This video demonstrates how to start a print-on-demand business with zero upfront costs and no credit card by using Printify's pop-up shop feature. The creator walks through setting up a store, customizing it with a logo and domain, and using AI-generated mockups, all within the Printify platform.
Printify pop-up shops allow you to start a print-on-demand business without paying upfront or using a credit card. Orders are fulfilled by Printify, which deducts production and shipping costs from the sale, leaving you with profit.
Within your Printify account, you can create a pop-up store by clicking 'Add a new store' and selecting 'Printify pop-up'. You name your store, get a URL preview, and launch it immediately.
When you sell an item, Printify keeps the production cost and pays you the profit. For example, if you sell a $30 item with a $15 production cost, you receive $15. Payouts are sent to your bank account via PayPal on a bi-weekly or monthly schedule.
You can copy existing products from your Etsy or Shopify stores to your Printify pop-up shop using the 'Copy to other store' option, saving time on re-listing.
To look professional and gain customer trust, you need a custom logo and a custom domain. A .store domain signals to customers and Google that your site is a store, improving SEO.
You can purchase a .store domain from the .store website, and Printify offers a discount. Once you have it, you can connect it to your pop-up shop.
Use templates on Canva or Kittl to create a logo easily. You can customize colors, fonts, and images, and even use AI. Upload the logo to your Printify store.
The creator shows an example store (Rosie Ribbon) with a banner, logo, product mockups, variants, and detailed product information, all automatically handled by Printify.
The pop-up store includes a professional checkout with multiple payment options like Google Pay and Apple Pay. Printify handles shipping and customer support.
The creator demonstrates uploading a product (a t-shirt) by selecting a product from the catalog, uploading a design, and setting variants like colors and sizes.
Printify now offers AI-generated mockups within the platform. You can generate professional product photos with models or isolated products, saving time and outsourcing costs.
Printify's AI can suggest titles and optimize listings. It also provides suggested pricing and profit margin details, so you don't need external research.
After publishing, the product appears on your store with interactive mockups that change when you select different colors. The store looks professional and is ready for customers.

13:23[00:01] already amazing as it is, but there is a way that you can start a print on demand business selling custom products without any money up front. And when I say without any money up front, I mean also without a credit card. Normally with
[00:15] print on demand business, you have to pay to fulfill the orders before they with the method that I'm going to be showing you today, you don't have to do order will come in and Printify will just deduct the production and shipping
[00:31] cost so that you're left with a profit, and you didn't have to have your credit with all the necessary things with profit versus revenue on a separate bank account. And it's come to my attention that a lot of people are not aware of
[00:44] this. And the fact that a lot of people don't really want to sell on open their own stand-alone store, but it feels intimidating and a lot to set up. And so this is a perfect solution for you. So what we're talking about today
[00:57] is called a Printify pop-up shop. So Printify offers a pop-up store that you can create within your actual Printify account. This creates your own actual stand-alone Printify store that's automatically connected to your Printify
[01:10] account. So all the products that you choose, design, and upload go straight to a shoppable literal store on your Printify account. Now on Printify, when add a new store, which you can find on the left side, and then you can create a
[01:24] new store on here. And right here you'll notice there's a Printify pop-up option. You'll just click that, and then you can go ahead and create your store name. And creating an online store anywhere. So you can put your store name here for
[01:37] want to create a new shop, or whatever it is that you're trying it to build. cases. So I'm just going to name my store based off of that and say Case Department Cutie. Okay, just a random name here. It's going to tell me and
[01:52] give me a URL preview, so this is how people will find me, We're going to change that domain later to look a little bit better. Then we're to agree to the terms. And you can see here even says you get your monthly
[02:05] keep all your profit, all in one printing, shipping, and customer support, and they will build you a website integrated for free. So really these themes here, and all of this is later to be customized also with
[02:18] select this white one and hit launch. And then now our store is literally live, okay? So all you have to do is go ahead and go to my products and start actually listing your products on your store. And here if you want to click on
[02:33] actual store immediately, which is great cuz as I said, you can upload your custom logo and images and colors and all of this stuff and add it just really even link your social media accounts, which I think is really great, and
[02:48] do that in just a moment, but overall it's pretty easy and straightforward to you can set up your things like your payout method. So for example, let's say you sell an item on your Printify pop-up store for $30. If your production cost
[03:04] store for $30. If your production cost is $15, Printify keeps the $15 for them to produce the product, and then we'll pay you out that additional $15, which is your profit. So that's how it works. So you'll receive that payout at the end
[03:17] of either bi-weekly, monthly, whatever you choose in your bank account as your actually set this up in your payout section through PayPal, which I think is great because that way a lot of people have access to PayPal and it's easy to
[03:29] about this too is that you can actually take products if you already have them have an Etsy shop or a Shopify store or wherever else that you're selling, you So let's say I want to use this account. I'll just go to my products, and then I
[03:43] can select this product, hit more options, and then hit copy to other store, then select my store, and it will actually copy that item directly over, so I don't have to like redo the listing. So, if you're somebody that is
[03:56] under your same Printify account, cuz as you can see you can have multiple stores, it makes the process a lot easier cuz then you go and just like Etsy shop or Shopify store directly to be available on your Printify pop-up.
[04:09] want to make sure that our store looks good and looks professional. And just mean that this isn't a legit store. As website that we can use. We can link our socials, do our branding. So, two main
[04:23] things that I can't stress enough that are super important are your logo and your domain. So, if we want people to purchase from our website, regardless of legit. We need to look like an actual
[04:36] that when people come to our store they're not like, "Ooh, this looks kind of sketchy, right?" We want to actually have it so they trust our business. And the two main ways to do that are again through logos and a custom domain. So, a
[04:49] custom domain is very easy to get and it's something that is going to be basically your URL. So, you would type in www. And for my store it would be CoCatCaseDepartment or wherever I named it {dot} and then your custom domain.
[05:02] {dot} store. Why I like to use {dot} store is because it actually lets your customers know that you're selling products. This helps you to get much more traction on Google through SEO and searchability because when people see
[05:16] that you're actually a store, they know that you're selling products. If my thing CoCatCaseDepartment, that could be a blog, that could be literally anything, right? However, by adding that additional {dot} store, it
[05:28] allows not only the customer to know that my website is shoppable, but also through actual SEOs so that Google understands, "Oh, this is a store." and knows where to place me for that organic traffic and SEO or for advertisements as
[05:42] well. Lots of brands and even popular celebrities literally use {dot} store because of this and because of that trust ability and relatability and to custom dot store domain, all you have to do is go to dot store. I of course have
[05:56] type in the domain that you'd like, see if it's available, and then you can use discount to set up your custom domain. And then once you have that domain, you store and connect it seamlessly. And then in just a few minutes, you'll now
[06:10] have your actual branded Printify pop-up shop but with a custom domain and no one Printify and you're not paying all these crazy website fees because of that will leave the dot store link in the description below. I highly recommend it
[06:25] it will help customers to know that your website is shoppable. Now once you have your custom domain, the next thing is your logo, right? We want to also have a nice cohesive logo. And logos are very easy to create. You can use templates or
[06:39] quick using one of your products. My favorite way to do this is using templates on a website like Canva or Kittle. These are very easy to create. you'll see all the different templates. Click on one, change out the colors,
[06:53] change out the fonts, add in a custom image, and even use AI if you want to. This way you can then upload your custom logo also to your Printify pop-up shop. Obviously, a store that looks nice and looks friendly and actually shows what
[07:07] we're selling and makes sense is really going to help us to get more sales and conversions. If someone actually comes to your store, there's a chance they is getting them there. If your store looks good, odds are you're going to get
[07:20] more sales. So here's an example of a store that I created previously. This is called the Rosie Ribbon. As you can see, it has a beautiful little banner here. I have my logo. And then if you scroll down, you'll see all my products. You
[07:32] have all of my different mock-ups available, all loaded in here by Printify. We even have our different variant options, also again loaded by that they do these mock-ups. There's even like a zoom, so people can look in.
[07:46] And then there are all of my different variants for my scents. And then the really well, too. The way that it has like product details, all the different automatically done for you. And then all the details for the care instructions.
[08:00] And then what I really love is that this actually shows your customers the updated shipping and delivery time, right? So, that's really cool cuz Printify keeps that updated. So, it does that through giving the local delivery
[08:13] and even the shipping cost. And then also it has a little bit of a return looks really nice. You can also categorize your shop by home and living, accessories, men and women. Just having those different tabs, which again just
[08:26] and good. I've created a few of these pop-up stores. Here's another one here, a different vibe to it. And you'll notice this one how I did like that light pink color code on there. This one I chose not to do but I just had a logo.
[08:41] you can customize it. And then let's say we go on here and we want someone to add professional this is. It adds in the shipping for us. It shows the item checkout, it has this beautiful nice seamless checkout for my customers,
[08:56] where they can pay with multiple payment options as well. There's Google Pay, Apple Pay, and they add in their contact info, and then they get their product, does, once that order goes through, they
[09:08] product, package it up for you, and ship it directly to this customer that purchased from your online store. So, it's a seamless process, all run by Printify from literally start to finish. Let's upload a product quickly just so I
[09:20] before. So, I'm going to go to the product catalog, go to best sellers, we'll just pick the comfort colors, too, just cuz it's a great product to sell. would upload our custom design. Okay, let's do this funny little pink pickle
[09:35] princess design that I have. And then, she has variants, which is our colors. Variants can be anything though. It can be like candle scents, it could be phone case sizes, and what and so forth. But, for clothes, it's the sizes [music]
[09:47] going to pick out all the colors. And you get a lot of different options here on Printify, too, to offer in your store, which of course, we love because we can offer different things for different customer types. And then, of
[10:00] our design looks great. Printify updated some really nice mockups as well. AI to do our mockups, which I'll show you in just a moment. But, overall, this can check it out with all of our different colors. I absolutely love this
[10:15] look so good on our store. And then, here is what I was talking about is when actually offer on our store. And Printify popup even gives you like mockup tips if it's your first time before. I recommend having at least one
[10:29] This helps the customer to really If you have a bunch of products just being worn, sometimes they lose sight of that. So, I always like to include one picture of the product as itself, and
[10:42] maybe one folded just so they can see the design up front. Now, as I said, Printify does now offer AI-generated mockups within their platform, meaning some AI mockups without having to actually go and outsource on a different
[10:55] generate mockup, and then we can select our product variant. Let's do it for choose between with a model or an isolated product. Let's do isolated product. All right, a professional product mockup of a t-shirt laying or
[11:09] hanging. Let's do laying. Flat with casual wrinkles, flat with sleeves crumbled flat rate. I'm going to do flat with casual wrinkles. >> [music] >> Let's do it on a white marble slab, and
[11:21] then, we're going to generate the mockup. And then, after a few minutes here, it's actually going to create us a photo. And Printify, it says uses Gemini quality AI that we can just seamlessly start uploading products again on our
[11:36] within Printify, which is a good thing. We don't have to go elsewhere to find do it all within here, which is again a time-saver and just a lot easier if sign up to a thousand things. It's really easy to do. So, check it out. It
[11:50] there. And then if we want to, we can even change it out or we can do select mock-up, can generate another one. Maybe we do it with the berry shirt. Do it on a model. We're going to do a young adult female. So, we'll just start selecting
[12:05] here different things that you want about the actual model. So, we can choose the hair type, okay, and then the way that we want them standing [music] or sitting. Okay, and check it out. It just gave us a high-quality mock-up
[12:18] again that we can save. And then now we can add in these custom mock-ups. Hit save selection. Perfect. It's got all our mock-ups there and then it's already done a lot of the work for us. So, Printify updated their AI, so there it's
[12:31] Printify updated their AI, so there it's showing like the title that it suggests. I can change out anything. Can also optimize the listing if you want to by doing this and utilizing the AI. This will create a more optimized listing for
[12:45] you want to, but I'm going to leave it as is. It looks good. We'll add a size table so people know the size and then we can edit our price. And then if you go to quick overview here, it tells you the suggested pricing for the product,
[12:58] have to do again an external search for pricing, especially if you're not is a good price for the product. You can also do the detailed table view and see the exact profit margins and the exact cost that you'll receive after someone
[13:11] does purchase. So, for example, I'm around like a $14 or $15 profit margin with doing this and that's like minus in these fees, too, cuz we're not using an ahead and publish this and then after a
[13:23] few minutes that will show up directly on our store and it's available already to purchase. Look how quick that was. As it is, boom, click on it. Our mockups still loading, but as you click each color, see how the mockups change, too?
[13:36] I love that. It doesn't just show like a giant thing of all the colors. It individually as you click on the color, which is very professional-looking. See how beautiful this site looks? And it's something, again, bringing in the size
[13:50] And a lot of this is done for you. And then especially done for you when the just sit back and wait for your money to be deposited. So it's really, really incredible and something that I highly recommend checking out if it is
[14:04] available to you because Printify really is doing it best with this pop-up shop have you have you deal with the credit card transactions really is a game-changer for a print-on-demand business. So overall, that is how you
[14:18] business with no money up front, no credit card involved, and start actually standalone store, so keep in mind that you will want to drive traffic to your actual store to get more sales and make more money. The way I suggest doing this
[14:33] because those are both free options, and for Pinterest, directly to your online store. What I'll do is leave a tutorial in the description below that I show a lot of videos about how to work with
[14:46] Pinterest marketing because it is free. Thank you so, so much for watching. Let me know if you have any questions below, and there's a link for Printify pop-ups. running in just a few minutes. I hope to see you in the next video and happy
