this interesting chamber
[15:27] with beams of light. Yeah, Lucasfilm loves its Indiana Jones core, doesn't same line and circle design of the world between worlds, but in this temple, we guarding it that they fight at the end of the trailer. Then we see more of the
[15:41] atmosphere planet that again I think is Corellia. I mean we're seeing three worlds from space in this trailer. The red Damir, the blue world that I think then we get the shot of Chopper in the hangar bay and then Ezra and Zeb hugging
[15:54] it out reuniting. Wonderful to see. Now is this Zeb after what he did to help Dingjarun in the Mandalorian and Grou? And if that's true is I am my own man Rod of the Hut slithering around this base doing push-ups as Bridger launches
[16:07] an A-wing. This is an RZ2 A-wing, an upgrade from the RZ1 A-wing during the Rebel Alliance era. I like how the ship design is reflecting the transition from the Rebel era to the New Republic Resistance era. Ezra also flew an A-wing
[16:20] E-wing, which I hope is being piloted by Zeb. Onto the next clip. Jedi. >> This is your trial, Ahsoka.
[16:32] >> Make it time to decide. As Ahsoka reminds us of when she walked Wars. >> I'm sorry, Master, >> I'm sorry, Master, but I'm not coming back.
[16:46] >> We see another flash of Ahsoka and Anakin in that snowy forest, and Anakin confused, like he's really upset about what we're going to learn about that old teal saber staff Jedi with the mortise tattoos. We see more of the Datamir
[16:59] going to be joining that assault. And then force ghost Anakin tells Ahsoka trial this season will be finally closing the book on her unanswered And she's going to need Balen Skull and his misunderstanding of these gods in
[17:13] order to achieve that closure. Ahsoka and Sabine arm themselves against these crazy looking creatures on Paria with spikes on their skinny skinny arms. Kind pasta meme. Like I know these things have chased me through the back rooms.
[17:25] lightsaber against Enoch's plasma blade. And then Shinhadi duels Hu Yang who has lightsaber action with four blades from his droid arms. It looks like Huyang is parked in a nie village on Paridia. I mean, if Shinhadi was a Jedi who went
[17:40] through the whole Jedi initiate rituals along with everybody else, will Hu Yang remember her as a Padawan whom he took to Ilum to pick out her Kyber crystal? I last clip. >> Are you a Jedi
[18:05] they're now forcing this question because in Rebels, Ahsoka said, I'm no >> I am no Jedi. >> But in the Mandalorian season 2 episode that episode the Jedi. And in the marketing for Ahsoka season 1, they gave
[18:19] hopefully by the end of the season, it's just going to firmly answer the question. And I kind of hope it's no. We see Sabain's flamethrower mount on her these temple droids. And then in the space battle where we see these TIE
[18:32] does not seem to be datamir. It has a green atmosphere. We also see this green planet in the shot of the E-wings and the ghost following a B-wing as they minute 27 seconds. So yeah, again, Thrawon's open warfare on the New
[18:46] Republic will make progress as he goes from planet to planet. Or onto my theory. The final title places Ahsoka above the planet of Datamir where he can happening [clears throat] lighting up on the surface. Could the green atmosphere
[19:00] planet we see actually be datamir after the nightister resurrection is fully in effect planetwide? Will the great mothers use their magic to fully revitalize the planet and restore it as a land of natural wonder where we're
[19:12] going to see these gnarly teeth night sisters with their tusks riding design came from? because she was one of the nights sisters of Datamir who would the book of Boba Fett. It >> is said that the witches of Dothamir
