This video is a comprehensive guide to artifacts in Genshin Impact, covering their rarity, enhancement mechanics, stats, set bonuses, and acquisition methods. It provides detailed tables and tips for optimizing artifact usage.
Artifacts are the main source of stat increases without leveling characters. Builds depend on available artifacts.
Artifacts range from 1 to 5 stars. Enhancement XP is fixed per rarity: 1-star=420, 2-star=840, 3-star=1260, 4-star=2520, 5-star=3780. Mora cost equals XP amount.
Each rarity has a max enhancement level: 1-2 stars cap at level 4, 3 stars at 12, 4 stars at 16, 5 stars at 20.
Artifacts have one main stat and substats based on rarity: 1-star=0, 2-star=0-1, 3-star=1-2, 4-star=2-3, 5-star=3-4. Every 4 enhancement levels adds a random substat up to 4 total; if full, one existing substat is upgraded.
A substat cannot be the same as the main stat (e.g., attack% main stat cannot have attack% substat, but can have flat attack).
Five types: Flower (HP only), Plume (flat ATK only), Sands (HP%, DEF%, ATK%, EM, or Energy Recharge), Goblet (HP%, DEF%, ATK%, EM, Elemental DMG%, Physical DMG%), Circlet (HP%, DEF%, ATK%, EM, Crit Rate%, Crit DMG%, Healing Bonus%).
Artifacts belong to sets; bonuses activate with 2 or 4 pieces (1 piece for special sets). There are 29 sets, 4 are one-piece. Link to wiki provided.
Methods: bosses, elite bosses, domains, chests, Spiral Abyss, Adventure Rank rewards, Adventurer Handbook. Domains and elite bosses require resin.
Avoid artifact farming before Adventure Rank 40; optimal at AR 45 for 5-star drops. Don't force set bonuses early; stats matter more. Destroy artifacts for Mora when needed.
Understanding artifact mechanics is crucial for optimizing character builds in Genshin Impact. Prioritize farming at higher Adventure Ranks and focus on stats over set bonuses early on.

05:24[00:03] be the main source of stat increase the game without having to level the characters themselves the builds you want to go for will be dependent on the artifacts you have available to you and
[00:16] because of that they are an important thing to be mindful of when upgrading your characters all artifacts range from one star Rarity to Five Star Rarity with five being the rarest and most powerful keep in mind that the Rarity of the
[00:29] drops from Elite bosses and domains are dependent on your World level unlike weapons which can be enhanced using other weapons and enhancement ores other artifacts the XP gain from enhancing is
[00:44] a set number depending on the Rarity no matter what the base stats are as long matter what the base stats are as long as it's level zero one star equals 420 as it's level zero one star equals 420 XP two stars 840 XP three stars 1,260 XP
[00:58] XP two stars 840 XP three stars 1,260 XP four stars 25 520 XP and five stars 3780 XP the amount of Mo that's required is the exact same as the amount of XP that will be put in so for example using a onear artifact will cost 420 MOA
[01:15] because 420 XP will be put into the enhancement each Rarity also has an enhancement level cap so one and two stars will be capped at level four three stars at level 12 four stars at level 16 and five stars at level 20 every
[01:32] artifact comes with one main stat and at least one substat if the artifact is a two star or higher the Rarity also determines the base number of substats one star gives you zero substats two stars give you between zero
[01:46] and one substats three stars give you between 1 and two substats four star gives you between two and three substats and five star gives you between three and four substats additionally for every four
[01:59] enhancement l s the artifact receives a random substat up to a maximum of four substats if the artifact already has four substats you will gain an upgrade to one of the artifact's existing stats instead it's important to note that an
[02:14] artifact substat cannot be the same as its main stat so for example if my headpiece here has an attack percentage main stat the substat cannot be attack percentage as well but it can have flat attack
[02:27] instead and artifacts make stat depends on its typee there are five artifact types in the game Flower of Life plume of death sense of eon Goblet of ionium
[02:40] and ciret of logos to make things a little easier to understand I'll refer goblet and headpiece let's start with the flower this artifact's main stat is HP only so you will not find any other main stat on
[02:56] this artifact the feather like the flower also has one main stat which is flat attack the next three are a bit more varied though and the kind of substat that they will have is completely random all three will have a
[03:10] chance to have HP percent defense percent attack percent and Elemental Mastery however there are unique main stats energy recharge is only available
[03:22] on the time piece Elemental damage bonus percent and physical damage bonus percent are only available on the goblet and crit rate percent crit damage percent and healing bonus percent are only available on the headpiece while
[03:36] these are unique for the artifacts main stats the substats can be almost any of these except for physical damage bonus percent Elemental damage bonus percent and healing bonus percent but the substats also have a chance of being
[03:49] substats also have a chance of being flat attack flat defense and flat HP every artifact is also part of a set with each set providing different bonus stats depending on what set it is is and how many artifacts of the same set are
[04:02] currently equipped there are currently 29 different sets in the game four of which are one piece sets now I won't name out every set in the game in this video as it'll take too long but I will leave a link to the wiki down in the
[04:16] description so you can check them out yourself the set bonuses are only activated when two or four of a set's artifacts are equipped with the exception of the one piece sets which only requires that one single artif
[04:29] effect to be equipped for the bonuses to kick in however these one piece sets are only available as fourstar headpieces at least for now you can obtain artifacts through a number of methods killing bosses and
[04:44] Elite bosses clearing domains opening treasure chests clearing spiral Abyss Chambers for the first time raising your adventure Rank and collecting rewards from the adventurer
[04:58] Adventurer handbook you can find a list of elite bosses and domains in your adventurer's handbook but keep in mind though that these require resin to collect rewards
[05:12] and to refill your resin you will need to spend Primal gems use fragile resin or wait for it to recharge so a couple of tips I want to share before we end the video number one avoid farming artifacts and domains at
[05:24] early Adventure ranks as you will be limited to mostly three stars with a very low of getting a fourstar I would recommend to only start farming at at least Adventure rank 40 the most optimal method right now is farming at Advent
[05:38] rank 45 since you'll have a much higher chance of getting a five-star artifact every time the artifacts you get while exploring and doing quests will most likely be enough in the early to mid game and with some carrying your party
[05:53] game and with some carrying your party until late game number two don't be afraid to have no set bonuses at least early on since the stats on two different artifacts can be better than an activated set bonus of two worse but
[06:06] artifacts number three if you're ever stuck for Moa you can always destroy artifacts by clicking this bin icon on the bottom left and selecting the artifact as XP contribution will be converted to more
[06:21] instead that's it for the video guys I hope you all learned a little something from it and if you did be sure to slap that like button and smack the Subscribe button and ring the bell leave a comment if I missed anything or if you just want
[06:33] to share your genin impact experience I personally have been having a ton of fun with it I just can't get enough man like this game has consumed me anyway watch out for more videos and guyss in the future my name is zos I'll see you guys
[06:47] future my name is zos I'll see you guys later bye
