Monique shares her personal journey from financial struggle to retiring in her 30s, emphasizing that the problems you overcome can become your first profitable product. She provides a step-by-step guide to turning personal experience into a digital product using AI tools like ChatGPT and Canva, and building a website with Hostinger to sell it.
Monique went from being a nurse with six-figure student debt and a 500 credit score to making over six figures monthly and retiring in her 30s. She attributes this to leveraging her experiences, not luck.
The problem you face can be the exact answer you need to change your money. Monique's weight loss struggle became her first product, and her credit repair journey became another.
Identify one thing that used to stress you out but you've overcome. Write it down, then circle one thing that you can explain simply. This becomes your lane.
Use ChatGPT to turn your personal experience into a simple framework. Prompt it to ask clarifying questions and organize into steps, stages, and systems.
Don't create a huge course or 200-page book. Your first product should be small, clear, and useful: a guide, checklist, playbook, template, short challenge, or roadmap.
Enter a detailed prompt with your story, before/after, achievements, and biggest lesson. Ask for a page-by-page guide with titles, examples, and steps.
Use Canva to turn the content into a professional-looking PDF. Search for a simple guide or ebook template, customize it, and paste your content. The power is in the content, not the design.
Avoid relying solely on marketplaces like Etsy or Gumroad because fees eat profits. Instead, build your own website to keep 100% of the profit. Monique recommends Hostinger.
Use Hostinger's AI website builder. Enter your business name, description, and aesthetic. It automatically creates a clean site with product sections and placeholders.
Upload your cover image and let AI pull details like title, description, and price. Upload the PDF, set download link duration, and save. Your product is live.
Connect Stripe to accept various payments (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, etc.) and add PayPal as well, as it often generates more sales.
Show up where people are already looking, like Google search results. Use social media to share advice and build trust, not to be salesy. Share your story to draw people in.
You don't need permission to start; you already have the experience. Start small, use AI to help, and build your own platform to keep the profits. The key is to just start and share your story.

13:26[00:01] nurse to getting laid off, having over six figures in student loan debt with a 500 credit score, and almost losing the house that we were building, to now making over six figures every single month and retiring in my 30s. And I can
[00:16] luck. I did not magically wake up one day with some kind of genius idea. I didn't have a perfect plan. In fact, what I learned they don't even teach you in school. And if we got to give it a name, I'll call this the experience to
[00:29] their life trying to escape their problems. I'm talking about avoid it, numb it, forget it, or even eat them away. And believe me, I understand because sometimes life be turning me every which way but loose. But one thing
[00:43] I learned is that the problem is not just the problem. Sometimes the problem can be the exact answer you need to change your money. And I'm sure you are probably wondering, "Monique, what in the world are you talking about?" Let me
[00:56] explain. For most of my adult life, I struggled with my weight. I'll [music] start a weight loss program on Monday, by Wednesday I am questioning my entire [music] existence, and I'm in McDonald's line crying by Friday. I failed over and
[01:10] over and over again until eventually I figured something out. [music] And once I got results, I decided to share it online. And I didn't share this online because someone asked me to, but it was because I realized something important,
[01:23] through this. The thing that felt like my biggest problem ended [music] up being my first product. And then guess what? It happened again. But this time it was with my credit, and I was sitting in the low 500s. I'm talking about the
[01:37] apply for something, they ask you first, you have a prayer warrior? But like most of us, I didn't learn anything about me a credit card at 18 or 19 and said, "Good luck." So I definitely made my
[01:51] mistakes. [music] I didn't know anything about the system, but eventually I fixed it. And now today I'm sitting the 800s. And people didn't just watch, they theory, I was teaching from my experience. But again, like I did
[02:05] before, I ended up sharing what I did online and it did not just help people, it actually paid me. I made [music] $3,000 in my first 11 days and that was thinking, "Monique, that's you though. I don't have nothing to teach nobody. Who
[02:20] would even listen to me?" And I need you to hear me when I say this, people are not just out here looking for experts with fancy degrees. They are looking for real people who understand the struggle and found a way out. You don't need to
[02:32] be 10 steps ahead, you just need to be one chapter ahead of someone who is still stuck on a page that you already turned. So, let's go inside because it's a little windy out here and I'm about to show you how to find your experience to
[02:44] income lane. So, the first thing we are going to do is grab that phone or your laptop and go ahead and open up your notes app or a blank Google Doc and this is the first question I need you to answer. What is one thing in my life
[02:58] that used to stress me out, overwhelm, confuse me, but I don't deal with that anymore because I figured it out, overcame it. And I want to be really does not have to be a traumatic experience. There are people who teach
[03:11] about money not because they were broke, but because numbers just come easily to people who teach things from lessons they learned the hard way, like moi. So, once you take a second to write out
[03:24] that list and you have it, the next thing you need to do is circle one thing. Did you hear what I said? One thing, not everything. And it don't need list, just the one that keeps coming back to you. Something that you can
[03:38] explain whether you had notes or not. This is what your lane is and I wanted to spend a little time there because this is the most important thing that anything else. And this is the thing that we are going to build a system
[03:50] around, not a long explanation, not your entire [music] life story, just a simple path that someone else can follow. So, now that we have that, we can step [music] into the next thing that is easier than it has ever been before.
[04:03] Unlike me, you don't have to do this all by yourself. Why? Because AI is out here here what we'll do is head over to ChatGPT and it is absolutely free to know, I want to keep it real with you
[04:18] something like "I want you to help me turn my personal experience with" and you can insert your thing here. My I'll say weight loss into a simple framework that a beginner could follow and get results. Ask me clarifying questions if
[04:33] needed, then organize it into steps. [music] And then what it does is ask you questions to personalize your experience, basically pulling that story out of you and you can get [music] as detailed as you want to with it. What it
[04:45] will do at that point is take everything you lived through and it'll turn it into steps, into stages, into system, into processes. Now, let me stop you for a because this is where people
[04:58] overcomplicate things and we don't want this to be you. You do not need a huge course, you do not need to create a 200-page book, you don't have to go out here and jump on the camera every single day, you don't have to create a $997
[05:11] program. Your first product needs to be small, clear, but useful. Something people can actually use today right now. >> [music] >> Think of things like guides, a checklist, a playbook, a template. You
[05:25] can do a short challenge or a road map. And if you need help figuring that out, again, where we going? To my good friend ChatGPT. And we can say something like, "Friend, based on this framework, what are the best beginner-friendly digital
[05:38] products I could create that [music] solve one specific problem?" And it will help you to decide. Again, it's not as hard as it used to be. So, today I'm how to create something I have already done, [music] which is a simple
[05:53] checklist. And I am entering a very long prompt right here into [music] ChatGPT. And I'll also paste this down in the description for you. But I'm pretty much entering my story, the before, after, what I achieved, my biggest lesson, and
[06:07] what I achieved, my biggest lesson, and I'm asking for a page-by-page guide with titles, examples, and steps [music] and sections for me to personalize it. And I because sometimes people get nervous with AI. You are not just letting AI
[06:21] You are just letting it help you to translate your experience into something usable for others. So, once we enter this, then ChatGPT gives us a complete is take this >> [music]
[06:35] >> and turn it into something that people can download. And again, I need you to have to have design skills or try to create a $10,000 brand product. We just need it to be clean, readable, and look professional. And this right here is
[06:49] where our good friend Canva is going to come in. And all I'm doing now is opening up Canva, and you can search for something like a simple guide or ebook template. And all you'll do is hit customize, and then you will take the
[07:02] content that ChatGPT gave you and paste it into this template page by page. Now, this part you can keep as basic as you want to or make it as fancy as you want to. You know, Monique is a little extra, so I do a little bit more sometimes. So,
[07:18] this is what I created. And basically, you're able to add sections, you can add your story, you can personalize it, you can put your face on it, and all you'll do is just upload your photo into Canva to do that and drag and drop it right
[07:32] onto this template. And again, just adding all that information to it. But one thing I do want to let you know is people are not going to buy the guide sitting here like, oh my goodness, they chose Ariel instead of Times New Roman.
[07:46] They are buying this because it solves a problem and because it helps them to there getting stuck on colors and fonts. The power is in the content, not in the Canva design. So, at this point you have a real product, you have a real PDF, and
[08:02] I'm about to stop you from having a real problem. So, most people will be taught problem. So, most people will be taught to sell on marketplaces, Etsy, Gumroad, Amazon, and that's because it feels [music] easier. How do I know this?
[08:15] and I've done it myself. But, what people don't understand is how expensive easy is. So, let's say that you are selling a $10 digital product on one of these platforms, [music] and then they take their cut. Then there's also
[08:28] transaction fees, listing fees, just because fees. After all of those fees, you'll be lucky if you get just $1 in profit. You did all the work, you created the product, you brought the traffic, and now the platform gets rich.
[08:42] or form saying those platforms are bad. I definitely recommend that yes, you still use those as well, but that should not be your main source. This is why owning your own platform matters. And
[08:55] that's why I also love to partner with Hostinger. With them, you are able to create a full website in a minute. [music] And if you get the business plan, you get to keep 100% of the profit. And you'll also get access to
[09:08] other e-commerce features that will generate more income for you. Now, I personally use the 48-month plan because it gives you a few free months plus a free domain. And if you use my code JWTH, you will get an additional 10%
[09:22] off. And in case you're a little iffy and hesitant, do not worry because they have a 30-day money-back guarantee. So, can we say risk-free? And from here, it is only going to ask not one, but two questions. The first is, what is your
[09:35] Hintons, and then it asked to give a about. And to sum it up, I'm basically saying it's a digital wellness brand. I'm using weight loss tools. I'm sharing my personal weight loss journey of how I
[09:49] lost over 130 lb in less than a year, by the way. And then [music] the aesthetic that I want, clean, modern. The brand is designed to feel encouraging, not intimidating. The website should have an online store to sell my digital weight
[10:03] loss products. That's important. Make sure you mention it. And the tone should feel supportive, real, and motivating. And then we'll just select create website. And in just a few seconds, it is done. Hostinger automatically built a
[10:16] clean site with product sections. There is a shop layout. There are even placeholders that are already in place. And from here, all we'll have to do is select continue so that we can now add our first product to it. And of course,
[10:31] it's a digital product. And we are going to let AI do the work here as well, because why work when we can let it do it? And all we'll have to do is upload our cover image. And from that image, it will pull all the details that you need.
[10:44] It's going to give it a title, subtitle, description. [music] It even sets a price. You don't have to keep that price as is, because this is a digital download. So I would lower that just a little bit. And all I'll have to do now
[10:56] is just upload the actual PDF. And then I can choose how long the download link and hit save. And just like this, the very first product that we just created is now live. We have taken our experience [music] and turned it into a
[11:10] income generating a revenue stream. So what I would do from here, of course, is go and do a little spring cleaning and remove some of those placeholder products that they had there. Why? Because we are not selling any of those.
[11:24] And after that, this is your official website, your platform, your store. Now, of course, I know that one thing you want to do is not just create cute sites So, this next step matters. >> [music]
[11:37] I would suggest going ahead and connecting Stripe so that you can accept online payments from Discover, Amex, Mastercard, Visa, Apple Pay, Google Pay,
[11:49] any pay they want to pay, we want to accept it all. And I always add PayPal as well because you'd be surprised but most of the digital products I have sold, I have actually gotten more PayPal payments than any of the other ones. So,
[12:04] once that is connected, you are officially ready. But I'm trying to list and I know the next one you are going to land on is, "Okay, how do I actually get this product before people so that I can get them to buy it?" Most
[12:18] showing up where people are already looking. People are already on Google like lose weight or how to stay consistent. And when you have a product
[12:30] your website, then it can show up in search results. But when you are a person that just created a website, will you be some of the top search results that people come across? Honestly, no. So, that's when you do want to tag team
[12:44] social media but not in a way that most people think. You do not need to be on I said. [music] You just need to be able to give people advice that they are looking for. You can share your story. You want to try to
[12:58] build trust with people [music] because how can I believe that you can teach me something if I don't see the results of you overcoming it or you always think of it like this. You don't want to be a salesy type [music] person.
[13:12] me although you want to sell it. You want to share and show and that's going to draw people in so that you get those sales. [music] Because one thing people will do when they relate is click. But that is it, y'all. That [music] is what
[13:26] the shift is. And listen, you do not need permission to do this. You do not need to wait until [music] you feel ready. You already lived the lesson. you feel like this is something that is pulling on you, just do it. You can
[13:40] chaos if you need to. But, the main thing you need to do is just start. And me what you built. Other than that, I hope that this helps you out and I thank you so much for watching. [music] I believe in you and I know you can do it.
[13:53] Until next time. Now go be great.
