Life-Size Bamibex Build — Full Transcript & Summary

[00:00] This is the Bamibex from the video game My Singing Monster. And this is a life-size statue that I'm surprising the creators of My Singing Monsters with. If you didn't know, I was actually the voice of the monster in the video game.

[00:12] The My Singing Monsters team already has a life-size mannix and a life-size fur corn, but they have no idea I'm building this life-size Bamibex. The only problem was I had no clue how to build a life-size statue. My first idea was to 3D print it, but I didn't have enough printers to build it in time.

[00:27] So the first thing I did was I called Prusa to see if they could help me out. And trust me, they helped out big time. Hey guys, so I have a crazy idea. Hell on them. We're all crazy. What's in your mind?

[00:39] I really want to make this statue, but it would be huge. Do you think you guys would be able to make it? Challenge accepted. The huge frames are our specialty. Give us a few weeks and we work our magic.

[00:52] Okay, this is going to be so sick. I guess now we just have to wait. Two weeks later. Okay, Krusa is literally calling right now. Hey. Hey, Landon. We've got a bit of a situation here.

[01:04] Uh, okay. The statue we just finished got destroyed. No way, really? Yeah, man. The statue was on the train, and that train was derailed. Oh my gosh.

[01:16] You're kidding me. I wish I was. The statue is completely toast. But don't worry. The printers are already running 24-7 on a replacement, and we are getting a new one for you ASAP.

[01:30] All right, sounds good. Thanks for calling. All right, bye. So, the entire statue was lost, but Prusa said they are printing a whole other statue as soon as possible.

[01:43] So, I guess we just gotta wait a little bit longer. I feel so bad for Prusa. I'm weak to a tail. Okay, so the package literally just got delivered in my garage. This thing is massive.

[01:55] It's a whole entire crate. I think I need a crowbar to start opening this thing. This thing is huge. Oh no, dude. This thing is already open. Oh crap. A little damage. I really hope the actual statue is okay.

[02:10] Winston, you hope the statue's okay too, right? Yeah, I know you're worried. Okay, the rest of it looks okay. It's just this one side. I've never opened a crate before and I have no clue what I'm doing. Well that works. That was a little dangerous.

[02:23] Whoa, yo, this is gonna be crazy. Yo, I can already see the body of the Bermuda. I just really hope it's not damaged. The head was already falling out I think there a crack Okay I pulling parts of the Bermuda out of a box right now This is one of the heads Whoa this spike I can feel it I gonna be really careful with this stuff because I cannot break it You cannot afford

[02:48] printing another Bermuda statue. Dude, this thing is massive. What is this? I think this is the... I think it's the mouth. Oh shoot, it's one of the arms. So I actually use Prusa 3D printers. They work amazing.

[03:00] I've used it for a ton of projects on YouTube, but they also do some special requests like this like printing off life-size statues. I actually just got a cool update from Prusa. They're making a huge update for the main three printers, the Core One Plus, the Core One L, and the XL. Prints

[03:15] will start faster, surface quality will be better, and just less babysitting the print overall. The printers will be easier to use, but still open and super upgradable like people expect from Prusa. And despite all the updates, the prices are going to stay the same. If you're like me and already

[03:29] own a Prusa printer, don't worry, they're making an upgrade kit so you're not left behind. I cannot Not waste of CD improvement. So I'll just put all the parts out here, I guess. Here's another one of the heads.

[03:41] This is so cool. I'm kind of sad that I'm not keeping this and I'm giving it to my singing monsters, but they're going to love this. Another arm. We have two out of the four arms. Here's the last head. This is so cool.

[03:53] Another arm. What is this? What is this? Is this the brain? This is heavy. Okay. The last Bermuda's arm. Okay, I might need your help with this one. Alright, the grand reveal.

[04:07] This thing is massive. The body is so large. I mean, look at this. This comes up to my... What part of my body is this? Okay, there are so many parts that we're having to unwrap, but I'm so excited to get this finished.

[04:27] Whoa. Whoa. The eye is so detailed, I can like dig in and get its eye boulders out. It's kinda weird. That's so sick, look at the eye! Look at all the texture in the eye, it's so well done.

[04:40] Even the red part of the eye is lifted. This is so cool. Trying really hard not to scratch anything. And this has gotta go all the way from Texas to Canada. I really hope it makes it there. Yo, this thing is huge!

[04:53] Look at my hand compared to the Bermuda's hand. That is crazy. They also hand painted all of this stuff. Like look at this amazing crystal part of his arm. This is so cool. Okay, this is the part that may have got damaged

[05:06] in the shipping. Let's find out. This piece was literally like on the floor after we opened it. It was already falling out. Okay a little bit of paint got messed up but I mean that not bad for actually falling out of the crate Oh it the brain This is sick Yes another arm

[05:30] All the parts of the Bermudas are on the ground and ready to be assembled. I was the voice of the Bermudas, so I should remember where all of these pieces go. Let's find out. Okay, this is gonna be like the best Lego set that I've ever put together, kind of.

[05:43] Oh wait, there's a hole. Oh, that's what that little piece was. What's that little piece for? I just, we forgot a piece. It's the tongue. Ooh. All right, and then the tongue goes right in there. Nice. The brain. Ah, can we do this?

[05:56] Yeah, there we go. Okay, the brain's on there. This is almost as tall as me at this point. This is getting wild. Prusa made this really easy to install, honestly. There's not too many parts and it's really self-explanatory.

[06:08] Did you know there's actually a really easy way to 3D print a statue like this from Eubus or anything, really? This software called Hyper3D Roden actually allows you to take a picture of anything you want

[06:20] and then make it into a 3D model, which you can use for animation, video games, or to 3D print stuff. Watch how easy it is to make a super realistic 3D model. Okay, so I just dragged an image into Roden.

[06:32] I'm making sure it says Extreme High. Then I want to go to my Presets area and choose Micro. Okay, now I'm just going to hit Generate and it'll start making the 3D render. Whoa, look at the detail on that. That looks so cool.

[06:44] It's like metallic. It's crazy. I gave it a 2D picture and it literally made it 3D so well. And they just dropped something kind of insane. The world's first 12K texture. And that higher

[06:56] resolution gives you a lot greater flexibility in post-production and editing. 3D native texture enables seamless material coverage from every angle. With image generation level capabilities, significantly improved text rendering and support for physically based rendering materials. This

[08:59] So yeah, it is a fully, fully 3D printed... It's taller than me.

[09:12] I'm six foot, so it's almost seven feet tall. Yeah, dude. I mean, it's the painting. I mean, I was so impressed with what I gave them.

[09:24] I gave them as much, like, 3D rendering and stuff as I could. But, like, the eyes, though, it's like the sockets are, like, I could pick out its eye boogers and stuff. Even the red is, like, lifted there, right?

[09:38] and the brain. They did such a good job. Holy moly. Cool. I'm so excited to show my mom. Yeah. You guys need to definitely have this because it'll look very cool

[09:50] at BBB. But yeah, this thing is sick. It took a really long time to get it here but we had like this idea to make a Bamibe. I was looking everywhere seeing if somebody had made like a cool statue

[10:02] or something that I could put in my room and nobody had so I was like, okay, well I'll just figure out how to 3D print one and do something with Prusa But I was planning on it being like a foot tall, maybe. And then they were like, why don't we just make it life-size? And I'm like, uh, sure.

[10:15] Yeah, let's do that. They hand-painted it. They did an amazing job. It really came together. It's really sick. That's crazy. I got to speak to the guy. Oh, yeah. I was not expecting this at all.
