[00:17] is to provide a summary of the law

[00:19] behind the World of Warcraft up to the

[00:21] beginning of the world Soul Saga we'll

[00:23] cover stories from the origins of the

[00:25] universe the great sundering and the war

[00:27] of the Ancients all the way to

[00:29] significant events like the fall of the

[00:31] Lich King and the rediscovery of the

[00:33] Dragon ises so sit back grab a pint of

[00:38] summary of the law of World of Warcraft

[00:41] for many of us the story of World of

[00:43] Warcraft begins in the 25th year on the

[00:46] universe's timeline when us adventurers

[00:49] were Unleashed across Azeroth for others

[00:51] it started on the very first year of the

[00:53] timeline when the orcish horde traveled

[00:55] through the dark portal and raided the

[00:57] kingdom of Stormwind however as we know

[01:00] this wasn't the beginning of the

[01:01] warcraft story with the timeline split

[01:04] into two sections the period of time

[01:06] before the dark portal and then the

[01:07] period After the Dark Portal there are

[01:10] hundreds of thousands of years of law

[01:12] predating the modern events that us

[01:14] adventurers have experienced so on that

[01:16] note let's start at the very beginning

[01:19] the origins of the universe the warcraft

[01:22] Universe can be explained using this

[01:24] diagram which illustrates all Cosmic

[01:26] forces and the entities born from them

[01:28] within the game here we need to focus on

[01:30] two primary energies the light and the

[01:33] void initially light expanded throughout

[01:36] the endless universe as it spread

[01:38] pockets of nothingness formed giving

[01:40] rise to its opposite the void which

[01:43] sought to consume the light their Cosmic

[01:46] battle caused catastrophic explosions

[01:48] leading to the formation of the warcraft

[01:50] Universe the Great Dark Beyond as these

[01:53] energies clashed matter merged into

[01:55] primordial Worlds the most unstable of

[01:58] these energies created the twi exting

[02:00] nether an astral Dimension linked to the

[02:02] Great Dark Beyond but existing outside

[02:04] of the physical Universe alongside this

[02:07] shards of light scattered across the

[02:09] Great Dark Beyond and spread life across

[02:11] these newly formed planets some of the

[02:13] first life forms created were Elemental

[02:15] beings of fire water Earth and air

[02:18] occasionally light shards formed

[02:20] powerful beings like the Naru who used

[02:23] holy magic to nurture life and even more

[02:25] extraordinary the light would coales

[02:27] into beings known as the Titans whose

[02:30] Spirits called world souls formed within

[02:33] the cores of certain planets these

[02:35] Titans slumbered for ages their energies

[02:44] Thal driven by a belief that more of his

[02:47] kind existed he searched the Great Dark

[02:49] Beyond and successfully found other

[02:56] together they formed the pantheon a

[02:58] group of Titans dedicated ated to

[03:00] shaping Worlds overseeing the universe

[03:02] and seeking out more Titan world souls

[03:05] however as we know where there is light

[03:07] there is also Darkness from the very

[03:10] moment the cosmos began dark Spirits

[03:12] known as the void Lords sought to twist

[03:15] reality into eternal torment envious of

[03:18] the pantheon and their abilities the

[03:20] void Lords aimed to corrupt a Titan

[03:22] unable to manifest physically in the

[03:24] Great Dark beyond their energies warped

[03:26] some of the new life forms throughout

[03:28] the Universe targeting slumbering Titans

[03:31] the void Lords hurled dark creatures

[03:33] Across the Universe hoping to hit a

[03:35] world Soul these creatures became known

[03:37] as the old gods the Titans were aware of

[03:39] these void energies but not of the Void

[03:42] Lords or the old gods and they were more

[03:44] focused on a more important and Sinister

[03:46] threat forming in the universe the

[03:48] demons in the twisting nether who were

[03:50] set on destroying all life these demons

[03:53] fueled by their Furious passions

[03:55] recklessly explored their powers many

[03:58] indulged in fell magic breach the

[04:00] physical universe and wreaking havoc on

[04:02] Mortal worlds these demons took various

[04:04] forms from two-headed void hounds to

[04:07] monstrous infernals mindless fusions of

[04:10] matter and fell energy among the more

[04:12] cunning demons were the Nath resim also

[04:14] known as dread Lords from the

[04:16] shadowlands a hellish realm that existed

[04:18] alongside the physical universe and a

[04:20] place for The Souls of the Dead who had

[04:22] passed on from the world of the living

[04:24] we will come back to the shadowlands

[04:25] later in this tale these masters of

[04:27] Shadow Magic the Naim could cross

[04:29] crossed the barrier into the worlds of

[04:31] the Great Dark Beyond and they began

[04:33] infiltrating mortal societies sowing

[04:35] Discord and transforming innocence into

[04:38] demons the pantheon aware of these

[04:40] demonic invasions feared that they would

[04:42] interfere with their mission to find and

[04:44] awaken other world souls so they sent

[04:46] their Greatest Warrior sargeras to purge

[04:48] the universe of demonic influence as he

[04:51] vowed to cleanse creation of these

[04:53] chaotic beings sagaris ventured into the

[04:55] Great Dark witnessing civilizations

[04:58] destroyed and inhabitants to turned into

[05:00] the aberration by the twisting nether

[05:02] despite their vast numbers the

[05:03] disorganized demons were no match for

[05:05] the Titan and he slaughtered countless

[05:07] foes on his Divine Mission he discovered

[05:10] some demons wielded void energies

[05:13] revealing the existence of the Void

[05:15] Lords and the corruption they were

[05:16] capable of troubled by this news he

[05:19] continued on with his War allowing the

[05:21] pantheon to continue their search for

[05:23] nent Titans realizing demons were reborn

[05:26] in the twisting nether after death

[05:28] sagaris created the prison Adam to

[05:30] contain them permanently with agar's

[05:32] assistance they fought demons for

[05:34] Millennia saris discovered a world

[05:36] consumed by void energies where old gods

[05:39] had corrupted a slumbering Titan

[05:40] learning from theth regime the void

[05:42] Lords aimed to corrupt the Titan into an

[05:44] Unstoppable force sargeras in fear and

[05:48] rage destroyed the world and the nent

[05:51] Titan within it to prevent its

[05:52] corruption returning to the pantheon

[05:55] sargeras faced criticism for his drastic

[05:57] actions they believed the Titan could

[05:59] have been saved but sagaris fearing void

[06:02] corruption suggested that destroying all

[06:04] creation to stop the void Lords was the

[06:09] helping him opposed him urging a

[06:11] different solution feeling betrayed by

[06:13] the other Titans sagaris left the

[06:15] pantheon choosing a path of Destruction

[06:18] to save the universe from the

[06:20] void azeroth's World Soul began to

[06:22] develop and Elemental spirits of fire

[06:25] earth air and water waged apocalyptic

[06:28] battles on its surface each element was

[06:30] ruled by a powerful Lord alakia ragnaros

[06:33] thezan and neptulon who all struggled

[06:36] for dominance in a chaotic cycle the old

[06:39] gods yashar cun yaron and Nao arrived on

[06:43] the planet and corrupted Azeroth they

[06:45] set about their task by creating the

[06:47] faceless ones and the AKA they built the

[06:50] black Empire and Enslaved the elemental

[06:52] Lords causing endless suffering on the

[06:55] planet while aiming to corrupt azeroth's

[06:57] slumbering World soul to combat the

[06:59] corruption the pantheon created Titan

[07:01] forged constructs known as the keepers

[07:04] to restore the order amanul empowered

[07:06] the high keeper raah and keeper Odin

[07:08] kazgaroth gave his skills to the keeper

[07:10] aradus ganth granted storm Dominion to

[07:13] keeper thorium and hodia Iona gave

[07:16] keeper Freer control of azeroth's Flora

[07:18] and FAA nanon shared his intellect with

[07:21] Keepers lokin and mimon and agramar

[07:23] imparted strength and courage to the

[07:25] keeper Tia The Greatest Warrior among

[07:27] them together they crafted the Forge of

[07:29] wells and the forge of origination to

[07:32] stabilize Azeroth creating new life

[07:34] forms and reshaping the world the

[07:36] keepers then used the forges to create

[07:38] the Titan forged and with their new

[07:40] armies they launched a successful

[07:42] campaign against the old gods and their

[07:44] minion the keepers and the Titan forged

[07:46] launched a successful campaign against

[07:48] the old gods and their minions

[07:50] imprisoning the elemental Lords but when

[07:52] the Titans attacked yashar Raj they

[07:55] discovered a grim fact Aman thul reached

[07:57] down to the Skies of Azeroth and he the

[07:59] old God yashar from the planet but by

[08:02] doing so he inadvertently ripped open a

[08:05] wound in azeroth's surface and the world

[08:07] Soul's Arcane lifeblood flowed to the

[08:09] surface it was then that the pantheon

[08:11] realized that the old gods had embedded

[08:14] themselves so deep that they could not

[08:15] be slain without destroying Azeroth

[08:17] itself and instead they resolved to

[08:19] imprison the remaining three old gods

[08:21] rather than killing them outright once

[08:23] the old gods had been imprisoned

[08:25] together they managed to stabilize

[08:27] azeroth's wound transforming it Into The

[08:29] Well of Eternity a lake of scintillating

[08:32] Arcane energies and Limitless power that

[08:34] would accelerate growth of life on the

[08:36] planet's surface though the black Empire

[08:38] had been defeated its corruption left

[08:40] lasting scars the keepers continued

[08:43] their quest to help Azeroth and created

[08:45] various titanforged beings and set up

[08:47] new sanctuaries including ulo and Alam

[08:51] to maintain balance and oversee the

[08:53] world despite their best efforts not all

[08:55] life forming on the planet would be

[08:57] peaceful a Proto dragon named galacon

[09:00] became a threat galacon was defeated by

[09:03] the forces of other Proto dragons and

[09:05] the Titan Keepers chose five of them to

[09:07] empower alextraza Naran malagos isera

[09:11] and nozdormu turning them into the

[09:13] dragon aspects to protect Azeroth they

[09:16] were supported by the newly created

[09:18] Dragon flights and they settled in worr

[09:20] Temple the keeper Odin angered by being

[09:25] the valkia he then created an elite of

[09:28] Ral Army to attacked Azeroth but by

[09:33] further conflict after severing ties

[09:37] himself consumed by the fear that the

[09:39] void Lords had corrupted other Titan

[09:41] world souls he concluded that the

[09:43] Universe was irredeemable and resolved

[09:46] to destroy all creation to stop the void

[09:48] Lords beginning the burning Crusade

[09:51] sarara sought power from Madam the plane

[09:53] of banishment that he had created

[09:55] Millennia ago filled with fell energy

[09:57] and Demons by shattering during Mam's

[10:00] prison he Unleashed fell energy that

[10:01] transformed him into a being of pure

[10:04] hatred this act tore the veil between

[10:06] the Great Dark Beyond and the twisting

[10:08] nether flooding the universe with demons

[10:11] these demons United under sargeras

[10:14] formed the burning Legion the legion's

[10:16] first Target was a Titan shaped world

[10:18] and they devastated its civilizations

[10:21] when the conell overseeing the World

[10:23] arrived sargeras killed it agrar

[10:25] confronted sargeras demanding an

[10:27] explanation sargeras declared his plan

[10:30] to purify the universe through complete

[10:32] destruction agramar challenged him but

[10:34] despite fighting valiantly he was

[10:36] outmatched by saris' fell magic wounded

[10:39] agramar retreated to the pantheon the

[10:41] Titans shocked by saris' betrayal

[10:43] prepared to confront him the pantheon

[10:46] and sargeras battled near a planet named

[10:48] nilum and they struggled against

[10:50] sargeras's fell fueled might sargeras

[10:53] then Unleashed a f storm to destroy them

[10:55] but nanon used Arcane energies to

[10:57] protect the Titan's spirit launching

[10:59] their Spirits into the Great Dark Beyond

[11:02] as their physical forms were obliterated

[11:04] by sagaris believing he had won sagaris

[11:07] turned his attention to finding and

[11:09] conquering Azeroth before the void Lords

[11:11] could after defeating the pantheon sarer

[11:13] sought to strengthen his demon Army

[11:15] realizing their lack of strategic

[11:17] thinking as a weakness to address this

[11:19] issue he identified a race known as the

[11:21] erida who were native to the planet

[11:23] Argus as ideal beings to be his

[11:25] commanders the arida led by arimond

[11:28] killed Jaden and and Von were hyper

[11:30] intelligent beings sargeras disguised as

[11:33] a radiant being promised them knowledge

[11:35] power and the chance to transform worlds

[11:37] into peaceful sanctuaries aland and kill

[12:54] races would be the trolls the trolls

[12:59] established zalazar around 16,000 years

[13:02] ago over time various tribes such as the

[13:04] gurub Bashi and the ammani emerged

[13:07] nandala a forbidden Mount led to the

[13:09] Awakening of a craxi general known as

[13:12] kiix who attacked the trolls with an

[13:14] ancient black Empire race the Akia in

[13:16] response the trolls formed the Empire of

[13:18] Zol and drove the Akia away though they

[13:22] continued to remain ever Vigilant

[13:24] against future threats around 15,000

[13:26] years ago the mou Protectors of the the

[13:29] veil of Eternal blossoms faced internal

[13:31] strife due to the curse of Flesh lean

[13:33] known as The Thunder King unified them

[13:36] through fear and power creating a brutal

[15:46] druidic Powers idan's bravery and

[15:48] tander's Leadership made significant

[15:50] impacts against the burning Legion they

[15:53] sought aid from sarius and the wild gods

[15:55] of Azeroth but time was short to help

[15:58] their forces in the War of the Ancients

[15:59] malfurion also sought help from the

[16:02] dragon aspects Alex razza and the others

[16:04] met at wmrra Temple where alarion

[16:07] proposed using the dragon soulall an

[16:09] enchanted artifact with the power of the

[16:11] Dragons infused into it to defeat the

[16:13] burning Legion unbeknown to the others

[16:16] naron was corrupted by the old gods and

[16:18] using his weapon later renamed as the

[16:20] demon soul led him to betray his allies

[16:23] he decimated the burning Legion but then

[16:25] also attacked the night Elves and the

[16:27] dragons nearly wiping out the blue

[16:29] dragon flight entirely and forcing the

[16:31] night elves to retreat Naran now going

[16:34] by the name of Deathwing fled leaving

[16:37] his black dragon flight nearly extinct

[16:39] deathwing's betrayal during the war of

[16:41] the ancient devastated the night elves

[16:43] and then idan's mysterious disappearance

[16:46] only added to their despair in reality

[16:49] Idan had deserted the resistance his

[16:51] rivalry with his brother malfurion

[16:53] rejection by teranda Whisper wind and

[16:55] manipulation by the SATA xavius drove

[16:58] him to seek power with the legion Idan

[17:01] turned to sargeras who granted him great

[17:03] power marked him with fell tattoos and

[17:05] burned out his eyes armed with these new

[17:08] abilities Idan set out to steal the

[17:10] dragon soul Idan succeeded delivering

[17:13] the dragon soul to the Highborn who used

[17:15] it to open a Gateway for sargeras to

[17:17] enter Azeroth despite claiming he joined

[17:19] the legion to understand and defeat them

[17:21] idan's betrayal and ambition forever

[17:29] discovered the legion's plan to use

[17:31] surar as a base they sabotaged the

[17:42] other races and launched a desperate

[17:44] assault on zenari malfurion Tanda and

[17:52] destruction of The Well of Eternity

[17:58] destroyed the supercontinent known as

[18:00] Caldor the continent fragmented into

[18:02] several land masses and created the

[18:04] Maelstrom at the center of Azeroth the

[18:07] great sundering destroyed The Well of

[18:09] Eternity leading the night elves to

[18:11] abandon Arcane magic they retreated to

[18:14] mount hydel where Edan storm rage

[18:16] created a new well using remnants of the

[18:18] old one malurian storm rage opposed him

[18:21] fearing it could invite the legion back

[18:23] and with sarius his help they imprisoned

[18:28] said and nozdormu sealed the new well

[18:31] with the world Tre nordra Cil granting

[18:33] the night elves immortality and

[18:35] protection from the demons the night

[18:37] elves under Tanda whisper wind and

[18:39] malurian storm rage later faced a

[18:41] Resurgence of demons that had been left

[18:43] on Azeroth after the war of the Ancients

[18:47] were led by zal and the fear Chandra

[18:50] feathermoon proposed using Druids in

[18:52] battle to defeat the zers and this led

[18:54] to a successful Counterattack however a

[18:57] faction of these Druids turned into

[18:59] uncontrollable wargon Mal furian

[19:01] established the scaran circle to manage

[19:03] druidic practices and contain the wargan

[19:05] threat the combined efforts of the night

[19:07] elves led to the defeat of the satas the

[19:10] Highborn unable to resist Arcane magic

[19:12] were exiled by the night elves led by

[19:15] darrar sunrider they settled in the

[19:17] Eastern kingdoms discovering the sunwell

[19:20] and founding the kingdom of qualos their

[19:23] new civilization though prosperous fac

[19:26] threats from hostile trolls the Highborn

[19:28] in North friend struggling without

[19:30] Arcane power stole crystallization

[19:32] techniques from Blue Dragons their

[19:34] experiments backfired crystallizing moon

[19:38] Crystal song Forest The Druids of the

[19:40] scaran circle led by fandel stag Helm

[19:43] planted World trees to combat old God

[19:46] corruption andrell in northrend

[19:48] initially thrived but was corrupted by

[19:50] yaron leading to its destruction and the

[19:53] creation of the emerald nightmare

[19:55] sometime later the exiled mechan Nomes

[19:57] living in Alderman trans formed into the

[19:59] Gnomes by the curse of Flesh and they

[20:01] left the halls of Alderman and

[20:02] established settlements in dumor they

[20:05] developed a society centered around

[20:07] technology and began losing their memory

[20:09] of their ancient Origins 200 years after

[20:12] this human tribes in the Eastern

[20:14] kingdoms unified under the warlord

[20:16] thorodin to form the nation of arthor

[20:18] establishing a capital in lordon known

[20:20] as strum thorodin fortified the kingdom

[20:25] elves of qual Theos secure a period of

[20:28] peace in the northern land the ammani

[20:32] lower launched several attacks on the

[20:34] High Elves arthor led by Thorin

[20:36] intervened and using a strategic trap

[20:39] and magical support they decisively

[20:41] defeated the trolls marking a new era of

[20:44] cooperation between qualos and arthor

[20:47] following thorin's Reign arthor expanded

[20:49] into new territories including lordon

[20:52] and gilas the City of Daran emerged as a

[20:55] major Hub of magical study for the

[20:56] humans and eventually became an

[20:58] autonomous city state facing tensions

[21:01] over its magic use Daran under threat

[21:04] from demonic infiltration formed the
