[00:01] TikTok live stream than in a whole week of posts? If you're not money on the table. TikTok is no longer just a tool for going viral. The real gold is in the live streams. That's where I've been able to

[00:14] turn views into clients. And in this video I want to explain what experienced, and how you can take advantage of your live streams to generate sales. My name is Juan Carromero, I own Urban Media, I live in

[00:26] Honduras, I am a content creator and just last year I came across this wonderful opportunity that if it hadn't been for a difficulty, I would never have seen it as what it is: a real opportunity. And as

[00:38] happens to all of us in business, sometimes businesses go well and sometimes businesses don't go so well. And I remember that I had an inventory of was kind of blocked, I didn't know how I was going to manage to make so many packages. It had already

[00:51] happened to me one Christmas when I hadn't rested at all because I made a couple of videos on TikTok. I received a lot of orders through WhatsApp, through the same TikTok messages, and I had to put together packages to

[01:03] then send them. So I decided not to make too much of a fuss and just left the inventory there, stuck. Then a startup from Central America came to my country and they where I discovered the power of live streams because now I was finally encouraged to

[01:17] take my inventory to the warehouses of this startup and they were going to take care me. To be honest, one of the advantages is that I automated my store. I have a Shopify store that I linked with this Central American startup

[01:31] so that every order placed in my Shopify store would be handled by them for shipping and delivery. But how did I start generating all these through TikTok live streams, and I want to tell you about some of

[01:43] the benefits you can take advantage of starting today to sell without paying for advertising through TikTok live streams. First, I think it's important to understand that live streams break down barriers and generate

[01:57] immediate trust. During a live broadcast there are no filters, no editing. Many of do these live streams from our homes, not from my office or a studio. And that creates real connections. People can see you as you are, they

[02:11] can see you at home, they can see you interacting with the product. That is very . People really want to connect with us, and content creators and live streams are an excellent platform to achieve this,

[02:24] because we can see across all platforms throughout Latin America how hundreds of entrepreneurs are going live to sell their products, and they're doing it from their living room or bedroom. Another advantage of

[02:50] sales instantly. That's wonderful, and you can achieve that through live streams. And I think it's an opportunity not only to sell. If you're sharper and more professional, you can tell stories,

[03:02] connect with people, and have the opportunity to answer questions in a more organic way, so it doesn't feel so much like a sales pitch; it's an excellent tool. Not long ago I saw an Asian content creator

[03:17] mentioning how dinners are very important for business people in these countries. They invite you to dinner, build rapport, and don't realize that they're selling to you without actually selling. Well, something like that happens in live streams.

[03:31] People feel confident. I mean, it's like you're at my table at home, it's like you 're in my living room, you're here with me talking and you're in a more trusting, closer relationship. That's great for those of us who work

[03:44] is nothing we want more than to connect with people on a more intimate, closer level, to get to know them better. So even if no one sees you at first, or there opening the doors of trust and you can make real-time sales that

[04:00] are generated through that connection of trust. Obviously, in my case, as a tool, I preferred to have the sales part automated, trend in China and I saw what was happening with TikTok Shop in the United States

[04:12] and I know that TikTok Shop is coming to Latin America soon, so it's better to on a live stream and people being able to buy the product immediately there. Automation is indeed very important. If you're interested in learning about these things,

[05:35] algorithm on your side while doing a live stream is priceless. Furthermore, that frees you from the obligation to pay for advertising. Not long ago, a person, a member of my community, called me because they had a problem with Meta; they couldn't

[05:47] pay for advertising and were having problems with their advertising account. I remember recommending to him, look, try doing a live stream tonight and see how it goes. I didn't give him any more advice than that; I didn't give him my checklist about how to do a

[05:59] successful live stream, how to create hype, how to get people to share your doing a live stream and see how it goes." He has n't stopped doing live streams and has moved and running again. Because of course it generates anxiety when people

[06:13] have to pay for advertising and can't, or feel forced or tied to having to pay for advertising in order to succeed and sell their inventory. Live streams are an excellent tool to help you break free from that dependence on

[06:26] paying for advertising. This is free because the algorithm promotes live streams never seen any of your content before. or one of your posts, and a key point, I talk about this a lot in my content, on social media, on

[06:42] TikTok, etc., and that is that the key lies between added value and sales, all that is in between. That's the key. We must learn to sell without selling or leave the sale for later. First we have to educate,

[06:55] entertain, and teach people, but not just make them feel forced and like I'm trying to sell to them or that they see you anxious because you haven't sold anything, because that happens sometimes, you're on live streams and nobody is going to write to you, nobody

[07:07] is placing an order, but you can't transmit that anxiety, that's a golden rule in sales. Any salesperson who seems eager to close a sale scares away the buyer. It's really about that part

[07:20] connect with the people watching your live stream, you want to leave something valuable with them, you want to tell them how that product achieved some kind of new product I want to bring to my country, and it's a wax I discovered in Costa

[07:35] Rica many years ago that I loved because my hair isn't perfectly straight, it's kind of wavy , but using that product, my hair changed; it looked healthy, and I loved how it looked. So,

[07:49] being able to show people how a product transforms you and how sharing something from your experience as a beneficiary, and that's an opportunity to connect with people on a more honest, more transparent level. Besides,

[08:03] there are people who do have that ability to entertain, to tell stories. Live streams are a great opportunity, and of course, we try to make sure everything revolves sell, but with the goal of adding something valuable while

[08:16] people are watching, whether it's entertaining them, sharing a story, or showing a transformation your product has made, like it did for my hair. But addressing their doubts, their fears, and answering their

[08:29] questions in the moment is a great opportunity without being pressured to make a sale. Then, obviously, there are other techniques that I want to tell you that you can leave comments about how we've achieved

[08:42] with our ushoph.com project, which is our website, and how we manage to make people feel that scarcity or that urgent need to because if there's one thing you can be, it's a real professional at

[08:56] TikTok live streams. Another thing I love about live streams is that you can monetize them without having a very large follower base. The moment TikTok enables you to do live streams, it doesn't matter if you have 100 followers, 1000 followers,

[09:08] that doesn't matter. You can monetize; you don't need to have a community as large as 200,000 followers, as is my case, or much larger creators who have more than 1 million followers. No, no, that's not an impediment. You can

[09:20] monetize from the moment you start doing live streams. That's a great opportunity Latin America, and I think we should take advantage of it. For all of us who are entrepreneurs, or who want to generate extra income, or who

[09:33] urgently need to generate extra income, the best tool we have at hand right now is live streaming through TikTok, because you can actually monetize without having a very, very large audience. It all depends on the algorithm and

[09:47] whether there are many creators in your city, and even if there are, that supply is still very little for the demand on these platforms. So TikTok is show you to a lot of people. What you want is to get on the radar of the

[10:01] right people so they'll buy the products you're offering. So you do very large following, but you do need a lot of consistency, a lot of discipline and a lot of frequency to be able to do it continuously. Those repetitions will give you the ability to do it

[10:15] live streams on TikTok, we're really leaving money on the table. And as always, the most important thing is to start, get going, stand in front of the camera, have everything ready for your live stream, but start. You'll never be

[10:29] fully prepared. It's like people who want to be parents. We'll never be ready to start a business. No matter how much we prepare, always something new to learn. So, the important thing is to start

[10:43] because the more repetitions you do, if you're someone who goes live every day versus someone who only does it once a week, your skill level, your level of knowledge

[10:57] will definitely be much higher at the end of a year than the person who wanted to be fully prepared and did far fewer repetitions than you, that is, did far fewer live streams than us. The idea is to do it constantly and then
