ARCANE: The Good, The Bad & The Jinx

[00:24] and two seasons the animated Megalodon from Netflix has finally to include it like many people Arcane is one of my favorite shows to come out in the last few years and a big surprise at the same time when this show was announced in

[00:38] time when this show was announced in 2019 my dumbass ignorant 2019 self was like I don't care about League of Legends bro yes you do you just don't know it yet I've never played the game and I don't know that much about it but

[00:51] Arcane the show completely shook my world man I never expected this show to be this good I remember watching the first two episodes at my place with Bruno the commander and Amanda the Jedi and Midway through episode two we were

[01:05] looking at each other like wait why does this slap so hard and bro we didn't even know what we were talking about yet because we hadn't seen episode 3 we hadn't yet been hit with the ultimate emotional Devastation that was the end

[01:21] of episode 3 I've been in therapy ever since but this was wild and that was the moment where everybody realized oh this show is not just good this show is serious this show is not around we all got slapped in the face by

[01:37] season one even if you were already a fan of League of Legends and you were excited about that show be honest even you didn't expect it to be the absolute Master Class it ended up being I'm also a sucker for steampunk a genre that is

[01:51] far too underrepresented in mainstream media and finally finally I had something to inject right into my face Arcane season 1 is pretty much a perfect

[02:03] season of TV on every level it has one of the most compelling stories to be on TV in years some of the best written characters I've seen in years and the characters I've seen in years and the visuals oh my God the visuals the EV

[02:24] spread night when you died my firly what could I have said to raise you from the dead oh could I be the sky on the

[02:40] the dead oh could I be the sky on the 4th of why do you cry tell me what did you learn from the

[02:55] cry tell me what did you learn from the till mukb bur or the 4th of July all it is a constantly evolving piece of art a colorful Love Letter to so many

[03:10] art styles blended into one perfect visual identity that is unlike anything visual identity that is unlike anything I've seen before every single shot in this show could be framed from the Landscapes the character designs and the

[03:25] action sequences it has an intensity to its movements that is unmatched the characters are expressive in ways that feel so real everything is perfect to support the story and the elements that make its heart and the Heart of the

[03:40] make its heart and the Heart of the story is of course the sisters by the fierce anti-hero who has been shaped by grief and Jinx the lost soul who made one terrible mistake that defined her entire life two sides of the same coin

[03:57] destined to end together we just don't know if that end will come with them as allies or as mortal enemies the plot of season 1 revolves mostly around the conflict between Vai and Jinx which is

[04:10] the more intimate part of the show and around the gigantic divide between Zan and piltover two opposed parts of a giant City one being the beautiful Utopia and the other being the crime-filled underworld where life is

[04:25] unfair this second conflict builds the larger political aspect of the story that leads to devastating consequences when two ambitious scientists discover hextec a form of magic that they learn to blend with technology all of it plays

[04:40] out in intensely meticulous ways which leads to a horrifying conclusion that merges the two main stories and gives us one of the best TV Cliffhangers of all time when Jinx decide to let go of her past and shoots a hexte Charged bazooka

[04:58] past and shoots a hexte Charged bazooka at the Govern M of pilt over bro that ending was crazy after a perfect 10 out of 10 season 1 we immediately knew the wait for season 2 was going to be long I didn't think it would take 3

[05:12] years but hey hey I get it you can't rush perfection animation takes a lot of time especially when it looks as good as this but the entire time we waited the question remained could season 2 possibly live up to the hype would they

[05:26] be able to make something as good and emot Ally impactful as season 1 can they pull off a second run that's a lot of pressure when you raise the bar this high from the get-go and the question got even heavier when it was announced

[05:42] that season 2 would be the final season of Arcane oh now the stakes just got higher it's not only about them pulling off a second impeccable season pulling off a second impeccable season of TV now the question becomes can they

[05:56] stick The Landing can they end this show as well well as they started it yes they can but not without some bumps so Arcane season 2 picks up literally right after the final shot of season 1 we get to see

[06:14] the repercussions of jinx's bazooka attack a lot of the piltover council died only a few remained the consequences of her act are absolutely catastrophic piltover is weakened which allows some Bad actors to conspire to

[06:28] take over the government while they attempt to rebuild it VI is horrified by what her sister has become she finally accepts that Jinx cannot be saved that powder is gone and she decides to join forces with the authorities of piltover

[06:42] to find her and take her down once and for all and meanwhile Victor is awarded a new strange power that turns him into a rapidly evolving God hellbent on

[06:54] making the world perfect no matter the cost Arcane season 2 is is fantastic and cost Arcane season 2 is is fantastic and I mean fan tastic it is an epic powerful emotional final act with complex character arcs for the ages the

[07:10] visuals are somehow even better than season 1 making it one of the best looking TV shows in history yes I said what I said The Vibes are popping the character designs are popping the soundtrack is going so hard for

[07:26] soundtrack is going so hard for no reason Pap BL no reason Pap BL you oh my God bro oh hell no man what the the voice acting is on fire Haley Steinfeld is incredible as Vai

[07:41] Katie Le Young Voices Caitlyn and does an impeccable job honestly everybody deserves praise here but my guy Ella Pernell as Jinx absolutely goated performance for me she is right up there with Kevin Conroy as

[07:57] Batman or great Griffin as Prince isula this is easily one of my favorite voice acting performances of all time she's that good also shout out to mck Winger as Heimerdinger I love his work with this character oh the lad may be on to

[08:12] this character oh the lad may be on to something every action Sparks a reaction oh ball sockets you get it the season is an absolute artistic tour the force it is just god tier television from beginning to end but it's not perfect

[08:27] we'll get into why in a little bit but first we need to establish the emotional core of the season and there's a lot more of it this time around but as always the heart is with the sisters V's Arc this season is just insanely good I

[08:42] don't even have the words her emotional storyline is a roller coaster this season the pain the loss the grief the hope the broken hope the rage like her story is a Melting Pot of emotions

[08:57] slowly deconstructing a person to rebuild her even stronger and boy does it come with challenges watching VI completely give up on her involvement in pilt over to return to Z dye her hair black and making herself black out every

[09:12] night it's just so fascinating for her character VI is someone who always has a desire to fight usually to stand up for what she believes to be right that's just how she is but her sister is a lost cause and the woman she loves turned on

[09:27] her because she was corrupted by vengeance in her eyes VI has nothing left to fight for so instead she starts fighting in underground fights in the depths of Zan Vai needs to fight so if she has nothing to fight for she will

[09:42] find a way to fight with no point or rather she fights to get drinking money so that she can black out and do the same thing the next day she's consumed by grief she has lost everyone she's ever loved and she feels completely lost

[09:55] the people in her life have either died or they've been completely Changed by darker parts of themselves rendering them completely unrecognizable she has risked everything to save the few people she had left and it was all for nothing

[10:10] and that of course reflects the Arc of jinx jinx has a very complex and interesting character Theme this season about her internal struggle with the fact that she has become a symbol of resistance in Z after the events of

[10:24] season 1 the population of zon see her as a savior and they look up to to her but Jinx hates it because she doesn't believe in herself and she doesn't think she's someone who should be looked up to she doesn't care to save lives and she

[10:37] doesn't care to have power Jinx has a nature that's very nihilistic she doesn't really care about anything she doesn't really stand for anything life has no meaning to her everything that reattaches her to her Humanity are

[10:49] things that relate to powder so her love for her family and the pain of losing loved ones she killed the only person she truly believed cared about her at the end of last season RP silco and now she only has VI that's why in the

[11:03] beginning of the Season she decides she has to kill VI because she wants to get rid of that final attachment she loves Vai so if VI dies then Jinx has nothing connecting her to powder anymore and she can carry on living an empty life with

[11:17] no goal because she just wants to be left alone in other words she doesn't have to believe in anything if she has nothing and that's it that's her grand nothing and that's it that's her grand plan finding a path to Nile M she wants

[11:30] to get to a point where nothing matters but that all comes to a halt when she but that all comes to a halt when she crosses paths with Isa Isa is a mute little girl from Zan who grew up in misery and doesn't seem to have anyone

[11:42] she accidentally crashes on Jinx on a random day while trying to escape a bunch of gangsters trying to catch her Jinx doesn't fully understand what is those guys cornering her and the little girl so she kills all of them no

[11:56] girl so she kills all of them no questions asked after that happens Isa obviously sees jinx as her Savior and decides not to

[12:10] leave her side so Jinx reluctantly becomes this little girl's caretaker but she also learns to love her very deeply Because deep down despite what she tells herself that's all Jinx really wants a family that loves her she lost her

[12:25] family as a child because of her own mistake she lost a second when she killed silco due to a misunderstanding and now she has Isa something that makes her life worth living but it's dangerous for Jinx to take care of Isa because

[12:40] she's the most Wanted individual in all of pil over she has a planet siiz Target on her back and eventually VI and Caitlyn catch up to her they find her

[12:52] and they intend to end her the fight between Jinx and Vai in episode 3 is so epic and its Stakes are made even higher by the fact that this time they're both trying to actually kill each other and when VI gets the upper hand and puts

[13:07] when VI gets the upper hand and puts Jinx at her mercy Jinx simply tells her go on I'm ready I'm glad it's ready I'm glad it's you had to be you this is a big theme of

[13:21] jinx this season her completely losing her will to live but still wanting her death to have significance it leads to a genuinely heartbreaking scene towards the end of the season where she actually tries to commit suicide several times

[13:34] but Ekko won't let her jinx's story gets really dark this season her mental health has always been a big part of her character but this season is really the part where you see her at rock bottom and as you can probably imagine this

[13:47] whole General theme of family Bonds in season 2 leads to emotional moments that absolutely wrecks your nervous system the whole plot around Warwick being revealed to be a genetically modified Abomination created from vander's dying

[14:03] Abomination created from vander's dying body bro why would you do this to me and then Jinx goes to find VI to try and save him because he attacked her but somehow remembered [Music]

[14:24] remembering her too what are you waiting for kill myself this got me so in my feels I finish this episode and spend

[14:38] corner of my room listening to Mad World every emotional beat in this season comes at you at full strength and it is just so well done every time that I

[14:50] genuinely started to be scared to see what the ending was going to be and this is just a sign of how in tune the people behind the show are with the characters their arcs and and the story in general they know these characters fundamentally

[15:02] and understand how their story should progress and if you are attached to these characters these moments feel all too real you can tell the creators of the show had been planning this for a really long time they know this story

[15:16] inside and out for context for anyone who doesn't know from our perspective Arcane has only been around for 3 years it came out in 2021 but for the creators and showrunners Christian link and Alex e it's been much longer they've been

[15:31] e it's been much longer they've been working on Arcane for 9 years it's almost been a full decade for them if you didn't know it took 6 years to make you didn't know it took 6 years to make season 1 it came out in 2021 but they

[15:44] started working on it in 2015 do you even remember what you were doing in 2015 that's a long time ago okay so I'm singing the show's Praises because it deserves it and yet I said it's not perfect why is that despite all

[15:58] of its qualities I think Arcane season 2 has one fundamental issue that leads to a bunch of smaller issues directly tied to it I have one real problem with this

[16:10] season a problem that a lot of people have already voiced online over the last couple weeks and I fully Echo that sentiment the story of season 2 while sentiment the story of season 2 while absolutely spectacular is way too rush

[16:23] the pacing of this season is strikingly fast the show is fly flying through its plot at light speed to the point where the story doesn't really have time to breathe at points and it's very hard not to notice that consistently especially

[16:39] because this season has a lot of characters who are all playing an integral part in all the intricate little moving pieces of the story there is so much setup so much World building so much lore to keep track of so many

[16:54] individual character arcs being built up and also coming to an and this season desperately needed time to make happen in a stable way and unfortunately it kind of fails at taking its time and some crucial storylines kind of suffer

[17:11] as a result with some character development being accelerated in ways that feel a bit bumpy to make it clearer Arcane season 2's greatest flaw is that it feels like two seasons of TV being condensed into one and while it somehow

[17:27] still manages to B balance its story lines impressively well you do feel it having to rush through a lot of it and it's kind of jarring at times that said have issues and we're going to get to that this season is still one of the

[17:42] that this season is still one of the most insane animated series of all time like Arcane at its weakest is still leagues ahead of the majority of current television it is still an easy top five when it comes to Animated Series so no

[17:57] season 2 was not perfect but it was still an absolutely Stellar genre defining season of Television that left me with my therapist on speed dial the season was released in three acts three batches of Three episodes each and act

[18:12] one is spaced fairly well it feels like it's moving very fast especially starting in episode 2 but it's nothing that made me frown it's really in act two that the speed rail storytelling becomes a bit problematic once we get to

[18:25] the Warwick stuff and Jinx breaking the population of Z out of prison The Show Goes Super Saiyan and it will not slow down for even a second till the very end and act three of the season the final three episodes of the show could

[18:41] have been an entire season on their own because so much happens in such little because so much happens in such little time and it's going way too fast like way too fast the important stuff still hits it's there and it works but there

[18:57] are so many incred story lines that don't get enough time to be fully fleshed out or to play out in a way that feels a bit more natural and while it doesn't ruin them per se they're still fantastic stories you do feel the show

[19:11] having no choice but to blast through them as quickly as possible Eko storyline in the alternate timeline where VI died and the world is much more where VI died and the world is much more stable is incredibly interesting his

[19:23] bond with alternate Jinx developing into an impossible romance was really compelling but it feels kind of cut short so fast because we don't really have time for it they fixed the Multiverse traveling issue in like 2

[19:36] seconds it happened so quickly that the stakes didn't feel as big as they should have been I wanted more of this I loved the concept behind this I love that experiencing this alternate reality is what convinced Ekko that Jinx has good

[19:51] in her and that she can still be helped and believed in I love their dance scene so much their entire night out together together is like the perfect contrast to their epic fight from season 1 a contrast that confirms to Echo that

[20:05] the feeling he had in season 1 when he hesitated to finish her off was not out of nowhere because in season 1 he gets the upper hand on Jinx but then he freezes because he can see in her eyes that she's scared Jinx is a crazy maniac

[20:20] with crazy weapons and she likes to kill a whole lot but a lot of this Persona is also a front that she uses as a defense mechanism and from season 1 Ekko was the only person who could see right through it aside maybe from Silko so the fact

[20:35] that Ekko gets to see who powder could have been in his world if things hadn't gone so wrong and that he even develops romantic feelings for her oh like that storyline is so full of massive implications for both of these

[20:49] characters I wish we had been able to spend more time in that space Mel storyline is probably the one that suffers the most from the speed rail pace of the season while it is really interesting and introduces some larger

[21:01] World building it is done so quickly and in a way that feels so Half Baked that it rendered it the only storyline of the entire show I struggled to get invested in it's too fast like she's kidnapped by the Black Rose within one episode she

[21:15] realizes it's a trick she finds a way to break it the Black Rose reveals the truth to her she gets a very quickly glossed over Exposition dump on her power and blasts everything and now she's basically the Scarlet Witch it

[21:28] happens so fast it's not that I'm not invested in the character of Mel Marda I love the character but her storyline feels underdeveloped and it's missing a lot of context because there just isn't time for it really I assume her story is

[21:44] going to be continued in a spin-off if so we can sort of see Arcane as her origin story but I still wish that at the end of this show Mel's Arc felt a bit more complete we watched the characters get ready for the final

[21:57] battle which had so much tension but then there's this awkward cut and we're suddenly just in the middle of the fight it felt like I had skipped half of an episode it wasn't the most jarring thing in the world but it's just a very clear

[22:11] they just didn't have time like so much buildup for a jump cut was a little weird Victor shift from wanting to use his Godlike powers to help people to wanting to merge every mind in the world

[22:24] into one to create a perfect world essentially taking away the very con concept of Free Will happens in the flick of a switch and that was also jarring to me for a character whose psyche and ideals took such a long time

[22:38] to slowly morph and evolve into the point he was getting to his Sudden Change in ideals and morals being brought by a 15-second voiceover was brought by a 15-second voiceover was just bizarre it happens way too fast and

[22:51] while I do love where it goes narratively speaking it feels like hitting a wall and carrying on in a completely different Direction it comes across very disingenuous for Victor to abandon Humanity this abruptly getting

[23:05] him there 100% required more time to be fully cooked Caitlyn has one of the most compelling character arcs this season and I was very invested in it that's why I felt a little annoyed when she also did a complete behavioral 180 off screen

[23:20] essentially resolving her inner conflict in a nanc I love the idea that someone is good-hearted and well-intentioned as Caitlyn can find herself be completely consumed by Vengeance to the point where she becomes a tyrant in her own right

[23:34] it's very emotional to watch her be entirely controlled by her own anger after losing her mother to a terrorist attack by Jinx and it's incredibly emotional to see that her morals are fundamentally clouded by her desire to

[23:48] kill Jinx the fact that she willingly takes the risk to kill an innocent child just to get to jinx very clearly shows how far she's gone she essentially turned turns into everything she stands against and I knew she wouldn't stay

[24:02] like that I knew she would go back to being one of the good guys at least I hop so and it makes perfect sense to me that her love for Vi is what grounds her in the end and brings her back because they were headed on a path where they

[24:14] likely would have had to fight each other but the fact that it happened in a other but the fact that it happened in a blink and off screen bothers me a lot the fact that she randomly stumbles upon VI right before a attacking Victor's

[24:29] Village and that they had a quick talk that made her switch sides just like that that was one big emotional point of the story that felt way too rushed and I was a tiny bit disappointed by that and like I said on paper all of these are

[24:41] plot lines I very much enjoyed and that felt like a logic progression of the story and its overall themes so it's not that the show is ruined by being rushed I've seen people say online that this season sucks because it's rush but I

[24:54] wholeheartedly disagree all of those story lines are fantastic and even with the insane pacing the show does an impressively good job at balancing everything for the most part it feels rushed but not like Game of Thrones

[25:08] rushed where all sense of logic or basic characterization is thrown out the window and everybody becomes completely stupid and all the core themes of the story are abandoned for the sake of spectacle no it feels rushed as a great

[25:22] story with Incredible character moments that needed some breathing room to fully reach its potential but that unfortunately was not given that chance but mostly it's character deaths that really take a hit in terms of impact due

[25:35] to lack of time people die in season 2 some very important characters but we never really have the time to have the characters discuss it or deal with it because too many other things need to be happening like now all of their deaths

[25:50] are incredibly emotional and impactful they all go out in ways that bring their arcs to a perfect close but then the show doesn't really have the opportunity to acknowledge it so there is no aftermath in this season when a

[26:03] character dies after their death scene they're never mentioned again Isha dies at the end of act two and all I wanted when this happened was for someone to end my suffering because that was really sad the scene itself is beautiful

[26:17] really sad the scene itself is beautiful and heartbreaking and then Isa is never mentioned again not once we see that her death has made Jinx completely lose her will to live but that sort of moved on from within the first 15 minutes of The

[26:29] Following episode isa's death is never acknowledged after the scene where she dies Professor heimerdinger's death while impactful to me because I like the while impactful to me because I like the character felt kind of anticlimactic and

[26:42] again because the show has to immediately move on it's never brought don't think any of the characters find out that Heimerdinger is actually dead he just kind of dies and that's it

[26:55] jinx's death should have had a much bigger impact on both VI and Caitlyn at the end of the show but we don't have time for it and yes we all know it's probably the worst kept secret in the world right now Jinx isn't actually dead

[27:08] we will see her again but at the time of it happening Vice should be at the end of her robe Jinx was everything she truly fought for I was hoping to see more of an aftermath to the fact that she had to watch her die and that she

[27:22] she had to watch her die and that she died to save her life but again Jinx is never mentioned after the scene where she dies neither are Victor and Jace the final battle essentially ends and then we have like 5 minutes to wrap

[27:34] everything up and roll credits so no time sorry you get the point there is a lot about this season that would have greatly benefited from having more time and moving at a slower Pace that said all of those story lines are still great

[27:47] and concluded in emotionally impactful ways and look the creators address the criticism over the rush story this season and they seem very open to it saying and they're going to learn from it in future projects and honestly I'll

[28:01] take it I probably wouldn't take it if the season had sucked as a result but it bent over backwards to make sure they could make the best story possible and story in large majority so I'll cut them some slack they still suck the landing

[28:18] and speaking of sticking the landing let's talk about the finale the finale of Arcane was terrible I'm kidding the finale is amazing unsurprisingly I completely lost my watching it the buildup to this final

[28:32] episode was very strong and the payoff was incredible it's such a cool feeling to be surprised by an ending but also being convinced that this outcome was completely inevitable and the emotional moments we get out of it are just so

[28:46] powerful that it makes everything come together wonderfully the entire final battle of the show is some of the most epic ever put on TV I haven't felt this excited watching a moment in television in a really long time this is

[29:02] what a climax should be this is what an epic conclusion looks like

[29:50] this is the most incredible thing I've up to damn it Jinx making a final choice not to succumb to her own nihilism deciding not to give up on Vai and understanding that she can only be strong for Vai by not giving up on

[30:04] herself and her finally accepting her role as a symbol of resistance to bring role as a symbol of resistance to bring all of Zan to fight in pilt over Peak storytelling my guy seeing Jinx and Vai finally fight side by side again being

[30:17] on the same page for the first time since they were kids being united as sisters to take on the biggest thread they've ever faced you can't not feel emotional watching that it was just perfectly executed and if you know me

[30:32] you know I have a real obsession with cool entrance scenes and jinx's entrance with echo in the Battle of piltover probably just made my top

[30:53] fighting Mel and Caitlyn at the same time and absolutely wiping the floor with them was just insane her fighting style is diabolical this woman

[31:05] is so scary she's brutal and Relentless you almost feel scared when you watch her fight she has no fears and she seems like she has just infinite stamina she's going against Caitlyn who is a very skilled fighter and Mel who

[31:19] just found out she basically has the powers of a God and they still can't keep up with ambessa she's just too strong

[31:56] sacrifice her eye to give Melly Split Second to surprise her mother that's the only reason they managed to beat her I also really like that ambessa dies in Mel's arms despite how evil and cruel she is the show does a really good job

[32:10] at showing throughout the story that she really does love her daughter most of the layers awarded to essa's character come from her love for her daughter so having her die in Mel's arms and have her last words be an acknowledgement of

[32:23] tragically beautiful but but then we got to move on immediately so that's kind of glossed over Echo sequence at the end of the over Echo sequence at the end of the battle had me jumping around like a kid

[32:37] this was so gangster I rewatched it like seven times as someone Legends I had no idea that ekko's signature power in the game is the

[32:49] ability to go back in time a few seconds and honestly as a way to pay homage to the character in League I cannot think of a cooler way in which they could have of a cooler way in which they could have executed

[33:10] of this Scene goes so hard from now on when I have to think of a character that truly had a golden moment to shine this scene will pop into my head immediately the final reveal that Victor from the future has been the key to everything

[33:25] purposefully caused all of the events of the story to happen just so that Jace can get to this specific point and stop him because in almost every other Universe he fails to realize the errors of his ways and destroys the world again

[33:41] Peak storytelling I love the bond between jaay and Victor it is so profoundly compelling and I absolutely adore that the end of this conflict comes down to them Jinx and Vai are the

[33:54] heart and soul of this show for the most part but their relationship has a very intimate nature it was never a part of the grandio scale of the story Jason Victor's relationship though absolutely was they were the ones who discovered

[34:07] the Arcane and hextech and exploited it to change the world it makes complete sense that the scope of this Final Act comes down to them I love that they decide to go out together on their own terms to save the world which is what

[34:20] you could consider to be the completion of their work I love that future Victor knew the only person who could get him to listen was Jace and that he needed Jace to be his voice of reason because according to the Creator himself at the

[34:35] height of his power the only person who could defeat Victor was Victor himself and he tried to fix it several times throughout several timelines by giving

[34:47] Jace a different runstone every time in the hopes that it would change the future which you can see in the very first episode of the show when the mystery man saves Jace as a kid when future Victor hands him the acceleration

[35:00] Rune he has a bunch of other ones wrapped around his wrist meaning this was probably not his first attempt and it's only with the acceleration Rune that his plan finally works because the acceleration Rune is what later allows

[35:14] Ekko to create his time turning device which becomes integral in winning the war against Victor because it's a device that was created in Another Universe and that therefore Victor could not have planned for

[35:27] planned for [Applause] [Applause] that device can't be proo the amount of details in this story man I love that jaay decides not to give up on his

[35:41] friend despite his fear of what he could do it's all just so beautiful I've seen some debate online on whether Jay and Victor's relationship is more fraternal or romantic apparently a lot of people read this as them being in love the

[35:54] their relationship as romantic but he also doesn't seem to mind at all that people see it that way and I kind of agree with that it doesn't not make under that lens whether they are romantic or platonic really does not

[36:08] change how amazing this story is two people fundamentally bonded and opposed by the fate of the universe in an impossible challenge that reflects the scale of their ambition what a brilliant story that

[36:50] okay I get it she desperately wanted Vander to still be in there I see it okay for me this scene works for all of the compx emotional implications though the fact that Jinx gets to give one last hug to what is left of their father made

[37:03] me tear up that was so emotionally relevant to her character the fact that her final shots are intercut with a flashback of vendor checking in on her when she was asleep during her childhood confirming that she still holds on to

[37:17] her memories as spouter oh my heart she got to be reunited with her sister and got to have one last moment to go out with Vander knowing that V would be safe all while dying as she fought as the symbol of Freedom she had reluctantly

[37:33] become for zong perfect ending to her storyline could not have wished better for this character the fact that in the end Vai did get her sister back and did manage to save her in spirit but couldn't save her in life is one of the

[37:47] greatest executions of a bittersweet ending I've ever seen and one of the most compelling completions to a character Arc in any animated show in existence and that applies to almost everyone by the end of the story The

[38:00] Heroes have managed to secure a hopeful future for the world but they also lost so much fighting for that that it doesn't feel like an inherently happy ending most of the characters that survived have nothing left families have

[38:13] been destroyed and ripped apart countless people died Caitlyn and VI they're going to get a spin-off where they find themselves in other regions of the world Mel has to have a continuation and a spin-off I think she Ed that the

[38:28] black roast stuff feels very unfinished she lost her mother she lost her boyfriend although some people are saying that Jason Victor Aren't Dead I don't think that's true I'm pretty sure that was the end for them but who knows

[38:41] we'll see the creator of the show has confirmed that spin-offs are on the way I believe a couple of them have been in the works for over a year already so hopefully we get some news for that in 2025 I mean we better cuz Christian I

[38:53] will show up to your office I don't give a I am very thankful for Arcane I am so happy that this show exists and that it was able to tell the story it wanted to tell to the end we all know that's become quite rare with Netflix

[39:07] please just give 1899 another chance I promise this is so good in a time where a lot of TV shows feel stale and repetitive and uncreative getting a show like this a show that is just purely a Monumental piece of art like we've never

[39:23] quite seen before is incredibly refreshing fantastic memorable characters that will stay with me for a long time a story and lore that is so infinitely compelling and Rich and a visual identity that is so unique and

[39:38] groundbreaking that I have a feeling a lot of animated movies and shows in the future are going to take influence from It For Better or For Worse there might have been some bumps in the road of season 2 but they stuck The Landing

[39:50] which is incredibly rare when it comes to series finales especially when the ending is rushed this is kind of the miracle scenario All Things Considered I ending because they focused mostly on those flaws but man I really do not feel

[40:05] that way this ending to me is a win Arcane is a masterpiece easily one of the best shows of the last decade I am infinitely excited to see what Christian and Alex are going to do next with this universe they themselves have said that
