Mario, brother of Romero, shares a new 'hybrid' strategy for YouTube automation in 2026, combining faceless content with personal branding to survive demonetization and build a sustainable channel. He details his own success (57M views, $297K) and provides a step-by-step guide to implementing this method.
Many people bought YouTube automation courses from 'gurus' but failed to get views or monetization. Mario introduces a new approach to YouTube automation that he claims is unique.
Mario's faceless YouTube channel has achieved 57 million views, over 140,000 subscribers, and has paid him over $297,000.
In early 2024, over 90% of faceless channels covering gossip news were demonetized or terminated for inauthentic content or spam. Mario's channel survived because it was different.
After years of automation, Mario decided to show his face and use his own voice, using AI only for the logical parts of production. This built a personal brand and reduced fear of termination.
Mario's first video with his face and voice got 44,000 views, 159 subscribers, and a 4-minute average view duration. The RPM remained at $7, proving that showing your face doesn't hurt revenue.
A second hybrid video got 72,000 views, 203 subscribers, and paid $630. This confirmed that the success wasn't solely due to being faceless.
A video with only Mario's voice (no face, no AI) got 416,000 views, over 1,000 subscribers, and paid $3,377. This showed that using your own voice is a key differentiator.
By using his own voice and face, Mario saved money on editors and AI credits (like 11 Labs). Production costs dropped from over $100 per video to basically nothing.
The new strategy is a 'hybrid method' with two options: 1) Start faceless, then show your face once monetized; 2) Mix faceless and hybrid videos weekly (e.g., 2 faceless, 2 hybrid).
You don't need fancy equipment; Mario records on his phone. The process: pick a niche, use a Claude prompt to generate a script, record your own voice, and edit with simple overlays.
Mario mentions a 'Views for blueprint' for starting hybrid channels, covering OBS, camera, lighting, editing, and specific hybrid strategies. He also mentions a community and his brother's channel for more details.
Mario encourages viewers to not be afraid of showing their face, as there is an audience for everyone. The fear is only scary the first two times.
The key to YouTube success in 2026 is to pivot from fully faceless automation to a hybrid approach that incorporates your own face and voice, building a personal brand that is more resilient to platform policy changes and audience preferences.

02:44The Hybrid Strategy
This is the core actionable advice of the video, providing a clear path forward.
03:12[00:01] If you bought a YouTube automation course from a master guru on Instagram expected, you didn't get the views, you didn't get monetized, watch this video. And that's because we discovered a new way to approach YouTube automation. And
[00:14] going to find anywhere else. So, if you still have access to that failed YouTube channel, this is for you, primarily for you. So, let's just get started. My name is Mario. I'm Romero's brother. And this right here is my faceless YouTube
[00:28] rappers. Now, since it started, it has gotten 57 million views, over 140,000 subscribers, and this has paid me over $297,000. But, here's a secret. This channel
[00:42] should not have survived the demonetization wave in early 2024. Over 90% of faceless channels that were covering gossip news were either demonetized for inauthentic content or terminated for spam and deception. And
[00:55] the only channels that survived the purge were channels like mine. And what something the competition could not replicate. Now, let me explain. This channel here started completely faceless. AI voice, AI script. It
[01:09] worked. But, after years of automating my production, I asked myself, "Well, why not use my own face? Why not use my own voice? Why not just use AI for the logical part of production, but show my face, use my voice, and build my own
[01:22] personal brand?" Now, the first thing you might think when hearing this is can't do this. I can't be in front of the camera." And I completely understand that thought process. I was the same way. But, look at this. This was my
[01:36] first video where I showed my face and used my voice. It got 44,000 views, it gave me 159 subscribers, and it had a 4-minute average view duration. This was a huge confidence boost for me. Not just that, but the RPM didn't change. I had a
[01:52] $7 RPM for this video. I I using the same production system that I previously was using except this time I was just being myself. At first I couldn't believe it. So I decided to double down and I posted another video and this one
[02:05] got 72,000 views. It got me 203 subscribers and paid me $630. this only worked because it was faceless. I thought this only worked
[02:17] because we were using AI and it turns out it doesn't matter. So the next time I uploaded I did something different again. This time I didn't use AI. I didn't show my face but I only use my voice. And this video ended up getting
[02:30] 416,000 views, got me over 1,000 subscribers and views, got me over 1,000 subscribers and paid me $3,377. worked. And I tried it again and again and again and again and it clicked to
[02:44] me. This is saving me so much time. I'm no longer spending money on editors. I'm no longer spending money on 11 Labs credits. My production costs went from over $100 per video to basically nothing. But here's the best part. I was
[02:58] no longer worried about getting terminated. The more I showed my face in every video, the more I used my own voice, the less fearful I was about simplified. I was no longer spending money on AI credits. Everything became
[03:12] so much simpler than it was before and I was still implementing AI which brings me to say that the new strategy in 2026 is creating a hybrid method. And what that means is either two things. Number one, you can start a YouTube channel
[03:26] completely faceless. And once that channel gets monetized or starts picking up in views, you start posting videos where you show your face. Or option number two, which is the OG hybrid way. Let's say you post four videos a week.
[03:38] You make two of those videos faceless and two of those videos hybrid where you show your face. And that's the beauty of this. You don't have to show your face best part is you don't even need fancy equipment to get this started. For
[03:50] example, I'm recording this on my phone. All you got to do is pick a niche, then got you. On the screen right now, you're going to see a prompt that you're going to feed Claude. As you can see, there's bold text there at the beginning. Go
[04:03] ahead and insert your video title there. Copy-paste part one into Claude, then do part number two, and then part number three. And once you do that, Claude is script. In step two, instead of throwing it into 11 Labs, what you're going to do
[04:16] is either A, talk it into your microphone, or B, talk it into your phone. After this, you're going to overlay what you say with simple video edits. Step three is entirely up to you. It depends on what path you want to go
[04:29] yourself into just using AI tools. There's a bunch of different ways to go methods are explained in Views for blueprint on how I start my hybrid channels. That includes basics like
[04:43] setting up OBS, camera, lighting, and editing, and specific strategies for hybrid videos, and basically everything I've learned over the past 7 plus years really interesting that me and my brother realized is that there's not a
[04:56] community that actually teaches you how to implement these two different YouTube content creation strategies into a single place. Now, I know this sounds purpose was for you to subscribe to my channel, where I'm going to be giving
[05:08] out free sauce on how to start hybrid channels. Now, it's very important that still work. It just doesn't work for everybody. Before I started this YouTube never thought anybody would watch the videos. Because that's how I am, okay?
[05:22] And that's how I decide what videos I'm going to watch. If the person's face pisses me off, I'm not watching it. Right? And I'm sure you guys that are feel the same way. I know I have one of those faces. It just doesn't piss off
[05:35] all of you. And that's all I need. No matter what you look like, no matter how corner on YouTube for you. Because, dude, there is a ton of people out there. And it's only really scary the first two times you do it. After you do
[05:48] And you know, this is always something I wanted to do where I would move a little bit away from faceless and kind of just teach how to do YouTube in general. millions of views with faceless channels, made millions of dollars. But
[06:02] something I didn't think was going to work. But yeah, I guess it doesn't covered in the school community. You can also subscribe to his channel. He's guys in there and explaining a little bit more about how this works. I think
[06:15] this is a a great addition to the community and and for just YouTube in general. Cuz for some reason nobody really teaches it this way.
