AI Summary

In this 7-day dropshipping challenge, the creator sets out to build a profitable ecommerce store from scratch using a $1,000 budget and AI at every stage. The video documents his entire process — product research, AI-assisted store building, Facebook ad testing, and the daily numbers — culminating in a net loss and a $1,000 giveaway.

[00:14]
Challenge premise

The creator has 7 days and a $1,000 budget to build a profitable dropshipping store from scratch. If it isn't profitable by the end of the week, he gives away $1,000 to someone in the comments.

[01:47]
Winning product criteria

Products should be lightweight and easy to ship, target a passionate audience, support quality ad content, and solve a practical or emotional problem. This checklist is used to score every product candidate.

[03:55]
AI-powered product research

After weak results from Instagram and TikTok organic research, he uses Winning Hunter to scan the Meta Ads Library, filtering for products with long-running ads as proof of concept.

[06:37]
Product selected: custom pet necklace

The winning product is a custom engraved necklace featuring a pet's face. The main competitor is doing about $1.2M/month and sells at $39; the sourcing price is only $3.68, leaving strong margins.

[09:54]
Brand name and domain

He uses Claude to generate brand name ideas and picks 'Fur and Carrots.' The domain costs $13 on GoDaddy.

[11:15]
AI store build

He creates a Shopify store for $1 after a 97% discount and uses Drop Magic to import the competitor's store structure, generate AI images, and publish a clean mobile-optimized product page.

[14:14]
Fulfillment setup

He connects Team Drop to fulfill orders. Using YunExpress Electro shipping (5–8 days), the product cost averages around $3–$5 per unit.

[16:33]
Ad creation and campaign launch

He orders three split-tested video ads from Viral Ecom Ads for $90 and launches a $100/day CBO Facebook campaign targeting the US with six creatives and a Shop Now CTA.

[22:33]
First sales come fast

The first sale arrives on day two (Feb 21) at $34.94. The day ends with three sales and $116.86 in revenue against roughly $163 in ad spend.

[25:32]
Best day: scaling the winner

On day four he adds image creatives in a new $75 campaign and cuts losing video ads. That day brings 7 orders and $266.61 in revenue — the best day of the challenge.

[43:14]
Winning ad gets disabled

On day five the top-performing ad creative stops spending due to Facebook errors like 'invalid product destination ID.' He has to duplicate the creative and restart, killing momentum for almost a full day.

[55:05]
Final numbers and honest loss

Total revenue for the challenge is $662.93; total cost is $1,135.70, leaving a net loss of $472.77. He still gives away $1,000 as promised and emphasizes speed of testing over perfection.

[00:02] challenge. We ended up getting three sales. I'm pretty sure I can make this happen, but it's going to be really tight. Bit of an update, not a good update, honestly. So, here's what I'm doing. I've got 7 days and a $1,000

[00:14] shipping store from complete scratch. If I can't make this profitable by the end of the week, I'm giving away $1,000 to someone in the comments. Now, most make this work, perfect branding, perfect products, perfect everything

[00:27] that's what keeps people stuck. showing you everything. How I find a product, we can actually make this thing profitable in 7 days. This works, I money. If it doesn't, well, someone in the comments is walking away with a

[00:41] whole thing play out. Let's see what happens. Good morning. It is officially the first [music] day of the challenge. It is 7:16

[00:53] It is 7:16 a.m. And I got absolute atrocious sleep. I mean, we're looking at 4 hours 39 minutes, but there is no time to waste because today is the day of the challenge. We got to wake up early and

[01:06] start building this thing ASAP. All right, so first things first, we need to what I'm going to be doing to find these products is simply just going on my Instagram feed and engaging with any product based content that I can

[01:20] possibly find. So, anytime that I see an ad of a product, I'm going to engage with it. And that really just means hitting the shop now tab, adding to cart, engaging with this ad as much as I possibly can so that Facebook or

[01:33] Instagram sees me as an engaged shopper. So, what's going to happen is that more and more product based ads, which is going to increase our likelihood of Now, when I'm looking for these products, I'm always trying to check off

[01:47] a key set of criteria that generally embody winning products. One, is it lightweight and easy to ship? So, if the product is too heavy, then it's really going to cut into your margins. Two is the product within a passionate

[01:59] audience. So, can I hyper-target a set group of people that truly want the product? Three, can I create really good quality content to advertise to the masses? Because if you can't properly showcase your product, it's going to be

[02:13] really hard to make any money because at the end of the day, a lot of this business is built on eyeballs, advertising. Four, does this product solve a problem? So, this could be practical, this could be emotional.

[02:26] Generally, when you have a product that solves a specific problem for a specific lot easier to sell to them. And what I'm going to be using to rank these products is this winning product cheat sheet right here. You just enter the product

[02:41] name, the creative link, the sourcing URL, the competitor store, so on and so forth, and then I will be ranking or rating these products on a scale of 1 to rating these products on a scale of 1 to 10. Anything above a 9-plus I'm going to

[02:55] be considering testing for this challenge. So, we have no time to waste, and I'm going to start the research process right now.

[03:11] absolute best luck with Instagram right now, so I'm going to go on to TikTok and just try and see what kind of products that I can find under TikTok Shop. good. It's shapewear. So, if you're solving someone's insecurity or you're

[03:27] making them look better, then this generally sells pretty well. 589,000 of these sold already. Let's just jot this one down cuz this one could actually be decent. Now I'm seeing nothing but jelly bras.

[03:41] Nothing but jelly bras now. Jesus. The algorithm thinks that I'm into this. All best luck finding products through Instagram or TikTok. So, what I'm going to be doing instead is using this app right here. It's called Winning Hunter.

[03:55] here. Basically, what I'm going to be doing is going on to this Meta Ads Library, and I'm going to start to toggle between certain filters. Now,

[04:07] under these specified filters that I've selected. Let's see what we can find. All right. So, it's been roughly an hour, maybe a little over an hour. It is

[04:22] hour, maybe a little over an hour. It is almost 2 hours actually. It's 8:57 a.m. And I think we actually have a decent list of products. So, I would just filled out the full winning product cheat sheet. As you can see here, I'm

[04:35] options that we have, and then hopefully we can compromise on something that makes the most sense. The jelly bra is a thing that I saw on TikTok, which is essentially shapewear in bra format. The only potential concern with this one

[04:49] right here is the fact that there's just a lot of people on TikTok shop that are is going to be pretty high. And then like the selling price, they're selling for $17.31. The next one is the STEM magnetic track

[05:02] that I found, which actually seemed to be pretty interesting cuz it's toys for kids, but at the same time they're learning and it's interactive and watched my last challenge, but I did a variation of this for Valentine's Day.

[05:17] They're also doing like a mother's necklace, and it will be like all of your kids. So, it'll obviously work for grandmas or mothers. And generally with jewelry, has a high perceived value, so you can get away with selling this for a

[05:29] lot higher. Now, the next one is this beeswax hoof care, which I think is really interesting because it's super novel. Like, this doesn't seem like, you know, your ordinary product, and you're working with a very, very hyper

[05:43] ads that have been running for 42 days, 32 days, and it's clearly a problem-solving product. So, you could see the before and after. Went from this to this in just 7 months. So, it's like nourishing, hydrating for the horse's

[05:57] hoof. So, I wasn't able to find this exact type of product on Team Drop by 1688. Going to have to skip out on that one. The next one is leak-proof underwear. It solves a big problem that these mothers may have. Now, if we look

[06:11] at the sourcing price, it's only going to be a $1.74. So, if we look at the ad library link, these guys are running a ton of different ads that have been running for a long period of time. So,

[06:24] this is some decent proof of concept that it works for this company. So, the last one is that I rated the 8.4 the best product that I found so far is this pet face jewelry. So, we'll go and watch this ad right here.

[06:37] >> Do you want a custom engraved necklace with your pet's face laser engraved in >> Their marketing angle is kind of just like people that have separation anxiety ton of ads. A lot of these ads have been running for I mean, this one started

[06:52] December 9th, 2025. So, that's what? 3 4 months. Uh some of these have been months. Uh some of these have been running since November. If we look at uh the sourcing URL, you can get this product for pretty cheap and also laser

[07:06] engraved. And then for the shipping times, let's see if we go down to Yun Fast Electra, we can get it from 5 to 8 days shipping the product for only $6.29. And then let's go into the competitor store. It's a pretty nice

[07:21] store. As you can see, they're optimizing for higher AOV by the pendants. So, if you do one pendant, that's $39. Two pendants is $59. You go that's $39. Two pendants is $59. You go up to three, $79. And then $99 for four.

[07:36] So, if you have, you know, multiple pets, you can carry them along with you pets, you can carry them along with you on your necklace. They're doing 1.2 mil a month with an average order value of $42.

[07:49] They're doing really well. The selling price is $39. We can get it for $3.68. So, what I'm thinking this product and I'd say like the leak proof are probably my two favorites. If we could sell this beeswax health care, like that would

[08:03] definitely looking like this is going to be the best option for us. They have a really nice Instagram as well. So, they're creating a ton of content for this product, organic content as well. They got 100k on Instagram, posting all

[08:18] looks like they have their own packaging as well, selling a variety of products, but again, their best-selling item seems to be this unit right here. And so, the to be this unit right here. And so, the next thing that I do want to look at is

[08:33] the competitors for this store. So, I'm just going to use the magic AI. I'm just going to use the magic AI. I'm basically just going to find the best image of this, screenshot it like so, and then go back into the magic AI, and

[08:47] then upload it. And then this is going to scan uh different competitors, so different people that are running ads using a similar image. So, this might be another competitor. They just started running this ad 1 day ago. So, seeing

[09:00] different variations, but not too many competitors, which is a pretty good sign for us. Yeah, so I think this is going to be a pretty solid option because of the customizability of this product and also the marketing angles, right?

[09:14] Like this isn't a product that you can just go to Target or Amazon and go pick up. This is something that we are going to custom engrave for our clientele, right? There's a ton of different marketing angles that we can go in with.

[09:27] We can go in with the separation anxiety, which I think is really strong. from their pets for too long. They really love their pets, so they can have them by their sides. Pet memorials, so people that have had their lost pets,

[09:42] they can keep them close to their hearts. And then also, like the gifting had just passed, but I think that could nonetheless, I think this is a really solid option and think we're ready to

[09:54] start building. All right, so we just compromised on a product. Now, the next thing is to pick a brand name or to brainstorm brand name. Now, I of course I'm going to use AI. I'm going to be leveraging AI towards my advantage and

[10:09] I'm going to use Claude. Could be ChatGPT or Claude to come up with a solid list of brand names. This is the prompt that I'm going to be using, which is I'm launching a store selling custom pet necklaces. Need brand name ideas and

[10:23] go. All right, so the 10 options that it's given me are Forever, Snoutly, decent. Muzzle and Co. Muzzle and Co. is pretty good, too. Tail Bond. I actually like the Forever. Snoutly I highly doubt that these are going to be available on

[10:36] GoDaddy. So, I just wrote in the chat, "My favorites are 1, 2, and 3, but this should sound like a complete brand name." Let's just do Fur and Carrots over Fur Carrot. Yeah, I think let's go with this, guys. I think this is going

[10:48] to be the best set alternative. It's actually pretty good. Let's go. We just actually pretty good. Let's go. We just got our domain. Fur and Carrots is yours. All right, next thing up, I got to get a Gmail account for this brand

[11:03] to get a Gmail account for this brand name. Name it Fur Carrot. Hey, now we name. Name it Fur Carrot. Hey, now we got our Gmail accounts ready to go. The got our Gmail accounts ready to go. The next thing that we need to do is create

[11:15] our Shopify store. So, what I'm going to do is go to my channel. We can just go to the last challenge video that I did just for fun. But, this link right here, I'll also leave a link below, Shopify for for

[11:30] better. I'm going to save a ton of money doing this. So, I'm going to put in my email that I just created for and [email protected]. [email protected]. $1 per month. We got a 97% off discount.

[11:43] All right, so I'm paying the $1. That is $1 in our challenge budget. All right, basic. I don't need the grow or the advanced. And now, we are in our Shopify dashboard. Let's go. So, the next thing that I need to do is actually build this

[12:00] store. I'm going to show you guys how crazy that this is going to be by utilizing AI. So, same thing can go into my channel. Like this AI store builder is actually insane. Got my Shopify store open, but I'm going to be using Drop

[12:14] Magic. Going to insert my email that I just created for and carrots. All right, so how am I going to start my store? So, what I'm going to be doing, which is really cool, is importing from the competitor store. So, check this out.

[12:28] I'm going to pull this URL from the competitor, head back into Drop Magic, copy and paste, and then continue. Now, it's going to start analyzing this competitor store from Pup Ring. It's going to figure out what exactly they're

[12:41] going to pull all their images, and it's going to come up with a product score for us. So, we got an 88 so far. We'll go and continue. Now, this is where I'm going to pick my persona. So, who am I going to be selling to? So, let's just

[12:54] do the pet lover. How do you want to sell it? Oh, that might be the best comfort carrying a piece of their These two are probably the best. Let's do this one. Now, it's going to start generating. Created some AI images for

[13:07] us, which is actually pretty good. So, it will generate my store. All right, I'm excited. All right, so this is what the store looks like. It looks pretty good, actually. I think I mean, jeez. See, this is mobile. Not

[13:20] I mean, jeez. See, this is mobile. Not bad. Not too shabby. Look at that. Okay. Okay, $39. We got the material. We have the pendants, we have the drop downs here, pretty good. Guys, this looks so clean. [laughter]

[13:32] Blue looks pretty good. I'm going to do the customizations later. I just want to What's cool is I can toggle around and edit these images with AI. So, watch how crazy this is. Change background kitchen. And then it'll do exactly what

[13:48] I asked it to do. Turn this into lifestyle. That's crazy. Holy. So sick. So, I'm going to go to publish and then connect my store. I already have an existing Shopify store

[14:01] cuz I just created and then install Drop Magic. I'm going to add in another product. I could always hit this add new product, but for now we're just going to keep it with this unit. And okay, the publish is good to go. So, now I'm going

[14:14] to go in and see what this thing looks like on my phone. Ooh, that. Okay, not bad. Change some images, obviously, but pretty good so far. Got those drop downs. I'm going to change some images around and then add in my GoDaddy domain

[14:30] and then get back to you guys once I get some work in. It's currently 9:59 a.m. All right, so before I forget, I do need to set up fulfillment. So, I'm going to be using Team Drop because I

[14:44] going to be using Team Drop because I mean it's free. And also they just have able to have access to my own private agent. So, I'm just going to sign up real quick. Create account. All right, the next thing that I need to do is

[14:56] connect Team Drop for fulfillment with my Shopify store so that anytime I get my Shopify store so that anytime I get an order that I can fulfill through Team Drop. So, I'm just going to install the app. All right, the store has been now

[15:08] added. Now I need to find this product. Click this image icon. Just going to Click this image icon. Just going to take this right here. Image upload, drag and drop, and we'll have it find this exact product. Search. So, we have a few

[15:22] options here. Looks like probably the best one. Gold one piece, $3.07. best one. Gold one piece, $3.07. Two piece, so the shipping Electro 669. 5 to 8 day shipping, processing 1 to 3 days. Not bad. So, overall product cost

[15:38] is looking at 976. So, I'm going to list this to my store. And all of this doesn't matter too much because I can just change it once it's in my own product page. So, now it has been listed successfully on my store.

[15:51] Let's just double-check, make sure that it's there. And here it is. Nice. But, the main thing is now that I have the fulfillment sorted. Again, anytime that I get an order, I'm going to be able to get this fulfilled through Team Drop

[16:04] with pretty decent margin and also very fast shipping. All right. So, we're making good progress, guys. We have officially chosen our desired product to run for this test. We've also picked a solid brand name that sounds premium.

[16:20] Like an actual brand. We have built our store using AI extremely quickly. And then we've also set up our fulfillment with Team Drop. So, anytime someone gets an order, it's going to be able to get sent to that customer. All right. So, I

[16:33] just ordered the ads from Viral Ecom Ads. I ordered this three split testing Ads. I ordered this three split testing package right here. That cost a total of $90. I sent them the competitor ads, so this

[16:48] ad library, so they have a good idea Yes, like what the control should look like. So, some good references. I also gave them some creative options to choose from. I just built this with Claude, the AI. I figured that I'd get

[17:02] this started sooner than later so that I can fully focus on building out the website. And then once these ads are done, then I can insert them into Facebook. And then we can start running the ads.

[17:25] good progress here. I just linked up the store domain, so that is all good to go. Now, I've been also working on setting up the shipping rates. Going to be charging $4.95 for standard shipping, and then going to do an insured shipping

[17:39] as well for $8.99. And then also been editing the back end of the store. Not little quick preview of how it's looking, but not too shabby, I'd say so myself. Need to still work on a logo. Uh so, so far we have spent $90 on the

[17:55] so, so far we have spent $90 on the video ads. We spent $13 on the domain name, and $1 on Shopify. Fulfillment is $0 because we haven't sold any units yet. So, that is the total amount that we spent so far. It is currently the

[18:09] 11:30 right now. I'm pretty beat. Been working for 4 or 5 hours at this point, so going to go to the gym, take a little break, and then get some lunch, and then we'll be back to working.

[18:37] >> All right, so just finished my workout, got something to eat, and now I'm headed to the cafe. Going to get some work done.

[18:58] >> We just got back from the Starbucks, and I was able to work on the campaigns, and also brainstorm some copy for the ad creative. So, what I did, took the

[19:10] winning ad creatives from my main competitor and I inserted it into Claude through this prompt. So, I basically just said, "I need Facebook ad copy. I in with. I need you to give me some primary text option headline options and

[19:25] descriptions." So, we can now go over the campaign that I've built out. So, this is the campaign. It's pretty basic. So, it's just a $100 CBO campaign

[19:37] campaign budget optimization. $100 budget per day. The targeting, it's just the United States. And then from there, I left everything pretty much open. 18+, targeting interests. I'm going to have Facebook do its thing and just try and

[19:52] find my ideal customer. Now, for the creatives, you can see that we have six different ad creatives here. Now, mind you, we have three different angles. Each of these angles is going to have two separate videos to test. Now, for

[20:07] the primary text options, this is the angle number one. And then as we scroll down, uh we have the two headline options along with the two description options. This is of course going to be a shop now call to action, directing

[20:22] people to the product page of my website. Now, same thing goes for the rest of these ads. And that is pretty much it. So, I'm going to publish this and then it should approve within the next 2 to 3 hours. So, as soon as I get

[20:38] I will insert and really just replace we should be good to go with our campaign and ready to start testing. And so, I just received the video ads from Viral Ecom Ads. And what I did was I

[20:51] Viral Ecom Ads. And what I did was I inserted them and replaced the previous creatives that we had in here. Now, one thing to bear in mind, you're only seeing three creatives in here. So, let me just explain what's going on. So, I

[21:04] actually thought that I was going to receive two video ads per angle. I don't know why I thought that, but that's what I was thinking when I was building out the campaign earlier today at the cafe. So, here is the first video ad.

[21:24] It's a pretty solid. This one's optimized for Facebook.

[21:37] needed. But for now, I just want to complete the rest of the store. It's complete the rest of the store. It's currently 8:20 p.m. So, we're pacing all right. I still need to upload the logo, but this is the home. We go to the

[21:52] product page. This is what I was talking about about the AI images. I'm considering kind of swapping these out. I'm also thinking about decreasing the the competition. They're selling it at 39, so I'm thinking maybe somewhere in

[22:06] 39, so I'm thinking maybe somewhere in the 32 to 34 range. So, I'm going to play around with it for a little bit longer and see what I can do. Like I said, I do need to insert that logo, but other than that, we should be pretty

[22:19] other than that, we should be pretty much good to go.

[22:33] challenge and I got some good news. We woke up to our first sale. By the way, I woke up to our first sale. By the way, I had the best sleep of life. Can you see had the best sleep of life. Can you see that? First sale of the challenge. One

[22:47] that? First sale of the challenge. One order, 34.94. They ordered the pet face single pendant. So, I'm going to change, get ready, and then go downstairs, show you guys what the Facebook ads are looking like. It's only 9:06

[23:01] a.m., February 21st. First sale of the challenge. Yeah, look at this. Oh, damn. >> Yes, sir. $34.94. Ooh, that is the order. 7:55 a.m. So,

[23:15] like a little over an hour ago. All right. So, there is that order. right. So, there is that order. Uh if we look at today, February 21st, Uh if we look at today, February 21st, one order, 24 sessions, 4% conversion

[23:31] rate. So, we can look at that order. The pet face necklace, a one pendant only, and then you can see that unit price was $29.99. And then I ended up charging

[23:43] $4.95 for standard shipping. Now, let's check the Facebook ads. Looks like the purchase did come through. So, it looks like that one ad spent a majority of the

[23:56] budget. So, we have ad number two, which was the memorial. It didn't actually was the memorial. It didn't actually spend anything. Spent $0. And then the spend anything. Spent $0. And then the multi-pet owner creative spent $13.79.

[24:09] And then so far the winner, as from what Facebook says, is the everyday carry. All right, so I just got back from dinner. And guess what? We ended up getting a sale. We ended up getting a sale an hour ago. So, this one ended up

[24:24] being $46.98. First of all, I do need to explain something because I totally messed up. Uh I didn't realize this until I was driving. So, as you can see right here, this is the order that the person

[24:37] purchased. So, one gold-plated pendant. They also added on the upsell, which was the custom engraving option for $16.99. So, the total ended up being $46.98. Now, where I screwed up was I didn't

[24:52] even allow the first two customers to insert their dog's name or upload a photo, as you can see here. I honestly don't even know how they purchased the product or why they purchased the product. So, I'm going to have to email

[25:05] idiot I was that they're going to have to send me a picture of their pet along with their name so I can fulfill these orders with Team Drop. Yeah, I hope that conversion rates of the store. Although,

[25:18] decent. Yeah, so the conversion rate's pretty decent. We're at a 3.65% standards. The average order value is $35 and the total sales is that $116.

[25:32] So, hopefully, now that, you know, we have these changes in place, people aren't going to be like, "Why can I not even insert" cuz I can imagine there was people that added to cart but wouldn't or weren't able to, you know, upload a

[25:45] picture of their pet or the name of their pet. So, now that that's fixed, that should be good. Now, for the Facebook ads, we can see that that first ad creative seems to be the winner. It's gotten three purchases so far. It's also

[25:58] spending a majority of the budget. So, so far it's spent $81.56. The cost per result, cost per acquisition is $27.50 on this one and then the return on ad spend is 1.43 which essentially just

[26:11] means that for every dollar that I'm spending on Facebook, I'm getting $1.43 back. So, that's actually pretty good. That's above my break even ROAS. We go into the purchase conversion value. So, again, we spent $81.56

[26:25] for $116.86 on those three purchases. Now, we have the third one which has spent money, $67.64. It hasn't got any purchases. So, just

[26:39] based on me looking at this ad creative number three, likely, I'm going to turn it off. So, if it doesn't get a sale by the end of tonight, then I'm just going spent $67 without a sale which is way over my

[26:52] break even ROAS or my target cost per purchase, yeah. But, that's pretty much the update that I have for you guys. Three sales on our very first day of Three sales on our very first day of testing. We spent so far $81 to get back

[27:04] $116. Good morning. It is day three of the Good morning. It is day three of the challenge. 9:10 a.m., February 22nd, and we're going to do a little morning checkup on the store. We ended up

[27:18] actually getting a sale. That one came in pretty late, and that was the pendant. It gets silver, and then the engraving. So, that $16.99 upsell they

[27:30] engraving. So, that $16.99 upsell they ended up adding for a total of $46.98. All right, so these are the ads, and it looks like Facebook didn't actually track the purchase that came in. So, we have that first ad creative that spent

[27:44] $18 today. So, this was the winner. If I just toggle it to yesterday. So, yeah, this was the winner yesterday. It's spent $89 to get back $116.86. Those three purchases, I actually just turned this off like 10 seconds ago.

[27:59] Just because it's already spent $74 yesterday without getting a sale. Today, it's already spent $9.78. We don't actually know where that purchase came from, but I don't want to guess. So, I'm hoping that now that I have turned off

[28:12] that last ad creative that had spent $74 yesterday and about $10 today, that we're going to be able to allocate a bit more budget into the two other creatives. So, that hopefully we can get that second one to start spending. Oh,

[28:25] and another thing that I completely forgot to do was show you guys what the website looked like after all of the adjustments and everything that I've done. All right, so this is what we're working with. You can see that I changed

[28:37] up the logo right here to something a little bit more basic with some design. You can see that I priced the first pendant unit at $29.99. I wanted to slightly undercut the competitor. They're selling at $39.99. I

[28:52] figured that uh we can get some better results if we decrease the price and the margin allows for it. The product isn't that expensive. I believe it's $3.68. So, I still have plenty of wiggle room to work with. We have the color swatch

[29:07] options that I inserted right here that I think look really nice. So, we have the gold, the silver, the rose gold. It goes from one pendant at $29.99 to two pendants, it goes to $49.95, and then three pendants is $69.95. So far,

[29:22] no one has bought more than one pendant, which uh maybe I need to make it a bit can't really see it. We have the engraving upsell option added in here, and that's $16.99. So, the competitor was selling it at what, like nine or 10

[29:37] bucks? So, 10 bucks, and I just feel like you could sell it for a lot more. So, I have it running at $16.99. You insert your pet's name, you upload the photo of your pet. Pretty nice. I mean, you have the drop-downs, you have some

[29:51] recently designed necklaces. We have some UGC style videos for social proof right here. And then we have the how-to works. It goes from the upload. So, remember, I don't want to reinvent the wheel here. I already know what this

[30:07] company right here is doing is working because they're supposedly making $1.2 million a month. They're running a ton of ads. I'm going to take a similar structure and make it my own or add my

[30:19] own spin on it. As of now, it seems to be working pretty well. We have four sales so far. So, now it's just determining which of these ad creatives it's number one. So, I'm going to let that one continue to run. Hopefully, it

[30:32] gets a few more sales. Yeah, so far, so good. I'll keep you guys posted and let you know what the rest of the day has in store for us. All right, so it is day four of the challenge, 10:07 a.m. February 23rd. I just got back from the

[30:46] gym. So, yesterday we ended up getting one last sale. As I was heading to dinner, I was able to pull out the camera and take a quick clip in the car. sale. I'll actually show you guys what it ended up coming out to be. So, you

[31:00] can see was that one pet face unit, 18 karat gold, $29.99. And then, they got charged a bunch of California tax. So, it ended up coming out to $37. Yesterday, February 22nd, we ended up getting two purchases.

[31:16] tracked. So, the last one that got tracked was that last order. We spent $116. So, not great. So, yesterday you could So, not great. So, yesterday you could see we ended up doing $84.54.

[31:33] ads slightly. I'm considering decreasing the budget on this campaign from $100 to $50 and then inserting a new campaign that's going to be testing a bunch of image creatives. So, let me just show

[31:45] you one of the image creatives that I'm working on. I'm using my competitor as reference. Let me just see if I could pull them up as well. Okay, so I've been scrolling through my competitors ad library and just seeing all the

[31:58] running. So, all these different image ads and whatnot. And I created another ads and whatnot. And I created another variation or a variation of my own. So, that is one variation that I'm going with. I'm going to work on about three

[32:13] insert those into a campaign and just see how those do in contrast to the video ads that are currently running. Also, I have fulfilled all the orders on Team Drop. As you can see, all the orders currently fulfilled for all these

[32:28] this listing right here on Team Drop. So, it ended up coming to like an average of around $3. And then, I would chose the Yun Express Electro for pretty much all of them. Got the shipping down to about 5 to 8 days, which is really

[32:45] solid. And if I'm only going to pay what an extra 150 to get that done, I think it's definitely worth it. So, total product costs ended up being around like 10 bucks. So, not too bad considering that I'm selling most of them for around

[32:58] that I'm selling most of them for around 30 to 45 depending on if they're adding on the engraving option. Okay, so a lot has happened. I don't even know where to start. I made a lot of changes, so I just got back from lunch. Let me just

[33:12] show you some good news. We ended up getting three sales. Three sales in the past hour or two. I made a bunch of changes, so I'm just going to go over everything one by one, and then we'll see if any of those changes that I made

[33:27] did end up helping us get this these three All right, first things first, I ended up decreasing the price on this upsell, on the add engraving on the upsell, on the add engraving on the back, from $16.99 to $9.99 just because

[33:42] on because it really doesn't cost me anything, and it's basically like a free 10 bucks. That would help increase the average order value. So, we can look at the sales. We're now at $104, which is sick. So, these are the three

[33:56] orders that ended up coming in all at the same unit price. They all ordered variants. So, that's the last one. So, I mentioned I was going to go in and mentioned I was going to go in and create another Facebook ad campaign and

[34:09] insert image creative. So, let me show you the image creatives that I went ahead and created. Remember I was looking at my main competitor and noticing that they're running a ton of different image creatives, right? So, I

[34:21] want to take this into account, see you know which ones are their best performers. And so, what I did is I made different variations. So, the first one that I made, let's pull that up for you guys what it's looking like. So, this is

[34:34] the first one. Keep them close always. Next one is piece of your heart. And then the last one is a different like variation. So, I noticed this was working well for them and I just did this with Nano Banana and I'll show you

[34:48] exactly how I did it. So, we started off with like this first variation. I wanted to change it up so, you know, we're not plagiarizing or, you know, just copying or stealing or ripping ads. So, I made a bunch of requests and adjustments and

[35:00] eventually got it down to this what we're here. So, we changed the text as well as the image, but it's within the same format. Now, I basically just threw these into this campaign right here. You can see that it is actually built out

[35:13] very similarly in terms of the structure. So, it's $75 budget on this structure. So, it's $75 budget on this one CBO. And then for the targeting, you can see I already named the targeting what it is. So, it's an open campaign,

[35:26] no targeting whatsoever. And you'll see that I inserted these two countries. So, I added on Canada because I just want to see if we broaden out the reach, we can, you know, potentially get more customers in there. And then I used Plaud right

[35:40] here to come up with primary texts. So, all these text options I've basically just used with Plaud and then inserted them into this campaign. And then if you look at the campaign right here, we can see that we ended up getting three

[35:54] see that we ended up getting three purchases already on this ad creative. This is the one that ended up getting purchases. Kind of funny, the DM strategy seems to be working. If we look right here, it has so far spent $48.65

[36:07] right here, it has so far spent $48.65 to get us back $104.82. the cost per purchase is $18.99. That's actually really good. The other metrics

[36:20] look really solid. And then if we just revert back over to our Shopify revert back over to our Shopify dashboard, yeah, $104.82. yeah, it's pretty cool to see that. I already made those adjustments and we

[36:34] got three sales from it that quickly. And it seemed like it already exhausted the budget really quickly. So, we have 50% of the budget left to go. About 50 bucks left. Oh, no. You know what? I might actually increase it because it's

[36:47] might actually increase it because it's at $75 and not $100. All right, there we go. It has been updated at $100. So, now what I might do because the other campaign I mean, it's not performing. It doesn't

[37:01] have any purchases. Let me just double check. Yeah, so not looking too good. $62.8 So, what I'm going to do is actually I'm not going to turn this off. I'm just

[37:13] going to decrease this budget right here from $100 to 50. So, it shouldn't spend any more for the rest of the day. And what I'm going to be doing is monitoring that second campaign that we just created today with the ad creatives. And

[37:28] if it starts to perform well and get more sales, I'm just going to bump up more sales, I'm just going to bump up the budget again. Maybe from 100 to 150 or 200, just depending on how well it's doing. Not much more we can do other

[37:40] than wait. I'm not going to make any more adjustments to the store. So, let's see how we do. But as of now, not horrible. $104 in revenue and the I think we spent about 100 bucks because the other

[37:54] yeah, anyway, I'll keep you guys posted and yeah, we'll go from there. All and yeah, we'll go from there. All right, just got back after getting some work in at the cafe. So, first of all, we ended up getting another sale right

[38:08] here as you can see. Let me refresh. All right, there's that order that came in. Lo and behold, the same ad creative ended up getting that purchase. So, we have four purchases on this ad creative. So, what I've decided to do is entirely

[38:25] turn off the initial campaign that we were running, that was video ads, and to allocate more of my budget into this one that seems to be a winner. So, I

[38:37] literally just ramped up this budget. We started it today at 75, and remember we went to 100, and then at the cafe I bumped it up to 150. We have spent $90 in Facebook ads to get back $140, so that's not actually that bad. That's

[38:53] pretty good. Other than the other campaign that we spent today, we've spent $77 on this initial campaign that I mentioned I just turned off, the initial video ads campaign that isn't performing today. So, we're actually in

[39:08] the red now that I think about it. Yo, yo, yo, it is day five of the challenge. yo, yo, it is day five of the challenge. 10:26 a.m. February 24th. I just got back from the gym. All right, so as you can see, this was yesterday. $266.61,

[39:28] seven total orders. So, so far this is our best day of the challenge. I wind up getting seven orders, average order value $33.84, and pretty much everybody bought this pet face necklace because

[39:40] advertising. Now, I want to go over the ads. So, for the Facebook ads, we can ads. So, for the Facebook ads, we can see that we spent $142.58

[39:53] So, that is what Facebook tracked. It looks like it missed one purchase. So, it ended up tracking six out of the total seven purchases, which isn't total seven purchases, which isn't pretty bad. A cost per result of $23.76.

[40:05] Remember, we increased the budget from in the morning it was $75 back up to in the morning it was $75 back up to $150. So, it's currently still at $150. So, the first change that I made was I increase this engraving option back up

[40:20] increase this engraving option back up to $16.99. However, what I did was I to $16.99. However, what I did was I decreased the variant upsell. So, if you buy two, it used to be $49.98. And if you buy three, it was $69.98 or

[40:34] $59.98 if I recall. So, I just lessened it by about 10 bucks just to really incentivize people to add on more pendants, just spend more money overall so we can increase that average order value. So, the cool thing is that we

[40:47] ended up getting a purchase from that. So, this guy right here, this girl, ended up ordering two units. So, they ended up getting two pendants on that one necklace. And then they also added the engraving option on the back. Yeah,

[41:03] total order of $56.97, which is pretty awesome. That's not going to cost us too much to fulfill. And then the other two orders that ended up coming in were just the regular single unit pendants. Now, granted,

[41:17] yesterday was our best day so far in the challenge in terms of sales, but today is not looking so great, honestly. I mean, we have zero sales. Let me double-check and see how much we spent. Today, we have spent $66.33

[41:31] it's only 10:30 a.m. so it's still early in the day. I'm not going to touch anything really until I see what happens. If some sales start to roll in, and then if we start getting some traction on this ad

[41:46] creative, then I'm going to start to ramp up the budget again. Now, one thing overall budget for this challenge because remember, I have $1,000 to make this profitable and to make this work. Now, we've already spent $600 on ads and

[42:00] then about $100 to $150 to get this thing live. So, I do need to be mindful of this overall budget and I don't want to exhaust it before this challenge ends cuz I'm giving myself 7 days. It's currently day five. I'm pretty sure I

[42:14] be really tight. All right, bit of an update. Not a good update, honestly. It's currently 6:25 p.m. And I've been working at the cafe for the past like 4 hours, and I'm starting to wonder why my Shopify

[42:31] dashboard isn't really moving. So, we're not getting any sales. I look at the Shopify analytics, and there are hardly any website visitors. So, that kind of we're spending money, so we should be getting traffic, right? So, I go into

[42:46] the Ads Manager. The campaign's on. That's great. I go into the ad set. The ad set's on. And then I go into the ad creative itself, and the ad creative is off. Not only is it off, but it spent $74. You can see right here, $74 out of

[43:02] our $150 budget. Now, if you remember, in the morning when I last updated you in the morning when I last updated you guys, it had spent roughly like 65, 60-ish dollars. So, you're telling me from 11:30 to 5:00 p.m. when I last

[43:14] checked it, it spent $74, barely what, 10 10 dollars? So, I go into the ad creative itself, and I see this error. So, I see this error that says review

[43:26] two errors, invalid product destination ID, so on and so forth. So, I'm doing whatever I can to try and get this approved. I am creating new catalogs. I am doing whatever I can, and I can't get this ad to be approved. I don't know

[43:41] what the issue is. So, what I ended up having to do was actually just duplicate this ad creative. So, now we have a duplicate of the one that was performing one that was doing really well, six purchases, probably got seven purchases

[43:56] yesterday. The return on ad spend is 1.6. It's probably around a 1.8, maybe higher. So, it's This is supposed to be our our winning ad creative, right? This one, you know, has been doing well for us yesterday. So, I was hoping today

[44:10] all these ad issues. So, I had to basically duplicate this copy. We're just going to have to roll with this. So, the plan going forward is to let this new duplicate or this copy run for the remaining uh six 5 and 1/2 6 hours

[44:27] left that we have in the day and to spend the remainder of our budget, which is $75. It's quite unfortunate because I'm a bit hesitant in a sense where like I don't know if this campaign is going to perform because it's been off for

[44:41] probably like over 5 hours, right? So, what I assume is that when I updated you guys last at 10:30, that had spent that $65, probably spent 10-ish dollars to off and all the errors started to populate and I didn't realize until 5:00

[44:56] Uh I don't know if that's going to affect the learning. It likely is. Not only that, but we're duplicating this creative and having to basically start over from scratch even though this one had been performing really well for us.

[45:10] It kind of sucks cuz we're having so much momentum going into this day, but do. We have less than 2 days left in the challenge to try and make this thing work. What is up, guys? It is currently February 25th, 9:56 a.m. And it might be

[45:26] the last day of the challenge and I say that because we've spent a majority of our budget. It's currently day six. All right. So, first things first, we can look at the sales for today. Currently at $38.08,

[45:42] we got a sale. So, I'll hop into the computer and take a look at that. So, here is that sale. They placed an order on one single unit and then got charged a bunch of sales tax. Now, if we go to the campaign itself, you see the thing

[45:57] still has an error, which yeah, there's nothing you can do about that, but the new ad creative has started spending. Today it's $749.73 to get back that $38.08 that was tracked for that single

[46:10] purchase at a 0.77 return on ad spend. Now yesterday, remember we turned it on and it ended up spending $29.79 from the time that it got approved but didn't get us a single sale. The game plan for today because we don't have

[46:26] much time nor budget left, I'm just going to increase the budget from $250 to $250 to see if we can squeeze out some more purchases and kind of force this ad creative to to start to perform. Remember yesterday or the day before, I

[46:42] think it was a 23rd. Let me just double check. The 23rd, yeah, it had six tracked purchases. I believe seven total purchases. Uh probably almost a 2.0 return on ad spend. So, we know that this creative definitely works. Now that

[46:57] we've duplicated it, you know, hopefully it hasn't killed the learning. As of now, um it's not doing amazing but hey, it got a purchase so that's good. So, if we can, you know, turn this thing around despite the setback that we had

[47:12] last night. Got to fulfill the rest of these orders with Team Drop and then should be pretty much good to go. What's up? So, I just pulled up on the side of the road. I'm currently taking my car back into the shop to check the PPF

[47:25] which is the wrap on my car. But we did get but two orders that came in. So, this one just came in 10-15 minutes ago and it looks like it tracked the one half ago which is pretty good. Uh just has to populate this other one in here.

[47:42] Yeah, we should be pretty much golden. All right, guys. It is February 26th, All right, guys. It is February 26th, officially day seven of the challenge and we ended up fully exhausting our $1,000 budget so we had to end the

[47:56] challenge early. So, what I'm going to be doing right now is show you guys what the numbers are looking like for yesterday, kind of briefly explain what ended up happening, and then we'll go over pretty much an entire breakdown of

[48:09] the analytics. All right, so yesterday, we ended off the day at $194.92, Shopify. We look at the ads, this one creative that was the one that was

[48:23] spending ended up getting four out of the five purchases, and then the others weren't tracked. We spent a total of $235 and what I ended up doing yesterday was inserting three more creatives, but they

[48:37] just didn't spend. So, you can see right here, we have This is the first variation, which is "Bought this for my sister, and she literally screamed." The only difference now is the text. I haven't taken it off since it arrived.

[48:49] So, these didn't spend, likely because the other one was just winning and already had purchases and data, so it just didn't have enough time for us to get that one to start spending. So, that's what uh the numbers are looking

[49:03] everything in depth. All right, so we can start with day one of the challenge. This really just consisted of us just building the store from scratch, so we didn't spend any money on ads. We obviously didn't make any money. Our

[49:17] obviously didn't make any money. Our biggest expense was the ads from Viral Ecom Ads. That was $90. The domain was $13 from GoDaddy, and then Shopify only costed us a single dollar to get that set up. That brings the total cost for

[49:30] day one to $104, and as you can see, no revenue right here. So, if we go into day two of the challenge, this was our first live day

[49:42] of testing. You can see that this was February 21st. We ended up doing $116.86

[49:54] to the Facebook ads, those three orders did get tracked. $116.86. I was at a $54 cost per purchase because we spent $163.69.

[50:06] given that was our first day of testing, that's not too bad. The cost of goods to that's not too bad. The cost of goods to fulfill those three orders was $28.70. $4.09. It brings us to a total cost of $196.48,

[50:28] on day two of the challenge. Now, we go into day three, February 22nd. Two total into day three, February 22nd. Two total orders that amounted to $84.54. And then, if I recall properly, for the 22nd, only

[50:44] one of the purchases got tracked. So, we spent a total of 116 bucks. And one order got tracked for $37.11. So, the cost to fulfill those two orders

[50:57] ended up being $19.08. The transaction fees was $2.96. The total cost was $138.64. We operated at a loss of negative We operated at a loss of negative $54.10. Now, one thing I do want to mind

[51:12] you guys because I think on day four was the first day that we ended up getting someone to buy two pieces. So, we'll see that the product cost does change by not too much if you go up in uh pieces. So, you see the gold item at one piece is

[51:26] $3.07. If we go to two, it's $4.75. So on and so forth. Nobody bought more than two. And then, the price changes based on variant material. And then, for the shipping on all these, I chose

[51:40] YunExpress Electro because I'd rather have the customer get the product quicker and maybe spend a couple dollars more. I could have cut on cost and did but then the customer is going to get it in 7 to 15 days, which isn't really

[51:55] worth it. I'd rather just spend the extra dollar to have peace of mind. Now, if we go into day four of the challenge, this was actually the best day that we had for the challenge. So, day four of the challenge was February 23rd.

[52:10] the challenge was February 23rd. We ended up doing $266.61. We ended up doing $266.61. cents And we got seven total orders. ended up testing two campaigns. So, if we check February 23rd, this is the

[52:25] first day that we ended up running, if you remember, two campaigns. We turned off the one on the top that was not doing great, and then this was the image creatives that we inserted that ended up getting us six out of the seven

[52:39] purchases. It was likely seven, but it only tracked six total on the 23rd. Now, if we go into the cost of goods to fulfill those seven orders, it was $68.72. The transaction fees on the revenue that

[52:54] we did was $9.33. So, the total cost ended up being So, the total cost ended up being $298.40. We operated at a loss of $31.79. So, going into day five, this was

[53:10] February 24th, basically when we had that massive hiccup. And we, you know, didn't realize till later the ads basically got screwed over and didn't really spend. So, that was $0 for the day. We ended up spending $104.08 on the

[53:27] day. We ended up spending $104.08 on the ad. The cost of goods was zero, transaction fees was zero, because we didn't get any revenue. And the total didn't get any revenue. And the total cost was that $104.08 on the ads. So, we

[53:40] operated at a loss of $104.08. Now, day six, which was yesterday, was the last push to try and get this to work. What I ended up doing was just try and you know, squeeze out as many purchases as we possibly could. So,

[53:55] February 25th, which was yesterday, we did $194.92 did $194.92 for five total orders and then we ended for five total orders and then we ended up spending leave $235.12.

[54:08] So, the most that we spent four of those purchases got tracked from Facebook, purchases got tracked from Facebook, four out of the five. So, if we go over the cost of goods for those five orders, it was $52.16.

[54:20] The transaction fees was $6.82. The total cost was $294.10. The total cost was $294.10. We operated at a net loss of $99.18. So, the total revenue for the entirety of this challenge was $662.93.

[54:39] 84 cents. The total cost to fulfill all these 17 orders that we had with five to eight day shipping was $168.66. The total transaction fees was $23.20.

[54:52] The total startup cost to get this thing up and running was $104. Remember, I could have saved money by not ordering the video ads, but I was in a time crunch, so I had to do it. And then the total cost for this challenge was

[55:05] total cost for this challenge was $1,135.70. throughout this week's period of $472.77.

[55:18] successfully completing the challenge. We ran into a lot of hiccups, but that is a part of the game. So, with that said, a deal's a deal and I'm giving the comments. Now, look, most of you guys that are watching aren't going to

[55:30] build a store in seven days, but the point here is showing you that you don't need months of perfect setup before you start. You can move fast, test things, see what works, and adjust as you go. That's really the whole game. Now, if

[55:43] thinking, "Okay, I actually want to do this, but I don't want to make the same people one-on-one. We will make the important decisions with you. You won't have to guess if your product is worth testing, if your ads need to change, or

[55:56] conversions. If you're serious about building a legit brand, I'll leave a link below to apply, and we'll see if you're a good fit. Otherwise, I hope you this challenge, and if you want to see

[56:08] try and scale it past the challenge, let me know in the comments. Appreciate you guys for watching, as always. I'll catch you in the next one. Peace.
