I've heard a fair amount of chatter in the internet marketing industry saying that trying to optimize content to win Google featured Snippets is essentially dead and the reason for that being that Google just doesn't show that many Snippets anymore if you don't know what I mean when I'm talking about Snippets it's this little section at the top of the search engine result page that gives a short answer to the question that you typed into Google three

years ago we did a study here at income school and we found that for the types of search queries that we would actually write a blog post to answer those queries had a snippet 74 of the time and if we're going to assume that Snippets have really declined you would expect that number to have gone down since three years ago when Snippets were kind of all in fashion but we decided to go do another study a
