Chapters
The Russo brothers posted a green image with 'Something's brewing,' tagging Marvel Studios, Avengers, Robert Downey Jr., AGBO Films, and South by Southwest London. Fans decoded the hex code to July 18, 2026, a Saturday before Comic-Con, but Erik thinks the trailer might drop earlier, possibly June 17th.
Empire Magazine photos show Peter Parker fixing Bruce Banner's inhibitor wrist device, and a toy leak reveals anti-gamma webbing, suggesting a fight with the Hulk. A second trailer is expected next week.
Tom Holland suggested 'spider puberty' for evolving powers, and he wants to mentor Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales in future films. Kevin Feige described the movie as a classic Spider-Man story in a sad small apartment.
Erik discusses the final season of The Boys, noting that while the finale tied up storylines, many fans wanted more 'scorched earth' destruction from Homelander. He emphasizes that it's okay to like or dislike the season without being labeled toxic.
Erik recommends watching Spider Noir in color because the villains' power sets are not visible in black and white. He also criticizes the binge-drop format, preferring weekly releases for better cultural conversation.
Erik shares his Dr. Doom backstory theory: a genius scientist and wizard from Latveria who tried to save his universe from incursion but had to make an unthinkable sacrifice. He also discusses the importance of chess imagery for Doom.
Erik answers questions about X-Men '97 season 2, including the appearance of a Kang variant (Rama-Tut) and potential time travel storylines. He also discusses the possibility of a Hellfire Club story in season 3.
Erik explains the channel's strategy for covering shows, aiming for two shows at a time to avoid burnout. Upcoming coverage includes House of the Dragon, X-Men '97, Lanterns, and Vision Quest.

[04:04] Hello, hello, hello. Welcome back to New
[04:06] Rockstars. I'm Eric Voss and it is
[04:08] Friday, May 29th, 2026 and we're doing a
[04:12] live stream office hours here on the New
[04:14] Rockstars channel. This is something
[04:15] that I try to do on Fridays, once a
[04:18] month, uh, every four weeks or so. I'm
[04:20] here to answer your questions. is really
[04:21] the biggest question a lot of you guys
[04:22] have been asking is what the hell are
[04:24] the Russo brothers doing by once again
[04:27] posting these insane social media
[04:29] things. Um what do they mean by this? We
[04:33] found the green. We're going to talk
[04:35] about that on the stream today. We're
[04:37] going to talk about let's see what else
[04:39] we have on the docket here. Some
[04:40] Spider-Man brand new day related news.
[04:43] Um if you guys have questions about
[04:46] X-Men 97 or House of the Dragon, I'll be
[04:49] here to answer those as well. Hit me up
[04:51] in the chat uh with any questions you
[04:53] have from the week of news. Um I want to
[04:56] talk about the boys and some final
[04:58] thoughts we might all have on that
[05:00] season. Um I want to thank you all so
[05:02] much for joining us on the stream. Um
[05:05] all of you in the chat. Let's see who do
[05:08] we have here. Um oh someone from the
[05:11] breakroom channel is joining us. Uh Alex
[05:15] Reyes, good to see you. Uh CS or C.
[05:19] Schultz. Hi. Hi. Hi. Um,
[05:24] Green, hi Zeke. Um, hi. Hello. Hi,
[05:29] everybody. Thank you again for joining
[05:31] us for this live stream. I'm I'm happy
[05:33] to do this to try to answer any
[05:35] questions, to do office hours, to do an
[05:36] AMA, whatever questions you have. Um,
[05:40] uh, say your name, please. Oh, hi Zah
[05:43] Huttle. I don't know who you are. Um,
[05:48] I'm sorry you're tired, that Chief's
[05:49] Cape fan. If you guys um really really
[05:53] really need me to answer your question,
[05:55] super chat's the way to do it. I'll I'll
[05:57] definitely answer every super chat that
[05:59] someone sends because, you know, you're
[06:01] you're spending us you're spending the
[06:02] money for that. So, I'll I'll honor
[06:04] that. But, um, but I'll just also try to
[06:07] answer whatever questions as I can as we
[06:09] go. Uh, let's start by talking about
[06:12] this this Instagram post from the Russo
[06:14] brothers. If you can't see, my face here
[06:16] is covering the caption where they said,
[06:19] "Something's brewing." [ __ ] Films
[06:22] commented on the Russo brothers personal
[06:24] Instagram account with this post that
[06:27] they posted today on Friday, May 27th or
[06:30] May 29th, 2026. Uh there are five tags
[06:34] that they added to this photo uh from
[06:37] Marvel Studios, Avengers, Robert Downey
[06:39] Jr. [ __ ] Films, and South by Southwest
[06:41] London. Um, how's the audio sounding,
[06:44] Brian?
[06:45] >> Yeah, South by Southwest London is
[06:46] something that the Rooster Brothers are
[06:47] going to be at in London all next week,
[06:50] uh, from Monday through Thursday. I
[06:53] think they're going to be doing like 15
[06:55] minutes on Thursday. So, some people are
[06:57] like, "Oh, is that going to be when we
[06:59] get the Doomsday trailer?" Uh, I don't
[07:01] know. A lot of people are looking at
[07:02] this particular shade of green as well,
[07:04] and they're doing something that's
[07:06] called driving the hex code. Hex code is
[07:08] a very specific dig digital color shade
[07:12] of something that like you put in this
[07:14] code and it's what programs a computer
[07:15] screen to bring up this particular shade
[07:17] of green. And I believe the hex code was
[07:19] something like 71826
[07:21] lowercase a which I might be wrong.
[07:24] There's some other people who are
[07:25] getting different uh hex codes out of
[07:27] that. But from that they're saying oh
[07:28] maybe they're saying that that hex code
[07:30] tells us the release date for the
[07:32] trailer. Uh July 18th, 2026 would be the
[07:35] Saturday before San Diego Comic- Con. We
[07:38] were pretty sure Marvel Studios will be
[07:40] with um will be there at San Diego
[07:43] Comic- Con with the Russoa brothers and
[07:44] Robert Downey Jr., but that's going to
[07:46] be the following weekend. So, it'd be
[07:47] weird that they would release a trailer
[07:49] on a Saturday at all. Uh unless it was
[07:52] Comic-Con weekend. Um so, maybe it's the
[07:55] Thursday before that. Some people are
[07:57] saying that we'll get a trailer shown
[07:59] next week. Next week would be awesome.
[08:01] We'd all be grateful for that. Marvel
[08:03] Studios, if you want to just get this on
[08:05] the freaking internet so we can all talk
[08:06] about it together, we wouldn't mind one
[08:09] bit. So maybe it'll be next Thursday. We
[08:11] do think there will be a Spider-Man
[08:13] brand new day, second trailer that comes
[08:15] to the internet next week. Uh Monday or
[08:18] Tuesday or something like that. Uh Sony
[08:20] is doing these um these articles with
[08:25] with Empire that you may have seen. And
[08:27] normally those article releases um
[08:29] coincide with a second trailer.
[08:31] sometimes the first trailer. So, I do
[08:33] think we'll get a Spider-Man trailer
[08:34] next week. If they want to drop a
[08:35] Spider-Man trailer and a Doomsday
[08:36] trailer in the same week, we we'll be
[08:38] eating good. We'll be covering it with
[08:40] live streams with in-depth Easter egg
[08:41] breakdowns here on the New Rockstars
[08:43] channel. Uh I I'm confident that we'll
[08:45] get a Spider-Man trailer next week. I'm
[08:46] not confident that we'll get a Doomsday
[08:48] trailer. I think it'll be something like
[08:50] maybe the week of June 17th because
[08:53] that's going to be right before Toy
[08:54] Story 5. And I do think they're going to
[08:55] want to put that in front uh that
[08:57] trailer playing in front of um
[08:59] screenings of Toy Story 5 because Toy
[09:01] Story 5 is going to be Disney's highest
[09:02] grossing release of the year. I'm
[09:04] including Doomsday in that. I think Toy
[09:05] Story 5 is going to make well over a
[09:08] billion dollars, maybe even approaching
[09:10] $2 billion. Like they're projected to
[09:11] make over two $200 million in their
[09:15] domestic in their opening weekend.
[09:17] That's like major Avengers movie numbers
[09:19] for for Woody and Buzz. So, Disney's
[09:22] going to want to put a trailer for their
[09:24] other huge movie that comes at the end
[09:26] of the year in front of this summer
[09:27] movie. I'm confident of that. I'm going
[09:29] to answer some super chats here. Um,
[09:34] this person, thank you for this super
[09:36] chat asking Armor Wars win. Armor Wars
[09:38] never. I think they've canceled that.
[09:40] Uh, Ryan Hullman saying, "My birthday is
[09:42] the same as Kevin Feige is June 2nd."
[09:44] So, I think either the second Spider-Man
[09:46] trailer or pro possibly the Doomsday
[09:48] trailer will release as his Marvel's
[09:49] gift to us. I don't think Kevin Feige
[09:51] cares about celebrating his own birthday
[09:53] that way. After you cross 30, you stop
[09:56] caring about your own birthday,
[09:57] especially if you're a studio head.
[09:58] However, Tom Holland's birthday, I
[10:00] think, is June 1st. So, that would be
[10:03] Monday, maybe as a birthday gift to Tom
[10:04] Holland. That's when they drop the
[10:06] Spider-Man trailer. Uh, but hey, happy
[10:08] early birthday to you, Ryland Holman,
[10:11] and thank you for your super chat.
[10:14] Um, so, uh, other people asking, could
[10:18] they drop it with Father's Day? Uh,
[10:21] Hannah, I think they're going to drop
[10:22] the Doomsday trailer regardless of
[10:25] Father's Day. I think the Vision Quest
[10:27] trailer could drop around Father's Day
[10:30] because I think that's going to be a
[10:31] show about being a daddy. Um, even
[10:33] though Parenthood seems to be an
[10:35] important theme to Avengers Doomsday, we
[10:38] keep seeing all this news about like
[10:40] kids being cast for Avengers Doomsday.
[10:42] We think uh there was this actress who
[10:44] whose parents put it on her public
[10:46] profile this week, this young English
[10:48] actress who I think I think could be
[10:50] cast as like Dr. Doom's daughter and
[10:52] then she was just her name was young
[10:54] girl on her uh on her resume. So that
[10:57] could mean anything but I think like a
[10:59] variant of Morgan Stark/ Cynthia von
[11:01] Doom or something like that who would be
[11:02] the daughter's name and maybe he loses
[11:04] her and that's what freaks him out. Uh,
[11:06] another super chat from Oh My Lore
[11:08] saying, "I'm worried that Spider-Man:
[11:09] Brand New Day will require Daredevil
[11:10] homework because of Punisher in the
[11:12] Hand. I haven't seen any of the shows.
[11:14] What do you think?" I think you should
[11:16] watch those shows. You have time, my
[11:18] man. Um, I don't think it will require
[11:20] that much Daredevil homework. I honestly
[11:22] think even Punisher um, One Last Kill
[11:24] didn't require Punisher homework. You
[11:26] can just watch a New Rockstars video.
[11:28] We'll have a homework video. We'll have
[11:29] you covered. I do think though you
[11:30] should spend some time to watch those
[11:32] shows. Um or at least watch, you know,
[11:34] Punisher One Last Kill, watch Daredevil
[11:36] Born Again. Uh you can watch during the
[11:39] Disney era. You won't you won't run a
[11:42] foul of anything. Psycho Sweetheart
[11:45] asking, "I was wondering when y'all uh
[11:48] when y'all will talk about the Russo's
[11:49] post." Yeah. Yeah. I got a lot of lot of
[11:52] uh tags today like where's the new
[11:54] Rockstars? Where's the green thumbnail
[11:55] for this? So, you know, we're going to
[11:57] be all over this. Um, we would have done
[12:00] a more proper video about this, but on
[12:02] Monday, we're going to have Jessica's
[12:04] breakdown of the A24 Back Rooms movie.
[12:06] Um, that we're really excited for this
[12:08] weekend. And we might have Spider-Man
[12:09] news. We might have a trailer that day.
[12:10] So, I'm like, I should just do a live
[12:12] stream to just kind of talk about it
[12:13] that way. Um, JCU Eagle asking, "Do you
[12:16] think Marvel would tease anything in
[12:18] Marvel Rivals since they are doing their
[12:20] own Road to Doomsday event?" Yeah, they
[12:22] took the name. Everyone's using the
[12:24] terminology of Road to Doomsday. Um,
[12:28] I don't know. That's a really good
[12:29] question because new CEO of Disney, Josh
[12:32] Tomorrow, is like all about um like
[12:36] integration into the gaming and the the
[12:40] direct to consumer platforms and the
[12:42] merch and and toys and all of that stuff
[12:44] and and Disneyland parks. So, um I I I
[12:48] won't be surprised if we get some like
[12:50] references to Doom and Latvia and other
[12:52] certain things. I mean, at least Marvel
[12:54] Rivals is going to want to make stuff
[12:55] that like is jumping on that excitement
[12:58] train.
[13:00] Um,
[13:03] let's see. Trevor asking, "Do we think
[13:05] X-Men 97 season 2 will time travel back
[13:07] to the OG X-Men TV shows in the '90s?
[13:09] Love you guys. Thanks for giving me a
[13:10] safe space." Hey, thank you, Trevor. Um,
[13:13] yeah, you know, that is kind of a this
[13:15] is going to be a big time travel season.
[13:16] Gina did an an amazing job breaking down
[13:19] this trailer uh for us on the New
[13:22] Rockstar channel. you should go watch
[13:23] that video. She's going to be covering
[13:25] X-Men 97 for us. Um, but yeah, talking
[13:28] about like Apocalypse saying, "I'm going
[13:29] to strike them when they're at their
[13:30] most vulnerable, the 1990s." So, yeah,
[13:33] it's not going to be it's not going to
[13:34] surprise me at all. But we have to
[13:36] remember that like the X-Men we're
[13:38] watching right now on X-Men 97
[13:41] is the X-Men in the '90s still. Like
[13:43] X-Men 97 is set in 1997 and maybe 98
[13:47] now, but like that's still the '9s. So,
[13:49] I think that's what Apocalypse is
[13:50] talking about in this line. Uh, but I do
[13:52] think there could be other storylines.
[13:54] Specifically, there were apocalypse
[13:55] story lines that were set like in 1994
[13:58] or 1995 from I think Beyond Good and
[14:01] Evil. Is that the arc? I think it's a
[14:03] beyond good and evil arc. Um, that uh
[14:06] that Apocalypse in Sodner ties into. So,
[14:08] yeah, maybe we get like, you know, him,
[14:10] Marty McFly, and Back to the Future part
[14:12] two style doubling back on his own time
[14:14] travel related events.
[14:17] Um,
[14:18] P saying, "Do you think they'll finish
[14:20] the Kang story with X-Men 97 as the
[14:22] bigger multiverse saga integration?" You
[14:25] know, wouldn't that be funny if X-Men 97
[14:27] is the one Marvel title that like
[14:29] acknowledges the existence of Kang?
[14:32] Where's the shot? Yeah, Kang is in this
[14:34] trailer. Or I think it's Kang. There's
[14:36] like a pharaoh. It looks like a pharaoh
[14:39] Ramatut.
[14:42] >> Oh, there's a shot. Um, yeah. Yeah.
[14:44] Yeah. That's kind of like the headdress
[14:45] of of Ramatut as like he looks in the
[14:48] Hickman hieroglyphics that we saw. Um,
[14:52] you know, the he likes to expose arms.
[14:53] He sends out, guns out. He's got the the
[14:55] green headdress. The green and the and
[14:57] the purple are kind of like the dead
[14:58] giveaway for it being Ramatut. Um,
[15:02] I don't know if Feige would allow
[15:04] Bradbomb and would allow the team of
[15:06] X-Men 97 to do the answering of the
[15:08] question. I think this is going to be
[15:09] implied to be a different Kang variant.
[15:11] And this might even be just one shot
[15:13] that they put in the trailer. I think
[15:14] it's crazy that they put it in the
[15:15] trailer. Um, you know, similar to when
[15:17] in X-Men 97 season 1, at one point we
[15:20] see like Daredevil looking up. We see
[15:22] Spider-Man looking up. Uh, we see uh
[15:24] there's like a Black Panther at some
[15:26] point in the X-Men 90s continuity where
[15:28] he just looks up at events. I think this
[15:30] is just going to be another pharaoh
[15:32] who's doing other [ __ ] and this is like
[15:34] a Kang variant. And that might be the
[15:36] most X-Men 97 does to answer the
[15:38] question. Um, I honestly think there
[15:40] will be a line from Scott Lang in
[15:42] Avengers Doomsday that establishes like
[15:44] what kind of happened with him and how
[15:49] he got out of the Kang paranoia, but I
[15:51] don't know if the name Kang will be
[15:52] said. I think they'll refer to him
[15:54] through they'll refer to the character
[15:55] as some kind of like there were other
[15:57] multiversal conquerors that Doom
[16:00] replaced or Doom defeated or or fled
[16:02] because Doom arrived. There will be
[16:04] something like that and they'll refer to
[16:06] them as a reference like that.
[16:10] Um,
[16:12] Christian unpronouncable answer the
[16:14] super chat saying, "Remember to hit that
[16:15] like button and subscribe. Couldn't have
[16:17] said it better myself."
[16:20] Um, Garnett Forner asking, "Any news on
[16:23] when the Witching Hour will return?" The
[16:24] Witching Hour is one of many things we
[16:26] are still trying to figure out here at
[16:27] New Rockstars. When we launched it,
[16:28] we're like, "Yeah, we'll be able to do
[16:29] this all the time." And then we quickly
[16:31] found like, whoa, there's a lot on our
[16:34] plate. Uh we love horror here at New
[16:36] Rockstars and we love breaking down the
[16:38] Easter eggs in horror and that's
[16:40] something that we felt like oh well we
[16:41] we've always been doing that on New
[16:43] Rockstars and we wanted to cover a show
[16:44] like it welcome to Derry on the New
[16:46] Rockstars channel. So like we kind of
[16:48] found like okay we got to we got to go
[16:50] back to the to square one and figure out
[16:52] exactly what we want to do with this
[16:54] channel. But yeah I I want to talk with
[16:56] the team because it's something that
[16:57] like if it were just me doing it by
[16:59] myself I would like be like yeah okay
[17:01] I'll just do this. I'll do that. But
[17:02] it's something that I want to be very
[17:03] mindful of like Gina and Jessica's time,
[17:06] their interests, the editor's time,
[17:07] their interests, our budget for this
[17:09] kind of thing on how much horror
[17:11] analyses we can do. I've also just
[17:13] gotten a lot of feedback that like when
[17:15] we're doing stuff like the deep dive in
[17:16] the Witching Hour, they're like, "Well,
[17:18] isn't that kind of what New Rockstar I
[17:19] already subscribe to New Rockstars for
[17:21] that. So like it's not different enough
[17:22] from what New Rockstars does. If there's
[17:24] one host who looks like one of us who's
[17:26] often on the New Rockstars channel also
[17:28] just analyzing a film that is so New
[17:32] Rockstars coded that it's hard to brand
[17:34] that as like a whole different other
[17:36] channel worth subscribing to. So it's
[17:38] like we're experimenting a lot. We're
[17:39] trying to grow in different directions,
[17:40] but we very mindfully do not want to
[17:42] grow in a way that like will burn us
[17:44] out. So that's why we took a pro took a
[17:46] pause on the wishing hour in 2026. I
[17:48] think we'll have an answer by this
[17:50] coming Halloween season. But yeah,
[17:52] horror analyses you'll still be able to
[17:54] see here on the New Rockstars channel.
[17:56] Uh, a lot of the big horror releases.
[17:57] So, we're doing A24's Back Rooms. We'll
[17:59] be covering Resident Evil. Um, uh, I I'm
[18:03] honestly strongly considering doing a
[18:05] breakdown or some kind of video of
[18:06] Obsession cuz that movie's awesome. So,
[18:09] yeah. Uh, we'll have more details to
[18:10] announce then in the coming months.
[18:14] BK Vance saying, "Y'all hear you think
[18:16] about the Paramount Warner Brothers
[18:17] merger because I canceled that crap the
[18:19] moment Cob Bear went off the air." Yeah,
[18:22] I can understand wanting to to unplug
[18:25] from Paramount Plus uh and not want to
[18:28] support that. Yeah, Co Bear should not
[18:30] have been fired. That was insane. I
[18:32] think all late night hosts are just very
[18:34] expensive for these networks. That
[18:35] doesn't mean they need to pull the plug
[18:36] from them because I think they're still
[18:38] they still do a valuable service for all
[18:40] these networks. Uh so I think they they
[18:43] could have retoled that show. I think it
[18:45] was the politics that motivated uh CBS's
[18:48] and Paramount Sky Dance's decision to
[18:50] fire him and to cancel that show. That
[18:52] sucks. Um in terms of any there's been
[18:55] no other further update about the
[18:57] Paramount Warner Brothers merger since
[18:58] the last time we talked about it on the
[18:59] channel. It's still going through the
[19:01] process. There's going to be some
[19:02] regulatory steps, but I it's probably
[19:05] not an if, it's a when. They're going to
[19:07] be victorious. This is they are going to
[19:09] acquire Warner Brothers. It's going to
[19:11] happen. uh James Gunn and Peter Saffron
[19:14] are going to be left in charge of DC
[19:15] Studios. I don't think you have to worry
[19:17] about that. Um their success or or
[19:20] struggles to succeed would have been uh
[19:22] scrutinized the same way as if they
[19:24] still reported to David Zazlov and and
[19:26] Pam and Mike. So um like part of the
[19:30] acquisition by the Ellison's was to get
[19:32] valuable gems and creatives like James
[19:36] Gunn and Peter Saffron. And I don't
[19:37] think they're looking to shake up
[19:38] anything there. uh the same way that
[19:40] you've seen these horrifying shakeups by
[19:42] Barry Weiss over at 60 Minutes in CBS
[19:44] News. Uh beyond that, I don't have any
[19:47] other updates.
[19:49] Uh Wingo Draw Lingo saying, "Hi, New
[19:50] Rockstars. Love your covers of all
[19:52] things nerdy. Keep up the fantastic
[19:54] work. What story lines or characters are
[19:55] you most excited to see in Doomsday? I'm
[19:57] just excited to see this extreme
[19:58] close-up of Hulk's ass." Uh, no. I I
[20:02] think the story lines or characters most
[20:03] excited to see in Doomsday, I think it's
[20:05] I'm just excited to see what is Dr.
[20:07] Doom's story in Doomsday. I want to see
[20:09] what the Russo brothers big take is on
[20:11] what his Latvian origin was. Was it
[20:13] losing a daughter? Was it seeing his
[20:15] universe be destroyed by an incursion?
[20:17] Was it this bad deal he made with Meisto
[20:20] for his mother's soul to be taken to
[20:21] hell? Probably not that one. Uh but I do
[20:24] think it's going to be some kind of
[20:25] interesting story that Robert Downey Jr.
[20:26] acts the hell out of in the first 10
[20:28] minutes of the movie. That I think I'm
[20:30] most curious about. Um because otherwise
[20:32] there's not going to be like exact
[20:34] Avengers storylines that the Russo
[20:36] brothers are like, "Oh well, we got to
[20:37] get this right." It's going to be a
[20:38] general structural similarity to Time
[20:41] Runs Out, but the Russo brothers don't
[20:43] really do direct adaptations of specific
[20:45] events. Like the closest they got was in
[20:47] Infinity War ending it with the snap.
[20:48] Kind of like how Jim Starland's Infinity
[20:50] Gauntlet storyline has the big snap like
[20:52] Thanos succeeds. But even that, like the
[20:54] rest of Infinity War, how closely did it
[20:56] match any of like Jim Starland story
[20:58] line? Not that much.
[21:01] Kenneth Hall asking, "Do you think we'll
[21:02] get a Hellfire Club story in X-Men 97?"
[21:04] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I honestly think we
[21:06] do. I think all of the like X-Men 97
[21:09] even in season 1 and throughout the '9s
[21:12] was really playing the hits of the of
[21:14] the Claremont era. So, if they just
[21:16] continue doing that, I think you'll see
[21:17] that in season 3. Like they they said
[21:20] with the trailer coming out this week
[21:21] that we'll get a um we'll get both a
[21:24] season 3 and a season 4. So, I mean just
[21:27] like even the the trailers like they
[21:29] kind of know what they're cooking with
[21:30] when they're when they're talking about
[21:31] this show. A question I have for you
[21:33] guys and um Berg or Brian or Zach or if
[21:36] any of you guys are in the chat um maybe
[21:38] put up a poll. It's coming July 1. Do
[21:41] you guys think it's going to be a binge
[21:42] drop? Do you think it's going to be
[21:44] weekly? Like though season 1 was kind of
[21:47] weekly? Actually, season one was kind of
[21:48] a hybrid. We had like two episodes then
[21:50] one episode then one episode then like
[21:52] two episodes and they kind of did a
[21:53] hybrid of both. Um is it going to be
[21:56] something like your friendly
[21:57] neighborhood Spider-Man which was like
[21:58] three episodes, three episodes, two
[21:59] episodes, three episodes? Which would
[22:01] you prefer? Would you prefer a binge
[22:03] drop of all the episodes on Disney Plus
[22:05] on July 1st or would you prefer it
[22:07] weekly? New Rockstars, we would prefer
[22:09] it weekly just so we can have time and
[22:11] let these episodes breathe and get more
[22:13] content out of it. It's kind of more fun
[22:14] for us to have it week by week. But um I
[22:17] want to know you guys' thoughts. What
[22:19] are your preferences?
[22:20] If we could put up a poll, that'd be
[22:22] great.
[22:24] Um Hannah asking, "Are y'all going to be
[22:26] doing anything leading up to Supergirl?"
[22:29] Um, yeah, we we are I'm actually gonna
[22:32] see Supergirl early. I can't give you
[22:34] details of exactly when, but I'm gonna
[22:36] be able to see the movie early. Um,
[22:38] we're gonna do a we might do like a
[22:40] review video. I don't know if we need to
[22:43] do like a recap or like a we did your
[22:45] homework video because like we've only
[22:47] seen the character in in Superman, but
[22:51] yeah, we're definitely going to be
[22:52] breaking down the movie. I don't know.
[22:54] like our trailer breakdowns kind of have
[22:56] you covered so far and what you need to
[22:58] know going into it.
[23:01] Um
[23:04] Trevor asking, "Do we think Insabanur
[23:07] and Ramatut will have a connection with
[23:08] each other?" Yeah, I think we're going
[23:10] to if we're seeing him in the trailer,
[23:11] it means that like in the ancient Egypt
[23:13] of this show, we're going to meet both a
[23:15] Ramatut and an Insabaner. And maybe
[23:17] Ramatut will be the pharaoh and
[23:18] Insabanur is the warrior leader who who
[23:22] Ramatut outcast and and it's going to be
[23:24] on Insabaner to overthrow Ramatut. Um
[23:27] it's I mean who knows what this Kang
[23:30] variant if he even knows he's a Kang
[23:33] variant. You know Victor Timely didn't
[23:35] know his multiversal destiny to become
[23:38] like this Kang figure. Uh so it could be
[23:41] fun to have this like kind of brain
[23:43] reset. Now, Ramatut when the Fantastic 4
[23:45] fight him in the early60s comics, he did
[23:49] not identify as Kang, but I guess when
[23:51] he's retconed later to be a variant of
[23:54] Immortis and Kang the Conqueror, that's
[23:56] implied to be a secret and his Sphinx
[23:59] was a was a time ship um a time vehicle.
[24:03] So, I don't know. Uh I think it's more
[24:06] fun if What do you guys think? Do you
[24:08] think it's more fun if he doesn't know
[24:09] that he's a Kang or if he does? I think
[24:10] it's a little bit more fun if he does
[24:12] know that he's a king.
[24:16] Um, Jersey asking, "Will there be
[24:18] another variant of Doom?" I guess in
[24:21] Doomsday, is that your question? Um,
[24:24] yeah. I maybe uh I think we need to have
[24:27] a different Dr. Doom than Robert Downey
[24:28] Jr. at some point in the MCU. Like
[24:31] Robert Downey Jr. is obviously gonna his
[24:32] contract is going to end with Secret
[24:33] Wars and we need to have a Dr. Doom in
[24:35] the universe after that. You know, Dr.
[24:37] Doom's too rich of a character. He can't
[24:39] just be quickly dealt with in this
[24:41] multiverse saga event. He has other
[24:44] really cool storylines beyond just
[24:47] building battle world.
[24:50] Um, Mega Red asking, "What's my personal
[24:52] Doom backstory theory? What's my gut
[24:54] telling me?" I' I've I've gone through
[24:56] like three different ones that I've
[24:57] talked about on New Rockstars, maybe
[25:00] four if you consider the the baby that
[25:02] Steve Rogers holding grows up to be
[25:04] Victor Von Doom, which is the dumbest of
[25:06] theories. Another theory being that when
[25:09] Mobius talks about the um the kid with
[25:13] his brother by the Black Sea in Loki's
[25:15] finale episode that was going to be
[25:18] responsible for the deaths of 5,000
[25:20] people and he couldn't bring himself to
[25:21] prune him because himself back on the on
[25:24] the sacred timeline had sons of his own.
[25:27] Uh and then Ren Slayer showed up and
[25:29] killed that kid. So, uh, but he said
[25:32] other variants showed up and and the
[25:35] what blew my mind about that is like is
[25:37] he talking about other branches forming
[25:38] off the sacred timeline that they'd have
[25:40] on their wristwatches like oh uh oh it's
[25:42] a now it's a Nexus event. Uh oh, what do
[25:43] we do? Or is it other variants of Dr.
[25:46] Doom who showed up? That'd be a cool
[25:48] approach. Um I like the idea that he was
[25:51] like the the genius Tony Stark figure of
[25:55] his reality. Let's say it is the 828
[25:57] universe. uh and that he was he just
[26:01] came from a country called Latvveria
[26:03] and he would have been like what if Tony
[26:06] Stark existed in a universe with the
[26:07] Fantastic 4. It just went by a different
[26:09] name and existed at a different point in
[26:10] history. He was an engineer. He's trying
[26:12] to do everything Tony Stark tried to do.
[26:14] He built a suit of armor around himself.
[26:16] He wanted to build a metaphorical suit
[26:17] of armor around the world. Um and unlike
[26:20] Tony Stark there there was no like
[26:22] Doctor Strange to cover wizardry. So
[26:24] he's like I also got to learn the
[26:25] discipline of the mystic arts. Uh so he
[26:28] was both a genius scientist and uh a
[26:31] wizard. Uh and as much as he tried to do
[26:35] just this universe was on a collision
[26:37] path with other universes, he his
[26:39] science and magic was decades ahead of
[26:41] what the world's supposed smartest man
[26:43] was, Reed Richards. Uh and he never got
[26:46] the credit for it. And then he found a
[26:49] solution which is something horrific,
[26:51] something that would require u a queen's
[26:53] gamut, a sacrifice of some kind. I think
[26:56] chess is going to be very important to
[26:58] to Dr. Doom and the line that we hear
[27:01] Robert Downey Jr. say in the Cineon
[27:03] trailer of you know uh something
[27:05] unthinkable an unthinkable choice is
[27:07] something that he's willing to do on
[27:08] behalf of his universe but the the the
[27:11] part of that origin story that I can't
[27:13] figure out is like why he needs the kids
[27:14] like why he's interested in Franklin I
[27:16] know why he's interested in Franklin
[27:17] Richards but if like Mistress Love gets
[27:19] taken if Tchala Jr. gets taken. If Steve
[27:21] Rogers kid gets taken, I don't know why
[27:23] that's important to a story. And I I'm
[27:25] kind of dreading the idea of like Gore
[27:27] taking the kids of the Val Hollands or
[27:29] the Asgardians and Thor Love and
[27:31] Thunder. I don't want to see a repeat of
[27:33] that.
[27:35] Um, all right. So, let's move on to uh
[27:38] another detail I wanted to share with
[27:40] you guys. So, Empire Magazine releases
[27:44] uh a bunch of photos. This is why I
[27:46] think there's going to be a Spider-Man
[27:47] Brand New Day trailer that drops in the
[27:50] in the next few days. Uh this is an
[27:52] image of Spider-Man tinkering with
[27:54] something with with Zenaia uh as MJ. If
[27:58] you look closely at the screen down
[27:59] here, that is Bruce Banner's inhibitor
[28:03] wrist device that keeps him from turning
[28:05] into the Hulk. So, Peter Parker is
[28:07] straight up fixing Bruce Banner's wrist
[28:09] technology. I find that to be very
[28:11] interesting. Um it might connect with
[28:14] this other image. Let's see. Here it is.
[28:15] So, this is the Empire magazine cover.
[28:17] And we saw in like a toy uh that Peter
[28:20] has like anti-gamma webbing. And look at
[28:23] the green glow in his web shooter.
[28:26] Doesn't that look like it's like gamma
[28:28] related in some way? So, like Peter's
[28:31] going to have a fight with the Hulk in
[28:33] this movie. I think it's going to be
[28:35] awesome. I can't wait to see this movie
[28:37] just for that. And I do think that we're
[28:39] going to see a Hulked out a fully hulked
[28:41] out Savage Hulk in the trailer that
[28:43] drops next week.
[28:45] Um, now people asking, "Wait a minute.
[28:49] Uh, she doesn't know who Peter is."
[28:52] Yeah, she doesn't know who Peter Parker
[28:53] is, but there's another trailer shot
[28:55] where MJ is facing a masked Peter Parker
[28:57] face to face. She remembers a
[28:59] Spider-Man. She remembers having some
[29:01] experience with Spider-Man because
[29:02] remember in the trailer, Ned is like,
[29:04] "Oh yeah, he saved us. He saved us for
[29:07] some event that happened." So, I think
[29:09] like they remember having a Spider-Man
[29:11] who saved them on Liberty Island. They
[29:13] might even remember other Spider-Mans
[29:14] who were there, but they just remembered
[29:16] that Spider-Man as a masked figure.
[29:20] Jay Glam, hey dude, thank you for your
[29:23] donation.
[29:24] Um, so I think this is interesting. Uh,
[29:26] there was a few quotes that I compiled
[29:28] from the um from this particular Empire
[29:33] magazine article that I found
[29:34] interesting.
[29:36] Um, it was apparently Tom Holland's idea
[29:39] to have his powers evolve in different
[29:41] ways. he kind of joined the writer room
[29:43] for it and he he called it spider
[29:45] puberty and they're like not interested.
[29:47] Please let's not call it that. Uh but he
[29:50] called it the kernel of the idea that it
[29:51] grew into the the mutations his body is
[29:54] going through now. Um Tom Holland
[29:57] straight up said, "Hey, we're going to
[29:58] get a spider uh SpiderGwen and a Miles
[30:01] Morales at some point. I want to be the
[30:04] mentor figure to that person." I think
[30:06] that's a great idea for a fifth
[30:07] Spider-Man movie after this. And I uh
[30:09] over under over under what do we call
[30:12] it? Over under 20 I don't know what do
[30:14] you think will be the
[30:17] probably year it's going to be after
[30:19] beyond the spiderverse where Marvel
[30:20] Studios will even be able to mention
[30:23] Miles Morales. That's the deal they have
[30:25] with Sony. But Secret Wars will be after
[30:28] Beyond the Spider-Verse. So maybe
[30:29] there's a Miles there. And certainly in
[30:31] a fifth version of this series with Tom
[30:33] Holland. I think that's where you get a
[30:34] Miles in there.
[30:36] Over under 20%. I I don't know. I don't
[30:40] think I ever understood what that meant.
[30:43] Uh, another quote that's interesting
[30:45] here, Kevin Feige making it very clear.
[30:48] He's in a sad small apartment listening
[30:50] to the police scanner. He's a classic
[30:52] Spider-Man. And then Amy Pascal calling
[30:55] the movie a more internal movie. The
[30:58] bigness of it is emotional, not worlds
[31:01] exploding. He's making it very clear
[31:03] that we will not see like incursions
[31:05] during the main runtime of the movie.
[31:07] However, I don't know if Amy Pascal has
[31:08] seen whatever postredit scene that the
[31:10] Russo brothers shot that will be
[31:11] attached to this movie. So, maybe we see
[31:13] Incursions there. Uh, or maybe if there
[31:16] is a post- credit scene with this movie,
[31:17] it sets up Peter to return in Secret
[31:19] Wars, not in Doomsday, because we still
[31:22] don't know if Peter's going to be in
[31:23] Secret Wars.
[31:28] Um, random question here.
[31:31] Do you guys how do you keep up with
[31:34] comics for your videos or do you just
[31:36] research as you go? It's kind of a bit
[31:38] of both. If we know events like once we
[31:41] get confirmation that Doomsday is going
[31:44] to be basically Hickman's storyline of
[31:46] Time Runs Out going into Secret Wars,
[31:48] yeah, we'll reread that. But like we we
[31:51] were already kind of familiar with that
[31:52] story line because it's one of the two
[31:54] really really good Avengers story lines.
[31:56] Um the other one being Brian Michael
[31:58] Bendis. Um but the uh for there's once
[32:02] we know that like a certain movie is
[32:04] going to be adapting a specific comic
[32:06] for example Supergirl um uh we knew it
[32:09] was going to be Tom King's woman woman
[32:11] of tomorrow something that I had not
[32:13] read before this movie was announced and
[32:15] then yeah we read it ahead for that. So
[32:18] we kind of read as we go. Uh but in
[32:21] general like a lot of these Marvel
[32:23] movies, DC movies like as much as they
[32:25] are comic book adaptations they don't
[32:27] they don't really adapt comics. Most of
[32:29] the time they bring in characters and
[32:31] story lines and themes and most of the
[32:32] time these screenwriters are like I can
[32:34] come up with a better story and they do
[32:35] something better but they don't always
[32:38] do something better. Um so like let's
[32:42] let's talk about
[32:46] uh let's talk about the boys. I want to
[32:48] touch on the boys. Um I think Jessica
[32:50] did an amazing job breaking down every
[32:52] episode of The Boys. Like she is far
[32:54] more familiar with this IP than I am.
[32:57] Um, but like I can't help but feel like
[33:02] uh this is like something that we have
[33:04] to comment on that this final season did
[33:07] not did not uh like hit with fans the
[33:12] way we wanted it to. Um,
[33:16] right. If you didn't like this final
[33:19] season, I think that's okay. Um,
[33:22] like
[33:24] it it wasn't a terrible final season. I
[33:26] I overall thought like the finale stuck
[33:29] the landing and tied up everything. But
[33:30] the reason I brought it up from that
[33:32] segue is this is like a classic comic
[33:34] adaptation where we know how the comics
[33:36] end. Like it's not like The Walking Dead
[33:38] where we don't really know fully what
[33:40] the endgame of The Walking Dead is when
[33:42] that show when that um show went on
[33:45] season by season. Like so very early on
[33:49] like Eric Krykkey made the the choice to
[33:51] like change major details about Black
[33:53] Noir and his relationship with
[33:54] Homelander, right? So, as soon as that
[33:56] decision was made, we all kind of knew,
[33:58] oh, he's going to move moving in a
[34:00] different direction. And I feel like it
[34:02] was better. Like what he wrote for Black
[34:04] Noir was was better when Black Nor was
[34:07] still part of the show. Uh I liked it
[34:09] better than the reveal from the comics.
[34:12] Um I have to say that the the final
[34:16] battle in Washington DC in the comics is
[34:19] better than this finale. Uh what I what
[34:22] I'm showing here is like one of the many
[34:24] AI related the AI created videos that
[34:26] people made trying to come up with like
[34:28] a better more idealized version of the
[34:30] show. And like you may have seen some of
[34:32] these and I don't blame you if you've
[34:33] watched some of these because people
[34:34] wanted more. They wanted to see the
[34:36] scorched earth. They wanted to see
[34:37] Homelander win. Uh and if you are one of
[34:39] those people who wanted to see some of
[34:41] the scorched earth that he promised all
[34:42] season, I don't blame you. Though, I got
[34:44] to say this shot is dumb because the
[34:47] Washington Monument is nowhere near that
[34:50] close to the White House and if it
[34:52] toppled over would not crush the White
[34:54] House like this. Um, but like I kind of
[34:56] went into the finale expecting to see
[34:58] something like this of Homelander just
[35:00] going apeshit on the US military or the
[35:04] city of New York. Um, I wanted to see a
[35:08] very, very scary Homelander. That said,
[35:11] the way they ended by making him as weak
[35:13] as he was, I thought was great. Now,
[35:15] this person having Homelander zap a
[35:18] happy face, I don't think his laser is
[35:21] powerful enough to vaporize
[35:24] whole square miles at a time. But like I
[35:29] can't blame you if you kind of wanted
[35:30] that just because it is the finale of
[35:31] the show and you could still have
[35:33] Homelander end exactly as he does with
[35:36] this pathetic kind of Mcgrubberesesque
[35:39] pleading that he does. I thought that
[35:41] was funny and I thought that was very
[35:42] fitting for the way he should die. But I
[35:44] just think before that death I wanted to
[35:47] see something like this. I wanted to see
[35:49] him fully at his most terrifyingly
[35:52] powerful stage. I think it's true that I
[35:55] think it's unfortunate that in the final
[35:56] season we we saw him kill fewer people
[36:01] than he did in any of the other seasons
[36:02] that led up to it, even though he was a
[36:04] god at this point. Um, so
[36:07] yeah, that's that's uh I I think it's
[36:10] okay to want more from the final season
[36:12] of a show. I found something an
[36:14] interesting quote that you know, it used
[36:18] to be let people like things. uh just
[36:21] let people like things and that's been
[36:23] like when I started working at New
[36:24] Rockstars that was my kind of sentiment
[36:26] like there's g there's enough negativity
[36:28] on the internet let's just create a
[36:30] space a safe space where people can just
[36:32] enjoy things but as we start to grow and
[36:35] bring in um people who you know are on
[36:37] the team who want to be more critical on
[36:39] camera and as I've wanted to be more
[36:40] critical on camera um I think we also
[36:43] have to be okay with like let people not
[36:44] like things like let people hate like
[36:47] media and content let people [ __ ] on But
[36:50] I also think both sides need to just be
[36:53] okay with letting other people feel the
[36:55] way they feel. And I often feel like
[36:57] that whenever you like something that
[37:00] other people hate, you feel like all the
[37:01] people who hate it hate it for the one
[37:04] dumb reason that you think is dumb. And
[37:06] when you hate something and it seems
[37:08] like everybody else likes something, you
[37:10] think they all like it for the same one
[37:12] reason that you find dumb to like
[37:14] something. Often for that latter
[37:16] category, people feel like, "Oh, I am
[37:19] mad at Disney own Star Wars right now."
[37:21] So, everybody who likes it must be a
[37:24] Disney shill or someone who just only
[37:26] likes watching Disney shills. Where it's
[37:28] totally possible to never watch any kind
[37:31] of Disney YouTuber and just go to watch
[37:34] things like Skeleton Crew, Acolyte, uh,
[37:38] Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, and Grou, and
[37:40] Andor and just kind of like it and just
[37:42] kind of like it. And that doesn't make
[37:44] you like drinking any kind of Kool-Aid.
[37:46] It's also possible to not like what Star
[37:49] Wars is doing right now and not be a um
[37:54] a toxic bigot who just listens to
[37:57] certain podcasts and YouTube channels.
[37:59] You know, it's possible to just be
[38:00] someone who's like, "Hey, I'm I'm not
[38:02] crazy about what Disney's doing with the
[38:04] Disney Plus era stuff. I didn't really
[38:06] like The Mandalorian and Grou. I don't
[38:08] like Mandalorian. I don't like Skeleton
[38:09] Crew. I don't I don't like this stuff
[38:11] like my favorite." You could be someone
[38:12] who just really really loves Revenge of
[38:14] the Sith and Phantom Menace and that and
[38:16] that's really okay. It doesn't put you
[38:18] in any camp. I think everyone just who's
[38:20] too plugged into the internet assumes
[38:21] that anyone who has a different opinion
[38:22] of them h than they do is part of a camp
[38:26] that is mobilized in a way to make their
[38:28] lives hell. And that couldn't be further
[38:30] from the truth. Most people don't care
[38:31] about the drama of it all. They just
[38:33] like stuff or they don't like stuff. And
[38:35] so like don't make your whole identity
[38:36] on whether you like something or don't
[38:38] like something I think is a takeaway of
[38:39] it. And I just saw that kind of
[38:40] discourse happening with the final
[38:42] season of The Boys in a very unfortunate
[38:44] way. It's okay to not like this final
[38:46] season and it doesn't doesn't mean that
[38:48] you're toxic uh or or you're dumb. Uh
[38:52] and it's okay to like this final season
[38:55] and it doesn't mean that you're someone
[38:56] who's just like programmed to only ever
[38:58] say nice things. So just shut up and
[39:01] move on either way, I think, is what I'm
[39:04] saying. Um, but I I'm of the opinion
[39:06] that I mostly liked the way this finale
[39:09] set uh left things. I I think that like
[39:12] the right people died, the right
[39:14] resolutions happened. It's just like the
[39:16] overall pacing of the final season and
[39:18] the the promises that the show made,
[39:21] even Krypky's version of the show made
[39:23] were not fully delivered on in the final
[39:26] season. I I I agree with that sentiment.
[39:28] I wanted to see more of a scorched
[39:30] earth. I wanted to see more of a terror.
[39:32] I wouldn't even be m I wouldn't even
[39:34] mind if like all of like this universe
[39:38] gets destroyed or obliterated made
[39:39] unlivable by Homelander. Um if if like
[39:42] they weren't going to continue GenV,
[39:45] what what reason do we need to live in
[39:46] the present and future of this world? Um
[39:50] I don't The boys is a show that made us
[39:52] very okay with bleak endings where the
[39:54] bad guys win. Uh and I thought there was
[39:57] an opportunity here to end The Boys that
[39:59] way. I really thought that's what they
[40:00] were going to do. But the fact that they
[40:01] didn't, I I I don't really mind because
[40:03] overall I I loved the journey. I love
[40:06] how the boys gave us like an alternative
[40:07] to televised superhero content and I'll
[40:10] always be grateful for that.
[40:15] Um
[40:17] I'm not looking at all of the comments
[40:20] right now, but I'm sure you guys all
[40:22] have an opinion on this. Um,
[40:29] Kenneth asking, "Do you think they'll
[40:30] bring the character from the gifted?"
[40:31] I'm not sure exactly who you're talking
[40:33] about, but thank you for your super
[40:34] chats.
[40:37] Um,
[40:39] another thing I wanted to
[40:42] talk about here. Oops, that's not where
[40:46] I am.
[40:48] Oh. Um,
[40:51] other questions that people had about
[40:58] let's see.
[41:11] Oh, Spider Noir. Guys, uh, I don't know
[41:14] if our breakdown's out yet, but it may
[41:16] just be Josh is waiting for me to finish
[41:18] doing this, but our breakrough our
[41:19] breakdown of Spider Noir is going to be
[41:21] coming to the channel very soon. I
[41:23] really liked Spider Noir. Um, those of
[41:25] you who have watched it, what are your
[41:27] thoughts? Maybe you haven't watched all
[41:29] the episodes, so let's avoid spoilers in
[41:31] the chat. I'm not going to spoil
[41:32] anything. Um, but I really enjoyed this
[41:35] show. I wish it was weekly cuz I think
[41:37] it's a kind of show that's really fun to
[41:39] digest in chunks. I think it would have
[41:40] really been fun to watch Spider Noir and
[41:43] give people a chance to watch each
[41:44] episode in color and each episode in
[41:45] black and white, but it's really hard to
[41:47] do a binge drop like that and have to
[41:50] make a a decision right away of black
[41:52] and white or true hue color. Um, but
[41:56] it's a uh it's a great show. My
[41:58] recommendation would be
[42:00] um
[42:02] I guess my recommendation would be to
[42:04] watch it in color. I personally watched
[42:06] it in black and white first cuz I love
[42:08] that. But the only reason I would say
[42:09] watch it in color is because choices
[42:12] that they made for the villain's power
[42:14] sets are just not even visible in a lot
[42:17] of the black and white shots. Like you
[42:19] can't see um you can barely see, you
[42:22] don't know if Tombstone turns gray or if
[42:25] he just has this weird kind of reptilian
[42:29] um Star Trek the Next Generation looking
[42:31] prosthetic makeup. Um uh like Sandman,
[42:35] you don't know what color his sand is.
[42:37] And I think those color choices are
[42:40] important to the way their powers
[42:41] manifest. And I think even a megawatt
[42:44] looks cooler when you can see them in
[42:46] color. And while most of the time a lot
[42:49] of the the kind of multis falcon
[42:51] inspired noir Casablanca looking shots,
[42:54] Chinatown looking shots, most of it
[42:56] looks really cool in black and white.
[42:58] Um, I would say like to uh to appreciate
[43:01] the superhero elements of this world,
[43:04] the spider, even the whole there's a
[43:06] nightmare sequence that happens in an
[43:07] episode and that looks so much cooler in
[43:10] color than it does in black and white.
[43:12] And a lot of you are like, "Oh, you
[43:14] can't appreciate stuff that's in black
[43:15] and white." No, no. I I prefer it. As I
[43:17] said, I watched it first in black and
[43:19] white, but uh for this kind of show, you
[43:23] you kind of need to see it in color. Um
[43:26] Yeah. And the color looks really cool. I
[43:28] love a really beautifully saturated
[43:31] show. And there's certain shots where
[43:33] they just had like purple lights, pink
[43:34] lights, blue lights, all different uh
[43:37] levels of the frame were lit by a
[43:38] different color in a way that just looks
[43:40] incredible Dick Tracy style. And I love
[43:42] that. I love it so much. So I think it's
[43:44] people are like uh uh I don't know color
[43:47] phobic when they um when they watch some
[43:50] of these things because they were so
[43:51] coded on like desaturated shows. Even a
[43:53] show like The Boys is so desaturated in
[43:56] a way that like it's not even fun to
[43:57] look at sometimes, but a show like this
[43:59] is like, yes, more of this, please.
[44:04] Uh, another question. Doomsday trailer
[44:05] win so we can stop feeling about jealous
[44:07] about Cineacon. Uh, I love does the does
[44:11] he know reference in the Batman 2 video.
[44:15] Um, yeah. Uh, I think the Doomsday
[44:18] trailer will either hit June 4th, June
[44:20] 17th, or during Comic-Con. Uh, that
[44:24] would be
[44:26] July 25th. I think those are the dates
[44:28] that are most likely if you're putting
[44:30] any bets on anything.
[44:33] Um, can we put a poll in the chat of
[44:35] whether you prefer black and white or
[44:37] color for the Spider Noir?
[44:41] Um, I think it'd be fun to see. I most
[44:44] people are probably going to say color,
[44:45] but I just think you kind of need it
[44:47] just to get visual context for some of
[44:49] these fights.
[44:51] Uh, but most of the time if it's just
[44:52] like Nick Cage just like sitting in a
[44:55] room talking to someone, which are some
[44:56] of the best scenes of the show, black
[44:59] and white is my preference.
[45:02] Um, but I do think again they should not
[45:05] have dropped all the episodes at the
[45:06] same time if they were going to give you
[45:08] that option because I think people would
[45:09] have found really fun nuances week to
[45:11] week between like like after episode 4
[45:14] came out, people would have been all
[45:15] over social media talking about, oh
[45:17] well, if you watch it this way, it would
[45:18] have looked like this, but if you watch
[45:19] it this way, it would have looked like
[45:20] this. And it could have been like
[45:22] through the 4th of July, we could have
[45:24] had this show would have dominated the
[45:26] cultural conversation. But instead, I
[45:29] don't know how many people even watched
[45:30] it this week. And I guess luckily we
[45:33] don't have any major
[45:35] nerd streaming shows between now and
[45:37] X-Men 97 or rather House of the Dragon
[45:40] season 3. So um
[45:44] I wouldn't uh maybe people do catch up
[45:47] on it, but I don't know, man. It kind of
[45:49] feels like everyone was talking about
[45:50] The Boys, which was dropped weekly. No
[45:52] one really dropped about talked about
[45:54] Fallout as much because there was more
[45:56] of a binge drop and and unfortunately
[45:58] these shows just like you lose some of
[46:00] the heat when they're binge dropped. Um,
[46:08] someone's asking coverage of Michael.
[46:10] Uh, I haven't seen it yet. Um, I don't
[46:13] know. Maybe I maybe I do see it. I I I I
[46:17] don't know how I break that movie down
[46:19] because it's like
[46:22] I guess you just break down the movie as
[46:24] it was, but there's a real story there.
[46:27] And I think the people who would come to
[46:28] YouTube watching a video about Michael
[46:30] don't want to hear the whole story of
[46:32] it. So, it's hard for me to just put
[46:35] that aside.
[46:40] Um, someone asked about obsession. Yeah,
[46:43] maybe we we probably will do something
[46:45] with Obsession. I don't know when or
[46:47] where. Um something that a lot of people
[46:49] were asking like, "Hey, why isn't New
[46:51] Rockstars covering from?" Um what
[46:54] happened to From? Uh it's like
[46:56] unfortunately I haven't found it yet. Uh
[46:58] from hasn't um
[47:02] uh like I found it I discovered its
[47:05] existence way too late. Um, and it's
[47:08] just one of these other shows that like,
[47:11] you know, we've tried to do this
[47:12] experiment where we are covering
[47:14] everything that like the staff of New
[47:16] Rockstars is currently watching already
[47:17] that's popular. Um, and that that
[47:20] experiment is just kind of yielding
[47:22] diminished returns because what we found
[47:24] is the more stuff we cover, the more
[47:27] tenfold people come at us to be like,
[47:28] "Okay, well, why aren't you also
[47:29] covering all these other shows?" And
[47:30] they're just kind of more mad at you
[47:32] than they are excited that you are
[47:33] covering this show. So, I'm like, "All
[47:35] right, well, we're just going to
[47:36] disappoint people." the more we do, uh,
[47:38] and unless we can be a huge media outlet
[47:41] that can assign freelancers to cover
[47:43] this show, this show, this show, this
[47:45] show, this show, uh, then you, then we
[47:48] can't really cover as much as we are.
[47:52] But like a lot of people say, well, why
[47:54] don't you just do that? Well, then you
[47:56] kind of lose your brand identity. There
[47:57] are plenty of these big news outlets
[48:00] that I'm not going to name, but like
[48:01] when they review things, everyone kind
[48:03] of makes fun of them. And then you look
[48:04] at who reviewed it, it's like, well,
[48:05] that's not the same person who reviewed
[48:06] this other movie. There's no clear kind
[48:08] of editorial voice of the person who's
[48:09] reviewing things. So, I don't want that
[48:12] to be us. I kind of like that we have
[48:14] the team that we have and I want to like
[48:17] when one of our staff members is
[48:19] watching a certain show, if they have
[48:20] the bandwidth and if they can break it
[48:22] down, I I want to create a pathway where
[48:24] they can. But I think collectively as a
[48:26] channel, we do start to hit that
[48:28] bandwidth burnout limit when we're
[48:30] covering four shows at a time. And I
[48:33] think our viewers are kind of like,
[48:35] well, I watch this one show or these two
[48:37] shows, but I definitely don't watch
[48:38] these two or three other shows, so I'm
[48:41] not going to the viewership numbers
[48:43] start to drop on the channel. So, we're
[48:45] we're trying to just figure out what we
[48:48] can make the most sense of. And I think
[48:50] throughout the rest of the year, I don't
[48:51] think we're going to hit a saturation
[48:52] period where there are
[48:55] that many shows to cover at the same
[48:57] time, but I think two is a good number.
[48:59] I think if a channel can break down two
[49:01] different shows at the same time,
[49:03] generally you're okay. I think like so
[49:07] this summer we're going to have House of
[49:10] the Dragon and X-Men 97. Those are the
[49:12] only two shows I think will be
[49:14] overlapping at the same time that we'll
[49:15] be covering. And then there will be some
[49:16] overlap when lantern starts, but like
[49:18] lanterns won't overlap with Xen or with
[49:21] uh with House of the Dragon. So, we'll
[49:23] be covering Lanterns starting in August.
[49:26] Uh we'll have Vision Quest starting in
[49:28] October. Vision Quest will coincide with
[49:32] uh The Rings of Power. I think those
[49:34] will be the two shows we're covering at
[49:35] the same time. But yeah, I think two
[49:37] shows is kind of like a good cadence to
[49:40] be in uh if you're also trying to cover
[49:42] movie news as it happens, you know. Um,
[49:45] so yeah, that's kind of where we're at
[49:47] right now. And it might just mean that
[49:49] there are shows that like you want us to
[49:52] cover that we're that maybe we have
[49:53] covered in seasons past that we're just
[49:55] not going to cover just because like it
[49:57] it burns us out to cover like three,
[50:00] four, five shows at the same time at the
[50:02] same time. Uh, so we're going to break
[50:05] some hearts. I think there will be some
[50:06] shows that we're not covering, but
[50:08] that's just that's the that's the best
[50:10] we can do. if we're also trying to cover
[50:12] movies as they come out, trailers as
[50:14] they come out, all that other stuff.
[50:17] Question from D stuff, thank you for
[50:18] your super chat. How do you think Marvel
[50:19] will recontain the verse post Secret
[50:22] Wars Battle World and make street level
[50:24] heroes important still? You know, it's
[50:26] crazy. I think Marvel Studios is still
[50:28] trying to make street level heroes
[50:30] important during the Doomsday and Secret
[50:32] Wars event. Like, we're going to get a
[50:33] Daredevil Born Again season 3 in between
[50:35] Doomsday and Secret Wars. I have no idea
[50:37] how that's going to make sense unless
[50:38] it's all set before the events of
[50:40] Doomsday. Maybe it maybe that is the
[50:42] answer. Um but I think uh I think you
[50:46] can do that if like you never say
[50:48] multiverse again after Secret Wars is
[50:51] done. Just have one universe where
[50:52] everyone is in it. really do a good job
[50:55] in that universe of a of uh defining
[50:57] space locations, geography, so that you
[51:00] can have a universe that has a a New
[51:03] York in it, um a Westchester County in
[51:07] it, a Wakanda in it, a new Asgard in it,
[51:09] a West Coast in it, a Chicago, an
[51:12] Oklahoma, a Florida, uh a Mexico,
[51:16] um a China, um a Russia in it. like
[51:20] having locations where people live in
[51:22] these places. That's like how we can
[51:24] have different scale events in the world
[51:26] that we're in. Uh you can also go to
[51:28] space. You can have a better defined
[51:30] cosmos. Like I don't think the MCU has
[51:32] done a good enough job of of defining
[51:34] the star map as well as like cosmic
[51:37] stories and fantasies like you know Star
[51:40] Wars and Star Trek have. So that's
[51:42] another way you can do it is like uh and
[51:45] you can do all this in the mutant saga
[51:47] because like the mutant saga already
[51:48] kind of has characters who are both on
[51:50] world and off-world characters who are
[51:51] on crowa in Janosha and in Hudson
[51:53] Valley, New York and in other cities
[51:55] around the world. Um so I think you can
[51:58] have street level versus cosmic pretty
[52:01] easily if you just have like a sense of
[52:03] who your characters are and where they
[52:06] live in that universe.
[52:08] Would you like to see Electra in Born
[52:11] Again season 3? I think we will. Um, I
[52:14] don't know if I need her in it, but I
[52:16] think we're going to have her in it. Oh,
[52:18] here we go. Michael is on its way to
[52:20] make a billion dollars. It ends in 1989.
[52:22] What story do you think isn't told?
[52:31] I'm not saying that the movie is not
[52:33] successful and I think there is a huge
[52:35] audience there who wants to see this era
[52:39] of Michael Jackson. But it's hard to
[52:42] ignore for me what happens after 1989 in
[52:47] his life when I'm talking about him.
[52:50] That's all I'm saying. So, I'm not
[52:51] saying that like adding those elements
[52:54] uh from his life to this movie would
[52:57] have made it a better movie. That's not
[52:59] at all what I'm saying. And I'm not
[53:00] saying it would be a a less successful
[53:03] movie. I think part of the success is
[53:05] that it is just a snapshot. Um I
[53:08] understand that there's a huge audience
[53:09] out there, a huge global audience that
[53:11] just wants to put on blinders and just
[53:13] focus on this part of his life. But I'm
[53:15] saying it's hard for me. It's hard for
[53:16] me to ignore what I consider to be a
[53:19] pretty important context.
[53:22] Uh, but thank you for your super chat.
[53:24] I'm just trying to be honest with an
[53:25] answer here. Uh, Abdul saying, "Hi, do
[53:27] you think Andy Reynolds rumors last year
[53:28] will just be a code name for a cameo
[53:30] like Luke Cage was or Bob's past?"
[53:34] I don't remember Annie Reynolds rumors
[53:36] last year. I don't know what you're
[53:37] talking about.
[53:39] Um, Bob's past will according to be
[53:42] touched on. Does anyone know what
[53:45] exactly
[53:47] you're talking about here? I don't I'm
[53:49] sorry. I don't know what you're
[53:51] referring to. Um, thank you for another
[53:54] super chat saying, "Depending on how
[53:56] doomsday plays out. Will quantum mania
[53:57] become irrelevant, skippable, downright
[53:59] unwatchable?" We actually have an
[54:00] episode of The Road to Doomsday coming
[54:02] out tomorrow that talks about how these
[54:04] movies are still very relevant just for
[54:06] the Paul Rudd Scott Lang of it all and
[54:08] the Cassie Lang of it all. Two
[54:10] characters who will be in Avengers
[54:11] Doomsday. I I think there will be some
[54:13] kind of context. I don't think it'll be
[54:15] fully irrelevant, but I think there will
[54:16] be MCU movies that are even less
[54:18] relevant than the Ant-Man trilogy and
[54:20] Quantumia are for Doomsday. So, if we're
[54:23] doing rewatches, I I think it it's
[54:25] important to at least rewatch
[54:26] Quantumania just to see what the plan
[54:27] was going to be uh and to track Scott
[54:30] Lang's journey.
[54:35] I'm trying to find my screen here.
[54:39] I'm an old man yelling at clouds.
[54:45] There it is.
[54:53] Um
[54:56] guys, uh House of the Dragon, that was
[54:58] the other thing I was going to ask for.
[54:59] This House of the Dragon trailer looks
[55:01] awesome. Um I I'm not going to break
[55:05] down this final trailer. I didn't break
[55:07] down the second trailer either, but
[55:09] there's a lot of cool stuff that's going
[55:10] to happen in this final season. Can we
[55:13] put another poll in the chat? Um,
[55:16] asking I want to ask you guys, New
[55:19] Rockstars historically has done Easter
[55:21] egg breakdowns like the Monday morning
[55:23] or afternoon after a Sunday night drop.
[55:26] However, for A Night of the Seven
[55:28] Kingdoms, we were actually able to
[55:29] publish them Sunday nights. That was
[55:32] really cool that we were able to do
[55:33] that. I guess my question is, do you
[55:36] care? Um, do you have a preference?
[55:38] Would would you go on YouTube Sunday
[55:40] nights after watching these episodes to
[55:43] the New Rockstars channel and watch our
[55:45] breakdowns on Sunday nights or would you
[55:49] prefer having our breakdowns come out
[55:52] the Monday the next day? Um because if
[55:55] we can come if we can wait till Monday
[55:57] the next day, it gives our editors more
[55:58] time to do a polish on the edit and make
[56:00] it a little bit of a prettier visual
[56:02] analysis than it would be if it just
[56:04] came out on Sunday nights. So that's why
[56:06] I'm kind of saying there are options to
[56:08] which we do it. Uh if you could let us
[56:10] know in the chat what your preference
[56:12] would be. Um we're good either way. I
[56:15] think the difference between House of
[56:16] the Dragons season 3 and A Night of the
[56:18] Seven Kingdoms season 1 is A Night of
[56:20] the Seven Kingdoms was largely just like
[56:21] a simpler story. There wasn't a whole
[56:23] lot of lore to get into. There was some
[56:25] lore, but a lot of it was just like, you
[56:28] know, exploring the relationship between
[56:30] these two characters and and the
[56:32] implications and their ti their ties to
[56:34] the Targaryen family. For this, there's
[56:36] a lot of characters. There's a lot of uh
[56:38] political alignments, there's um there's
[56:41] prophecy, there is symbolism,
[56:45] um there's a lot of adaptation changes,
[56:47] and Night of the Seven Kingdoms was a
[56:48] very faithful adaptation. and there
[56:50] weren't that many changes here in in
[56:52] Night of or in House of the Dragon.
[56:54] There's like quite a few changes uh to
[56:56] the characters and to the events of the
[56:58] show. So, it just takes longer to do
[57:01] those. Those will be longer videos and
[57:04] it will be harder for us to get them out
[57:05] on Sunday nights than it was for Night
[57:08] of Seven Kingdoms. So, that's why I'm
[57:10] kind of asking you guys if you care
[57:12] either way.
[57:17] Uh so, let us know. I would love to see
[57:21] poll results with those of you joining a
[57:23] Friday live stream. I I imagine most of
[57:25] you are not the kind of people who care
[57:26] about our Game of Thrones IP content.
[57:29] You clicked on a video without any Game
[57:31] of Thrones thing in the thumbnail. So, I
[57:33] don't know if this is the best sample
[57:35] audience to ask for this kind of thing.
[57:37] I just figured I'd ask you guys because
[57:39] you are the ride or dies if you're here.
[57:42] Hi, Christian. Pronouncable. Test
[57:44] completed.
[57:49] Uh, what's easier for the editors?
[57:51] Honestly, I've asked and they've said
[57:53] kind of either or because the video that
[57:55] they're aiming to make, if it's
[57:56] published on Sunday nights, is like a
[57:59] simpler video visually. Um, but if they
[58:03] have more time, if they drop it on
[58:06] Monday, they can do more with it. So, I
[58:08] think it's like if you just want to give
[58:10] us more time to work on it, we can do
[58:11] this. But either way, we're working. So,
[58:13] it's just asking them when they do the
[58:15] work and how much they're able to do.
[58:17] Um, so they've kind of said it's a coin
[58:19] flip either way. Now, I don't know if
[58:22] that only applied to Night of the Seven
[58:23] Kingdoms and for for House of the
[58:25] Dragon, they'd be like, "Well, actually,
[58:27] we really would uh prefer." And
[58:29] whichever way we go with, we may not do
[58:31] it the same way every week. We may try
[58:32] it one week and and try not doing it
[58:34] another week. I'm just curious what you
[58:36] guys' thoughts are cuz for Daredevil
[58:38] Born Again, we dropped them Tuesday
[58:40] nights like as these episodes came out.
[58:42] We did that for um Punisher One Last
[58:44] Kill as well. And I think for a show
[58:45] like that that wasn't necessarily a show
[58:47] that everyone was watching water cooler
[58:49] style on the same night. A lot of people
[58:52] would watch that the next day or
[58:53] Thursdays. So I think for some shows you
[58:55] you we really can take more time. We try
[58:58] to drop our breakdown after like a
[58:59] critical mass of people have watched the
[59:01] episode. Um because that's when like
[59:04] YouTube is most likely to recommend it
[59:05] to people. It's when people are more
[59:07] likely to be on YouTube. And like for
[59:09] certain for certain streaming shows,
[59:11] yeah, they are shows that people will
[59:13] watch as they drop. Sometimes there are
[59:15] shows that people will watch the next
[59:16] day or the day after. And I think
[59:18] Daredevil born again was a show like
[59:19] that. And and I think maybe even Night
[59:21] of the Seven Kingdoms was a show like
[59:22] that. But there's certain things with
[59:23] like HBO shows like for Game of Thrones,
[59:26] sometimes people do watch them on those
[59:27] Sunday nights. It's part of their
[59:28] ritual. So we were trying to tap in see
[59:30] if we can tap into that ritual a little
[59:32] bit. Uh and we may do that with with
[59:34] House of the Dragon as well.
[59:42] Oh, some people are asking, is uh House
[59:45] of the Dragon on Prime or HBO Max? You
[59:47] know, it kind of depends on your
[59:48] country. For most of the world, it's on
[59:50] HBO.
[59:52] But um I was talking to someone at an
[59:54] event who's from the UK and they're
[59:56] like, "Oh, we don't have HBO shows
[59:57] dropped the same way you you guys get
[59:59] them. We get them on other streaming
[1:00:01] platforms and we just all torrent them."
[1:00:02] Um, so that's just like that. It's just
[1:00:07] kind of an interesting thing to discover
[1:00:08] for international viewers. And a brand
[1:00:10] like HBO shows like Game of Thrones, it
[1:00:12] is a global brand. They just get it
[1:00:14] differently. Another thing that I saw
[1:00:16] this week that's kind of crazy is like
[1:00:17] Disclosure Day, the new Steven Spielberg
[1:00:19] movie is dropping in the United States
[1:00:21] and and many other countries on June
[1:00:23] 12th. It was going to be dropping in
[1:00:25] Japan on July, like early July. And they
[1:00:27] just posted last night. They're like,
[1:00:28] "Oh, sorry. It's not going to come till
[1:00:30] October 1st." Sadly, I've learned that
[1:00:32] in Japan, it's really hard to be a movie
[1:00:34] fan just because for whatever reason,
[1:00:36] like they just like don't release movies
[1:00:38] at the same time as like the rest of the
[1:00:40] world generally does.
[1:00:45] Indian Warrior asking
[1:00:48] uh Meisto in Doomsday or Secret Wars.
[1:00:51] Probably not. I would say not in
[1:00:54] Doomsday. Maybe in Secret Wars. I mean,
[1:00:56] we got to get Meisto back at some point,
[1:00:59] right? Right. Right. Someone asking
[1:01:03] predictions for doomsday billing order.
[1:01:07] Billing order is a specific contractual
[1:01:10] um negotiated thing between the agents
[1:01:12] in the studio. Uh Robert Downey Jr. is
[1:01:16] going to be first build
[1:01:18] easily first build. Second after that I
[1:01:22] think they would go with probably Chris
[1:01:25] Evans then Chris Hemsworth.
[1:01:28] Um,
[1:01:30] then I'm just going by like who has like
[1:01:32] the best agents and who has like the
[1:01:35] biggest resume after that that like the
[1:01:37] Russo brothers valued the most when they
[1:01:40] were negotiating this story. Uh, you
[1:01:44] probably after that have maybe Paul
[1:01:47] Rudd.
[1:01:49] Um, I'm assuming that uh or maybe
[1:01:52] probably um Florence Pew either either
[1:01:54] Florence Pew or or Paul Rudd after that.
[1:01:57] Um, you probably have Sebastian Stan. I
[1:02:00] assume this is what you're asking about
[1:02:01] billing order, right? I don't know. This
[1:02:03] is some agent at CIA who's asking like,
[1:02:06] "Do I need to work harder to get David
[1:02:08] Harbor higher in the building?" I have
[1:02:09] no idea. All I know is that Robert
[1:02:11] Downey Jr. is going to be first build. I
[1:02:13] guess the more interesting question is
[1:02:14] who's going to be the the and and the
[1:02:16] with at the end of the credits uh with
[1:02:19] so and so and so and so because that's
[1:02:22] kind of like after the first three, the
[1:02:24] most valuable spot to be. That's where
[1:02:25] they usually put the elder of the cast
[1:02:26] or when they could surprisingly get this
[1:02:28] person. So I don't think like Downey
[1:02:31] Hemsworth or Evans will be the and or
[1:02:33] the width. But maybe you have someone
[1:02:35] like
[1:02:36] and introducing who the younger person
[1:02:38] is. I I Pedro Pascal is going to be
[1:02:40] pretty high in the billing. Um maybe you
[1:02:43] have and Ian Mckllen
[1:02:46] with Patrick Stewart. Maybe those two
[1:02:48] are at the bottom or something like that
[1:02:50] just because they're kind of the elders
[1:02:51] of the cast. Interesting question. I I
[1:02:54] honestly don't know.
[1:02:57] Uh someone saying odds of Spider-Man uh
[1:03:00] dying in brand new day. Uh is that why
[1:03:03] he's not in Doomsday? He gets
[1:03:04] resurrected in Secret Wars with the
[1:03:05] symbiote. You know, there was some
[1:03:06] rumors going around about test
[1:03:08] screenings where there's a controversial
[1:03:09] ending where he dies at the end of the
[1:03:11] movie. Uh I think like kind of a death
[1:03:14] and a resurrection is something we
[1:03:15] already saw at the end of Infinity War
[1:03:17] going into Endgame. So I'd be really
[1:03:19] shocked if that is what they do. Um, I
[1:03:23] we just already kind of saw that. Um, I
[1:03:26] don't think it's going to be his death.
[1:03:27] I think there may be another character's
[1:03:28] death. Maybe Hulk's death or something
[1:03:30] like that. Um, but yeah, there was
[1:03:32] specifically a theory going around that
[1:03:34] we talked about in Tuesday's video, I
[1:03:36] think it was, or Wednesday's video
[1:03:38] talking about um how someone out there
[1:03:40] saying he gets resurrected with the
[1:03:41] symbiote and that's how we get the black
[1:03:43] suit. H maybe
[1:03:47] MJH. God, man. Guys, we got Let's move
[1:03:50] on. No more conversation about I'm not
[1:03:52] gonna answer any super chats about
[1:03:54] Michael Jackson. I'm done talking about
[1:03:55] that. Geez.
[1:03:58] Um, one thing that if you live in the LA
[1:04:01] area, you should join us for, we're
[1:04:02] doing IGN live on Sunday, June 7th. It's
[1:04:05] actually the event is happening
[1:04:08] Saturday, June 6th through Sunday, June
[1:04:10] 7th. New Rex are going to be there on
[1:04:11] Sunday. We're going to have some fun
[1:04:13] stuff going on. And you can uh get
[1:04:14] tickets by like going over here and then
[1:04:17] when you go um
[1:04:20] accept them all, you can put in your
[1:04:22] information and it's you see it's pretty
[1:04:25] affordable. Like it's not that bad. Uh
[1:04:27] and if you go in and you put in like New
[1:04:29] Rockstars 10 is our discount code and
[1:04:32] you get $10 off that. What a deal that
[1:04:35] is. So you should do that and it's a
[1:04:37] fun. We'll all be there. We're going to
[1:04:38] be doing a live Road to Doomsday episode
[1:04:42] talking about Captain America: Civil
[1:04:43] War. You can be in the room for that
[1:04:45] conversation if you live in the LA area.
[1:04:46] But if you don't live in the LA area,
[1:04:47] don't worry. IGN is live streaming the
[1:04:49] whole thing. You can join us on YouTube
[1:04:50] for it. And if you missed it for
[1:04:52] whenever we do it on Sunday, don't
[1:04:53] worry. We're going to be publishing the
[1:04:54] VOD of just our panel on the New
[1:04:57] Rockstars channel the following weekend.
[1:04:58] So, that's something fun that we're
[1:05:00] doing. And thank you for IG to IGN for
[1:05:02] for um inviting us. Yeah, I mean it's
[1:05:06] gonna be uploaded later during the
[1:05:07] normal window when Road to Doomsday
[1:05:08] episodes upload.
[1:05:10] Another thing you can do to support us.
[1:05:12] Hey, hey, sign up for our newsletter,
[1:05:13] nerd.shop. Look at these designs. So
[1:05:16] many great designs. You can get all
[1:05:17] these shirts. One of the best ways you
[1:05:19] can support us at New Rockstars
[1:05:21] nerd.shop.
[1:05:24] Nai shop. Look at this Doom chess. I
[1:05:27] think we we underestimate how important
[1:05:29] chess is going to be to Dr. Doom.
[1:05:31] There's going to be a lot of chess
[1:05:32] references in Doomsday. I'm confident.
[1:05:38] Look at this guy wearing his Mesto shirt
[1:05:40] right now. Brazilionaire. What a hero.
[1:05:43] What a guy. Gotta love you.
[1:05:47] All right. Um, I'm going to call it
[1:05:50] there for this episode of Office Hours.
[1:05:53] Guys, it's been so fun to talk about all
[1:05:55] this stuff, to answer all your
[1:05:56] questions. Uh, thank you all so much for
[1:05:59] joining us during this live stream. Oh,
[1:06:01] another question from Indian Warrior
[1:06:02] asking, "Would the Russo brothers and
[1:06:04] Destiny Cretton be aware of each other's
[1:06:05] film plots since they tie into each
[1:06:07] other? Who would coordinate this?" Yes,
[1:06:09] I think these are important uh enough
[1:06:12] stories that they are uh they it would
[1:06:16] be Kevin Feige, it'd be Louis's Bizto,
[1:06:18] it'd be Brad Winderbomb, it'd be other
[1:06:20] Marvel producers. They're big enough for
[1:06:22] the studio. Steven Brousard, they're
[1:06:24] chatting with each other, they're
[1:06:25] comparing notes, and yes, they're aware
[1:06:26] of each other's stories. They're at
[1:06:28] least aware of each other's stories.
[1:06:29] Now, I don't know if Destiny knows the
[1:06:31] full plot of Doomsday, and I don't know
[1:06:33] if the Russo brothers know the full plot
[1:06:34] of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but they
[1:06:36] know enough about those characters if
[1:06:37] they're featured in each other's
[1:06:38] stories. Yeah. Uh Edward, I talked about
[1:06:40] this earlier. It has been paused for at
[1:06:42] least now, but we'll have answers on
[1:06:43] like what our plan is for those coming
[1:06:46] soon. Yeah, for those of you watching
[1:06:49] the stream right now, you don't have to
[1:06:51] leave New Rockstars. We'll be releasing
[1:06:53] our Spider Noir breakdown uh on this
[1:06:55] channel right after we're done here. So,
[1:06:58] I think you'll really love it. Uh, I
[1:06:59] assume that was from Josh or somebody
[1:07:02] else. Um, I want to thank Joshua Steven
[1:07:05] who did an amazing job editing all the
[1:07:06] videos you saw on the channel this week
[1:07:08] on New Rockstars. Brian Kim set up this
[1:07:11] live stream and always does an amazing
[1:07:12] job. Everything he does here as our
[1:07:14] studio tech and break room producer.
[1:07:17] Check out Brian and Berg on the break
[1:07:19] room every week. Uh, they do amazing
[1:07:21] work co-hosting with the rest of the New
[1:07:22] Rockstars team. Uh, and thanks to our
[1:07:26] supporting editors for everything they
[1:07:27] do at New Rockstars. And I also want to
[1:07:29] thank uh one of our NR underground
[1:07:32] subscribers. Let's say you, Frederick
[1:07:35] Price, for supporting us at the
[1:07:36] executive producer level. It's uh it's
[1:07:38] like the best way you can support us
[1:07:40] other than getting some merch from
[1:07:41] nerd.shop. You can go to
[1:07:43] nrunder.supcast.com,
[1:07:44] which is where we have our uh exclusive
[1:07:47] like behindthe-scenes conversations.
[1:07:48] Berg and I are just recorded an episode
[1:07:51] that we're going to be releasing on
[1:07:52] Monday talking about these new Amazon AI
[1:07:55] creator funds and and what that really
[1:07:57] means for the industry. Yeah, it's a
[1:07:59] great episode. Thanks again for joining
[1:08:00] us. I'll be doing this uh in the weeks
[1:08:03] ahead. I mean, we we're going to be
[1:08:04] doing some live streaming next week uh
[1:08:06] assuming we get a Spider-Man trailer.
[1:08:07] I'll be here live answering questions
[1:08:09] again. Uh I have a lot of fun doing
[1:08:11] this. Thanks again. Love you guys. Have
[1:08:13] a great weekend. Stay safe out there.
[1:08:15] Bye-bye.
[1:08:17] Heat.
[1:08:28] Heat.
