AI Summary

The creator shares how a single TikTok Shop affiliate video earned over $20,000 in commissions while he was running a 50-mile ultramarathon. He breaks down the exact framework used to create a viral product video, including product selection, hook creation, demonstration, price anchoring, urgency, and call to action.

[00:02]
Unexpected viral success during ultramarathon

While on a 50-mile ultramarathon, the creator learned that a TikTok Shop video had received 16 million views and earned $20,000 in commission within a week.

[00:39]
Initial lack of expertise

The creator admits he didn't know what he was doing initially and split-tested different strategies to find what works.

[00:53]
Followers don't matter for TikTok Shop

TikTok's algorithm pushes content to new audiences, not necessarily followers. 95% of viewers are from outside the creator's niche, so you can promote any product you like.

[01:45]
Product selection criteria

Choose a product that solves a common and painful problem, is cheap enough to be an impulse buy, visual, and demonstrable. Example: a retractable car charger that eliminates cable clutter.

[02:24]
Viral video breakdown

The viral video reached 19.6 million views. It starts with a hook (claiming the product is from Amazon, which no longer works but the psychology remains), good lighting, curiosity, and a clear demonstration of the product's benefit.

[04:54]
Price anchoring creates urgency

Mentioning that the product costs $40 on Amazon but only $17 on TikTok Shop creates a strong price anchor and fear of missing out.

[05:23]
Urgency and call to action

Stating that the deal is a 'flash sale for one day' adds urgency, and directing viewers to the TikTok Shop with a clear call to action drives conversions.

[06:03]
Replication and total earnings

The creator replicated the same video and gained another 11 million views, earning over $70,000 total from just a few videos that took 30 minutes to film and edit.

The key to a viral TikTok Shop affiliate video is a relatable product, a curiosity-driven hook, clear demonstration, price anchoring, and urgency. These psychological tactics can be replicated to generate significant income even from a small account.

[00:02] 50-mi ultramarathon, basically in the middle of nowhere with a simple goal best friends ended up calling me and telling me that out of nowhere, one of my videos that I had posted on Tik Tok shop ended up getting over 16 million

[00:14] views while I was on this race. This one video was out for less than a week and it had already made over $20,000 in commission while I was running this ultramarathon. And the craziest part is is that this video took me less than 10

[00:26] probably be lying to you if I told you that you could probably do this uh right from the start without having to, you know, try very hard or anything crazy. I've gained a lot of experience doing this throughout the past year and a

[00:39] didn't really know what I was doing. I was split testing a ton of different see what would stick and end up ultimately making me a lot of money. And to make Tik Tok shop content with products that were similar to the

[00:53] with. Like I built my Tik Tok shop account off of country music videos that I screen recorded from YouTube for like two years and it built a large following thought that I had to make Tik Tok shop content surrounding country music

[01:07] apparel or boots or hats or something like that. But that's not true. The majority of your content that is pushed on Tik Tok is not seen by your reality, that's actually really good because majority of your content gets

[01:19] seen by anybody who it's actually meant to be seen by. So 95% of your viewers on just people all over the United States, what niche your account was in when you start posting Tik Tok shop products. You

[01:32] want and whatever products that you like, which I highly recommend. So I decided I'm going to look at that video and I'm going to break down exactly how it, the exact framework so that you can replicate it, practice, and hopefully

[01:45] Tok Shop affiliate as well. All right. Before anything, the first thing that I did was I found a product. And the way that I'm going to do that is with this criteria. Number one is I need to find a product that solves a common and

[01:58] across this product, which is a retractable car charger. This was a simple product. It was visual and it was deeply relatable. It was cheap enough to demonstrable. Everyone basically deals with the clutter of having like an

[02:12] your car and you're trying to plug in your phone. you're trying to reach for retractable car charger solves that problem because you can just plug it in and then retract it back into its little nesting area or whatever. So, now we're

[02:24] going to look at that Tik Tok video that went viral. Got over 19 million views you the video and then we're going to break down every aspect of it. All right. So, as you see right there, that one right in the middle is 19.6 million

[02:37] watch it. Now, look at this thing I just found on Amazon. You take it and you just plug it right into your car and then you pull out your cord that you're using. Plug in your phone and then whenever you're

[02:50] done, you just pull it out again and it snaps right back in place. It's also adjustable, so you can change the angle like this, but I personally like it this cool little gadget from Amazon for $40, but you can get it from the Tik Tok

[03:04] shop for just 17. I would hop on the deal now though because they do sell out pretty quick and it's only a flash sale that's happening for one day. Okay. So, basically I immediately call out the fact that it is um this product that is

[03:18] sold on Amazon. Now, I will tell you that that method does not work anymore, but the psychology behind why it does still does. So, you can't say Amazon like I bought this product from Amazon and it's a Tik Tok shop product. But the

[03:31] concept of hooking people with something that kind of catches their eye is a very important thing to do and that's a hook in general. The other aspect of this is the start because it's really good lighting and then also I'm showcasing

[03:45] this product in a very curious way. I'm making people curious about what this part of the start of this video is that I mention how it says deal of the day in $17. Now, they are being a little bit more strict nowadays with the pricing.

[03:59] You can't put like pricing unless it's not accurate for the timing. So, if I pricing anymore. If you are, just make sure you put dates of when that price Tok shop rules. You can always find avenues around those things. That's just

[04:13] now. But it's again all psychology and ways to hook people into this content. Next is I actually go into the demonstration of the product. So within showing them the benefits of owning this product. And that's like whatever this

[04:28] already showing them that they can retract this cord and they see and they can visualize this benefit of them actually having it themselves. You're using, plug in your phone and then whenever you're done, you just pull it

[04:41] out again and it snaps right back in place. It's also adjustable so you can change the angle. Now, midway through this video, I basically start going into just like talking about the different features and this isn't really selling

[04:54] anybody too much, but what I talk about right after this does go like this, but the mistake of buying this cool little gadget from Amazon for $40. So, now in this part of the video, I price anchor people. I said, I bought this thing for

[05:08] $40, but on Tik Tok, it's 17. And that's a huge price comparison. It makes people don't want to miss out on the deal. Price anchors are almost non-negotiables Whether it's creating some type of urgency or straight up price anchoring

[05:23] give them some type of urgency, they're not going to purchase from you. You can get it from the Tik Tok shop for just 17. I would hop on the deal now though and it's only a flash sale that's happening for one day. And then at the

[05:37] saying that it's a flash sale, but it's only lasting for one more day. And then them a call to action because at this point, so many people on TikTok knew product and it's in that little shopping cart. So, pretty simple. That's the

[05:50] video that made me over $20,000 while I was on an ultramarathon run, which is the craziest thing to me. But what's even crazier is I took that video and I recreated it myself again. I did almost the exact same thing, recreated it, and

[06:03] I got another 11 million views on the next video. In total, that product had made me over $70,000 with just a couple videos that took me maybe 30 minutes to film and edit. Now, if you guys are finding this breakdown valuable and you

[06:17] how to dramatically increase your sales in just three months, I will walk you through a full-blown program, weekly calls with me and my team, account and more. So, if you guys are interested in that, check the link down below in

[06:30] the description. Like I said, some of these tactics, the tactics itself do not work, but the psychology behind it still does. I caused curiosity right from the start of the video. I drove directly into a demo of the product itself. The

[06:43] retracting motion of the product itself was satisfying and also really nice to see when somebody who has that problem sees a way or a solution to fix it. And buying price. It's under $20 for this product. So people are willing to spend

[06:56] tie that into a price anchor on top of that video to get people, you know, Now, if you're up to this point in the video, you're probably thinking, "Okay, products consistently? How do I set up my Tik Tok shop? How do I get started

[07:10] money?" Then I highly recommend that you watch this video next.
