[00:04] hey guys what's going on it's Kodiak

[00:06] here and we have a very special top 10

[00:08] for you guys today today we are going to

[00:10] be covering the top 10 add-ons every

[00:12] Wild player needs to know and I say we

[00:15] because we have a very special guest

[00:16] with us today my man Republic yeah my

[00:19] name is Republic uh I'm one of the

[00:21] officers in exiled power and looking

[00:23] forward to go over and going over some

[00:24] of these add-ons with you all right Sean

[00:26] so kick us off what's number 10 all

[00:28] right so number 10 mostly in worlds of

[00:30] dra War I focused on being the healing

[00:32] officer and that kind of thing so the

[00:33] first thing we're going to cover is

[00:36] healbot and those kinds of things so

[00:38] there's kind of a plethora of these

[00:39] right now um we got healbot we have

[00:42] Voodoo with grid there's also stuff like

[00:44] click so in general just to keep healers

[00:47] sane and making it easier than the

[00:49] default raid frames um I highly suggest

[00:52] using one of these guys I know lvi kind

[00:54] of has some of this stuff in there too

[00:56] but um it's just kind of a personal

[00:58] preference every healer should be

[00:59] running something other than the default

[01:01] raid

[01:02] frames and what do you think why why is

[01:04] this such an advantage for players to be

[01:06] using something like this yeah I mean

[01:08] you kind of get more customization you

[01:09] get more feel of it um so like with the

[01:11] default raid frames like position can be

[01:13] kind of weird and things like that so

[01:15] using these custom solutions kind of

[01:17] gives you like a a tailor made raid

[01:19] experience it's not like super crucial

[01:21] that's why it's kind of starting off our

[01:23] list you know but um it's definitely

[01:24] something that'll help you become a

[01:26] better player by using it effectively I

[01:28] think and so if you're on the fence say

[01:29] if you're looking for the the most basic

[01:31] introductory on say You're A Healer that

[01:33] you want just a little bit better which

[01:35] which one would you go with um so again

[01:37] it's all kind of personal preference um

[01:39] kind of thing so I started out using

[01:41] healbot I've used healbot since like uh

[01:44] I first started healing and like burning

[01:46] Crusade you know so it's like the the UI

[01:49] and the graphic elements haven't changed

[01:50] like at all so it's very simple very

[01:52] easy to use um you can get pretty heavy

[01:54] with it so personally I would say start

[01:56] off with healbot um with that being said

[01:58] though grid offers a lot of very

[02:00] simplistic tools as well um Voodoo is

[02:03] kind of giving you a best of the best

[02:05] worlds it's kind of in the Middle with

[02:06] those guys um but honestly like they're

[02:09] all going to give you the same

[02:10] functionality and things like that so

[02:12] I'd say pick one that suits you the best

[02:14] or think that you can get the most help

[02:16] on for example so like if you have

[02:18] another healer in your team that also

[02:19] use healbot maybe go to that one or if

[02:22] your team all uses Voodoo go to f one

[02:24] because they can actually help you

[02:26] configure it and mess around with it so

[02:28] awesome all right number nine iscar

[02:31] assist thogar assist any of these assist

[02:34] add-ons um this is kind of a cool one

[02:36] guys because what we're basically saying

[02:38] is there's a plethora of resources out

[02:40] there for you guys to look at um iscar

[02:43] for anybody that knows me anybody in

[02:44] Exile power knows me I hate that boss I

[02:47] think it's a terrible boss yeah it's a

[02:49] terrible boss and what the community did

[02:52] was they created uh an add-on and

[02:54] basically a small little module that

[02:56] said hey let's let's help our Raiders

[02:58] Let's Help the whole Community um um

[03:00] beat this boss and so what we're saying

[03:02] is be on the lookout for these really

[03:04] awesome small package add-ons that are

[03:07] going to help you defeat bosses that are

[03:08] tough um we said iscar already thogar

[03:11] had another one Hans and Fran had

[03:13] another one and they're all very simple

[03:15] things that are just going to give you

[03:17] the edge and that is so important in a

[03:19] raid environment guys you want the edge

[03:22] yeah and like I can't read I mean like

[03:24] these have been around for a long time

[03:26] right we had weak ores all that kind of

[03:28] stuff before this is just kind of a more

[03:30] packaged version um let's say you have a

[03:32] Raider on your team that's like I don't

[03:34] like using weak Wars it's not my thing

[03:36] I'd rather not um using these add-ons

[03:39] instead sometimes simplifies that

[03:41] experience a little bit um so it kind of

[03:43] helps you get that next step up even if

[03:45] your raid team isn't quite on the weak

[03:47] Ora hype train so to speak because I

[03:50] mean you'll see some weak Ora encounter

[03:52] specific ones as well so kind of look

[03:54] for those two but we just wanted to call

[03:55] out these because they have been popping

[03:57] up without wad so probably the same will

[04:00] happen in Legion as well so

[04:02] absolutely all right so the next thing

[04:04] we're coming is number eight this is

[04:07] quarts this is one of my personal

[04:09] favorite add-ons I've used this for

[04:10] quite some time um and again this is

[04:13] another one of those components that's

[04:14] part of Lui and similar UI packages but

[04:17] if you're one of those people that kind

[04:19] of like to take a bigger customization

[04:21] role in your UI like me uh quartz is

[04:24] something you need to have um this

[04:27] replaces your default casting bar so um

[04:30] instead of just giving you just a normal

[04:32] bar that goes from Left Right with

[04:34] quarts you can track uh track your lag

[04:36] timing stuff like that you can track

[04:38] your Global coold down as well which is

[04:39] really helpful on like Melee classes and

[04:41] things like that where it's like um you

[04:43] don't want to get too far ahead of

[04:44] yourself pressing buttons before gcd

[04:46] comes back off so something like quz is

[04:49] really easy to set up um for your

[04:51] personal uh casting bar something else

[04:54] that a lot of people don't take

[04:55] advantage of with their casting bar is

[04:57] like okay I'm focused on my account

[04:59] casting bar and where it is what it

[05:01] looks like that's great something else

[05:03] that quartz does it lets you control

[05:05] other casting bars around you um

[05:08] including your target your focus your

[05:10] pet anything like that as well the best

[05:13] part of that is they actually have a

[05:15] special module in there that will track

[05:17] any Targets around you so let's say

[05:19] you're doing aramon for example and

[05:22] there's a specific ad that you need to

[05:23] interrupt but you don't even know that

[05:25] it's out to see that it's interruptable

[05:27] quartz actually gives you a cast bar

[05:30] that you can display of all ads around

[05:32] you that have interruptible casts so

[05:34] it's like easy to pick and choose like

[05:35] oh something need interrupt is happening

[05:37] right now even if you're not targeting

[05:39] that mob so that's so cool I didn't even

[05:42] know that existed yeah yeah so there you

[05:43] go learning something new every day

[05:45] there you go and that's cool so I mean

[05:47] Sean the the two that you've talked

[05:48] about healbot Voodoo grid and then

[05:50] quartz now um they're for the players

[05:52] that may not have played around with

[05:54] their UI too much and now what we're

[05:56] basically trying to tell you guys is

[05:59] that you don't know these great tools

[06:00] are out there until you try them for

[06:03] sure you know and they're so easy

[06:05] they're so easy to set up especially

[06:06] courts especially you know the grid and

[06:08] whatnot a lot of this stuff comes right

[06:10] out of the box ready to go um and you

[06:12] guys do not understand how valuable it

[06:15] is to play until you have it yep it's

[06:17] and yeah like I said and it's really

[06:18] easy to go to like curse.com their

[06:20] add-ons page to World of Warcraft

[06:22] there's new stuff there going all the

[06:23] time lots of updates just go check stuff

[06:25] out see what Pops to you and try it out

[06:28] um I know if you're on Windows it's

[06:29] pretty easy to install add-ons the their

[06:31] curse client they have um if you're

[06:33] rating on a Mac I'm sorry first of all

[06:35] cuz it's not very updated and things

[06:38] like that but um you can use all these

[06:40] add-ons with Mac as well it's just you

[06:42] kind of have to do a download drag and

[06:44] drop put it in your add-ons folder kind

[06:46] of thing but um yeah there's lots of

[06:48] things out there guys nice all right

[06:50] number seven Scot in parenthesis not

[06:54] recount and Sean's going to talk about

[06:56] that because I don't have as much hatred

[06:57] for recount but I will talk about SC

[06:59] we'll talk about Scotta so so as a raid

[07:01] leader Sean and I are constantly um

[07:03] we're constantly talking with each other

[07:05] we're constantly looking at numbers um

[07:07] and in one of our other videos You'll

[07:08] see as in our top 10 tools you'll see

[07:10] that we're talking a lot about logs and

[07:12] um what that information can give you as

[07:14] a Raider and as a raid leader or whatnot

[07:16] but when I want a snapshot of what's

[07:18] going on when I want to be in game I

[07:20] don't want to pull my head away I need

[07:21] to see what's going on very quickly and

[07:24] I need a quick breakdown of it I'm going

[07:25] to Scotta so for you guys who don't know

[07:27] Scot is a damage meter healing meter it

[07:30] tracks a lot of different aspects of the

[07:32] game um and it does a really good job of

[07:34] doing that but that is an essential tool

[07:38] as long as you're looking at it from a

[07:40] purely subjective and objective

[07:43] standpoint you're looking at it saying

[07:44] okay I want to know how much damage this

[07:46] person is dealing I want to know how

[07:47] much healing this person is doing that

[07:49] is not the end all Beall I want you guys

[07:51] to get that through your heads that is

[07:53] not the end all be all and you'll find a

[07:55] lot of people out there that say I'm

[07:56] doing this much damage I'm so much

[07:58] better than you because all I'm doing is

[08:00] damage or I'm all I'm doing is healing

[08:02] that is not the case and you will see a

[08:04] lot of the professionals a lot of the

[08:06] the top tier guys will say that is

[08:08] totally

[08:10] right no for sure it's like

[08:12] it's it's not numbers that kill a boss

[08:14] at the end of the day it's how you

[08:15] handle the mechanics numbers should be

[08:18] like the easiest part of a boss is being

[08:20] able to pull numbers right that's just

[08:21] an afterthought that's a guaranteed if

[08:23] you're a Mythic Raider or any Raider you

[08:25] know it's like the the the way you kill

[08:27] a boss is to handle mechanics properly

[08:29] not pull numbers so these aren't again

[08:32] the this is what you look at to see

[08:33] who's doing well and who's not doing

[08:35] well it can kind of guide in where

[08:37] improvements can be it's kind of similar

[08:39] with like logging stuff um and the

[08:41] reason why we kind of say let's use

[08:43] Scotta and probably not the other

[08:46] options um with my personal experience

[08:48] with uh you know not only like helping

[08:51] leader raid but also participate in

[08:53] raids recount has seen terrible drop

[08:56] offs and updates and lots of bugs with

[08:58] their

[08:59] algorithms and where they pull their

[09:01] data Scot is just typically better

[09:03] updated better handled it looks better

[09:06] in my opinion and the coolest thing that

[09:08] I like about Scott is you can actually

[09:09] have multiple windows so as like a a

[09:11] healing officer I like to look at the

[09:13] healing meters and the Damage meters so

[09:15] with Scot you can have separate Windows

[09:17] you can also track things like

[09:18] interrupts all that good stuff so I

[09:20] think it's better to start with scata I

[09:22] think you'll just get better results out

[09:23] of it um I know like I think it was like

[09:26] Panda's uh expansion there was like a

[09:28] huge bug with recount that like screwed

[09:30] everything up um and that's when I kind

[09:32] of started switching over so I suggest

[09:34] you do the same if you're currently

[09:35] using recount it's just generally a

[09:37] better uh solution in my opinion so and

[09:40] like they said they track a lot of

[09:42] really cool stuff more than just damage

[09:43] and healing um once you you know install

[09:46] it throw it in a corner and just play

[09:48] around with it a little bit see what you

[09:49] like to track um obviously the two big

[09:51] ones are damage done and healing done

[09:53] but there's like Sean said there's

[09:55] interrupts there's mitigation uh modules

[09:59] spells a lot of really good tools and if

[10:01] you break it down even further you can

[10:02] click on things and you can really see a

[10:04] full breakdown of what's going on and

[10:06] that's a really great snapshots a really

[10:07] great tool and add-on to have in the

[10:09] game yep and again we want to reiterate

[10:12] that nothing is going to be perfect so

[10:14] the way that these uh programs all work

[10:16] is all kind of it's a little different

[10:17] and how they calculate things so it is

[10:20] completely normal for any like Scot we

[10:23] or you know what whatever uh meters that

[10:26] you're using in game they are going to

[10:28] show different results than logging does

[10:31] it it just happens um there's some you

[10:34] know range issues that the log can see

[10:37] but Scotta can't see so kind of keep

[10:39] that in mind when you're looking at this

[10:40] it's not 100% accurate all the time but

[10:43] it gives you a really good picture of

[10:45] where you're sitting um and where your

[10:46] rate is sitting as a whole

[10:49] so all right so we're going to go ahead

[10:51] and move into art number six this is lvi

[10:55] and similar UI components so as a Raider

[10:59] we've kind of started touching along

[11:01] this a little bit we're going to hit it

[11:02] pretty hard right now um the default UI

[11:05] is generally speaking not very good for

[11:08] a rating scenario in most players

[11:11] opinion you can play with the default UI

[11:13] if you like it's totally your choice in

[11:15] a lot of players Minds customizing your

[11:17] UI lets you see more of the raid um the

[11:21] the default UI can kind of clutter up

[11:23] your screen a little bit so using Lui or

[11:26] like dominoes bartender this kind of

[11:28] stuff to move your s around gets you a

[11:30] better picture of the raid encounter

[11:33] this is going to be a really really

[11:34] crucial part in Legion 2 because they're

[11:36] actually if you haven't seen it yet

[11:38] they're reducing the max camera distance

[11:40] in

[11:41] Legion which mean yeah which means

[11:44] you'll be closer to your character than

[11:45] you are right now in wad um so what that

[11:48] really means is you need to really

[11:50] conserve space because you'll be closer

[11:53] more clutter around you that kind of

[11:54] thing especially if you're a melee um

[11:56] you just kind of get the Clutter away so

[11:58] you can actually see like the ads are on

[11:59] the boss and different mechanics and

[12:01] stuff like that so using lvi using

[12:04] dominoes can help you generally speaking

[12:06] people like to Center their UI so you

[12:08] can actually see like um you're always

[12:10] looking at the center of your screen as

[12:12] opposed to oh my bar is down here at the

[12:14] bottom left of my screen so I'm going

[12:16] look at that while I'm doing my rotation

[12:17] but oh there's a mechanic way off over

[12:19] here that I missed because I was staring

[12:21] at the wrong part of my screen right and

[12:24] it's the control it's the control that's

[12:26] that most Mythic Raiders and even heroic

[12:28] Raiders normal pvpers we want the

[12:30] control of um what we're seeing and what

[12:32] we're doing and one of the things that

[12:33] you may you guys may not you know consci

[12:36] consciously think about is that there's

[12:37] a lot of artwork that clutters up your

[12:40] screen just in the the default UI and

[12:42] blizzard has done an okay job of

[12:44] tweaking over the years um but there's

[12:46] still a lot of stuff on your screen and

[12:48] what lvi does and for those of you who

[12:50] don't know lvi is ready to go right out

[12:52] of the box it gives you a nice little

[12:54] startup wizard you click a few buttons

[12:56] and boom you are Off to the Races but

[12:58] what it allows you to do is it really

[13:00] allows you to get full control over your

[13:02] screen and like Sean was saying you can

[13:04] move things to the center you can move

[13:05] things off to the side you can get rid

[13:07] of a lot of elements um and that's

[13:09] really really really important

[13:11] especially if you want that kind of full

[13:13] screen look you want to be able to see

[13:15] your Corners you want to be able to see

[13:16] your quote unquote peripherals in game

[13:19] um most of us use it I think lvi is one

[13:21] of the best ones out there but if you

[13:23] want um different kinds of controls you

[13:26] know do Sean said Domino's bartender I

[13:28] don't even know what updated anymore

[13:29] yeah shout out unit frames is another

[13:31] one sexy map is one that's pretty

[13:32] popular I think at the end of the day no

[13:34] matter what you do the best piece of

[13:36] advice that Cody and I can give you

[13:38] because this has happened several times

[13:41] within our team usually right before

[13:42] raid starts back up your add-ons we're

[13:46] going to say this a couple more times

[13:47] before that we're done here but like you

[13:50] can go to your add-ons folder go to your

[13:52] you want to copy your add-ons WTF

[13:54] interface just copy it all and back it

[13:56] up somewhere because if UI decides it

[13:59] wants to explode for some reason or

[14:01] let's say you even switch computers for

[14:03] whatever reason you want to have a copy

[14:05] of that so you don't have to spend you

[14:07] know the time to recreate it how you

[14:09] configured it um very very important

[14:12] piece before you start you know mixing

[14:14] this up oh yeah and I'm guilty guilty as

[14:16] charged there's been multiple night

[14:17] where I log on I say well guys I can't

[14:19] raid because everything blew up yeah

[14:21] give me like right 30 minutes to figure

[14:23] out what happened and then you're

[14:24] scrambling and then you're it's just

[14:26] it's just a not not a good situation so

[14:28] that's a free advice for you guys there

[14:30] you go all right we're moving on number

[14:32] five RC loot Council okay so this one

[14:36] clearly subjective um if your guild is

[14:39] not a loot Council Guild you can just

[14:41] fast forward on but wait a second

[14:43] because we're going to tell you guys why

[14:45] this is such a cool add-on um so what

[14:47] this does we decided a little while ago

[14:49] that we were going to switch to a loot

[14:50] Council system um if you watched one of

[14:52] our other top 10 videos you'll know that

[14:54] in my opinion I think loot is evil I

[14:56] hate loot I think it is the the main

[14:59] problem of a lot of arguments and raids

[15:01] so we decided to take that aspect out of

[15:03] it and said look we elected these four

[15:04] officers we're going to do a loot

[15:06] Council um we're going to be as

[15:07] impartial as possible what the loot

[15:09] Council system does it allows us to push

[15:10] gear to the players that will help the

[15:12] guild progress the furthest but we won't

[15:14] get into that too much what RC loot

[15:16] Council does is it gives a nice pop-up

[15:18] window shows all of the items that

[15:21] dropped off a boss and then gives a lot

[15:23] of Cool Tools it shows what the player

[15:25] currently has equipped it it shows um

[15:28] adds a section for notes it allows the

[15:30] player to say need greed minor upgrade

[15:33] all these really important um things

[15:35] that raid leaders need to know about at

[15:38] a at a glance right and it puts in a

[15:40] really convenient window so we can go

[15:42] through loot especially when Legion

[15:44] drops this is huge when expansions first

[15:46] come out because there's a lot of gear

[15:47] that's getting upgraded really quickly

[15:49] so when we're going to you know five 10

[15:51] people are going to need a piece of gear

[15:52] I'm going to be able to see what they

[15:53] have equipped I'm going to be able to

[15:55] see a note from them that says oh this

[15:57] is a major upgrade this this is my best

[15:59] in slot things like that and that's

[16:00] really important to keep that line of

[16:02] communication open um yeah and we

[16:04] recently just switched back to this so

[16:06] I'm very excited to try this out for the

[16:07] start of an expansion because we we

[16:09] switched to it in the middle of it it

[16:11] was okay we switched to something else

[16:13] and now we're going back to RC loot

[16:14] Council yeah I want to add the little

[16:16] caveat too because right now we're still

[16:19] under the impression that Master loot is

[16:20] still going to be the default go-to for

[16:22] progression rating um they have made

[16:25] considerable changes to the way personal

[16:27] loot works so so personal loot might

[16:29] actually end up being a better solution

[16:31] for us we're not quite sure yet we're

[16:33] kind of have to play it by ear they're

[16:35] adding some things like being able to

[16:36] trade loot that's been dropped from

[16:37] personal that kind of stuff so we'll see

[16:40] how that plays into it but regardless if

[16:43] you're on the leading team with your

[16:45] raid have a conversation about this you

[16:47] want to make sure that you're doing

[16:49] everything you can to be as transparent

[16:51] as possible with your team on how you're

[16:53] Distributing Loot and making sure that

[16:56] the community agrees with how you're

[16:57] doing it otherwise you're just going to

[16:59] cause crazy drama issues that don't need

[17:01] to exist that's

[17:03] right all right so we're going to go

[17:05] ahead and move on to number four this is

[17:08] ask Mr Robot and pawn um these are two

[17:12] add-ons and kind of tools as well

[17:15] they're kind of a little bit of

[17:16] combination so um kind of going along

[17:18] with like put your theory Craft on

[17:19] Theory craft hat on for a second um

[17:22] let's say let's say you really want to

[17:25] get nitty-gritty with your class and you

[17:27] don't just want to look at it best

[17:28] thought list posted on Icy Veins you

[17:30] want to go the next step further my my

[17:33] initial suggestion is to find those

[17:34] Theory crafting websites usually we have

[17:36] them linked on our website um try to

[17:38] keep that list up to date um they have

[17:41] they will always post their stat weights

[17:43] for the class this is like intellect is

[17:46] valued at uh one point or like 100% um

[17:50] let's say crit is valued at 75% this

[17:52] kind of stuff and what pawn and asmin

[17:55] robot allow you to do is import those

[17:57] stat weights for your class import the

[18:00] loot that you're currently wearing and

[18:02] then figure out what the best

[18:04] combination of that is to validate those

[18:07] stat weights so this is just one of

[18:08] those tools that not necessarily you

[18:11] need to use but if you want to push

[18:12] yourself to the next level more than

[18:14] just saying oh I know this piece is

[18:16] better I think but just to be sure let's

[18:19] check um this is going to make sure like

[18:21] help you oh is this an upgrade or should

[18:23] I equip this instead of that or what

[18:26] happens if I shift over to Mastery

[18:29] instead what does that look like um so

[18:31] using both these tools will help you do

[18:33] that um I will say Pawn is like a free

[18:36] add-on that you can use asmos robot uses

[18:38] their um uh website for part of this as

[18:41] well as their add-on uh the asmos robot

[18:43] part involves a subscription to get you

[18:46] a lot of really cool features if you

[18:47] haven't checked it out you can actually

[18:49] import your gear from the game into

[18:52] their online website and save it and do

[18:54] all kinds of changes so um kind up to

[18:56] you which one you like but I definitely

[18:57] suggest looking at pawn and ask Mr Robot

[19:01] so and I will say I'm very silent in

[19:03] this one because my advice to you guys

[19:05] is if you don't want to put on your

[19:06] theory crafting helmet I'm G actually

[19:08] going to take my hat off and I'm going

[19:10] to give it to Sean because my advice is

[19:12] to find a friend that's into this find

[19:15] somebody and Sean mentioned the theory

[19:16] crafting websites because there are

[19:18] people that are so good at this and Sean

[19:20] is one of them um I rely on him and the

[19:24] The Raid and the guild relies on him to

[19:25] say what the hell am I doing wrong am I

[19:29] am I because are people that like the

[19:31] number crunching and if you're one of

[19:33] them then Che out those addons if you're

[19:35] not one of them find Theory Crafters

[19:37] find friends that are really into it

[19:38] because they will save you guys headache

[19:40] after headache after headache and

[19:42] they're great tools um when they're when

[19:44] they're used by the right person yeah

[19:46] and this is something that can really

[19:47] set you apart too like if you're let's

[19:49] say you're not in a leadership role but

[19:50] you want to be in your guild this will

[19:52] absolutely set you apart if you're doing

[19:54] this research for your team trying to

[19:56] maximize your class and helping out

[19:57] others in the the process your leaders

[19:59] are going to notice or let's say you are

[20:02] currently a leader but you want to keep

[20:03] your team more focused this is how you

[20:05] do that this is one of the many ways you

[20:07] can do that so absolutely and speaking

[20:10] of raid team we're going to move on to

[20:11] number three Exorcist raid tools now

[20:15] full disclosure we love this thing in

[20:17] our Guild um the power is endless with

[20:20] this add-on and honestly I don't think

[20:22] we've even scratched the surface I know

[20:24] we use a couple modules here and there

[20:26] but the power of this add-on is so good

[20:28] and as the title suggests it is designed

[20:31] for Raiders it is a full tool kit of

[20:34] raid tools um it has an awesome notes

[20:37] feature which we're shifting to away

[20:39] from Angry assignments Into The Exorcist

[20:42] notes feature which allows you to keep

[20:44] that line of communication open with

[20:46] your raid including um assist type

[20:49] modules like we were talking about at

[20:50] number nine um but it's all in one nice

[20:54] package tied with a nice little bow and

[20:56] damn do they do a good job with it

[20:58] absolutely yep it's it's just such an

[21:01] invaluable tool right it's very similar

[21:02] to getting those custom week oras for an

[21:04] encounter or that kind of thing and it

[21:06] also helps you plan for a rate too

[21:08] depending on the encounter and things

[21:10] like that so like uh qum Rock and hfc is

[21:12] a great example of this um beforehand on

[21:15] the corn Rock fight I think actually uh

[21:17] cromok and black rock did the same

[21:19] similar thing um you actually plan out

[21:21] where your raid will go during the

[21:23] certain phase and as soon as that phase

[21:25] pops up everyone gets an arrow telling

[21:27] them where to go which is super helpful

[21:29] for mechanics it's very very similar to

[21:31] how DPM kind of functions on that level

[21:33] and things like that um but another

[21:35] thing it's like this is crazy it's it's

[21:37] not really like exor raid tools right so

[21:40] it's it's multiple things um another

[21:42] thing that they offer which is super

[21:45] super important for any leader on the

[21:47] team um tanks and I almost everyone

[21:51] really you can actually track raid

[21:53] cooldowns with exorsus raid tools one of

[21:56] their options is you can actually

[21:58] display um like let's say you have three

[22:00] Druids and you can actually check the

[22:02] box that says I want to show Tran

[22:04] essentially it builds like a little we

[22:06] or module that shows you the cool down

[22:08] of those three raid members Tran um it

[22:11] auto Picks Them it finds them if they're

[22:12] in the raid or whatever very very useful

[22:14] to use and then you can see like like as

[22:16] a healing officer oh we have a Tran

[22:18] available we can use that here or let's

[22:20] say you're a tank you can only show the

[22:23] external cooldowns like oh I need um

[22:26] hand of sacrifice right now so and they

[22:28] know it's off cool down because they can

[22:30] see it this is super super important um

[22:33] can't stress this enough and this will

[22:35] continue to be important in Legion don't

[22:37] worry I cannot say enough good things

[22:39] about this add-on they've done such a

[22:41] killer job of keeping this thing updated

[22:43] keeping it fresh with all of the bosses

[22:45] all the important features and tools um

[22:47] for me what Sean was just talking about

[22:49] is is extremely important because I'm

[22:51] looking at a snapshot of everybody in

[22:52] the guild that can provide some benefit

[22:54] to the team um even if you're not in a

[22:57] leadership role you can have that up on

[22:58] your screen say you're seeing that

[23:00] there's something that the The Raid

[23:02] officers or leaders are missing and you

[23:03] just say hey we're not using vigilance

[23:05] or hey we're not using um you know

[23:08] vampiric Embrace and no matter how minor

[23:10] these things may be if you just provide

[23:12] them the tool provide your team the tool

[23:14] you're setting yourself up for Success

[23:16] um and one last cool little feature that

[23:18] I love um I know you can do it in we

[23:20] oras but uh is the battle res monitor

[23:23] nice little box that says you have a

[23:25] battle res available you have two battle

[23:27] res available and then if you don't it

[23:29] gives you a timer so my eyes are

[23:31] constantly flitting up there especially

[23:32] when we're doing some of the more

[23:33] challenging content when I know there

[23:35] are periods where people are going to

[23:36] die I'm looking and I'm making snap

[23:38] decisions about who to Res or who to Res

[23:40] in a minute or how many reses are

[23:42] available and I I mean guys they do so

[23:45] much with this add-on um don't be afraid

[23:47] to say all right everybody download this

[23:49] mandatory because it will save you so

[23:52] many headaches yep all right we're going

[23:55] to go and move into number two and this

[23:57] is one of the the biggies this is weak

[23:59] ores we're also going to throw tell me

[24:01] one in here as well so um throughout

[24:04] World of Warcraft cycle they've had

[24:05] things like power oras and different

[24:07] things like that to do tracking on your

[24:09] screen essentially um so that's what

[24:12] weak oras and tell me when currently

[24:13] occupy that space of tracking cooldowns

[24:16] monitoring Buffs um debuffs on the raid

[24:20] and even crazier stuff than that um so

[24:24] this is such an invaluable tool I think

[24:26] I I really can't stress enough um to

[24:29] where it's like it's kind of hard to

[24:31] this is kind of what we were talking

[24:32] about earlier you want to declutter your

[24:33] screen and make sure you're always

[24:34] focused on the center um weak Wars can

[24:37] really help you do that so let's say um

[24:40] uh let's go with a holy pal example just

[24:42] because that's what I'm used to playing

[24:44] um let's say I get a a proc from my uh

[24:49] my weapon enchant or something like that

[24:51] instead of just like looking at my Buffs

[24:52] and seeing that that proct I can get a

[24:54] weak or that says hey you have this buff

[24:56] available now you're kind of going crazy

[24:58] with crit um and you can do this with

[25:01] all kinds of different things so it

[25:02] really helps you take control of your

[25:04] Buffs and your cooldowns and things like

[25:06] that and help you monitor it in new and

[25:08] effective ways um it's not always visual

[25:11] too because with weak War you can do

[25:13] things like sound alerts so like for

[25:17] instance with my uh crit buff on my

[25:19] weapon enchant I can have like a little

[25:21] ding play every time my crit buff goes

[25:23] off so again that doesn't add any color

[25:25] to my screen but I get like an audio cue

[25:28] that hey you have this crit buff active

[25:30] do something about it um and you can do

[25:33] this with all kinds of different stuff

[25:34] yeah and this is one of those great

[25:35] tools that the community is really

[25:37] involved with if you guys are on Discord

[25:39] they're already talking about stuff for

[25:41] Legion and how to make we goros better

[25:44] um a simple Google search will get you

[25:46] everything you need to know about your

[25:48] class and a specific patch um I know

[25:50] Shawn always helps me out with my week

[25:52] Wars he'll give me he was just talking

[25:53] about audio cues I play a marksman

[25:55] Hunter right now and every time I throw

[25:57] all the h procs I get a big explosion

[25:59] sound and I get a big graphic and then

[26:01] blizzard did adopt a little bit of this

[26:03] you will notice that in the default they

[26:05] give you a few visuals but we're talking

[26:08] about control again guys we're talking

[26:09] about in a raid environment I want to

[26:11] have the control to see here um all of

[26:14] the things that are important to me as a

[26:15] Raider that is going to make me

[26:17] successful going to make the team

[26:18] successful um and it doesn't just stop

[26:20] with our class it actually goes further

[26:23] to allow you to weak or encounters

[26:25] encounter IDs boss mechanics I mean

[26:28] literally the possibilities are endless

[26:31] yeah just to give you kind of an example

[26:33] so I mean let's take um Tyrant for

[26:35] example um if any you guys have ever

[26:37] healed Tyrant on Mythic before Tyrant

[26:40] she has a mechanic that essentially puts

[26:42] a shield on a player and they will

[26:46] continue to take damage until this

[26:47] Invisible Shield or Whatever Gets healed

[26:50] off um but it's kind of hard to track

[26:53] this with all the other debuffs

[26:54] happening in that fight so there's a

[26:55] weak or that someone made in the

[26:57] community and you can just Google and

[26:58] find it that shows you the amount of uh

[27:02] healing left on their bubble that you

[27:04] have to heal off and also gives you the

[27:06] name of the player and things like that

[27:08] and these are all over the place I mean

[27:10] I think over the course of hfc as a

[27:11] Healer I use them for almost half of the

[27:14] fights I had custom weak ores just to

[27:15] help me play better and help the team

[27:18] play better um so I mean yeah we really

[27:20] can't stress this enough um and if you

[27:22] go ahead and check out our tools video

[27:24] coming soon uh might already be up

[27:26] depending on when this goes up um we're

[27:28] also going to cover a new website that

[27:30] just came out uh this actually I found

[27:32] this on the week or Discord um you can

[27:35] probably just type in like we or Discord

[27:36] to get the invite link for that they

[27:38] actually are developing a new tool right

[27:40] now that is it's just a web interface so

[27:43] you can go to it's

[27:46] wo. is the

[27:48] website um this is essentially a big

[27:51] repository of a bunch of week oras from

[27:53] community members um like Cody was

[27:56] saying I mean there are resources all

[27:58] over the place for you to find weak oras

[28:00] and things like that so I can't stress

[28:02] enough how important this is now if

[28:04] everything that we just said kind of

[28:06] went whoa what's happening this sounds

[28:08] really complicated I don't know how to

[28:10] code I don't know how to program this is

[28:13] crazy don't worry too much um weor

[28:16] really doesn't have a whole lot if you

[28:17] just want the basic cool down tracking

[28:19] and that kind of thing you can generally

[28:21] speaking make a week or to track that

[28:23] within five or 10 minutes depending on

[28:25] your familiarity with it mhm most likely

[28:28] most likely somebody has already done it

[28:30] yeah yeah so don't feel like you have to

[28:32] always make something custom there's

[28:33] usually already a solution out there but

[28:35] if you kind of feel the need to like say

[28:37] you found a custom solution weor but

[28:39] you're really kind of scared to edit it

[28:41] or like mess with it um there is an

[28:44] alternate that I mentioned earlier this

[28:45] is called tell me when um this is used

[28:47] by a lot of people as well um if you're

[28:50] ever familiar with uh preaches videos on

[28:52] YouTube he's a huge advocate of tell me

[28:54] one um and we ORS as well but I think he

[28:56] uses tell me one uh more which is kind

[28:59] of where I heard of it it's essentially

[29:01] a simpler version of weak wars in the

[29:03] sense that you can still do everything

[29:05] that we Wars can pretty much um but it's

[29:08] easier to use so it kind of has a much

[29:10] more like wow blizzard is interface um

[29:14] with adding new weak or or adding new uh

[29:17] tracking stuff and that kind of thing so

[29:18] if you're kind of new to the scene and

[29:20] you want to get started with this I

[29:21] would recommend either starting with we

[29:24] or telling when whatever you're most

[29:26] comfortable with but as long as you

[29:27] doing it that's the important thing so

[29:29] possibilities are endless guys you just

[29:31] got to explore you got to do your Google

[29:33] searches um there are videos out there

[29:35] on YouTube that will show you how to

[29:36] make complicated things simple things

[29:38] it's an awesome tool and it's only going

[29:40] to get better in Legion absolutely and

[29:43] uh let's let's cap this one off with our

[29:45] number one uh add-on that we think

[29:47] everybody should use no matter what the

[29:49] situation and I think you guys probably

[29:51] know this uh it's the most popularly

[29:53] downloaded add-on on curse and it is

[29:56] deadly boss mods

[29:57] Andor Big Wigs um as Raiders we know

[30:01] that uh deadly boss mods has been around

[30:03] for a long time and it is still

[30:07] invaluable I cannot stress it enough how

[30:10] much success we owe to this add-on

[30:12] because what it does for you guys who

[30:14] may not have downloaded it um is it

[30:17] basically breaks down um the mechanics

[30:19] in each fight and it'll give you

[30:21] auditory cues it'll give you visual cues

[30:23] it'll give you um it'll kind of break

[30:26] groups apart it do display things it'll

[30:28] do all sorts of really great things

[30:30] that'll bring your attention to a

[30:32] specific mechanic um phase of an

[30:34] encounter and and there's not that much

[30:36] to say about it because everybody uses

[30:38] it and it's so essential and ptim we

[30:41] can't forget ptim wouldn't exist without

[30:43] dbm I mean you could type it in the chat

[30:45] I guess but I don't know mean take it

[30:47] for granted it seems like rating without

[30:49] dbm is just just weird you know like

[30:51] there's so much that it does like in the

[30:53] background and what you see while you're

[30:54] rating it's like how did people put play

[30:57] these bosses without dbm and this kind

[31:00] of stuff it's it's a lot more difficult

[31:02] is the end answer now you can kind of

[31:04] build parts of dbm with weak ORS and

[31:07] things like that which again goes back

[31:09] to what we were saying earlier is like

[31:11] if the community's already built it and

[31:12] it works just use that you know like if

[31:15] it already exists it's there you don't

[31:17] have to recreate it yourself and go

[31:19] through that pain and struggle so using

[31:21] dbm and and they're really really fast

[31:23] with updating this thing they are always

[31:25] on beta and Alpha PTR testing whatever

[31:28] they can to make sure that as soon as

[31:31] the patch hits or very very soon after

[31:33] they have a release to cover that boss

[31:36] which is awesome one of the most

[31:37] supported add-ons out there yeah now if

[31:40] you're really crazy and you don't want

[31:41] to use dbm that's fine you can use Big

[31:44] Wigs as well fine it's not fine um I

[31:48] think we have a few people in the raid

[31:49] that use Big Wigs or maybe used I to

[31:51] them um it's it's it's there you know um

[31:54] there's also another add-on that's kind

[31:55] of does similar things it's called GTFO

[31:59] um probably know what that means uh it's

[32:01] like a add-on that just yells at you

[32:03] when you're standing in fire or similar

[32:05] things also very very helpful but I mean

[32:08] at the end of the day it's the same

[32:09] thing that we've been saying you want to

[32:12] make sure what you're seeing on your

[32:13] screen is valuable and it's easy to see

[32:15] easy to understand and that's what dbm

[32:18] does in one package um but however

[32:21] you're doing it getting these is it's

[32:24] crucial that's this is how you you know

[32:26] you raid if you want to be a Raider you

[32:28] need to have dbm installed just flat out

[32:31] yep I mean there's so many you can get

[32:33] away with never opening the actual

[32:35] settings for dbm or you could go into it

[32:38] you know especially if you're into lvi

[32:40] and into fully customizing your UI you

[32:42] can move things around you can make

[32:44] things bigger smaller um you they

[32:46] actually have a ton of features per boss

[32:48] that you can instantiate or you could

[32:50] take away it's very customizable but if

[32:52] you just again another add-on right out

[32:54] of the box is good to go yep but it's

[32:57] essential we've been using it for

[32:58] expansion after expansion I know the

[33:01] support's going to be there in the next

[33:02] expansion we're all still going to use

[33:04] it because it's that big of a tool um

[33:07] absolutely I you just can't you can't

[33:09] forget about it all right so that was it

[33:13] top 10 add-ons I feel like those are

[33:14] some really good ones Sean yeah and and

[33:16] let's not forget there are so many more

[33:18] that we couldn't mention here so if you

[33:21] ever are more Curious of about what you

[33:23] can push your game to do more just check

[33:24] out uh I think it's like mods. Cur

[33:27] or just Google like curse wow add-ons
