Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’s Japan Run Is Ending - What’s Next?

[00:02] announced that the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movies Japan theatrical run is finally coming to a close next month. So, what does that mean from here on So, what does that mean from here on out?

[00:20] we're going to be discussing, once again, the Infinity Castle and some few weeks that I want to talk about. I am a Demon Slayer content creator, after all, so even when super small things happen, I'm probably going to turn on my

[00:34] camera and talk about it because I like to. And I do think this information is that I've been getting and that sort of thing, so I wanted to just sit down and make a quick video about it. Now, a quick disclaimer. So, first things

[00:47] about the second movie and when I think that's going to come out. I actually that's going to come out. I actually recently made video on that subject, and the information in that video does still stand. So, if you want to check that

[00:59] movie is going to come out, you can go ahead and check out the video here. But, things that are going to happen in the year 2026, so we are going to dive right like this video, subscribe the channel, and leave a comment your thoughts. If

[01:15] things Demon Slayer, and you want to know that you're actually getting information from the source being lied to for click bait, you definitely want to subscribe to my channel. So, a quick overview, just so y'all know, in case

[01:27] or you're new to my channel or to the Demon Slayer fandom in general, when it Demon Slayer fandom in general, when it comes to new announcements, you always go to the Kimetsu official X account, formerly Twitter account. That is going

[01:41] to be the only place where they say they're going to make an announcement, make announcements. This is going to be your source for all official information. If you find an announcement or something along those lines on any

[01:54] other social social platform, it is 99.9% likely to be false. And if it's coming from an account that is not in Japanese, it is 100% false. If they show

[02:06] the Kimetsu official account, or they link it, [music] or anything like that, like a random post that's like, "Demon Slayer is coming back in 2026", then take that with a grain of salt, do your research, make sure you're looking at

[02:21] the correct thing. Now, that very Kimetsu official X account did post on March 3rd. They called it the final preview for Demon Slayer Infinity know, throughout this theatrical run, they have been releasing a lot of

[02:35] been anything I've been reporting on because once I saw the movie, I didn't really need to talk about the new trailers because all of these are to really promote special things that they're doing, like special merch and

[02:48] that sort of thing that only applies to people in Japan. So, when it comes to my Demon Slayer content, most of my subscribers are not in Japan, nor am I. So, I don't really feel like it's necessary to talk about it. However,

[03:01] because it explicitly states that this is the final preview, which means this theatrical run is finally coming to an end. We don't know the exact date. However, in the trailer, it does say that their little Akaza pamphlet that

[03:15] they're releasing during this time, that promotion ends on April 9th. So, likely we can assume the theatrical run is going to end around April 9th, going to be a whopping nearly 9 months since [music] it came out in July of last

[03:29] argue whether I think that's normal or not. It is a Japanese production. For all we know, this might be super normal for them. We just don't know because we don't really pay attention to their movies that often. I think it's a really

[03:42] egregiously long time, but the movie coming to an end in theaters does mean that we can start to expect some movement on the Blu-ray and streaming releases. Now, everything else from here I'm going to talk about is just my

[03:56] prediction. I do base my predictions off of past facts, so I can try and give you the most educated guess possible, but since I am in the game of being what I'm saying from here is not

[04:09] absolute fact. It is just my prediction. I could be off by a month, 2 months, or a few months, and I'm not trying to say that I know exactly when this is going to come out. However, since the movie is coming to an end, the next step would be

[04:22] for them to release the Blu-ray. Now, very important to note, um it's going to release in Japan, and then there's going to be a delay before we get it. That is very common. So, let's go back to Mugen Train because that is the only other

[04:36] according to my research, the Mugen Train Blu-ray release in Japan was on Train Blu-ray release in Japan was on June 16th, 2021. The movie released in October of 2020. So, it was roughly 8 months after the first release of the

[04:52] movie that it came out on Blu-ray in Japan. Now, obviously that would mean released this month in order for it to follow the exact timeline of Mugen Train, but I do think that that leads me to believe that it's only going to be

[05:06] maybe a month or 2 before this Blu-ray is released in Japan. Now, here's where the bad news comes. It did not release in the US until December 21st of 2021. A

[05:19] whole What is that? 7 months later. Now, I think there's reason to believe it's not going to be that long of a delay this time considering the fact that this was during COVID, and there was probably a longer process to get everything

[05:31] localized for different countries and get the dub on there and all that stuff. We also have to note that the movie itself had a much shorter release theatrically. It came out in July in Japan and September here for Infinity

[05:46] Castle, but Mugen Train came out in October for Japan and did not come out until the following April here. So, just keep that in mind that things have changed since then. So, I do think there's good reason to believe that it's

[05:58] going to be a shorter delay. However, there will be a delay. That is perfectly normal when it comes to anything anime related. Of course, they're going to release it to a Japanese audience first, and then it has to go through different

[06:12] and all that stuff before it gets released here. Sony and Crunchyroll do that's another reason why I think it'll be shorter, but I still think there will be a delay. If I could give you an educated guess, I think we will get the

[06:27] Blu-ray sometime in the summer, maybe June or July. And let me tell you, I will be the first to tell you that it's coming once they announce it, and I will be the first in line to get it because usually the soundtrack is on the

[06:39] Blu-ray, and once I have access to the soundtrack of this movie, it will never stop playing. You will hear it playing in all of my videos because I will just not be able to shut it off. I mean, did we did we hear Marked Giyu's

[06:52] soundtrack? The piano and the organ, the way I felt it in my soul? Yeah, I'm listening to that. Interestingly enough, the official Kimetsu account announced that the Blu-ray for Mugen Train was coming out in June. On March 15th, I am

[07:06] coming out in June. On March 15th, I am recording this on March 14th, obviously recording this on March 14th, obviously 5 years later. So, you know, maybe maybe it's going to be later than that. Maybe Japan will get it in that July area, and

[07:20] really hard to put my finger on it because I do genuinely think the delays are going to be shorter once it's out, and I do believe Mugen Train had a much shorter theatrical release, which I can't find its exact run time for Mugen

[07:35] Train because everywhere I look just says it was in theaters until like 2023, which I know that's got to be incorrect. So, not quite sure what that means. Anyway, it still stands. I'm going to just put my prediction in as the Blu-ray

[07:50] in Japan will probably come out in May or so, and it'll come out here in July or so, and it'll come out here in July or August. But, keep in mind, I do think going to only have access to Blu-ray for a while, and then Crunchyroll is not

[08:06] going to get it streaming until a little bit later, and that is because the way definitely do what's going to make them the most money first, which they are a for-profit company, capitalism. I can't

[08:18] really blame them on capitalism. So, they're going to let these Blu-rays be on sale for a while so that they can make their money off of the Blu-rays, before it hits streaming because, of course, people are going to have less

[08:31] interest in the Blu-ray once it's on streaming because why not just watch it on streaming than pay the money to get Blu-ray. Not everyone is a crazy fan >> [laughter] >> who wants to own every possible way I

[08:45] can of this movie, but that's what I would expect. So, I would say Crunchyroll is probably going to get this movie end of this year. And I know that feels like such a long time to wait, but keep in mind that Mugen Train

[08:59] didn't come to streaming until it looks like October of 2021. So, you know, that's before the Blu-ray release, which is interesting. But, I'm going to stick by my I'm going to stick by my prediction that the Blu-ray will come

[09:13] out in like July, and then the streaming will come out a few months later than that. But again, these are just my predictions based off of the way they did things in the past, but also how things are different now. I think it's

[09:25] an educated guess at best, but I could be completely off. I do believe both Blu-ray and streaming will absolutely happen this year. There's no reason for it not to happen. That would be a really silly thing for them to do, honestly.

[09:39] that's going to start coming out within the next few months. Now, be aware, there are multiple events coming up. They are doing uh Anime Japan, which is at the end of March. There is Machi Asobi, which is in May. Both of these

[09:54] events are not an events where they make announcements. I've seen so many people information on the Blu-ray and that sort of thing." The Blu-ray announcement could be so small that they could make these announcements here and just be

[10:07] like, "Oh, the Blu-ray's coming, you know, next month or whatever." But, we're definitely not going to get information on movie two at these, so don't feel like that's going to happen. And I would say go into these events

[10:20] with the expectation that nothing is going to happen, especially Machi Asobi, because it is more being promoted as a concert, like they're going to have a live band doing the soundtrack, which is really awesome. I would go to that if I

[10:32] was going to be in Japan in May, but alas, I will not. I will be there in likely just going to be a little concert, while Anime Japan, who knows, maybe they'll say that the Blu-ray's coming out soon. They make small

[10:46] announcements there occasionally, but do not expect a new trailer or anything regarding movie two. And that is because, as I said in my other video, that I don't think it's coming into next year. Like, absolutely not. There's no

[11:01] way in my brain that makes sense for them to release that second movie know why, go ahead and watch that video. But, I think that's all I wanted to go over. So, yeah, Blu-ray and streaming should be coming soonish, within the

[11:15] next 6 months, I would assume, just because this movie is finally ending its theatrical release. And once that happens, they can start getting ready to sell Blu-ray and that sort of thing. We just have to expect a bit of a delay

[11:27] here in the states or other countries that aren't Japan, just because that is a common thing that's going to happen. So, what do you think? Do you think that we're going to get the Crunchyroll release before the Blu-ray or if that
