AI Summary

Linus Sebastian works a full shift at a random tech mall in Taipei, building and repairing computers for customers. Unbeknownst to him, his team has secretly placed a rush order for a high-end PC that he must complete by the end of his shift, which he will then give away to a lucky fan.

[0:00]
Setup and Secret Plan

Linus returns to the Taipei tech mall to work a full shift (1 PM to 9 PM) doing troubleshooting, building, and repairing. His team secretly places a rush order for a PC that Linus must build, intending to give it away.

[1:18]
First Customer Interactions

Linus helps customers with various issues: one with a laggy PC (advises BIOS update and power saving settings), another with cable management, and a third with a no-post system (finds 24-pin not connected).

[3:26]
Building the Secret PC Begins

Linus starts building the water-cooled PC for the secret order. He installs a GPU water block, motherboard, and radiator, but encounters screw compatibility issues (M3 vs 6-32).

[8:35]
Team's Nervousness and Spy Intervention

By 3 PM, Linus hasn't started the secret build. The team sends a Mandarin-speaking fan to place the order, but the fan takes 10 minutes inside, causing anxiety. Eventually, the message is delivered.

[12:55]
Crisis: Boss Builds the PC Instead

The team discovers the boss is building the secret PC, not Linus. A second spy is sent to clarify, but the boss gets confused. Linus almost notices, but the team diverts him with a gift bag.

[14:26]
Linus Takes a Bathroom Break

Linus asks to go to the bathroom, allowing the team to clear up the confusion with the boss. Crisis averted; the secret order is back on track.

[15:00]
Rush Order and Cable Management

Linus works on a rush AIO system for a customer due at 8 PM. He also does cable management for another customer, earning a B+ grade. He struggles with a crooked screen and broken clip.

[17:56]
Windows 10 Driver Issue

The secret PC has no Windows 10 drivers for Wi-Fi 7, so Linus installs Windows 11 fresh. The GPU is not detected, possibly due to a riser cable issue.

[20:55]
Reveal and Giveaway

A customer arrives to pick up the secret PC. Linus realizes it's for him to give away. He finishes the build (hardline tubing) and later gives the PC to a student who wants to run AI models and start a medical startup.

[23:55]
Final Grade and Resignation

The boss gives Linus an A+ grade. Linus 'resigns' because he's busy giving away the other PC. The video ends with the giveaway and a discussion about the mall's future.

Linus successfully completes a full shift at a Taipei tech mall, building a high-end PC for a secret giveaway while handling real customer repairs. The video highlights the challenges of working in a tech shop and ends with a happy winner.

[00:00] Here I am in Taipei again, which means

[00:02] it's time to head to the tech mall,

[00:04] where 2 years ago I pretended to be a

[00:05] regular customer and bought a $5,000 PC

[00:08] to give away. And where last year I had

[00:10] three shops compete to design the best

[00:12] $12,000 PC. I gave that away, too. But

[00:15] this time's different. This time I'm

[00:17] here to work.

[00:18] >> Hello.

[00:19] >> [laughter]

[00:19] >> All right, boss.

[00:21] What can I do for you?

[00:23] >> How about you help me to build this

[00:25] thing over here?

[00:26] >> Oh.

[00:27] >> water block?

[00:27] >> Immediately right into a water-cooled

[00:29] system. All right, brilliant. I was

[00:31] going to tell him, "Don't go easy on

[00:32] me." And I can see that was not ever

[00:35] going to be part of the plan. Oh,

[00:36] there's customers already. I need like a

[00:38] training badge or something.

[00:40] >> Yeah, I was looking into a new like

[00:42] Excuse me, hi.

[00:44] >> Linus knows he'll be working a full

[00:46] regular shift at the mall, 1:00 p.m. to

[00:48] 9:00 p.m., doing everything the shop

[00:51] normally does, troubleshooting,

[00:52] building, and repairing computers. But

[00:55] what he doesn't know is that one of the

[00:57] customers is himself. I'm secretly

[01:00] placing a rush order that must be done

[01:02] today. Why? Because it wouldn't really

[01:04] be a tech mall video if we didn't give

[01:07] away a system, would it? I'll be popping

[01:09] in the video periodically to give you

[01:11] guys updates on how it's going on that

[01:13] end because, well,

[01:15] he has no idea. Bye-bye.

[01:18] >> So two of these and one of those is 4110

[01:21] in TD.

[01:21] >> TL140 Reverb in white, right?

[01:25] >> Oh, white? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry,

[01:27] white.

[01:29] In white, yes.

[01:30] >> Okay.

[01:31] >> Okay, just snap a picture so you know

[01:32] the price.

[01:33] Okay, brilliant. Okay.

[01:35] >> I really want these ones, so

[01:37] I was also trying to look for something

[01:39] like this. Can you

[01:42] >> Look at that, a Segway.

[01:44] To our sponsor.

[01:45] All right, get out of here.

[02:40] for? Click on the link in the

[02:41] description to browse all that we've got

[02:42] on sale before it's too late.

[02:45] >> Sorry, I'm new here. I'm looking to get

[02:47] a new motherboard or a CPU because my

[02:49] build right now, like after I let it sit

[02:51] there and I try to open Windows or try

[02:53] to open Chrome, it'll start becoming

[02:54] really laggy and I can't use it and I

[02:56] have to restart the whole PC.

[02:57] >> So, what I would do before you upgrade

[03:00] anything,

[03:01] maybe I'm a bad employee,

[03:03] is update your BIOS.

[03:05] And then, if that doesn't help, then

[03:07] what I would probably do is go in and

[03:09] turn off any power saving. But, if

[03:11] you're not comfortable doing that, uh do

[03:13] we fix computers?

[03:15] Yeah, we then we also fix computers.

[03:17] Okay.

[03:18] >> do the wiring cuz my wiring's kind of

[03:19] messed up?

[03:20] >> Hey boss, do we do cable management?

[03:22] >> Of course.

[03:22] >> Okay, I'll I'll bring my PC back here.

[03:24] >> Okay.

[03:25] >> Yeah, thank you.

[03:26] >> This is Dude, this

[03:28] this is crazy. There's already a lineup.

[03:30] >> So, when the last time you do the water

[03:32] block?

[03:32] >> Oh, like maybe a few months ago.

[03:34] >> I thought it was about 13 years.

[03:36] >> No, no, no, no. No, it was 13 years

[03:38] since my first day on a new job. Yeah.

[03:40] No, no, no, I know I know how to water

[03:42] cool. It's okay. Gaming chairs, they're

[03:44] uh they're they're bulky. Never taken

[03:46] apart this card before. Big Sky, do they

[03:48] include new thermal pads or do I need

[03:52] >> Yes, they do.

[03:52] >> Yeah, they do? Okay, so I'm going to put

[03:54] all these back on here then, okay?

[03:56] >> Yep.

[03:56] >> Is that what you normally do?

[03:57] >> Yep.

[03:58] >> Yeah, okay, perfect. Oh yeah, no, I know

[03:59] that because I reviewed your system.

[04:01] Yeah, okay. I'm going to put this on, so

[04:03] hopefully people are patient with me.

[04:05] >> Uh I got a text that my customer's a

[04:07] graphic card is back, so if it's okay

[04:09] that you

[04:10] be here in yourself about half hour?

[04:12] >> What?

[04:12] >> Be strong.

[04:13] >> Okay.

[04:15] >> I've been [clears throat] trained for 15

[04:16] minutes.

[04:17] >> The stock backplate had a pad for the

[04:18] 12-volt connector, but Vic's key didn't

[04:20] include any pads that are the right size

[04:22] to reach theirs, so I stacked up three.

[04:26] Better than nothing.

[04:27] However, I don't like that I can see

[04:29] that.

[04:30] Should I answer the phone?

[04:32] Oh, too late. Add employee. Oh, oh yeah,

[04:35] oh the phone was ringing. Okay, I've

[04:37] done my first job. I put a thermal pad

[04:39] here. I It's a little bit ugly, but the

[04:42] stock backplate had a thermal pad there.

[04:44] >> It's fine, it will stand straight, so

[04:46] you won't see it.

[04:46] >> See, I knew he wouldn't want to see it.

[04:48] >> [laughter]

[04:49] >> Okay, I can try put it in the system, I

[04:51] think.

[04:52] >> Sure. Is this a new build?

[04:53] >> Yep.

[04:54] >> Can I get the RAM?

[04:56] >> Oh, the most interesting thing.

[04:58] >> Sorry, what am I looking at? Dude,

[05:00] bougie RAM is on a whole other level

[05:03] now.

[05:04] >> The triple fan on the RAM, too.

[05:06] >> Yeah, wow. All right, time to assemble

[05:09] my RAM.

[05:12] >> So, this is my PC.

[05:13] >> I'll see if I can figure out the

[05:14] throttling issue, and then if it's not

[05:16] solved, then we'll message you and let

[05:18] you know.

[05:18] >> Yeah, okay.

[05:19] >> Okay.

[05:19] >> Thank you.

[05:20] >> Am I doing it okay?

[05:21] >> Yeah, well, this is my first time to see

[05:23] this RAM, too.

[05:24] >> Oh, okay. [laughter]

[05:25] >> A little bit too high, isn't it?

[05:27] >> I mean, I guess we'll find out.

[05:30] >> [laughter]

[05:30] >> And then this one is just no post, not

[05:32] working?

[05:32] >> Yes.

[05:33] >> Okay, we will respond to you once we can

[05:36] have a look.

[05:37] Okay, there are many factors of, you

[05:40] know, actually working in a tech shop

[05:42] that I have not thought about. How do we

[05:44] keep track of like the priority

[05:46] sequence?

[05:47] Now, at this point, I'm trying to put my

[05:49] order in without getting caught. So, it

[05:52] can't come from a Canadian number, and

[05:54] ideally it's in Chinese. So, we reached

[05:56] out to some local legends. Shout out

[05:58] Caleb for sliding into the DMs. But, I'm

[06:00] just praying that our order is not too

[06:03] far back in the queue for us to get

[06:04] serviced.

[06:05] >> I think at least that ROG one, I don't

[06:07] think there's anything wrong with it cuz

[06:08] they the 24-pin is out.

[06:10] >> Uh-huh.

[06:11] >> So, what Why is it not working? I don't

[06:13] know. Maybe cuz not plugged in.

[06:14] >> Yeah.

[06:16] >> Well, we'll see.

[06:17] >> What can I do for you, sir?

[06:18] >> I would like one full plain exclusive

[06:19] for this video.

[06:20] >> Oh, I'm I'm sure there's going to be at

[06:22] least one with all the stuff we're doing

[06:23] today.

[06:25] >> [snorts]

[06:25] >> lmg.gg/blueplain

[06:28] Oh hi.

[06:28] >> I'm back.

[06:29] >> Oh, hi. What can I do for you? I I

[06:31] forget.

[06:31] >> Do some cable management.

[06:33] >> You want to do cable management?

[06:34] >> cuz it's it's actually really messy in

[06:36] there.

[06:36] >> Yeah.

[06:37] >> Yeah.

[06:37] >> You sound tired.

[06:39] >> It's pretty heavy.

[06:39] >> Did you run the whole way or?

[06:40] >> No, it's just pretty heavy.

[06:41] >> Oh, okay. Got it. Oh, you still have the

[06:43] peel on the back of your motherboard.

[06:44] Did you build this yourself?

[06:45] >> Oh, yeah.

[06:47] >> I haven't seen how bad the cable

[06:48] management is yet, man.

[06:49] >> It's pretty horrible. To make the color

[06:51] look like all the same.

[06:53] >> Oh, oh good. RGB software config.

[06:56] >> We got Gigabyte's uh we got Armory

[06:59] Crate, and even the AIO is a different

[07:02] for that. It's just everywhere.

[07:04] >> Oh, good.

[07:06] >> So, what's the problem with this one?

[07:07] >> I'd say maybe he just doesn't have Expo

[07:09] enabled, and so it's just a little bit

[07:10] slow right now.

[07:11] >> This RAM very slow.

[07:13] >> Oh, okay. So, he's not making this one

[07:16] up. Expo's enabled, too. What? 5600

[07:18] CL46?

[07:19] >> Well, that's way too slow. That's an

[07:21] Expo profile?

[07:22] >> CPU's temperature looks fine. It's only

[07:25] Yeah 30°.

[07:26] >> Maybe BIOS flash, and we go from there?

[07:27] >> Yep.

[07:28] >> That is slow ass memory. This is cool.

[07:31] It's like a triple fan thing. Is this

[07:33] from Jonsbo?

[07:34] >> Yep.

[07:34] >> Man, that's awesome. Busy day so far.

[07:37] I've got my GPU water block installed.

[07:39] I've I've my motherboard and water

[07:41] cooling installed. I've got my first

[07:43] radiator set up with fans. We ran into a

[07:45] small problem where the rad screws are

[07:47] M3, which is correct, obviously, but

[07:49] they're too short for these fans. And

[07:51] these fans come with screws that are the

[07:53] right length, but they're 6-32. So,

[07:56] the boss said, "Hey, I can go get other

[07:58] screws, but I'll be gone for half an

[07:59] hour." I was like, "No, not again." So,

[08:01] I figured out how to get the 6-32 screws

[08:04] in the M3 holes.

[08:07] Okay. Any screw is a self-tapper if you

[08:09] try hard enough.

[08:10] >> How does the boss feel about that?

[08:12] >> Uh

[08:13] >> Would you allow that?

[08:14] >> Well, it works.

[08:16] >> [laughter]

[08:17] >> Hey, boss. Yeah, I think maybe we will

[08:19] take the fan off. That's a good idea.

[08:21] So, new BIOS on here. This seems

[08:24] >> Well, the RAM is still slow.

[08:26] >> I well

[08:26] >> [laughter]

[08:27] >> We can see here, CPU usage 99% 4.83 GHz.

[08:31] Right in line with what we would expect.

[08:33] We're making money. Let's go.

[08:35] >> You may have noticed that Linus hasn't

[08:37] started building our PC yet. And given

[08:39] it's 3:00 p.m., we're starting to get

[08:41] nervous. So, we asked a

[08:42] Mandarin-speaking fan to go in and tell

[08:45] the shopkeeper about our special order

[08:47] and make sure Linus finishes it in time.

[08:50] But then the guy just didn't come out.

[08:52] So, now I'm literally sweating. He's

[08:54] been there 10 minutes.

[08:56] >> But eventually, he emerged. Our man got

[08:58] it done.

[08:59] Message received.

[09:02] Uh boss texts us about this, so he just

[09:04] sent you an update with the frequencies

[09:06] running it over 4 GHz now. Honestly, I

[09:08] could not explain to you why it was in

[09:11] that state. It's running as we would

[09:13] expect now. So, just simple BIOS update

[09:15] and like it's

[09:16] it's responsive now. Feel like I'm

[09:18] playing PC Building Simulator in real

[09:20] life. Enjoy your fixed system.

[09:22] >> Thank you.

[09:23] >> See you later.

[09:23] >> See you.

[09:23] >> Okay. Two for you, two for me, right?

[09:26] >> Okay.

[09:26] >> No, I can't No, [laughter] no, no.

[09:28] He has more water cooling stuff than I

[09:29] do. There's so many blocks.

[09:31] But I think this one's not actually

[09:33] broken. He says no post, but his 24-pin

[09:36] is not connected. I think we found part

[09:39] of your problem right there, sir. It's

[09:41] like on the one hand it's so high-end,

[09:43] but he has like 250 US dollars worth of

[09:46] Noctua fans in here.

[09:48] >> And then like this water blocks.

[09:50] >> This and random random screws.

[09:53] >> I guess I'll try this one.

[09:55] >> Oh, okay. We're trying to figure out if

[09:56] we can get this triple in here. It's

[09:58] pretty tight. Oh, dude, we got it. Right

[10:00] there, we're in.

[10:03] >> [laughter]

[10:03] >> That's tight. It works. Unlike buddy's

[10:06] motherboard over here.

[10:07] >> Yeah, I even put a new power supply on

[10:10] and still doesn't work. Maybe the

[10:12] motherboard [music] is dead.

[10:13] >> Well, we can send him an update then, at

[10:16] least. Hey, your motherboard's dead. Do

[10:17] you want to deal with ASUS for RMA or do

[10:19] you want to buy a new board? That's

[10:20] that's the customer's choice. We offer

[10:22] the customer choice here, okay? At

[10:25] Well, yeah, what's our store called? I

[10:27] don't remember.

[10:27] >> IKYPC. [music]

[10:28] >> Yeah, IKYPC. I'm trying to come up with

[10:30] something like what's IKYPC stand for.

[10:33] The first thing that popped into my mind

[10:34] is like I kill your PC. Probably that's

[10:36] not what it stands for.

[10:38] >> [laughter]

[10:38] >> Right? No, that's not it, right?

[10:39] >> No, it's not.

[10:40] >> This is the customer who asked for cable

[10:42] management help. Honestly, it's not the

[10:44] worst thing I've ever seen. He says

[10:46] sometimes the system shuts down when he

[10:47] bumps it. So, probably some loose

[10:49] connection here somewhere. The radiator

[10:51] is supposed to go here.

[10:54] He's He's got it on the other side.

[10:56] Also, he has two different RGB hubs in

[11:00] here.

[11:00] >> This looks like you have to tear it all

[11:02] apart.

[11:03] >> [laughter]

[11:04] >> Bad news, boss.

[11:06] One out of eight screws

[11:09] snapped off in it.

[11:10] >> You can change it new one. So, that's

[11:12] okay.

[11:12] >> I will be as careful as I can. It worked

[11:15] on the first one and I got three of

[11:16] these.

[11:17] >> We have 20 more after you if you can

[11:19] break it all.

[11:21] >> [laughter]

[11:24] >> You're leaving again?

[11:25] >> Yep. Half hour.

[11:27] Be tough.

[11:29] >> [laughter]

[11:33] >> Dude, I should have this in the first

[11:35] place. Doesn't look factory, but like

[11:37] would you notice?

[11:38] >> Even from 12 in away? No.

[11:40] >> Cool. The question now is what's the

[11:42] bigger risk? Trying to do this three

[11:44] more times or trying to drive these

[11:48] not the right thread screws in three

[11:50] more times. Trying to drive the screws

[11:52] again is definitely faster, so I think

[11:54] we're going to do that. Please work.

[11:56] Please do not snap off.

[11:59] Okay, one down, two to go.

[12:02] I found another problem. I was all

[12:03] excited. I got the screws driven into

[12:05] this stupid thing. Stupid that has to go

[12:08] into this as well. Out comes the

[12:10] radiator, on goes the pump mounting

[12:11] bracket. Do you think he did this on

[12:13] purpose?

[12:14] So that I would have such a challenging

[12:16] build on my first day. This is actually

[12:17] like legitimately not easy. So you have

[12:19] a new problem.

[12:20] The screw is not long enough now to go

[12:23] through here.

[12:23] >> Uh-huh.

[12:24] >> But that's okay. New plan.

[12:26] I'm just going to put it like here.

[12:28] And we'll make four holes. Okay.

[12:30] >> Okay.

[12:30] >> We can try it.

[12:31] >> Okay.

[12:32] >> Screw the hole.

[12:33] >> Yeah.

[12:37] All right. We didn't break it. It's

[12:39] coming together, right? Yep. There's a

[12:41] plan. Tell me something.

[12:43] Did you do this on purpose? Like save a

[12:46] quite challenging build for me to do

[12:47] today? Or

[12:48] >> Well, actually I was doing this this

[12:51] week so

[12:52] >> It's definitely a challenging one.

[12:55] In video production, there are sometimes

[12:57] problems that you can't even conceive

[12:59] of. For example, our PC is being built,

[13:04] but it's being built by the boss. Look,

[13:05] he's even got the RAM in there already.

[13:07] Not Linus. And that's a problem. So we

[13:10] found a second spy to go in and clarify

[13:14] what we're actually after. And this is

[13:17] where the plot almost completely blows

[13:19] up. The boss was confused. He kept

[13:21] trying to switch to English, and Linus

[13:23] started to pay attention to what was

[13:25] happening. So I had to think fast.

[13:27] >> You can ask him. Hello?

[13:30] >> I accept.

[13:31] >> You accept. Go. Thank you.

[13:34] >> Thanks, man.

[13:35] Um

[13:36] >> He basically like taking a picture of

[13:37] you.

[13:38] >> I pointed at the gift bag that the guy

[13:39] was holding and was like, "Oh, you have

[13:42] a gift? I can accept that. Let's go talk

[13:44] outside."

[13:45] >> Okay.

[13:46] >> Are we good?

[13:48] >> No.

[13:48] >> No.

[13:48] >> Uh-huh.

[13:49] >> The boss didn't understand. He thought

[13:51] he was telling him to call off the whole

[13:53] thing.

[13:54] >> Still alive, but we haven't solved the

[13:56] problem. So, now what are we going to

[13:58] do?

[13:59] >> We got a problem, boss. This back plate

[14:02] is so tall. Maybe we use a Dremel.

[14:05] >> Oh, maybe we can we can make [music] the

[14:07] GPU straight.

[14:08] >> Oh, you want like a vertical mount?

[14:09] >> Yeah.

[14:12] >> Last resort, we write a note for the

[14:14] boss and I gave it to Shawn Eberle on

[14:16] the biz team to hand to the guy.

[14:18] >> All right, we'll get another one. Okay.

[14:22] >> Okay,

[14:23] I'll take a break.

[14:25] Yeah, I might run to the washroom.

[14:26] >> And then mercifully, like mana from

[14:28] heaven, Linus asked to go to the

[14:30] bathroom. Yes!

[14:33] Yes! So, he was gone. We cleared

[14:35] everything up with the boss.

[14:37] Crisis averted. We're good to go.

[14:41] Oh sh

[14:42] >> I I'm going to need one that has the

[14:44] actual riser cable so I can keep going.

[14:47] Do we have that?

[14:47] >> Uh I ordered a new one, so considering

[14:50] we're waiting that thing.

[14:51] >> Okay.

[14:52] >> This customer wanted get his PC about

[14:54] 8:00.

[14:57] But it's emergency, so.

[14:59] >> In 2 hours?

[15:00] >> Yeah.

[15:01] >> Well, we can

[15:01] >> Well, I built it half already.

[15:03] >> It's not water cooled, [music] right?

[15:04] >> Well, it's AIO.

[15:06] >> Okay.

[15:07] >> [laughter]

[15:08] >> So, maybe you can help me.

[15:10] >> Okay, yeah, I can do that.

[15:11] >> Okay.

[15:11] >> Ready. Realistically, I want to get this

[15:13] done even [music] sooner

[15:16] than

[15:17] the customer is asking because I really

[15:19] need to get back to [music] that other

[15:20] system. I want to finish that system

[15:22] today. I do not want to leave that

[15:25] unfulfilled.

[15:27] What a day.

[15:28] I'm tired, boss. You know, just just a

[15:31] simple assignment. Put in the AIO, put

[15:33] in the GPU.

[15:34] >> I know this is going to take a picture.

[15:35] >> Uh sorry, I'm not doing pictures today.

[15:37] I'm working.

[15:39] You can snap a picture [music] from out

[15:40] there if you want though.

[15:41] But uh the boss has got me building

[15:43] systems.

[15:44] >> He says no break.

[15:46] >> You can. I didn't say that. He said it

[15:48] with his eyes. Cable management

[15:50] Okay.

[15:51] >> B+ today.

[15:52] >> B+. Oh, B+ to A. Okay, GPU mount done.

[15:57] Not going anywhere.

[15:59] >> That looks all right. That looks okay.

[16:01] [laughter]

[16:01] >> Listen, if you want a good cable

[16:02] management job, you don't ask for a rush

[16:04] order right?

[16:06] Right boss?

[16:07] Yep. Yep.

[16:09] >> [laughter]

[16:10] >> Look at him. He's in on the joke. He

[16:12] loves it. Okay.

[16:14] I think we're good. We make sure it

[16:15] works.

[16:16] >> [laughter]

[16:17] >> Probably not a terrible idea.

[16:18] >> no cable line over

[16:19] >> Oh, I got one here. Oops. Okay, I'm on

[16:21] it. I'm on it, boss. New CPUs installed.

[16:25] Uh total RAM 32 gigs. Let's get in the

[16:28] BIOS here. How's the rebuild going on

[16:30] that poor guy's system?

[16:32] >> Well, I'm still

[16:34] cable managing.

[16:35] >> I now maybe I'll grade your cable

[16:36] management.

[16:38] >> [laughter]

[16:38] >> It's C.

[16:39] >> Well, it's not finished yet.

[16:40] >> C.

[16:41] There's a storm outside.

[16:43] Oh my goodness.

[16:46] By the way, there was one thing I

[16:47] couldn't figure out on this one. Like

[16:48] this screen, is it just like glued in?

[16:50] It's so crooked.

[16:51] >> Well,

[16:53] well, it's sticky here, so maybe

[16:55] >> crying out loud. He just

[16:57] >> Yeah, you just stick it in.

[16:59] >> It's definitely, you know, it's better

[17:00] now. Also, I noticed his clip for his

[17:03] 12-volt 2x6 is broken. Oh, wait. Oh, no,

[17:06] I I bent it a little. Now I think Okay,

[17:08] it's working now. Okay, good. We don't

[17:09] want that to burn up. Not that I kill

[17:11] your PC.

[17:12] >> [laughter]

[17:13] >> Should we take the peels off? It'll look

[17:15] nicer.

[17:17] Oh no.

[17:19] Got the technique, bottom-up technique.

[17:21] No.

[17:23] My lunch is here, but the boss says I

[17:24] have to finish this system.

[17:26] >> No, I didn't say that. I didn't say

[17:27] that.

[17:28] >> She She says you finish the system, then

[17:29] you eat.

[17:30] >> Okay, yes. Yes, sir.

[17:31] >> I didn't.

[17:32] Really?

[17:33] >> What?

[17:33] >> Your face.

[17:34] >> What the

[17:35] What the

[17:36] >> [laughter]

[17:36] >> What the heck?

[17:39] Are we Did we get trolled on this or

[17:41] what?

[17:41] >> Okay.

[17:42] >> I take it back. It's not the worst PC

[17:44] ever made.

[17:45] >> [laughter]

[17:45] >> It looks a lot better now that the cable

[17:47] management doesn't suck.

[17:48] >> Oh, man. I just really wish this wasn't

[17:50] crooked.

[17:50] >> [laughter]

[17:51] >> I mean, the thing is pure post

[17:53] anyway, so it might as well be

[17:55] posted crooked.

[17:56] >> We ran into a challenge.

[17:58] >> There's no Windows 10 drivers for the

[18:00] Wi-Fi 7 network card that's on here.

[18:03] >> We have to put Windows 11 on it. I think

[18:04] we're just going to have to install

[18:05] fresh.

[18:06] >> No GPU detected.

[18:08] >> Yep.

[18:09] >> So, maybe the riser is not detected or

[18:12] it's not plugged in properly.

[18:14] >> I didn't do that.

[18:16] The boss did that.

[18:19] >> Although, it is technically [music]

[18:21] possible that while I was installing the

[18:24] vertical mount that I disrupted it.

[18:27] >> So, it could have been anyone.

[18:28] >> Probably James.

[18:31] >> What the

[18:32] >> I don't think all the hardline water

[18:33] cooling is happening between now and the

[18:35] end of my shift, which is uh

[18:37] in 1 hour. But, I can at least get it as

[18:40] prepped as possible.

[18:42] >> Oh, is it up?

[18:43] >> Yep.

[18:44] >> Hey, let's go.

[18:45] >> Oh. Hello?

[18:46] >> Oh, you said I can come back and get my

[18:48] PC.

[18:48] >> Oh. Yes.

[18:50] So, the wiring's all fixed. There's not

[18:52] really much we can do about your RGB

[18:53] software because you went and you bought

[18:55] RGB things from like every different

[18:57] >> Yeah.

[18:57] >> manufacturer.

[18:58] >> Cuz I I went online. I see this one

[19:00] looked cool, that one looked cool. So, I

[19:01] just ordered every single one of them.

[19:03] Oh, I see lots of faces.

[19:04] >> Yep. Well, yeah. That Well, you put that

[19:06] there.

[19:07] That's your fault.

[19:09] >> Oh, this is this is so much more

[19:10] beautiful.

[19:12] >> That's That's what that's what we do at

[19:13] I C Y P C.

[19:15] >> Oh, this looks nice.

[19:16] >> Or I K, something.

[19:17] >> C.

[19:17] >> I K Y P C. Uh also, we we could not

[19:20] straighten this screen because you used

[19:22] permanent tape.

[19:23] >> Sonder.

[19:24] >> You used VHB tape.

[19:25] >> Yeah, cuz there was the stand thing, but

[19:28] it wouldn't go on on there.

[19:29] >> Right. So, you just you put VHB on there

[19:31] and put it on.

[19:32] >> there.

[19:32] >> Yeah, forever. You can see the back is

[19:34] like pretty tidy now, too. All the RGB

[19:36] hubs are all tucked down now.

[19:38] >> Oh, this looks so nice.

[19:39] >> Yeah.

[19:40] >> I'm on my way outside then.

[19:41] >> Okay.

[19:41] >> Oh, yeah. Sorry.

[19:43] >> Do you even want a tech tip?

[19:44] >> Uh

[19:45] I I I never mind tech tips. I like tech

[19:47] tips.

[19:47] >> I'll get you a tip if you like. Tip.

[19:49] >> Oh, no. No. No. I don't need a tip. Oh,

[19:50] no. No. I'm good. Thank you. Not not not

[19:52] that kind of tip. I'm good.

[19:53] >> Here you go.

[19:53] >> Okay, thanks.

[19:55] >> Man, it's been a while since I've done

[19:56] any hardline tubing. Now, I normally use

[19:59] a little band saw to cut it. What do you

[20:01] have?

[20:02] Oh.

[20:03] Oh. Okay.

[20:04] >> What could go wrong?

[20:05] >> That's why my finger is like this.

[20:13] >> Okay. It has been a while.

[20:16] Hopefully, I remember how to do this.

[20:20] >> Yeah, I just use my hands.

[20:22] >> I know. I I know. I remember that from

[20:24] last time. Those U bends though.

[20:28] >> Yeah, pretty good.

[20:29] Yeah, I'd give you an I'll give you A.

[20:31] >> A.

[20:33] >> Big moment.

[20:34] Test fitting the first tube. Hey.

[20:36] >> Did I mess up?

[20:37] >> Wait. What what what what what what's

[20:38] that supposed to mean? There we go.

[20:40] Actually, you know what? That's better

[20:41] than I thought that was going to go,

[20:42] too. We might make more progress than I

[20:44] thought here.

[20:45] How's this doing? All right. That son of

[20:46] a did it. Now, we just need to

[20:48] find the perfect person to help with the

[20:50] reveal.

[20:55] I mean, it's [music] coming together

[20:57] like

[20:58] really well. The first

[21:00] The first two runs have gone great.

[21:01] >> Sorry, I'm an hour late.

[21:03] >> My bad.

[21:03] >> You're an hour late for what?

[21:05] >> Yeah. Uh I'm here to pick up a computer.

[21:07] I was supposed to be here like 8.

[21:08] >> Wait, is this for you?

[21:10] Oh, we do actually have a computer

[21:12] that's due at 8.

[21:13] >> Is it Is this

[21:13] >> this for you?

[21:14] >> That looks like what we ordered.

[21:15] >> You ordered a system? You got to be

[21:17] kidding me. Did Sammy put you up to

[21:18] this?

[21:19] >> [laughter]

[21:20] >> Uh wait, sorry. I'm a little confused.

[21:23] >> This is yours

[21:24] for I don't know, 12 hours or something,

[21:26] and then you're going to give it away

[21:27] tomorrow.

[21:29] >> Oh.

[21:31] Well, I'm glad I did a good job of

[21:33] building it.

[21:34] >> How else were you going to have a

[21:34] computer to give away?

[21:36] >> Oh, you've

[21:37] >> Hey, by the way, that still needs to be

[21:38] paid for.

[21:39] >> So, everyone knew this but me?

[21:41] >> I think even some of the people waiting

[21:43] do.

[21:44] >> [laughter]

[21:45] >> I see how it is.

[21:46] Okay, well, it's all set up now, sir.

[21:50] Me.

[21:50] >> As long as it benchmarks well, I think

[21:51] we'll be a happy customer.

[21:52] >> You're taking my hardline tubing table,

[21:54] Luke.

[21:54] >> What were you tubing?

[21:55] >> Uh the one behind you.

[21:56] >> Oh.

[21:57] >> Being caught guard off

[21:59] Being caught guard on this is fine in

[22:01] terms of I don't mind giving away a PC,

[22:03] but I didn't like let my bank know. Like

[22:05] I actually don't know if I have the

[22:06] means to pay for this right now. All

[22:07] right, James's company card works, so I

[22:09] guess we're good to go. Wait.

[22:13] Oh sorry.

[22:14] >> It's okay.

[22:14] I put the saw there cuz I didn't think

[22:16] we were going to be moving around that

[22:18] much.

[22:21] >> [laughter]

[22:22] >> Okay. All right. All right. Geez, these

[22:25] guys trolling me here. All right, well,

[22:28] here you guys go. Um

[22:31] >> Order fulfilled.

[22:31] >> I still have a system to finish.

[22:34] >> Good luck.

[22:34] >> We got three more runs.

[22:37] >> Yeah, but unfortunately, the market

[22:40] doesn't let us work that

[22:42] late.

[22:44] >> So,

[22:45] Wait, what do you Oh, you mean like we

[22:47] have to leave the mall?

[22:48] >> Yeah.

[22:49] >> Okay, we're finishing this PC.

[22:51] The mall's going to have to kick us out.

[22:53] That was a cool little technique, by the

[22:54] way. I I like that, using the tiles to

[22:57] get your 90. Actually,

[22:59] that's pretty damn good.

[23:01] >> [laughter]

[23:02] >> Dude, I did that by hand. Now I just

[23:04] have to make sure I don't cut it the

[23:05] wrong way.

[23:06] >> Shutting us down. Shutting us down,

[23:08] Glenn.

[23:09] >> Did they turn off the lights? No, we're

[23:10] so close. We're so close. One more. The

[23:13] boss just finished this 90. I just got

[23:14] to do one more 90. Just got to crank it.

[23:17] Crank a 90.

[23:18] >> Oh, yeah.

[23:20] >> Yep.

[23:21] >> Looks great.

[23:21] >> Looks good.

[23:22] You know what? I do think I'm an A

[23:24] employee.

[23:26] >> All right. I'll be A plus.

[23:27] >> Let's fill it. There she goes.

[23:30] >> Oh, great.

[23:32] >> Dude, this looks flipping gorgeous.

[23:37] Up to standard, right?

[23:38] >> Yep.

[23:38] >> That is a sick

[23:41] looking system.

[23:43] What do you think, boss? Have I got what

[23:44] it takes to work in a tech shop?

[23:46] >> Of course.

[23:46] >> You would hire me?

[23:47] >> Yes, of course.

[23:49] >> All right. So, what would you grade me

[23:51] after 1 day as your employee?

[23:53] >> I'll give him a

[23:55] >> [music]

[23:55] >> A plus.

[23:55] >> A plus?

[23:57] >> Yeah.

[23:57] >> That's the best grade he's given me all

[23:58] day.

[23:59] >> [laughter]

[24:00] >> Yeah.

[24:00] >> Unfortunately, I'm sorry.

[24:03] But,

[24:04] I have to resign because I'm quite busy

[24:06] tomorrow giving away the other PC.

[24:09] >> Okay.

[24:10] >> So, good luck, guys. Hey, you know if

[24:13] you need a high-end system built, all

[24:15] you got to do is go to IKY PC. Thank you

[24:17] so much for letting us come hang out

[24:19] with you today. This was

[24:21] >> for helping me

[24:22] >> a full day. This was so much fun. Now,

[24:26] let's go give away that other system

[24:27] that made it so that I had to work

[24:29] overtime to get the main one done. Way

[24:32] to go, James.

[24:33] >> What?

[24:35] >> I have a feeling people are going to be

[24:36] like waiting for us this time, which was

[24:38] a big part of why I had decided we

[24:40] weren't going to do a giveaway this

[24:41] year.

[24:42] >> It's the same spot.

[24:44] >> Yeah.

[24:44] >> If you do it again next year, you got to

[24:46] change the spot up.

[24:47] >> I'm not I'm not going to do it again

[24:48] next year.

[24:50] >> No.

[24:52] No shot.

[24:52] >> Upgrade.

[24:53] >> No shot. Actually, it's a downgrade.

[24:56] >> Kind of hard to beat the actual thing, I

[24:57] guess.

[25:00] >> This guy

[25:02] he turns around and like

[25:03] >> runs

[25:04] >> charges into a direction. Dude, [music]

[25:05] I think it's going to be really quick

[25:07] this year.

[25:08] >> [laughter]

[25:09] >> Okay,

[25:51] >> Yeah. I thought that it was going to be

[25:53] a

[25:54] first one to like the second one or

[25:55] third one, not the first one.

[25:57] >> Oh, that would have been smart.

[25:59] >> Congratulations.

[26:00] >> [music]

[26:01] >> You just won a brand new PC with an RTX

[26:12] it,

[26:19] that you were working on the store.
