[00:01] Even if you forget me,

[00:04] >> bro.

[00:06] >> It's so big, bro. It's so big. Dude,

[00:10] oh,

[00:13] I love Re:Zero, man. Like, dude, I've

[00:16] been re-watching this scene just over

[00:18] and over, okay? Like, I've been sitting

[00:19] here for the last like 20 minutes just

[00:21] trying to record a video without

[00:22] breaking down. And you know what? Just

[00:24] screw it. We We're going We're just

[00:27] screw it. I'll have tears in my eyes. I

[00:29] look like, you know, a big baby. What a

[00:32] episode of Re:Zero, man. Like, dude,

[00:35] this

[00:37] just so good. Like, it is easily one of

[00:40] the best anime that I've just I've ever

[00:44] watched. And it just it's insane. Like,

[00:46] it's been it's been 10 years plus since

[00:49] season 1 came out, and they they still

[00:52] got me crying, bro. Like, I first

[00:54] encountered Re:Zero when I was like 20.

[00:57] I'm 31 NOW AND IT STILL GOT ME BALL LIKE

[01:00] A BABY. LIKE, BRO, it's so good, dude. I

[01:05] love this series, man. Like, what do you

[01:08] mean we get a title drop? WE GET A TITLE

[01:10] DROP LIKE 70 episodes deep, 10 years.

[01:14] LIKE, WE GOT A TITLE DROP. LIKE, THIS IS

[01:16] THE full-blown Rezero title drop. Like,

[01:20] bro, like I like it. Oh. Okay. Okay.

[01:24] Okay. I I'm I'm trying to compose myself

[01:27] because it this is just such an

[01:29] incredible episode. This is just such an

[01:31] incredible anime, man. And it makes me

[01:34] so happy to be able to just feel this

[01:36] and to talk about this series because

[01:39] it's just it's it's it's good, man. It

[01:41] just it's it is just it is why I love

[01:44] anime. It is it's in essence the core

[01:47] essence is why I love anime, why I love

[01:50] manga, why I love these type of stories.

[01:53] And just seeing stuff like this is just

[01:56] oh dude, like

[01:59] the craziest thing about this episode is

[02:02] that it leaves you on such a

[02:04] cliffhanger, bro. Like I'm mad right

[02:07] now. Like I I'm sad, happy, mad,

[02:10] everything in between so many different

[02:12] wild roller coaster of emotions because

[02:15] like we we now have to wait like for the

[02:17] next two to three months until the

[02:18] return of Re:Zero because obviously it's

[02:21] going on a brief hiatus and it'll return

[02:23] with its second core. And like look, I I

[02:26] can wait. I mean, if they give us the

[02:27] same quality that we got with this, by

[02:30] all means, take a whole year off. I I I

[02:32] please I I'll hate having to wait that

[02:34] long. Don't get me wrong, but by all

[02:37] means, if they can continuously deliver

[02:39] this high quality, do it. Just do what

[02:42] you got to do. And I I'm just going to

[02:44] tell you, man, this is really special.

[02:47] This is This is just such This is such a

[02:50] special anime. This is really just such

[02:53] a special series. Like, there's really

[02:57] just nothing like it. The only thing I

[02:59] think that really has ever made me feel

[03:01] this way when I have watched something

[03:03] is probably Hunter Hunter and Mushik

[03:06] Tensei. Those are the only two series

[03:08] that really come to mind that really

[03:10] just get me this emotional to this

[03:12] degree when I'm watching something. And

[03:14] like this entire episode, for those that

[03:17] obviously didn't catch it, this is the

[03:20] equivalent of the Natsuki Subaru episode

[03:23] where he says, "I love Ameilia." For

[03:25] instance, when he's having that

[03:26] conversation with Rim in season 1, where

[03:29] Rim is just basically being his

[03:31] emotional pillar and support, saying,

[03:32] "You are my hero. I have your back."

[03:35] Basically just saying that regardless of

[03:37] how Subaru feels about himself, he feels

[03:38] like he is a piece of [ __ ] that he is

[03:40] nothing. He's worthless and everything.

[03:42] Rim believed in him. She believed in the

[03:44] greatness that was in him. Believed that

[03:46] he was a hero and she stood her ground.

[03:48] She could have ran off with him and had

[03:50] her own life with him, but she chose to

[03:52] stay there with the current Nazki Subaru

[03:54] and support him. And basically, thanks

[03:56] to Rim is what really got him out of the

[03:58] hole in season 1. He was able to push

[04:00] forward. And so, this entire episode

[04:03] here with Amelia talking with Subaru,

[04:07] kind of telling Subaru who he is, who he

[04:09] actually is, is literally that scene.

[04:12] But now it's Amelia's turn. We're

[04:14] finally getting the moment to where

[04:16] Amelia is the emotional support. She is

[04:18] the pillar that allows Subaru to pick up

[04:20] the pieces and to continue moving

[04:22] forward. And I think this is very

[04:24] interesting in terms of just the story

[04:26] writing here because obviously this

[04:28] Nazki Subaru we have, he is someone that

[04:31] is, you know, he has no memories. He

[04:33] doesn't remember anything. So the very

[04:35] concept of Rim and her emotional support

[04:37] is just non-existent. And so it's kind

[04:39] of like in this moment Rim is getting

[04:41] replaced by Million. That that's a

[04:43] tragedy. Yes, it's kind of sad, but it

[04:45] it just it showcases that he has a lot

[04:47] of people within his life that really

[04:49] have supported and built him up and

[04:51] allow him to find his way again. And

[04:52] this very episode showcases that he um

[04:55] he was repeating the same mistakes, the

[04:57] same character development and

[04:59] everything that he had throughout season

[05:00] 1 and season 2 and even season 3. And it

[05:03] got basically sped run through. Like

[05:05] this this entire moment here pretty much

[05:08] was just like a condensed version of

[05:10] Subaru's character development where he

[05:12] was realizing that he kind of needs to

[05:14] love himself, realizing that there's

[05:16] people that love him, realizing that he

[05:18] is potentially a hero or a great guy and

[05:20] he needs to believe in himself and know

[05:21] what people say about him. There's a lot

[05:23] of ways you can look at this and like he

[05:25] wants to save people. He he's willing to

[05:27] do what it takes to be able to save

[05:28] them. He won't forget even if he loses

[05:30] them. All these different type of

[05:32] things. There's just all the different

[05:34] pieces of character development that

[05:35] Subaru has went through throughout the

[05:37] story was basically front and center for

[05:40] this to get him up to speed. Even though

[05:42] this isn't technically at the moment our

[05:44] same Subaru

[05:46] in essence with his very soul it is just

[05:49] that sounds complicated but hopefully

[05:51] you get what I mean by that. But like

[05:52] this very like big Amelia moment is just

[05:56] so powerful because it really iterates

[05:58] just how much she also has grown as a

[06:01] character. And I think that one of the

[06:03] things that makes this entire scene very

[06:04] emotional, it shows the changes of

[06:06] Amelia but also not. And let me explain

[06:09] that one because obviously if this was

[06:11] Amelia

[06:13] like Amelia in season 2 before the

[06:16] development, I don't know if she would

[06:18] have been able to do this like she is

[06:19] and handle it properly. But she handled

[06:22] it in such a way thanks to the

[06:24] development she received in season 2 and

[06:26] after that. But we also see some similar

[06:29] mistakes that she would commit even

[06:32] prior to season 2. And what I mean by

[06:34] that is she is someone that is

[06:35] hopelessly

[06:37] naive or she will do anything to save

[06:40] someone that's right in front of her and

[06:41] she could potentially waste her entire

[06:43] life. If you don't know what I mean by

[06:44] that, the beginning of ReZero, the first

[06:47] episode, you can go back and look at it

[06:48] yourself. Subaru realized very quickly

[06:50] with his brief encounter with Amelia

[06:53] that she is someone that is so

[06:54] good-natured, so good-hearted and naive

[06:57] that, you know, she would just lose her

[06:58] entire life trying to save people or

[07:00] just do something right or even lose her

[07:01] life in the process. And this very

[07:04] circumstance is basically what Subaru

[07:06] talked about. And if you don't know what

[07:08] I mean by that, literally while this

[07:09] entire conversation is going down,

[07:11] Amelia is basically saying like it is,

[07:13] laying her heart on the table for Subaru

[07:14] to hear, even doing a love confession,

[07:16] by the way. And we have this beautiful

[07:18] scene, by the way. Oh, the dude. The

[07:21] original OG song. Oh, bro. Bro, bro, I I

[07:25] I'm gonna I'm gonna tear up again, man.

[07:27] I'm I'm gonna tear up again.

[07:32] Amelia is literally doing this entire

[07:35] conversation and you just see Sauta

[07:38] creeping in in the background. Like

[07:40] while this is going on, Sauta is inching

[07:44] closer and closer to consuming that area

[07:47] that Amelia and Subaru is in. You could

[07:49] see her surrounding them and obviously

[07:51] there's imminent danger. This is very

[07:53] very dangerous and at the end of the day

[07:56] when you think about this situation, did

[07:58] this conversation need to happen now?

[08:00] Like we we got to look at this in like a

[08:02] very logical perspective for a second.

[08:04] Looking at the circumstance, okay, the

[08:06] towers crumbling, people are dying left

[08:09] and right. Subaru just told you that

[08:11] Beatatrice and Julius, Anastasia,

[08:14] Akidna, you know, everybody's dead

[08:16] basically, okay? And you hear this and

[08:18] instead of trying to say, "We could talk

[08:20] about this later. We can move out of the

[08:22] tower," she decides to just stop what

[08:24] they're doing and have a full-blown

[08:25] conversation with Subaru while the

[08:27] danger is around them. And what this

[08:29] indicates is is that in that moment,

[08:31] Amelia, she proved who she really is by

[08:34] her very virtue. She she basically would

[08:37] throw her life away to protect Subaru

[08:38] and others around her. And that's what

[08:40] this is. She she realized the most

[08:42] important thing right now was to

[08:43] basically talk with Subaru, say it like

[08:45] it is, and give him reassurance. And I

[08:48] would like to remind everybody in this

[08:49] moment or in the series, Amelia doesn't

[08:51] know Subaru has returned by death. You

[08:53] know, she doesn't. So, when you look at

[08:55] from this perspective, this moment

[08:56] really just shows a lot about her

[08:58] character. It shows that she cares so

[09:00] much about Subaru that it's just way

[09:02] more important than anything else. and

[09:04] basically even her own life in this

[09:06] moment. It's sad, but it also is

[09:08] beautiful at the same time. And it

[09:09] re-emerges the very emotion that Subaru

[09:12] had at the beginning of the story on

[09:14] what inspired him to continue pushing

[09:15] forward for Ameilia's sake. So yeah,

[09:18] there's just so much about this episode

[09:20] that is just straight up beautiful. And

[09:22] what's the craziest thing about this is

[09:24] that even with Sauta appearing in this

[09:26] episode, like we actually get to see her

[09:29] once again. She is not even like the

[09:32] front main center importance of this

[09:33] episode. Like she she she's important,

[09:36] don't get me wrong. She's very important

[09:38] for this episode, but like she is not as

[09:41] important as everything else. Like

[09:42] there's just so much in this episode.

[09:44] Like I mean you you you have the stuff

[09:47] with like the split personality of Saru.

[09:49] What is really going on there? I mean,

[09:51] we have like uh we have Reed literally

[09:55] walking out and just being able to walk

[09:57] around the tower. What the hell's going

[09:59] on with that? Like like what? Like it

[10:02] it's just that that's just a big that

[10:05] that's a mind [ __ ] It it really is.

[10:06] It's just like oh oh oh my god. Like one

[10:09] of the strongest swordsmen in existence

[10:11] is just walking around freely. This

[10:13] cannot be a good thing. Um the other one

[10:16] is that we also have like Anastasia. We

[10:19] get a big little detail with Anastasia

[10:21] which is very subtle and actually I want

[10:23] to talk about this because I think this

[10:25] is very important that will easily fly

[10:27] over people's head. So Anastasia

[10:31] obviously dies in this episode and this

[10:34] this scene is supposed to hint at

[10:36] something and I've been neglecting to

[10:38] talk about it because it would have been

[10:39] spoilers until now. But um you remember

[10:43] when she got cut in half, was 50% off,

[10:46] you know, around episode 3 or four of

[10:48] this season? Well, if you remember, she

[10:50] started freaking out and saying like, "I

[10:52] don't want to die. I don't want to die."

[10:53] And just going absolutely bonkers and

[10:55] insane. Well, when you look at this

[10:58] scene, it's basically identical. For

[11:00] instance, she's cut in half. She's

[11:02] bleeding out and she's dying. But her

[11:04] words are the exact opposite of what her

[11:07] words were in the cave when everybody

[11:09] went crazy. And this she's like, I will

[11:11] continue to um hold on to the pain for

[11:14] Anastasia for she doesn't have to feel

[11:16] it. Basically, she's not allowing

[11:17] Anastasia to come back and uh take

[11:20] control of the body. She is forcing

[11:22] Anastasia to stay down for she doesn't

[11:24] have to feel the pain while they're

[11:25] dying. And what this indicates here,

[11:28] there there's a big big thing, a big

[11:30] detail is that Anastasia can come back

[11:33] like and in this moment it's implied

[11:35] heavily that Anastasia could return

[11:38] right now and feel everything and be

[11:40] alive and talking, but Fox Akidna is not

[11:43] allowing it. That that's a big one. Now,

[11:45] the reason why I'm bringing up the cave

[11:47] scene is because if you remember when

[11:49] she started going crazy and begging

[11:51] Subaru, I don't want to die.

[11:55] This is in the Japanese text. Okay. So,

[11:58] if you're not a Japanese reader, you

[12:00] might not catch this, but the speech

[12:04] pattern of Akidna or Anastasia's body

[12:08] changed in the cave when that scene

[12:10] happened, implying that Anastasia was

[12:12] back and she was feeling everything

[12:14] while she was dying, which basically

[12:17] implied that Akidna abandoned Anastasia

[12:21] in that moment. She she allowed

[12:24] Anastasia to feel all the pain while she

[12:26] ran away. That that's basically what

[12:28] happened. And so everything about this

[12:30] situation is screwed up because it gives

[12:32] so much more context to the previous

[12:35] episodes and just how demented the

[12:38] myasma made them. So yeah, I just I

[12:40] wanted to point that one out. That is

[12:41] definitely something that will fly over

[12:43] people's heads and not a lot of people

[12:44] will know. Now with that being said, you

[12:49] have to wonder what the hell is even

[12:51] going on. I mean, you have a sudden

[12:53] scorpion appear. You have like a bunch

[12:55] of different uh like uh um beasts like

[12:59] demons basically like the the the

[13:00] horsemen people appearing like you know

[13:02] in the middle of the tower and Julius is

[13:05] fighting them. Reed obviously appears.

[13:07] There's just there's a lot of basically

[13:09] like uh bad stuff going on and like why

[13:13] is even here? Like that that's a

[13:15] obviously a big elephant in the room.

[13:17] Like what we know Sauta only appears if

[13:20] Return by Deaf has been discovered.

[13:24] So what's going on with that? There's a

[13:26] there's a you know like what is going on

[13:28] with that? So there's a lot of question

[13:30] marks, a lot of mysteries, a lot of like

[13:32] no answers with this finale, which is

[13:34] fair because obviously that's why we

[13:36] have another season coming up in a few

[13:38] months which will answer all these

[13:39] questions. So I will just I will leave

[13:42] it at that, man. Like what a absolute

[13:44] phenomenal

[13:46] season, man. I I got to say

[13:51] this might be the best episode. Like if

[13:54] not I put it side by side with Subaru

[13:59] carrying Rim in the snow with like Puck

[14:02] coming out of the mansion. You you know

[14:03] what episode I'm talking about with

[14:04] Sloth's introduction.

[14:06] I would put this episode potentially

[14:07] side by side with that because this is

[14:09] really a masterpiece. There's so much

[14:11] going on here with the underlying themes

[14:14] that if you really have paid attention

[14:16] to ReZero and just paid attention to the

[14:18] characters and stuff. This episode is

[14:20] just a a masterpiece of writing. That's

[14:22] not even getting into everything else.

[14:24] Like that's not getting into the audio.

[14:25] That's not getting into the animation,

[14:26] the music, and everything. Just strictly

[14:28] the writing. Masterpiece level work. And

[14:32] it doesn't try to hold your hand and

[14:33] treat you like you're a child. It it

[14:35] expects you to understand what's going

[14:37] on. I appreciate that. But uh I will I

[14:41] will leave it at that. Thank you so much

[14:42] for watching my videos. I I've been

[14:45] really enjoying talking about ReZero and

[14:46] it's sad it's already over, but here we

[14:48] are. So be safe, stay healthy. She be

[14:51] out.
