Can Anyone Hit the Highest Rank?
45sThe relatable struggle of ranking up and falling back down hooks gamers immediately.
▶ Play ClipThis video features a coaching session where an Overwatch pro, Handscan, reviews gameplay footage of a Soldier: 76/Sojourn player (Sunshine) to identify mistakes and provide actionable advice for climbing ranks. The focus is on cooldown management, positioning, sound cues, and ultimate usage rather than aim.
Handscan, an Overwatch League player, begins coaching Sunshine, emphasizing that he doesn't care about aim and will focus on cooldown management and positioning.
Sunshine uses his ultimate (Visor) immediately after his teammate uses theirs, without knowing enemy positions. Handscan advises waiting and using ultimate only when you have visual confirmation of targets.
Handscan explains that Sojourn's disruptor shot should be used to cut off routes and control space, not just to direct-hit enemies. Placing it behind enemies forces them to walk through damage.
Handscan emphasizes listening for sound cues like D.Va's boosters. Using ultimate after hearing cooldowns ensures it isn't countered.
Sunshine panics when chased by a Wujang (Genji) and uses his slide to escape, but ends up in the open. Handscan suggests using utility to reach safe positions (e.g., behind cover) instead.
Handscan states that high ground is extremely overpowered and should always be taken. Controlling high ground gives a significant advantage.
Sunshine holds his disruptor shot for too long. Handscan shows a scenario where using it on the ground below would have demech'd D.Va.
Sunshine uses disruptor shot on Reinhardt (a tank) instead of using it to block the left side where enemies are. Handscan advises using it for map control to isolate targets.
Handscan explains that supports are more valuable than DPS. Trading a support for a DPS is winning. Healing is more important than damage.
Sunshine uses Visor preemptively against a Kiriko, who can TP away. Handscan advises against ulting when the enemy has an escape cooldown available.
After killing Tracer, Sunshine fails to chase a low-health Soldier. Handscan says that's the time to be aggressive and use ultimate to secure the kill.
In the last fight, Sunshine plays much better, using disruptor shot to control space and building rail gun charge before engaging. Handscan praises the improvement.
Improvement in Overwatch comes from focusing on cooldown management, positioning, and sound cues rather than aim. Adapting to situations and being patient with ultimate usage can lead to significant rank gains.
"The title promises coaching from an Overwatch pro, and the video delivers exactly that with detailed gameplay analysis."
What does Handscan focus on during coaching instead of aim?
Cooldown management and positioning.
00:59
What is the correct way to use Sojourn's disruptor shot according to Handscan?
Use it to cut off routes and control space, not to direct-hit enemies.
06:41
Why should you listen for sound cues before using ultimate?
To ensure enemy cooldowns (like D.Va's boosters) are used, so your ultimate isn't countered.
08:10
What is Handscan's philosophy about high ground?
High ground is extremely overpowered and should always be taken.
17:24
According to Handscan, which role is more valuable to kill: support or DPS?
Support, because healing is more important than damage.
29:26
What mistake does Sunshine make when using Visor against Kiriko?
He uses it preemptively when Kiriko can TP away.
32:23
What should you do after getting a kill on an enemy DPS?
Be aggressive and chase low-health enemies to secure more kills.

Focus on Cooldowns and Positioning
Sets the coaching philosophy that aim is not the primary factor for climbing.
00:59Disruptor Shot for Map Control
Provides a specific technique for using an ability to control space rather than just damage.
06:41Sound Cues for Ultimate Timing
Highlights an often-overlooked aspect of gameplay that can prevent wasted ultimates.
08:10High Ground Dominance
A core principle that applies to all maps and heroes.
17:24Support Priority
Provides a clear target priority hierarchy that can improve decision-making.
29:26[00:01] possible for anyone to hit the highest rank in Overwatch? I play a lot of play time, I've managed to peak grandmaster. But for some reason, no matter what new heights I reach, I always seem to fall back to diamond. A
[00:14] hell and I'm just unlucky. And plenty others have said that I simply don't ranks. I don't think that either of these things are true, but if things continue as they are now, I may never escape low. In this series, with the
[00:28] everything it takes in order to climb. That means aim training, thought reviewing, watching pro matches, and getting a lot of coaching. This is Skill Ceiling, the series where I intend to prove that anybody can ache
[00:46] stream and the YouTube video? >> Uh, sure. Um, hello everybody. Uh, I am Handscan. uh played in Overwatch League, playing a few notable teams like Energy Bald reviewing, helping out Sunshine today. So, so the way I do coaching and
[00:59] give a [ __ ] about aim. I don't look at that. You wouldn't be here if you didn't look at it. Uh aim is not something that I can tell you XYZ. It's like going to practice, do your coax, do your stuff, do your routine, play a lot, and
[01:13] to focus on is cool management and positioning. Um, I feel one of the don't really take into consideration is positioning when it comes to Overwatch. Positioning can single-handedly win you fights. Cool down management is another
[01:27] when to press your buttons and why you're pressing them. And then obviously ultimates are pretty important too, but that comes more like in in a team aspect this is like a pretty good example of a lobby where I just did not feel that
[01:40] impactful or like I mattered that much or that I really had control. Like I game. two. Okay. So, we have ult here. So, two. Okay. So, we have ult here. So, what are you going to do with that?
[01:57] inside of us. I I think Oh, yeah. I think we're I don't know. I just feel >> Yeah. The problem is I agree naturally, but don't ever ultimate without actually like the thing that you have to keep
[02:10] go to, the smarter the players become. And in this scenario, all you can see is coolown on her defense matrix or not. But she can effectively just completely duration if she wants to. And if that's the case, then where's the rest of their
[02:24] team? Well, they're playing secret and safely on the point, right? So, if this ability to actually stop you from doing damage, then yeah, sure, it could be okay. And sometimes I like to use the kind of explanations that just because
[02:37] doesn't mean that I need to make one, too. So, while you are correct, it's the rush, but if you don't actually see anything, what's the point, right? you're not going to kill her with the ultimate. That's not happening because
[02:50] have access to extra damage. So, by killing this Diva, you need to hit her nugget and crit her. That just isn't feasible. What I would have liked to do here instead is, yeah, they use rush and it might not be the best scenario, but
[03:03] you need to at least see with the end uh where all the other people are. In this you're kind of just throwing your ultimate into nothing. Um, I would have played it a little bit slower, walk more to the right, just take it easy. And if
[03:15] over here, that means that you can just press alt on the point and then take she doesn't have the cool downs to actually take care of it. So, by holding decided to rush, it doesn't mean that you have to press Q, right? It it's not
[03:28] like a 3 2 1 I have to go. You can use that as a left click buffer if you really want to shoot at the div.a, get her out of the mech, and then press Q, like a you have to do it. Instead, if I were you, I would have seen and
[03:40] diva here, there's a Ko, but I like to play it right side because she already worry about anything for at least another 6 seconds. That means that you angle, press Q here, and see what you can find, right? I'm just not a big fan
[03:54] of pressing Q as soon as my teammates does because I don't know where the sense? >> Yeah, bro. I do this all the time where screen 2 seconds later. >> The higher rank you go to, the smarter
[04:07] to be more tricky. You can't be so transparent where you're going to press your cues, right? Like, it's scarier when a soldier is a little bit more left side angle, right side angle, and they play around the enemy team's cool
[04:20] don't see an enemy, there's no point to pressing Q on a div.a is that smart either because she can just absorb all your damage. So, try and be a little bit less predictable if that makes sense.
[04:33] Okay, so moving forward a little bit. Okay, it's coming back from spawn.
[05:06] here. >> Pretty much pretty much they're doing be doing, right? Like they play it slow, they wait, they see if they can hear anything, and then once they catch somebody off guard, they press Q to
[05:18] get the 5v4, right? And already at that point, your team is behind. playing in like a little bit higher rank though is I I keep playing against Sojurnns who like look the way that I want to look.
[05:30] >> Mhm. Yeah. No, absolutely. Taking inspiration is not a bad thing to improve. Thanks for the help. >> Okay, so you see the Wu Jang up top. >> You have a You have a Venture who's actually under the Wu Jang as well.
[05:44] >> Okay, they move out. Your venture is still there. Diva charges at you.
[05:57] couple times now, so I kind of want to bring it up again. So, her gap closer, aka her E, disruptor shot, right? Yeah. >> So, I feel like you try to direct hit >> Oh, because it does damage to them, >> right? But the way I like to use it is I
[06:13] I don't want to throw it right at them in the middle of combat. Instead, in here, you'll see what I mean. So, in this situation, you have a really nice left. You have the div.a, you have the Wuang. Now, what's going to happen here
[06:27] your disruptor shot. It's going to hit around this area right here. And it's it feels like you're always trying to like direct tick them. >> Try and use it more as a way to close gaps.
[06:41] >> No. >> So, say hypothetically there's maybe an in the back. I like to use the disruptor shot as a means to close off an area, through it and I don't want anybody walking out of it either. So in this
[06:55] on the point, I actually like to put it behind them so they have to walk through all that damage instead of like trying to hit them directly, you know, where >> If you apply that logic to that disruptor shot come almost like every
[07:08] you'll get more damage in, you get more old charge and people are kind of panicking when that happens, too. To me, it's more like you're trying to direct Farah. And and that's fine. I see your point. But I like to use it more as a
[07:21] means to cut off their route. And if you can apply that logic to almost every single map, I I can assure you you'll get way more damage out of it. Move get way more damage out of it. Move forward just a little bit.
[07:41] >> You guys are mimicking each other's movement.
[07:58] the most, right? Eva can can basically just completely shut you out if she you can do about it cuz we're playing 5v5, so she can just do whatever she wants. In this scenario, the only thing I want you to keep in mind is a thing
[08:10] that I like to refer to as sound cues. And the only reason this goes really poorly is once I like the fact that you take a right side angle, you look before you start getting some hit onto Wu Jang
[08:22] already did a one v one against her. What I would have liked you to do instead is just play it smart, play it slow. The fact that we press Q here div.a has her rocket boosters or not. Like imagine the scenario where she
[08:35] here. That gives you another 3 to 4 seconds of just free ultimate usage, you get a few hits in and then you press Q because you get excited, right? You really hear the div.a use her cool downs at all. So, she can literally just shift
[08:49] completely shuts down your ultimate again. And and that's another thing, more comfortable about these situations, you can start listening for things like actually very loud. And once she uses them, you know, in your head, you have
[09:02] freely do whatever you want before she can go for you again. So, I think this angle is good. I like the idea behind it. I did like the fact that you ta took a look before you decided just to press Q. But for future reference, if you can
[09:15] give yourself a little bit more time to maybe hear if D.Va uses her rocket perfect. Does that make sense to you? >> Yeah, I get it. And that's so easy to do it would have made me probably kill three people.
[09:27] >> So far, some small minor positioning mistakes. Yes. We're not going to talk about the aim. It it it doesn't matter. Your aim will get better over time. It not going to sit here and just be like, >> I'm working on it. I'm playing every
[09:41] >> Yeah. It doesn't matter what I say, you'll get there naturally.
[09:59] >> You're going to tell me where the point is? >> you only use your E ability when you're actually like isolating somebody. You don't really press that cool down a lot outside of it. You you have it up a lot.
[10:12] here, right? And this is just like small nitpicky things cuz I know you you want to be a bit harder on yourself, but so we have our E available and isn't this just a perfect scenario to put it? >> My brain is not going off right now
[10:26] saying I need to use my E immediately. So, like I believe you, but I don't see >> But look how much time it's up for. Here's another great example to person E is to gap close the doorway here. There's
[10:39] to go. She's not going to go left. She's not going to go right. So, this is another perfect example where you can use it again. But we're not using it. We're holding it. >> And now there's several possibilities
[10:52] where we could have got more old charge, more damage, potentially a DME. We still haven't used our E. Oh, >> again it sound it sounds worse than it separates you. Like think about it from a different perspective. If you can get
[11:05] like say 50% old charge out of your E, which is a lot, but naturally if you do that over the course of an entire game, you can build maybe one or two more it is a small little things like that where it's just like try and utilize
[11:18] if they have to take the only route they're supposed to, make sure that they get there. Don't give it to them for free.
[11:40] Uh that that's rough. I'm going to go back here. Okay. ground is what? >> I there's a weang to the right of me. I >> Okay. >> And he's ulting and so I don't want
[11:52] >> In in in my head, right? But you don't you don't really know that there's more >> I only know there's a Wuang. I don't know about Tracer or the other person. >> So let's play with the idea that it's just a Wu Jang. Why are you scared of
[12:06] >> Cuz Okay, he's alting. And don't you have the best utility in the game to get >> This is true. >> So why are you afraid of him and he's disregard the fact that there is a soldier over there and there's a Tracer.
[12:18] We didn't know that at the time. Rey's playing as if there's only a Wu Jang down. Why are you afraid of him? Shouldn't >> die. It's just genuinely over, you know. >> Okay, but but in this case, this div.a
[12:30] least assume that she has ultimate cuz in the air and take all this damage, right? Like, so we we can kind of deduct her ultimate. You are safer on high ground than you utilizing utility to run
[12:44] you're dropping high ground, why aren't you just dropping like, you know, into a >> Well, I agree. This makes way more sense cuz my team can actually help me here if >> But but what you do is you panic because the Wu Jang is chasing you. That's what
[12:59] actually happening. You then decide to use your utility because you need to escape from the div.a ultimate, which gives ample time for this Wu Jang to actually catch up to you and hit you with the ultimate. The idea that you had
[13:11] when you can actually just wait until the last second and then pop your it doesn't really make sense. And then the biggest issue that I have with this is talking in a perfect scenario. You're also utilizing your utility to get
[13:24] completely in the open, which enables everybody else in the enemy team to the open. You don't have your ultimate available, so you can't defend yourself and your team is playing on the point. In this case, if I were you and I'm
[13:36] scared of the Wujang, I will use my utility to get into safe haven, which is >> Yeah, this is way better. No, I really see it. I understand. >> That's good. That's good. >> So, she pops ultimate. We try to get
[13:48] tracer. >> Dude, it's so crazy because in my head going to say, "Oh, unlucky." You know, cuz that's how I felt when it happened. me." Whatever. >> See, it's it's good. It's good. It's
[14:02] where there are plenty of mistakes happening because this is really how you do get better. Like just the mindset and thinking differently.
[14:28] >> Do you often use your slide to to be aggressive and try and do damage? >> Okay. Okay. When there is a soldier and a Kirao, let's try and not dive into >> Wait, actually, can you can you go back and tell me like where the alarm bells
[14:42] time. >> Okay, so now you know there's a Kico. You saw her cuz you were shooting at her. >> Now you know there's a Wu Jang and a Kico.
[14:57] >> The scary part for me is that good Kira players can kill me on any DPS with two >> Oh, true. I >> I don't I don't I if I can avoid oneing Kiraos, I avoid it. And the higher rank you go, they'll do more damage to you.
[15:11] you've experienced that firsthand. I try to avoid her like a plague. I don't >> this is a real question. This is a real question. If you are in this lobby, are you not interacting with this Kirao or are you egoing him because he's masters
[15:24] >> I try to avoid Kyos. I don't like fighting them. I I get tired fighting Kyros. Like if I unless I wake up and I feel like I'm not missing a single shot, I will not take the duel. I I feel fighting Kos is actually just tiresome.
[15:37] most of the time when you play against good care, they want to isolate you in a I really don't care is if I'm playing Bastion, but you don't play Bastion, do >> As Bastion, I Yeah, as Bastion, like you hop into sentry form, what is she going
[15:50] she's just hitting you for 50 60 damage and half of your HP is armors, you don't really care that much cuz even if your venture is not here, which when you peek already knew there's a Wu Jang. You already knew there was a Kirao going
[16:03] 1v2. To me, that's my alarm bells going off because supports in 5v5 do a [ __ ] ton of damage. You have to play beyond perfect here. Not just perfect positioning, but your aim needs to be incredibly sharp. And what I'm asking
[16:16] myself is why why do we want to do this in the first place? Like there's a team has to play the next fight 5v4 than winning. And that's not an insult to your skill. It's just we don't need to
[16:29] do that. I mean, your venture ended up dying to >> They died for my sins right there. I'm thinking actually. >> It's okay. It's okay. It's funny how it's all kind of foreshadowing. Somebody
[16:42] for it. >> Okay, so the Kira hit you twice in the healed. >> Your Sigma gets caught up in the open as >> cuz from my perspective, my team just exploded.
[16:55] >> Yes, you the fight is over. What could I have done differently here? Like, okay, let's like go back in time, right? Uh if that's okay. Like like to the beginning, like before my adventure explodes since you're not taking this
[17:10] trying to poke or whatever. How would you have played this? Like where where this fight? >> So So the fights naturally during this they're scrappy and that's not necessarily your fault. it just feels a
[17:24] and so forth and and that that happens from time to time. You'll get games like that. >> Um I am a firm believer that high ground in Overwatch is extremely overpowered. I feel like high ground in every map is
[17:36] always done. That's my philosophy since I started playing 10 years ago. I feel and should always be abused as much as humanly possible. It don't matter what corner you're on. It don't matter what what point you are in which map. I feel
[17:50] You take it. And I feel like whoever has control over high ground generally has a to find somebody to prove me otherwise. So I always stick to that. And that's opinion. Yeah, we didn't need to play up
[18:04] could have done damage more far. Like there's a lot of ways we can we could we're not playing Tracer. But sometimes I feel like when I watch your soldier that you're on Tracer, right? Um the way you play the scenario over here, it's
[18:18] poke because you have a recall, you have three blinks. Sojen only really has two caught in the open and then you will die, right? If you're strictly asking differently, I wouldn't have taken the fight over there. Instead, I would have
[18:31] it hard for them to just push in for free. Does that make sense? >> So, I I I like this area. I I don't mind this area at all. Um the only time I has either a really good hustle player or a good widow player, then I like to
[18:44] them to actually acknowledge where I am. Playing here right now is completely fine in my opinion. and it doesn't make that much of a difference. Uh, your tank dies here and the best you can do now is just to get out of the situation
[18:58] and try and get out alive and not stagger so you get another chance at stagger so you get another chance at this.
[19:11] there. That's good usage of the E. You literally dem her because there's so much damage. So that that was a good example of using your E. >> Okay. Good kill on the diva. Good old usage as
[19:23] well. Keep the momentum >> really cuz it's just kind of kind of bad. >> No. Okay. So, in my personal opinion, I think this was completely completely fine. Soldier gameplay. So, I I I'll
[19:37] I think it's good starting from this here, we're on the back burner here. They overextend. You make a huge play with your E. She takes a [ __ ] ton of with your E. She takes a [ __ ] ton of damage. you demeck her and
[19:50] the time is ticking, right? We somehow have the point. I'm not really sure. No, we don't have the point. Never mind. Um, we need the point back. You then wait. You see the Wu Jang. >> You look to the right. You see the Sojun
[20:03] and you see baby Diva. You get the Baby Diva. And you already know that there's shot at the Wu Jang and you saw the Suzu. So, you already know that there actually think that this is textbook soldier play. I think this is okay. This
[20:17] momentum. And I think this is completely fine because this wasn't one of those you feel excited and you press Q without seeing anybody. You actually saw two possible targets here. You killed the tank, meaning you can just ride the
[20:31] situation, right? >> You could make an argument and say, "Oh, really over till it's over, is it?" I think this is fine. I have no problems with this. I probably would have done something similar in yourstead, so this
[20:44] is not an issue. Ko unfortunately then goes away. Uh she TPS which is unfortunate and the Wu Jang uses his utility to get the [ __ ] away from you and boom. This is where we are. I think that was completely fine. So Soldier and
[20:56] that was completely fine. So Soldier and Gai got it. We get the point back. Gai got it. We get the point back. >> Now I want to see how you play this. top. Okay, so we take high ground here. Good.
[21:23] >> No. >> Okay, so the diva a little bit >> Wait, I know. >> Yeah, she used her boosters to try and doesn't have her cool downs and we still aren't using our E.
[21:35] were going to say at all. Never mind. >> Yeah. So, the reason you were able to demeck her when she over overextended over that area is because she used her rocket boosters to get to you. You then pop your E beneath you and she stands in
[21:47] and then you demeck her. Right. There was an exactly similar scenario here where she had no idea where you were. She pushes in and you have free high ground. I a great opportunity to slam an E on the bottom and just demeck her
[22:01] been holding it the entire time. I I can show you right now. So, here's We just recently used it, right? Thank you. >> Nothing's really happening. Coming off here. 4 3 2 Great positioning by the way. Now
[22:17] we have it available. Would have been a perfect opportunity Would have been a perfect opportunity there.
[22:39] yeah, Blue Jen kind of just pressed Q and just ran into you as hard as he could. He died for it, but he definitely seems to have something. >> Well, he knows. See, I thought you were going to say uh that when like the
[22:51] tracer blinked on me and I slid back, I completely took myself out of the fight so my team could help me cuz I think that I died there cuz I isolated myself.
[23:03] entire team fight is actually occurring on the like on the point itself and it's >> cuz cuz like this will come with you as as more you play and the more I kind of like poke at you and I say sound cues are very very important. We we heard
[23:17] boosters go off. I knew the sodium was playing on the opposite side of you and you were sort of aware of it too. No one really has like easy access to get to you but the tracer playing safely there and making sure that you don't get pulse
[23:30] bomb or caught off guard. I think it's worse if you die there. And while you oh I shouldn't be isolating myself like remember the soldier saw you from across the field right and she knows that
[23:43] full high ground, press Q and expect to just get free value out of anything. You you also wasted the tracer's cooldown, too. She were forced to use recall. So it's not for not like you did something. >> Oh, okay. So just by holding the space,
[23:57] forcing cool downs and I'm forcing them to play differently. I'm not actually enemy soldier on the across the across just take high ground for free and press Q and kill your entire team. She knows
[24:11] wasted two blinks and you got out of recall. So, she's out of the fight for a brief moment. So, it's not completely useless. No, I don't think so. Best case decides to just go all in, kamicasi you, hits ultimate and doesn't kill you while
[24:26] have been the best case scenario, but he kind of just ran down mid, hit you with the alt, got the kill, he died for it, but you weren't useless at all. is my favorite point. >> Wait, why?
[24:40] >> Wait, why? >> I don't know. He's like it.
[24:52] >> What? Okay. I'm listening. I'm listening really closely with my ears right now. more time. >> Okay. everyone's there. >> Now, you have two people on your left,
[25:06] scenario? Is it the Reinhardt in front of you or is it the soldier in Buu Jang >> Mhm. And what do you do? >> I look, she can't see me, >> right? This is not terrible, but they're still there. Just because you borrow
[25:20] they can't see you anymore. They still over there. But look what look what happens here. >> We then decide to press our E in this gateway on the Rine when you already
[25:32] >> Because they're not on my screen, so they're not my problem, intents and purposes, we don't know that the sword I mean, we have Wall Hack this is actually the right play to do, but with the information that we had.
[25:45] that, though. She made a mistake by rotating. I think she could have stayed >> You you you could have literally just taken a left side peak, put your disruptor shot there, and made sure that they couldn't enter that area for
[25:57] Meaning that you have full clear passageway to just focus on the Reinhardt here. So, so again, this is like you you tell me that you're scared >> but then we use our cool downs on the Reinhardt, which is not scary,
[26:10] >> Okay. And it's because I'm using it for damage and not for map control. Like >> that is correct. That is correct. I I So I don't know. Do you take the slow on >> Really? >> I do it all the time.
[26:22] Ga busted. I just love that because >> I can't do it. I'll get flamed by >> That's completely fine. Yeah. I I like it for scenarios just like this because and they're like, "Yeah, I'm going to push through this E and take like 150
[26:36] that. And then you get a free kill most of the time because people don't expect reason why I point this out is because you said it yourself. I'm scared of the right. So, this is true. Try and keep that in mind. You can shut this off and
[26:52] not have to be scared. And then you are playing sojourn. So you don't actually have to play super close to your target either. You have the advantage of playing at a range, right? So if you push disruptor shot on the left, that
[27:04] means that you can just hold comfortably at this angle because right now we are an advantage. We don't have to make a play. They have to. We have the point. make a play. We just need to play our cards right. And in this position,
[27:17] the right, spamming there is perfect. And we can just we we are completely future. Okay. >> Okay.
[27:37] >> Really? Is that scary to you? >> Yes. Because we just saw the Sojun and Wujang together. >> Oh, that's a really good point actually. jump didn't rotate, which she's still doing, by the way, if she's stuck here,
[27:51] probably died. >> Yeah, I think I might have like an object permanence issue. I >> I see what you're trying to do, but thing, but just utilize cuz cuz what you did is you used your uh uh utility to
[28:05] did is you used your uh uh utility to jump over here and then face this close. playing Tracer right now. You don't have to be this up close. You can do the same amount of damage from 30 yards away. You don't have to do this. This is this is
[28:17] could have done instead is if you really want to take this angle, why don't you just use utility to play this side right here where you're safe. True. >> So if there is another target in there and the soldier stayed, you could have
[28:30] call it out to your team, ping it for whatever reason, and then put a this angle instead, and you're completely safe. This way, you actually another person in there. But by jumping in and there is another person in there,
[28:44] just die and now your team has to play 4v5. Do you get what I'm saying? >> That's good. That's good. That's what I'm here for. Keeping company.
[29:11] I say something. >> Okay, >> Uh-oh. >> Right. So, we have pretty darn good positioning in my opinion. This like after the fact, we know that there's
[29:26] only a boo in here, right? I think the tier list goes as follows. Tanks are the there's supports and then there's DPS. I would trade a support for a DPS every day of the week. If I can hold a support hostage, I consider that winning. If you
[29:42] can get a kill, even better. I think healing is more important than damage. If a support dies and you have a support alive, I think you're more likely to win times. So, the reason why I have a problem with this is because right here,
[29:57] you are comfortable taking this fight. You have the range, you're playing safe. Now, what ends up happening is you hear a tracer behind you and you completely lose track of what you're supposed to be doing right now. And you'll see it soon.
[30:09] Well, you So, we take this angle. Wu Jang is still not moving back. He's still kind of inkling a little bit. He tries to hit you. Sooner or later, So now you see the Wu Jang going in again. You focus on the Tracer cuz you
[30:23] obviously. >> You take this angle. You start shooting at the Ryan shield. Wu Jang is still here. And now we have the same scenario again. There's a Wu Jang on the left. He's spamming damage and there's a rhino
[30:36] And we then decide that we're just going to throw a disruptor shot onto him, really do that much when we could have shut down and actually go for a kill cuz now we know that Wu Jang is alone. The reason we know that is because we hear
[30:50] completely isolated and you should not be afraid of him. He should be afraid of you. So if I play this differently and I was in your shoes, I'd be building my gun charge off the Reinhardt. I'd build it up to 100. I would then start poking
[31:03] the Wu Jang. If I get him down to 70%, I 100% I use my utility, go in and I go 100% I use my utility, go in and I go for a kill instead. You then used your utility, but we don't have our rail gun charged, right? So,
[31:16] should have played this a little bit slower. You should have built it up. Get the only problem I have with this play. Okay. And he uses his cool down to knock Okay. And he uses his cool down to knock you off. He's still in there.
[31:32] He's still in there. Okay. So, still I don't really have a happens soon when I have a problem with it. Here's where you start getting it. Here's where you start getting scared of the Tracer.
[31:49] >> Yeah. >> Why are you running away from the >> You are at you are at a massive advantage here because you already scared of me, but I'm so scared of him. >> Right. So, you run away, try to look for
[32:02] then isolates you. We missed. We We whiffed the shot. It happens. Hell pack good. Disruptor shot good. I don't mind this at all.
[32:23] process? Mrs. Sunshine, >> we have to win. I've been dillydallying all team fight. I have to make a play five minutes ago. I'm pressing Q because I don't see anyone to build a rail off of. My my Mizuki is not alive.
[32:37] just TP you away. >> Okay, I'm not saying it was a good play. >> I get it. I understand. I I've been there, done that, too. But wouldn't you have had absolutely insane positioning
[32:51] only that, but you also have a health pack. The only problem that I have with this ultimate usage, I I see your logic. I understand where you're coming from, but it's not good to press Q preemptively against a KO. I'm not going
[33:05] to say it. I just think Ko is beyond broken in this game, and even after the mandatory. She's too good. But pressing Q against a Ko you can just TP away is should have gone anyways is that you need to see what you're trying to first,
[33:20] you're doing. We've already caught you doing this twice before in this game, right? And I think you need to be able to visually identify what you're trying to ult before you press Q. Otherwise, we end up in situations like this where you
[33:33] just don't know. You're in a situation right now where there's a 30% HP soldier know if you're going to kill her or not. However, do you get what I'm getting at always better to identify what you're trying to shoot at before you press Q
[33:47] ultimate and we've only shot once and there's just nothing to shoot at, right? logic though, but we need to be a little bit smarter with our ultimate usage. >> You get a really nasty kill on the Tracer, which is pretty damn good. What
[34:00] I would do before even seeing it is I would use my utility, move forward, and kill the soldier who's 30% HP on the left because we saw her, right? That's what we want to do. Now, what are we going to do instead? Let's take a look.
[34:18] behind not chasing the soldier there after the treasure kill? >> I'm actually like dead serious. I'm just not thinking about the people who aren't for one second. He rounds a corner and I'm like, "Oh my god, look at this big
[34:32] really think that's it. I'm not kidding. >> But the best part about seeing her there midair is that she was not able to get that hype without using her cool down. >> Yeah. No, I >> That was a golden opportunity for you to
[34:45] actually utilize that moment after the Tracer kill. That is the time to get excited. That that that is a 3 2 1 go scenario. You get the kill on the enemy You don't have to worry about her. You've already spotted the Reinhardt in
[34:57] are playing far back. You already know this because you've seen it. So, you have completely free reign since you press Q. She doesn't have it. She doesn't even have an escape. And she's 30% HP, meaning you just need to hit a
[35:10] there and then you would have one v2 them. But instead, we uses our we use our utility to run up to the point. And now we're fighting the Sojourn who had all the time in the world to dash to a health pack and then go out in the open.
[35:23] So now we're doing the same thing I pointed out just after she was given a Sunshine. You're giving them a chance to fight back. We need to be mean.
[35:41] anything. >> No, you're not being mean. This is really, really, really good cuz it's really obvious and like I can do this might take me a while. >> No. Okay. Not mean to interrupt you.
[35:55] That was beautiful. That was really good. Let's Let's look at that back. differently is press my E around this area. So, whoever is stuck at the ramp have to move past and through your E and they will take damage doing so. That's
[36:10] behind them because they're going to they're not going to move forward. They're going to move backwards. Players generally want to go away from danger, not into danger, right? But the rest of
[36:22] this play Okay, that's pretty [ __ ] good. That was after she left. And then you chase her and then you kill her, which is beautiful. That's exactly how I which is beautiful. That's exactly how I would have done it, too.
[36:39] right, let's see how you play under pressure. Last fight territory. way. This angle.
[36:54] >> It's not bad. You just have to be really careful of cool down usage. >> That is beautiful. Absolutely incredible play.
[37:16] literally getting randomly headsh shot by the Kico twice. No one else was even That's why I'm so afraid of playing against her on any DPS I play. And and respecting. A random headshot from the Kico would literally just end you
[37:32] have done about it. You can react to it. That's just the way the game is. All why you got to respect that. >> Dude, you got to be take you got to be careful or Blizzard is going to take you off of their list.
[37:54] >> Good. >> That's what I love to see. Got a got a natty 7% ultimate charge from that. We like We like that.
[38:06] Okay, build rail gun charge on the R. Go for the Sojurnn again. Not a bad play.
[38:25] you're playing like a [ __ ] Oh my god, you're playing incredible right now. and control. >> Nice prediction tracking. Beautiful.
[38:42] supports. That's the right play. It's okay to build rail gun charge off the ball to get 100% rail and then you get there. Okay, so that last point was like to see more of. Again, you can probably see the difference like from
[38:55] You would press Q preemptively without seeing anything. here at the very last get them to 30%. And then you start hunting. That That's kind of what I like >> Okay. >> Remember, also, it's okay to adapt to
[39:12] work out at first, but once it starts clicking and it becomes a part of you, things are going to make way more sense and you need to get knocked down a up. So, just remember that things might not go your way straight away, but once
[39:25] you start picking up on things and it starts to become like part of you and you have an easier time dealing with situations and you drop 500 SR right now, but in a week like I'll be better at the game.
[39:37] you were on a monumental monumental win streak and then you went on a monumental I went on a 14 game losing streak like >> Oh my god, bro. Oh my god. >> Yeah, it happens. Happens to everybody.
[39:51] anything that you're wondering about and you're trying to adapt to a certain play not working, just reach out. Don't mind doing this again. doing this again. >> Cool, bro. Thank you so much. Okay, bye.
