AI Summary

The video presents the best World of Warcraft specs for solo and pick-up group (PUG) players heading into the Midnight expansion, emphasizing practical performance over theoretical 'meta' rankings. The creator argues that consistent damage, self-sufficiency, and group support are more important for PUGs than peak burst potential.

[1:48]
Havoc Demon Hunter: Self-Sufficient & Mobile

Top-tier mobility, strong defensives, and self-healing make it one of the safest DPS specs for solo and PUG content. Low dependency on group coordination and consistent damage output help avoid the feast-or-famine issues of specs like Fire Mage or Frost Death Knight.

[3:56]
Unholy Death Knight: Tanky & Reworked

The reworked spec boasts excellent durability and sustain, making it ideal for solo delves and the new 'Prey' system. Its damage profile is now less setup-dependent, with a more straightforward rotation that feels powerful even in unorganized groups.

[5:53]
Beast Mastery Hunter: Ultimate Solo Comfort

The pet tank provides unparalleled self-sufficiency for open-world content and solo instances. The rotation is simple and mobile, allowing players to maintain damage while avoiding mechanics. Ideal for players who want a chill, log-in/log-out experience.

[7:42]
Retribution Paladin: The PUG Carry

Excels due to its massive utility suite (Blessings, off-heals, Bubble) that can prevent group wipes. High consistent damage and a forgiving rotation make it a top choice for players who want to stabilize chaotic groups.

[9:42]
Frost Mage: Control & Kiting King

Offers exceptional crowd control and kiting potential, making solo content trivial. Its control tools (slows, CC) are invaluable in PUGs where mechanics are often missed. Currently has high burst damage, making it strong for Mythic+.

[11:36]
Demonology Warlock: Pet Tank & Trivial Solo Content

The Felguard pet tanks effectively, making Tier 11 delves easy. The spec has strong single-target and AoE damage, multiple interrupts, and a straightforward rotation. An excellent all-rounder for both solo and group play.

[13:12]
Fury Warrior: Surprising Solo Potential

The overhauled talent tree provides massive self-healing (Bloodthirst, Victory Rush), leech, and a 'cheat death' mechanic (Kill or Be Killed). Has high on-demand burst and good crowd control. Excels in chaotic PUGs due to self-sustain.

[15:16]
Restoration Shaman: PUG Healer Star

The spec is built to stabilize chaos with tools like Storm String Totem (full group heal), a kick, and strong AoE control (Capacitor Totem). Its straightforward rotation and group buffs make it a top pick for PUG healing.

[17:03]
Restoration Druid: Consistent HPS & Adaptability

Offers high and consistent healing output (HPS) with strong mobility and survivability. Its group buffs (Mark of the Wild, Stampeding Roar) and battle rez make it a flexible healer for any group composition.

[18:13]
Protection Paladin: The Superhero Tank

Possesses the best utility toolkit of any tank (Blessings, off-heals, interrupts), allowing it to solve almost any problem in a PUG. High DPS and strong personal defensives make it the safest and most powerful tank pick for Midnight.

[19:41]
Vengeance Demon Hunter: Aggressive & Modern

Offers exceptional mobility, self-sustain, and damage for tanks, allowing them to control the pace of a dungeon. The 'Untethered Rage' talent provides frequent, powerful survivability windows. Has a high skill ceiling for pushing high-tier content.

For solo and PUG players heading into Midnight, prioritize specs that offer self-sufficiency, consistent damage, and strong utility over spreadsheet meta rankings. The best choices are those that can carry groups recovering from chaos and don't rely on perfect coordination.

[00:00] I think most people play World of

[00:01] Warcraft the same way I do now. You log

[00:04] in when you can. You try to get your

[00:05] stuff done, pug a mythic plus key or

[00:07] two, and just try to have fun without it

[00:09] being such a headache. I've realized as

[00:12] I'm getting older, I don't have the time

[00:14] or the patience to build the perfect

[00:15] group comp, sit in Discord, and play the

[00:17] game like it's a job anymore. So, in

[00:19] today's video, I'm going to show you the

[00:21] best midnight specs you could main for

[00:24] solo players and people who mostly pug.

[00:27] And no, I'm not talking about what's S

[00:29] tier on a spreadsheet. I'm talking about

[00:31] the specs that feel good, can carry

[00:34] during chaos moments if need be, and let

[00:36] you make real progress even when you're

[00:38] playing alone in Delves and Prey. Okay,

[00:41] I want to show you guys what I've been

[00:42] playing before Midnight officially

[00:44] releases. It's called Lort, and it's a

[00:46] brand new 1 to eight player co-op action

[00:48] rogike that just launched on Steam, and

[00:50] it's honestly one of the most chaotic

[00:52] and hilarious games I've played in a

[00:54] minute. You and your friends, you drop

[00:55] into this cursed fantasy world, and you

[00:57] start stacking up to 90 absurd powerups,

[01:00] and you go from a ridiculous, goofy

[01:02] character that is barely doing anything

[01:04] into just a full-on god at the end if

[01:07] you power up properly. You swap your

[01:09] weapons, and it's all about stacking

[01:10] these together to create some crazy

[01:12] combos. You're choosing between melee,

[01:14] range, magic builds, and then of course

[01:16] your mid-run class upgrades. Every run

[01:19] feels brand new and different, and it's

[01:21] just pure chaos. So, you're reviving

[01:22] your friends. You're blowing up the

[01:24] tutor to rally that squad and just

[01:26] trying to survive long enough to break

[01:28] the game. So, if you want to give this

[01:29] game a try, try out Lort now. It's on

[01:31] Steam and it's under $10 right now for

[01:34] launch thanks to the discount currently

[01:35] active. That's only live for just a

[01:37] couple weeks now. So, click the link

[01:38] below or even wishlist the game to

[01:40] remind you whenever it's on sale. And

[01:41] check it out, man. I promise you will

[01:43] not be disappointed. Thanks again for

[01:44] Lor for sponsoring today's video. Now,

[01:47] let's get back to the content. Starting

[01:48] off first, Havoc Demon Hunter is easily

[01:51] one of the safest specs you can play if

[01:52] you're solo or looking for pickup

[01:54] groups. Havoc is one of the few DPS

[01:56] specs in the game that genuinely feels

[01:58] like it can just take care of itself.

[02:01] You have some of the best mobility in

[02:03] the game, really strong defensive

[02:05] toolkit with all them being updated this

[02:07] expansion, and more than enough sustain

[02:09] to survive messy situations that would

[02:11] most likely delete other DPS specs. So

[02:14] whether you're doing openw world

[02:15] content, pushing delves, or even the

[02:18] brand new prey system where you're on

[02:19] your own, Havoc Demon Hunter, you're

[02:22] always just feeling solid. The spec is

[02:24] built to stay alive and keep moving. I

[02:27] would say in particular, when you do

[02:28] join pickup groups with Havoc, though,

[02:30] they're one of the best specs for simply

[02:32] just how low dependent they are on your

[02:34] team and setups. You don't need the tank

[02:37] to pull a nuclear amount of mobs. You

[02:39] don't need to line up everything with a

[02:41] one or two minute cool down. don't need

[02:43] a ton of group coordination. Even when

[02:45] things feel super or unorganized with

[02:47] Havoc, you dash around, you pop some

[02:49] coolowns, deal your super consistent

[02:51] high DPS while healing yourself with all

[02:53] your natural leech, and you're good to

[02:55] go. One of the most slept on things I

[02:57] would say in pug groups, ladies and

[02:58] gentlemen, is needing to have consistent

[03:01] damage, not just high sims are trying to

[03:04] peak and hit like 5 million DPS. That's

[03:07] why specs like fire mage, frost death

[03:10] knight, and the old subtlety rogue, they

[03:12] really struggle in pickup groups because

[03:15] it's too hard to predict what the pole

[03:18] is going to look like. And if you

[03:19] misplay, you're going to suffer. That's

[03:22] why specs like Havoc Demon Hunter,

[03:24] Retribution Paladin, Outlaw Rogue,

[03:26] they're great for just super high

[03:28] consistent DPS that can keep the

[03:31] pressure up no matter what. Not only

[03:33] that, the rotation for Havoc is easy

[03:34] enough to where even if you do mess up,

[03:37] it doesn't feel like your entire damage

[03:38] kit just collapses. It's a very smooth

[03:41] flow spec and you can recover very

[03:43] easily. I'd say if you're trying to play

[03:45] on your own, you plug in, you know, some

[03:47] mythic plus keys every once in a while,

[03:48] your delves, your prey system. Havoc is

[03:50] easily one of the cleanest choices you

[03:51] can make. Very, very self-sufficient,

[03:54] straightforward class to main. Moving

[03:56] on, next we have the brand new reworked

[03:58] unholy death knight. And this can

[04:00] absolutely be a solid option for anybody

[04:02] out there looking for something new.

[04:04] Unholy is one of those specs that

[04:05] naturally checks that self-sufficiency

[04:08] box because you're by far the tankiest

[04:10] class in all of World of Warcraft. You

[04:12] have great durability compared to

[04:13] everyone else, built-in sustain, you

[04:15] know, you got your multiple defensives.

[04:17] So, if you love doing your world quest,

[04:19] you know, pushing delves, try out the

[04:20] new prey system, or just doing solo

[04:22] stuff in general where, you know, you

[04:23] don't have your healer babysitting you,

[04:25] Unholy is a solid option. Now, of

[04:27] course, what I'm about to say is a plus,

[04:29] but it is important to know it's not as

[04:30] strong as some of the other classes in

[04:32] this video, but of course with Unholy,

[04:34] you do have your pets. You have a ton of

[04:36] comfortability with that as well. Uh,

[04:38] through your rotation now, as unholy,

[04:40] you summon all your pets and you deal

[04:42] like 90% of your damage being entirely

[04:44] ranged. So, previously, unholy death

[04:46] knight was incredibly dependent on, you

[04:48] know, very large poles, a lot of like

[04:51] five, six, seven global cooldowns of

[04:53] proper setup. You got to apply your

[04:54] festering wounds, spread your diseases,

[04:56] get your death and decay down, and then

[04:58] you could start ramping. It was awful.

[05:00] Not anymore, though. At this point,

[05:02] unholy is a couple buttons to get up and

[05:04] rolling. You're absolutely blasting, and

[05:07] you're not a spec that needs to have

[05:08] everything line up anymore. You simply

[05:10] roll into a pack, spread your diseases,

[05:12] get your army going, and then you're off

[05:14] to the races. Now, Unholy Death Knight

[05:16] doesn't have the most utility in the

[05:18] game. I'm not going to lie. But they

[05:20] have a couple things that can really

[05:21] save a group. You have multiple grips to

[05:23] grip in those caster mobs. You have good

[05:25] AoE disruption. You have your powerful

[05:27] AMZ which can really save your group

[05:29] depending on the big heal checks on

[05:31] certain bosses. So, you have enough to

[05:33] where people would want you, but most

[05:35] importantly, your damage profile is just

[05:36] some of the best in the game right now.

[05:38] And you can pretty much carry any group

[05:40] if you know how to DPS well. Midnight is

[05:42] going to be your expansion where you're

[05:43] grinding solo, pugging keys, uh you

[05:45] know, whenever you can. You want

[05:46] something that feels durable,

[05:47] consistent, powerful with a brand new

[05:48] rework. I think Unholy is the best uh

[05:51] spec for you. Moving on next, we have an

[05:53] absolute layup here. This is the Beast

[05:55] Mastery Hunter. Now, listen, if you're a

[05:56] solo player or you live in pickup

[05:58] groups, this might genuinely be the most

[06:01] simple and comfortable spec you can play

[06:03] in the game. Beast Mastery is all about

[06:06] self-sufficiency because you're never

[06:08] alone. You have your pet that is tanking

[06:10] for you at an unprecedented rate. It

[06:12] holds all the aggro, takes all the

[06:14] pressure off of you, and deals tons of

[06:16] damage. So, if you're doing openw world

[06:18] quest, farming, pushing delves, or doing

[06:20] prey, BM Hunter is probably the easiest

[06:23] spec in all of World of Warcraft for

[06:25] this. What makes this spec so good at

[06:27] solo content is that you're one of the

[06:28] few specs in the game where you can walk

[06:30] into something really undergeeared

[06:33] more than you should and still be okay

[06:36] because you've got tools for anything

[06:37] the game can throw at you. Not only

[06:39] that, they're very low dependent on team

[06:41] setup and comp. You don't need some

[06:42] perfect group synergy or great

[06:44] coordination. You show up, you press

[06:46] your beastial wrath every 30 seconds,

[06:48] you spam your AoE, you know, kill

[06:50] commands by pushing your wild thrash and

[06:52] uh yeah, you're pretty much good to go.

[06:54] That is almost the entirety of the

[06:55] rotation. And it's quite fun, honestly.

[06:57] Once again, I think it's very important

[06:59] to look at consistent and median based

[07:02] damage rather than, you know, who's

[07:04] sending the highest burst damage with

[07:05] their cooldowns up. Because the truth of

[07:07] the matter is, ladies and gentlemen,

[07:08] nothing ever goes right when you're in

[07:10] pugs or group content. And you need to

[07:12] be able to do your full DPS rotation

[07:15] consistently while being in panic mode.

[07:18] And Beast Mastery Hunter is all about

[07:19] that. You can do all your damage on the

[07:21] move while dodging mechanics and

[07:23] avoiding all the crap. And I will say I

[07:25] think Hunter doesn't bring a lot of

[07:26] utility of course, but they still bring

[07:28] blood lust. They have a couple of items

[07:30] of control. Just know that you're

[07:32] growing into groups to deal damage,

[07:33] avoid mechanics, and not die, and go

[07:35] about your day. Beast Mastery Hunter is

[07:37] a very easy, chill, you log in, progress

[07:40] your character, log out spec. Moving on,

[07:42] next, we have the Retribution Paladin.

[07:44] And this is one of the most main

[07:46] character specs you can play if you're a

[07:48] solo player or you spend most your time

[07:50] in pugs. Now, what I personally love

[07:52] about retribution is that it's not all

[07:54] about dealing damage. It's about being

[07:56] the guy in the group that can look at a

[07:58] completely doomed pole set to just wipe

[08:01] everybody and then you take over and

[08:03] make sure your group doesn't wipe. It's

[08:05] one of the specs in the game that you

[08:07] have just so many panic buttons, not

[08:09] only for yourself, but you have panic

[08:11] buttons for your teammates. And on top

[08:13] of it all, you're still blasting every

[08:15] 30 seconds with your wake of ashes burst

[08:17] damage windows. Remember, ladies and

[08:18] gentlemen, pickup groups don't fail in

[08:20] Mythic Plus because your DPS was 2%

[08:23] lower than the meta. They fail because

[08:25] somebody either dies at the wrong time,

[08:27] the tank will pull too many, or your

[08:28] healer falls behind and doesn't call

[08:30] that they're out of mana. Retribution

[08:32] Paladin is one of the very few specs in

[08:34] the game that can literally prevent any

[08:36] spiral in content from happening. You

[08:39] have blessing of sacrifice you could put

[08:40] on the tank. Blessing of protection you

[08:42] could put on the healer. Ginormous off

[08:44] heals with word of glory. You have a

[08:45] full health heal with lay on hands. You

[08:47] got your bubble to make yourself immune.

[08:50] I mean you name it. The retribution

[08:52] paladin has an answer for it. Now when

[08:54] it comes to pure solo content, Rhett is

[08:57] also really comfortable for that as

[08:58] well. It's tanky and durable. Built-in

[09:00] healing of course the great defensive

[09:02] toolkit. You can handle bosses and

[09:04] elites no problem. It's one of those

[09:06] specs where you can just run in, press

[09:07] wake of ashes, pop all your cooldowns,

[09:09] and everything's going to be dying very

[09:11] quickly. Retribution is just that rare

[09:13] combo of very high consistent damage and

[09:15] clutch utility. It is a oneofone in my

[09:18] opinion when it comes to DPS. Easy to

[09:20] execute, very smooth rotation, and I

[09:23] love that even when you're not playing

[09:24] perfect on Rhett, you're at least doing

[09:26] something useful if you focus on your

[09:29] utility in group support. You don't have

[09:31] to be a god tier player, but if you have

[09:34] a high shielding, you can do some

[09:35] ridiculous stuff on this spec.

[09:37] Absolutely love retribution for solo

[09:39] play. They are a pug carry. Next up, if

[09:42] you're looking for a caster, we got to

[09:43] talk about frost mage. Now, I know a lot

[09:45] of people are going to hear this and

[09:46] think, "Oh my god, mage, I thought they

[09:48] were hard to play. I thought they were,

[09:50] you know, nothing but glass cannon sky.

[09:51] What are you talking about?" But

[09:53] throughout history, yes, that may be

[09:54] true. Heading into Midnight though,

[09:56] Frost Mage is easily one of the best

[09:57] solo and pug specs in the game because

[10:00] it has the most control in the game.

[10:03] Now, some of you may think control is

[10:05] not a big deal, but let me tell you

[10:06] something. If you run a delve on a frost

[10:08] mage, you can run them super

[10:10] undergeeared simply because no mobs can

[10:12] never actually touch you. You're kiting

[10:15] them constantly. You have permanent

[10:17] slows up to like 60 to 70% on everybody

[10:20] and you're just destroying them all in

[10:21] an AoE fashion. It's actually quite

[10:23] hilarious. And honestly, I think it

[10:25] needs to get nerfed. If you want my

[10:27] honest opinion, I was doing tier 11

[10:29] delves in the War Within on my Frost

[10:30] Mage, which such horrible gear and

[10:33] dominating them because no mob literally

[10:37] could not touch me. It was hilarious.

[10:39] Now, now, not only that though, it

[10:41] translates very well into mythic plus. I

[10:43] would say the real problem isn't

[10:45] necessarily the fact that damage is not

[10:47] high enough in pickup groups. It's

[10:48] really the little tangible things aren't

[10:50] being done properly. The everyday things

[10:52] that you should be doing. It's it's what

[10:54] no one is doing. No kicks are going out.

[10:56] Defensives aren't being used properly.

[10:58] Mobs aren't being crowdcontrolled on

[10:59] cooldown. Frost mage is great for this

[11:02] sort of thing. Not only that, when it

[11:03] comes to a damage profile, frost mage is

[11:06] nuclear right now. Their damage is out

[11:08] of control for a mythic plus

[11:10] environment. It's still good enough to

[11:11] compete for single target as well. So,

[11:13] it's really, really straightforward,

[11:15] fluid, and fun. I love that this spec is

[11:17] forgiving. It doesn't require a lot of

[11:19] like mastering of the spec to know

[11:21] what's going on. Very consistent. I love

[11:23] the control. I love the utility you

[11:25] bring with your arcane intellect. You

[11:27] know, time warp and blood lust effect

[11:29] sort of deal. And I think frost mage is

[11:31] one of the best DPS specs you can main

[11:33] in general heading into midnight. Now,

[11:36] next up, another caster that's set to

[11:37] dominate. We got to talk about the

[11:39] demonology warlock. Now, I mained

[11:41] Warlock in season two of the War Within.

[11:42] I'm going to be honest. Demonology felt

[11:44] like I was cheating anytime I had to do

[11:46] solo content like tier 11 delves. You

[11:49] literally just show up to the delve with

[11:51] an army of demons and your fell guard,

[11:53] he is so tanky, it makes things in my

[11:56] opinion just trivial. Now on the

[11:58] midnight beta, demonology right now is

[12:00] one of the strongest singlet target DPS

[12:02] specs in the game. Not only that, their

[12:05] whole kit and design pretty much

[12:07] destroys delves in general. So, when it

[12:09] comes to the brand new prey system and

[12:11] delves, they're going to be one of the

[12:12] best options in the game, bar none. But

[12:15] because your AoE DPS is still high while

[12:17] your single target is one of the best,

[12:19] it makes them great for raids and mythic

[12:21] plus. Not only that, the spec is very

[12:24] straightforward compared to what it used

[12:25] to be, man. And I think a lot of people,

[12:27] you know, you may think, oh, just cuz

[12:28] it's a Warlock spec, it's going to be

[12:29] difficult, but in reality, it's actually

[12:31] very straightforward and very clean now.

[12:33] I love personally for demonology

[12:35] warlock, you can lock down casters like

[12:37] pretty much entirely alone because you

[12:39] have multiple kicks now with your fell

[12:41] guard, you know, toss, your axe toss,

[12:42] and then your grimoire fell ravager

[12:44] talent now, which gives you an extra

[12:46] kick. You also have shadow fury, your

[12:48] AOE stun. You bring your hellstones, you

[12:50] bring your battle resurrection with your

[12:51] soul stone. I mean, I think demonology

[12:54] is one hell of a spec right now. So you

[12:55] combine the fact that they have elite

[12:57] single target damage, failgard tanking

[12:59] for solo content, straightforward

[13:00] rotation that's smooth, heavy crowd

[13:02] control for mythic plus, they just

[13:03] become one of the most solid solo and

[13:06] pug player specs in the game, bar none,

[13:08] and I think they're a no-brainer if you

[13:10] like warlock. Moving on to our final DPS

[13:12] spec, we have probably the biggest

[13:14] surprise, and believe it or not, we got

[13:15] to talk about the fury warrior. Now, I

[13:17] know, I know what you're thinking. A

[13:18] warrior making the solo content list,

[13:21] Sky, what the hell are you talking

[13:22] about? Are you taking those crazy pills?

[13:24] Well, I might be because Fury Warriors

[13:26] talent tree just got overhauled. But

[13:28] with that, it gave them so many more

[13:30] defensive capabilities above your

[13:32] average melee DPS that their self-

[13:34] sustain is out of control. They kept

[13:37] enrage regeneration as a defensive.

[13:39] There's a ton of talents that amplify

[13:41] bloodthirst self-healing, so it heals

[13:43] you for a good amount anytime you use

[13:44] it. Now, rally and cry got buffed when

[13:47] you're not in a raid. You have impending

[13:48] victory on a mob whenever you kill it,

[13:50] which is a 20% heal. You have natural 6%

[13:53] leech on all your attacks. And then to

[13:55] cap it all off, you have the brand new

[13:56] talent, kill or be killed, where when

[13:58] you would sustain fatal damage, you

[14:00] instead fly into an unstoppable rage

[14:03] where if you kill the guy, you don't

[14:04] actually die. Think of it like a trying

[14:06] to ultimate in League of Legends. It's

[14:08] absolutely ridiculous. So, if there's

[14:11] solo potential in difficult content such

[14:13] as tier 11 delves and the new prey

[14:15] system is very good, I think it'll

[14:17] translate well in mythic plus and solo

[14:19] content such as that. Now, what I

[14:21] personally love about Fury Warrior,

[14:23] probably more than any other spec in the

[14:25] game, is that you're not sitting around

[14:27] hoping for some cooldowns to come up to

[14:29] deal your damage. You literally charge

[14:31] into the pole and you are ready to throw

[14:34] hands. Fury is amazing for pickup groups

[14:36] because you have incredible self-

[14:38] sustain, crazy ondemand damage whenever

[14:41] you need it, good crowd control, one of

[14:42] the best apex designs in the game. You

[14:44] got storm bolt, shockwave, you got your

[14:46] low cooldown kick, and whenever you do

[14:48] have your cooldowns going, you deal some

[14:50] of the highest burst damage in the game.

[14:51] So, I think fury warrior is one of the

[14:53] best specs in Midnight in general. But,

[14:55] I'm going to be honest, I was so

[14:56] surprised by how great they are in solo

[14:59] content. It is it is really, really just

[15:01] a cherry on top for me. Not only that,

[15:03] you have good utility now, I would

[15:05] think, with your attack power buff

[15:06] getting buffed up to 8%. Rallying Cry

[15:09] being substantially stronger outside of

[15:10] raiding environments. And I think

[15:12] overall, Fury Warrior is doing really

[15:14] solid. Moving on to our first healer, we

[15:16] got the Restoration Shaman. Now, listen,

[15:18] I'm just going to say it straight up. If

[15:19] you're a pug healer and you're someone

[15:20] who likes to play solo and just get into

[15:23] LFG, this is one of the safest and most

[15:25] carry capable specs right now in

[15:27] Midnight. Now, restoration shamans, they

[15:29] not only heal at a pretty high level if

[15:31] you know what you're doing, it

[15:32] stabilizes chaos very well. As we all

[15:36] know in pickup groups more than

[15:37] anything, things just tend to go wrong

[15:40] more often than not. Pugs don't wipe

[15:42] once again because healing numbers are a

[15:44] bit too low or the damage is slightly

[15:46] off. Pugs wipe because everything will

[15:48] just go wrong at the same time. People

[15:50] stand and stuff. Casts don't get kicked.

[15:52] The tanks will overpull. Defenses don't

[15:54] get pressed. Restoration Shaman feels

[15:56] like they're built for moments like

[15:58] that. Your Apex Talent, Storm String

[16:00] Totem, pretty much will just full heal

[16:02] the entire group whenever you activate

[16:04] it. So, it's one of the most impactful

[16:06] Apex talents in the game. You have great

[16:08] control with Capacitor totem every

[16:10] single pole. And then you're now the

[16:11] only healer in the game left with a

[16:14] kick. Earth Shield and Riptide do a ton

[16:16] of healing for your tank and you don't

[16:17] even need to micromanage him. all packed

[16:19] up in a very, very simple,

[16:21] straightforward rotation where your

[16:22] buttons feel very impactful whenever you

[16:25] press them. Literally, one of the

[16:27] biggest reasons I even made this video

[16:29] is the fact that Shaman in general just

[16:31] feels like they are pug superstars, man.

[16:34] And I'm looking for an excuse to talk

[16:36] about it. Shaman is so comfortable. You

[16:37] don't need perfect coordination to make

[16:39] your group strong and your kit play out.

[16:41] You don't need proper group play to be

[16:43] built around you or good comms and

[16:45] communication and discord. You walk into

[16:47] any pug, you bring your insane value

[16:49] with your group buff, you got your blood

[16:51] lust, and you're just doing very well.

[16:52] So, if I'm being completely honest, if

[16:53] you're heading into midnight where

[16:54] you're dedicated on playing solo or just

[16:57] healing pugs, I think restoration shaman

[17:00] probably is one of the best picks in the

[17:01] entire game. Next up for healers, I got

[17:03] to bring up the restoration druid. Now,

[17:05] listen, I'm going to keep this short and

[17:06] sweet. I think Restoration Druid is

[17:08] probably the most consistent and just

[17:10] overall high healing per second healer

[17:12] in the game at the moment. And in

[17:14] particular, what I personally really

[17:15] enjoy about restoration is that you can

[17:17] heal very high while doing everything

[17:20] else you need to simultaneously. So you

[17:23] pretty much you put your rejuvenations,

[17:24] you pop wild growth on everybody, and

[17:26] then you throw your lifeling

[17:30] on movement, mechanics, positioning,

[17:32] maybe some extra damage, popping in and

[17:34] out of, you know, either cat or moonkin

[17:36] form, and you're good to go. Not only

[17:37] that, when it comes to personal

[17:39] survivability, I mean, they're so

[17:41] durable and mobile. It really feels like

[17:42] druid can survive most situations. Some

[17:45] other healers cannot. I think what's

[17:47] also really valuable is their grouping

[17:49] potential. You got Ursil's Vortex for

[17:51] the AoE crowd control. They have the

[17:53] best group buff in the game with Mark of

[17:54] the Wild. They have a battle

[17:56] resurrection. You got stampeding roar.

[17:58] So basically, you could just plug them

[18:00] into any group and they will fit no

[18:02] problem. I think restoration druid right

[18:04] now is a knockout across the board in

[18:06] terms of just HPS and adaptability for

[18:09] any group. So, I really, really like

[18:11] that about Restoration. Moving on to our

[18:13] first tank slot, we have, of course, the

[18:15] superhero protection paladin. I'm going

[18:18] to make this once again short and sweet.

[18:19] If you're the type of player who likes

[18:21] to tank in pickup groups most of the

[18:23] time, prop paladin is the safest and

[18:26] most powerful spec you can play at

[18:28] Midnight because you're not just

[18:29] tanking. You can literally do every

[18:31] other role entirely alone. Propalley is

[18:34] the kind of tank that can walk into a

[18:36] messy pug and instantly make it feel

[18:39] organized because your toolkit is built

[18:41] around control and problem solving. You

[18:44] got answers to every problem in the

[18:45] game. You have a ton of interrupts,

[18:47] controls, and silences for caster mobs,

[18:49] so that can never happen. You have some

[18:51] of the best defensive toolkits in the

[18:52] game for yourself, so you should be fine

[18:54] if you know what you're doing. You have

[18:56] the best utility out of any tank in the

[18:58] game with blessing of sacrifice,

[18:59] blessing of protection, incredible

[19:01] offheels with word of glory, lay on

[19:03] hands for yourself, for somebody else.

[19:04] And not only that, you have some of the

[19:06] highest DPS in the game, too. So, uh,

[19:08] yeah, you know what? Uh, protection

[19:10] paladin, you name it, they got it. So,

[19:11] in pugs where, you know, people miss

[19:13] kicks, the damage could be low

[19:14] sometimes, the healing feels a little

[19:16] bit off, as a prop paladin, you can

[19:18] solve every single problem. Not only

[19:19] that, you're one of the more durable

[19:20] tanks now heading into the game with

[19:22] their talent and the natural damage

[19:23] mitigation adjustments. I'm just going

[19:25] to be honest, protection paladin is a

[19:27] oneof one. There's not a class like it.

[19:29] So, if you're heading into midnight an

[19:30] expansion where you want to tank, carry

[19:33] these random groups and feel like a

[19:34] superhero, prop paladin is the best

[19:37] spec. No question about it. And then

[19:39] finally, we got to talk about the

[19:41] vengeance demon hunter. Now, I would say

[19:42] if you want a more aggressive and

[19:45] modernized approach to tanking,

[19:47] vengeance is one of the best specs in

[19:48] Midnight. I would say the biggest thing

[19:51] that makes Vengeance so strong is number

[19:53] one, their mobility is through the roof,

[19:55] which means in a real pickup group

[19:57] environment and solo queue environment,

[19:59] they can control the pace and push the

[20:01] pace very well, which believe it or not

[20:03] is valuable. And number two, as of right

[20:05] now, their damage and self- sustain is

[20:08] some of, if not the best in the entire

[20:10] game. On top of that, Vengeance right

[20:12] now is extremely durable, which is

[20:15] crazy. The spec is constantly

[20:17] self-healing, sustaining itself while

[20:19] being very aggressive, high damage, high

[20:22] mobility, and you have a ton of tools to

[20:24] support your group as well. My favorite

[20:25] thing about Vengeance, I think, has to

[20:27] be their apex talent though, untethered

[20:29] rage. It gives you free procs and

[20:30] metamorphosis, and you're pretty much

[20:32] just unkillable at that point, and that

[20:34] happens very consistently. So with

[20:35] Vengeance, you have a tank that can push

[20:37] the pace, deal great damage, great

[20:39] utility with grip, and their magical

[20:40] debuff on enemies for caster comps such

[20:42] as, you know, vengeance demon hunter,

[20:44] augmentation evoker, frost mage on holy

[20:45] DK sort of deal. And they're just built

[20:48] to dominate the leaderboard at that

[20:49] point. So yes, if you're looking for a

[20:51] tank that could really push really,

[20:53] really high tier, I would say this one

[20:55] has the highest ceiling. But yes, ladies

[20:57] and gentlemen, that is going to wrap up

[20:58] this solo and pugging main guide heading

[21:00] into midnight. Listen, I'm a sucker for

[21:02] playing on my own, and I got to say,

[21:04] there are definitely a couple classes

[21:05] that made this list that made me rethink

[21:07] my main choice heading into Midnight.
