This video is a comprehensive Shopify dropshipping tutorial for beginners. Julia walks through the entire process from setting up a Shopify store, choosing a supplier like Zendrop, finding winning products, designing the store, to driving traffic. The focus is on building a sustainable e-commerce brand rather than chasing trends.

[00:00]
Introduction to Dropshipping for Beginners

Julia introduces the video as a complete guide to starting a dropshipping business, covering strategies and how to achieve success.

[00:30]
Shopify Setup and Pricing

Shopify offers a 3-day free trial and then $1 for the first three months. The dashboard is used to manage products, discounts, and shipping.

[01:12]
Choosing a Reliable Supplier: Zendrop

Zendrop is recommended because it owns its supply chain, offers fast shipping, custom branding, and a no-questions-asked refund policy. It has a free plan and a paid plan with additional features.

[03:36]
Types of Shopify Stores

Three types: general store (not recommended), niche store (specific category like pet products), and one-product store (focus on a single product). Both niche and one-product stores are recommended for better branding and faster setup.

[05:19]
Sustainable Dropshipping vs. Trend Chasing

Instead of chasing trending products, Julia advocates building a brand around a product for long-term sustainability. This involves treating dropshipping as a real e-commerce business.

[05:45]
Finding Product Ideas

Use Zendrop's trending products list or create a new Instagram account to engage with competitor ads. Look for products solving real problems (comments like 'Finally, I needed this').

[06:43]
Validating Products with Trend Track

Trend Track is a tool to analyze real Shopify stores, their traffic, growth, and ads. It helps find products with demand but low competition (the 'sweet spot').

[10:04]
Importing Products and Pricing Strategy

Search for products in Zendrop, compare prices, and set a retail price that gives good profit margin. Example: cost $4, sell for $18, profit $12.

[12:22]
Designing the Store with Shopify Themes

Use Shopify's theme editor (free or paid themes). Customize header, footer, colors, and add sections like hero image, featured product, and multicolumn for product benefits.

[15:50]
Creating a Logo with KD

Use KD (a design platform) to create a logo with transparent background. Upload to Shopify and adjust size.

[21:22]
Optimizing Product Pages and Apps

Add custom sections (benefits, instructions, FAQ, trust signals). Install apps like Kaching or Fast Bundle for bundle offers (e.g., buy one get one free).

[22:53]
Backend Settings: Shipping, Payments, Domain

Configure shipping rates (or offer free shipping via discount code), set up payments (Shopify Payments or Stripe, Airwalix for business accounts), and buy a custom domain (Shopify ~$15/year or Namecheap ~$5/year).

[27:15]
Launching the Store and Driving Traffic

Remove store password to make it public. Traffic methods include ads, influencer marketing, viral videos, and SEO. Ensure store looks professional before driving traffic.

[30:11]
First Sale and Analytics

Orders automatically forward to Zendrop. Use Shopify analytics to monitor visitors, sales, average order value, and conversion rates.

The video provides a step-by-step blueprint for starting a Shopify dropshipping business, emphasizing product validation, professional store design, and sustainable branding. With the right tools and strategies, beginners can launch and scale their online store.

[00:00] Hey guys, Julia here. In this video, I'm going to teach you how to start drop going to cover different kinds of drop shipping strategies and how to make sure you're headed towards success. So, this is going to be a complete drop shipping

[00:15] for beginners guide. By the end of this video, you will know exactly how to make money online with drop shipping. Let's get started. To create the online store, getting started with Shopify down below. Right now, it's a 3-day free trial and

[00:30] then just $1 for your first three months. Inside Shopify, we're going to discounts, set our shipping prices, and everything else needed to launch and

[00:42] grow this drop shipping business. I'm going to walk you through the entire for Shopify down below. And create your account.

[00:57] Here on plans, just going to be $1 for the first 3 months. Once you're inside, you're going to see the Shopify dashboards. Now, up here on products, this is where we can manage our catalog. So, we now need a supplier to import

[01:12] with a supplier that's actually reliable because they're the ones who are going have high-quality products, fast shipping, and that they're able to scale

[01:25] with us as we grow. Ideally, we also want a supplier that offers a way to automate the process and a way to customize our packaging later. That's we're going to use Zenrop. They have a huge catalog of products. [music] We can

[01:40] source anything that we need here. They also have fast shipping times, custom branding options, and a no questions asked refund policy. Now, the biggest reason I recommend this platform is that they actually own their supply chain.

[01:53] suppliers you're going to see out there don't actually own their supply chain. That means they're just connecting you to thousands of other small Chinese something ended up going wrong. There are so many types of chaotic stories out

[02:11] directly with the supply chain. So, with Zenrop, we have the sorted and it's all super super easy to manage digitally. There's a little supports chat over away. So, Zenrop does have a free plan available if you want to start with

[02:29] that, but it does have an order limit amount per month. I do also have a free this comes with some very interesting add-ons that are going to help you launch much faster and probably more successfully. You get custom branding.

[02:43] You get weekly coaching calls with expert drop shippers. You also get Academy where they have some courses and also automated fulfillments. And when

[02:55] scale and negotiate better margins. And you also get some order credits as a for 7 days. All right, so here we are inside Zenrop.

[03:10] So, the next step is to link our Shopify store here. That's how we're going to import products and automatically forward all of our orders to Zenrop. So, let's click over here.

[03:36] All right, here we have it. Now we can start importing products. So, let's talk about what you should actually sell. You definitely don't want to start just adding random products here. We're going to focus on the most effective ways to

[03:48] do this so that you can make money faster. So, let's talk about what kind of stores are out there. First, there are three types of Shopify stores out there. Option one is a general store. This is a store that's basically selling

[04:00] all kinds of products from any category. So, they could have a mix of skincare products, electronics, pet products, all in the same store. Now, this is usually need to have a very specific store look to make this work. It's almost like

[04:16] you're becoming a marketplace. So, I don't recommend creating a general store. Instead, we're going to focus on one of the other two options. Option two is a niche store. This is basically a store selling a specific category of

[04:28] products, like for example, pet products. This usually works very well because it's more focused and you can create a more powerful brand. And option three is a one product store. That's self-explanatory. You just choose one

[04:40] product to be your main focus. This is also a very, very good option. It's also faster to set up, takes less research, and it also gives you some flexibility for testing. So, both are going to be great options. The big question is, how

[04:52] do we choose a product or a niche that actually works? How do we find that winning product? [music] Traditional drop shippers usually all follow the quickly that usually looks pretty low quality. Then they run some ads based on

[05:07] trends and just keep riding it out until it dies. Because with this setup, eventually it does. And they're back at square zero. They find another product and keep on that hunt over and over. That is not sustainable in the long run.

[05:19] and it's kind of what gives a bad name to drop shipping. So, in this video, I using drop shipping to fulfill the orders without investing, but we're actually going to be treating this as a sustainable e-commerce business that

[05:33] compounds. Not just selling a trending product, but building a brand around a product. [music] So, the first step to decide what we want to sell is to browse around and make a list of potential ideas. We're then going to validate

[05:45] all of this in a second. If you have Zenrop Plus, which is linked down below, you can go to their trending products list over here, and see if there's anything that piques your interest. And we can also start with a method called

[06:00] ideas. So, first you want to create a brand new account on Instagram and just product, make sure to watch the video, engage with it, like it, save it, click

[06:16] to see the website, and just keep doing that until Instagram is showing you going to continue showing you similar things. So, that's going to give you plenty of ideas to start with. You also want to check the comments of these ads

[06:30] and look for products that are solving a real problem. If you see comments like, "Finally, I really needed this," or, "I wish I had discovered this sooner," that is a green flag. it means those products are solving real problems. So, they're

[06:43] list of ideas. Now, there is actually a faster way [music] to search for products and to validate whether they are actually worth selling using a tool analyze real Shopify stores, see how much traffic they're getting, how fast

[07:01] they're growing, what products they're selling, and even what ads they are running. So instead of guessing what might work, you're using real data to before we start searching here, there is one important concept that you need to

[07:16] understand and that's called saturation. In the drop shipping world, saturation So if a product is too saturated, that means there's way too much competition and it becomes very expensive to advertise. Now, on the other hand, if a

[07:30] product is completely unknown, then there might not be enough demand for [music] it yet. So, what we're looking for is something in between. We want actually interested, but there are still early enough that we can enter the

[07:45] market without too much competition. That's the sweet spot and that's exactly what Trend Track helps you find. So over here on the dashboard, we can go to these filters and we can search for very specific stores based on how much

[07:57] traffic they're getting and how fast they are growing. So for example, over here we could set a filter for stores that are getting over a 100,000 monthly visitors and that are growing at least 20% every month. That's a pretty

[08:10] working. They're already selling. They are growing pretty quickly, but they're actually enter this market. So, here we have very specific results matching this

[08:25] [music] criteria. So, this can be a super helpful way to guide your products decisions. Now, when you click on one of these stores, you can see [music] what products they're selling. You can also check all

[08:37] pages that they are sending traffic to. So that's going to give you very clear data of how they're actually making [music] sales. We can also go over here for example to this area and we can apply a filter for stores

[08:52] with a high number of live ads or fast growing ads. [music] The idea here is that if there are consistently running or scaling ads, that's usually a strong signal [music] that something is working very well for the store and that they

[09:04] are making money. Now I also recommend that you look at multiple stores, not just one. If you start seeing the same type of product appear across multiple growing stores, that's usually a very strong signal that there is real demand

[09:16] [music] for it. So, it gives us an extra layer of validation. Now, when you're these brands are presenting their product. You want to see what kind of marketing angles they're using and what problem they're trying to solve. [music]

[09:30] There are many different ways to present the same product. For example, if you market towards couples. Or you could also try a marketing angle towards kids. marketing angles for the same product. So, when you're looking at the ads, you

[09:47] can get ideas for different marketing angles. That's going to be very useful this, I'm going to leave a link down below. [music] All right. Once that's here.

[10:04] If it's not here, you can also request a product. You just have to click over here and they're going to source it from the factory for you in a few days. So, let's choose this product as an example. And then over here, we're going

[10:17] to see the price. So, this is the amount that you will have to pay Zenrop to get this item to your customer. So, once you add this product to your Shopify store, you're going to be increasing the price and make money on the difference. So,

[10:29] for example, if inside Zenrop it cost you $4, you could add it to your store and sell it for $18. So, with every sale, you get $12 of profit. Now, strategies for this, and we're going to dive into that later inside Shopify.

[10:44] Zenrop does have some products shipping from the US and others from China, but they typically have pretty fast shipping times. So now the idea is to go through the list that you saved earlier, search for each product here in Zenrop and

[10:56] start comparing some of the prices. The idea is to go for products that give you a good profit margin while still being reasonable to the end consumer. The offers, which are going to help you get more sales later. We're going to talk

[11:10] more about that later. So let's click on adds to my products. Here you can set your product title, your description, and also your product price. But we can also change all of this later inside

[11:24] Shopify. Shopify dashboard, if you click on products,

[11:37] So here we have the title, the description, the images, the varants, and the prices. Down here we also have settings for our search

[11:51] engine listing. So that's how you can [music] optimize how you rank on Google can do that over here. And if we go to the product images and click on this one

[12:04] So here you can actually change the background of your photos with AI all inside Shopify. So you can use this to enhance your images and just make them if you want to fully regenerate your photos with AI and really enhance them,

[12:22] I recommend going to KD and using Nano Banana. That's going to give you much better results. I'm going to leave KD linked down below. Now the next step is designing the store. So from your Shopify dashboard, we're going to go

[12:35] everything. So, if we scroll down here, we're going to see all of the themes that we can use to design our store. Let's click on visit theme store. And

[12:48] here you can browse through all of the options. There are 24 free themes in here. And you can design a beautiful store on a free theme. But if you do have a budget to spend, the paid themes are also definitely worth it.

[13:01] To preview it, we can click over here and click on view demo. That's going to give you a feeling of what your online store could look like.

[13:16] fits your vision. And if you want to try one of the paid themes, you can actually publish. So that gives you a lot of flexibility. Once you find a theme that

[13:30] you like, just click on try theme and it's going to be added to your theme library. So over here on top, we're going to see the other themes that we've just added. Just note that the one on

[13:47] of these ones, you would click over here. So let's click on edit theme. And here we are inside the theme editor.

[14:00] So on the sides you're going to see the sidebar. Here you can see all of the always going to start with the header section and ends with the footer section. So the header is this part over here on top and the footer is this area

[14:15] on the bottom. So no matter which page of your store you're viewing, it's always going to start with the header and end with the footer. So if we click on this section for example, we can see that it's going to be

[14:27] highlighted here in the theme preview. Now this is a drag and drop builder. So if you move the section down for example, we can see it's very easy to down here and there you have a list of options. Now if you click on one of

[14:43] these sections, you're going to see another sidebar open up on the other side with all of the settings to edit the section. Under each section, we can also add blocks. For example, under the hero, we could add a text block. So, if

[14:56] we click on the text block here, we can actually edit the text and all of the text settings. Now, you're going to see that every time we hover on something, feature, you just go up here and you deactivate inspector. I usually prefer

[15:12] going on in my store design. So instead of hovering on sections to select them, you just go over here on the sidebar and choose your sections.

[15:24] All right. Now, up here in the center, this is where you can choose what page of your store you are viewing. So we have the homepage, we have our product pages, collection pages, our carts, checkouts, and other custom pages.

[15:38] So the first thing we're going to do is add a logo to the store. We're going to go up here to the settings. And here we're going to see some additional configurations. [music] So let's click on logo. And here you can

[15:50] that you have a nice branded experience in your store. [music] So the first step that you're selling and then to create a logo. [music] So to create a logo, we're

[16:04] going to be using a design platform named KD. This is my absolute favorite for design. They have a lot of amazing templates that we can use to design a something that I like, I duplicate the artboards and I [music] just continue

[16:19] logo is ready, we're going to go up here to downloads and make sure to download it with a transparent background. All right. Now, we're going to go back

[16:32] to Shopify and we're going to add it over here. Now, here you can also set the size of your logo. And that looks pretty good. [music] All right. Now down here we can also edit the colors of the store. So you can

[16:44] play around this to match your brand look. Now you don't want to go crazy here. Make sure that it looks harmonious and not messy. This looks pretty good. Let's go with that.

[16:59] So here I'm going to add my hero image up here on image. Let's click on select. And here we have it. Make sure this looks high quality and not pixelated.

[17:12] You can also find stock images to use here inside KD. All right. Now, here on the site, we're going to enter our text. So, let's click on it and enter it here.

[17:25] And down here on the shop now button, just make sure that it's linked to all products. Now, down here, by default, you're going to see a featured product right. It's now scrolling down here. I'm going to go ahead and add another image

[17:41] with text section. So, I'm going to choose my other image up here and enter my text.

[18:12] And over here on the button, I'm just going to enter buy now and link it directly to my product.

[18:26] Now I'm going to repeat the process and add a couple more sections. All right. Now, down here, I'm going to click to add section once again, and I'm

[18:40] going to add a featured product. Up here, you can choose your backgrounds color and select your product. Next up, we're going to add a new section.

[18:54] This time, it's going to be a multicolumn. to explain how your product actually works. So, first we're going to enter the title.

[19:10] And then down here, we're going to choose the first column, which is the first block over here. We're going to add an image. So, here I'm going to basically show step one of how to use this product.

[19:24] We're going to enter the title over here and the description down here. Now, let's repeat the process for the other two blocks.

[19:38] And here we have it. Now, all the way up here, you're going to see your announcements bar. So, up here, the idea is to add later, but for now, let me show you how to edit this. Just click over here

[19:57] and here you can enter your text and you can also choose where the arrow links to. We're going to cover how to add buy 1 get one free type of offers in a little bit. Remember to save. Now

[20:13] let's go over to our product pages. Now click on default product. And here we are inside our default product page. So by default, this is going to be assigned to all of your products. So if you make any changes here, it's going to

[20:27] affect all of the other products that are also assigned to this template. So each product, which is definitely recommended, I'm going to leave another store, that's not actually necessary. We only have one product, so we only need

[20:45] one template. So here by default we can see we already have a product listing. We have our products description. Now to really optimize your product pages for conversions. The idea is to design some custom sections here kind of like what

[20:58] and also some instructions on how to use it. You could also add an FQ and some trust signals. You should also have your refund and your return policy clearly

[21:10] visible somewhere and also your shipping times. All of that is going to build trust and help you get more sales. Now, to take your Shopify store to the next level, you can also install Shopify apps. This is basically a way to add

[21:22] extra functionality to your Shopify store. Now, you don't want to go crazy down your store speed. So, you want to be selective and choose things that are actually helping you get more sales. And I also recommend you add an app for

[21:37] bundle offers. That's how you can create buy 1 get one free type of offers, buy 1 get 50% off, mix and match offers, etc. That's also a really smart way to optimize your product pages and get more sales. My two favorite apps for this are

[21:51] Kaching and Fast Bundle. Both are great options, and I do have a tutorial for ready, we also have to customize our navigation menu. So, we're going to go

[22:03] back to Shopify and over here on content, we're going to click on menus. Here we have options for our main menu and also for our footer menu. So let's click on main menu. Over here you can edit your items

[22:20] and where they link to. Let's click on save. Now if you are selling more than one product down here under products products into different categories. Once again if you want to design a store with

[22:38] below. All right. So, if we go back to our store here, we can see that our navigation menu has been updated. All right. Now, if we have a look up here, we can see that our store address is still set to

[22:53] something random.mmyshopify.com. So, let's go over all of our backend settings from your Shopify dashboard. Go down here to settings. And here's where we can customize all of the backend managements of Shopify. So

[23:06] automatically. Over here on store contact details, just make sure you set order confirmation emails. Let's click on save.

[23:23] Now let's go to shipping and delivery. And here's where we can choose how much we're going to charge for shipping. Typically, you have to configure this care of automatically. By default, up here, we have our general profile, which

[23:39] default, all of your products are going to be added to this profile. So, if we click on it, here we can see the products inside it.

[23:51] can see Zenrop. And here we have our shipping zones and our shipping rates. be shipping to. And the shipping rates are the pricing options for your

[24:05] customers that are shopping from those countries. I recommend you go back to Zenrop and have a look at how much they're charging you for shipping. If it's, for example, $8 to ship a product, you might want to charge your customers

[24:17] increase your product prices to make up for that amount. If you do want to offer free shipping, there is actually a smarter strategy. So, instead of just setting it to zero, you want to create a discount code. I'm

[24:32] payments. And here's where you can set up how customers are going to pay you. So, depending on your location here on top, you're going to see Shopify payments. This is Shopify's default payments

[24:46] you're not seeing Shopify payments, that's okay. It's not available in every single country. So instead you might be seeing Stripe which is also a really

[24:58] good option. And down here you can also look for other payments methods.

[25:11] Now if you already have a company registered I recommend using Airwalix. a business registered. It's a solution for business accounts only. It's a great option if you want to reduce currency conversion fees. They have multicurrency

[25:26] them out. You can also use it to fully manage your business finances. So they have things like corporate cards. You can do international transfers. You can also use it to manage your expenses. So it's an allround finance management

[25:41] platform that you can integrate to receive payments on Shopify as well. So that's going to be my number one recommendation if you do have a business I also made an entire video comparing Airwalix to Shopify payments and just

[25:56] walking you through the entire Airwalix setup step by step. I'm going to leave here, we're going to go to domains. And here's where we can change our website address. So, by default, you're going to see your store is set to something

[26:11] random. Shopify.com. That's not very professional. So, to change this, we have to buy a domain. So, there are two options over here. One is to just buy a new domain inside Shopify, which costs around $15 per year, or if you want a

[26:25] buy a domain for around $5 per year. So, I'm going to leave NameCheep linked to connect existing, and then you just have to copy and paste a couple codes.
