Angus Reid Forum Review: Pros, Cons & Payment Proof — Full Breakdown & Transcript

[00:00] Angus Reid Forum is not a typical survey site.  It runs more like an opinion research panel,   which makes the whole experience quite different  from most other service sites. In this video,   I'll go over exactly what to expect, the pros and  the cons, and I will also be withdrawing $25 live,

Personally,   I actually really like that way of taking surveys.  And on top of that, you'll actually get 200 bonus  

[01:12] points if you do this. And they will only use the  phone number to send text messages when surveys   are ready. And you don't have to do that. It's  something you can choose. So, just wanted to make   that clear. You can also just choose to just give  your email address and then get started that way.  

[01:25] So, let me now log in and then we'll take a closer  look at what it offers. So, when you sign up,   you go through a welcome journey and it's  actually quite fast and the profile questions   that you need to fill out. It doesn't take long.  There some survey sites and I've tested hundreds  

[01:40] of them and if you have tested different survey sites, I'm sure you have tried some where it just   takes like half an hour to fill out a profile or  something like that. That's not the case here. So,   I do like that. But a very good idea to definitely  make sure to fill out all the questions honestly  

[01:53] because that means that usually there are less  screen outs then and it's easier for them to   match the right surveys with you. And when you're  inside you can see the surveys as mentioned you   can also use your phone number so you will also  get them via phone if it is. But other than that  

[02:07] you can scroll down and you can see the different  surveys. You can see the estimated length and the   amount of points you will get. We'll get to the  value of the points a little bit later but can   just quickly say that for example this one 5  minutes $1. So quite high paying compared to  

[02:20] regular surveys. But the survey topics here  are usually also quite different because the   surveys in general contribute to understanding  public opinion on ,for example, politics, culture   or consumer topics. So it's not the same surveys  you find on many other platforms. So the responses  

[02:37] are actually used in studies for example that  can inform media, businesses and policy makers.   So this makes it quite different. Your data is not  just ending up in a data pool. It's actually used   for real feedback. And personally, I really  like that because it can be a great way to share  

[02:52] your opinion. But that also means that they don't  have this huge poll of surveys that some surveys   have, but the ones that they have here are  some that you cannot find on other platforms.   And the whole survey experience is also quite  different. You can see it is more like a chat.  

[03:08] And I personally actually really like this  way of taking surveys. I haven't done that   many other places. So you see here the way it's  displayed and it's of course works really well on   phones. That's also what I mentioned earlier that  that actually gives the best user experience. So  

[03:22] just wanted to quickly show you an example because  it looks quite different than most other surveys.   But because the surveys are so different also  just keep in mind that there's not like hundreds   of surveys available or something like that. You  are guaranteed as a member at least one per month,  

[03:38] but many get more and often you can even get one  per week or some even more. And I've also been   told because I asked them about this that  the availability will also increase as the   panel grows. And overall also you should expect  that it's more targeted invite. So it's not like  

[03:54] this constant volume where you just see like an  overwhelming number of irrelevant surveys for   you. So it's more targeted. But that does not mean  that you will necessarily qualify for all surveys.   Sometimes there will still be disqualifications.  So just keep that in mind. But overall, in my  

[04:09] opinion, there is less noise here. And if you're  interested in contributing in real research,   then it definitely is great. And I really also  like that the surveys are relatively short and   mobile friendly and just overall quite engaging  as you could see. But we'll talk a little bit more  

[04:24] about the overall earning potential later. Just  keep in mind also they do have fraud detection.   So if you try to use a bot or just rush through  the answers, it will be filtered. So make sure you   actually give honest answers here. And in addition  to the surveys, they also sometimes have regular  

[04:40] points boosts and what they call like an ongoing  surprise and delight program. So that will help   you earn more also and meets the payout threshold.  But we'll talk a little bit more about the full   earning potential in just a bit. [05:10] need to review it and approve it also. So just  keep that in mind. And the rewards available. You   can see these are the many different gift cards  and it also offers Visa and some more gift   cards down here. It's sorted in categories. And  as you can also see here, it's only actually cards  

[05:26] that are relevant for the US because it's also  called Angus Reid USA. So it is actually only for   the US. So just wanted to make that clear. But let  me just choose here Visa here and then go through  

[05:39] the redemption process. You can see I just need  to click it there and then proceed to check out.   And then it just asks again. It shows the  full overview. You have this many points.   You will be using this. This is what you have  left and are you sure and then place order

[06:11] what you can expect. So overall, it can take some  time to reach a payout threshold because it's   $25, but in my opinion, it's really great with  some different surveys and the surveys are very  

[06:23] user-friendly and it's not just the same surveys as you can find anywhere else. And I personally   really like this. I find them interesting and if  you really like contributing with your opinion,   then that can definitely be great for that  because you can see that your opinion actually  

[06:38] matters when you share them through these surveys  there. And the surveys also do pay quite well.   You could see some examples of it there. And  some surveys even can pay up to 500 points,   meaning $5 for one survey. And also, as  a new member, you can get a really good  

[06:51] start through the onboarding. For example,  there's this welcome journey as mentioned,   then that will earn you 400 points. That's $4.  And then if you opt in to the SMS, then that   adds another 200 points. So then you're already  25% of the way towards your first redemption  

[07:05] right after signing up, basically.
