In this video, Harris Heller (formerly Senpai Gaming) explains the personal and professional changes that led to his new appearance and the rebranding of his channel to 'Senpai'. He discusses his journey through burnout, financial stress, and health issues, and outlines his plans for a new self-improvement series called 'Selfish' and a revamped main channel.
Heller attributes his physical and mental decline to years of burnout, doing videos out of necessity to pay bills and employees, and being taken advantage of by a large company, losing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The birth of his second daughter, Aussie, made him realize how unhealthy he had become and reminded him that his new daughter needed a strong, healthy dad.
He quit sugar for 30 days, then 100 days, started tracking food, worked out harder, lost 30 lbs, and got a hair transplant in Turkey. Combined with no longer bleaching his hair, he looks so different that friends didn't recognize him at TwitchCon.
He realized that reviewing gear fed a consumerist machine and brought little value, so he started a new series called 'Selfish'—monthly 30-day challenges to improve himself, starting with quitting sugar, with future episodes on cold plunging and attention span.
The streaming space has changed since COVID, so he plans to keep tutorials but also experiment with creative content, interview creators, launch 24/7 streams with StreamBeats, and build a new website. He also renamed the channel from 'Senpai Gaming' to 'Senpai'.
He mentions using body doubling (an ADHD tactic) by streaming co-working sessions with StreamBeats in the background, which makes him 10 times more productive, and credits the study time Twitch channel for the idea.
Heller is making deliberate changes to prioritize his health and happiness, and he invites viewers to suggest 30-day self-growth challenges and share their own plans for 2026, framing this as a year of personal transformation.
