Dr. Doom's Face: Marvel Theory — Full Breakdown & Transcript

[01:57] Jr. as Dr. Doom on July 7th, 2024, we have been wondering why does he have that face? In fact, Marvel just teased us again with this mysterious connection. Avengers Endgame originally ended with the sound of Tony's hammer

[02:10] ended with the sound of Tony's hammer forging his Iron Man armor, intercuts that hammering with these images of Doom creating his mask,

[02:22] linking the character of Dr. Doom to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark. Today, possible reasons. And I have a theory that I think finally perfectly explains much sense that when I thought of it, like everything clicked in my mind.

[02:37] First, let's talk about all the other possible reasons. One, this is just stunt casting. Marvel Studios saw the diminishing return of their box office. they needed butts in the seats, so they brought back their biggest star. After

[02:51] all, listen to the crowd when this was revealed. that. They could have gotten any number of legendary actors to play Dr. Doom.

[03:05] back Downey, he could have just returned as Iron Man, which I think he will, but what they're risking by bringing Downey back as Doom. This could end up undermining Tony's perfect ending in Endgame. And would Robert Downey Jr.

[03:19] even agree to do this if it was just stunt casting? Think about it. He just franchise in history and then turn around and won around and won an Oscar. RDJ was at a place in his career when he could do

[03:31] literally anything, but he chose to do this. And maybe it's just ego and he wanted to prove that he could play a villain and a hero. But there has to be a reason within the story that makes this casting work. So no, I don't just

[03:44] think this is going to be stunt casting. Reason number two, Dr. Doom is a Tony multiverse saga, there are an infinite number of universes amount of possibilities for our favorite characters. So, we've seen various

[03:57] versions of Doctor Strange get killed, turn evil, or go insane. We've seen heroes in the world and turn into a zombie. And we've seen versions of Loki was even more evil. I killed Thor.

[04:10] So, it actually makes sense for us to think that Dr. Doom would just be a variant of Tony Stark. I mean, after all, we have made countless theory moment that Tony Stark could have broken bad. Maybe he didn't have

[04:22] in his life. Maybe the snap scarred him and he failed to stop Thanos. But while the idea of evil Tony Stark is a lot of fun, that's not the character of Dr. Dr. Doom is my favorite character in Marvel comics. He and Tony are

[04:37] but they are very different people. Tony Stark is a war propheteer who suffered a near-death experience and afterwards was driven by a compulsion to atone for his the compulsion to atone for his sins or atone for anything. He was born on the

[04:51] fringes of society, then dedicated his life to becoming a master of science in the dark arts. Unlike Tony, he was never motivated by guilt, but instead by love. He wanted to save his mother from hell and then conquer the world in order to

[05:04] keep it safe. And I will admit that him conquering the world is similar to Tony's Iron Legion. I see a suit of armor around the world. But Tony again was motivated by fear and guilt, while Doom is driven by pure ego

[05:17] and self-confidence. And as they've ramped up the Doomsday marketing, we've seen that this just isn't the case. Tony is not a variant of Dr. Doom or vice versa. Doom is from the same universe as the Fantastic 4, universe 828. From what

[05:30] Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. He used to be different. And I'll remind you that their universe is set in the 1960s before our Tony Stark was ever born. So Dr. Doom cannot be a variant of Tony Stark that took a

[05:45] he look like that? Now, they keep making X-Men cast announcements, but so far they have not confirmed Wolverine. And I think that's because Wolverine is likely to debut in a solo movie. And the new Wolverine game shows them the perfect

[05:58] made a Wolverine game. Yes. Marvel's Wolverine, the this video, was created by Insomniac, the same studio that gave us the stellar Spider-Man series, and the game is releasing on the PlayStation 5. This

[06:10] game is the perfect way to tell a solo Wolverine story. It takes place 3 years after Wolverine walks away from Team X. Logan is now traveling the world to save mutants that were kidnapped by Bolivar Tras. So, you play through locations

[06:22] like the high and low towns of Major, the streets of Tokyo, and the frozen about the gameplay is that it is intuitive for beginners like me, but it intuitive for beginners like me, but it also evolves as you
