The host, Eric Voss, breaks down the trailer frame-by-frame and discusses the implications for the MCU.

[00:01]
Trailer Analysis Introduction

Eric Voss introduces the video, promising to discuss new details about Doctor Doom from the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, including the theory behind Robert Downey Jr.'s casting.

[02:00]
Doom's Suit Change

Voss points out that Doom smashes out of a structure and lands wearing a different suit than the one he wears earlier in the trailer. The alternate suit has a single cape clasp and a smoother mask, suggesting a possible diplomatic or unarmored version.

[03:21]
The Mysterious Device

Voss discusses a device seen in the trailer and on the Iron Studios figurine, theorizing it could be the Ultimate Nullifier, a powerful weapon from the comics that can erase things from existence.

[05:09]
Ultimate Nullifier Explained

Voss explains the Ultimate Nullifier's comic book history, including its role in the Fantastic Four's defeat of Galactus and its ability to completely erase beings, timelines, or universes.

[07:45]
Reed Richards' Anger

Voss speculates that Reed Richards' anger at Doom in the trailer could be because Doom used the Ultimate Nullifier to unmake something, possibly even Reed himself.

[08:26]
Two Dooms Theory

Voss addresses the fan theory that there are two Dooms in the movie, one played by Robert Downey Jr. and another by Cillian Murphy, but he finds it unlikely due to the difficulty of keeping such a secret.

[12:37]
Why Different Suits?

Voss suggests Doom may wear the unarmored suit for a diplomatic approach, but switches to his armored suit when fighting Thor, which would include magical runes.

[13:14]
Essential Viewing List

Voss lists Marvel's official essential titles to rewatch before Doomsday, noting that Iron Man is not on the list, but he plans to cover it in his own breakdown series.

The video provides a detailed breakdown of the Doomsday trailer, highlighting key details about Doom's suits and the potential Ultimate Nullifier, while also debunking the two-Dooms theory. It sets up a new series of breakdown videos leading up to the film's release.

[00:01] >> ANSWER ME, VICTOR. DID YOU do this? >> TELL ME, REED, WHAT IS VICTOR HOLDING? Voss, and we have to talk about these new details about Dr. Doom from the recent Avengers Doomsday trailer and the huge theory surrounding Doom that could

[02:00] that Dr. Doom smashes and flies out of and then sticks the landing. In our this structure appears to be the same ship from the set photo that came out. window, notice that his back is facing outward toward us and then an object

[02:14] flies next to him. At first, I thought this was Muolnir smacking him out the going on here. For one, while Doom begins this path, reacting to being hit, reconfiguration midair and then lands confidently facing us. And yes, Doom in

[02:29] his landing is now wearing his alternate suit. The suit that I saw in the Marvel TVA walkthrough experience at D23. the suit with the one cape clasp and the smoother mask without the visible armor. It's certainly a different suit than the

[02:41] times in this footage with the two clasps and the armor all over. What's trailer makes it seem like this is all part of Doom's fight with Thor. Like this could be the moment Doom arrives to his confrontation with Thor. But no, the

[02:55] structure that Doom smashes out of. You can see that same structure at 1 minute and 29 seconds in the wide shot of Doom flinging Stormbreaker out of Thor's armored suit. The window on that structure is not yet broken. So, after

[03:08] Doom does this to Thor, the fight will continue into this structure where Doom alternate suit. Or maybe there are multiples of this structure. I'm not really sure. But is the thing that knocks him out of that window MUN or is

[03:21] frame by frame, it does seem to be smaller and without a handle. Well, recipients of the Iron Studios Dr. Doom figure for Avengers Doomsday have noticed something about his hand. One attachment is Doom's official spell book

[03:34] for this movie with runes and markings that match the sigil on his gauntlet. I think this might be Doom's book of Vishanti or maybe even the Darkhold or the book of Kagglestro from the 828 universe. Actually, speaking of Doom's

[03:46] witchcraft, this trailer does show us a glimpse of the Latbeian witches at 42 shot, it looks like one or more of them are standing right behind Doom in this throne room. But another attachment for the figurine shows Doom holding a

[04:00] specific device. Our friends just the nobody's unboxing video noted this and oddly did not go into detail. >> So this device we will not talk about them at a few press events and I can tell you they're often in much closer

[04:13] films than I am and they just know stuff that I definitely don't know. But I do what flies next to Doom in the shot of landing. And I also think it might be the same object Victor could be holding

[04:26] in his hand in this shot. >> ANSWER ME, VICTOR. DID YOU DO THIS? Doom's gauntlet in the bottom of the frame there or if it's the same rectangular device from the figurine. The prevailing theory out there is that

[04:39] this device is the ultimate nullifier. I honestly don't know where this theory convinced of it. In my first glance of it, I thought based on its color that like the time door platform that John Krosinski's Reed Richards uses in

[04:53] who worked on that movie said was based on Dr. Doom's time door in the comics. that it is the ultimate nullifier. The ultimate nullifier is a critical piece back to the Fantastic 4 Galactus arc in 1966. Originally, it was the device that

[05:09] Johnny Storm directed by Uati the Watcher, recovers from Tat 2 and brings back to Earth so that Reed Richards can use it to threaten Galactis into leaving Earth alone. It's basically just a kind of doomsday device that can undo the

[05:21] "Well, I don't want to go down with the ship." Okay, you got me, Mr. Richards. But in the more recent comics in 2022, we learned the device was made by the watcher Imnu. This device can be used for complete eraser of any being, any

[05:34] timeline, any universe, rewriting things so that it never existed. Unlike the extracts people and things from their positions on the sacred timeline and Nullifier just completely eradicates something from any existence. It just

[05:49] unmakes it. Though potentially if this is an MCU version of the ultimate functions kind of like the pruning rod and it's kind of like the ultimate pruning rod, something that bypasses all other pruning rods in the TVA or the

[06:01] source technology of Victor timely and oraoris that all pruning rods were Dr. Doom can use to just immediately banish anything to the void as he's interesting that the ultimate nullifier did not come up in Fantastic 4 First

[06:14] faithful adaptation of the Galactus story line in the comics. Johnny Storm journey to glimpse the Silver Surfer Shallabal's home world. And then that being pivotal in the way the Fantastic 4 were able to defeat Galactis. Now, where

[06:28] and how could Victor von Doom have obtained the ultimate nullifier? Well, there is only one source, FOLKS. NULLIFIER RIOT.SHOP. SHOP TILL YOU DROP YOUR ONE-STOP SHOP for all your nerdy reality erasing gear like this null mask

[06:40] null task one. Alternatively, perhaps after the events of Fantastic 4 first steps in the 828 universe, Liberia was particularly impacted by this worldwide conservation of energy and mobilization to build these teleportation platforms

[06:52] Earth behind, which did end up kind of blowing up in his face when almost all Surfer. I always wondered what happened to those other countries where the ruins of those platforms just started to smolder in those cities. Maybe one of

[07:06] those host countries was Latvveria. And in the smoke and ash of Reed's stupid effort, ruler of Latvia, Victor Von Doom, could be particularly salty. To for defeating Galactus. And Victor,

[07:18] due to whatever was done by Steve Rogers from another universe, Victor might just say, "My invention will nullify such threats as Galactus if Galactus ever returns." And then Victor, after having done some Tony Starkesque tinkering in

[07:31] his lab, has a Eureka moment of a weapon that could actually go far further and erase anything, people, cities, worlds, universes, bad jokes from Eric Voss, any to this scene from the Doomsday trailer, Reed could now be raging at Victor for

[07:45] Victor having used the ultimate nullifier to unmake something or maybe see in this trailer. Or maybe he just completely unmade the whole 828 worried that Reed is so angry up in Doom's face right now. It could result

[07:59] in Victor just saying, "I'm sorry, Reed." And zap! Reed will be ultimate nullified. Maybe that's why Sue seems to be grieving Reed when she opens the the smartest guy in every room. But in this moment with Reed, I think, is where

[08:12] something that's being hidden from us with Dr. Doom in this footage. The first do this?" We cut to this close-up of Victor under the mask and his eyes sadly Doom suits that we're now seeing, there is a theory going around this week that

[08:26] in this movie. One played by Robert Downey Jr. who is some kind of variant of Tony Stark and one played by Killian Oppenheimer. Look, I get it. Marvel

[08:38] Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. We all should be. They positioned Peter Parker as the Jay. Robert Oppenheimer of the MCU with his invention of mutant the Albert Einstein figure who tried to warn him not to. And in the first Iron

[08:51] articles showed that Howard Stark worked on the Manhattan project in the MCU continuity. And in 2025, the Rooster Brothers revealed to Amaleche that in the late summer of 2023, Kevin Feige and Steven Mcily were in discussion with

[09:04] about returning as Dr. Doom. >> Who who came up with with idea to bring Downey Jr. again as that guy >> that was Kevin. >> And interesting enough about that is that conversation was had a while ago

[09:19] >> Robert tried to talk us into doing it and we said no. Weirdly because we said we would come back. We just didn't have a story. We didn't have a way in. And then one day Steve Mcily who's one of our key collaborators said I have an

[09:33] idea. And he called us to pit and we went that's the story. That story has to be told. And the only thing I will say about the movie is this. We love >> who think they're the heroes of their own stories. That's when they become

[09:49] three-dimensional and when they become more interesting. And when you have an actor like Robert Downey, you have to create a well-shaped three-dimensional character for the audience. That's where a lot of our focus is going. Late summer

[10:04] 2023 would have been right after Oppenheimer released and the whole Oscar conversation about Robert Downey Jr. as the villain Lewis Stross was heating up. So maybe McLey's big idea was to have two dooms and cast the hero and villain

[10:16] of Oppenheimer in those roles and tried to hope this theory into existence. Many Killian Murphy speaking Romanian and Peiquey Blinders to show how good he Peiquey Blinders to show how good he would sound as Dr. Doomrop.

[10:33] asked Killian Murphy if he would ever be interested in playing Dr. Doom and the >> For instance, I see a lot of fan art of you as like Dr. Doom, >> Like, have you done your comic book villain thing? Is that hold any interest

[10:46] >> each character is different? You know, Dr. Doom is different than Scarecrow talk. >> Yeah. I mean, I I'm always it's always >> So, I'll I'll read, you know, if someone sends me a script, I I'll I'll read it.

[11:00] up. >> Look, I think Killian Murphy would make a perfect Victor von Doom for the MCU beyond Secret Wars after Robert Downey Jr. steps away from the role. But I just find this theory to be too convenient

[11:13] know how this industry works, and it is really hard to keep a secret that big, an actor like this making not just a one scene cameo, but sharing the title role whose name is in the title of a multi-billion dollar film, there are

[11:28] in that decision, people with assistance, so that this will leak to media, like agents, publicists, managers, lawyers, all of these people's And not to mention, this kind of thing would have to be reported to the union

[11:42] at that union who would love to put this out online. Like, we would have heard before this point. the way we heard rumors about Toby and Andrew starting around 12 months before No Way Home came out. Also, would the Russo brothers

[11:56] Doomsday on everyone in the audience knowing and liking Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning film from 2023? I don't know. There's also the detail that in the trailer, you can see a small mole by the right eyelid. It's hard to see, but

[12:10] blemish on that same eyelid and other bright close-ups of that side of his photographs. Now, I'm not saying there can't be more than one Dr. Doom in this played by Robert Downey Jr., for example. Maybe they are hiding another

[12:24] famous actor behind the mask in other shots, but in this shot, it's definitely it's Robert Downey Jr. in every shot of Doom's eyes that we can see so far in the footage. So then, why does Dr. Doom wear different suits in this movie?

[12:37] Maybe he initially presents himself to these heroes in an unarmored leverian threatening. Like, maybe he has this single clasp suit with no armor and fewer rivets on the mask to present a more diplomatic approach. But when he's

[12:49] and the Avengers start to attack him, he's going to have to switch to his Thor, which would include magical runes imbued in that armor. And I think that would better explain why Reed looks so shocked and surprised by what his friend

[13:02] >> Did you do this? >> ANSWER ME, VICTOR. DID YOU DO THIS? Studios released its official list of essential titles to rewatch before Avengers Doomsday. 15 titles. X-Men
