Last Chance: End of Season Rewards!
44sUrgency-driven content about limited-time rewards creates FOMO and drives views.
▶ Play Clip"The title promises a list of important tasks and what to ignore, and the video delivers a thorough checklist, though it could be more concise."
This video provides a comprehensive checklist of tasks to complete before the release of Patch 12.1 in World of Warcraft, covering story quests, seasonal rewards, currency management, and preparation for Season 2. It prioritizes activities that offer lasting benefits and warns against wasting time on tasks that will be reset or become obsolete.
Season 1 is ending soon, with many rewards becoming unobtainable, including mounts, titles, and achievements. Preparation for Season 2 is essential.
Start the new story quests from Awena in Silver Moon City (quest marker: Hagar's Invitation). These are the first chapter of the 12.1 main story and required to unlock the new zone.
Complete Omnium Folio quests to unlock all talent rows. These provide passive damage/healing bonuses that persist for the rest of the expansion, not just Season 1. One quest per week; do them all.
Check the Delve seasonal journey track and buy rewards from Delve vendors before Season 2. Progress will be wiped, and rewards will be lost or become more expensive.
Defeat the Nemesis for the Nullius Dominite transmog. Higher difficulties reward the 'Lighting the Dark' achievement and 'Ominous' title. Solo on higher difficulty grants the Arcano Void Construct mount.
Level Brann to max (60) for Season 1. He helps with delves and provides a big XP bonus for the first delve daily. His curios will reset in Season 2, so don't worry about maxing them.
Earn 'Ahead of the Curve' (Heroic) or 'Cutting Edge' (Mythic) for Void Spire, Dream Rift, and March on Kellinas. The Sporefall raid offers a mount (Luminous Spore Glider) by combining four Spore Snacks (one per week).
Earn various rewards at rating milestones: 1500 (title), 2000 (mount), 2500 (transmog effect), 3000 (mount), 3400 (title and Time-Lost Saddle). Top 1% get special mounts and titles.
Complete a +10 keystone for each dungeon to unlock teleports. These are useful for travel and future dungeon rotations.
Review the new Mythic+ pool: Den of Narak, Murder Row, Blinding Veil, Void Scar Arena, King's Rest, Ruby Life Pools, Temple of Sethraliss, and the new Altar of Fangs. Practice on PTR if possible.
Earn Gladiator mount, Vicious Snap Dragon mounts, Elite transmog (1800 rating), and Galaxy weapon illusion (1950 rating) before Season 1 ends.
Most Prey Hunt achievements and rewards will be easier in Season 2, with lower difficulty kills counting for higher achievements. Vendor rewards will have renown requirements removed.
Currencies like Crests, Coffer Key Shards, Dawnlight Manaflux, Nebulous Void Cores, and Undercoins will be reset. Spend them on gear or vendor items before the season ends.
Season 1 catalyst charges disappear, but leftover gear can be converted for free. Upgrade gear now to unlock higher transmog appearances, as Season 1 gear won't be upgradeable in Season 2.
Earn the Spawn of Vyonoth mount by getting Mastery of Timeways buff in four different weeks. Also, buy timewalking vendor items (mounts, transmog) as they may not return for months.
Timewalking dungeons provide easy leveling, and the Mastery of Timeways buff stacks up to 30% bonus XP. Great time to level alts.
Season 2 gear will be significantly higher item level (Veteran 279-296, Champion 292-309). Aim for a full set of Hero track gear (item level ~272) to start Season 2 effectively.
Level professions to craft your own gear with the new Spark of Tides. This saves gold and ensures you can craft rank 5 gear for future seasons.
Buy flasks, potions, and weapon oils now while prices are low. Prices will likely rise when Season 2 starts.
Clean out bags, abandon irrelevant quests, and prune add-ons to prepare for the new patch. This makes it easier to manage new content.
Do the Lorwalking quests to brush up on troll lore, as Patch 12.1 is troll-focused.
Patch 12.1 is expected to release on August 11th, based on the end of the Turbulent Timeways event and 8 weeks after 12.0.7. Be cautious and aim to finish by August 4th.
To maximize your Season 1 rewards and prepare for Season 2, prioritize story quests, Omnium Folio unlocks, and seasonal achievements. Spend currencies, upgrade gear, and set up professions before the patch to ensure a smooth transition.

24:35[00:03] almost here, which means we don't have too much longer to get any end of season achievements or goals completed. There are a lot of different rewards being removed as season 1 comes to a close, probably more than we've ever had
[00:16] before, including seasonal mounts, titles, and achievements, and some special event rewards. There are also a few things you can do right now to best prepare your characters for the start of season 2. So, let's go over everything
[00:29] there is to do before patch 12.1 goes live. What we recommend you focus on first, as well as which activities might not be worth your time or effort. Now, that like button and subscribe so you never miss another video. The first
[00:45] complete the new story quests that became available in patch 1207. You can start them by talking to Awena in Silver Moon City, right next to Lorar in the middle. You should have a quest marker on your map called Hagar's Invitation.
[01:01] the quest line. You'll learn a bit more about the Ammani Trolls and what horrors have been hidden in the past. These quests aren't just a story setup. They're actually the first chapter of the 12.1 main story quest line. If you
[01:15] don't do them now, you'll still have to do them when the patch goes live to continue the campaign and unlock the new zone with all of the shiny new content. stuff as quickly as possible, you'll want to get these initial story quests
[01:29] done before the patch goes live. Something else that should be on everyone's list, no matter what kind of player you are, is to complete the Omnium Folio quests to unlock all of the talent rows in this new system. Each
[01:42] unlock provides passive bonuses to your damage or healing, which can help you complete any end of season goals you may have, which is definitely nice. But the real key here is that these powers and runes will not be disabled or become
[01:55] inactive in the new patch. So whatever bonuses you get here are actually bonuses for the rest of the expansion, not just the next few weeks. We'll get one quest per week until we have every row unlocked. So you can complete them
[02:09] wait until they're all available and knock them all out at once. It's up to you how you go about it, but you should complete them all no matter what. The system provides free damage or healing that isn't available from anywhere else,
[02:23] and the powers persist for the rest of the expansion. You don't want to have to come back in patch 12.2 to get these quests done because you skipped over also a chance the dev team adds more
[02:36] runes, talents, or powers into this system over the next few patches. So, unlocking everything now will let you get any new powers much faster. You should also only have to do these quests once after you've done them on one
[02:48] character. All of your alts should have the unlocked folio points ready to spend without doing the quest themselves. Now, I know these quests aren't the most fun in the world, and the runes don't provide a massive power spike like most
[03:01] borrowed power systems used to, but every little helps, and these powers kill raid bosses in the new season or helps you clear Mythic Plus dungeons in time. So, make sure you get these quests done before patch 12.1 goes live.
[03:17] rewards and achievements that will become unobtainable after the season ends. So, if you want any of these goodies, you will need to secure them before patch 12.1 arrives. Let's start with delves and all of the time limited
[03:31] thing you want to do is look at the Delve seasonal journey track. When season 2 starts, we'll have a brand new track with all new rewards to unlock. So, not only will your season 1 progress be wiped, but you'll lose access to any
[03:45] rewards you didn't unlock. So, check the track, see if there's anything you want, progress yet, farm some delves until you get the rewards you're after. For some of these rewards, you'll need to buy them from the del vendors after reaching
[03:58] the required renown rank. So, make sure you do that before they disappear or become significantly more expensive as we move into season 2. In fact, it's a and all of their goodies to pick up anything you might want there just in
[04:11] case. Now, pretty much every achievement tied to the season 1 Nemesis is also Nemesis, which you get for defeating rewards you with the Nullius Dominite Transmog unlock. If you can defeat the
[04:25] Nemesis on the higher difficulty, you can earn the lighting the dark achievement and the ominous title, which is pretty cool. And then the big one is Let Me Solo Him Nullius, which requires you to defeat the Nemesis on the higher
[04:37] difficulty all by yourself. That will reward you with the Arcano Void Construct mount. If you want any of these rewards, you only have until the end of season 1 to collect them. Thankfully, as you gear up, the Nemesis
[04:49] should become much easier, so hopefully it won't give you too much trouble at this point in the season. It's also not a bad idea to level up Valer a bit if you don't have her up at max level, which is level 60 for season
[05:02] 1. Valer can carry you through delves fairly easily, so having her at a higher much easier at the start, which will then help you push up the tiers faster to start earning some big gear upgrades. Leveling her up is really the only thing
[05:17] you can do right now to help your season 2 progress. You get a big experience bonus for her for the first delve you run each day. So completing one bountiful delve per day or just spreading your delve runs out a little
[05:29] bit can help you level her far more efficiently. Now something you don't need to worry about are her curios. All of those are going to be reset for season 2 and will have new options to pick up and upgrade. So if you don't
[05:41] have maxed out curios for whatever reason, don't sweat it. They won't mean anything after season 1 comes to an end. Moving on to the raids, there are even more achievements and rewards that will become unobtainable after season 1 ends.
[05:56] achievement and a cuttingedge achievement for the three main raids of the season. So that includes the void spire, the dream rift, and the march on kellinas. You'll need to kill the last boss of each raid on heroic to earn the
[06:08] ahead of the curve achievements or on mythic difficulty to earn the cutting achievements are only available during season 1, so we have a hard deadline to get those done. There are quite a few extra rewards from the sporefall raid
[06:23] that was introduced in 1207. If you clear the raid on any difficulty, you'll get a delicious spore snack. You can combine four of these together to create a luminous spore glider mount. And you can get these items on any difficulty,
[06:35] including LFR mode. So, it is a very easy mount to acquire. Now, the only problem is that you can only get one of these per week from what I understand. So, it will take you four weeks total to get this mount. With only four or five
[06:48] weeks left in this patch, I would recommend getting this done before 12.1 arrives, as there will be significantly fewer people trying to clear the raid after season 1 ends, and the LFR cues will be monstrously long. As long as you
[07:01] get one LFR clear in per week from here on out, you should get the mount no problem. As an extra bonus that won't apply to most players, if you can clear the raid on mythic, you can obtain some of the best gear in the game, which can
[07:14] help you skip over even more gear requirements as we start season two. Over on the dungeon front, we have more seasonal rewards than ever before. Getting up to 1,500 mythic plus rating or above will get you the keystone
[07:28] conqueror achievement and the umbil title. Getting up to 2,000 rating earns you the keystone master achievement and the calamitous carrying mount. 2500 rating unlocks the keystone hero achievement, which is arguably the
[07:41] party achievement, which rewards with the gleaming sun mode item, which can be used to add special effects to your season 1 class set appearances. 3,000 rating brings you up to keystone legend and the convolescent carry and mount.
[07:55] And then 3,400 rating or higher earns you the keystone myth achievement which rewards you with the umbil contender title and a time lost saddle. You can trade the saddle in for many keystone master or legend mounts from previous
[08:09] seasons. So there are a lot of rewards on offer if you can push up to 3400 rating. But that's actually not all. The top 1% of Mythic Plus players will also receive the Umbreal Champion achievement and the Umbreal Ashes mount, a red and
[08:23] black recolor of the Mythic Raid mount from the March on Kona. As of writing this video, the top 1% cut off for NA Realms is just above 3,800 and for EU But if this is something that you're interested in, I would keep an eye on
[08:38] the cut offs on Raider IO and make sure you're a healthy amount above those as they could change at the last minute. If you're able to push up to the very tippy top of the leaderboards and end the season in the top.1% of players, you can
[08:51] also earn the Umbreal Hero achievement and the Umbreal Hero title. So, there are a lot of rewards on offer, including some very prestigious rewards if you can push your score high enough. Now, if you
[09:04] still want some important rewards, it's also worth noting that completing a keystone on plus 10 or above will still reward a teleport to that dungeon. These are incredibly useful during the season, but kind of less so when the dungeons
[09:18] are no longer a part of the seasonal rotation. With that being said, these dungeon teleports offer you a reliable way to teleport around the world very dungeons are reintroduced into the dungeon pool. I started this season with
[09:32] example, because I picked that up during Dragonflight. They're definitely worth earning in my opinion. So, if you aren't achievements, it's still worth trying to get a plus 10 done for each dungeon to
[09:46] unlock all of the teleport spells. Plus 10s really aren't too difficult this season, so they should be easy pickings for most players. If you want to do a bit of prep work for season 2, it's also not a bad idea to take a look at the new
[09:59] Mythic Plus dungeon pool and revisit some of these older dungeons. It's been four midnight dungeons that weren't included in season 1. So that's the Den of Narak, Murder Row, the Blinding Veil, and the Void Scar Arena. Those will be
[10:12] joined by King's Rest, the Ruby Light Pools, and the Temple of Sethiss. It may be worth running through these dungeons to remind yourself how the bosses work, and just getting a feel for how the dungeons progress. Some of the older
[10:26] ones could change quite a lot for the new season. So, just keep that in mind. And then if you want to go above and beyond with this prep work, you can hop onto the PTR and check out the new dungeon, the Altra of Fangs, which will
[10:38] also be included in the season 2 dungeon pool. Now, for the PvPers, time is running out to secure your end of season goals as well. The season 1 gladiator achievement and mount are only available until the
[10:50] end of season 1, so if you're aiming for that one, time is ticking. You can also pick up the vicious snap lizard mounts by winning rated PvP matches and the elite PvP transmog sets will be unavailable later on as well. You can
[11:03] get those by earning 1,800 rating in rated PvP. If you push a bit further and get up to 1950 rating, you'll unlock the Galaxy weapon illusion, which is one of the more unique illusions we've seen in quite a while. All of these rewards are
[11:17] seasonal, so you don't have too much longer to collect them. Now, as far as most achievements and rewards will be available in season 2. In fact, most things will actually be easier to get. All of the same prey hunt targets will
[11:32] be available in season 2, so you can still get the achievements to kill them. nightmare, you'll get the achievements for nightmare, hard, and normal modes. to do lower difficulty prey hunts just for the achievements. So, that's going
[11:47] significantly reduce the time investment. It also seems like pretty much every reward from the vendor will still be available, except they'll have the renown rank requirements completely removed. So, you don't actually have to
[12:00] grind out the prey season 1 track for these items. You can pick up all of the these items. You can pick up all of the rewards in season 2 for the same cost. As we head into a new season, a lot of currencies are going to be wiped clean,
[12:12] them before that happens. Pretty much all of the currencies under the season 1 includes all of your crests. We'll be earning a new type of crest in season 2 called mist crests. So don't feel like you have to save any crests for season
[12:27] keys, coffer key shards, and your dawnlight manaflux. The nebulous void cores will most likely get reset as well due to the season 2 bonus rolls having you'll be allowed to carry those forward. Undercoins are usually reset as
[12:43] well as we'll have new vendor rewards to buy in season 2. Most of the season 1 available from the Dell vendors in season 2, but they'll cost void light maul instead of undercoins. So, I guess this depends on which currency you'd
[12:58] rather spend. But with the undercoins currency being reset, I would definitely enough undercoins to buy everything you want, you can either farm some more or just wait until season 2 to buy the rest with void light maul. So if you want to
[13:12] spend any of these currencies to upgrade your gear, get some more gear or just buy vendor rewards, do that before the end of season 1. Otherwise, you'll just lose all these currencies for nothing.
[13:24] least changed quite a bit, is the catalyst and your saved up charges. When season 2 starts, all of your season 1 charges are going to disappear. But any leftover season 1 gear you have will be free to convert in the catalyst. That
[13:38] it for free after the new season starts to unlock your tier set transmogs much easier. There is one caveat here though. In season 2, season 1 gear will no
[13:50] longer be able to be upgraded. This is important if you want to unlock the higher difficulty transmog options as you can only do that when you upgrade a example, if you want to unlock the mythic appearances for your tier set,
[14:03] but you don't do any content that rewards myth track gear, you can upgrade a piece of hero gear to six of six, and that will unlock your mythic appearance for that gear slot. This is also the only way to get those transmogs if you
[14:15] do not do high-end mythic plus or mythic raids. Because you can't upgrade your season 1 gear in season 2, you'll have to do this before the new season starts. event is currently underway and there are a lot of rewards you may want to
[14:31] pick up before it ends. Starting with the spawn of Vyonoth mount. To get your hands on this very cool dragon mount, you'll need to earn the Master of the requires you to get the Mastery of Timeways buff during four different
[14:44] weeks of the event. To get that buff, you just need to run four timeing dungeons on the same character. Do that in four different weeks and you're all walking yet, there are only five weeks
[14:56] in four out of those five weeks to earn the achievement. Start too late and you'll be out of luck. Now, you can make this achievement a bit easier by using a character that you don't play a lot. Complete four time walking dungeons this
[15:10] waste buff. And then don't log onto that character until the next week rolls run one time walking dungeon to refresh your buff and get credit for that week with just a single run. Be sure you keep an eye on your achievement progress to
[15:25] week. This event also introduced dragonfly time walking with a bunch of new goodies to purchase for time warped badges. You can find this vendor in Valddra and they offer new mounts, a bunch of dragonfly
[15:39] themed transmog items and ensembles which are very cool indeed. There are a handful of toys and pets and some dragon riding cosmetic items. You can also buy achievement mount rewards like the timely Busby or the Chrono Corsair. Some
[15:54] of these mounts are quite unique, so definitely take a look at those. There options for brand new level 90 characters, and you can also buy factions if you never got around to finishing those off. So, pop by the
[16:08] might want to pick up. A lot of these rewards won't be available until the turbulent time waves comes back around. As the weeks go by and the expansions check out the timewalking vendors for each one. Timewalking events usually
[16:23] have a good chunk of time in between them, which means you can sometimes wait months for a specific expansion to come back around. So, if you want something from these vendors, now is the time to buy it. You may not see some of these
[16:35] vendors again for 6 months or more. And some of them have new rewards to pick up that you may not have seen before. Now, if you're interested in some easy gear, we'll have a time marking event weekly quest every single week for the rest of
[16:47] the event, which rewards you with a box of hero gear. If you're doing the time walking dungeons for the achievement or timewalk badges anyway, you may as well pick that quest up for some easy gear on any characters that still need it.
[17:00] The turbulent time waste event also makes this one of the best times to time walking events means we have access to timewalking dungeons for the rest of the season, and timewalking dungeons have always been an easy way to level up
[17:13] decently quickly. It's not as fast as some other methods, but it's not as mentally taxing either. The mastery of the time waste buff also stacks up to 30% bonus experience gained, which will make every other leveling option much
[17:26] enough time walking dungeons to stack the buff up or refresh its duration, the turbulent time waist event will still help speed up leveling. Right now is in a while. And if you don't have much
[17:40] else to do before the season ends, it's the perfect time to get your alt army characters at max level can help keep things interesting, like being able to play multiple roles or just different classes and specs in delves or dungeons.
[17:53] Having alts can also help you set up all the professions you would ever want or need. You can farm certain currencies faster and complete achievements or content types easier as well. So, having some alts is always worth it. Now,
[18:07] something that always comes up in these videos is the question of gearing up. With season 2 introducing significantly higher item levels and basically resetting the gear treadmill as per usual, is it worth gearing up your
[18:20] characters towards the end of season 1? Well, I think this depends on your plans for season two. If we take a look at the item levels that will be available in season 2, veteran gear will start at item level 279 and can be upgraded to
[18:33] item level 279 and can be upgraded to 296, while champion gear starts at 292 and can be upgraded up to 309. If that seems a bit high, that's probably because the dev team just increased all season 2 item levels by seven, making
[18:46] every source of gear more powerful when compared to season 1. So pretty much in the new season. Even if you're in full myth track gear with a few pieces from mythic sporefall, season 2 champion gear is still a significant upgrade. So
[19:02] being able to hop straight into content that rewards champion gear in season 2 that lets you start powering up immediately instead of being stuck farming adventurer or veteran gear. So,
[19:14] get a full set of hero track gear on any the start of season 2. That should give you a great baseline to jump into bountiful delves, clear nightmare prey hunts, and start working on mythic plus
[19:27] the time walking weekly quests we already mentioned, by killing the world boss and rares in the two new 1207 zones, and by trading in your field accolades to the gear vendors in Silver Moon. You can gear up past that point if
[19:41] you really want to, but if you have limited time to play, I would probably limited time to play, I would probably focus on other end of season goals. up faster in season 2 is setting up your own professions if you haven't done so
[19:54] already. When the new season starts, we'll be able to pick up a new crafting spark, the spark of tides. These new sparks let you craft or upgrade crafting gear to item level 305. You can then use hero crests to upgrade your gear to item
[20:07] level 318 or myth crests to bump it up to item level 331. Note that all the tool tips here haven't been updated with the plus seven item level bump that we seem a bit lower than their actual values. We'll get one spark every week
[20:23] to four sparks to craft or upgrade an item. That means you can get a big gear upgrade every two weeks or so simply by using the sparks and crafted gear. If have to rely on trade chat and crafting orders, which can be confusing and can
[20:40] come with hefty crafting costs more often than not. So, if you set things up yourself, you can very easily craft your own rank five gear, which will save you a boatload of gold in the long run, and you only ever have to set this up once.
[20:52] So, when season 3 comes around later on in the year, and we at the spark of shiny things from that season, you'll be able to craft your own rank five gear straight away, leading to even more easy gear upgrades and saving you even more
[21:04] gold. So, go level up your professions, decide on which items you want to craft first, and focus on those items as you spend your knowledge points. If you have some alts, you can cover all the bases so you never have to find a crafter in
[21:17] trade chat ever again. It's also not a bad idea to stock up on consumables. We don't really have any new consumables being introduced in 12.1 or season 2. We'll still be using the same potions, the same flasks, and the
[21:31] the dev team squeezes in some new profession recipes right at the end of the PTR, which doesn't seem very likely. These items are incredibly cheap right now, especially when compared to the start of season 1. When the new season
[21:45] skyrocket, which could increase prices quite dramatically. I'll be picking up a few stacks of flasks, potions, health potions, and weapon oils, so I don't have to worry about restocking in between raids or dungeon runs in season
[21:59] This is also the perfect time to do a bit of housekeeping. There are three main areas I would look at tidying up. The first is your bags. If you're anything like me, you may try hard to keep your bags clean and tidy for the
[22:12] start of the season so you can easily track down those new drops or potential upgrades. But after you reach a certain point in the season, things just start to accumulate. I have no idea where this stuff comes from. Old gear, random items
[22:25] that may or may not be useful, new tokens or currencies that weren't put into the currency tab for some reason. You know how it is. Now is the perfect time to sort through your bags. Stow away anything actually important in your
[22:37] bank and deal with any unwanted or spare gear. We'll have plenty of new potentially useless things to collect in patch 12.1, so you'll want to make sure you go into the patch with a good chunk of empty bag space. The next thing to
[22:50] look at is your quest log. If you don't have much to do towards the end of the through those side quests you told Figure out which quests are actually worth holding on to. Most daily or
[23:03] weekly quests aren't going to be relevant when the new patch hits. So, there's no harm in abandoning those if you aren't actively working on earlier, get any story quests done so you don't have to worry about that when
[23:16] the new patch launches. Going into a new patch with a clean quest log is very satisfying and it makes it much easier to see what quests and content is new or relevant. And then the last thing I would take a look at are your add-ons.
[23:29] Comb through your add-ons, see if anything is super out ofd and not even working anymore, and trim your list down to the ones you actually use. If there are add-ons that were specifically installed for certain season 1 features,
[23:41] those aren't going to do you much good in season 2. This is also a great time to tinker about with your UI if you aren't happy with how things look. It's better to get that old ship shape before the patch launches rather than trying to
[23:53] get your add-ons to work in between mythic plus dungeon runs. and you're still looking for more content to fill in the month or so we have between now and patch 12.1, it's not a bad idea to work through the new
[24:07] familiar with the history of the trolls or the lower. The law walking quests lower and show you some of the most iconic moments from the past. With patch 12.1 being very troll focused, it's nice to brush up on your troll lore before we
