37sPaladins offer unmatched versatility with tank, healer, and DPS roles, making them a top pick for indecisive players.
▶ Play ClipThis video is a comprehensive guide to choosing a main class for the upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion. The host, Sky, reviews all 13 classes, detailing their strengths, spec changes, new Apex talents, and skill curves to help players decide which class to main. The guide covers Paladin, Druid, Priest, Hunter, Rogue, Mage, Warlock, Warrior, Shaman, Death Knight, Monk, Demon Hunter, and Evoker.
Paladins have high utility with blessings, auras, off-healing, and combat resurrection. They can play tank, healer, or DPS.
Retribution's Apex talent is passive, adding extra damage to Blade of Justice and Holy Power spenders. Protection's Apex talent makes Judgment trigger Avenger's Shield echo. Holy's Apex talent adds an automatic beacon on the lowest health ally.
Druids are the most versatile class with four specs (Feral, Balance, Guardian, Restoration) and three roles. They have battle resurrection and shapeshifting.
Feral's bleed snapshotting is easier. Balance's Eclipse is now an active button. Guardian shifted from passive to active mitigation. Restoration is more reactive. Feral's Apex talent is considered weak.
Priests have two healing specs (Holy and Discipline) and a DPS spec (Shadow). They bring Power Infusion and other support abilities.
Shadow Priest's theme changed from void to Old God. Holy Priest is now a beginner healer with passive Renew. Discipline's Penance has two charges. Holy's Apex talent upgrades Flash Heal to Benediction.
Hunters have three DPS specs. Survival is reworked around explosives. Marksmanship is a slow, hard-hitting sniper. Beast Mastery is pet-focused. All Apex talents are straightforward damage increases.
Rogues have three DPS specs. Subtlety is now easier with shadow clones. Outlaw is about big burst windows. Assassination spreads bleeds. Rogues have low group utility.
Mages have three DPS specs. Fire is bursty but slower outside cooldowns. Frost has a new shatter mechanic. Arcane is simpler. Mages are advanced and fragile.
Warlocks have three DPS specs. Affliction is back to a damage-over-time spec. Demonology is easier. Destruction is unchanged. Warlocks are hard to master but have great class fantasy.
Warriors have tank and DPS specs. Arms is slower but heavier. Fury is fast-paced. Protection is a simple tank. Warriors are straightforward and durable.
Shamans have DPS and healer specs. Enhancement is pruned. Elemental has a new overload mechanic. Restoration lost some totems. Shamans have great utility.
Death Knights have tank and DPS specs. Unholy is reworked around summoning minions. Frost is unchanged. Blood is pruned. Death Knights are tanky.
Monks have tank, healer, and DPS specs. Windwalker lost some cooldowns. Mistweaver has a new healing build. Brewmaster is simplified. Monks are advanced.
Demon Hunters have tank and DPS specs. The new Devourer spec is a ranged DPS. Havoc is unchanged. Vengeance has a powerful Apex talent. Demon Hunters are beginner-friendly.
Evokers have DPS, healer, and support specs. Augmentation is a buffer. Devastation is tightened. Preservation has buffed abilities. Evokers have unique gameplay.

Explains a major gameplay change where Eclipse becomes an active button, shifting the spec's focus to maintaining the Eclipse state for maximum damage.

Points out that Priest is the only class with two healing specs, ensuring at least one is likely to perform well in any content type.
9:08Marksmanship Hunter's New Playstyle
Describes a significant shift to a slower, more deliberate 'sniper turret' playstyle, which is a major change for the spec.
13:50Subtlety Rogue Simplification
Notes that Subtlety Rogue has been substantially pruned and is now one of the easiest specs to play, a major change from its previous complexity.
16:47[00:00] Welcome to the channel, ladies and
[00:01] gentlemen. My name is Sky, and today
[00:02] we're going to be looking at all 13
[00:04] classes in depth for the latest Midnight
[00:06] World of Warcraft expansion and helping
[00:08] you find the perfect class to main.
[00:11] We're going to be going over the
[00:12] strengths of each class and spec
[00:14] individually, all the biggest changes
[00:16] for each spec heading into Midnight, all
[00:18] the brand new Apex talents and what they
[00:21] do, the skill curve, and if the spec is
[00:23] easy or hard to play, and more.
[00:25] Hopefully, by doing so, we can steer you
[00:27] in the right direction to selecting a
[00:29] class that is perfect for you. This is
[00:32] the ultimate class picking guide for
[00:34] Midnight World of Warcraft. The call of
[00:37] the paladin is to protect the weak,
[00:39] bring justice to the unjust, and
[00:41] vanquish evil from all corners of the
[00:43] world. Paladins are equipped with plate
[00:45] armor to confront the toughest foes, and
[00:48] the blessing of the light allows them to
[00:49] heal wounds for their allies and even
[00:52] some cases restore life to the dead.
[00:55] When it comes to the strengths of the
[00:56] Paladin, you easily have some of the
[00:58] highest utility in the game. You bring
[01:00] powerful blessings to keep your allies
[01:02] alive, aura buffs, which are passive
[01:04] buffs to enhance your allies in combat,
[01:07] very strong offhealing capabilities,
[01:09] incredibly powerful cooldowns that can
[01:11] save your raid and group in just a
[01:13] moment, and one of the few classes in
[01:16] all of World of Warcraft who can
[01:17] resurrect an ally in combat. As a
[01:20] paladin, you have access to all three
[01:22] role types being tank, healer, and DPS.
[01:25] And overall, you're just very versatile.
[01:27] And if you enjoy playing multiple role
[01:30] types, this easily has to be one of the
[01:32] biggest benefits of a paladin. Moving on
[01:34] to some spec changes for retribution.
[01:36] Overall, the gameplay and vibe is very
[01:39] similar to what it was in the war
[01:40] within. They made a couple changes to
[01:42] their hero talent tree. Hammer of wrath
[01:44] is no longer a separate ability. It
[01:46] upgrades judgment whenever you pop
[01:48] wings, so you could just deal more
[01:49] damage. And they combined executioner
[01:51] sentence with final reckoning into one
[01:53] ability. For retribution's apex talent,
[01:56] it's an entirely passive talent that
[01:58] adds extra damage to your blade of
[01:59] justice and your holy power spenders. It
[02:02] gives you a chance to unleash a wave of
[02:04] holy light to deal extra damage to
[02:06] enemies in an area. It's not the
[02:08] flashiest ability ever, but it's free
[02:10] damage and it keeps retribution simple.
[02:12] For protection paladins, eye of tier and
[02:15] moment of glory are gone. But replacing
[02:17] that, your passive damage mitigation is
[02:19] much higher with your brand new rework
[02:21] talent tree. Your self-healing and
[02:23] sustain is substantially better with
[02:25] Word of Glory, and your damage is still
[02:27] very high as a protection paladin
[02:30] overall, even for a tank. For
[02:32] protection's Apex talent, it's an
[02:33] entirely passive talent called Glory of
[02:36] the Vanguard. It makes it to where your
[02:37] judgment has a chance to cause your
[02:39] Avengers shield to echo light damage
[02:41] across enemies and increases the damage
[02:44] of your shield of the righteous. Again,
[02:46] not a new play style type of talent, but
[02:48] it makes protection hit harder and
[02:50] that's always a win for them. And
[02:52] lastly, for holy paladin, they
[02:53] completely overhauled their talent tree.
[02:56] Additionally, they rework the light of
[02:58] dawn ability to heal anyone in a circle
[03:00] around you in a 40 radius as well. aura
[03:04] mastery and your powerful defensive
[03:05] cooldowns feel more impactful. Holy
[03:08] shock and judgment had have a ton of
[03:10] talent points centered around them to
[03:12] make them feel powerful and weighted
[03:13] again. So overall, things feel really
[03:15] great from a gameplay perspective for
[03:18] holy. When it comes to their apex
[03:19] talent, it's called beacon of the
[03:21] savior. Think of it as having an
[03:23] additional beacon on a lowest health
[03:25] ally within 30 yards automatically. Any
[03:28] healing you do onto others, 30% of that
[03:30] healing will replicate to this target.
[03:33] Not only that, whenever a target
[03:34] receives this beacon, they gain an
[03:36] absorb shield and some damage
[03:38] mitigation. The only issue we need is
[03:40] some better UI clarity to know who has
[03:42] this absorb shield and beacon so we can
[03:44] actually tell who it is. But overall,
[03:45] this is a very strong direction for
[03:47] Holy. Listen guys, when it comes to the
[03:49] star ratings, overall for Paladin,
[03:50] they're one of the easier classes you
[03:52] can play in World of Warcraft. They
[03:53] don't get nuclear changes like some
[03:55] other classes, but they got cleaned up
[03:57] very well to the point where all three
[03:58] specs seem like they're in a really good
[04:00] spot at the moment. But if you're
[04:02] somebody who loves multiple role types,
[04:03] build variety is fantastic for Paladin
[04:06] as you can play DPS, tank, and healer.
[04:08] So, there's a lot of flexibility out
[04:09] there. Now, if you only like one
[04:11] specific roles, for example, like DPS,
[04:14] you are very limited with only having
[04:16] one spec on this class. When it comes to
[04:18] their Apex talents overall, I would say
[04:20] they're pretty decent at best. There are
[04:22] definitely some other Apex talent
[04:24] options in the game out there that
[04:25] perform better and feel a lot more
[04:27] impactful through a rotation, but
[04:29] Paladins's Apex talents across the board
[04:31] are almost entirely passive. They don't
[04:33] impede on the rotation. If you're
[04:34] looking for something simple that
[04:35] actually help, these are some good apex
[04:38] talents for you. Druids harness the vast
[04:41] power of nature to preserve balance and
[04:43] protect life. Druids can unleash
[04:45] nature's raw energy against your enemies
[04:47] by reigning celestial fury on them from
[04:49] a great distance, binding them with
[04:51] vines or even shapeshifting to powerful
[04:53] creatures to deal relentless attacks.
[04:56] Druids are the most versatile combatants
[04:59] in all of World of Warcraft, and they
[05:01] can fulfill every single role. When it
[05:04] comes to the strengths of the druid, you
[05:05] are easily the most versatile class in
[05:07] the game by having access to four specs
[05:09] and three different role types being
[05:11] DPS, tank, and healer. You're also one
[05:13] of the very few classes in all of WoW
[05:15] who have access to a battle resurrection
[05:18] which allows you to resurrect allies
[05:19] during combat. You can shapeshift into
[05:22] multiple forms to cater to whatever
[05:24] situation you're in. Whether you need
[05:25] more mobility with travel form, more
[05:27] defensive capabilities with bear form,
[05:29] or even the option to stealth past
[05:31] enemies in cat form. You bring great
[05:33] utility with your Mark of the Wild raid
[05:35] buff, battle resurrection, good crowd
[05:37] control, as well as your intervate
[05:39] ability to help your healers cast more
[05:41] spells. When it comes to specs and all
[05:43] of their big changes for feral druid
[05:44] heading into midnight, bleed
[05:46] snapshotting did get substantially
[05:48] easier than before. You're not juggling
[05:50] so many things at once, and you have a
[05:52] couple new tools in your kit, such as
[05:54] frantic frenzy, which is a cool little
[05:56] AoE ability, as well as Chomp, a single
[05:59] target bite ability whenever you're low
[06:01] on energy. They did get some pruning
[06:03] with thrash being gone, but when it
[06:05] comes to their apex talent, Unseen
[06:06] Predator, it's entirely passive and it
[06:09] pretty much just has a chance to flicker
[06:11] and deal some extra damage whenever you
[06:13] ferocious bite. Balance druid. When it
[06:15] comes to them, their biggest change is
[06:16] that eclipse as a system got reworked
[06:19] and it's now a button that you actively
[06:21] press. The gameplay for balance now is
[06:24] trying to stay in eclipse state as long
[06:26] as you can to deal substantially more
[06:29] damage. Not only that, your mastery got
[06:31] buffed and it's now just flat arcane and
[06:33] nature damage increase overall. For the
[06:35] apex talent, it's called ascendant
[06:37] eclipses and it makes it to where
[06:38] whenever you activate an eclipse, you
[06:40] immediately deal damage to enemies. It
[06:42] makes your star surge and starfall hit
[06:44] harder and your critical strikes deal
[06:46] additional damage over time to enemies
[06:48] during eclipse, which feel really good.
[06:50] For guardian druid, they got a lot of
[06:52] changes in midnight. Thorns of iron as a
[06:55] passive got removed and there's no more
[06:56] iron fur spam style of gameplay. It's
[06:59] now a major shift toward active
[07:01] decision-making and it is a bit harder
[07:04] to play overall. Their apex talent is
[07:06] called wild guardian where after you pop
[07:08] incarnation, you gain access to another
[07:10] ability called wild guardian. This
[07:12] causes the next two cast of iron for
[07:14] maul or frenzied regen to be echoed
[07:17] again which offers some good variety for
[07:20] restoration druid. drastically reduce
[07:21] the amount of ramp needed to get off
[07:23] some powerful heals like lifeloom and
[07:26] your other heal overtime effects as they
[07:28] drastically deal more healing faster and
[07:30] it's become overall a more reactive
[07:32] healer. Restoration's apex talent ever
[07:34] bloom drastically increases the power of
[07:36] your lifeler
[07:39] healing that stacks over time and have
[07:41] powerful ondemand healing whenever you
[07:43] consume soul of the forest making it
[07:45] easily one of the best healer apex
[07:47] talents in the entire game. Listen guys,
[07:50] when it comes to star ratings for druid,
[07:52] they are one of the harder classes to
[07:53] play in World of Warcraft. Between, you
[07:55] know, weaving in and out of different
[07:56] forms to capitalize on certain
[07:58] situations, knowing when to use your
[08:00] battle res and intervate abilities
[08:01] properly, they're, you know, also having
[08:03] four different specs you can learn and
[08:05] master. I'm not going to lie, druid
[08:06] easily has to be one of the harder
[08:08] classes to play in WoW, but their
[08:10] ceiling is quite literally limitless.
[08:13] When it comes to build variety, it goes
[08:14] without saying druid is amongst the best
[08:16] in the entire game. If you're somebody
[08:18] who likes to play multiple role types,
[08:20] there's no better class in World of
[08:21] Warcraft than Druid. And then lastly,
[08:23] when it comes to the Druid Apex talents,
[08:25] overall, I would say they're actually in
[08:26] a pretty good spot, except for Pharaoh
[08:28] Druid. Ferro Druid's Apex is probably
[08:30] one of the worst in the entire game.
[08:32] Just how boring and unimpactful it
[08:33] feels. But because of how strong, you
[08:36] know, Guardian, Restoration, and Balance
[08:38] Druid feels, it definitely even things
[08:40] out to push them into a solid category.
[08:43] The priests are devoted to the spiritual
[08:45] realm and express their unwavering faith
[08:47] by serving the people. In the midst of
[08:49] terrible conflict, no hero questions the
[08:52] value of the priestly order. They use
[08:54] powerful healing magic to fortify
[08:56] themselves and allies and also wield
[08:58] powerful offensive abilities from a
[09:00] distance through dark practices. When it
[09:02] comes to the strengths of the priest,
[09:04] one of the biggest strengths is that you
[09:05] have access to multiple different healer
[09:08] specializations. and you are the only
[09:10] class in World of Warcraft that has two
[09:12] healer options. This typically means one
[09:15] of them is going to be performing very
[09:16] well in a content type, rather it be
[09:19] PvP, Mythic Plus, or raiding. The class
[09:22] overall has many high impact support
[09:25] abilities such as power infusion, power
[09:27] ward fortitude, and leap of faith to
[09:29] really aid their party and raid.
[09:31] Overall, you're a very flexible healer
[09:33] and you have a strong DPS class with
[09:35] Shadow Priest that brings fantastic
[09:37] utility and off healing as well. With
[09:39] Shadow Priest, the biggest changes for
[09:41] them heading into Midnight is that their
[09:42] entire theme has swapped from void to
[09:45] now the old god theme. Visually, they're
[09:47] pretty much changed top to bottom, but
[09:50] the gameplay is very similar. Their
[09:52] offensive cooldowns got simplified and
[09:54] the talent tree is more streamlined and
[09:55] focused more on void apparitions. The
[09:58] apex talent, like I said, is void
[10:00] apparitions, and it makes it to where
[10:01] whenever you activate one of your idle
[10:03] effects from your talent tree, you
[10:05] summon shadowy apparitions to go toward
[10:08] your target. You also summon them
[10:10] automatically whenever you tentacle
[10:12] slam. And these apparitions have a
[10:13] chance to spawn as void apparitions that
[10:16] shoot dark magic at enemies. Now, when
[10:18] it comes to holy priest, they got some
[10:20] of the biggest changes out of any healer
[10:22] in the game. Tons of spells are gone and
[10:25] it's now being known as one of the
[10:26] easiest and beginner healers in all of
[10:29] WoW. Renew is a passive ability you
[10:32] don't need to manually upkeep. And other
[10:34] drastic changes happen through the tree.
[10:36] The biggest one being the ultimate
[10:37] serenity talent near the end of the tree
[10:39] that replaces sanctify as a core strong
[10:42] singlet target hero option that also
[10:44] splashes for AoE healing. For their apex
[10:46] talent, it's called Benediction. It
[10:48] causes your prayer of mending to have a
[10:50] chance to upgrade your flash heal to
[10:52] benediction to heal your target for more
[10:54] and cause a cosmic ripple healing
[10:56] effect. This cosmic ripple is like a
[10:58] mini splash heal effect with a cool
[11:01] visual and can even activate during each
[11:03] pulse of divine hymn. And during
[11:05] apotheiois flash heal is automatically
[11:07] replaced by benediction for the
[11:09] duration. For discipline priests, their
[11:11] gameplay style really did not change
[11:13] much. penance gains two charges and it's
[11:15] heavily damage focused now to result
[11:17] into more healing and overall your
[11:19] atonement healing is substantially
[11:20] stronger than before. Their apex talent
[11:23] is called master the darkness where your
[11:25] penance has a chance to upgrade power
[11:27] ward shield into void shield which is an
[11:29] AoE shield that applies to your party.
[11:32] Not only that, this void shield will
[11:34] reflect 15% of damage taken back to
[11:37] enemies and cause atonement healing,
[11:39] which feels great. Listen guys, when it
[11:41] comes to the star ratings, I think for
[11:43] priest, they aren't as difficult to play
[11:45] as some people may think. Holy priest is
[11:47] known as one of the easier healers to
[11:49] pick up in WoW. While discipline priest
[11:51] still is rather straightforward, I think
[11:53] their apex talents are strong across the
[11:55] board. And always, holy priest or
[11:57] discipline priest are going to perform
[11:58] substantially well in one form of
[12:01] content or another, whether it be
[12:02] raiding, PvP, or mythic plus. If you're
[12:05] looking for a class that isn't too
[12:06] complicated as a caster or healer DPS,
[12:09] Priest is a very good option for you.
[12:10] When it comes to build variety, if
[12:12] you're enjoying healing, you have a ton
[12:13] of different options and choice here,
[12:15] and you're the only class in the game
[12:16] with two different healer specs.
[12:18] Overall, I really enjoy priest for what
[12:20] they are. I love the game variety and
[12:22] the styles of all three specs. And I
[12:24] think this class in general is in a very
[12:26] good spot heading into Midnight WoW.
[12:29] From an early age, the Call of the Wild
[12:31] draws some adventurers from their
[12:32] comfort of their homes into the
[12:34] unforgiving primal world outside. Those
[12:37] who endure this eventually become
[12:40] hunters, masters of the environment.
[12:42] They're able to slip like ghosts through
[12:44] the trees and lay traps in the path of
[12:46] their enemies while guarding beastial
[12:48] allies. When it comes to the strengths
[12:50] of the hunter, they have three very
[12:52] different DPS specs that can all fit
[12:54] different niches. Not only that, because
[12:56] they have three different specs. one of
[12:58] them typically becomes very strong
[13:00] compared to the rest, meaning it's very
[13:02] safe option for a class if you only like
[13:04] the damage. The hunter is also very easy
[13:07] to learn. Having access to a pet, you
[13:09] makes it easier to solo content compared
[13:11] to some other classes, and it's easy to
[13:13] avoid raid mechanics as a marksman or
[13:15] beast mastery due to being as mobile as
[13:18] you are. When it comes to each spec and
[13:20] their biggest changes, starting off with
[13:21] survival, pretty much top to bottom, it
[13:23] got reworked in terms of class theme and
[13:26] fantasy. Now it's based off of
[13:27] explosives, shotguns, and Molotov
[13:30] cocktails with abilities being core to
[13:32] their kit like boomstick, which is a
[13:34] frontal cone channel in front of you.
[13:36] Their apex talent is called raptor
[13:38] swipe, where whenever you raptor strike,
[13:40] it improves itself then afterward to
[13:42] raptor swipe, which damages enemies
[13:44] around you in a nearby radius, which is
[13:46] great for their consistent DPS increase.
[13:49] For marksmanship hunter, Blizzard pushed
[13:50] them in a direction to where their aim
[13:52] shot hits substantially harder, but with
[13:55] that the cast time of it is increased
[13:57] and streamline was also removed from the
[14:00] game. Killshot is now also exclusive to
[14:02] marksmanship hunter and overall the
[14:03] class has now a slower gameplay style of
[14:06] pace. Think of it like a backline sniper
[14:09] turret style of play. Marksmanship apex
[14:12] talent amplifies this with the take aim
[14:14] passive. It makes it to where aimshot
[14:16] will always critically strike. The
[14:18] damage of it is increased and whenever
[14:20] you rapid fire, it reduces the cooldown
[14:22] of aimshot. For beast mastery hunter,
[14:24] overall the gameplay is very similar.
[14:26] Multi-shot is replaced by a new pet AoE
[14:29] called wild thrash. Beastial wrath is
[14:31] now on a flat 30 second cooldown and the
[14:33] miniame of juggling barb shot as a buff
[14:36] is now removed. Your apex talent is
[14:38] called nature's ally to where whenever
[14:40] you activate beastial wrath, you summon
[14:42] an animal companion along your side to
[14:45] help you in combat. Beastial Wrath will
[14:47] now strike four targets in an AoE and
[14:50] you get more kill commands while you're
[14:52] doing your rotation. I think when it
[14:53] comes to a star rating system, guys, I
[14:55] think the skill curve of Hunter, you got
[14:57] to know they're one of the easiest
[14:59] classes to play in the entire game. for
[15:01] all three specs. They're very
[15:02] straightforward, relatively easy to
[15:04] play, and they're all very effective in
[15:06] dealing damage no matter what content
[15:08] type they're in. The reason for that is
[15:10] being because, yes, you are a pure DPS
[15:12] class. So, your versatility when it
[15:14] comes to roll types and utility, yes, it
[15:16] may not be that high, but I will say,
[15:18] however, when it comes to a DPS class,
[15:20] you have a very wide variety of dealing
[15:22] damage. Three different DPS specs that
[15:23] all have multiple build types. So, the
[15:25] build variety is definitely there for
[15:27] hunter on that end for pure DPS. When it
[15:30] comes to their Apex talents for Hunter,
[15:31] I gotta say all three of them feel like
[15:33] they're in a really good spot. They're
[15:34] all straightforward enough to
[15:36] understand. They elevate the class to
[15:37] deal simply more damage, and they're
[15:39] effective to where they amplify your
[15:41] abilities that all feel good to press.
[15:43] For example, like aim shot for
[15:44] marksmanship and kill command for beast
[15:47] mastery. For rogues, the only code is
[15:49] the contract, and their honor is
[15:51] purchased in gold. Free from the
[15:53] constraints of a conscious, these
[15:55] mercenaries rely on brutal and efficient
[15:57] tactics. There are lethal assassins and
[15:59] masters of stealth who approach their
[16:01] marks from behind, piercing a vital
[16:03] organ and vanish back into the shadows
[16:05] before the victim even hits the ground.
[16:07] When it comes to the strengths of the
[16:09] rogue, they have three very different
[16:10] DPS specs that all fill very different
[16:12] niches. Not only that, because they have
[16:15] three different DPS specs, one of them
[16:16] typically becomes very strong and at
[16:18] least meta in one form of content. The
[16:21] rogue has very flexible DPS for any
[16:24] situation. Whether you want more AoE or
[16:26] single target, you have great
[16:28] survivability in raids with faint as
[16:30] well as cheat death. And you also have
[16:32] access to stealth and you can put your
[16:33] allies in stealth for a short period of
[16:35] time with Shroud of Concealment. Not
[16:38] only that, of course, we all know Rogue
[16:39] is one of the best PvP classes in the
[16:42] entire game and is a fantastic dualist.
[16:45] When it comes to changes, subtlety rogue
[16:47] heading into Midnight probably received
[16:48] the most out of all rogue specs. This
[16:50] spec got substantially pruned with
[16:53] things like flagagillation, symbols of
[16:55] death, and rupture all being removed.
[16:58] Subrogue is now known as being one of
[17:00] the most easy specs you can play in the
[17:02] game. You have a brand new talent tree
[17:03] focused on shadow clones with their apex
[17:05] talent, ancient arts, amplifying this as
[17:08] well. If you've ever played Zed from
[17:10] League of Legends, it's very similar to
[17:12] how he plays. Your damage attacks that
[17:14] expend shadow techniques have a chance
[17:16] to summon a shadow clone to deal
[17:18] additional damage for you. So, visually
[17:20] and from a class fantasy perspective,
[17:22] Subtlety Rogue has definitely seen some
[17:24] incredible improvements heading into the
[17:26] new expansion. When it comes to Outlaw
[17:28] Rogue, the Roll the Bones has been
[17:30] simplified and reworked a bit. It's not
[17:32] as RNG reliant, but there's still that
[17:35] aspect tied to it. Between the Eyes now
[17:38] gives you a flat percentage damage
[17:39] increase to all your abilities when you
[17:41] use it. And the spec is now all about
[17:43] big setups and big ginormous burst
[17:46] windows rather than being super speed
[17:48] spammy melee like it was before. Their
[17:50] Apex talent, Gravedigger, makes it to
[17:52] where whenever you dispatch, you have a
[17:54] chance to build a bullet in your sleeve
[17:56] and then every so often it'll give you a
[17:58] free charge between the eyes and reset
[18:01] its cool down. This is perfect for
[18:02] lining up those big burst damage windows
[18:04] into then using heavy-hitting abilities
[18:06] like killing spree. For Assassination
[18:08] Rogue, they reworked Crimson Tempest to
[18:10] where it's now an ability that spreads
[18:12] your bleeds to nearby targets. So, gone
[18:15] are the days of requiring you to be in
[18:17] stealth to spread your gross and
[18:18] ruptures in an AoE setting. This spec
[18:21] now has the fantasy of spreading your
[18:22] bleeds effectively and then preparing
[18:24] big chain and venom windows with big
[18:27] rewards if you pull it off properly.
[18:29] Your apex talent and plaable makes it to
[18:31] where each invenum you chain backto back
[18:34] increases your energy generation
[18:35] drastically when it runs out. Your
[18:37] king's bane also deals substantially
[18:39] more damage and generates you full combo
[18:41] points. Listen, when it comes to a class
[18:43] star ratings perspective, I think with
[18:45] skill curve for rogue, it is one of the
[18:47] more complicated classes you can play in
[18:49] the entire game. Whether it be for PvE
[18:52] or PvP, this class is not easy by all
[18:55] means. For build variety, if you enjoy a
[18:58] pure DPS class, you do have a very wide
[19:01] variety of build options for each spec
[19:03] individually for rogue. Overall, I think
[19:05] Apex talents for rogues surprisingly are
[19:07] in a good spot. They at least feel very
[19:09] thematic toward each spec individually.
[19:11] And of course, they see some good
[19:13] improvements in damage when you unlock
[19:15] them, which is a good thing. My biggest
[19:17] concern for Rogue is always going to be
[19:18] the fact that they have very, very
[19:20] little utility for a group. And in
[19:22] general, they're a very selfish class
[19:24] overall. So, if Rogue isn't dealing very
[19:27] good damage compared to everybody else,
[19:29] it's going to be difficult sometimes to
[19:31] find a group, whether it be for Mythic
[19:33] Plus or Raid, because of how selfish
[19:35] rogue is. Mages are gifted with a keen
[19:38] intellect and unwavering discipline. The
[19:41] arcane magic available to the Magi is
[19:43] both great and dangerous, and thus is
[19:46] revealed only to the most devoted
[19:48] practitioners. The mage only wear cloth,
[19:51] but arcane shields and enchantments give
[19:54] them additional protection. They use
[19:56] fire, frost, and arcane magic. And yes,
[19:58] they may be fragile, but they are
[20:00] absolutely deadly from afar. When it
[20:03] comes to the strengths of the mage, they
[20:04] have three very different DPS specs that
[20:06] can all fill different niches. Not only
[20:08] that, because they have three different
[20:09] DPS specs, one of them typically becomes
[20:12] very strong compared to the rest,
[20:14] meaning it's a very safe option for a
[20:16] class if you only like DPS. You're very
[20:19] flexible when it comes to build variety,
[20:21] whether it be for single target or
[20:22] cleave through three specs. You're a
[20:24] very mobile caster that is one of the
[20:26] only classes in the game that has a
[20:28] cheap death mechanic to avoid getting
[20:30] one-shotted if you are playing fire. You
[20:32] have great utility and control inside of
[20:34] mythic plus and raids and even time warp
[20:37] to massively increase your allies
[20:38] damage. You're an incredible PvP class
[20:41] if you know what you're doing and you're
[20:42] skilled enough to play the mage. And not
[20:44] only that, you bring portals to summon
[20:46] the capital cities, as well as food,
[20:48] water, and more. When it comes to each
[20:50] spec and their biggest changes for fire
[20:52] mage, they definitely saw the most
[20:54] drastic changes heading into Midnight.
[20:56] Phoenix Flames has been removed, and a
[20:58] lot of very key talents for what made
[21:00] Fire Mage great have been pruned. During
[21:03] combustion windows, you're still very
[21:05] high damage and nuclear on the DPS
[21:07] meters, but outside of this, things are
[21:09] slowed down maybe too much. Your apex
[21:12] talent is called fire up where consuming
[21:14] hot streak has a chance to increase your
[21:16] fire damage and now fired up increases
[21:18] the duration of your combustion while
[21:20] not only that reducing the cooldown of
[21:22] your fire blast ability. So it really
[21:23] helps you in your combustion window. For
[21:26] frost mage heading into midnight, you
[21:27] have a brand new freezing and shattering
[21:30] debuff mechanic system. Now some of your
[21:32] spells apply a debuff to a target which
[21:34] you shatter by using icecelance or comet
[21:37] storm. Not only that, Icy Veins is now
[21:40] removed and replaced with the ray of
[21:41] frost ability, and overall the talent
[21:43] tree has been reworked for frost mage
[21:45] for substantially better improvement.
[21:48] Your apex talent is called a hand of
[21:50] frost, where whenever you shatter an
[21:52] enemy, you have a chance to summon a
[21:53] hand of frost to pursue them and deal
[21:56] AoE damage. Not only that, your ray of
[21:58] frost will summon Hand of Frost over its
[22:00] duration and it will gain an additional
[22:02] charge as well. For Arcane Mage, they
[22:04] got changed and it's become way more
[22:06] simple than it was before. You have a
[22:08] brand new Arcane Pulse ability, which is
[22:10] like Arcane Blast, but instead deals AoE
[22:13] damage consistently with a complete
[22:15] change to their talent tree with very
[22:17] unique build and variety. Now, your Apex
[22:20] talent is called Touch of the Ark Mage,
[22:22] and it makes your Touch of the Magi
[22:24] increase the damage your target
[22:25] receives. and increases your damage
[22:27] overall and makes your touch of the magi
[22:29] deal more damage in an AoE on the floor
[22:32] after it expires. Listen, when it comes
[22:34] to the star ratings for skill curve on
[22:36] mage, you have to know that the mage is
[22:37] a very advanced class to play. Your
[22:40] defensive capabilities are quite low for
[22:42] the most part now due to the pruning and
[22:44] they don't have any self- sustain with
[22:45] any real healing. So, so you're going to
[22:47] be very reliant on your healer. Not only
[22:49] that, some of the rotations can be quite
[22:51] difficult to master, even after the
[22:53] pruning and rotations, making them at
[22:55] least slightly hard to play. If you like
[22:58] a pure DPS class, Mage has a ton of
[23:00] build variety with all three specs. Of
[23:02] course, yes, you are stuck as one role,
[23:05] but there are always one or two mage
[23:07] specs that are dominating on the meters,
[23:09] making it a very safe choice to play if
[23:11] you purely like the DPS. When it comes
[23:13] to their Apex talents, I actually think
[23:15] mage has some of the best designs in the
[23:17] entire game across the board. The only
[23:19] spec I don't necessarily love is fire
[23:22] mage, as all it does is feed into more
[23:23] combustion reliance. But overall, all
[23:25] three of these specs are incredibly
[23:27] thematic with their apex talents and
[23:28] will help them deal substantially more
[23:30] damage, which I do enjoy. In the face of
[23:33] demonic power, most heroes see death.
[23:36] Warlocks only see opportunity. Dominance
[23:39] is their aim, and they found a path to
[23:41] the dark arts. These voracious
[23:43] spellcasters summon demons and minions
[23:45] to fight beside them and toss out dark
[23:47] magic to deal massive damage to enemies
[23:50] through shadow, chaos, and fire. When it
[23:52] comes to the strengths of the warlock,
[23:54] they have three very different DPS specs
[23:56] that can fill different niches. Not only
[23:59] that, because there's three different
[24:00] specs, one of them typically becomes
[24:02] very strong and at least close to meta
[24:05] compared to everybody else. They're one
[24:07] of the few classes in the game that have
[24:08] access to pets, so solo content could
[24:10] become much easier for them. They have
[24:12] good utility for raids by bringing
[24:14] health stones, soul stones as a battle
[24:16] resurrection, and demonic gateways for
[24:18] mobility to avoid mechanics for their
[24:21] raid and party. Warlock does have access
[24:23] to some of the most powerful offensive
[24:25] cooldowns in the game. They can summon
[24:27] their teammates from across realms, and
[24:29] in my opinion, they have one of the
[24:30] coolest class fantasies in all of World
[24:33] of Warcraft. When it comes to each spec
[24:35] and their biggest changes for
[24:36] destruction warlock, they really didn't
[24:38] see much change heading into Midnight.
[24:40] They're kind of a onetoone copy of what
[24:42] they have been other than some minor
[24:44] talent changes and adjustments. You're
[24:46] still seeing massive damage with rain of
[24:48] fire and chaos bolt and that's not going
[24:51] to change here. Their apex talent is
[24:53] called embers of nihilm and it causes
[24:55] your incinerate to occasionally invoke
[24:57] the power of the dark titans to deal
[24:59] damage to enemies in an area. Also, when
[25:02] you chaos bolt in Reign of Fire, it will
[25:04] automatically cast this ability as well.
[25:06] For Affliction Warlock, you're seeing a
[25:08] toptobottom rework of the spec. Overall,
[25:11] it's being reverted back to a spec being
[25:13] all about damage overtime effects while
[25:15] removing malefic rapture entirely. You
[25:18] have soulshard spenders now, such as
[25:20] unstable affliction and seed of
[25:22] corruption back, and a ton of new
[25:24] abilities in your kit. So now for
[25:25] affliction, you're officially back to
[25:27] being that slow damage overtime rot spec
[25:30] yet again. Your apex talent is called
[25:32] shadow of nathrazi where where your
[25:35] haunt's ability damage has a chance to
[25:37] summon a demonic soul from the twisting
[25:39] nether to deal damage to your target and
[25:41] enemies around them. For demonology,
[25:43] they also drastically reduce the skill
[25:45] required to play this spec. Your
[25:47] dreadstalkers now are instant and free
[25:50] cast and they also automatically summon
[25:52] your charhound for you. So, just one
[25:54] ability, you have a ton of pets out
[25:56] instantly attacking enemies. Not only
[25:58] that, they completely reworked their
[26:00] entire talent tree and brought back a
[26:01] ton of new abilities, including a
[26:04] Doomguard as a 2-minute cooldown pet
[26:06] that you can summon. Your Apex talent is
[26:09] called Dominion of Argus, and it summons
[26:11] additional minions whenever you pop your
[26:13] Demonic Tyrant from the home world of
[26:15] the Legion, flooding the battlefield
[26:17] with minions. Listen, from a star rating
[26:19] system, I think it's pretty well known
[26:21] throughout history that Warlock is one
[26:23] of the hardest caster DPS to play in the
[26:25] game. Affliction and demonology are not
[26:27] easy to learn and master at all. But if
[26:30] you do, you'll definitely end up
[26:32] separating yourself from the rest of the
[26:33] pack very easily. If you like a pure DPS
[26:37] class, then Warlock can absolutely be an
[26:39] option for you. You have three different
[26:41] specs that all have great variety in
[26:43] terms of AoE and single target damage
[26:46] with three different hero talents and
[26:47] great apex talent tree design across the
[26:50] board. This class is very far from
[26:52] boring and everything is very thematic
[26:54] and fun for their apex talents and class
[26:56] trees in general, easily making them one
[26:58] of the best numerically and class
[27:00] fantasy-wise in the game. If you can
[27:02] master this class, for as long as war
[27:04] has raged, heroes from every race has
[27:07] aimed to master the art of battle.
[27:09] Warriors combine strength, leadership,
[27:12] and a vast knowledge of arms and armor
[27:14] to wreak havoc and glorious combat. Some
[27:18] protect the front lines with shields,
[27:19] and others forego the shield and unleash
[27:21] their rage at the closest threat with a
[27:24] variety of deadly weapons and attacks.
[27:27] When it comes to the strengths of the
[27:28] warrior, they do have access to two
[27:30] different role types, being tank or DPS.
[27:33] Between Arms and Fury, they have a very
[27:35] wide variety of flexible DPS toolkits to
[27:38] fill just about any need out there.
[27:40] Because you are a warrior wearing plate
[27:42] armor, you are very durable and tanky
[27:45] compared to some other classes in the
[27:46] game. And not only that, you bring your
[27:48] attack power buff for your raid with
[27:50] your battle shout and even some more
[27:52] durability with the new and improved
[27:54] rallying cry. When it comes to their
[27:55] biggest class changes for Arms Warrior
[27:57] heading into Midnight, they reworked
[27:59] their talent tree for the better. Not
[28:01] only that, Colossus Smash is now AoE
[28:03] baseline and affects [music] everybody
[28:04] around you when you use the ability.
[28:06] Sweeping Strikes is reworked to a fixed
[28:09] set number of attacks again, and your
[28:11] mastery increases your damage by a flat
[28:13] amount. So, Arms Warrior feels a bit
[28:15] slower, but your attacks feel a lot more
[28:17] weighted and heavy-hitting, making them
[28:19] deal more damage. Your Apex talent is
[28:22] called Master of Warfare, where whenever
[28:24] you attack an enemy, your slam has a
[28:26] chance to upgrade to heroic strike. This
[28:29] will have you deal more damage, reduce
[28:31] the enemy's armor, and reduce the
[28:32] cooldown of your Colossus Smash ability
[28:34] whenever you use it, making it great for
[28:36] your rotation overall. When it comes to
[28:38] Fury Warrior, their core rotation is
[28:40] very similar. It's still all about that
[28:42] Bloodthirst, Ravager, and Rampage
[28:44] rotation. They just simply got some nice
[28:46] talent tree updates, which has done
[28:48] wonders for them. Not only that, they
[28:50] have one of the best Apex talents in the
[28:52] entire game with Rampaging Berserker.
[28:54] This makes it to where whenever you pop
[28:56] recklessness, your damage is further
[28:58] increased substantially. Your rampage
[29:00] cost is reduced drastically. And
[29:02] whenever you cast rampage, you get an
[29:05] increase of your strength by a flat
[29:06] percentage amount. For protection
[29:08] warrior, they solve very minimal
[29:09] gameplay changes, and overall, they're
[29:11] still a straightforward, simple tank you
[29:13] can play. They're still all about strong
[29:15] physical damage reduction, but still
[29:17] being rather weak to magical attacks.
[29:20] Your apex talent is called failinsx and
[29:22] it causes your thunder clap to increase
[29:23] the damage of your next shield slam and
[29:26] cause AoE damage in front of you. And
[29:28] then while your shield block is active,
[29:30] your active shield slam deals more
[29:31] damage, giving you a nice little back
[29:33] and forth between using thunderclap and
[29:35] shield slam while also upkeeping your
[29:37] defensives, which is a great form of
[29:38] gameplay. When it comes to the skill
[29:40] curve for the warrior, for the most
[29:41] part, this class is very straightforward
[29:43] to play. If you've ever had an
[29:44] experience in MMO RPGs, you can probably
[29:47] pick up all three of their specs in
[29:48] their rotations very quickly and learn
[29:50] the class very easily. I will say,
[29:52] however, when it comes to build variety,
[29:54] you don't have much room for
[29:56] interchangeability and flexibility here.
[29:58] Arms and fury, very straightforward DPS
[30:01] specs with like one or two builds max.
[30:03] And at the end of the day, a warrior is
[30:05] always going to feel like a warrior
[30:06] where you charge in there, you swing
[30:08] your weapon, and you hit stuff. When it
[30:10] comes to their apex talent,
[30:11] surprisingly, I can't believe I'm saying
[30:12] this. I actually really enjoy all three
[30:14] warrior specs, apex talents across the
[30:17] board. For fury, it's one of my
[30:18] favorites, if not my favorite in the
[30:20] entire game with rampaging berserker.
[30:22] And I think protection warrior
[30:23] incentivizes you to deal more damage
[30:25] while upkeeping your defensive
[30:26] capability, which is a great way to
[30:28] design a class. Shamans are spiritual
[30:31] guides and practitioners, not of the
[30:33] divine, but of the very elements of the
[30:35] world themselves. Unlike some of their
[30:38] mystics, shamans commune with forces
[30:39] that are not strictly benevolent. The
[30:42] elements are chaotic and left to their
[30:44] own devices. They rage against one
[30:46] another in unending primal fury. It is
[30:48] the call of the shaman to bring balance
[30:50] to this chaos, acting as moderators
[30:53] among earth, fire, water, and air. When
[30:56] it comes to the strength of the shaman,
[30:58] you have the option to DPS or heal,
[31:00] having access to two different role
[31:02] types. And with their DPS specs, you
[31:04] have a range spellcaster with elemental
[31:06] and an uplose fighter with enhancement.
[31:09] All three of their specs offer a very
[31:11] wide range of gameplay. They have some
[31:13] of the best utility in the entire game
[31:15] with all of their totems and of course
[31:17] their new sky fury buff and the blood
[31:19] lust ability to massively increase all
[31:21] your allies' damage. Now, when we're
[31:23] talking about each spec and their
[31:24] biggest changes for enhancement, they
[31:26] got pruned and polished drastically
[31:28] heading into the new expansion. This was
[31:30] one of the classes that had an insane
[31:32] amount of button bloat in War Within and
[31:33] they tightened it up and made it so much
[31:36] better heading into Midnight. Not only
[31:37] that, they updated their talent tree and
[31:39] bought some nice quality of life to
[31:41] them. So overall, things are looking
[31:42] good for enhancement. The Apex talent is
[31:44] called Storm Unleash to where each
[31:46] maelstrom you spend has a chance to
[31:48] cause your next Crash Lightning to
[31:49] ignore its cooldown and deal additional
[31:51] damage in an area. When it comes to
[31:53] elemental shaman, voltaic blaze is the
[31:55] latest addition to the spec, and it
[31:57] causes flame shock to hit enemies in an
[31:59] AoE and causes your next lava burst to
[32:01] hit all of them on a very consistent
[32:03] basis. Not only that, they updated their
[32:05] talent tree substantially, improved the
[32:07] spec without them feeling gutted. For
[32:09] elemental's apex talent, it's called
[32:11] feedback loop. This causes your
[32:13] elemental overload damage to be higher,
[32:15] and cause elemental overloads to guess
[32:18] what? have a 25% chance to cause an
[32:21] additional elemental overload where
[32:23] you're pretty much shooting out spells
[32:24] like a machine gun. For restoration
[32:26] shaman heading into midnight, they got
[32:28] substantially pruned. Healing surge is
[32:31] gone. You don't get both healing tide
[32:32] and ascendants anymore. Cloudburst, earn
[32:35] wall, and other niche totems were also
[32:37] removed as well. Their apex talent is
[32:40] called storm stream totem and it makes
[32:42] it to where whatever you rip tide, you
[32:44] have a chance to upgrade your next
[32:45] healing stream totem into storm stream
[32:48] which heals for a substantial amount of
[32:50] health to all allies in your party. From
[32:52] a raw number perspective, this is easily
[32:54] one of the best apex talents in the
[32:56] entire game. I will say from a star
[32:58] ratings perspective, shaman and
[32:59] difficulty makes it a bit more
[33:01] complicated than other classes out
[33:02] there. there in WoW, you do have a lot
[33:04] of utility options. So, to really make
[33:06] use of a good shaman player, you got to
[33:08] know how to help your party. When it
[33:10] comes to build variety, I will say,
[33:12] however, there is a ton of build variety
[33:14] for each spec that you can pretty much
[33:16] just fill any spot possible. If you need
[33:18] more range DPS, you play elemental. If
[33:20] you need more melee, cleave, on demand,
[33:22] burst DPS, you play enhancement. If you
[33:24] need more support, of course, you play
[33:25] restoration. All these specs have
[33:26] fantastic variety. And not only that,
[33:28] their apex talents and hero talents
[33:30] offer more variety as well. So, a lot of
[33:32] flexibility here. Now, when it comes to
[33:34] their Apex talent design, surprisingly,
[33:37] I'm not the biggest fan of Shaman's apex
[33:40] talent. I think buffing Crash Lightning
[33:41] is pretty boring on enhancement, and I
[33:43] think simply having another elemental
[33:45] overload is pretty boring on elemental
[33:48] in my opinion. Now, I don't mind healing
[33:50] stream totem getting buffed into storm
[33:51] stream for restoration as it does
[33:53] perform really well numerically, but I
[33:56] feel like they could have done better
[33:57] overall. When the Lich King's control
[33:59] over his death knights was broken, his
[34:01] former champions found their new purpose
[34:04] as the knights of the Ebban Blade. Death
[34:07] Knights engaged their foes up close,
[34:09] supplementing swings of their weapon
[34:10] with dark magic that renders enemies
[34:12] vulnerable or damage them with unholy
[34:15] power. When it comes to the strengths of
[34:16] the death knight, you have the option to
[34:18] tank or DPS, having two different role
[34:20] types. It's universally known as for
[34:22] being the most tanky class in the entire
[34:25] game, making you incredibly durable and
[34:27] difficult to kill. Both of your DPS
[34:29] specs are very different in terms of
[34:31] gameplay, with one being about minions
[34:33] and summoning pets, and the other being
[34:35] about explosive frost damage and
[34:37] heavyhitting attacks. You're one of the
[34:39] few classes in the game that have access
[34:40] to battle resurrection to resurrect your
[34:43] fallen allies in combat, and you easily
[34:45] have one of the coolest class fantasies
[34:46] in the game. Now, heading into Midnight,
[34:48] the biggest changes for Unholy, they got
[34:50] completely reworked top to bottom.
[34:52] You're now a class that's all about
[34:54] summoning minions to flood the
[34:55] battlefield and do your bidding while
[34:57] dealing necrotic, shadow, and disease
[35:00] damage to your enemies. This is easily
[35:02] one of the most fun specs you can play
[35:04] in all of World of Warcraft right now,
[35:05] and the changes will definitely surprise
[35:07] you as it is very fun. Their Apex talent
[35:10] is called Forbidden Knowledge, and
[35:12] whenever you cast your Army of the Dead,
[35:14] it transforms your death coil and
[35:16] epidemic abilities into stronger
[35:18] abilities and making you summon
[35:20] additional minions at an increased rate,
[35:22] flooding the battlefield with the dead.
[35:24] With Frost Death Knight, they stayed
[35:25] exactly the same heading into Midnight.
[35:27] So, nothing has really changed here.
[35:29] When it comes to the Apex Talent, it's
[35:30] called Chosen of the Frost Brood. Your
[35:32] Frostworm's fury deals more damage and
[35:35] grants you haste for a certain amount of
[35:37] time. Additionally, you can activate the
[35:39] ability again to call Craosa back to
[35:42] deal more damage to enemies. And for
[35:44] Blood Death Knight, they saw some major
[35:46] ability pruning heading into Midnight.
[35:47] Your core abilities are heavier and more
[35:49] weighted and more impactful than ever,
[35:51] which feels kind of good. But the
[35:52] biggest change is your dancing rune
[35:54] weapon is now on a set cooldown rather
[35:57] than being able to be reduced by
[35:58] expending bone shield charges. For your
[36:01] apex talent, it's called dance of
[36:02] midnight where whenever you consume a
[36:04] rune, you have a chance to call a
[36:06] dancing rune weapon to your aid.
[36:08] Additionally, while dancing rune weapon
[36:10] is active, your heart strike will deal
[36:12] more damage and your overall combat
[36:13] abilities will greatly be enhanced.
[36:16] Listen, when it comes to their star
[36:17] ratings, I will say for Death Knight,
[36:19] they are very straightforward to play.
[36:21] other than maybe unholy death knight now
[36:22] being reworked. All of their rotations
[36:24] when it comes to a DPS or tanking
[36:26] perspective are not that difficult to
[36:28] pick up. When it comes to build variety,
[36:30] you have a pretty decent amount for
[36:31] death knight. Overall, it really just
[36:33] depends if you like the other specs
[36:35] between the class overall or not. You
[36:37] just have to understand the gameplay
[36:38] variance is drastically different
[36:41] compared to unholy, frost death knight,
[36:43] and even blood death knight. When it
[36:45] comes to their apex talents, personally,
[36:46] I'm not a big fan of all of them. The
[36:48] only other one I seem to enjoy is unholy
[36:51] death knight. But man, I really dislike
[36:53] blood death knight's apex talent being
[36:54] focused about dancing rune weapon and
[36:56] then of course frost death knight. I I
[36:58] just don't love it. I think it could
[37:00] have been improved. So hopefully we get
[37:01] some changes there. Now whatever your
[37:04] combat role may be, monks rely mainly on
[37:06] their hands and feet to do the talking.
[37:09] With a strong connection to their inner
[37:10] chi to power their abilities, it's the
[37:12] monks who brought hope to a seemingly
[37:14] dim future. and they're here to do it
[37:16] yet again in Midnight WoW. Monk's
[37:19] talents focus on directing theirQi
[37:21] energy to control the battlefield by
[37:23] enhancing their movement and restricting
[37:25] their their enemies and even healing
[37:26] their allies in the party. You're one of
[37:28] the only classes in the game that has
[37:30] access to three different role types
[37:32] being DPS, tank, and healer. Each
[37:34] specialization for monk brings a special
[37:36] aura for the raid, which is great. And
[37:38] you also bring Mystic Touch, which
[37:40] brings a 3% debuff to have everyone deal
[37:43] additional 3% melee physical damage.
[37:45] You're also one of the most mobile
[37:47] classes in the game. And easily amongst
[37:49] all of their specs, there's a very
[37:50] unique gameplay style across the board,
[37:53] which is very cool. Heading into
[37:55] Midnight, Windalker got some updates.
[37:56] One of them being Storm, Earth, and Fire
[37:58] is gone. And a lot of their micro burst
[38:00] cooldowns have been removed as well.
[38:03] Their talent tree got completely
[38:04] reworked, and their hero talent trees
[38:06] got updated as well. So, there were a
[38:08] lot of changes. Overall, you have a
[38:10] brand new cooldown called Zenith, and a
[38:12] lot of your damage is based around fist
[38:14] of fury. Now, their apex talent is
[38:16] called Tiger's Eye Brew. Pretty much
[38:18] whenever you activate your new cooldown
[38:20] called Zenith, your critical strike
[38:22] chance is increased. Not only that, your
[38:24] fist of fury deals additional damage
[38:26] based off your critical strike chance as
[38:28] well. For Mistw Weaver, they saw some
[38:29] improvements to their talent tree, and
[38:31] one of those is Vivify being replaced
[38:33] with Shaun's gift, which is a splash
[38:36] heavy healing ability. Not only that,
[38:38] you have the opportunity to play the new
[38:39] and improved caster soothing mist build
[38:42] on a mistw weaver. And overall, your
[38:44] healing amplification effects were
[38:46] trimmed. For Apex talent, it's called
[38:48] Spirit Font, where your Rising Sunkick
[38:50] and Vivify have a chance to activate
[38:52] Spirit Font, causing your next
[38:54] enveloping mist to channel soothing mist
[38:56] onto five nearby allies around you. Not
[38:59] only that, when you pop Thunder Focus
[39:01] Tea, it'll automatically activate this
[39:03] effect and apply Chica Cocoons at 30%
[39:06] effectiveness to all allies around your
[39:08] target, making it a phenomenal healer
[39:10] apex ability. For Brew Master Monk, they
[39:12] got heavy pruning and rotation
[39:14] simplification across the board. Your
[39:16] stagger interactions are cleaned up,
[39:18] talent trees were improved, and they
[39:20] drastically lean fully into the brew
[39:22] master-like theme. Your Apex talent is
[39:25] bring me another, where whenever you
[39:26] cast one of your brews, it leaves you
[39:28] with an empty barrel. These stock up and
[39:30] are tied to your next keg smash to deal
[39:32] additional damage to enemies in front of
[39:34] you. Listen, when it comes to star
[39:36] ratings for difficulty for monk, I'm not
[39:38] going to lie, this class is very
[39:40] advanced to play for the average player,
[39:42] but I think if you spend time on it, you
[39:43] can learn the class. you can perform
[39:45] very well. I think across the board, the
[39:48] only class that's re the only spec
[39:49] that's really in question still just
[39:51] numerically is wind walker as they
[39:54] definitely need some buffs right now.
[39:55] When it comes to build variety, this
[39:57] class entirely depends on if you enjoy
[39:59] playing multiple roles or not. The fact
[40:01] that they have one spec of each roll
[40:03] type can either limit or expand your
[40:06] build variety greatly depending on how
[40:08] you play. When it comes to their apex
[40:10] talents, personally, I'm not the biggest
[40:12] fan of them on the monk. Overall, I will
[40:14] say I really love Mistw Weavers and I
[40:16] think it's one of the best in the entire
[40:18] game. However, Wind Walker and Brew
[40:20] Master Monks seem to be falling flat a
[40:22] little bit in my opinion in terms of
[40:23] interacting with your rotation and
[40:25] making it a bit more fun. Demon Hunters
[40:27] are the disciples of Illan Storm Rage.
[40:30] They embrace fell and chaotic magic to
[40:33] challenge the Burning Legion and enemies
[40:35] who wish to destroy their allies. They
[40:38] capitalize on speed, closing the
[40:40] distance quickly to strike enemies with
[40:42] one-handed weapons, and even range
[40:44] demonic voidlike attacks. When it comes
[40:46] to the strengths of the demon hunter,
[40:47] you now have access to two different ro
[40:49] types, being DPS or tank. You're easily
[40:52] one of the most mobile classes in the
[40:54] game, and you have incredibly strong
[40:56] offensive cooldowns like metamorphosis
[40:58] to vastly increase your damage and
[41:00] defensive capabilities for duration.
[41:02] You're relatively a straightforward
[41:04] class to pick up but difficult to master
[41:06] and one of the best AoE damage toolkits
[41:08] in the game, making them great for
[41:10] mythic plus. They bring the chaos touch
[41:12] debuff to your target, which increases
[41:14] the magic damage they take by 3%, which
[41:16] is great for a raid. And they have
[41:18] fantastic self- sustain with their
[41:20] natural leech. When it comes to each
[41:22] spec and their changes, Devourer is the
[41:24] brand new spec heading into Midnight
[41:26] WoW. and it's all about collecting the
[41:28] souls ripped from your enemies and
[41:30] consuming them to turn you into a
[41:32] metamorphosis state to deal
[41:34] substantially increased damage. It's
[41:36] going to be one of the easier classes
[41:38] you can pick up in World of Warcraft,
[41:40] but also incredibly unique and difficult
[41:43] to master. Your Apex talent is called
[41:45] Midnight. This drastically increases the
[41:47] damage of your collapsing star, making
[41:49] it automatically critically strike and
[41:51] have you collect more soul fragments
[41:53] whenever you enter Metamorphosis. For
[41:55] Vengeance, they did see minor changes
[41:57] heading into the new expansion. Fiery
[41:59] Brand and Spirit Bomb got reworked and
[42:01] updated, and your damage profile is
[42:03] still incredibly high as a tank. For
[42:06] their apex talent, Untethered Rage, it
[42:08] makes your abilities have a chance to
[42:10] allow Metamorphosis to be cast without
[42:12] incurring its cooldown. This is easily
[42:14] amongst one of the best Apex talents in
[42:16] the entire game, as it drastically
[42:18] increases your damage, survivability,
[42:20] and just overall levels of fun whenever
[42:22] you proc this. When it comes to Havoc
[42:25] Demon Hunter, they overall stayed very
[42:27] similar heading into Midnight. They just
[42:28] got some minor talent tree updates and
[42:30] changes to some of their previous
[42:32] abilities. They do have better defensive
[42:34] capabilities with blur. And overall,
[42:36] their rotation is simple and still
[42:37] tight-knit. Their apex talent is called
[42:39] Eternal Hunt, where fully channeling
[42:42] I-beam makes your next blade dance
[42:44] refresh its own cooldown after you use
[42:46] it. Not only that, it increases the
[42:48] damage of your hunt, i-beam, and blade
[42:50] dance abilities. When it comes to a star
[42:52] rating system, I will say Demon Hunter
[42:54] is a very straightforward beginner class
[42:56] to play. Even today, across all three
[42:58] specs heading into Midnight, they're
[43:00] very straightforward, beginner friendly.
[43:02] So, if you're looking for a class that's
[43:03] relatively, you know, easy to pick up,
[43:05] Demon Hunter can be for you. Now, when
[43:07] it comes to build variety, you do now
[43:09] have three specs with Devourer being
[43:11] added. There's a good amount of build
[43:13] variety here. You have a range DPS spec
[43:14] with Devourer, melee DPS with Havoc, and
[43:17] a tank spec with Vengeance. And all of
[43:18] them are performing exceptionally well.
[43:20] When it comes to Apex talents across the
[43:22] board for Devour, they're among some of
[43:23] the best in the game. I think
[43:24] personally, Vengeance has the best Apex
[43:26] talent for tanks, while Havoc has one of
[43:28] the best in the entire game for DPS.
[43:30] Overall, Apex talents look good. I think
[43:32] Demon Hunter in general is in a great
[43:34] spot right now and a great class you
[43:36] could pick up for anybody in the game.
[43:38] As an evoker, you possess special
[43:40] empowered abilities that you can use to
[43:42] change the strength of a spell. Evokers
[43:44] take advantage of these empowered spells
[43:47] and fight from moderate range. They
[43:49] demolish their foes with fiery attacks
[43:51] or restore allies to keep them in the
[43:53] fight. You focus on the power of the
[43:55] red, blue, and green dragon flights to
[43:58] deal devastating damage or preserve your
[44:00] allies. When it comes to the strengths
[44:01] of the evoker, as the evoker, you have
[44:03] access to three different
[44:04] specializations that include a DPS, a
[44:07] healer, and a support buffer DPS, which
[44:10] is the one and only spec that can do
[44:12] this in the entire game. You are one of
[44:15] the few classes in the game that bring a
[44:16] blood lust effect which vastly increases
[44:18] your allies damage for a short duration.
[44:20] And easily Evoker has one of, if not the
[44:23] best hero and apex talent tree designs
[44:25] in the game, leaving your creativity and
[44:27] build design pretty much limitless
[44:29] across the board. When it comes to the
[44:30] biggest changes heading into the
[44:32] expansion, augmentation has stayed very
[44:35] similar. You're still going to be that
[44:36] support class that's buffing your allies
[44:38] to increase their damage overall. Eban
[44:40] might is now raidwide and the baseline
[44:43] buff has been increased as well. With
[44:45] your apex talent duplicate, Breath of
[44:47] Eons now summons a time version of you
[44:49] to assist you in battle. It duplicates
[44:51] your abilities and anytime you extend
[44:53] your eb and might, your duplicate is
[44:55] also extended as well, increasing your
[44:57] stats overall. For Devastation, they
[45:00] didn't see drastic changes, but they did
[45:02] get tightened up. Shattering Star is now
[45:04] a passive tied to Eternity Surge. Their
[45:06] hero talent trees got changed
[45:07] drastically and they're much more
[45:09] effective than previously before. Your
[45:11] apex talent is called rising fury where
[45:14] whenever you activate dragon's rage, you
[45:16] increase your haste. Then when dragon
[45:18] rage ends, it grants you damage and
[45:20] haste bonuses and generates you essence
[45:22] burst for you as well. And then finally,
[45:24] you have preservation where they did see
[45:26] some changes. Spirit bloom was removed.
[45:29] Dream breath has become substantially
[45:31] buffed and more core to your rotation.
[45:33] and Ekko's and Verdant Embrace were
[45:35] drastically buffed as well. Your Apex
[45:37] talent is called Merithra's Blessing.
[45:39] Your essence abilities have a chance to
[45:41] infuse your next reversion, upgrading it
[45:44] to Meithra's blessing, which shoots out
[45:46] healing to allies in a five target area
[45:49] around you. Not only that, this apex
[45:51] also increases Dream Breath's instant
[45:53] healing, and Dream Breath will
[45:54] automatically proc this effect, giving
[45:56] you this ability whenever you need,
[45:58] making a very good apex talent. When it
[46:00] comes to star ratings for skill curve
[46:02] for Evoker, they can be a little bit
[46:04] complicated. I'm not going to lie. Being
[46:06] the brand new class in World of War
[46:07] being one of the brand new classes in
[46:08] World of Warcraft over the last few
[46:10] years, it's something a lot of players
[46:11] have never experienced before. So, it is
[46:13] something they'll have to pick up from
[46:15] scratch. For the most part, each evoker
[46:17] spec has a very wide variety of builds
[46:19] they can run because all their hero
[46:21] talent trees and Apex talents provide
[46:23] really good support for their role type
[46:24] and things are looking really good for
[46:26] them from a build variety perspective.
[46:28] But yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is
[46:30] going to wrap up our massive video on
[46:31] Midnight World of Warcraft. This took me
[46:33] months to make, so if you guys can
[46:35] please like, comment, shout it out,
[46:38] whatever you can, it would really,
[46:39] really appreciate it. We're on our goal
[46:41] to hitting 100,000 subscribers this
[46:43] year, and I'd really appreciate it. We
[46:45] only have one question left to ask for
[46:47] you. Which class is going to be your
[46:50] main? Let us know down in the comment
[46:51] section below, and we would love to talk
[46:53] about it. Hey everybody, thanks for
[46:55] watching. If you enjoyed the content,
[46:57] consider subscribing or check out one of
[46:59] the videos you see on screen here to
[47:01] stay up to date on all things Warcraft.
[47:03] My name is Sky for the Comeback Kids.
