Creator Roundup: Likeness Detection, Communities Updates and More

[00:00] Hey Creators, let's dive into this month's  Roundup. We're rolling out the new Likeness   Detection feature in YouTube Studio. This  tool is designed to help you detect, manage,   and request the removal of unauthorized  videos made with your facial likeness,  

[00:14] giving you more peace of mind in protecting your  likeness as AI content continues to evolve. You   can find it in YouTube Studio by clicking on the  content detection tab. Here you'll see a sub tab   called likeness. Note that before YouTube can  start searching for videos with your likeness,  

[00:29] you need to complete a one-time setup process.  If your channel has multiple creators, each of   them can set up likeness detection for themselves  by following this process. The likeness detection   tool is rolling out to all YPP creators by January  2026. For more info, check out the links in the  

[00:44] description. A/B testing is now available to all  eligible creators. This feature lets you choose   up to three video titles and/or thumbnails to  test with viewers to help pick your winner.   You can use the A/B testing feature in YouTube  Studio Desktop when publishing a new video or  

[00:59] with an existing video. On the video details  page, click the icon under the title section   or the thumbnail section and choose which test  you want to run. After you've added your titles,   thumbnails, or combinations of both, click run  test. A/B testing is only available for public,  

[01:14] long- form videos, and the test will start once  you publish your video. YouTube will show your   chosen titles and/or thumbnails evenly across  your video's audience and will select a winning   thumbnail based on which one generates the most  watch-time share. If there's a statistically  

[01:28] significant result, you'll see a winner label.  You can always manually select the video title   and thumbnail you want to use. Check out the  links below for more info and availability.   Ask Studio is now available for eligible  creators in the US. Ask Studio is a new  

[01:42] conversational AI partner in YouTube Studio  to help you get insights on your community,   understand analytics, and find new inspiration.  To find this feature, head to YouTube Studio,   then click the Ask Studio icon. Stay tuned for  more updates as we work to expand the availability  

[01:57] of Ask Studio soon. Public to members-only live  streams are now available to all creators with   channel memberships. This feature allows you  to easily transition a current public live   stream into a special members-only live stream.  Non-member viewers also have the opportunity to  

[02:12] purchase a membership to unlock access. We hope  this makes it easier to provide valuable perks   to your members and grow your community. We're  gradually rolling out an updated AI-enhanced   version of comment reply suggestions and expanding  this feature to more creators on Studio Mobile,  

[02:27] Main App mobile, and Studio Desktop. The new and  improved version of this feature provides editable   suggestions in your own style and tone to help  make it easier for you to respond to comments   from your audience. Suggestions are available  in the 100 plus languages supported by YouTube  

[02:41] comments. Comment reply suggestions are completely  optional and editable before posting. Simply tap   the suggestion to edit it before replying. Try  it out! We're changing the way tagged product   timestamps show on your content on mobile to  make them less disruptive for your viewers.  

[02:55] Videos with timestamps will now have a shelf that  expands below the video. To minimize disruption,   the shelf will stay open during gaps between  product timestamps and will continue to show   the most recent product until the next appears.  We hope this creates an even smoother shopping  

[03:08] experience for your viewers. We've added some top  requested features to Communities. Communities are now available on desktop. This update  allows you and your viewers to view, post,   and engage with communities content directly  from your computers. You can now also access  

[03:23] community settings and moderate posts from the  communities page on desktop. You can now pin   a post to the top of your community to set the  tone and shape the vibe of your space. You can   highlight a welcome post, important announcement,  community guidance, or standout fan contribution.  

[03:37] Creators and their community moderators can pin  posts from the main YouTube app. We've also added   the ability for creators to heart viewer posts  in your communities to show appreciation and   give your viewers recognition. Finally, sharable  community links are now available on the main  

[03:51] YouTube mobile app. You can access your link by  heading to your community page, then tapping the   three dot menu. From here, you can share your  link on social channels to invite more people   to participate in your community. That's it for  this month. We'll see you next time. [Music]
