Wall Bounce Tutorial
45sThe wall bounce is the most fundamental movement technique in Apex Legends, and this clip breaks it down step-by-step, making it highly educational for players.
▶ Play ClipThis video is a comprehensive movement guide for Apex Legends Season 26, focusing on Bangalore as the meta character. The creator, Sonx, teaches essential movement techniques like wall bouncing, fatigue bouncing, and super gliding to help players gain a competitive edge.
Sonx introduces the guide and recommends controller settings: default layout, crouch on toggle, and always sprint on.
The wall bounce is the most fundamental technique. Practice slide jumping into a wall, then pull back on the stick and jump to bounce off.
To perform a sideways wall bounce, face the wall at the last second before hitting it. This tricks the game into thinking you're climbing forward.
Wall bounces can be used to escape or push enemies unexpectedly, breaking their line of sight and making you harder to track.
Also called no-momentum or infinite wall bounce. Stand close to a wall, jump twice to enter fatigue mode (lower jump height), then climb and bounce off.
Fatigue bouncing allows you to maintain gun readiness while moving quickly, unlike climbing which holsters your weapon.
Holster your weapon to slide faster. Practice unholstering and slide jumping to gain speed and surprise enemies.
For bunny hops, set crouch to hold. While holding crouch, jump repeatedly to maintain sprint speed and dodge bullets.
Frame-dependent technique. After climbing, at the peak of the climb animation, press jump and crouch simultaneously to launch forward.
Press interact, jump, jump quickly while on a zipline to gain extra height or distance. Timing-based, not frame-dependent.
Advanced technique combining zipline super jump with mantling. Two versions: baby version (stand and look up) and advanced version (backward input).
Mastering these movement techniques will significantly improve your gameplay in Apex Legends Season 26. Practice consistently to integrate them into fights and gain an advantage over opponents.
"The title accurately describes the content; it's a comprehensive movement guide for Season 26."

19:40[00:00] My name is Sonx and welcome to the
[00:01] season 26 movement guide for Apex
[00:03] Legends. Now, this season focuses on
[00:05] Bangalore as the main meta character.
[00:07] So, you're going to want to learn all
[00:08] these movement techniques to capitalize
[00:09] her movement in the battlefield. Now,
[00:11] before anything, if you play in
[00:12] controller, I just use the regular
[00:14] default layout. And then I also make
[00:16] sure my crouch button is set to toggle,
[00:17] and I'll show you why. And also, under
[00:19] gameplay, you want to make sure always
[00:20] sprint is always on. Now, the very first
[00:22] movement technique I want to teach you
[00:23] guys is the wall bounce. The wall bounce
[00:24] is probably the most fundamental
[00:26] quintessential movement technique you're
[00:28] going to learn in this game. And you're
[00:29] going to realize why in a second. Now,
[00:31] in order for you to do this correctly,
[00:32] you're going to first want to learn how
[00:34] to practice slide jumping. In order to
[00:36] slide jump is very simple. All those
[00:37] default settings and everything that it
[00:39] taught you is going to help you now. So,
[00:41] you're just going to run and you're
[00:42] going to start sprinting right away. And
[00:43] in order for you to do the slide jump,
[00:46] you're just going to while you're
[00:47] running, you're just going to slide.
[00:48] You're just going to hit your slide
[00:49] once. See, you don't have to hold it
[00:51] because it's toggle. And then you're
[00:52] just going to jump. Now, once you get a
[00:54] hang of that, you're going to want to
[00:55] just find a wall like so. And I want you
[00:58] guys to practice on a wall that is
[00:59] essentially kind of, you know, you're
[01:01] not going to start off in an angle.
[01:02] You're going to want to be directly
[01:03] facing the wall like so. Cuz a lot of
[01:05] people start wanting to do like sideways
[01:08] um wall bounce, 360s, and a whole bunch
[01:10] of other techniques, but you need to
[01:11] understand the fundamentals first. Find
[01:13] a wall like so, and just find a flat
[01:14] wall like this. And once you find
[01:16] something like this, you're going to
[01:17] want to learn how to just slide jump
[01:19] into the wall, okay? Instead of just in
[01:21] an open space, just slide jump into the
[01:23] wall. Once you do this, you're going to
[01:24] notice you're going to start climbing if
[01:26] you press your stick forward. See that?
[01:29] See, I'm climbing now. If I put my stick
[01:30] backward, watch this.
[01:34] I fall down, right? See that? See how
[01:36] I'm starting to fall down?
[01:38] You you you see how where we're going
[01:40] here, right? It's starting to kind of
[01:41] connect. See that? All you're going to
[01:44] do is while you're putting your stick
[01:46] backward, you're just going to press
[01:48] your jump button. That's literally it.
[01:50] That's the only missing ingredient.
[01:53] That's it. You're going to slide. You're
[01:55] going to start climbing. You put your
[01:56] stick backward. I know it sounds looks a
[01:58] little weird right now, but you do that
[02:01] fast enough. You see, I'm I'm I'm
[02:03] tightening the timing a little bit.
[02:06] And then bam, watch this.
[02:09] The wall jump gets as soon as you start
[02:11] climbing the wall or as soon as you hit
[02:13] the wall, put your stick backwards and
[02:14] you're going to hit your jump. you just
[02:16] do progressively
[02:18] um smaller steps each time. You don't
[02:21] want to just learn all this crazy
[02:22] movement. Now, just keep practicing this
[02:24] when you get the chance, even while
[02:25] you're in game. Practice this as much as
[02:26] you can. Now, a lot of people ask me,
[02:29] Sonic, how do you do the sideways wall
[02:30] bounce like this? Cuz a lot of people
[02:32] have a problem when they as soon as they
[02:34] try to do a sideways wall bounce, they
[02:36] get a failed little climb thing like
[02:38] that or or it doesn't really connect,
[02:41] you know? See, I'm trying to fail and it
[02:42] just it's not really working. cuz the
[02:44] more that you practice, the more it is
[02:46] almost impossible to fail a movement
[02:47] technique. So, I'll teach you guys how
[02:49] to do this right now. So, if you have a
[02:50] wall like this, you're going to want to
[02:51] make sure you face the wall every time
[02:54] that you perform a wall jump. It doesn't
[02:55] matter the angle that you're going. You
[02:57] can even go from a sideways position
[02:58] like this and still hit the wall jump.
[03:00] So, in order for you to do this, you
[03:02] just have to make sure you face the wall
[03:04] right before you hit it. That's
[03:05] literally the only secret ingredient
[03:07] that you're missing. Because if you're
[03:09] not facing the wall, obviously if you
[03:12] jump, you're not going to be able to
[03:13] connect to anything. But if you turn
[03:15] last second, you're going to be able to
[03:17] hit the wall jump because your character
[03:19] thinks that it's still climbing that
[03:21] wall. Even like it thinks that you're
[03:23] still looking forward even if you're not
[03:24] because you're just kind of mimicking
[03:26] the forward look by turning last second.
[03:29] It's going to be a little bit more
[03:30] difficult than it is to do a regular
[03:32] wall jump. But you practice this well
[03:33] enough and bam, that's it.
[03:38] The timing has to be a little bit more
[03:40] tight in the sideways wall jump. That's
[03:42] it. That's the only difference there.
[03:44] Now, Sonic, how do we actually implement
[03:46] this in fights to make this very useful?
[03:48] Let's say you are fighting this guy
[03:49] right here, right? You know, and he he
[03:50] gets you more low than you get him.
[03:52] Let's let's just say you're losing the
[03:54] fight. He's going to come around this
[03:55] corner expecting you to either run away
[03:58] in a straight line that way or probably
[04:00] try to challenge him. But what you can
[04:02] do instead is if you're in this angle
[04:04] right here, you could perform a wall
[04:06] jump like this and get across here. And
[04:09] all he's going to see, he's going to see
[04:11] this guy jumping. Bam, bam, and like
[04:13] mentally himself like that guy just just
[04:15] is doing movement. I'm probably not
[04:17] going to chase or he's not going to be
[04:19] able to track you because movement is
[04:20] going to be in your favor. And the
[04:22] second way to use it in a fight is that
[04:23] way you can kind of push someone with it
[04:24] and catch them unexpectedly. Let's just
[04:26] say that this guy right here is kind of
[04:28] playing that corner, right? What you can
[04:30] do, a lot of people, they just kind of
[04:32] walk up and play this corner. And if
[04:33] you're this guy, you're just going to
[04:35] simply fry right away because you're
[04:36] kind of corner peeking, right? But no
[04:38] one's going to really expect you to
[04:40] perform something like this.
[04:43] And then bam, you eliminate that guy.
[04:44] You could even, you know, do that, too.
[04:46] So, what it does is it breaks his line
[04:49] of sight. You're kind of breaking his
[04:50] ankles essentially, you know, in a 21st
[04:52] century kind of term. So,
[04:55] see what I did there? And
[04:58] I'll teach you that one in a little bit.
[04:59] the the fatigue bounce. But essentially,
[05:00] that's what you want to do if you want
[05:02] to get good with a wall bounce. Just
[05:04] practice it in game. Even when you're
[05:05] just running in game, just practice as
[05:07] much as you can. Uh perform the wall
[05:08] bounce just as much as you possibly can
[05:10] and then you're going to be solid. Now,
[05:11] the next movement technique that you
[05:12] already saw here earlier is the fatigue
[05:14] wall bounce. And this fatigue bounce is
[05:16] essentially also called the no momentum
[05:18] wall bounce or the infinite wall bounce
[05:20] because you can kind of keep chaining
[05:21] this back and forth. It literally is an
[05:24] infinite like look at that. How insane
[05:26] that is. You can keep going back and
[05:27] back and back. So, it's it requires no
[05:31] momentum, no jumping necessary in order
[05:33] or no like you know warm-up jump or
[05:36] slide jump needed for you to perform
[05:38] this compared to this one. All right, so
[05:40] this one uh is the regular wall bounce.
[05:43] This is the fatigue bounce standing from
[05:45] the wall and then wall bouncing. You see
[05:47] how crazy that is? So, I'm going to
[05:48] teach you how to do this right now. Find
[05:50] a wall like like so, which you keep
[05:52] using this one if you want to follow
[05:53] this in the firing range. And then
[05:54] you're going to practice literally
[05:56] standing a little bit close to the wall.
[05:58] U maybe like 1 ft away from the wall.
[06:00] You don't want to be exactly touching
[06:01] the wall because you're going to start
[06:02] climbing it. And you don't want to be
[06:04] too far cuz now you're performing a
[06:05] regular wall bounce. You want to be like
[06:07] right right around there. Like just
[06:08] enough. If you once you find an area
[06:11] like this, you're going to practice just
[06:13] jumping once.
[06:14] >> Now I want you to see this great this
[06:16] little brown.
[06:17] >> Let's reposition here
[06:18] >> bar right here. Okay. When I jump, I
[06:21] kind of look at it straight. It looks
[06:24] exactly, you know, eye level when I
[06:26] jump. See that? Now, if I keep jumping
[06:28] again, like a second or third time,
[06:30] watch what happens. Do you see how I
[06:32] don't see that that brown bar anymore?
[06:34] It kind of hide it. It's it's it's too
[06:36] far. If I wait a second and I jump and
[06:39] it resets that jump. When when I'm not
[06:42] able to see that brown bar, that
[06:45] essentially means that I'm in fatigue
[06:46] mode. And this is the crucial golden
[06:50] timing where you can pull off a fatigue
[06:52] bounce.
[06:55] Right? If you try pulling off the
[06:56] fatigue bounce in a perfectly jump
[06:59] jumpable state like that where you get
[07:01] the normal height jump, watch what
[07:02] happens.
[07:04] It doesn't go so far. See that?
[07:09] You just you kind of just fall off the
[07:10] wall. I mean, it's it's something, but
[07:13] it's not as well as great as this.
[07:16] I mean, that's it's insane the
[07:18] difference. So, essentially what you're
[07:21] doing is this this this little limbo
[07:23] mode where you're you're not jumping as
[07:25] high. You might like you might think,
[07:27] "Oh, well, fatigue mode doesn't sound
[07:28] that great cuz it's like, you know,
[07:30] you're tired, fatigue." It's actually a
[07:32] sweet spot for you to kind of capitalize
[07:35] on. And then what you want to do here is
[07:37] just climb the wall and just bounce out
[07:39] like a regular wall jump. Jump, jump,
[07:42] jump, jump, jump. It doesn't matter how
[07:44] many times you jump. After your second
[07:45] jump, you're already in fatigue mode.
[07:47] You're going to interact to the wall,
[07:49] right? And while you're interacting,
[07:51] you're going to press your stick
[07:52] backwards and then press your jump.
[07:55] Okay, that's it.
[07:58] Jump, jump, jump, jump, hit the wall,
[08:00] stick backwards.
[08:02] Okay, now you can also do this with your
[08:04] stick kind of forward. I'll teach you.
[08:07] I'll show you that now. See that? and
[08:10] you kind of stay in place,
[08:13] which means you're like, "Wait,
[08:16] whoa." When you as soon as you land,
[08:18] you're still in fatigue mode. You see
[08:20] that?
[08:22] When as soon as you land and you keep
[08:24] jumping, you're in fatigue mode. You
[08:26] don't reset until you wait until a
[08:28] second or two and then you reset.
[08:29] Meaning that you can actually keep
[08:32] chaining this. Look, fatigue jump.
[08:34] Fatigue jump. Fatigue jump. It's It's
[08:37] unlimited. It's only when you wait a
[08:39] second where it doesn't work anymore.
[08:42] So, if you if you do this right and then
[08:45] you're fighting someone here in this
[08:46] corner, can you imagine just how how
[08:50] insane that is? Now, if you do land a
[08:52] little bit further away, sure, at that
[08:55] point, you can go ahead and jump jump
[08:57] and then you could perform the slide
[08:59] jump. If you kind of keep practicing
[09:02] kind of going forward while you jump,
[09:05] you're just going to keep being able to
[09:07] do the fatigue jump.
[09:09] Really, really powerful stuff. Another
[09:11] way to use it in game is to kind of get
[09:13] around places much faster. If you climb
[09:14] this spot right here, you're more
[09:16] exposed, especially like if there's
[09:18] someone waiting here. Oh, they see you
[09:20] climbing. Bam, you're dead. That's it.
[09:22] Or this guy's chasing you, right? If
[09:24] you're climbing, you're trackable. But
[09:26] if you perform a fatigue jump,
[09:30] bam, now you're ready for him when he
[09:31] comes and chases you. Or if there's
[09:33] someone up here, you have your gun still
[09:36] out. See how much more powerful that is,
[09:39] right? But if you're climbing, right? If
[09:41] you're climbing, watch this. Watch this.
[09:42] Your gun goes away and then it comes out
[09:44] as soon as you kind of land. But if
[09:47] you're fatigue jumping, your gun still
[09:49] stays active.
[09:51] See that? I mean, it's literally so
[09:53] powerful. Like for example, right here,
[09:54] I'm going to do a fatigue jump. I'm just
[09:56] going to go backwards. Hit this guy. Hit
[09:58] this guy. I want to escape. Bam. Fatigue
[10:00] jump in here. It's a multi-use,
[10:02] multi-functional, and you want to
[10:04] practice this ability really, really
[10:05] well. Now, the next movement technique
[10:07] is the fade slide, also known as the
[10:09] quick slide. So, essentially, this is
[10:10] what it looks like.
[10:14] So, let's say that there's this guy
[10:15] here right?
[10:19] Powerful stuff. In order for you to do
[10:21] this really well, I want to teach you
[10:23] something. Especially right here in the
[10:24] firing range. If you're doing this, make
[10:26] sure to come to this firing range right
[10:27] here. Okay? This spot right here, this
[10:30] little shadow will teach you exactly
[10:32] what I'm talking about. If you stand
[10:34] right here in this gray block and you
[10:36] want to try to slide, essentially just
[10:39] slide
[10:41] it'll you you kind of have to cross this
[10:43] whole thing, this whole ocean right here
[10:45] in order for you to slide. You see that?
[10:51] Now, what does this do for this enemy
[10:52] here? They're going to see someone dead
[10:54] sliding. Yeah, you're going to look like
[10:55] this.
[10:58] Oh, hi neighbor.
[11:01] And then you're going to go here. It's
[11:02] going to it's going to look slow-mo to
[11:03] them because that's that's literally how
[11:05] you get killed in almost every situation
[11:06] in in in a lot of games. You're just not
[11:08] moving fast enough. See dead slide? It
[11:12] doesn't work until I'm here.
[11:15] To fix this, if you have your gun away
[11:18] or holstered essentially, like you have
[11:21] your melee weapon out, then you could
[11:23] slide. See how much faster that is? I
[11:24] can slide right at the kind of shadow
[11:27] line. See how powerful that is?
[11:32] And you kind of skip. You can even do a
[11:33] slide jump here. Watch. See that?
[11:37] Because what it what the game
[11:39] recognizes, if you have your gun out,
[11:40] it's not going to let you slide until
[11:42] you take a few more steps and then you
[11:44] slide. If you have your gun away, the
[11:46] game the game gives you more mobility
[11:48] and you move much faster essentially
[11:51] with with the game. That's just kind of
[11:52] how the way movement mechanics work in
[11:54] Apex.
[11:56] You're going to have your gun. You're
[11:57] going to essentially holster your
[11:59] weapon. And I know it sounds weird here
[12:01] because you want to slide jump, right?
[12:02] But you don't want to slide jump yet.
[12:04] You want to h, you know, you want to put
[12:06] your gun back and then you're going to
[12:07] slide jump. If you do it too slow,
[12:10] obviously it's not going to work because
[12:12] you're going to have your gun already.
[12:13] But you do it fast enough. You're going
[12:16] to have your gun
[12:18] holster, unholster, and then slide jump.
[12:20] Look, I'm going to I'm going to get my
[12:21] gun back, but then I'm going to slide
[12:22] jump, too. See that? That's the most
[12:26] crucial step. You can, if you want to
[12:28] practice it really, really slowly, you
[12:30] just want to get in a in basically have
[12:32] your gun holstered. Then you're going to
[12:34] unholster and then slide jump. So, just
[12:36] literally practice that. Unholster,
[12:37] slide jump.
[12:39] Unholster, slide jump. Unholster, slide
[12:42] jump. That's it. And when when you get a
[12:45] little bit more advanced in there,
[12:46] practice doing it with your gun out.
[12:49] Holster, unholster, slide jump.
[12:55] You move like that in the map, no one's
[12:57] going to be able to track you at all.
[12:58] Let's say you're going to fight this
[12:59] guy, right? If you want to push him,
[13:02] right?
[13:03] If you want to slide jump, look, a dead
[13:05] slide here. That guy's going to headshot
[13:06] you right away. If you want to slide
[13:09] jump, you have to walk all the way
[13:10] halfway across in order for you to do
[13:12] so. If you start, you know, playing
[13:14] cover in and out and then you have your
[13:15] gun. See that? See how much more
[13:18] powerful that is? Practice this in the
[13:20] firing range, please. I promise you,
[13:22] this is going to change your life. Let's
[13:23] say we're fighting this guy, right? Oh,
[13:25] okay. He's playing cover really well.
[13:30] There you go. It doesn't matter how much
[13:32] cover they have. If you have the
[13:33] mobility, you can kill them right away.
[13:34] Now, the next movement technique is the
[13:36] bunny hop, also known as the V hop. And
[13:38] it kind of looks like this.
[13:40] A lot of people are going to call me
[13:41] crazy with this timing here, the jump,
[13:43] crouch, jump, crouch, jump, crouch. This
[13:44] is essentially how I do it, but I want
[13:46] to teach you how to do it a little bit
[13:48] more simple because that's it's really
[13:50] hard to get the timing done. It takes
[13:51] years and years of practice to be able
[13:53] to do it like this. Um, the only reason
[13:56] why I do it like that is because I like
[13:57] to keep my crouch on toggle so that way
[13:59] I can do the wall bounces much easier.
[14:01] So, it's kind of a trade-off cuz I don't
[14:03] do bunny hops that much and I prioritize
[14:05] wall bounce. So, make sure if you just
[14:07] keep your crouch on toggle, that's more
[14:10] for wall bounces. But if you really
[14:11] prioritize bunny hops, I would recommend
[14:14] moving your crouch on hold. And all
[14:17] you're really doing here is you're just
[14:19] running and you're holding your crouch.
[14:21] See the difference there? You don't
[14:22] actually press toggle. And it's going to
[14:23] it's going to it's going to bring your
[14:25] your character back up when you try to
[14:27] when you just press it once. You have to
[14:28] hold your crouch. See that? I'm holding
[14:30] my circle.
[14:33] Now, once you have this, look how
[14:34] insanely easy this is. Watch. You're
[14:36] literally just jump
[14:39] while you're holding crouch. See that?
[14:42] That's literally a bunny hop. Your
[14:44] character is still sprinting while it's
[14:46] able to kind of dodge bullets and kind
[14:49] of get into a fight in a in a really
[14:51] cool flashy way. Now, if you practice
[14:53] the timing on this, you can actually
[14:54] practice shooting as well. It's going to
[14:56] be a little bit more difficult.
[14:59] You practice that well enough and you're
[15:00] going to look like a full-on sweat. See
[15:02] that?
[15:03] It's also great for kind of getting away
[15:05] kind of like a wall bounce. You can use
[15:06] it to kind of attack someone or you can
[15:08] use it to kind of get away from a bad
[15:09] situation. Now, for all other movement
[15:11] techniques, I do recommend going back to
[15:12] your crotch and toggle. And I'll show
[15:14] you why. Because the next powerful
[15:15] movement technique is called the super
[15:17] glide.
[15:19] And this is, you see how far I literally
[15:21] launched off there? It looks like a
[15:22] freaking Octane pad. This movement
[15:25] technique capitalizes on two different
[15:26] things. It capitalizes on the slide and
[15:29] it capitalizes on the jump.
[15:33] Okay, you add those two together and you
[15:36] get a combo that looks like this.
[15:39] You see how powerful that is? Because
[15:41] you're trying you're basically kind of
[15:42] glitching the game into launching you
[15:45] because it's trying to combine two
[15:46] different things and it actually does it
[15:48] successfully. Now, it's really really
[15:49] really hard to do this when you're
[15:51] playing in higher frames. As you can
[15:52] tell here in the top right, I'm playing
[15:53] on two 40 frames cuz this is all frame
[15:56] dependent. Now, so if you're playing on
[15:58] like consoles like um uh you know lower
[16:00] gen consoles, this is really easy
[16:02] because you're playing on just 60
[16:03] frames. So um you the timing is really
[16:06] precise if you're playing in a higher
[16:07] frame rate. So but at the end of the
[16:09] day, it's all practice and you just want
[16:10] to learn how to do the timing right. And
[16:12] I'll teach you that right now. So you
[16:13] want to find something that you can
[16:14] climb and essentially mantle and stand
[16:16] on. Once you find something like this,
[16:19] just climb it. And then you see that
[16:21] little shake that I get. Especially when
[16:23] you look down, you can really tell as
[16:26] soon as I climb something, I get a
[16:27] little shake at the very end. See that?
[16:29] That's a timing that you want to learn
[16:31] because as soon as you get the little
[16:33] shake and as soon as you you feel like
[16:34] your feet are like right here on the
[16:36] edge, you pull off the super glide
[16:39] timing like that. Now, what is the
[16:41] superglide timing? What do you press?
[16:43] You press your jump and crouch at the
[16:44] exact same time. Now, a lot of people
[16:46] are like, "Well, Sonic, the actual way
[16:48] that you're supposed to do it is you're
[16:49] supposed to press your jump first and
[16:50] then crouch literally right after." If
[16:54] you practice doing it like that, you may
[16:56] be able to hit it maybe one in 10 years.
[16:58] The reason why is because the timing is
[17:00] so precise that essentially, yes, jump
[17:03] has to go a little bit further than your
[17:06] than your slide, but if you do it like
[17:08] that, it's it's going to be the
[17:09] difference is so minute that it's not
[17:11] going to matter. You have to if you're
[17:13] playing on controller, I practice
[17:14] pressing at the exact same time and I'm
[17:16] still able to hit it really really well.
[17:18] Okay? Because you can't really change
[17:20] the actuation points. Like certain
[17:21] keyboards can actually change the point
[17:23] of where you can press the button. Like
[17:24] it'll it'll press one a little bit
[17:26] lighter than or or much much faster than
[17:29] the other button. And you can get the
[17:30] timing down perfectly on a keyboard. But
[17:32] if you're playing a controller, you
[17:34] really can't do this. So that's why I
[17:35] recommend pressing your jump and crouch
[17:37] at the exact same time. You're not going
[17:39] to be able to hit it 100% all the time.
[17:41] Training your brain to press it together
[17:43] is going to be the closest that you can
[17:45] get to getting it more successful each
[17:47] time
[17:49] like that. You could kind of use it to
[17:51] push someone. See how you can you can
[17:53] kind of use it to push somebody.
[17:56] No one's going to be able to see how I
[17:58] mean it's literally insane when
[17:59] someone's pushing you and they
[18:00] superglide cuz your their feet are going
[18:03] to be sticking out. You're going to see
[18:04] this like like pro players use it and
[18:06] you're like, "Oh, that guy just
[18:07] superglided on me. Oh, it's it's game
[18:09] over now.
[18:11] See how my my feet were sticking
[18:13] straight up there or my the whole legs.
[18:15] If you're not super gliding, this is
[18:16] what you're going to see. Either that or
[18:20] if you do a slide, you see how I'm just
[18:21] sliding down. Or if I if I just jump,
[18:24] I'm doing this weird jump animation.
[18:26] You're not you're not getting that full
[18:28] the full, you know, legs straight out
[18:30] kind of animation like if you were super
[18:32] gliding. See, that's a fail cuz the the
[18:35] See how I'm just kind of just jump
[18:36] sliding? It's doing it's doing this
[18:38] weird thing. Supergliding will actually
[18:39] get your legs straighten out. Another
[18:41] really advanced technique is a sideways
[18:42] superglide. You see that? It's It's
[18:45] essentially using a side input instead
[18:48] of forward while you're supergliding and
[18:50] you get like an insane mobility. It kind
[18:53] of looks like top strafing. You're
[18:54] playing controller. Like a lot of play
[18:56] like a lot of my friends when I when I
[18:57] play with them and I perform a side
[18:59] super glide, they're like, "Did are you
[19:01] top strafing? Like what the heck are you
[19:02] doing?" Um, but you're not because your
[19:04] body will just move into the direction
[19:06] in which you kind of point it to. And if
[19:08] you point it to the side, it's going to
[19:10] be able to um pull off the sideways
[19:12] superglide. It's a little bit more
[19:13] difficult than the more forward one. So,
[19:15] essentially, it's going to look like
[19:16] this.
[19:18] I mean, it's literally insane. It It
[19:19] looks like I'm getting launched by like
[19:21] some crazy gravitational force. So, you
[19:24] practice this. Just keep practicing the
[19:26] regular superglide and then practice a
[19:27] sideways super glide. I actually have a
[19:29] clip right here that shows how insane
[19:30] the sideways superglide looks,
[19:31] especially if you chain it with other
[19:33] movement techniques like the bunny hop.
[19:35] You can do this on controller, by the
[19:36] way, and it looks insane. It looks like
[19:37] you're a PC player. Now, the next
[19:40] movement technique is called the super
[19:41] jump. And this movement ability is crazy
[19:43] because it's not only flashy, but it's
[19:45] very, very practical.
[19:47] But look at this height that I get. I
[19:50] mean, it's insane. Now, regular zipline
[19:52] jump just looks like this. That guy's
[19:55] not going to be able to I mean, he's
[19:56] going to be able to track you. You're
[19:57] just going ding. That's it.
[20:00] All you're doing here is is just you're
[20:02] just interacting and you're jumping,
[20:03] which is square and X if you're playing
[20:05] on a PlayStation 4 default controller.
[20:07] Now, regular zipline jump is literally
[20:09] just square X, which is going to be
[20:11] interact jump. That's it. If you're
[20:13] playing regular binds, it's literally
[20:15] just interact jump. See that?
[20:17] Perfect. But if you do a zipline super
[20:19] jump, you literally fly across this
[20:22] entire
[20:24] So, the thing is with movement players,
[20:26] we're not really good with uh shooting.
[20:27] That's why, but that's a whole another
[20:30] video. So, you want to make sure with
[20:32] any movement technique, you also want to
[20:33] be able to hit your shots like that.
[20:36] Okay?
[20:38] It's like a it's like a meme in the um
[20:40] rollout community. You know, if you have
[20:41] great movement, probably the aim is
[20:43] probably not there. So, zipline super
[20:45] jump is just essentially you're just
[20:47] zipline jumping, but you're doing
[20:49] something else. Just one more step.
[20:50] Instead of just interacting and jumping,
[20:52] what you're doing is you're interacting
[20:54] and jumping twice. That's all you're
[20:57] doing. You're just pressing interact,
[20:58] jump, jump. That's the the kind of
[21:00] momentum that you want to feel
[21:03] when you're inter when you're zipline.
[21:05] Super jump. That's it. Interact, jump,
[21:07] jump interact jump jump interact
[21:10] jump, jump. Bam. So, compared to the
[21:12] Superglide, that one is frame dependent,
[21:14] which is makes it much more difficult
[21:15] than this because this one is just
[21:16] timing dependent. So, if you just learn
[21:18] how to do the timing right, you
[21:20] essentially can just do this 100% of the
[21:22] time without failure, making this one of
[21:25] the the easiest movement techniques that
[21:27] you can learn today and master and then
[21:30] implement this in your fights. So,
[21:32] imagine you have like a like a shotgun.
[21:33] Shotguns were probably going to be the
[21:34] most useful weapons. And you just you
[21:37] kind of just do like like that. You just
[21:39] kind of go up and you could kind of do
[21:41] this like bounce. It's like a bouncy
[21:42] house almost kind of thing. See how cool
[21:44] that is? As soon as you hit the ground.
[21:48] Now, the thing is is that you're like,
[21:49] "Sonic, what if you do it on another
[21:51] zipline?" Not just um a horizontal. What
[21:53] if you do it on a vertical zipline like
[21:54] this? So, in order for you to do it like
[21:57] this, let me show you the difference,
[21:58] right? This one launches you up.
[22:01] This one launches you forward.
[22:05] See how insane that is? See how much
[22:07] more distance I can gain versus a
[22:10] regular jump. Zip plane jump. Look at
[22:12] that. You You land right here. I'll mark
[22:16] that.
[22:16] >> Dropping my mark.
[22:17] >> Champion of Justice.
[22:19] >> I like that. I like that.
[22:22] Versus this.
[22:24] I mean, that's guys, that's a 50%
[22:28] marginal difference versus the one that
[22:30] I landed here. It's just I'm I I I'm I'm
[22:34] at a loss of words. You have to learn
[22:36] this movement technique. You have to. I
[22:38] I promise this is going to change your
[22:39] life. Now, really cool trick is that
[22:41] even if you have a vertical zipline like
[22:43] this, you can actually still like
[22:45] pretend to kind of go up instead of
[22:47] going forward by putting your stick
[22:49] backwards. You see how I'm like I'm
[22:51] putting my stick backwards there. And
[22:52] I'm just kind of going up. I'm still
[22:54] going forward, but I'm still kind of
[22:56] retaining just height instead of going
[22:57] forward. The reason why this is really
[22:59] important instead of just doing that is
[23:01] that you can you can chain a movement
[23:03] techniques like this. You see that? So,
[23:06] you're essentially hitting your zipline
[23:08] super jump on top of a regular zipline
[23:11] jump itself.
[23:13] And that's sort of how proven players
[23:15] kind of move around the map looking
[23:16] super flashy, looking super super cool.
[23:18] So, just practice that and you'll be
[23:19] able to do that in no time. Now, the
[23:22] reason why I talked about the super jump
[23:23] before this last movement technique is
[23:25] because you have to master the super
[23:26] jump first in order for you to do this
[23:28] last movement technique, which is called
[23:30] the mantle jump. This one is really
[23:33] really really really insane. I mean,
[23:34] it's it's it's so cool because you can
[23:37] get into crazy height much much faster
[23:40] than you normally would if you just did
[23:42] like a regular, you know, you you go up
[23:44] here, you do this, you try to you climb
[23:46] these stairs up here, bam. I mean, it's
[23:49] going to take years, right? So, if you
[23:50] learn how to do the super jump first,
[23:52] this is going to teach you and train you
[23:54] how to do this technique called the
[23:55] mantle jump. Now, the mantle jump is is
[23:57] is probably one of the most difficult
[24:00] movement techniques, but if you get the
[24:01] timing down, I it's going to be one of
[24:03] the best movement techniques you're
[24:04] going to learn in Apex Legends. I
[24:06] promise you that there's two essential
[24:07] ways that you can do the mental jump.
[24:08] You could do the baby version, which is
[24:10] kind of like the the slower version, but
[24:12] it's it guarantees 100% success rate
[24:14] every time you do it like this. It's a
[24:16] little bit more slow and a little bit
[24:17] more riskier to do. Now, in order to do
[24:19] this like simpler baby version, you're
[24:20] just going to first kind of find a
[24:22] mantle that looks like this. And you're
[24:24] going to find a little ledge that you
[24:25] can mantle off of. As soon as you jump
[24:27] off of the the zipline, you're going to
[24:29] be able to get in this position where
[24:30] you're kind of grabbing onto this
[24:31] mantle. Um, and then you're just going
[24:33] to be on this like little hanging pose.
[24:35] Once you're able to be in this position,
[24:38] all you're going to do is you're just
[24:39] going to simply stand forward. You're
[24:41] going to look directly above you. And
[24:43] you see how it says press square or
[24:45] interact to ride the zipline. This is
[24:48] when you pull off the super jump that we
[24:50] talked about earlier.
[24:52] And bam. Right. A little bit faster.
[24:55] Will look like this.
[24:58] Right. Not too bad. Not too bad.
[25:02] A little bit faster. Now, okay. And and
[25:05] a lot of players are have much higher
[25:07] sensitivities showing like showing you
[25:10] exactly how much faster you can really
[25:11] get with that. Now, that's that's a baby
[25:13] version. You can you can essentially do
[25:14] this 100% of the time without failure.
[25:16] But do you see the reason why it's a
[25:18] little bit more risky? Cuz I'm having to
[25:20] stand here. That little split second
[25:21] standing here, this guy can can
[25:23] absolutely decimate you because you're
[25:25] you're going to be like looking above
[25:27] you, right? See that? You're not going
[25:30] to be able to look at him. You have to
[25:31] look above you, right? But still, it's a
[25:34] really great one to master. The second
[25:37] more difficult way is you're going to
[25:39] interact to the zip and then you're
[25:40] going to be in this mantle position.
[25:42] Instead of moving forward, you're going
[25:43] to move backward. And while you're
[25:45] moving backward, you're going to hit
[25:47] your super jump as soon as you hit your
[25:50] backwards button. So, I can't even do
[25:52] that slow-mo. That's how difficult that
[25:54] is.
[25:56] Yeah, that this one is really, really,
[25:57] really difficult. And the timing for
[25:59] this is more precise, but I just did it
[26:00] right there. So, I want you to kind of
[26:03] rewind that clip what exactly what I
[26:04] did. Um cuz what I did was I just
[26:07] interact. I hit I hit this little climb
[26:09] animation and as soon as I did, I backed
[26:11] up and then I just zipline super jump
[26:13] and doing all those steps. It's like 15
[26:15] different 20 different steps all
[26:17] combined and it kind of gets that little
[26:18] nice graceful arc and then you're going
[26:20] to land over here. But you see the
[26:22] difference here. I'm not exposing my
[26:23] body compared to the other one where I
[26:25] actually have to stand in this position.
[26:27] This one I literally just I'm in I'm I'm
[26:30] kind of just exposing my head. That's
[26:32] the only thing that exposed and then I
[26:35] can pull off the um the mantle jump.
[26:38] See, it's really really difficult. And
[26:39] if you fail, you're going to do
[26:40] something like that where you're going
[26:41] to kind of bounce upwards. But just keep
[26:44] practicing and then rewind that section,
[26:46] especially the one that I just hit like
[26:47] that. Oh, perfect. You don't have to
[26:49] rewind. You can watch watch that one.
[26:50] So, the zipline mantle jump, that's a
[26:54] really advanced movement technique, but
[26:55] you can really really get the hang of
[26:56] that if you practice it in this area of
[26:58] the firing range right here.
[27:02] See that? See how cool that is? So, you
[27:04] can even do it from this little tight
[27:06] area right here. There's a lot of spots
[27:07] in the map.
[27:10] See that? I mean, it's so powerful. It's
[27:13] so powerful to be able to use that in
[27:14] fights. And even if you fail the mental
[27:16] jump, it's fine because you can actually
[27:17] recover really, really easily by doing
[27:19] something like this. So, you just kind
[27:22] of tap the interact again cuz it'll
[27:24] launch you upwards. You tap your
[27:26] interact again and you'll still launch
[27:27] forward. It doesn't matter. So, um, like
[27:30] I said, all this game is about practice.
[27:31] So practice practice practice.
[27:33] Movement is a whole school of thought.
[27:35] And then there's aim, and then there's
[27:36] game sensor. There's so many different
[27:38] little facets of this game that you can
