This video provides a step-by-step guide to starting a print-on-demand TikTok Shop without holding inventory or shipping products. It covers the essentials: creating a TikTok account and Seller Central, linking Printify, designing products, and leveraging TikTok's creator program to drive sales.
Print on demand allows sellers to list products that are printed and shipped by a supplier only after an order is placed, eliminating upfront inventory costs and risk.
Print on demand is a process where products are sourced, printed, and shipped by a supplier only as orders come in, making it ideal for beginners with limited capital.
TikTok Shop is a marketplace within TikTok where users can purchase items directly, and creators can tag products in videos, making it a valuable sales channel.
To start, you need a TikTok account (recommend creating a new one for control) and a TikTok Seller Central account to manage listings and integrate with suppliers.
Creating a Seller Central account involves a verification process requiring personal info, tax details, and address, so ensure TikTok Shop is available in your country.
Select a niche-specific store name and aesthetic to target a specific audience, which helps stand out and build a long-term, profitable store.
Printify is a print-on-demand supplier that integrates directly with TikTok Shop, automatically listing your products and handling production and shipping.
Printify offers a TikTok Shop category with recommended products; you select blank products, upload designs, and list them for sale.
After creating a Printify account, sync it with TikTok, select products, upload designs, and use Printify's AI for titles, descriptions, and pricing, then push to TikTok Shop.
Upload several products to your store to avoid having just one, and let TikTok know what you're selling and your target audience.
Sales can come from the shop tab, showcases, TikTok lives, and the Creator Program, which allows other creators to promote your products with shoppable links.
You don't need followers to sell; TikTok's algorithm pushes products with demand, so focus on selling in-demand items.
The Creator Program lets you partner with creators, offering commissions only on sales, which can be more cost-effective than paid ads.
Search TikTok for what's already selling in your niche to gather data and inspiration, without copying, to create designs that meet market demand.
Order samples from Printify to create your own content, post videos to your TikTok account, and link them to your shop to increase visibility.
Starting a print-on-demand TikTok Shop is a low-risk way to enter e-commerce, leveraging TikTok's marketplace and creator program to drive sales without upfront inventory. Success comes from niche targeting, quality designs, and consistent content creation.

09:55[00:01] Shop without holding any inventory or shipping items yourself and you do not need followers to actually start selling products. And so in today's video, we're TikTok Shop store and how to connect a print on demand supplier so you can
[00:15] actually send products and list them for sale again without actually having any inventory. And if you're not familiar with print on demand, it's a process in which you can create products that are sourced by a print on demand supplier
[00:27] that prints and ships them for you only as you begin getting orders, which means beginners or people that don't have a lot of money up front even if you've never sold anything before because you only pay as you begin to get orders on
[00:40] your online store. So there's really no risk involved with a print on demand business in the beginning stages as well. So as I mentioned, TikTok is basically a social media platform that has quickly created its own marketplace.
[00:52] If this is available to you, it will show up on the top of your TikTok screen under TikTok Shop and that's basically where you can scroll and purchase items. people including yourself are able to tag items that they're wearing or using
[01:06] in their videos on [music] their actual TikTok video. And once it's posted, anyone that is sourcing or looking at that content can purchase the product this is why it's so valuable and why so
[01:19] not necessarily going to TikTok with the intention to make a purchase, but they something anyway. So to get started on your TikTok Shop, you're going to need two things in the beginning. First off is a TikTok account. So important note
[01:32] about having a TikTok account, I would recommend opening a new TikTok account so you have more control and when you do eventually link your TikTok Shop, you'll of everything better. The next thing that you need is a TikTok Seller Central
[01:48] account. So the TikTok Seller Central is essentially where you're going to manage able to list your products for sale. This also has a direct integration with on demand supplier that we're using. So this is an important part of your steps
[02:01] for sale. Now important note, when you do create your TikTok Shop Seller Central account, there will be a verification process because you are platform. So you will have to enter some personal information. So be aware of
[02:16] that. It will ask you for some tax details, maybe even your address, your with selling on a marketplace. I'll leave a link below for the TikTok Shop it's available to you to make sure that is available in the country that you're
[02:30] listing products before you start this entire process as well. During this too, you will also have to choose your store name and what I would suggest for having and creating your store is to consider having a niche specific store or a
[02:43] important things that I like to talk about with print on demand because it overall of, you know, making money and becoming a successful seller is having an idea of what you want to sell and who you want to sell to. This really can put
[02:58] you aside from other sellers that are just listing random stuff and help you to have a more long-term store that can generate you more money versus just nobody's exactly looking for. So when you're creating your store name and your
[03:13] store in general, if you want to create a logo and all of that, just consider maybe an aesthetic or a niche that you want to sell to so that this can help your target audience is to have more success on the platform. Now once you've
[03:26] done these two things, you're next going to want to link a Printify account. Now as I mentioned earlier, Printify is that print on demand supplier that's going to actually produce the products and ship them for us. And because Printify links
[03:39] directly with TikTok Shop, any products that you create and list from your Printify store will automatically go on your TikTok for sale. Meaning that when a customer likes your product and purchases it, Printify will directly get
[03:52] create and ship the product on your behalf. So it's important that we create a Printify account and link it correctly so that all this works seamlessly. And all of this is very step-by-step. Both of the platforms give you pretty
[04:05] detailed instructions on what exactly to do, but we'll go over some of the are thousands of different products that you can list for sale and they have a special TikTok Shop category which shows all the products that they recommend for
[04:18] TikTok. This reason being because TikTok has a bit of a quicker fulfillment time. that you choose from that product catalog and then create designs for those products. Now print on demand products [music] start out as blank
[04:32] on demand supplier is going to print your design on. So your job as a seller is to create designs to place on top of these blank products and list for sale. And then as soon as that order comes in, Printify takes that design and print it
[04:46] directly onto the blank product making it now your product to be sold to the print on demand is so great because you can test out multiple different types of products and designs and again you don't have to pay until you receive an order
[04:59] have to pay until you receive an order and you pay per order. So no orders, no should be already be making profit so you're already earning money even though supplier. So to do this on Printify, after you've created your account,
[05:12] you'll then sync your TikTok exactly with Printify and then go to the product catalog, select your product, upload your custom design, and then start uploading it to TikTok Shop. And of course, Printify does give you lots of
[05:25] details and they have really good updated AI that can help assist you when you're doing your title, description, and even give you a suggested price. They will also generate some mock-up photos for you. This is essentially a
[05:37] preview of what your product will look like printed so that your customer can seller knows exactly what you are selling. Once you select all of the mock-ups that you want and you've done your title, description, and set a
[05:50] directly to TikTok Shop and in a few Shop account where you can then further at edit adding in different photos or starting your marketing right away. Now I recommend uploading a few products to
[06:04] your store so that way if someone does click on your shop, you don't just have one product. I would suggest having a few different designs and products so and then also let TikTok know what you're selling and who exactly you're
[06:16] selling to. Now of course, I did say that you do need to create designs to go onto these products and I will leave some helpful design tutorials in the description box below because designing is a whole thing with print on demand.
[06:30] sell your products because that's what makes your product unique and something that somebody wants to buy. And that ties in before when I talked about selling to because that's how you're going to design for a market that's
[06:43] already booming. So for example, maybe you're like me and you like girly coquette things, you can do research on TikTok to see what other people are then create your own designs based off of that to add to a pre-existing market
[06:58] and adding something new and valuable. I will leave some helpful design tutorials can utilize AI and then even create simple designs because simple designs really can sell. And I like to use what's called Kittle to design my
[07:11] great AI as well. So I can design everything from the product to my product mock-up photos all within one artboard and then you can just download directly to your Printify account. Now once your products are uploaded, the big
[07:27] question is how do I get sales, right? That's the most important part in this entire process is getting sales so you can start making money and even consider this a side income or a full-time income eventually. So TikTok has a lot of
[07:41] your products. They can purchase them directly from the actual shop tab. They can purchase them if your products are listed in someone's showcase and you can also purchase products off of your TikTok lives if you decide to go live
[07:55] and you can even join the TikTok Creator Program which lets other creators create videos with your product with a shoppable link. This gives lots of opportunity as I mentioned in the beginning even if you do not have
[08:09] consider that you need followers to start promoting your products, but that's not exactly how TikTok works especially with the shop tab. As long as you're selling products that there is a demand and people are searching for, if
[08:22] push your products. So it's just an important thing to note about this process. And what I find to be the best part of all this is that creator program because how this works is it's a back end program within TikTok Shop Seller
[08:36] Central which you can partner with creators and offer them an incentive to sell your products. Yes, this is a bit of money that comes out of your pocket. However, that can potentially get more eyes and more clicks [music] and buys on
[08:49] your product and can cost less than an advertisement like a paid advertisement because you're only giving a commission to that creator if someone purchases off their video. So in a sense, you can create an entire marketing strategy and
[09:03] campaign off of people that already know and want to create content. And TikTok is so helpful in their back end as well with different things and promotions and tips. There's really a whole entire learning center in there. So I do highly
[09:16] recommend when you're on the TikTok Shop Seller Central to go in there and check out this creator program. I'm actually a part of both the creator program as an influencer or content creator and then also help on running through a TikTok
[09:29] Shop where I'm able to essentially send out products to influencers for them to create videos and then I give them a bit of a percentage off any sale that their video creates and generates. And you'd be surprised at how many creators and
[09:43] pretty big size creators too are part of this program and will help to promote your products. And like I said, it all boils down to what your product is. It doesn't really matter if you are a new seller, you can still get traction on
[09:55] that are already in demand. Now, a good way to, when you're creating your designs and figuring out what products to sell, is to do a search on TikTok and again, see what's already selling for that niche in specific. And this doesn't
[10:08] mean to copy people, it's just essentially gathering data so that we know, again, what the market is looking for. So, for example, if I type in phone different types of phone cases that people are buying, I'm going to take
[10:22] note of what are popular, what TikTok's showing me, has a lot of products sold. take note of and take for inspiration when I start creating my phone case you're searching for. You can also get video inspiration as well if you are
[10:37] And then you can order samples of your products from Printify and start making your own content on that TikTok Shop account that we originally created in slides of your products to your TikTok account as well. And then everything is
[10:51] linked with your TikTok Shop, so people can actually click on your store it's free to post videos on TikTok. So, if you are somebody that wants to create of your products, I would encourage you to do so cuz the more surface area that
[11:05] you're showing TikTok you are and consistent, can really help you to generate sales. And of course, like anything new, it can feel intimidating you to ease in and understand how the process works. You're never going to
[11:19] especially when it's something that can potentially make money. Sometimes people get worried about these things, but I know that if you do put the time into it learn, you'll learn as you go and through your own experiences. So, I
[11:33] encourage you to start and I really hope that this video was helpful. Of course, in the description box below, including Printify with that discount code for you And I'll have the TikTok Shop Seller Central link in the description below as
[11:47] sell on there. They do have some restrictions, so make sure that you check that out before starting the whole process. And any helpful videos I can and some marketing tips as well. Thank you so so much for watching. I hope to
[12:00] see you in the next video and happy selling.
