Cayo Perico Nerf: 30% Profit Drop
41sHigh controversy as players hate nerfs, especially to the most popular heist, sparking strong emotional reactions.
▶ Play ClipThis video explains the new money-making meta in GTA Online after Rockstar's economic update, which nerfed the Cayo Perico Heist and introduced weekly bonuses. The creator ranks the best active methods for solo players, emphasizing the Dr. Dre Contract and Oscar Guzman Flies Again missions as top earners.
Primary target payouts reduced to ~700k profit per run; pink diamond spawn chance dropped to 2%.
Major heists and missions pay more on first weekly completion, then slightly less on repeats. Cayo Perico is the only exception, making it less viable.
Pays $1.1M first time weekly, then $900k. Requires an Agency (cheapest works). 48-minute cooldown. Solo-friendly, but no payout split with friends.
Base payout unchanged; first weekly completion pays $750k (normal) or $1.1M (hard). Requires McKenzie Field Hangar (~$1.5M). 45-50 min run, 48-min cooldown. Solo method.
No upfront cost. First weekly completion pays $600k, repeats $400k. Takes 45 min to 1 hour. Good for newer players.
No upfront investment. First weekly completion pays $455.7k (normal) or ~$680k (hard). With challenge bonus, up to $780k. Repeats drop to ~$467k on hard. Not worth grinding.
Keep Acid Lab, Bunker, Nightclub (popularity up), Salvage Yard (tow truck), and Special Cargo Warehouses running. MC businesses optional for solo players.
Rotate between Dr. Dre Contract, Oscar Guzman, Cluckin' Bell, and Avi Schwartzman for weekly bonuses. Prioritize passive businesses. Cayo Perico only once per week. Heists like Diamond Casino and Doomsday still decent with friends.
The new meta focuses on weekly first-completion bonuses and passive businesses, with the Dr. Dre Contract and Oscar Guzman Flies Again as top active earners for solo players.

06:08New Meta: Rotate Weekly Bonuses
The most efficient strategy is to cycle through four activities for first-time bonuses.
07:03[00:02] money-making method in the game with heist taking the biggest hit. For example, the Cayo Perico Heist had all of its primary targets payouts reduced once again, meaning you'll now make around 700k profit per run in most
[00:15] cases. On top of that, the pink diamond spawn chance was reduced to just 2%, so best target anymore. But, that's not all. Rockstar also completely changed how the economy works. Basically, every major heist and mission chain now pays
[00:30] more than before the first time you complete it each week, but after that first completion, it actually pays a bit less than it used to. The Cayo Perico Heist is the only exception to this system, which is exactly why it's so bad
[00:43] show you what I think the new money-making meta is and the most efficient way to make money in GTA Online after all these changes. If you consider subscribing, and let's get right into it. The first money method
[00:56] you should be taking advantage of is the Dr. Dre Contract. This used to be the second best active money method in the game, only behind the Cayo Perico Heist. But, after all these changes, it's now the best active money method in GTA
[01:09] Online, officially. To access and start the Dr. Dre Contract, you'll need to own an agency. You can just buy the cheapest one, it doesn't really matter. It's still a great location and it's actually the one I personally use. The Dr. Dre
[01:21] Contract used to pay a flat $1 million, but now it will pay $1.1 million the first time you complete it each week, and after that, it will drop to 900k per Cayo Perico Heist, that's honestly not
[01:36] bad at all. Cayo lost around 30% of its profit once again, while this one only loses 10% 100k after your first completion. So, you're still making almost $1 million every single time you complete it with an extra bonus on your
[01:49] first run of the week. The only real downside is if you're playing with friends. Since it's not a traditional heist, you can't split the payout with cuts, so your teammates don't really make much money. It's mainly a solo
[02:01] to pretty much everything I'll talk about in this video. The Dr. Dre contract has a 48-minute cooldown, so once that's over, you can jump straight back into it and run it again, which is really nice. So, if you're grinding
[02:14] solo, the Dr. Dre contract should now be your main active money-making method. Next up, and honestly, this one surprised even me, we have the Oscar Guzman Flies Again missions. This has always been a pretty average
[02:27] money-making method. A lot of people liked it, but the payout was just okay, nothing special. But now, it's actually pretty good. Rockstar didn't reduce the base payout at all. So, if you repeat it, you'll still get the exact same
[02:39] amount as before. And on top of that, it also benefits from the new first weekly completion bonus. So, this money method basically only got buffed. Just a quick Flies Again missions, you'll need to own the McKenzie Field Hangar, which
[02:54] actually isn't that expensive at around 1.5 million dollars. Before this update, Oscar Guzman Flies Again paid 500k on normal or 750k on hard mode. Not bad,
[03:06] first completion of the week, you'll make 750k on normal or over 1.1 million dollars on hard mode, which is absolutely insane. I honestly think this
[03:18] is the best first-time weekly completion bonus in the game. You have to complete this every single week at least once. It even pays slightly more than the Dr. Dre contract on that first run. After that, it goes back to the regular payouts of
[03:30] it goes back to the regular payouts of 500k on normal or 750k on hard, which is still very solid. Once you know what you're doing, this takes around 45 to 50 minutes to complete, followed by a 48-minute cooldown. And just like the
[03:42] Dr. Dre contract, this is mainly a solo money method. If you bring a friend, can't split the payout like you can in a heist. Next up, we have the Cluckin' Bell Farm This one didn't get the same treatment as the Oscar Guzman missions,
[03:56] method, especially if you're only planning to complete it once or twice each week. One of the best things about it is that there's no upfront one player, you can start it straight away by going to the V icon on your map.
[04:11] what you're doing, or about an hour if you're new, and you complete it either stealthily or guns blazing, which is really nice. Before the update, it had a base payout of 500k. Now, your first completion of the week pays 600k, while
[04:25] every run after that pays 400k. So, the first one is actually better than before, and even though the repeat payout is lower, if you do it twice, amount as you would have before this
[04:37] update. It's still a really solid money method, especially for newer players, so I definitely recommend taking advantage of it every week. Next up, we have the similar to the Cayo Perico Farm Raid, and just like that one, you don't need
[04:50] any upfront investment. You don't have to buy anything, just head to the A icon on your map for Avi Schwartzman and start the mission chain. They also take around 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Personally, I don't enjoy them
[05:02] Oscar Guzman Flies Again, but that's just my opinion. If you haven't tried them a shot. Before this update, the base payout was 350k. Now, after your first completion of the
[05:15] week, the base payout drops to around 245k. However, your first weekly 245k. However, your first weekly completion pays 455,700 on normal. That might not sound amazing, but that's without hard mode. If you
[05:27] complete it on hard mode, you'll make around 680k on your first completion, challenge, you get another 100k, bringing the total up to roughly 780,000. So, for that first run of the week, it's
[05:41] actually pretty decent money method. You'll probably make more than in solo Cayo Perico heist with the average targets now, but after that though, the payout drops to around 467,000 on hard mode, which isn't terrible, but
[05:55] I honestly wouldn't recommend grinding it over and over. I'd probably just do it once a week for the bonus and move on to the next activity because this new base payout is rough. It's rough. Other than those four money methods I've shown
[06:08] you, you basically just want to spam your passive businesses. Keep your Acid Lab running at all times. Make sure you use the manufacturing table inside it if you have it. You also want to keep your bunker running. Always keep
[06:22] supplies in it and sell your stock as soon as possible. Maybe even your MC of them. Personally, I don't really like them, especially because I'm mainly a solo player, so I don't really bother with them. But if you do, make sure to
[06:35] your nightclub running as well. Always keep the popularity up so the safe keeps forget about warehouse either. That's of try to max out the safe, but don't go crazy grinding security contracts,
[06:49] the salvage yard by doing tow truck services every now and then, and of course, don't forget the special cargo warehouses, which are very important as well. So yeah, that's basically the new meta. Rotate between those four active
[07:03] money methods, but always make your businesses the priority because nowadays far. If you're playing with friends, you can also run heists like the Diamond Casino Heist and the Doomsday Heist, which are still somehow decent enough
[07:16] and of course really fun. You also have the Cayo Perico Heist. You can do it studio, but if you're playing with friends, they're not really going to make much money from it. And just do it once per week. It's not worth repeating
[07:29] it. And yeah, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I hope I helped you out in what you think about this new meta, if these methods have been working well for you, or if you think there's another money method that deserves a spot on
[07:42] this list. It will help me out and it will also help everyone else reading the to make money. Also, thank you guys so much for all the support over the last week. It generally means a lot to me. So many of you tuned in, watched the
[07:55] videos, and left comments. It was really awesome to see so many people interacting and helping each other out. Even though this update wasn't exactly great for the game, let's be honest, I feel like the community really came
[08:07] together this past week and the support has honestly been incredible. So, thank that's it for this video. I hope you enjoyed it. Please leave a like and consider subscribing. And yeah, thanks so much for watching. And as always,
[08:19] I'll see you in the next one.
