33:47

[00:30] I'm going to go ahead and do that.

[01:00] I'm going to go ahead and get back to you.

[01:30] I'm going to go ahead and get back to you.

[02:00] Oh, it's like an auto-battler! It's an auto-battler sitting man in this game. With a whole lot of vibes. Dude, we're gonna check this out, man.

[02:15] This looks fun. This looks very fun. Oh, I would've... it's probably not voice acting. That'd be amazing if it was. Oh, dude, I heard great things about that game.

[02:27] That's awesome. Let's hit no hands. How fun. What a crazy idea. And what a crazy vibe for it. That's awesome. That's fun.

[02:39] Yeah, we'll check that out at some point. Was that Hello Neighbor 4? Like Hello Neighbor. Maybe my kids still play crowd chanting

[02:54] Oh man, that's super late

[03:18] The king is watching. Right now, on Steam Deck. Oh man, I didn't realize how similar King is Watching is to the Crab Game.

[03:31] That's really funny. It's almost like the Crab Game is like a wreath in King is Watching. That's cool, that works man. Because they've used it in a great way.

[03:43] But that's really funny. You can see the progression. The king is walking, the crab is walking.

[03:55] Kind of good. I like it.

[04:14] Oh, this is the repair game. This game apparently sold super well and is really chill. I've had friends that have played this and say it is such a cozy game.

[04:40] Yeah, has he played it? Awesome. How long does it take to beat the game? Is this like a 5 hour experience or like a 20 hour experience?

[04:58] Oh, 6-8 hours, that's it. Cool. Yeah, that's something we could probably do down the road. Dan's game is played as well? Cool. Very cool.

[05:14] hmm what is this?

[05:26] we've heard of this before oh

[05:40] I'm going to go play this I haven't played that game.

[06:00] Oh, this game is awesome! I cannot wait for this game. We did the demo and it was great. Report to the administration office number 376. Dispatch to investigate the disaster at the research institute station. Contact with the station was lost more than 100 cycles ago. From what we can see, the station appears to be in a state of...

[06:18] To be honest, the extent of the damage and the sheer loss of meaning are unlike anything we've encountered before. All initial attempts to establish contact with the station were unsuccessful and docking was inappropriate.

[06:30] We were at a dead end. But today, we've finally got Raccoon. The station's spare keeper came through. The success of the mission now depends on him. In accordance with protocol, he has begun restoring the station and preparing a report for the management company.

[06:45] But still we are running into problems. As restoration progressed, we detected unusual and unexplained waste signatures, as well as multiple anomalies of type A and C. More details will follow.

[06:57] Few inhabitants of the station have unknown waste structure and are possibly dangerous. We have requested emergency assistance following protocol 006 and the Commission on White Noise Anomalies. Until help arrives, we will attempt to restore the station's peace of mind.

[07:12] The situation is difficult, but on behalf of the crew, I guarantee that we'll support it out. That's why Ray H is now self-sufficient.

[07:26] There was a demo, I don't know if it's still out, but there was a demo we played of this game, and it was very cool. Elsa, look at the top. 0451. I immediately liked her death scene. We are, we are.

[08:06] When I was growing up, you could get these little house things that were called pocket something. And I remember for the longest time, there were kids that would have their whole little rooms and houses,

[08:22] these little Polly Pocket things. That's right. That's like Polly Pocket for adults. That's what this game is.

[08:34] Yep. That looks like it worked. Oh this is the, yeah, so this looks interesting. I'm really hoping that this game gets somewhere awesome. I love the premise of a base that you like

[08:49] take with you between areas. There are a lot of games that have tried it but there hasn't really been one yet that I feel has any name in it. Most recently when Void Train was close but had some massive problems unfortunately for me. I'm looking forward to the first time

[09:04] that it does it really well, you know? Yeah, I feel like the last big one that did it was Raph. Yeah, Raph did it super well.

[09:16] I saw some glimpses of it also in SoulMash.

[09:31] I mean, there's supposed to be a little direction here. What is this? This is train full.

[09:46] Oh my God. We got those Who

[10:19] world of horror this is going to be scary it's going to be a night shift taxi horror

[10:41] this reminds me of one of those oh god I can't remember what it was he makes those types of games We played a bunch of them. Chiller. Chiller's Art. That's right. Chiller's Art.

[10:58] Yeah.

[11:19] One year ago, Drill Corps opened its first shaft.

[11:31] Since then, you've mined, built, defended the platform, and impressed the board more often than not. Thousands of you have already clocked hundreds of hours, which we filed under either great success or spectacular failure.

[11:47] Your suggestions, your feedback, and more late-night runs than we can count have shaped the game into what it is today. To show our appreciation, Drill Corps is proud to release the Anniversary Update.

[12:02] Available now on Steam and consoles. Don't keep the drill waiting. Cool? Uh, you watching?

[12:14] Throw it in the... What is going on with that? What is happening here? The game was all over Twitch for a bit.

[12:30] Gravel.

[12:47] Are you just playing? Motherfucker. Motherfucker.

[13:01] Oh my god.

[13:17] I really like the idea of a single player version of that.

[13:37] I love the idea of a developed single player game where you run a walker and you build it up throughout the game and you have to move it around. That could be so much fun. I don't know how much I like it in the multiplayer context, but I think that premise is really good.

[13:51] What do I never play again? I don't know. What is this? May the fifth line cook triumph!

[14:05] Trial by Trial! What is this?

[14:46] Thank you.

[15:16] Hall rupture with a demo.

[15:32] If one of y'all tries that, send me a message on Discord and let me know how it is. That looks like you can be kind of awesome. Kind of FTL-y, almost. Huh.

[15:44] Oh. It reminds me of soccer a little bit.

[16:16] Interesting. That's such a cool idea.

[16:38] October 28th. Cool. Thank you.

[17:16] I'm gonna go with the shield

[17:38] Kill the fire 2 is absolutely amazing for a koji says weloy Whoa! Jeez! What a fun art style.

[17:53] Streets of Rogue! Graveyard Keeper 1 is 80% off? Just saying, the game's pretty good.

[18:10] No!

[18:40] But Grey Dog won't give up its secrets without a fight. A new power has awakened.

[18:55] You think you're the one who can take me? Are you sure your efforts will be enough?

[19:07] Broke through the whole ass dance move for that. Cool.

[19:38] Cool. Welcome back to the graveyard business. This time it comes with a district to rebuild The job is simple Bodies come in you take care of them Most people see a tragedy You see inventory And a good businessman wastes nothing Every organ

[19:58] a resource. Here's the thing about the dead. They don't always stay that way. That's how I know. So, you put them to work. Labor costs, zero. Paid leave, zero. Complaints, zero.

[20:13] Just a three-day mode. Zero admissible complaints. Give the good ones better tools. They learn. They specialize. That one was a lumberjack. Please. I'll give another catch.

[20:26] More responsibility. No wages. We call that a promotion. Gather. Craft. Build. Unlock new workshops, new machines, and new ways to squeeze this town dry.

[20:40] Then you take the district back. Block by block. Clear it. Settle it. Put it to work. Connect it all. Oh, cool. Learn the production. Automate everything.

[20:53] The dead don't sleep, so the money doesn't either. And when the horde comes to eat everything you've built, you send your own dead to meet them. But zombies with zombies. Nobody said management had to make sense.

[21:07] No romance. No harvest festival. No neighbor bringing you a pie. Oh, it is that you're calling. Far run out of arms. Graveyard Keeper 2. The only game where the apocalypse is a business class.

[21:21] Our search is great. Demo available now. It's onboarding. We're keeping it so cold for you. Heck yeah, man. Exclusive sauna building?

[21:33] What? Yeah, we're going to be checking that out as soon as it's over. Yep. developing Kingmakers on our own custom version of Unreal Engine 4. Kingmakers is our dream

[21:49] game, attempting something no game has done before, and we're excited to share it with you. This game looks so ridiculous, dude.

[22:02] King Acre asks a simple question. What if you brought modern weapons to the Middle Ages in order to rewrite history?

[22:15] In King Acre, you travel to 14 old things to help Owen Gwyndor transform a wealth rebellion into an empire. My beloved, must you kill so many people?

[22:29] Well, unfortunately, these brilliant English scientists sent me back a thousand years to get your dad on the throne. And I don't have another way to do that. What about diplomacy? Ha! Do you think your dad used diplomacy in the original timeline when he conquered England?

[22:44] Do you think he had a tea party with King Henry VIII? Henry I. Huh? What? Ah, you're fair to help Wingo defeat Henry I. You know, Battle of Agincourt. You're not just a foot soldier in Kingmaker's, you're responsible for the army itself, using

[23:02] an interface similar to games like Age of Empires, Stronghold or Man O' Law. As you claim territory, you'll lay siege to enemy castles, establish settlements in hostile

[23:14] lands and defend them against attacks from massive armies. Even with an army at your side, you're still heavily outnumbered. You're the size pack with an arm, gun, vehicle, air support from the creature.

[23:29] King Acre's tech is truly groundbreaking. Every mission features tens of thousands of soldiers with the same level of fidelity that you'd expect from a triple-A shooter.

[23:42] Every tree in building is fully destructible. The result is an incredibly unique experience that can boost a solo or an up to four player

[23:55] co-op. Kingmaker uses the already performant Unreal Engine 4 with our own Captain Tech on top with a focus on maximising CPU and GPU performance.

[24:15] We've designed Team Makers to be a great single player experience.

[24:42] But the entire campaign was playable in drop in, drop out, or three of course. In the timeline we're familiar with, 1402, the Welsh noble Eoin Gwyndor rebelled against England to gain independence from Wales.

[25:00] Unfortunately, this rebellion was crushed. However, this is not the true timeline. It's an alteration caused by a mysterious force. Oh, this isn't the true timeline? This isn't what really happened?

[25:13] If in the original timeline, my father defeated King Henry and conquered England, then why be any to fix things? Who changed everything? Hmm. Someone's bad.

[25:25] Right, isn't it? Huh? Then, is the timeline you restored? And we're to believe that unless Wales conquers England, the whole Earth gets destroyed?

[25:40] Yep, that's way bigger than you think. You don't even know about America. As you progress through the campaign, you'll encounter increasingly difficult foes from both the past and future

[25:52] who want to preserve the timeline the way it is. It's on you to send whatever silver, copper and gold you find back to the present day so your support team can buy you better weapons.

[26:05] This includes submachine guns, automatic rifles, miniguns, grenade launchers, and eventually things like turrets, airstrikes, tanks, helicopters.

[26:22] When establishing a new settlement in hostile territory, you're responsible for building farms, lumber mills, and other structures to get your economy up and running. As you explore each territory on foot or on wheels,

[26:36] you'll also be able to loot English villages and forests. I feel so bad for these guys.

[27:00] At any point, you can switch to the strategy view. From here, you can give orders. Construct buildings. This is really cool. I didn't know this game was doing this kind of thing. It's kind of interesting because, like,

[27:21] this has some really interesting, like, city building and army management and all this stuff. And it's based around one of the most ridiculous premises for a game I've ever heard.

[27:38] Like, it's a lot of work for this. Every structure you build is true to life in scale. Fully furnished, navigable, and destructible.

[27:51] Going all in, man.

[28:05] This barracks, Bill, you can train soldiers. Oh, I thought he was going to pull down the whole thing for a minute. to recruit poorly trained peasants, but as the settlement expands you'll field cavalry, archers, berserkers, men-at-arms and more, each has its own unique advantages on the

[28:22] battlefield. As you conquer territory you'll need to complete unique objectives in service to Oing Gwyndor's rebellions. A mission might cast you with seeding an enemy cavalry,

[28:34] or a sorting Welsh nobleman through their territory. If you're playing the campaigning corps, each player will command his own army.

[28:46] But conquering territory won't go unchallenged. English barons and nobles will throw massive armies at your settlements. Engagements in Kingmaker's often involve thousands of soldiers,

[28:59] each making his own decisions on when to attack, when to back off and when to retreat, dictated by a complex system, morale and loyalty. Taking one enemy could trigger fellow soldiers to

[29:14] run in fear, counter attack and a mental rage. Those arrows through my... oh they are.

[29:26] Poor man! Those guys like six arrows just through him! And they're not going anywhere! Bro you a pincushion

[29:49] How are you functioning? You're starting to look like an actual porcupine. You've got what's in your face.

[30:07] Okay, I have to admit, this apparently looks like some kind of bug or something where the arrows never disappear from the body. And I really hope they just keep that in for release and they just never disappear.

[30:23] That would be actually pretty cool. Okay. So Dev probably had God Mode on? I feel like this game is playing the game in God Mode.

[30:37] Your team in the present can also help with air support and turrets. In Kingmaker's battlefields are built through to life skills. Fortunately, you can call in a motorbike to get around quickly.

[30:57] Later in the campaign, you'll be able to call in cars and trucks that offer more protection. Eventually you'll earn armoured vehicles and time.

[31:16] As you rack up victory, the enemy will promote more powerful officers. Often equipped with denouement, thick, heavy iron armour and shields, these are capable

[31:28] of deflecting lower calibre bullets. The weapon upgrades are crucial. A heavily armoured knight won't hesitate to charge through his own men, or burst through a wall to get at them.

[31:40] Oh yeah!

[31:54] Enemy officers are valuable when captured alive. You can ransom them for gold, torture them for info, or execute them to boost your army's morale.

[32:10] As you expand your conquest across England and Scotland, you'll earn experience to permanently upgrade your character class, unlocking new weapons and abilities for yourself and for your soldiers.

[32:27] Am I going to play this? Um, I don't, I don't know.

[32:39] It looks like a game that would be very goofy, and maybe some dumb fun, but like, there's a... The premise is pretty out there.

[32:54] I don't know. I will say I'm very impressed with the tech behind it, though. Like, I really like the idea of, you know, kind of an RTS-based building and army management and all that thing in real time.

[33:07] I mean, there's... I was not aware this game was doing that. I thought this game was just all bits. So, it's a lot more thought out than I thought it was. I mean, I feel like this is a little bit more, like, total war than I was expecting.

[33:22] So, this part's kind of goofy to me, honestly, like running around shooting medieval knights, like that's kind of goofy, but there could be some really fun, solid strategy game in

[33:35] there that's not what I'm expecting, you know? But no, it was also super smart of them to go with Unreal 4.

[33:47] Like, that makes me understand how a game like this is actually possible. So that's cool man, that's cool. Thank you for watching the Time Bill Connect.
