This Streamer Caused Riots in New York

[00:33] this to thisat was going to do a giveaway he announced it on his Instagram feed um and look at this it's basically become they're on top of cars yeah this is let's go back to 9 years ago in 2015 Kai began posting skits on

[00:48] Facebook that quickly gained traction his videos steadily grew in popularity and he soon had a few th000 views on each post as his following continued to increase his confidence did too he was determined to to create content that was

[01:01] off when his fans demanded for his YouTube channel in 2018 Kai uploaded his first ever video on YouTube introducing himself to the world welcome to my

[01:13] YouTube channel this was only a start of something bigger he started uploading multiple videos per week covering topics such as skits pranks Vlogs and reactions which allowed him to grow faster than ever before Kai's life took an exciting

[01:27] new turn when he started collaborating with Phantom a well-known member of am his passion for making videos was noticed and he soon found himself appearing regularly in the Channel's videos Phantom eventually asked him to

[01:39] join the am which was a major milestone in his journey vom came to me and was like I'm in a group called and I'm tired to tell them about you and I was got on on the channel and see like you interested Kai reached a Tipping Point

[01:52] in his career when he signed with am his Fame skyrocketed as he began to make Fame kept growing there was no stopping him some viewers knew who I was some people didn't but um they was like who is this like what the heck who's this

[02:06] and then like I like slowly started getting there like you feel me like now it's like the support is crazy like he started streaming on Twitch in February 2021 as a way to connect with his audience more directly but he was still

[02:19] in college and all that led to Kai getting busier with content creation and he had a tough time balancing his studies while enjoying the fame and support of his fans but he chose to listened to his heart and followed his

[02:31] passion for creating content and making viewers laugh and enjoy with him he just knew he had in him after dropping out of college he decided to focus more on creating content as he was already making more money than he could after

[02:45] making more money than he could after college oh my God oh my God I'm losing my mind oh my God 100 Subs note that each sub is at

[02:57] least $4.99 a month oh my God got I'm rich but it wasn't all smooth as Kai got strange reasons even though he's renounced for featuring famous celebrities like ice spice Nicki Minaj or Lil Baby on his stream given his

[03:12] ability to attract significant Revenue to the platform You Must Be Wondering Why would twitch ban a streamer of his caliber but the rumor was that the ban was strategically timed to coincide with Kai's transition to a new streaming

[03:26] platform called Kick however the actual reason they said was for the dissemination of explicit content a clear violation of twitch's community guidelines while it was initially a temporary suspension the ban didn't last

[03:39] long with the support of his fans and Community he got unbanned in less than a Community he got unbanned in less than a week switch partner CN has been unbanned after 3 Days 7 minutes and 31 seconds man just hit

[03:51] man just hit Twitter yep oh this was actually the still holds the title for most successful Street streamer ever but all this was shadowed when Kai did subathon on February 1st streaming non-stop for

[04:05] 24 hours a day we saw Kai reacting played games interviewed guests and even streamed himself sleeping where he made over $23,000 a month from just sleep streams in March 2023 he became the record holder for most subscribers on

[04:21] Twitch surpassing Ludwig's prior record and now here's the few celebrations he did surpassing the twitch Subs milestones we it we milestones we it we it 60k bro oh my

[05:12] but just few months later he got into serious trouble as on August 4th 2023 Kai made News Headlines by announcing a giveaway of PlayStation 5 consoles and gift cards in the Union Square Manhattan New York the event intended as a

[05:27] generous gesture took an unexpected turn when thousands of Kai's followers showed up leading to chaos and eventually a riot by 1:30 in the noon there were about 300 fans in Union Square but the crowd grew fast really fast and soon

[05:42] approximately 6,000 fans showed up in Union Square and began behaving erratically darting through traffic climbing onto taxis and car hoods and scaling lamp posts and traffic signs some overturned trash cans or hurled

[05:55] objects at police officers While others set off firecrackers causing panic and prompting crowds to scatter I don't condone any of the things that went on that Friday in a destructive manner that is not cool you're not cool for doing

[06:09] do it bro the New York City Police Department responded by deploying additional forces to manage the situation as the crowd surged towards a Best Buy and other local businesses subsequently Kai was arrested by the

[06:22] subsequently Kai was arrested by the NYPD for allegedly inciting civil unrest with 65 others also being arrested he was later for Ally charged with first-degree rioting inciting a riot and unlawful assembly he was eventually

[06:34] released from police custody but that experience left him feeling really disappointed in his fans as it not only hurt him but it also undermined the values he works hard to uphold he realized how much power and influence he

[06:47] have on people but after Friday bro I've come to realize the amount of not only power but influence that I have on people he then later stated how disappointed he actually is in this following clip Beyond bro Beyond

[07:00] disappointed in anybody who became destructive that day bro 100% bro that is not cool my none of that is cool bro you feel what I'm saying I after the things that I've seen I'm beyond disappointed in the things that went on

[07:15] on Friday that day at least nine people were injured including three officers according to the NYPD and Kai became the first twitch streamer to be charged with inciting a riot even though it caused too much trouble to Kai he pledged to

[07:28] never let this ever happen again next time you want to do any of these things people make the right calls be able to hit up the right people make the right calls and do it the correct way because as a whole bro we all have to do it we
