[00:00] Hey everyone, it's Xcarife here. In this

[00:03] video, I'm going to walk you through the

[00:05] complete and updated installation of my

[00:08] LVUI XCarlife UI profile. Since the last

[00:11] install guide, a lot has [music] changed

[00:13] with the midnight update. So, in this

[00:16] video, I'm going to replace all previous

[00:19] installation videos. But before we jump

[00:22] into the installation itself, there are

[00:24] two important [music] things that I

[00:26] would like to mention. First of all, my

[00:28] profile is designed with performance in

[00:31] mind without compromising functionality.

[00:34] Everything is bundled through a single

[00:37] installer which keeps your add-on setup

[00:39] clean and your game running smoothly.

[00:42] Secondly, the interface is primarily

[00:45] built for a [music] 1440p screen

[00:48] resolution. If you are playing on a

[00:50] lower resolution, that is absolutely

[00:53] fine. But some elements may appear

[00:56] slightly smaller and might need some

[00:58] minor adjustments. But as long as you

[01:00] follow this video from start to finish

[01:03] and don't skip any steps, everything

[01:05] should work without issues. With that

[01:08] out of the way, let's first go over the

[01:11] required add-ons. [music] These are

[01:13] essential and should not be skipped.

[01:16] Now, the core of the entire interface is

[01:18] LVUI. And on top of that, I use the

[01:21] details damage meter, which is still

[01:23] more powerful and flexible than the

[01:26] default Blizzard damage meters in

[01:28] retail. I also recommend Wine Tools,

[01:31] which adds some extra features that

[01:34] integrate seamlessly with LVY. Lastly,

[01:37] there is also Big Wix, which uh

[01:39] basically replaces your [music] Blizzard

[01:42] default boss warnings. Now, Big Wix is

[01:45] of course optional. So, if you prefer to

[01:48] use the default Blizzard warnings, you

[01:51] can simply skip this [music] add-on.

[01:53] Now, besides the required add-ons, there

[01:56] are also a few optional ones that I

[01:58] highly recommend if you want the

[02:00] interface to look exactly like mine. The

[02:03] Platinator name plates is a clean and

[02:06] fully customizable replacement for the

[02:09] default Blizzard [music] name plates.

[02:11] But keep in mind that when installing my

[02:13] profile, the built-in LVUI name plates

[02:16] are disabled by default. I also use the

[02:19] add-on called the cooldown manager

[02:22] centered, which allows me to track my

[02:24] cooldowns in a way that fits perfectly

[02:27] within the interface. And sensei clause

[02:30] resource bar works together with the

[02:33] cooldown manager and provides the

[02:36] resource bars. And finally, the mask

[02:39] together with mask gate adds a glossy

[02:42] finish to your action bars, buffs, and

[02:45] debuffs. With all of that covered, the

[02:48] first real step in the installation

[02:50] process is creating a backup of your WTF

[02:54] folder. This gives us a clean starting

[02:56] point and ensures none of your existing

[02:59] settings are lost in case [music]

[03:01] something goes wrong. Now, to do this,

[03:04] you have to open your bottle.net

[03:06] launcher. Click the cog wheel icon that

[03:09] you can find next to the play button and

[03:11] choose the option to show in explorer.

[03:14] For this example, I'm using the retail

[03:17] version. Now, inside the game folder,

[03:20] simply rename your current WTF folder to

[03:24] something like WTF old. And this way,

[03:27] your old settings are safely [music]

[03:29] stored. Next, we need to download the

[03:32] add-ons. You can do this through Curse

[03:34] Forge, Wow Up, or any other add-on

[03:37] manager that you prefer. And you will

[03:39] also find all the add-on links and

[03:41] import strings on my website, which is

[03:44] linked in the video description. Now, at

[03:47] this point, make sure that you download

[03:49] the core add-on, which is LVUI, along

[03:51] with details, damage meter, and wine

[03:54] tools. If you plan on using the optional

[03:57] add-ons, now is also the time to

[03:59] download platinator name plates bigwix

[04:03] cooldown manager centered sensei class

[04:06] resource bar mask and mask gate. Once

[04:10] the add-ons are downloaded, we can now

[04:13] install LVUI itself. In this video, I'm

[04:16] going to show you the manual

[04:18] installation methods, but you can also

[04:20] install LVY automatically through the

[04:23] Wow Up add-on manager if you prefer. So,

[04:26] go to the LVY website and download the

[04:29] zip file. Open up the zip file and then

[04:32] head back to your bottle.net launcher.

[04:35] Click the cog wheel icon next to the

[04:37] play button and choose to show in

[04:39] explorer and navigate to the interface

[04:42] folder followed by the add-ons folder

[04:44] and paste in the three LVUI folders

[04:47] directly into the add-ons folder. So now

[04:51] that we have everything installed,

[04:52] [music] it is time to launch the game.

[04:55] If you see an introduction window when

[04:57] you are logging in, that is completely

[04:59] normal and it simply means that you are

[05:02] using a fresh WTF folder. At the

[05:05] character selection screen, click the

[05:07] menu at the top and choose add-ons. Here

[05:09] it is important to disable all add-ons

[05:12] and only enable the ones that are needed

[05:15] for the setup. So make sure that

[05:17] cooldown manager centered mask all LVUI

[05:21] modules play donator bigwix details

[05:25] damage meter and the sensei class

[05:28] resource bar is enabled. Once you enter

[05:32] the [music] game world, you will see

[05:33] several add-on setup pop-ups. You can

[05:36] close all of them except for the LVUI

[05:39] setup. This setup is a one-time process

[05:42] and is especially important if this is

[05:45] your first time that you are installing

[05:47] LVUI. But before you continue with the

[05:50] LVUI setup, you have to click the

[05:52] Playtonator button as the add-on of

[05:55] preference for this setup. Your game

[05:57] will do a first reload and after the

[06:00] reload, it's time to set up your sears,

[06:03] which is also a required step and should

[06:06] not be skipped. Continue through the

[06:09] setup until you reach the UI scale

[06:12] option where I recommend using the

[06:15] autoscale feature. After that, you can

[06:17] continue through the remaining steps as

[06:20] they are not essential for this setup.

[06:22] When you click finished, the game will

[06:25] do a second reload. After the reloads,

[06:28] my Xcode UI LVY profile installer will

[06:32] appear. And this is also a one-time

[06:35] setup. Click continue to begin and start

[06:38] by importing the profile by clicking the

[06:41] button underneath the picture followed

[06:43] by the private profile in the third step

[06:46] of the setup. When you get a message to

[06:50] override your settings, simply click on

[06:52] accept and reload your game. You will

[06:55] then see the option to install my

[06:57] details damage meter profile if you

[06:59] would like to use it. The omni CD step

[07:02] can be skipped in retail as this is only

[07:05] relevant for classic. Next, click

[07:08] [music] the setup wine tools button to

[07:10] install that profile as well. After

[07:13] that, you will see the Big Wix setup

[07:15] step which installs [music] my Big Wix

[07:18] profile if you are using the add-on.

[07:20] Once that is done, click finished and

[07:22] the game will reload one last time. At

[07:25] this point, most of the interface is

[07:28] already fully configured, but there are

[07:30] a few optional steps left to fine-tune

[07:33] everything. [music]

[07:34] The first one is importing the Blizzard

[07:36] edit mode layout. This step is important

[07:39] if you want the cooldown manager and the

[07:42] sensei class resource bar to line up

[07:45] exactly the way as I have them set up.

[07:48] So, head over to my website, copy the

[07:51] Blizzard edit mode import string,

[07:54] [music] then go back in game, hit

[07:56] escape, open the edit mode, and click

[07:58] [music] the drop-down menu at the top

[08:01] and choose import. Paste in the import

[08:04] string and give the layout a name such

[08:06] as Xcar Live UI, and make sure that it

[08:09] is selected as your active layout. Now,

[08:13] we can move on to the cooldown related

[08:16] profiles. First, we will import the

[08:18] cooldown manager centered profile.

[08:21] Therefore, head back to my website and

[08:24] copy the import string. Then, in game,

[08:26] press escape, open the add-ons menu, and

[08:30] from there, open the cooldown manager

[08:32] centered. Go to profiles and import the

[08:36] profile. Give it a proper name and click

[08:39] import. Once it is imported, your game

[08:41] will ask you to reload and the cooldown

[08:44] profile should be imported. After that,

[08:47] we will do the same for the sensei class

[08:50] resource bar. Again, copy the import

[08:53] string from my website. Then [music] go

[08:56] back in game, open the add-ons menu, and

[08:58] select the sensei class resource bar and

[09:02] import [music]

[09:02] the profile. Once both of the profiles

[09:05] are imported, you should see that the

[09:08] cooldown manager and the resource bars

[09:11] align nicely with the player and the

[09:13] target frames. To make sure that the

[09:16] cooldowns are displayed in the correct

[09:19] order, I use the profiles that are

[09:21] created by Luxtos. [music]

[09:23] Of course, full credit goes to him as he

[09:26] is a trusted source for these setups. On

[09:29] my website, you can also find a link to

[09:32] his cooldown manager profiles. From his

[09:35] website, you can simply choose your

[09:37] class, copy the import string, [music]

[09:39] then in game, open the Blizzard cooldown

[09:42] manager options, open the drop-down

[09:45] menu, and click import. [music]

[09:47] Paste the string. Give the profile a

[09:50] clear name such as blood decay in my

[09:52] example, and make sure that the profile

[09:55] is selected as your main profile. Upon

[09:58] doing so, it will completely reorder

[10:01] your spells in the right order based on

[10:04] the importance. Before we continue,

[10:07] there is one quick but important tip

[10:09] that I would like to make. Make sure

[10:12] that your Blizzard settings for the

[10:14] tracked buffs essential cooldowns and

[10:17] your utility cooldowns match what you

[10:20] see on screen. If these settings are not

[10:24] configured correctly, parts of your

[10:26] setup may not work as [music] intended.

[10:29] For this step, I do recommend pausing

[10:31] the video and copy the settings shown

[10:35] just to make sure that everything is set

[10:37] up correctly. Next, let's take care of

[10:40] the name plates. Head back to my website

[10:42] and click the download button, which

[10:45] will then redirect you to the wag.io IO

[10:48] platoninator [music]

[10:49] profile that is created by Jundy's. I

[10:53] have been using his name plates for a

[10:55] very long time and they're [music] also

[10:57] very clean matching my setup. So full

[11:01] credit go to Jundies for these name

[11:03] plates in game. Go to your platinator

[11:06] options [music] via the normal menu or

[11:09] by typing forward/playy in your chat

[11:12] window. Click import and paste in the

[11:15] profile string and choose the option to

[11:17] [music] make a new profile. Give it a

[11:20] proper name. In this case, I'm going to

[11:22] call it jundies. And then we have

[11:25] arrived at the final step, which is

[11:27] adding the glossy effect to your action

[11:30] bars using mask. Type forward/mask in

[11:34] your chat window. Click the LVY section

[11:37] and select the Kate skin from the

[11:40] drop-down menu and make sure that the

[11:43] gloss option is enabled, which will

[11:45] apply the effect to your action bars. At

[11:48] this point, your Xcar life UI setup

[11:51] should be complete and fully configured.

[11:54] If you run into any issues or have

[11:56] questions, please feel free to join my

[11:59] Discord server and I will be happy to

[12:02] help you out. If you prefer installing

[12:04] the profiles manually without using the

[12:08] installer, all import strings are also

[12:11] available on my website for advanced

[12:13] users, of course, completely for free.

[12:16] And that's it, my friends. If you found

[12:18] this guide helpful, feel free to give it

[12:21] a thumbs up. Don't forget to subscribe
