I Bought a $1,500 YouTube Channel and Earned $15,000

[00:12] to find out is this just a big scam that's got hundreds of thousands of subscribers? I'd like the channels to have monetization enabled

[00:27] For subscribers we'll do at least a hundred thousand. Whoa! (chuckles) Well, let's have a look at the channel. (chuckles)

[00:42] Well, I'll leave ya on the back burner Let's actually see what the most subscribed on here is. and they are wanting $8,888.

[00:58] and they get to add their own bit of info So they want $8,000, but they have earned just $200 which isn't a great sign.

[01:13] I feel like if I buy this, I'm asking to get scammed. and apparently they're earning $1,000 per month.

[01:25] Well, that actually says estimated revenue is $19 And you've also got a strike warning. (laughs) to be fair, they've got more views than I've got.

[01:40] But the thing is, right, if I buy this channel (video narrator speaking in foreign language) So most of the channels that are for sale

[01:55] for me to continue the uploads Primarily, I just wanna see Because you will see if I actually click Buy this channel,

[02:09] and it seems like most of the sellers But basically how it all works is, I have to first create a deal

[02:22] who is this fella, Asif Ali, agrees to my deal, I then send my $10,000 to a person called an escrow. Asif Ali then transfers the Playtime Squad to the escrow.

[02:37] the escrow person sends Asif Ali my $10,000. Asif Ali's Playtime Squad YouTube channel. Maybe I will get scammed.

[02:49] This YouTube channel actually got their Silver play button. could I then order another play button as well Their revenue is so weird.

[03:04] and then the rest of the time they earned barely anything. So this could actually be quite handy. (laughs) in ad revenue in the last three years

[03:18] to 400,000 passive monthly views. His channel's quite inactive at this point. but to be fair, still averaging like 13,000 views a day.

[03:33] and then just started posting daily reactions But I just never acknowledge that we're not the same person. Like I cannot afford that.

[03:47] What is this channel? Oh my God. Imagine Pretty Woman Kitchen on a play button! But they have literally no videos.

[04:01] It's only $349 though. to own Pretty Woman Kitchen. We've got lots and lots of small print.

[04:13] They're warning me that the website is not responsible Well that's a bad sign, Request to purchase Pretty Woman Kitchen. (laughs)

[04:28] So while we're waiting, let's just buy another channel. So I've found this channel called Fufik But if we have a look at the actual channel,

[04:41] and this is their most viewed video, 4.1 million views. - Hello, my name is Fufik. (Jack laughing) this blue animated dog with a crown

[04:55] So just something funny happens and he laughs at it. So I could see myself adding another layer to this. and I react to the blue animated dog that's reacting

[05:11] I would own all of the rights to this content, And then maybe it'll just randomly get a billion views So they are losing subscribers.

[05:26] but it's a warning rather than an actual strike. They've earned $1 in the last 28 days.

[05:38] one of the worst financial decisions I've ever made. And I'm doing PayPal once again, please. which make it nice and legal for me

[05:51] And now we just wait for them to get back to me. (laughs) So I'll see you when there's an update.

[06:03] and both channels accepted their purchase. And the escrow fees are 7% So for Pretty Woman Kitchen,

[06:16] I had to pay 7% of 349, and instead I had to pay via cryptocurrency. and purchased £2000 worth of Dogecoin!

[06:31] explain that to my accountant. and then I paid the $84 escrow fee, or should I say a 1,368 Dogecoin escrow fee.

[06:45] But I wanna warn you, do not do this. Not only is it kind of completely pointless 'cause there's no way it's ever gonna work.

[06:58] But also I'm paying for stuff with Dogecoin. there's a chance you'll get scammed out of a lot of money.

[07:10] both sellers have now made the escrow agent And as you can see, in six days, five hours, primary ownership rights will be transferred to me. (laughs)

[07:23] Obviously I'm gonna try and get two Silver play buttons But first and foremost, I just wanna find out if it works. So I guess I'll see you in six days,
