7:33[00:00] Are you a streamer that's tired of your
[00:01] boring, disgusting stream design, but
[00:03] you don't want to spend any gosh darn
[00:05] money? Lucky for you, in this video,
[00:06] I'll show you this new overlay website
[00:08] that I found that you can use to upgrade
[00:10] your stream for free. So, let's check it
[00:12] out. The website is called overlays.uno
[00:14] and I'll leave it linked in the
[00:15] description down below so you can follow
[00:16] along at home. And luckily, they were
[00:18] nice enough to sponsor this video so I
[00:20] can show you guys how to use it. So,
[00:21] let's do our little trick. Ready? 1 2
[00:23] There. That's better. But literally,
[00:24] it's super easy. Once you're on the
[00:25] website following that link, just scroll
[00:27] down and see they got a bunch of
[00:28] different categories. They got one for
[00:30] sports which includes a bunch of
[00:31] different leaderboards and scoring. They
[00:32] have a bunch of different gaming ones
[00:34] for esports overlays, podcasts with
[00:36] social pop-ups, money effects, pretty
[00:38] much a bunch of unique things that you
[00:39] don't really see on other overlay
[00:41] platforms. And yes, you can use all
[00:42] these for free. I've already went ahead
[00:44] and scrolled through and picked out a
[00:46] bunch of my favorites that I think are
[00:47] going to benefit you guys as streamers
[00:49] the most, and I'll show you how to set
[00:50] them up. So, once you've made your
[00:52] account, all you have to do is go to
[00:53] library here, and you'll be able to see
[00:54] all of the different overlays that you
[00:56] can use. Then when you find something
[00:58] you like, all you have to do is click on
[00:59] it. Then you're going to click add to my
[01:00] overlays. So click that button and it's
[01:02] going to be added to your overlays
[01:03] collection, which you can then find in
[01:05] the lefth hand side here. So simply
[01:06] click that. And you can see I have my
[01:08] collection of overlays here. And a
[01:10] really cool thing is that if you don't
[01:12] see a certain overlay already in their
[01:14] library, the devs are actually really
[01:15] nice to where you can ask them to add
[01:17] one. All you have to do is just join
[01:19] their Discord server and then post the
[01:21] idea or request that you have because
[01:22] they're always looking to add more
[01:24] overlays for their users. They have a
[01:26] really nice selection of countdown
[01:27] timers and starting soon screen. So, I'm
[01:29] going to start with this one right here.
[01:31] It's a full screen countdown glide. You
[01:33] can get the same one if you want. We're
[01:34] going to hit the three dots here and
[01:36] then we're going to hit open. Now, you
[01:37] can obviously trigger the overlay on and
[01:39] off with this button here. And this is
[01:40] where we're going to set your countdown
[01:41] timer. So, if you want to have, let's
[01:43] say, a 4m minute or 3 minute countdown
[01:45] timer, you can adjust everything here
[01:47] and then when you're ready to hit it,
[01:48] you'll hit play and it'll start the
[01:49] countdown. And then you can also set
[01:51] your countdown end message for when it
[01:52] actually reaches zero. So, you can
[01:54] adjust those settings there. But you can
[01:55] move to the customize tab where you can
[01:57] change the color. You can change the
[01:59] going live in. So the title. So if we
[02:01] want to call this stream starting in
[02:03] blank and we can change that text up
[02:04] there. We just got to click off of it
[02:06] and it will update it there. You can
[02:07] also change the timer format. You can
[02:09] add an image. You can change the layout.
[02:10] So for example, if we want to change
[02:12] this color from purple to let's say like
[02:14] a pink. I feel like that's kind of cool.
[02:15] Then we can go to the settings and you
[02:16] can adjust more settings here like oh my
[02:19] god. Nope. Dark theme. You can't just
[02:20] don't touch that. Okay. We have more
[02:22] settings here if you'd like. So now we
[02:23] can go back to control. So, if we look
[02:24] in the top right corner, this little TV,
[02:26] this is what we're going to copy into
[02:28] OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Meld, whatever
[02:30] you want to use a browser source to
[02:31] display to your viewers. And then next
[02:32] to that, we have this controller. And
[02:34] that's going to be how we're going to
[02:36] control all of this. So, if you don't
[02:38] want to have this website open every
[02:39] time, we can actually use this
[02:40] controller and put it in OBS Studio as a
[02:42] doc. So, we can control it directly from
[02:44] OBS or we can scan the QR code in the
[02:46] top right corner next to it with our
[02:48] phone. So, literally, you'll have all
[02:49] the settings on your phone. And then the
[02:51] little key next to that is going to be
[02:52] the token that you need for the Stream
[02:54] Deck plug-in. All you got to do is
[02:55] download and install it and then paste
[02:57] the actions in. So, you have plenty of
[02:58] different options, but we're going to
[02:59] start easy with this little TV button.
[03:01] Click that. We're going to open up OBS
[03:02] Studio or whatever you're using. We're
[03:04] going to add a new source. This one's a
[03:06] starting soon scene. So, we're going to
[03:07] go into that source and add a new
[03:09] browser source. I'm going to call it
[03:11] glide countdown. And I'm going to hit
[03:13] okay. And then I'm going to paste in
[03:14] that URL we just copied. Hit okay. And
[03:17] then now you'll be able to see we have
[03:18] our beautiful stream starting in
[03:20] countdown timer. And if you want to make
[03:21] it bigger, you can adjust the size. I
[03:23] honestly just like to rightclick and
[03:24] then go to transform and then go to fit
[03:26] to screen. And now we have it fit to the
[03:28] screen. As you can see there, it ended
[03:29] and we have that little countdown
[03:30] message if you want to have a message.
[03:32] If not, you just erase it. And you would
[03:33] do so by literally just turning it off.
[03:35] So now let's reset and play it again so
[03:37] I can show you guys how to import that
[03:38] doc. So, if you want to have these
[03:40] controls in OBS Studio or on your phone,
[03:42] all you have to do is hover over this
[03:44] little game controller, click on it for
[03:46] OBS, and scan the QR code for your
[03:48] phone. Then, once you're in OBS Studio,
[03:50] you're going to go to docs and custom
[03:52] browser docs. We're going to go to a new
[03:53] one. We'll call this glide control, and
[03:55] then we're going to paste in the new
[03:56] URL. Hit apply and close. Then, we're
[03:59] going to have this dragged to whatever
[04:01] part of the screen you're going to want
[04:02] it on. I'm going to have it, let's say,
[04:03] on the left side. And now we have all of
[04:05] the different settings that we had on
[04:06] the website directly in OBS. So, we can
[04:09] adjust the timer if we need to get more
[04:10] time, we want to pause it, reset, if we
[04:12] want to have literally any customization
[04:14] options. All of it's done within your
[04:15] phone on the website or as a dock. So,
[04:17] you have so many different choices to
[04:19] pick from. Another overlay that I found
[04:20] that'll be useful for streamers is this
[04:22] nice snow effect since the holidays are
[04:24] right around the corner. They also have
[04:25] a bunch of other effects, but the snow
[04:26] one I feel like could be cool. All you
[04:27] got to do is hover over it, click the
[04:29] three dots right here, and hit open.
[04:31] You'll be brought to the same page.
[04:32] Though, honestly, you don't really need
[04:34] this as a dock or on your phone since
[04:36] you're really not changing too much
[04:37] stuff. You can have the speed set to
[04:39] fast slow amount heavy light
[04:41] medium. You don't really have to change
[04:42] too much. So once you're done doing
[04:43] that, just click the little TV and
[04:45] you'll get that output URL, aka that
[04:47] browser source. Then you can go to your
[04:49] just chatting scene and we're going to
[04:50] click a new source. Browser source. I'm
[04:52] going to call this one snow. Hit okay.
[04:54] We're going to paste this in except I'm
[04:56] going to change the width to 1920x 1080
[04:58] so it'll fit the whole screen. Hit okay.
[05:00] We're going to make sure it's above the
[05:01] webcam, which it is. And now we got this
[05:03] beautiful snow effect for the holidays.
[05:05] Fun for the whole family. literally took
[05:07] like 30 seconds tops. So, let's check
[05:08] out a couple more. As a streamer,
[05:10] promoting your other socials is really
[05:12] important because you want to grow on
[05:13] more discoverable platforms. So, the
[05:15] social loop lower third socialable is
[05:17] pretty good. So, I'm going to click on
[05:18] those dots, hit open. Then, you can see
[05:20] under the properties, they have so many
[05:23] different things. So, if you want to
[05:24] display your Discord, you can, or your
[05:26] email or anything like that. We'll just
[05:28] keep it really simple. For Instagram,
[05:30] I'm just going to put my Instagram
[05:31] username. And then my message could be
[05:33] like follow me on IG. And then we'll do
[05:35] the same thing for Tik Tok. And then
[05:36] we'll do the same thing for YouTube. And
[05:38] then I'm going to erase all the other
[05:39] stuff. You can already see the changes
[05:41] that have been made on here. So if you
[05:42] want, you can go to customize and change
[05:44] the autoplay. You can change the display
[05:46] duration. For autoplay, I would
[05:48] recommend maybe having it like every 5
[05:50] or 10 minutes. But I'm going to leave it
[05:51] on forever. So that way it's constantly
[05:53] going on the screen just for display
[05:54] purposes for this video. But if I were
[05:56] you, I'd probably do like 5 or 10
[05:57] minutes. And then display duration,
[05:59] maybe 5 seconds each. And then other
[06:00] than that, we're good to go. So click
[06:02] that little TV button and let's go to
[06:03] OBS. We'll do it on the just chatting
[06:05] screen. So, we'll hit plus browser.
[06:07] We'll call it socials. Hit okay. Paste
[06:09] in that new URL. Hit okay again. And now
[06:11] we're going to drag this over to the
[06:13] bottom left corner. You'd see it right
[06:14] about there. I'm going to maybe make it
[06:16] a little bit larger. So, maybe about
[06:18] there would be good. Now, we got a nice
[06:20] holiday themed just chatting scene with
[06:22] social shoutouts on our stream for free.
[06:24] Another one that I thought was really
[06:25] neat is this talking points panel
[06:27] access. So, we'll do the same thing.
[06:28] We'll open that. I'm not sure if you
[06:29] guys are familiar with co-working
[06:31] streams. I just found out about them,
[06:32] but this could be a really useful
[06:34] feature for that cuz basically you have
[06:36] like a to-do list or a task list, which
[06:37] you could also use for other streams.
[06:39] So, all you got to do is pick your
[06:40] colors here, well as where you want on
[06:42] the screen. I'll choose left talking
[06:43] points. We'll change local news to to-do
[06:46] list. And then for the topics, we'll
[06:47] just have everything on our to-do list.
[06:49] And this is really great way for people
[06:51] who weren't able to show up at the
[06:52] beginning of stream, but joined halfway
[06:54] to see what you guys are doing and
[06:56] what's been done. So, if you're a
[06:57] co-working stream, you could literally
[06:58] put your to-do list here. Or if you're
[06:59] playing Fortnite, you could do get 10
[07:01] kills, get two wins, get to level 50.
[07:04] And then we'll just get rid of the other
[07:05] two. And then we'll change the topic
[07:07] count from five to three cuz we only
[07:08] have three. Then from here, we'll just
[07:10] click the little TV. We'll just say this
[07:11] is our gaming scene. We're going to add
[07:13] another browser source. We'll call it
[07:14] list. Hit okay. Paste a new URL. Hit
[07:17] okay again. Going to make that larger.
[07:18] And now we got our to-do list right
[07:20] there. But really, there's over 551
[07:22] results as of making this video. So
[07:25] there's so many different things for you
[07:26] to get your hands on completely free.
[07:28] And like I said, if they don't have it,
[07:30] then just join their Discord and put in
[07:31] a request. Now, while the overlays are
[07:33] free, they have to pay their developer
[07:34] somehow, which is where they have their
[07:36] optional upgrade where for $3 a month,
[07:38] literally the price of a chicken
[07:40] sandwich or less, you can upgrade to get
[07:41] benefits such as more image storage, ad
[07:44] free experience, and be able to edit
[07:45] certain presets. But once again, this is
[07:47] completely optional. The overlays are
[07:49] indeed free. So, if you want to check
[07:50] out overlays.uno, the link is at the top
[07:52] of the description below. And if you
[07:53] want to keep making your stream look
[07:55] extra professional, then you should
[07:56] watch this video to the side of me. I'm
[07:57] going to show you exactly how to do that
[07:59] in that video.
