[00:21] anime that didn't get the spotlight that

[00:29] in anime where the main protagonist only

[00:32] wants to have a normal peaceful life

[00:34] unfortunately he is cursed with having

[00:36] the greatest secret art of ninjas within

[00:39] him

[00:40] as a result he is the central target for

[00:42] both people who want to use it for bad

[00:44] or destroy him entirely before it's used

[00:46] incorrectly

[00:48] the strong point of this series is the

[00:49] complex character relationships as the

[00:52] story progresses

[00:53] it does have some great fights although

[00:55] it's not as action-packed as it could be

[01:09] an rpg game

[01:11] animated there is a leveling up system

[01:13] and a reward system which applies to

[01:15] both the good and bad guys

[01:18] it's set in a world where both humans

[01:20] and demons exist

[01:21] and the main protagonists are on a quest

[01:23] to cleanse the world and take revenge

[01:25] for the death of his brother

[01:27] a legendary hunter the concept is

[01:29] relatively straightforward and simple

[01:31] with a clear good versus bad scenario

[01:34] you party up level up gain skills get

[01:37] money

[01:38] and progress in your adventure overall a

[01:41] fun show to watch

[01:53] it is packed with plenty of action as

[01:55] well

[01:56] it definitely has some epic moments and

[01:58] powerful characters

[01:59] the story revolves around a powerful

[02:01] first-year student attending a school

[02:03] for juvenile delinquents

[02:05] unlike other protagonists he is strong

[02:08] from the start

[02:09] far tougher than your average high

[02:10] school student the main plot is that he

[02:13] has chosen to raise the baby of the

[02:14] great demon king

[02:16] and the more evil strong and arrogant

[02:18] the person is

[02:19] the better suited he is to becoming the

[02:21] official individual to raise the future

[02:23] demon king

[02:25] overall a great comedy and action-packed

[02:27] anime with a strong set of characters

[02:43] the plot revolves around two families

[02:45] that have protected one piece of land

[02:47] for generations from demons

[02:49] this land is filled with magic

[02:51] attracting many demons

[02:53] and it also happens to be where their

[02:54] school is located and so the main

[02:56] characters fight

[02:57] every night to protect this land from

[02:59] demons the story resembles both naruto

[03:02] and bleach however it has its own unique

[03:05] power system

[03:06] mysteries and relationships the

[03:09] characters are all equally interesting

[03:11] with both mysterious family members and

[03:13] rivalries

[03:15] we have the typical girl boy trio

[03:17] however unlike mainstream anime

[03:19] all three are equally developed with

[03:21] their own unique abilities that are

[03:22] powerful

[03:24] the animation of the fights was

[03:25] surprisingly great for an underrated

[03:27] show of that time

[03:29] more importantly the fights are well

[03:31] paced and not dragged for too long

[03:33] which makes them all the more exciting

[03:35] to watch

[03:51] one of my favorite aspects of this anime

[03:53] is the old school

[03:54] feel it gives a straightforward story of

[03:57] demons

[03:58] and a boy destined to save humanity

[04:01] the main characters are a 15 year old

[04:03] boy and a powerful demon

[04:05] both sharing a complex relationship this

[04:08] demon partner is often found saving the

[04:10] main character

[04:11] but that's because he wants to be the

[04:12] one to devour the main character one day

[04:15] however this complex relationship later

[04:18] transitions into loyalty

[04:20] and it's interesting to watch how their

[04:21] friendship evolves over time

[04:24] while the story can take some time to

[04:26] get used to as it is episodic in nature

[04:28] the story does pick up and reveal the

[04:30] true purpose of the beast spear

[04:49] if you are looking for epic battles and

[04:51] intense rivalries with a main

[04:53] protagonist that starts off super weak

[04:55] then this is the show for you this anime

[04:58] focuses on martial arts taken to the

[05:00] extremes

[05:02] the main character is terribly weak

[05:04] lacks confidence in his own abilities

[05:06] but never stops doing the right thing

[05:09] he has no talent or any special

[05:11] abilities but he was lucky in finding a

[05:13] group of world-class

[05:14] martial artists as his teachers as the

[05:17] anime progresses it transitions from

[05:19] fights at the high school level to far

[05:21] greater threats apart from action there

[05:24] is plenty of comedy

[05:25] which is equally great making it a great

[05:28] action comedy overall

[05:43] blue exorcist is about a boy who

[05:45] recently discovers he is the son of

[05:47] satan

[05:48] but in a very painful way and so he

[05:51] becomes an exorcist

[05:53] while hiding his true lineage to take

[05:55] revenge and kill satan

[05:57] there are two worlds here one inhabited

[06:00] by humans

[06:01] and the other by demons and demons can

[06:03] enter the human realm

[06:04] by possessions however satan is too

[06:07] powerful for any normal human to be a

[06:09] host which ends up with rin

[06:11] becoming caught up in the middle of both

[06:13] satan who wants to take over his body

[06:16] and fellow exorcists who are cautious of

[06:18] rin himself

[06:19] a potential risk to humanity

[06:31] dee grayman is one of the few anime that

[06:34] manages to give

[06:35] consistently good fight animations

[06:37] throughout the 100 episodes

[06:40] visually it has a much darker tone as

[06:42] opposed to the others on this list

[06:44] the early parts of this story progress

[06:46] in an episodic manner

[06:48] with many two to three episode arcs each

[06:50] focused on different characters

[06:52] which may not be to everyone's liking

[06:54] but the benefit of this

[06:55] is the detailed development of the

[06:57] characters we get each with their own

[06:59] unique past and

[07:01] the animation details and character

[07:03] design and background make it all so

[07:05] visually pleasing to watch

[07:07] the highlight of this show would be the

[07:09] action scenes and if that's what you

[07:10] enjoy the most

[07:11] then this is definitely for you

[07:29] introducing the world

[07:31] concept and the characters before

[07:33] getting to the main story of fighting

[07:35] against invading enemies from other

[07:37] dimensions

[07:38] the main character is extremely weak but

[07:41] unlike others on the list

[07:42] he doesn't get strong fast or even

[07:45] talented at anything

[07:47] he is well aware of his weaknesses and

[07:49] also smart enough to use his limited

[07:51] ability

[07:51] and powerful friends to prevail in many

[07:54] situations

[07:55] often in anime the main character has a

[07:57] big role in the important fights

[07:59] putting them in the spotlight however

[08:02] that is not the case here

[08:03] he doesn't preach to the enemies and

[08:05] doesn't win via willpower

[08:07] he wins the battles he deserves to win

[08:10] and the ones he can't handle are dealt

[08:11] with by other stronger characters

[08:14] finally the power system is also very

[08:16] interesting

[08:17] as no one character has a unique ability

[08:20] they all share the same system but still

[08:23] allows for creativity in the use of

[08:24] powers

[08:25] preventing any one character to have

[08:27] ridiculous op traits

[08:29] if you can be patient to get over the

[08:31] initial slow phase

[08:32] this is a fantastic show to watch and

[08:35] best of all

[08:36] a season 2 is coming out in 2021

[08:47] the biggest reason for this anime's

[08:49] downfall was the initial 20 episodes

[08:51] that have no

[08:52] real plot but still play a role in

[08:54] introducing the characters

[08:57] otherwise this is a great anime with a

[08:59] unique setting of a mafia related story

[09:01] and the conflict with other mafia

[09:03] organizations

[09:05] the story follows a weak protagonist

[09:07] waking up one day to find out how he is

[09:09] to become the next head of one of the

[09:11] most powerful mafia organizations

[09:13] in existence he encounters various

[09:16] enemies throughout the story developing

[09:18] interesting powers as well as gathering

[09:20] and strengthening his own mafia family

[09:22] members

[09:23] the action scenes are also interesting

[09:25] with a wide variety of fight styles

[09:27] and power levels overall a great show

[09:30] that shouldn't be judged by the first 20

[09:34] episodes
