AI Summary

This video analyzes the potential return of Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the upcoming Avengers films, specifically 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars'. It examines the post-credit scene of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', the Disney-Sony licensing agreement, and recent clues from the Russo brothers and Kevin Feige to predict when and how Spider-Man might appear.

[00:01]
Spider-Man's Return Confirmed

The post-credit scene of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' confirms Spider-Man will return, but the specific movie is not stated. Speculation suggests a cameo or post-credit scene in 'Avengers: Doomsday'.

[01:09]
Tom Holland's Contractual Obligations

The Disney-Sony agreement requires Tom Holland's Spider-Man to appear in MCU Avengers team-up films. With no solo Avengers movie between 'No Way Home' (2021) and 'Brand New Day' (2026), Marvel Studios may be owed appearances in 'Doomsday' and 'Secret Wars'.

[02:13]
Tom Holland's Knowledge of Downey's Return

Tom Holland revealed he knew about Robert Downey Jr.'s return as Dr. Doom before July 2024, suggesting he was involved in early 'Doomsday' planning, hinting at his potential appearance.

[03:29]
Post-Credit Scene Theories

The 'Brand New Day' post-credit scene shows a Spider-Man location in space, which could be Tom Holland's Peter being transported off Earth-616 or Tobey Maguire's universe (Earth-96283) arriving, pointing to 'Doomsday'.

[05:09]
Russo Brothers' Cryptic Post

The Russo brothers shared fan art of Spider-Man holding a king chess piece, which is central to 'Doomsday' marketing, fueling speculation about Spider-Man's role in the film.

[06:57]
Screenwriters' Involvement

Chris McKenna and Eric Summers, writers of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', left to work on the 'Doomsday' and 'Secret Wars' screenplays, indicating a strong narrative link between the films.

[09:48]
Kevin Feige's Comments

Kevin Feige said the success of 'Brand New Day' bodes well for 'Doomsday' and 'X-Men', emphasizing the shared universe and linking the films.

[10:01]
Marvel's Generous Character Lending

Marvel Studios lent Hulk, Punisher, and Yelena Belova to 'Brand New Day', which is unusual given Disney only profits 25%. This suggests Marvel is getting something big in return, possibly multiple Spider-Men in 'Doomsday' and 'Secret Wars'.

[12:16]
Battle World and Spider-Man Variants

The Russo brothers hint at Battle World, a world stitched from other universes, where Spider-Man variants like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield could appear, possibly in a post-credit scene of 'Doomsday'.

The evidence strongly suggests Spider-Man will appear in 'Avengers: Doomsday', likely in a post-credit scene or cameo, setting up a larger role in 'Secret Wars'. The Disney-Sony deal and narrative clues point to a multiverse-spanning appearance that ties directly into the upcoming Avengers films.

[00:01] Parker, Gan Gray, and Hulk are expected to return than Avengers Secret Wars. But could Tom Holland, Peter Parker returned sooner in Avengers Doomsday? I'm Eric Boss of the New Rockstars channel, and let's figure out how Sadie Sync, Gene

[00:13] return after Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Avengers: Secret Wars, and how for in Doomsday. Because the postredit scene of Brand New Day confirms that Spider-Man will return, but just didn't say in what movie. Back when Satie Sync

[00:26] it was also reported that her character would return in Secret Wars. But some that suggest that Tom Holland Spider-Man could return earlier in Doomsday, either in a cameo at the end of the film or just a postredit scene that sets up

[00:40] everything new that we have learned. And yes, I'm wearing our Spider-Man who's who design available at our merch store, nerdriot.shop. And we have designs on specifically in this movie, like Delmare's Deli. And the physics are

[00:54] huge thanks to all of our fans who are rocking our gear and posting selfies and rocking our gear and posting selfies and tagging us like our omega level Rouge and Justin Birthday Boy again and Booberry. Okay, as of this taping, Tom

[01:09] Holland has been confirmed to appear in neither Avengers Doomsday nor Secret show up in at least the second of those two films, if not both. The whole agreement between Sony and Disney's Marvel Studios to share the character of

[01:22] Sony's Spider-Man movies includes a stipulation that Tom Holland's Peter Parker will appear in MCU Avengers teamup films in between his solo no Avengers movie between Spider-Man No Way Home in 2021 and Spider-Man Brand

[01:36] New Day in 2026, I'm sure there are some at Marvel Studios who have been saying to Sony, "Eh, Tom Rothman, you owe us two movies where we get to feature Doomsday was planned to come out before

[01:48] Spider-Man Brand New Day with Doomsday first announced in July 2024 to have a release date of May 1st, 2026. Then the following April, the fourth Spider-Man movie was announced at Cineacon as Spider-Man: Brand New Day with a July

[02:00] 2026 release date. But then in May 2025, Disney pushed Doomsday back 6 months to December 18th, 2026, where it now is. when we were first trying to figure out what the plan for Doomsday was going to be back in 2024. Tom Holland appeared on

[02:13] the Rich Roll podcast in October 2024 and revealed that he knew before July 2024 that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning as Dr. Doom in the fifth >> You know, I've been speaking to Downey a lot, especially about him making his

[02:25] return, which is super exciting. >> He's gone on that exploration and he still came back to do more. >> That was a tough secret to sit on cuz I have a reputation for ruining things and I like

[02:38] a little loose lipped around secrets. >> I mean, no offense to Tom Holland. But why would anyone tell him that if he wasn't going to return in Avengers Doomsday, which at that point was scheduled to release on May 1st, 2026?

[02:50] As the months have gone by since then, there was no set chair for Tom Holland announcement. But, you know, there also Atwell or Katherine Newton at the time. And then the four teasers released at

[03:03] the end of 2025 and the full trailer released at Cineacon in April 2026 and then online in July 2026 and then the Doom Center trailer that I saw in Hall H. I'm just not sure how much room there would even be for Tom Holland Spider-Man

[03:16] always room in a postredit scene. But then there was Brand New Day's postredit scene where Ned's Spidey Tracker app identifies a new Spider-Man location in space. In various videos and shorts that I've made, I've laid out the theories

[03:29] that this could either be Tom Holland's Peter being transported off of Earth 616 space, or it could be Tobey Magcguire Peter's universe of Earth 96283 arriving Either way, I think it's something pointing to Avengers Doomsday. And I

[03:45] Spider-Man's next appearance if he wouldn't be somehow connected to just the movie that comes after it. This scene clearly feels like something to get people to come back to theaters this year in December. For the postredit

[03:59] First Steps, those were both scenes shot by the Russo brothers for Avengers Day director Destin Daniel Credin indicated he knew what it meant. There raps Drew Taylor where he writes, "He promised that viewers will find out what

[04:14] credits. Quote, I do think it's frustrating when these things are like left out in the open and you never see them. And Shani is one of those. It's have every intention of answering the question. Now, it's not clear from that

[04:28] that he has every intention of answering the question of the 10 rings postredit that he was asked here, the question of the Spidey Tracker app in the Brand New fact that he wants to answer one of those questions has me feeling

[04:41] satisfied. But Tom Holland was asked by BBC News on August 1st whether he'll be taken some media training. >> Will you be continuing in Spider-Man to watch this movie and that might answer your question.

[04:55] to see you in Doomsday? >> Again, I can't I can't answer those >> But now we've been seeing some odd clues. When it was confirmed that Spider-Man Brandy Day had the biggest opening weekend box office of all time,

[05:09] even dethroning Avengers Endgame in 2019, the Russer brothers courteously film breaks their box office record and share this magnanimous post celebrating the new champion. Huge congrats to Dustin, Tom, Zenaia, Jacob, John, Mark,

[05:22] producers Kevin, Amy, Avy, and Rachel, and the entire Spider-Man Brand New Day office opening weekend history. The gauntlet has been passed. Even though benefiting from inflation and the expansion of premium large format since

[05:36] 2019, it doesn't matter. Steven Spielberg did this for James Cameron James Cameron did it for the Russo brothers when Endgame topped Avatar. at least until these movies started re-releasing and trying to best each

[05:49] shared by the Russo brothers is not official Marvel artwork. It's really art created by independent concept artist Boss Logic, who has in the past worked professional commissions for film studios. The Russos wrote, "The gauntlet

[06:01] Spider-Man wearing the six Infinity Stones as rings, kind of looking like an rings, and he's draped in the American flag the way athletes do during the Olympics or after winning the Super Bowl or the NBA final. But it's Spider-Man

[06:15] holding the chest piece, a king. That is people speculating. Yes, again, this art Studios' artist Ryan Minering. It could there's a new box office king. But why would the Russo brothers post a photo

[06:29] showing Spider-Man holding a king chess piece that has been so central to Agbo's marketing strategy for Avengers Doomsday? From social posts showing Dr. Doom controlling a chess board to the focus on the king chess piece in the

[06:41] and Magneto's chess match to the Infinity Vision poster from Robert on a board where all the other pieces are shattered and the king casts a long odd wrinkle that we learned from the rap article is that the screenwriters of

[06:57] Spider-Man Brand New Day, Chris McKenna and Eric Summers left at some point to work on the screenplay for Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars. So, about the writing of the Doomsday script. At first, the Russos announced

[07:09] it was their longtime collaborator, Steven Mcily, who reportedly called them a follow-up to Endgame that had excited the directors into coming back to Marvel Michael Waldron would be helping with rewrites for Doomsday. After serving as

[07:23] writing the final shooting draft of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of write the original version of Avengers: Secret Wars when Kang the Conqueror was then in 2025, it was reported that Waldron would be working on McLey's

[07:37] learned that Waldron's next script will be Nova, which Kevin Feige confirmed to for Marvel Studios. And now we have the Doomsday. Yes, McKenna and Summers are great writers who have worked in several

[07:51] franchises, including the Jumanji movies. But doesn't this also seem to behind Spider-Man, No Way Home, and Brand New Day, in the room for Doomsday? Today's video is sponsored by Cloaked. Everybody here at New Rockstars are all

[08:04] fairly tech-savvy folks. None of us are falling for fishing scams or blasting out personal info on social media like some naive early adopter of Twitter in staff to pop our phone numbers into their platform in order to figure out

[08:17] around online, all of us were pretty confident that we wouldn't find much. We were so wrong. A ton of our data was out there. Not just phone numbers, but social security numbers, too. Data brokers sell your info to spammers,

[08:31] you sign up for something, you're creating more data for them to sell. Most data protection services just remove your data after it's already out problem is that you keep creating new vulnerabilities every time you sign up

[08:44] for anything. Cloaked solves that. Cloaked uncovers where your data is being sold and removes it. Plus, Cloaked lets you generate unlimited burner email whenever you sign up for something. Data brokers can't tie these accounts back to

[08:57] your identity. So, not only is your identity protected, but the data brokers the more of their information is worthless, the bigger of a hit the entire shady data industry takes. Cloaked also monitors the dark web to

[09:09] detect if your personal information has been exposed. Plus, has a built-in VPN and password manager. It gives you AI powered spam call filtering and even provides you with a $1 million identity theft insurance policy. Go to

[09:21] and enter your phone number for a free security scan. The scan only takes a few your social security number is for sale right now. And the longer you wait, the sold. If you're ready to take it back, use cloaked.com/newrostars

[09:35] to get 30% off any plan. And finally, there was this quote from Kevin Feige to Variety on what the excitement for Brand New Day means for Avengers Doomsday. And Feige responded interestingly saying, "For Avengers Doomsday and X-Men, it

[09:48] bodess very well. When a shared universe works, these are the results." Shared universe. Yeah, it really sounds like Kevin Feige wants us to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day as fully linked with Doomsday and with X-Men. And Spider-Man

[10:01] been finding it interesting that Marvel Studios allowed Sony to use three of its major characters in this fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man movie. As part of that Disney Sony licensing agreement that was renewed in 2019, when it comes

[10:15] to movies like Spider-Man No Way Home and Brand New Day, Sony financed these movies covering 75% of the cost while Disney Marvel covered 25% while Sony profits 75% of the box office revenue while Disney Marvel profits 25%.

[10:29] lucrative Spider-Man merchandising rights. And the toys, apparel, plushies, costumes, minifigs, all available for purchase at Disney parks are where the Holland Spider-Man movies, Marvel Studios would lend one major MCU

[10:43] characters. Like in Homecoming, it was obviously Iron Man, Tony Stark, but you Pepper Potts in there. In Far From Home, it was Nick Fury, but they got Happy Hogan and Maria Hill and Taos in there. And then in No Way Home, it was really

[10:57] and Happy Hogan and hey, Daredevil Matt Murdoch in there, too. But with Brand New Day, Marvel Studios gave Hulk and the Punisher and Elena Bova. Those are three A-lister heavy hitters for the MCU. And Hulk and the Punisher have huge

[11:11] roles in this story. Yelena Bova may be a cameo, but she's also a very important Avenger to the future of the franchise. That's a lot for a movie that Disney only profits 25% from. Also, considering the fact that this movie kind of becomes

[11:23] a Gan Gray mutant movie at some point. So really, that's like four huge Studios that they just gave a Sony movie. And I think the only reason that much to this shared co-production with Sony, where Sony would be reaping

[11:37] threequarters of the profits from it would be if Marvel Studios is getting something big in return, something more than the 25% of the brand new day profits in full merchandising. And I think Marvel Studios is getting Sony to

[11:49] lend more than one Spider-Man across Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars. Not just Tom Holland, but other Spider-Man across two Marvel movies that Disney gets 100% of the profit from. for what I imagine is a seven or eight

[12:02] figure licensing fee back to Sony. So, what would this look like? Well, one ends with Dr. Doom completing his mission to construct a new Earth out of Earths, a world that he calls Latviverion, but other Avengers refer to

[12:16] as Battle World and that on that world Tom Holland Peter Parker appears and so Here's what the Brewster brothers told Josh Horowitz when he asked them about Battle World. >> Infinity War Endgame high bar needles to

[12:29] Doomsday lead right into Secret Wars? Am I going to be asking big questions at >> I mean, we definitely have thought about them and conceived them as a for to

[12:41] the exact same way that Infinity War and Endgame did, but they cert

[12:53] who's going to be in Secret Wars when when the goes down? We we I mean we won't confirm or deny whether Battle World appears in either of these films. Uh and we cannot confirm or deny who appears in Battle World if Battle World

[13:08] >> Yeah, there's no way Joe Russo even says Battle World three times in rapid the movies he and his brother Anthony are working on. I mean, everyone in the Doomsday cast is hinting at this. Ghost Ava star actress Hannah John Cayman

[13:22] recently said of Doomsday quote the scale is just so big when you think it can't get bigger it can. In Jonathan Hickman's version of Battle World, there adaptation Spider-Man variants could all congregate. There's Arachnneia, a region

[13:36] death of Gwen Stacy's, Spider-Man vanished from it. Mayor Norman Osborne heroes from other dimensions are kind of respawned here including Ana Corissone, Billy Bradock, Havier Pbakar, Gwen Stacy, and Peter Porker. Then there's

[13:51] Spider Island, ruled by the Spider Queen, a version of Manhattan where the spider virus, turning them into these monstrous arachnids. Agent Venom, resistance here. And then there's the center of the battle world continent,

[14:05] Manhattan that's really split into two parts. Manhattan of Earth 616 and Manhattan of Earth 1610 fused together into one city with doubles of things like Stark Tower and Shield. And hovering above this fused city is

[14:18] Attilan, the kingdom of the Inhumans, and below it is Monster Metropolis. So, Wars, I do think they're going to keep things localized around this new version stitched together from the other Marvel movie universes. The Earth 616 Manhattan

[14:32] with our new Avengers Tower, the Earth 828 Manhattan with the Baxter building, and the Earth 10005 Manhattan with the good Statue of Liberty from the Magneto will be in this Manhattan where Tom Holland, Spider-Man, Satie Sinsteen

[14:46] appear, including some Spider-Man variants played by Tobey Magcguire and going to be a sequence we're going to see at the end of Avengers Doomsday or perhaps in a post-redit scene that sets up Secret Wars. So now the question I

[14:59] Magcguire Spider-Man appearing in Doomsday are true that the Spider-Man of Earth 96283 is what Ned Spidey Tracker app is pointing to. Do we think Toby's it's being destroyed in the opening scene of Doomsday? Or will we see him

[15:15] rejoining Tom Holland Peter to marvel at Tom's new organic webbing in a fused New Doomsday? Comment down below with which direction you think they'll go. And a Underground subscribers, Ricardo Martinez, for supporting us at the

[15:29] the NR Underground feed, subscribers can listen to our Monday mailbag podcast also still doing our Who Invited This Nerd series. Actually, here's a little talk about some dumb mistakes I made recently at Comic-Con. So, with all this

[15:44] school junior, I was like, I know what I'm doing now. I think I started to fly a little too close to the sun because this year I really wanted to try to report eyewitness things of what I was seeing and hearing. I I wanted to inform

[15:58] the public about like what the word on the street is and I learned a lot of valuable lessons about currently in progress news and rumor and scoop reporting from the scene in San Diego. Um I don't normally do that kind

[16:13] per my sources because I don't have that many sources. And the sources that I do have, I normally just keep internal to help the New Rockstars team plan our production schedule and our programming slate. And I'm not trying to get word

[16:27] out there that way. That's not really the hustle I'm involved with. But while get a little too big for my britches. And I'm like, okay. And uh so there was two things that I reported while I was on the ground that actually maybe three

[16:41] that um were either not accurate or just complete like hoaxes or rumors that were just like not true at all. Uh and also just taken out of context that really I should have known better and phrased it

[16:57] episode and get your Monday mailbag question answered by me by clicking the link in the description below or going to nr underground.supcast.com. Big thanks to Studio Tech Brian Kim, New Rockstars editors Joshua Steven Herd and
