Master the Wall Bounce in Apex
53sThe wall bounce is the signature movement tech that separates casuals from pros, and this quick breakdown makes it look easy.

[00:04] Hey guys, Sonics here. I hope you're
[00:05] having a beautiful day. Today I'm going
[00:07] to be giving you uh, you know, a new
[00:09] movement guide for Apex Legends season
[00:11] 29. Now, this is well overdue. I am I'm
[00:15] so glad that we're doing this because
[00:16] this season has a lot of new movement
[00:18] tech, especially this new legend Axle.
[00:20] Um, so I think it's it's time. The last
[00:22] one we did was probably like over a year
[00:24] ago, so it's it's time that we do an
[00:25] updated one.
[00:27] Uh, the very first thing before anything
[00:28] else is to go to your settings and make
[00:32] sure you do you go to your gameplay and
[00:33] then you're going to make sure your
[00:36] your always sprint is on and then your
[00:38] auto run is off, okay? Now, if you're
[00:40] playing a controller, which I know a lot
[00:41] of you guys are, mouse and keyboard, you
[00:43] don't really need to worry about
[00:44] anything. Uh, I should make a mouse and
[00:45] key
[00:46] uh, movement guide in the future, but
[00:48] for right now, we're just setting on
[00:49] controller. Uh, the button layout,
[00:51] whatever is comfortable for you, okay?
[00:54] Um,
[00:54] everyone has their their preference. I'm
[00:56] going to go ahead and and kind of link
[00:58] on the top right, uh, my most recent
[01:00] controller settings guide, if you want
[01:01] to check that out. At the end of this
[01:03] video, I'm going to link that as well.
[01:04] So, if you if you want to get updated
[01:06] settings for that. But other than that,
[01:07] I think the you know, whatever is
[01:09] comfortable, you know, some people
[01:11] really like evolved or or uh, button
[01:14] puncher, so just mess around with which
[01:16] is easiest for you. But for me, I like
[01:18] to stick on default. Now, make sure your
[01:20] crouch is set to toggle. Uh, this is
[01:22] actually debate. Some people like on
[01:23] hold, some people like on toggle. I like
[01:25] mine personally on toggle, uh, but mix
[01:28] and match, like I said, try these
[01:30] movement techs out with my settings
[01:31] first and always change it later if you
[01:33] don't like it. Uh, and that's it. Once
[01:36] you have these settings, you can go to
[01:37] this spot in the firing range. It should
[01:39] be like this is where you spawn in
[01:41] there.
[01:42] And just slide down and then go to the
[01:43] right.
[01:44] And then you can just go to this little
[01:45] area here. And then once you get here,
[01:48] this is this is going to be the best way
[01:50] to practice all these movement
[01:51] techniques.
[01:52] The very first movement tech that I
[01:54] should probably show you guys is if you
[01:56] have not mastered the wall bounce yet,
[01:58] this is it. This is the wall bounce.
[01:59] This is the quintessential kind of what
[02:03] Apex is
[02:05] known for, the wall bounce.
[02:07] Because, you know, not a lot of games
[02:09] have this tech. You know, this is not
[02:11] Titanfall, but we can start wall running
[02:13] and stuff, but it's close. I mean, we're
[02:15] you know, you could you could do some
[02:16] awesome kills with this thing.
[02:18] Um so, you know, if you're pushing a
[02:20] guy, he's not going to expect you. If
[02:21] you're running away,
[02:23] you know, if you try to try to get away
[02:24] here, you know, you get a little bit
[02:26] more momentum that way. So, the wall
[02:28] bounce is is is very very crucial to
[02:30] learn. Now, to be able to do this one
[02:32] correctly, it's it's not too hard. You
[02:34] just going to want to make sure you know
[02:35] how to slide jump.
[02:37] So, all all you need to do is slide
[02:38] jumping is to walk forward a little bit
[02:40] and you slide and then you jump. That's
[02:42] it. My binds are on the left-hand side
[02:43] there, by the way, if you if you want to
[02:45] be able to see, you know, what you do
[02:46] correctly. And you just slide jump.
[02:48] That's it.
[02:50] So, just run, you slide, and then you
[02:52] jump.
[02:53] You run, you slide, you jump. Now, Axle
[02:55] is probably the best legend I would
[02:56] recommend practicing some of these
[02:58] movement techs on because she's the
[03:00] easiest way to teach
[03:02] if if you're a beginner movement player
[03:04] because she has no dead slides. That's
[03:06] it. She's literally the easiest
[03:08] character to do it.
[03:09] No dead slides at all on her. It's
[03:11] insane. So,
[03:13] just practice on Axle and once you get
[03:15] to that slide, just jump. That's it.
[03:19] So, you're just going to slide and then
[03:20] you jump.
[03:21] Run and you slide and then you jump.
[03:23] You run, slide.
[03:25] My gosh, slides feel so much faster on
[03:27] her, too. So, yeah, once you get the
[03:29] hang of that,
[03:30] do it on a wall. So, you see remember
[03:32] the gray bar I told you guys? Just run,
[03:34] slide, and then
[03:35] fall down. Run, slide, and then fall
[03:38] back down.
[03:40] Your left-hand stick that you're going
[03:41] to want to make sure you do is to make
[03:43] sure you actually look at the wall
[03:44] itself, okay? Um
[03:47] once you hit that wall,
[03:49] put your stick back.
[03:51] Now, if you put your stick back, if you
[03:53] time it right, you're just going to end
[03:55] end up falling down to the ground cuz
[03:56] you're not climbing the wall. If you
[03:57] have your stick forward, look what
[03:59] happens.
[04:01] You're going to climb, which you do not
[04:02] want to do. Sometimes, if you want to
[04:04] hold the wall bounce a little longer,
[04:06] yeah, if you want, you know, some people
[04:07] do that, but
[04:09] you're going to want to fall down, okay?
[04:11] Once you fall down,
[04:13] uh not fall down. Once you hit your
[04:15] stick back, you're going to press the
[04:16] exact same time your jump button again,
[04:19] okay?
[04:20] So, for me that's the the letter A
[04:22] there. Um and for some people, if you're
[04:24] playing on PlayStation, that could be,
[04:26] you know, an X. So, I'm just showing you
[04:28] once I'm not I'm not jumping yet, but
[04:30] once I jump and connect it together,
[04:33] there you go. So, I'm putting my stick
[04:34] back as soon as I hit the wall and then
[04:36] jumping at the same time. And after if I
[04:38] do that correctly, then I should be able
[04:40] to get the wall bounce really, really
[04:41] well, okay? So,
[04:44] go ahead and do that. Uh try it with
[04:46] Axle's new new new movement. I mean,
[04:48] she's insane. So,
[04:50] get a lot of momentum like this. You
[04:52] just redirect. And this is on
[04:53] controller, so this is, you know,
[04:55] there's a lot of mouse and keyboard
[04:56] players now that can tap strafe and do
[04:58] all that stuff. This is how you start to
[04:59] compete against that. Um and start to
[05:02] pull off really cool clips. Now,
[05:03] implementally, how to do this
[05:06] uh in fights is to just get over objects
[05:08] like this. That prevents you from having
[05:11] to get in a situation where you're
[05:13] having to run and climb this thing and
[05:14] then you get shot in the back, right?
[05:16] Because now you can get away for free.
[05:18] Like if you if you wall bounce
[05:20] correctly, okay? Obviously, in that
[05:21] scenario, it was it was in a right uh
[05:24] yeah, right there. That's perfect. So,
[05:25] use it to get around places quick.
[05:28] And then another way is to use it to
[05:30] attack. So, a wall bounce breaks ankles
[05:34] easily.
[05:35] And then, you know, like that.
[05:38] Just make sure you land your shots, too.
[05:39] >> [laughter]
[05:40] >> But if you wall bounce on someone, most
[05:42] likely you're going to end up landing
[05:43] those shots first and the opponent is
[05:47] going to be stuck tracking you in the
[05:49] air, or they just get psychologically
[05:50] juked out and they're like, "Whoa, hold
[05:52] on. I I Someone just wall bounced on
[05:54] me." And it freaks them out a little
[05:55] bit, and then they they they sell their
[05:56] aim. So,
[05:59] you know, practice your your wall
[06:00] bounces in this spot in the range, and
[06:02] practice just pushing the bots, running
[06:04] away, getting over this platform,
[06:06] clearing it, um you know, making sure
[06:08] that you actually end up not climbing
[06:09] like that. That's a bad thing to do.
[06:11] Just practice, you know, really lasering
[06:14] your movement a little um just a little
[06:15] bit more in this spot in the range. Once
[06:17] you get the hang of the wall bounce,
[06:18] you're going to start implementing that
[06:19] in your game, and you're going to
[06:20] realize, "Well, I just
[06:21] I wish I did I learned this a long time
[06:23] ago, because this is the kind of the
[06:25] quintessential movement trick in Apex."
[06:27] It's not the most important, because
[06:29] sometimes, if you're in a close-range
[06:31] situation, just going to be a little too
[06:34] close to you, right? So, you have no
[06:36] time if this guy right here is shooting
[06:38] at you. You have no time to run back
[06:40] here, and then all right, hold on, sir.
[06:41] Let me just
[06:43] let's pull the wall bounce off real
[06:44] quick, and then I'll shoot you.
[06:46] There's not enough time. There's There's
[06:48] There's no time at all to react. So, in
[06:51] sense in certain scenarios, you have to
[06:52] pull off something called the fatigue
[06:54] wall bounce, where
[06:56] you're you're fighting a guy, and then
[06:58] bam, you pull off a wall bounce in front
[07:00] of him.
[07:01] Not like Sonic. Wait, you thought I
[07:03] thought you need to slide into that. No.
[07:05] If you just need to get in a position
[07:06] where
[07:08] sliding into it to get to this angle,
[07:10] the gray bar, like I showed you, there's
[07:11] a way to get into that gray bar without
[07:13] having to slide. It's called the fatigue
[07:15] wall bounce. So, to
[07:16] be able to do this, all you have to
[07:19] really do
[07:20] is just jump. Look at the So, go to this
[07:23] spot in the range, this this little dot,
[07:25] uh this little, you know, orange dome,
[07:27] and then look at this dot with, you
[07:28] know, if if you're with your melee
[07:29] button out. Okay?
[07:31] And then, once you're here, just jump
[07:33] once. Do you see how you can see the
[07:35] blue target in the back?
[07:37] See the blue target?
[07:39] That blue target in the signifies that
[07:42] you're currently in a full jump. Okay?
[07:44] You're not in fatigue mode because I'm
[07:45] jumping every like 1 to 2 seconds. Now,
[07:48] if I jump a second time faster, if I
[07:50] jump once, and I keep jumping, I just I
[07:53] I don't clear this wall anymore. I just
[07:55] can't see.
[07:57] I'm in fatigue mode. If I wait a little
[07:59] bit and then I jump, then I'm back. Then
[08:01] I wait a little bit, I jump, and then
[08:02] but if you keep jumping, you're in
[08:05] something called fatigue mode.
[08:07] Uh which is a really cool thing because
[08:09] if you're in this mode,
[08:11] look, if I jump, I'm over I'm over the
[08:13] great this gray bar, right? If I if I
[08:15] fatigue, I'm looking at that bar. Doing
[08:19] the slide jump
[08:20] is essentially putting you at that same
[08:23] level of just jumping like this. So, if
[08:26] you just jump if you keep jumping after
[08:28] your first jump, or you just jump a
[08:30] second time, you don't have to keep
[08:31] jumping, you guys. If this guy's looking
[08:33] at you, just jumping, you look you now
[08:35] you look like a bot.
[08:37] But if you if you just jump once and you
[08:38] jump a second time,
[08:40] or third, or fourth, whatever,
[08:42] uh and then you run up the wall,
[08:45] a wall bounce is pulled off without
[08:47] having to slide. See that?
[08:51] See how powerful that is?
[08:53] And guess what?
[08:55] This stacks. It's un- You can do
[08:57] unlimited. So, I'm going to go here, and
[09:00] then as soon as I land, I'm actually in
[09:02] fatigue mode. So, you don't have to jump
[09:04] a second, third, fourth, fifth time
[09:06] after you land. So, I jump, I'm in
[09:08] fatigue mode here.
[09:10] Technically, I can just jump again. I
[09:12] can just jump again. I can just jump
[09:14] again. And then this becomes unlimited,
[09:16] right? What if you get really good at
[09:18] this and you start just lasering people?
[09:21] Like
[09:23] Obviously, I feel like
[09:25] a PK would work a little bit better
[09:26] here. So, let's grab that, and I'll show
[09:29] you I just I mean, this is this is just
[09:31] I mean, a massive Let's try a massive
[09:32] cuz the the massive doesn't have an
[09:34] animation. So, if you're fighting this
[09:36] guy, and you literally fatigue bouncing,
[09:38] so I'm going to go ahead and do that.
[09:41] I mean, look look at this thing.
[09:44] This is I mean, this is not even fair
[09:45] anymore to fight. It becomes like one of
[09:47] the most annoying You become an annoying
[09:49] player to fight. Like one of those guys.
[09:52] But but from your perspective, you're
[09:53] pulling off a nasty clip. Right? So,
[09:57] practice the fatigue jump, and you could
[09:58] chain it. Like if after a regular wall
[10:00] jump, you're in fatigue mode already.
[10:02] So, you could start chaining where you
[10:05] just regular wall bounce, you fatigue
[10:06] jump, you fatigue jump here, go back
[10:09] here, fatigue jump, pull off a regular
[10:11] wall bounce. You see how it's it it can
[10:13] build upon itself, and it becomes easier
[10:16] to do the more you do it. So, yeah,
[10:18] that's the fatigue jump. This is that
[10:20] that's that that's a lot more useful in
[10:22] in close-range situations. If you have a
[10:23] little bit more distance, sure, pull off
[10:25] that that's the regular wall bounce. But
[10:27] if you're in like a close-range
[10:29] situation, you need to go over this
[10:30] wall, just fatigue jump over it.
[10:32] Okay? Very very very important trick, um
[10:36] but I it's a very crucial to learn.
[10:38] Now, the next uh
[10:40] technique is the I think it's a very
[10:42] important to bring this up now, because
[10:43] a lot of people used to This is the
[10:45] originally the super glide is
[10:49] one of the strongest movement techs in
[10:50] Apex okay?
[10:52] Um
[10:53] this is probably the most crucial
[10:54] movement tech that you want to learn.
[10:57] Um other than any of the the you know,
[10:59] fancy stuff we'll talk about later, but
[11:01] this Learn this. This is the the
[11:03] originally what was the super glide,
[11:05] which is now called the mantle boost.
[11:07] Okay? So, learn this. And I'll show you
[11:10] exactly exactly how to do this, but just
[11:11] look at the amount of movement that I'm
[11:14] getting
[11:15] um in order to be able to do something
[11:17] like that. I mean, it's crazy. From a
[11:18] standstill position, right? I'm not
[11:21] >> [laughter]
[11:21] >> I'm not just running here out in the
[11:23] open. I'm I'm flying myself forward. All
[11:25] right? I'm not even playing Valk, which
[11:27] is my, you know, my main character.
[11:29] So,
[11:30] a mantle boost is essentially an Apex
[11:32] kind of
[11:33] uh you know uh the devs of this game
[11:35] wanted to to kind of
[11:38] showcase this as an official ability
[11:41] because the super glide before was
[11:43] it was just it was just hard to do. Like
[11:45] it's frame dependent before you'd have
[11:47] to time your frames perfectly
[11:50] to a jump and a crouch at the exact same
[11:52] time and then you jump together and then
[11:54] you pull off a wall not a wall bounce
[11:56] you pull off a super glide. But now it's
[11:58] it's given in the game actually this
[12:00] this mantle boost is actually faster and
[12:02] it launches you further than a super
[12:04] glide itself. So
[12:06] you know practice this one because this
[12:08] is I mean this is free this is a free
[12:10] movement tech that that
[12:12] >> [laughter]
[12:13] >> you'll end up learning. This one has
[12:15] you know behind you this is going to be
[12:16] a little trail streak that shows that
[12:18] you did the mantle boost and there's
[12:20] going to be a little boost noise you see
[12:21] that look.
[12:24] So I mean that's the main thing
[12:27] but other than that I mean you'll still
[12:28] get the movement tech and everything and
[12:30] you're just going to be able to
[12:31] eliminate the enemies a lot more cool
[12:33] and a lot more a lot more style. So go
[12:35] to your settings
[12:37] and then go to the your HUD UI and then
[12:40] you're going to go to your
[12:43] actually no your movement and then
[12:45] you're going to go to your mantle boost
[12:46] activation keep that to jump and then
[12:49] your mantle boost UI keep that to full
[12:51] okay because every time you climb
[12:54] something at the very end of your climb
[12:56] you see the little you see the white dot
[12:59] right first you see that. Do you see do
[13:01] you see how this little animation shows
[13:03] that you have to line it up to the white
[13:04] dot that little circle will close right
[13:06] on time and it'll tell you when to boost
[13:09] and you just have to jump again that's
[13:10] all. And if you time it right you just
[13:13] boost at the very end of your climb and
[13:15] then you'll end up doing the the mantle
[13:17] boost okay. So
[13:20] this is free practice this in the range
[13:22] practice this. Do if if you want want to
[13:25] hit like you know 10 reps Uh you know,
[13:28] just do 10 in a row. Make sure you don't
[13:30] miss one. So, you know, just keep
[13:31] counting. If you miss one, try again.
[13:33] And before you know it, this is like
[13:34] second nature to you.
[13:36] And if it's like I said, if it's if it's
[13:38] if it says success, it'll just go away.
[13:40] It has a little blue. If it's too early,
[13:42] it says that. You mantle boosted way too
[13:44] early. See that? I'm trying to jump
[13:45] [laughter] before, and it's way too
[13:48] early. So, make sure you time it right.
[13:51] If it's too late, you're just going to
[13:52] end up jumping regularly. And you just
[13:54] didn't Now you don't end up doing the
[13:57] uh boost. So, time it right to that
[14:00] spot.
[14:02] And yeah, you should be good to go. On
[14:04] Octane specifically, this is huge cuz
[14:05] you get momentum on this already. So, if
[14:07] you just jump and then you start
[14:09] sliding, you see how like how much speed
[14:12] you end up getting?
[14:14] I mean, look at that thing. And then you
[14:16] could stack you could stack super glides
[14:18] together or um mantle boosts together.
[14:20] So,
[14:21] you know, you slide and then you do like
[14:23] this. So,
[14:25] practice this because
[14:28] I guarantee if you have not learned this
[14:29] tech yet, um this is going to increase
[14:32] your just how much you're able to move
[14:34] across the map and push enemies. Like,
[14:36] look how fast this is. Look at this.
[14:41] I mean, that's not even fair. Like, if
[14:42] you're pushing someone like that, like
[14:44] they can't Bro, like it's it's just game
[14:46] over. Just go back to the lobby at that
[14:48] point, right? So,
[14:50] the mantle boost slash old the the
[14:52] upgraded super glide, make sure you
[14:54] practice that one cuz that I mean that
[14:56] that's going to change your whole game.
[14:58] And just spend time in the range just
[14:59] doing these movement techs, okay?
[15:02] The next one is going to be the
[15:04] the
[15:05] fade slide slash quick slide. Now,
[15:09] this is essentially, like I said, with
[15:11] most characters. I'll do it on a
[15:12] non-Octane character cuz I feel like
[15:14] it's
[15:15] >> My ultimate
[15:15] >> I don't want to be showing you guys a a
[15:17] character on that you're going to
[15:19] >> Ultimate ready.
[15:20] >> just need to play to maximize the
[15:22] movement. Like, what if you have a
[15:23] different main? So, for this tech
[15:25] uh like I said, remember earlier when
[15:26] you take one step or you take a a single
[15:29] step, you can't slide. You see I get the
[15:31] dead slide there?
[15:33] You know?
[15:35] Yeah, I I can't instantly like I have to
[15:36] if I try to walk through the store, I
[15:38] have to walk all I can't have to
[15:40] actually walk all the way through to
[15:42] slide.
[15:43] See how I get a dead slide even halfway?
[15:45] Even if like three-fourths No.
[15:47] Around around like the 75% marker, I can
[15:50] actually slide.
[15:52] But right before I enter the next door.
[15:56] No, not even.
[15:59] Yeah, it's it's it's really it it's a
[16:01] really long time until I can slide cuz
[16:02] look, that's a dead slide. I'm barely
[16:04] I'm not moving anywhere. But if I wait a
[16:06] little bit longer, then I could slide.
[16:08] So,
[16:10] the reason why that happens is because
[16:12] your weapon slows you down.
[16:13] Like whatever weapon you hold then most
[16:15] people think oh, you're going to hold
[16:16] the pistol, it's going to make me move
[16:17] faster. No, you move the same speed if
[16:20] you're carrying your charge rifle, okay
[16:21] guys? Or or or a rampage fully fully
[16:24] stocked. Okay? So, if you have a weapon
[16:26] out, you're going to you you need to
[16:27] take at least three or four steps in
[16:29] order to be able to slide.
[16:30] Okay? So, 1 2 3 4 and then slide.
[16:33] 1 2 3 slide. 1 2 3 slide.
[16:36] 1 2 3 slide. So,
[16:38] if you don't have a weapon out, if you
[16:39] have a you're going to holstered
[16:41] you could slide like right away.
[16:44] Instantly.
[16:45] You see that?
[16:48] From a from a stand still position, like
[16:49] if you're here, usually you'd have to
[16:52] look you'd have to run here and then
[16:54] slide cuz you can't just do it from a
[16:56] stand still, like if you're fighting
[16:57] someone.
[16:58] See that? There's a dead slide, but if
[16:59] you if you if you have your weapon
[17:01] holstered
[17:03] I get it I I can slide right away.
[17:05] See how quick that is?
[17:07] So,
[17:09] to use this in situations the the the
[17:11] fade slide slash quick slide, just just
[17:14] start practicing unholstering holstering
[17:17] your gun. That's all you got to do. Like
[17:19] it's just the Y button or {slash}
[17:20] triangle on a controller on PlayStation.
[17:23] Just practice holstering.
[17:25] And when you holster, then you slide
[17:27] jump like for the one we talked earlier.
[17:29] Holster, slide jump. Okay?
[17:32] Holster, slide jump. Cuz you could do it
[17:35] instantly. If you just go stand here and
[17:37] you slide jump, you can't. But if you
[17:38] holster, slide jump, then you can.
[17:41] See the difference there? So you you you
[17:43] look this guy, slide jump, get your gun
[17:45] back out. Um
[17:47] there's a way to do it instantly that
[17:49] I'm going to show you guys where you you
[17:51] you like here.
[17:55] Uh and that's a very specific timing,
[17:57] okay? So you're going to make sure you
[17:59] have your weapon
[18:00] out first, okay? And then you holster
[18:03] your gun.
[18:04] And then you're going to
[18:06] like this this is a very crucial step.
[18:08] You're going to get your gun back out
[18:10] with a with with Y or triangle.
[18:13] And then you slide jump.
[18:15] Okay?
[18:16] Does that make sense? So
[18:19] weapon out,
[18:20] holster,
[18:23] unholster, and then slide jump.
[18:25] You do that you just practice that
[18:27] slowly, okay? If you can't do it as
[18:29] fast, perfect. That's fine.
[18:31] Holster, unholster, slide jump. It's
[18:34] it's I can't do it now because you have
[18:35] to increase the speed.
[18:37] Uh holster, unholster, slide jump. Now
[18:39] do you see how I can get the instant
[18:41] instant slide? Because the game thinks
[18:43] that you're still holstered even though
[18:44] you have your weapons are already coming
[18:46] out. So that's the cool way to do it
[18:48] where you can instantly slide from a
[18:51] from your from like
[18:52] you basically have momentum when there's
[18:54] no momentum at all.
[18:56] So I'm just I'm I'm able to
[18:59] to shoot,
[19:00] slide, and then re-challenge this guy.
[19:03] So the way that people do it in
[19:04] scenarios is if they want to shoot, they
[19:06] want to slide, and then they they re re
[19:09] you know, re-attack cuz you're not
[19:11] killing dead time by just running out in
[19:12] the open. You prevent all of that with
[19:15] this. So, practice this one.
[19:18] Um obviously on Axle, I feel like this
[19:20] thing is even more broken cuz
[19:24] you just keep sliding even if
[19:26] >> [laughter]
[19:27] >> you know, you just do that. And like I
[19:28] said, she has literally zero dead
[19:30] slides so
[19:32] it makes it even easier for her like
[19:33] that. So,
[19:34] yeah.
[19:35] This is the season to learn all the
[19:37] movement techs. So, I'm glad you guys
[19:38] have made it to this video so far if you
[19:40] if you've been watching all the way
[19:41] through.
[19:42] Um
[19:43] after the fade slide {slash} quick
[19:45] slide, uh the next thing you want to
[19:47] learn is bunny hopping. Now, like I
[19:49] said, in gameplay, you want to make sure
[19:51] your
[19:52] um
[19:54] your toggle on on your controller, you
[19:56] want to make sure your your crouch
[19:57] button's at a toggle. Um this is the
[20:00] easiest way that I have learned to bunny
[20:02] hop is is look at my A and B. I'm just
[20:05] interchanging my jump and crouch to be
[20:07] able to get the bunny hop in. Now, she
[20:10] Axle, like I said, is really strong cuz
[20:11] she can she's like Horizon in a way that
[20:14] she can turn whenever she wants to in
[20:16] the air.
[20:18] Um she has like
[20:19] Horizon has air strafing, she has like
[20:21] ground strafing. So, you could just get
[20:23] in and out of situations really really
[20:25] really quick with Axle.
[20:27] Um like you could try this on other on
[20:29] other legends, but you just can't turn
[20:31] like the way that as fluid as she as she
[20:34] can. And if you have speed,
[20:37] you just you you just go faster. So,
[20:38] like with her tactical,
[20:41] look at that. So,
[20:44] you know, just practice on Axle, like I
[20:46] said.
[20:47] Um
[20:47] and once you get the hang of that, you
[20:50] could go back to hold if you feel like
[20:52] you can't do it like that. And then you
[20:54] just all you have to do with this is
[20:55] it's actually probably a lot easier this
[20:57] way. You just end up holding your your
[20:59] your crouch while you're running. And
[21:01] then you just hit your
[21:03] your jump jump jump jump jump jump jump.
[21:06] You're not having to spam jump crouch
[21:08] jump crouch jump crouch. Okay?
[21:11] For me, the other one works better. I
[21:12] know it's kind of crazy to say, but uh
[21:15] experiment in which you feel like it's
[21:17] more comfortable for you, okay? So, just
[21:19] jump, crouch, jump, crouch uh is is the
[21:21] toggle, and then jump, jump, jump while
[21:23] holding your crouch is your hold. I want
[21:26] to check with Axle cuz Octane used to be
[21:28] able to heal while bunny hopping. Let's
[21:30] go ahead and see if Axle has that
[21:31] ability as well. So, I'm going to go
[21:34] ahead and
[21:37] Oh, no, it doesn't look Okay, so it
[21:38] looks like
[21:39] they don't have that on Axle cuz that
[21:41] would be broken. But, if obviously if
[21:43] you have your tactical
[21:47] Oh, yeah, so you have a little bit of
[21:49] that ability to do that. Okay, that's
[21:50] pretty cool. So, Octane is the only
[21:53] character right now who can
[21:55] technically
[21:58] Yeah, see, he can heal while bunny
[21:59] hopping. So, if you're an Octane main or
[22:01] if you want to learn how to play Octane,
[22:03] uh he's still cuz a lot of people like,
[22:05] "Oh, Axle's way stronger than Octane
[22:07] now." or whatever. He did Axle doesn't
[22:10] have that ability to bunny hop and heal
[22:12] at the same time. For what we just
[22:13] tested out, Octane, let's watch this.
[22:17] Oh, yeah, that I mean, we're we're still
[22:19] in business, guys.
[22:20] We're still in business. So,
[22:23] uh definitely try Octane out if you have
[22:26] not got the chance because he is still
[22:29] uh the cool movement demon that you
[22:30] know. Now, the next movement tech I'm
[22:31] going to show you guys is the zipline
[22:33] super jump. Now, you obviously you need
[22:35] to be, you know, with ziplines, which
[22:37] there's going to be a lot in the map
[22:38] anyway, so you're going to learn
[22:39] This is essential to learn this one.
[22:42] If you interact with a zipline by by,
[22:44] you know, riding it, and then you jump,
[22:46] then you could get a cool little thing
[22:48] where you could get a lot of a lot of
[22:49] distance covered quick. See that? And if
[22:52] you shorten the time in which you do it,
[22:54] it feels like you're not even
[22:56] interacting with a zipline itself. You
[22:58] see how it interact and then jump? See
[23:00] how fast that is?
[23:03] So, that's how some people do the the
[23:04] the zip line jump. That's the zip line
[23:06] regular jump almost. It's better than
[23:09] regular jumping cuz look, I'm going to
[23:10] try to regular jump. I'm not even make
[23:11] it. I'm I'm not even making it to that
[23:14] at all.
[23:15] I'm literally I'm I'm missing it.
[23:18] But if I if I if I if I zip line and
[23:20] jump regular jump, I'm definitely making
[23:22] it over that. Um I'm clearing it cuz I
[23:24] got a little bit more distance.
[23:26] But a zip line super jump, guys.
[23:30] Look at Yeah, you didn't probably didn't
[23:31] expect that, right?
[23:33] So, obviously it beats this. It beats It
[23:37] beats this. And I mean it just it just
[23:39] tops everything. I mean look at the look
[23:41] at look at the distance I clear on this
[23:42] thing.
[23:43] I mean that's
[23:44] that's that's crazy.
[23:46] So,
[23:48] yeah, try this out. It's going to It's
[23:49] going to It's going to blow your mind.
[23:52] Also, I need to make sure I'm going to
[23:53] set my crouch back to toggle there.
[23:55] See how it's easier to slide on axle
[23:56] with this? Yeah, I know.
[23:58] Try this Try I guess I try on toggle.
[24:00] It's going to It's going to blow change
[24:01] your mind.
[24:03] But yeah, this is a zip line super jump.
[24:04] Like this this this This allows you to
[24:07] do it so quick. And on on regulars
[24:10] you know, zip lines like this,
[24:12] where they're not you know, they're
[24:13] they're horizontal not vertical,
[24:16] you can jump so high cuz this is a
[24:17] regular jump.
[24:19] Well, this is a regular jump at first
[24:20] and this is a zip line regular jump and
[24:22] then this is a zip line super jump.
[24:24] Okay?
[24:25] Now to do this
[24:27] to do this right, all you got to do is
[24:29] go to your make sure you're on your on
[24:30] your um
[24:33] If you look at my buttons there, I'm
[24:34] just pressing interact
[24:36] and then jump jump. That's it. Interact
[24:38] jump jump.
[24:40] Now, I use paddles on my controller, but
[24:42] I'm not even using my paddles for this
[24:44] because I've tried it on paddles in the
[24:46] in the back of my controller, but it's
[24:47] not even it's it's not consistent. Like
[24:49] right now I'm trying it and it's it's
[24:52] sometimes I'll end up missing because I
[24:54] think some of the paddles like don't
[24:55] register it fast enough but your face
[24:57] buttons. So, if you don't even if you
[24:58] have a regular controller, it it this
[25:00] might be an advantage for you because
[25:02] I'm I'm just pressing interact jump jump
[25:05] and I can get 100% of the time. Like it
[25:07] won't miss.
[25:08] So, I'm just pressing XAA or square XX
[25:10] if you have the regular if you have PS4
[25:12] controllers.
[25:13] Bam.
[25:14] Interact jump jump. And it has to be at
[25:15] that speed where you can feel it.
[25:17] Interact jump jump. Oh.
[25:19] Interact jump jump. Okay?
[25:21] Interact jump jump. And if you're if
[25:23] you're if you're trying this right now
[25:25] like in the range, use my voice as a
[25:29] kind of a guide. So, interact jump jump.
[25:30] It has to be that speed. It can't be
[25:32] interact jump jump. Or it can be
[25:35] interact jump jump.
[25:37] Interact jump jump. No, it has to be
[25:38] interact jump jump. It has to be like
[25:40] that fast.
[25:41] Okay?
[25:43] That it has to be that speed because at
[25:44] that speed
[25:45] the game thinks that you're you're
[25:47] jumping twice and then it literally
[25:49] launches you in the air so fast. I mean,
[25:51] it's insane. And obviously, if you're
[25:53] playing Octane,
[25:54] right?
[25:55] You can land back on the ground
[25:57] and then that that gives you some
[25:59] momentum as well to slide around. So,
[26:02] you know, practice this, guys. Practice
[26:04] this is the zipline super jump will get
[26:06] you far.
[26:07] Because, you know, a lot of like if
[26:09] you're trying to trying to go up there,
[26:11] if you do that normally, you get shot at
[26:13] cuz the zip is so slow, right? Or if you
[26:15] try to Obviously, the worst way is to
[26:17] just climb this. Don't don't do that.
[26:19] Right? But if you're here
[26:21] and then you zipline super jump, bam,
[26:23] look at that. Oh my gosh. So, I just
[26:25] cleared all that in an instant.
[26:27] So, practice that zipline super jump
[26:28] when you get the chance. Um
[26:31] and let me know in the comments if you
[26:32] can get the timing down for that cuz
[26:33] that's a very very crucial one. Now, the
[26:35] last movement tech that I normally talk
[26:37] about in my movement guides is the, you
[26:38] know, is the the mantle jump. This is
[26:41] originally where you would
[26:43] you know, if you have a zipline, you can
[26:45] just you could go here. There's a
[26:46] there's a even faster way to do it where
[26:48] you look down and then and all that
[26:50] stuff. But I realize now with the
[26:52] implementation of
[26:55] uh you know, with
[26:56] with a mantle boosting, like doing this,
[26:58] it kind of gets rid of that, too,
[27:00] because this this tech is probably the
[27:02] hardest move in tech to ever pull off,
[27:04] like if you're on controller. Cuz it's I
[27:06] I I have tried I mean, I've been in the
[27:08] range probably for like an over an hour
[27:09] now, and it's still difficult. And to
[27:11] And if you try this with your mantle uh
[27:13] boost option set to jump,
[27:16] it's it's hard to do it. I'll do it in
[27:17] slow-mo of what it it should look like
[27:19] where you you go to zip, you go here,
[27:22] you would you wouldn't
[27:24] you go here in this mantle, you would
[27:25] technically walk forward and then back
[27:27] up, and then look up or something, and
[27:29] then you would go up here, which is
[27:31] cool. I mean, that's a that's a move
[27:32] tech that you can learn in my previous
[27:33] videos if you want to go check those
[27:34] out. But, for right now, I would
[27:36] recommend, you know, not spending the
[27:37] time like in your days cuz this takes
[27:40] you like this can take you weeks to
[27:42] months to master.
[27:43] But, with a mantle uh since the mantle
[27:46] boost has has come in, not the mantle
[27:47] jump, cuz that's the one I just I'm
[27:49] trying to show you guys earlier, but the
[27:50] mantle boost, this is just I mean, this
[27:53] gets rid of 99% of people's problems
[27:55] with movement. So,
[27:58] like I said, practice that, and once
[28:00] you're like I said, with a mantle boost
[28:01] as well, sorry, I forgot to mention this
[28:02] earlier, you could go back to the
[28:04] movement section, and then you could
[28:05] just turn the UI to hide prompt, and
[28:08] you're not going to get the um you're
[28:09] just going to get the actual symbols,
[28:12] and if it's if it's exceeded, it's just
[28:13] going to turn blue, and if it's too
[28:14] early, it's going to stay red. But, if
[28:16] you really want to keep that off, like
[28:18] minimal is I think that's just the
[28:20] circle, right? And that's cool to have,
[28:22] but I I literally keep mine set to
[28:26] uh
[28:27] not like I just feel it when I move
[28:29] forward. Do you see how I don't have I
[28:31] have no indication if I failed or not,
[28:32] but obviously, I know when I hit it
[28:34] because
[28:36] look at that. I mean, look at the speed
[28:37] in which I'm I'm going here.
[28:40] It's it's insane.
[28:42] So,
[28:43] yeah, I mean, Axel, like I said, try her
[28:45] because if you're
[28:46] all these movement techs
[28:49] kind of are much stronger because Aksel
[28:51] is now here.
[28:53] And since Aksel like is the newest
[28:54] legend, I actually spent it really long
[28:56] time making a very, very complete guide
[28:59] for her. So, that's the next video that
[29:00] I recommend you to watch because if you
[29:02] know all this movement tech, it it won't
[29:04] work if you don't know how to use her
[29:05] abilities as well. So, learn how to do
[29:07] that. Here's the updated guide right in
[29:08] front of your screen. Go ahead and click
[29:10] that guide. I will see you guys in that
[29:12] video. Have a good rest of your day.
