This video provides a comprehensive overview of the Delves system updates coming in Patch 12.1 of World of Warcraft: Midnight, covering new delves, rewards, the Delver's Journey, and changes to the Nemesis boss encounter.
The video focuses on Delves in Season 2 of Midnight, detailing all the new content and changes coming in Patch 12.1.
Patch 12.1 launches on August 11th (NA) and August 12th (EU). During patch week, all Delve tiers are available but Bountiful Delves are locked, and the first difficulty of the Nemesis Delve is accessible.
One week later, on August 18th (NA) and 19th (EU), Delve Season 2 begins. Bountiful Delves open, Coffer Key Shards and Restored Coffer Keys become available, and the second difficulty of the Nemesis Delve unlocks.
Three new Delves are added: Ring of Glory and Nal'dor Island (regular) and Venomfull Deeps (Nemesis). Each has three story variants. Nal'dor Island features a 100% drop chance mount from a sturdy chest.
The Nemesis boss, Astric, is located in Venomfull Deeps. Defeating it on normal difficulty rewards the Apothic Petagia 3D back piece; on the second difficulty, players earn a title and the Astric achievement, which grants a golem mount.
The Fabled Slayer achievement, 'Fabled Let Me Solo Him Astric', is awarded to the first 4,000 players who defeat the boss solo on the second difficulty within the first week of the season.
Several older Delves (e.g., Tool of the Man, Collegium Calamity) receive new story variants themed around snakes and venom, adding freshness to Season 2.
Valera's max level increases to 80, and she gains a poison system unlocked via a quest line in Silvermoon. Poisons apply to both Valera and the player's weapons.
Gearing in Delves remains unchanged from Season 1, with updated item levels. A curio wipe occurs, introducing new venom and coiled owl-themed curios.
The Delver's Journey system returns with new rewards at each renown level, including mounts, toys, decor, and currency items like Corrosive Souls.
New achievements include collecting sturdy chests and completing new stories, plus leveling Valera to 70 and 80. New vendor items include the Corroded Pouch of Undercoins, a nemesis beacon, and transmog sets.
The video concludes that while there are no massive changes, the new Delves and Nemesis content are enjoyable and worth exploring.
Patch 12.1 brings a wealth of new Delve content, including fresh stories, a challenging Nemesis boss, and a revamped Delver's Journey, making it an exciting time for Delve enthusiasts.

08:25[00:01] video. Today, we're going to talk about Delves, and more specifically, we're going to talk about Delves in season 2 of Midnight, and everything that you need to know going into 12.1. There's a ton of great Delve updates coming in
[00:14] this patch, including new Delves, new rewards, a brand new Delver's Journey, and much more. But, before we jump into that, guys, I do want to let you know twitch.tv/mistergm. If you want to see me streaming World of
[00:26] Warcraft 12.1, any sort of WoW, I'm over on twitch.tv/mistergm. All right. So, yes, Delves are getting some pretty major updates in the Curse of Ulta'ek patch. Obviously, we're going to get a brand new season, so that means a ton of
[00:40] new stuff to collect from Delves with the new Delver's Journey. And we do have some new Delves to dive into, as well. But, let's start by talking about the release schedule. So, patch 12.1 launches on August 11th in the NA
[00:52] region, and August 12th in the EU. And on patch week for Delves, you will have access to all the tiers of Delves, which you will need to unlock again. However, you won't have access to the Bountiful Delves, and you will also have access to
[01:05] the first difficulty of the Nemesis Delve during that first week of the patch. Now, 1 week after, on August 18th in the NA region, and 19th in the EU, Delve season 2. This will include Bountiful Delves now being open, which
[01:20] of course, you will start getting Coffer Key Shards and restored Coffer Keys for those Bountiful Delves. The season starting will also bring in the second question mark question mark difficulty.
[01:32] mentioned it earlier, yes, we have some brand new Delves coming in 12.1. We actually have three Delves, two of them being a regular Delve, and one of them being the Nemesis Delve. So, on the Coiled Isle, which is the new zone of
[01:45] 12.1, we have the Ring of Glory Delve, and the Nal'dor Island Delve. Now, each of these has three different story variants each, all super unique, and course. But, overall, these delves are really enjoyable and they have some
[01:59] interesting mechanics. Now, Naldo Island specifically actually has a brand new mount attached to it. Now, this is the Delver's Arcane Golem mount. This is actually a 100% drop chance from a sturdy chest in that delve. So, super
[02:13] chest and that mount will be yours. This is just an unused recolor of the seems like they've just kind of found a place for this model, which is kind of delves. Let's talk about the Delve Nemesis boss. So, this is in the delve
[02:28] called the Venomfull Deeps. This is located on the Coldwood Isle as well. And the boss here is Astric. Now, as mentioned, this does have question mark difficulty and question mark question mark with a bunch of brand new rewards.
[02:40] Defeating the boss on the normal mode will give you the Apothic Petagia 3D back piece. This is some very awesome looking red wing transmog. That's for difficulty. If you defeat it on the question mark question mark difficulty,
[02:54] title. And if you do it on your own, Astric achievement, which will reward which is this very awesome looking new golem mount, which is coming in 12.1.
[03:07] Now, once again, they are doing the Fabled Slayer, the sort of Hall of Fame for this boss. The achievement's called Fabled Let Me Solo Him Astric. Now, this has changed for season 2. Originally in season 1, it was the first 4,000, but in
[03:20] your own on question mark question mark difficulty within the first week of the season. So, the first week on the 18th or 19th, if you defeat the boss in that time, that will give you the Fabled achievement and the title the Fabled
[03:34] difficult, but it definitely gives people a lot more chance to get it than season. And obviously, with the brand new Nemesis, you can expect brand new Nemesis mobs inside all of the delves in
[03:47] season 2. Now, the older delves in Midnight are getting some love as well with some brand new Delve stories. So, Tool of the Man, Collegium Calamity, The Grudge Pit, Pahelium Plaza, Shadow Guard Point, The Dark Way, The Shadow Enclave,
[04:01] and The Twilight Crypts are all getting brand new Delve stories related to 12.1 with snake and venom scheming across it with Yeah, as I said, brand new stories, see them getting a bit of love, too. So, it feel a little bit more fresh going
[04:14] into them in season 2. Moving on to Valera. So, Valera's actually getting a bit of a power boost here. Her new max level is going to be level 80, you have 20 new levels to tackle in 12.1. And the big thing that she's going to be getting
[04:27] in 12.1 is poisons as she is a rogue. So, these are actually unlocked through a short quest line which starts from Valera in Silvermoon. And basically the buffs here will apply to Valera, but they also apply to you as they are
[04:39] poisons. So, she's kind of applying that poison to your weapons in Delves, which is pretty cool thematically. Of course, with every new season we do have a curio wipe happening uh with some brand new curios to collect, which are venom and
[04:51] coiled owl themed as well. So, generally speaking, the big things for Valera here are the new max level and the poisons. I did want to touch on this real quick cuz I'm sure people will be wondering about this. Uh so, gearing in Delves in season
[05:03] same as it is in season 1. The only difference here obviously is the item levels have been updated for season 2. So, no major changes to gearing in loot, you can still get your one piece of hero loot. And of course, the
[05:17] contributions to the Great Vault are still the same as well. So, no major don't fix it. Obviously in 12.1.5 we do have labyrinth Delves coming in, which Delves, but of course, we don't know too much about that right now, but maybe
[05:31] perhaps. I don't know. So, let's move on by taking a look at the Delver's Journey for season 2 of Midnight. No kind of major changes here, it's kind of what rewards that you can obtain. So, at renown one of the Delver's Journey, this
[05:45] course, you're probably very familiar with the system by now, getting that from Missave Curiosities and Heavy Trunks in Delves. Renown one will also unlock access to the Fortified Armani Awning Decor, which you can purchase for
[05:59] 250 Voidlight Mall. At Renown two, you'll be able to purchase six Corrosive Souls. Now, these are new items in 12.1, which are used in the Vault of the Tool Uteck to unlock buffs that you can use in outdoor content. So, yeah, getting
[06:12] actually a quite substantial amount. You'll also see these dropping in world you're probably going to end up with quite a few of these in 12.1. At Renown Sanctified Banner. This is actually the Shrine of Abundance. So, yeah, keep an
[06:27] eye out for kind of fake-looking trees or plants or things like that in your Banner. You'll also be able to purchase the Effigy of Dun Dun. And this toy essentially transforms you into Dun Dun for 30 minutes with a 1-hour cooldown.
[06:42] run along, which is pretty cute. At Renown four, this will unlock the Gilded Jackpot. So, this of course means that Mythcrest will start dropping four times a week in Tier 11 Delves. And we'll also be able to purchase the Zul'Aman Brazier
[06:55] Post for 250 At Renown five, you have a chance to get additional boons from Missave Curiosities. And starting week three of the season, Zar'an will start appearing at the end of Delves, offering champion
[07:07] gear. Again, a system we've seen quite a few times here. But also at Renown five, we are going to unlock the mount, and that is the Corroded Soul Crusher mount. Voidlight Mall, and is a new kind of snake-themed golem mount, uh which is
[07:20] pretty cool-looking. So, yeah, that is unlocked at Renown five. At Renown six, you can purchase two Restored Coffee Keys per week from the vendor. And we'll also be able to buy the Armani Territory Totem Decor for 250. At Renown seven,
[07:34] this is one of my favorite updates. They are actually updating the Delver Bot for Midnight. So, you'll be able to purchase the Midnight software update delves to it. Essentially, this toy lets you teleport straight to a bountiful
[07:48] yeah, really cool to see that toy coming in, which was originally added in the War Within. At renown eight, Champion warbound equipment will start dropping also be able to purchase the Ulatek
[08:01] ritual stone decor for 250 void light mall. At renown nine, we have from Champion to hero. So, this says tier 11 bountiful coffers will now have a chance to provide either a piece of hero equipment or an untainted mana crystal
[08:13] used to purchase powerful equipment from Zarcan. Tier eight, nine, and 10 bountiful coffers also rewards small quantities of the mana crystal. So again, another system we've seen quite a few times now. And finally, at renown
[08:25] 10, we have the title Snake Eater, which is fantastic. Great reference to Metal Gear Solid there, one of my favorite game series of all time. And the amount of coffee key shards earned from all sources is also increased at renown 10.
[08:39] some of the new rewards in season two. So, we have a couple of new achievements including getting all these sturdy chests and completing all of the new stories in those delves. There's also achievements for getting Valera to level
[08:52] 70 and level 80 respectively. There's also going to be some new items on Neladia Rivergleam in the delves headquarters. These include the delves corroded pouch of undercoins. So, this will give you 150 undercoin for one
[09:04] conversion there. As mentioned, you're probably going to end up with quite a lot of surplus corrosive souls. You can also purchase the scale-bound herald's flute for 5,000. This is the new nemesis beacon for delves. You can also purchase
[09:18] the Ophidian pedegia for 2,500. This is a purple and green wing 3D back piece transmog. You can also get the well-earned rest for 2,000, which is a gravestone cosmetic, which we've had a few of in Midnight. You'll also be able
[09:32] ensembles for 5,000 undercoin each, including the sprawling garb, which is the cloth set, the osseoclads wear, which is the leather set, the elder moss outfit for male, and the rampant thorn armor for plate. You'll also be able to
[09:48] purchase the arsenal rootlands weaponry for 5,000, which includes the delve core, there's a couple of new items on this vendor, including the zulaman creeping pangu root decor for 500, and the zulaman burning pine cone decor for
[10:03] 500 as well. Sticking with decor, there are some new decor drops from delves as well in 12.1, including the spirit touched armani mask and the zulaman swamp palm sprout. So, yeah, two new decor items for you to collect from
[10:17] delves, and that's it. That is delves in 12.1. That is delves in season 2. Nothing super major here in regards to massive changes, but it is really cool mentioned, I really enjoyed all of the stories of those new delves. I think
[10:30] they're super unique and just something different, you know, it's cool, for sure. And of course, the nemesis delve uh with all its rewards and its Simon interesting. So, yeah, guys, thank you very much for watching. Let me know your
[10:42] thoughts on delves in patch 12.1. And if you did like this video, please do leave channel if you haven't already. If you want to support me outside of YouTube, I'm also on Patreon, and I'm on Twitter @MrGMYT, and I have a partner discord
