Meld Studio Just Won with AI-Powered Spark

[00:01] stream is officially easy with a brand new tool that's launching today that I been surprisingly difficult to get anything semi-advanced, anything more It's always taken extensive efforts to set it up. Now it'll take you seconds.

[00:18] you don't remember Meld from a video about a year ago, it is an alternative to OBS. You can live stream from in here and they pride themselves on being the right, by the way. Over in the corner here we have this new little button

[00:31] called Spark. And for full disclosure, this is the first time someone has shown that I didn't think was completely cringe. Like it's the first time I felt cringe. Like it's the first time I felt like, "Oh, this is what AI is for."

[00:44] So we click on this and it asks, "What do you want to create?" And it gives you things we can already do. And those are already really cool. I'm say I wanted to show my stream chat on my stream as an overlay, maybe over here

[00:57] go sift through all the tools I go to StreamElements, I go to owns, I'd see of them looked good to me, I'd customize them up a little bit. It'd probably take hour or two to get everything set up. But instead, what I'm going to do here

[01:11] is type this. Have it display both Twitch and YouTube, make it slightly Make it Pokemon themed and display some test

[01:26] chats to make sure it looks good. Let's takes. It's 12:56 right now. And it's done. We have a custom chat overlay, Pokemon themed, semi-transparent. That's let's say, "Oh, shoot. Twitch has started cracking down on their really

[01:41] embarrassing TOS. I can't put YouTube on there anymore." And I just got done watching Bluey. I want to make it Bluey. Remove YouTube from the chat and make it Bluey themed. In 2 minutes we've made two different chat widgets. This is very

[01:55] exciting. This is no longer gate kept by the large companies that have programmers that can make these when all you want is a widget or a timer or two more of these for you so you can see what you can do here, but I want to

[02:08] address something first. I want to address generative art, AI art, because this can't really do that. What you're seeing here is the most artistic you can possibly make it. It can do vector-based graphics, so like shapes. And let me

[02:22] a new one real quick. >> Make a sub alert of Pikachu playing a power chord. Let me use sub test to be able to

[02:35] try it out. Here we go. It's been about 30 to 45 seconds. If I type in sub test, you can see I wouldn't call that Pikachu art. Uh that's the best it can get both think that's the perfect balance. The functional tool is made by the AI, but

[02:51] the art needs to be made by a human, which you can do, by the way. I can upload my own artwork and have it mess around with it very minimally to make my here. So, I've uploaded my own profile picture and I've asked it to make it

[03:04] talk and say "Welcome Baka" when someone subscribes. Let's give it a shot. >> [snorts and laughter] >> Welcome Baka. It's nice. So, what this means now is artists that typically make tools for streamers, but then need a

[03:19] programmer to help actually make it work is they can come in here, they can make it, and then in the inspector they can just copy this link and hand it off to the person and they have a perfectly functioning design made just by the

[03:32] artist. This could be a huge tool for artists to design things and then get it to work properly because typically getting a custom widget requires both the artist and the programmer, and it's so cumbersome and so expensive that only

[03:45] the top-tier elite streamers can even do something like this. But, let me show you two more here. Let's make a new chat. Make a subathon chat. Make a subathon widget in the top left corner. Make it a

[03:58] widget in the top left corner. Make it a countdown timer that starts at 1 hour, and every time someone subscribes, add 1 minute. Oh, I didn't put any design details in there.

[04:11] right there, 1 minute per sub, says subathon, we got a countdown timer. Let's make it pink and teal and a little larger. Remove the text that says 1 minute per sub. Give it a bluey theme. I got bluey on the mind today. Now, let's

[04:25] got bluey on the mind today. Now, let's go into the chat and let's test it. had a little animation that added to it, and it went up by 1 minute. This is so for you. Let's say I'm streaming, and I go to the bathroom. I'm leaving my chat

[04:40] rough day. And I want them to have something to do. I want to keep them occupied. Okay, here's the prompt. Make a trivia game that asks trivia about Pokémon. Show four answers for every question. When whoop, a person answers,

[04:52] a little avatar with their name appears next to the answer. Keep individual score and show the top 10 scores on the screen. Each question has 10 seconds to answer. Show a countdown timer. There we go. So, which Pokémon is number one?

[05:05] And look, a little icon. It doesn't show their name. So, it looks like it got it like 95% correct. But, it does have my eight? I don't know. And I've got 20 points. And then I can move it wherever

[05:18] layer over here. And sure, this has always been doable with coding and programmers, and you can still do that. But, not only does it take weeks, but off of streaming, and it can be really expensive. So, not only can I make this

[05:31] myself, but it means that every single stream, I can have a slightly different chat to play. Maybe next time I go live, I want to make a little excitebike thing with all my viewers as little square bike riders jumping over hurdles, which

[05:45] tested this out. Or maybe on Christmas I want to make my chat overlay red and sentence. I think because this is AI, we're going to see some negative know what? That's fair. But I think this is the most empowering tool that both

[06:00] streamers and artists have had in a really long time. And I think we're about to see Twitch streams start to get really custom really easily. There is a free tier of this and you can go sign up for

[06:12] can use it forever. There are going to be limits on the free tier, but as of today talking to them, they haven't figured out exactly what those are. But anything that you make once, you can use forever without hitting your limits

[06:26] because once it's made, it's made. The AI is not being used anymore. There's people like me who are going to want to tweak this every time they go live and to that in the description down below. There will also be a code that full
