AI Summary

In this tutorial, Justin shows how to combine Google AI Studio, Semrush, and Hostinger to build a free AI-powered quiz that recommends products and earns affiliate commissions. The strategy targets high-purchase-intent prompts in Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, and Gemini, letting you appear as a source with zero competition. By the end, you have a repeatable system to create quizzes for any niche and scale into a one-person online business.

[00:02]
Core method

Create a free AI-powered quiz with Google AI Studio that asks customers about their product needs, then links them to Amazon via your affiliate link so you earn commissions on each purchase.

[01:07]
Start with Google AI Studio

Sign up to Google AI Studio and click 'Build' to begin creating the quiz app that will drive affiliate sales.

[01:35]
Use Semrush Prompt Research

In Semrush, click the AI icon, then 'Prompt Research'. Type a product category like 'laptops' and hit Analyze to see real prompts people type into ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Mode.

[02:17]
Massive search volumes

In the US, prompts like 'Apple MacBook laptops' are searched over 1.6 million times per month, and 'gaming laptops' nearly 500,000 times — proving AI search is a huge traffic source.

[03:22]
Commercial and transactional intent

Hovering over the intent icon shows over 42% of gaming laptop prompts have commercial intent and over 12% have transactional intent, meaning users are ready to buy.

[03:37]
Appearing as an AI search source

Prompts like 'laptops that you can play games on' currently serve over 40 sources in Google AI Mode. The goal is to become one of those sources to capture buyer traffic.

[05:44]
Quiz advantage over articles

A quiz asks pre-qualifying questions, removes the customer's research burden, and sends them directly to the exact product — massively increasing conversions compared to a standard blog article.

[07:14]
Target zero-source prompts

Sort prompts by 'sources' ascending to find high-intent, low-competition prompts like 'Amazon best gaming laptop' that currently have zero sources listed — so your quiz can become the lone recommendation.

[09:34]
Build the quiz prompt

In Google AI Studio, use the prompt: 'Create a quiz that helps online shoppers searching for best gaming laptops on Amazon choose and purchase the best product that suits their needs.' Customize the target keyword, product, and store.

[12:17]
Insert affiliate links

Replace each 'insert your affiliate link here' in the generated list with your actual Amazon affiliate link (obtained via the 'Get Link' button on the product page), then send it back to Google AI Studio to hardwire the buy buttons.

[15:04]
Download the quiz code

After testing the quiz, download the code from Google AI Studio. Open the file locally, and later upload it to tiiny.host to get a shareable link.

[16:59]
Create supporting content with Semrush

Use Semrush's Content Toolkit to generate a high-opportunity article for your target prompt. Edit it to remove direct product recommendations and instead push readers to take the quiz.

[17:55]
Build a website with Hostinger

Use Hostinger's AI website builder to create a homepage that hosts all your quizzes. The premium plan costs under $2/month, and the business plan lets you build 50 websites for about $1 more.

[24:06]
Scale to a one-person business

Repeat the process for sub-niches like student laptops or budget laptops, and even other niches like exercise equipment or office gear. Each quiz targets a different zero-source prompt, building a portfolio of affiliate funnels.

[00:02] with Google AI Studio by getting an affiliate link for a high-paying affiliate product like this laptop right here and seeing exactly the type of prompts that online shoppers are searching for on tools like Google

[00:16] Gemini and ChatGPT who are likely to want to purchase that laptop. And by using Google AI Studio, we can create a completely free app just like this asking that customer a few questions as to the type of laptop they want to

[00:30] purchase. And every single time they click onto our affiliate link and purchase that laptop, we'll get paid an affiliate marketing commission. This video is for anybody who's looking to set up a one-person business who wants

[00:43] to start earning affiliate marketing commissions consistently every single month. And all I ask of you before I show you exactly how to set this up, which is now suddenly possible with Google AI Studio, is that you smash that

[00:55] like button and subscribe to the channel. My name's Justin. Let's get into it. Step one is to get signed up to Google AI Studio, which you can do up, you simply want to click onto where

[01:07] it says build right here to start building an app that we can use to start driving sales to a high-ticket product just like this. And every single time a purchase is made for this laptop right here, for example, we can earn a cut or

[01:21] a percentage of that purchase price, otherwise known as an affiliate start driving those sales and earning those affiliate marketing commissions, we need to first identify a large audience who are specifically searching

[01:35] online with the intention of purchasing a laptop just like this. That is where Semrush comes in. And I'll leave a link to Semrush in the video description. And once you're signed up to Semrush, if you click onto the AI icon on the left-hand

[01:49] side and then click onto where it says prompt research, you can type into this text box right here the exact type of product that you want to start earning affiliate marketing commissions I'll type in laptops and I'll simply hit

[02:02] analyze. And here is where we'll get complete visibility over the exact type of prompts that people are typing in on tools like ChatGPT, Google's AI mode, Google Gemini. And if I select the US over here, for example, we can see

[02:17] people are typing in all types of prompts related to topics like Apple MacBook laptops over 1.6 million times every single month, gaming laptops almost 500,000 times per month. And this

[02:30] part is absolutely key for us to actually make money with this method. What you want to do, guys, is identify as many commercial and transactional prompts that people are typing in every single month. As you can see, people,

[02:44] almost 50%, are typing in informational prompts, right? They just want more info with regards to the type of prompts and questions they're typing in. But commercial and transactional prompts means that they are performing those

[02:57] prompts with the intention of actually wanting to purchase the product that they are typing in to those prompt boxes. So, if I scroll down and if I go over to where it says gaming laptops, I click onto this drop-down right here.

[03:10] Here you can see the exact prompts that people are searching for. And you can see that over half of them are doing so with the intention of actually wanting to make a purchase after typing in those prompts. The reason I know that, guys,

[03:22] if you click onto or hover over this icon over here, we can see that over 42% are being performed with commercial intent and over 12% with transactional intent. These people typing in these prompts are ready to make a purchase.

[03:37] For example, people typing in laptops that you can play games on on Google's that you can play games on on Google's AI mode are being served with over 40 sources that they will then go on to click onto and make a purchase via those

[03:51] sources. So, for us to actually appear as one of those sources and to start making those affiliate marketing commissions, let me give you an example of how people are currently doing it and how we can do it in a much better way to

[04:03] make even more in affiliate commissions. So, if I click onto where it says 40 over here, here on the right-hand side, we can see the exact sources that they will be served with, over 40. Now, the way this looks in practice, guys, is if

[04:17] you use Google AI mode, which we know increasingly people are doing, which we can see with that huge search volume, those sources will appear on the right-hand side. Now, these sources won't match exactly with the sources

[04:30] that's simply because I'm based in Australia, guys. I filtered down by the US as we saw earlier. But if I click onto any one of these sources, which click onto this one over here, for

[04:43] this blog article right here for the five best gaming laptops of 2026, which is kind of exactly what somebody who is typing in laptops that you can play games on would be interested in reading. And when they read that article and they

[04:59] browse the different types of gaming laptops being recommended here, they will see there is a call to action to search on Amazon. If I click onto where it says search, I'll then be taken directly over to Amazon with that exact

[05:13] laptop name being pre-populated in the search bar. Now, I'm taken over to Amazon via their affiliate link, which means if we were to purchase as one of those customers this laptop right here, for example, the creator of this article

[05:29] commission. However, the problem here, guys, is the potential customer would need to go into every single one of these listings. They'd need to see things like is the display size for this laptop large enough? Is the RAM large

[05:44] enough? Do these specifications or requirements for this exact laptop match exactly the type of laptop that I want to purchase? But with a quiz like this, which asks them pre-qualifying questions up front as to the exact type of

[05:59] requirements for their laptop, we're able to completely remove that burden from the potential customer of performing that research up front offering them a frictionless experience massively increasing the amount of those

[06:14] conversions that we can generate. And when they click onto our recommended laptop, we don't take them to the Amazon search bar where they can browse those laptops themselves, we're able to point them directly to the exact type of

[06:28] laptop that they are interested in maximizing those conversions significantly. So, I'm going to go back over to Semrush. And what I will say, guys, in this particular example for laptops that you can play games on, as

[06:43] mentioned, we can see that there are 40 sources already being recommended. So, what we won't do is we won't create a quiz that targets these exact keywords or prompt terms that people are typing in onto Google's AI mode. Instead, what

[06:59] you want to do to make sure that your quiz actually generates traffic to it and maximizes the amount of that traffic that you convert into buying customers is to target prompts where there is a number of sources closer to zero. So, to

[07:14] identify those low-competition prompts, I will simply double-click onto where it says sources to sort by the number of sources ascending. And you'll see all of these prompts that online shoppers are searching for with clear commercial and

[07:27] transactional intent. Let's take a look at a few and let's decide which of these then going to show you how we can not only create our quiz, but place it directly in front as a source when anybody types in one of these prompts.

[07:42] So, people are typing in slimmest gaming laptop, all right, makes sense. Touchscreen gaming laptop. But one that really stands out to me and one that I think can really help to maximize the amount of purchases that we can drive

[07:57] specifically via our affiliate link for a laptop on Amazon, for example, is this one right here. People are literally typing in the prompt Amazon best gaming laptop, meaning they are comfortable with Amazon as a platform where they can

[08:12] make a purchase and they are specifically looking to purchase a gaming laptop from Amazon. And if you're getting value from this video so far, subscribe to the channel if you're new here, cuz what I'm going to show you

[08:25] right now, step by step, is exactly how to create a completely free quiz, an app with Google AI Studio, that we can start driving traffic to from those typing in

[08:37] this prompt right here, Amazon best gaming laptop, with high purchase intent so we can start driving that traffic to our listings on Amazon maximizing the amount of those affiliate commissions that we can generate. And what I love

[08:50] about Semrush one, which is the feature that we're using in Semrush to access this prompt research feature, guys, is all of these searches that people are clearly performing with high purchase intent still have low competition,

[09:05] meaning all of these sources are listed as zero. This is literally built for the modern era of search, guys, where we can literally get access, again, to the exact type of prompts that people are searching for on tools like ChatGPT,

[09:20] like Google's AI mode. And what we can also do is create content to correspond with those exact prompts so that we capture that traffic and drive those affiliate commissions. Before I show you exactly how we can do that, we're going

[09:34] to head back over to Google AI Studio. And again, making sure that you've clicked onto where it says build on the left-hand side. And we will start off with a prompt that says, "Create a quiz that helps online shoppers searching for

[09:46] best gaming laptops on Amazon choose and purchase the best product that suits their needs." Now, to make this work, in addition to that initial part of the prompt, you need to give Google AI Studio some additional instructions,

[09:59] which does make your prompt much bigger, but fear not, guys. I've left that complete prompt right underneath the subscribe button in this video, in the YouTube video description, and all you need to change is See where it's

[10:12] highlighted green over here, for example, for this first part, where it says best gaming laptops on Amazon, you will replace that part right there with the prompt that you are targeting, that you've identified in Semrush one, in

[10:26] that prompt research feature. The same goes for this part at the bottom over here, where it says best gaming laptops, you can replace that for best another affiliate product, and you can also replace amazon.com with the website the

[10:40] product is being sold on. And for other affiliate products that you could use for this exact strategy, I've also left a link to a guide in the video description beneath the link to this prompt, outlining a list of other

[10:54] affiliate products and programs that you can use to promote for this exact strategy. So, I'm going to do is head back over to Google AI Studio, and I'll So, your app will now be built, and you first need to test it to make sure

[11:08] customer's standpoint. So, the first thing they'll see is find your perfect gaming laptop, answer four quick questions, and our algorithm will match you with the exact laptop you need from Amazon. So far, so good. So, I'll click

[11:22] onto where it says start the quiz. Now, let's say that I am a hardcore gamer. I'll click onto hardcore gaming on ultra settings. That is my primary goal for the laptop, and you then want to specify your budget as the customer. This is

[11:36] perfect, guys. What I'm going to do is click onto between 1,500 and 2,000. I click onto between 1,500 and 2,000. I prefer a screen size of 16 to 17 inch, and when it comes to battery life, average battery life is fine. It will

[11:50] then analyze my answers, and recommend me the exact type of laptop am after, which in this case is best for hardcore gaming on ultra settings. It is the gaming on ultra settings. It is the Alienware M16, going for over $1,800.

[12:05] So, I'll click onto where it says buy on Amazon, and we can see that first link is working because I am taken over directly to that exact listing. It is directly to that exact listing. It is the Alienware M16, going for just over

[12:17] $1,800. And you'll notice if I scroll up, I can click onto where it says get link over here to retrieve the affiliate link for this listing, which I can very easily copy. And what you want to do, once

[12:30] you've tested your quiz by going through each and every one of the recommendations that it provides, making sure that everything stacks up, if you look on the left-hand side after typing in that prompt that I provided you, you

[12:44] will see it will say something like please copy this list, and replace where it says insert your affiliate link here. If we look at the list it has provided us, guys, it's given us a list of every single laptop that the customer may be

[12:57] presented with based on the questions that they ask in this app. So, for example, here is the link to a budget gaming laptop right here. Here, for gaming laptop right here. Here, for example, is the best mainstream gaming /

[13:10] eSports gaming laptop, such as this one that you can see right here. And where it says buy on Amazon, the default link that it has placed on that call to action, guys, is just a standard Amazon link. What we need to do is to make sure

[13:25] that it links to that product listing via our affiliate link, so we can start earning those affiliate commissions. And if you look at this list underneath where it says standard link for each one of these listed items, it also says

[13:38] affiliate link insert your affiliate link here. So, what we now need to do is to copy this list, and replace insert your affiliate link here with our actual affiliate link. And the way that you do that is super easy, guys. Click onto any

[13:53] one of the provided standard links for any one of these laptops right here, such as this one for the Alienware M16. And at the top of the page, I'll click onto where it says get link to copy over my Amazon affiliate link, which you can

[14:06] to the Amazon affiliate program. I'll leave a link to the Amazon affiliate program in the video description. If you're not already signed up, literally signed up, you will get access to this bar at the top where you can copy over

[14:20] the affiliate link for any Amazon product. What you then want to do is to go back over to Google AI Studio, and simply copy over this entire list, paste it into the chat box, and simply paste in the affiliate link for each one of

[14:36] those products. And as Google AI Studio has told us, guys, it says once you apply with your affiliate links filled in, I will immediately update the code, so the massive buy on Amazon call to action buttons are hardwired directly to

[14:52] your affiliate link, which is exactly what we want. So, I'll simply hit send, and your affiliate links will now be inserted onto this call to actions for your product recommendations. Of course, guys, do make sure that you test it out

[15:04] with your quiz. Any issues that you face with your quiz whatsoever, Google AI Studio is really good at rectifying them very quickly. You can simply type into the chat box exactly what the issue is, exactly what you want fixed, and it

[15:18] quickly. So, once you've tested everything out, you are happy with your quiz, on the left-hand side, you should see some code that it has now provided simply want to download that code, which is essentially your quiz. Once you've

[15:33] downloaded it, you can simply open up that file, and you should see your quiz. And once you have your quiz, you can start driving buyer traffic to it by appearing as a lone source for these prompts that we know people are typing

[15:46] in with high purchase intent, as we saw already, Amazon best gaming laptop zero sources, but you don't want to end there. You can create a huge amount of quizzes to set this up as a one-person business, and list them on a site just

[16:01] like this, for example. Not only gaming laptops, take this quiz, also quizzes for student laptops, budget laptops. The list is absolutely endless, as long as you can identify prompts that people are searching for with high purchase intent

[16:16] that still have low competition for each one of these laptop niches. For example, budget laptops, if I go back over to Semrush's prompt research feature, we can see with low competition, zero sources referenced, people are searching

[16:30] for best rated laptops for under $500. For student laptops, people are searching for, for example, lightweight and student-friendly laptops, still with zero sources. So, to piece all of this together, we have our quiz, which we

[16:44] need to host onto a site like this, so we can start driving traffic to that site that can appear as a source whenever anybody types in any one of these prompts. And by utilizing an incredible feature with Semrush called

[16:59] Content Toolkit, we can start doing exactly that. I'll leave a link to the Content Toolkit also in the video description. What it essentially allows you to do is to create some accompanying content alongside your quiz to start

[17:13] appearing as a source when those prompts are searched for. And to very easily start creating that content, over where it says Amazon best gaming laptop, for example, if I simply hover over this icon right here, and click onto where it

[17:26] says create content, to generate what's known as a high opportunity article to start getting visibility when those prompts are searched for. Now, in this particular example, what I'm going to do is to change the word count initially

[17:40] from 1,000 to 500, and where it says AI-generated images, I'll simply deselect it, and then simply click onto where it says generate article. Now, this article will be created for you. It does take a few minutes, guys, when it

[17:55] is ready, you will get an email with your content. Now, while that article is going to show you how to very easily create a highly engaging, clean, fully functional website just like this, where you can host all of your quizzes and

[18:11] your corresponding article, which is currently being generated. So, to do that I recommend called Hostinger. I'll leave a link in the video description. They've currently got a deal on at the moment where you can create a website

[18:24] with 85% off. And next to my link in the video description, I've also got a promo code next to that link for an even further discount. If I click onto where it says start now, you can even get signed up with the premium plan for

[18:37] under $2 per month. I recommend the business plan for only a dollar extra, you're able to create 50 websites versus three with the premium plan, and you get a ton of extra AI features, making your website build 10 times easier. I'll

[18:51] plan, and sign up to Hostinger. And on the left-hand side, I can click onto where it says website, then click onto where it says add a website, and click in a prompt like this, create a website that allows customers to find their

[19:04] perfect laptop. The website provides quizzes to customers that recommend a certain laptop based on their answers. I'll hit enter, and I'll then be asked creates the website. The first one, do you want to sell the recommended laptops

[19:17] on your website, or is this purely a recommendation tool where customers get suggestions, and then shop elsewhere? Number two, what type of laptops should the quiz recommend? Now, what I've said, guys, is for number one, this is a

[19:29] elsewhere. And for number two, I said six quizzes to appear on the homepage. I've said gaming laptops, business laptops, student laptops, and three website has been created for us. The quality is extremely high. Find your

[19:44] perfect laptop, and it does feature the exact six quizzes on the homepage that I asked it to for these different type of laptops. And you also want to make sure that when people do click onto where it says start quiz for gaming laptops, that

[19:58] they don't only see that article, but they also see a strong call to action within that article linking directly to our quiz. Now, in order to do that, what I'm first going to do is to retrieve our article by going back over to SEMrush,

[20:13] and on the left-hand side here, first clicking onto where it says content, then clicking onto where it says my content, and you should see your ready at the top of the page here, Amazon best gaming laptop. If I click onto it.

[20:25] Right, so straight away at the top here, we can see our article is ready to rank with a high visibility score. It does say, you can expect high visibility with your article, which is exactly what we want. We want to be ranked as a source

[20:39] know is being searched for with high purchase intent. I've had a read through of this article, guys. It's absolutely fantastic, but a few things I want to change. It does recommend certain laptops within the article itself, which

[20:53] we want to remove. The only recommendations that we want to provide the customer with are via that quiz that we're going to be including within this article as a strong call to action. So, what I'll do is click anywhere on the

[21:07] article, and on the left-hand side here in this chat box, I will simply say, remove any recommendations for certain laptops, and instead rewrite the article to focus on what to search for in a gaming laptop on Amazon. And recommend

[21:21] taking the quiz in the article, insert that as a call to action to be recommended the perfect gaming laptop of your choice. I'll simply hit send. So, the article has now been rewritten, which focuses more on how to find the

[21:34] best gaming laptop on Amazon. It notes things like dedicated graphics, memory, screen refresh rates, and so on. And it also links directly to our quiz. Now, before we go ahead and publish this article alongside our quiz, which we're

[21:48] to action, which I'm going to show you exactly how to incorporate into this article in just a seconds, you want to click onto where it says improve all to make your content even more visible by all AI search tools. I'll simply click

[22:03] article will now be optimized even further for visibility. If I scroll down to the end of the article, one of those optimizations is it has included a question and answer section. For example, is 8GB of RAM enough for modern

[22:18] gaming? There's the answer, and so on. So, there are several ways that you can now publish this onto your website and incorporate your quiz into the article. highlight the entire thing, right click it, and click onto where it says copy.

[22:32] Go back over to Horizons, and I will simply say, insert this article into gaming laptops, so the reader sees it when they click onto where it says start quiz. I'll simply paste in that article, and crucially at the end of this prompt,

[22:47] and crucially at the end of this prompt, I will say, insert this link as a very strong call to action throughout the article prompting the reader to take the quiz to find the best gaming laptop according to their requirements. The

[23:01] very last thing in all of this that we need to do is generate a link for the quiz that we downloaded from Google AI Studio. And to very easily do that, you simply want to head over to tiny with two eyes.host,

[23:15] upload that file that we downloaded, and simply click onto where it says publish. Copy the link, paste it in, and simply hit enter. And when I now click onto where it says start quiz, straight away before I even
