World of Warcraft Forever's beta has introduced significant changes to gold making, including over 600 new profession recipes, a new camping system, and altered gathering locations. The creator shares initial impressions and outlines plans to update their add-ons for the new expansion.
The beta went live yesterday; the creator spent about two hours playing, including an Orc Warrior and a Skyborn Druid, and immediately tested their add-ons (Worth It and Worth It Guide) in the beta.
Blizzard confirmed over 600 new profession recipes across all professions and level ranges, indicating professions will be relevant throughout leveling, not just at max level.
Camping expands on cooking fires; players can create campsites where different professions contribute objects providing benefits like workspaces, repairs, and vendors. First objects learned around skill 20, advanced blueprints from dungeon bosses.
Crafted food provides standard buffs, but some food also grants a small experience bonus, potentially increasing demand for cooking items during leveling.
The legacy system includes talents like Bountiful Harvest, which increases gathering yields (mining, herbalism, skinning), similar to retail. Legacy points are account-wide, allowing specialization across characters.
Gathering node locations appear different in the beta; existing routes will need auditing and rebuilding. The creator plans to collect data during beta to prepare for launch.
Worth It and Worth It Guide load in the beta but have errors; API calls, item IDs, map/zone/profession data need verification and updates. Pricing data via TradeSkillMaster/Auctionator is currently unverified.
The expansion introduces new recipes, campsite items, dungeon blueprints, cooking changes, legacy bonuses, and altered gathering routes, creating a fresh economy to explore.
After ~2-3 hours, the creator enjoys Forever; the Skyborn Druid levels faster than the Orc, and the enhanced graphics option looks brilliant (personal preference).
World of Warcraft Forever presents a wealth of new gold-making opportunities and a fresh economy to figure out, making it an exciting prospect for the creator and their audience.

08:52[00:00] So World of Warcraft Forever might have just completely changed gold making. Now, the beta went live yesterday and I've spent about two hours this morning actually playing around with it. I've done roughly an hour on an Orc Warrior.
[00:13] I've also been playing one of the new Skyborn as a Druid. I've picked up professions, I've been gathering and obviously, because it's me, I also immediately threw Worth It and Worth It Guide into the beta just to see what would happen.
[00:30] And honestly, there is quite a lot to talk about here. Before we get into it though, obviously this is a beta. Things can change. Things probably will change in that sense.
[00:42] Some of what I'm talking about today is information Blizzard has already announced. Some of it is what is currently available inside the beta. And some of it is simply what I've personally experienced from playing it this morning.
[00:57] So bear that one in mind. But with that being said, let's talk about gold making in World of Warcraft Forever. Because the professions appear to be getting a lot more attention than I originally expected.
[01:11] Blizzard has confirmed that Forever is getting over 600 new profession recipes spread across the different professions and level ranges. And I think the level range part there is actually quite important.
[01:25] important. This isn't necessarily just a case of getting to level 60 and suddenly professions become useful. They're trying to put additional profession content throughout the leveling experience as well and that ties into another thing I've added which is camping. Camping basically
[01:42] expands upon the normal cooking fire. You can create a campsite and different professions are able to contribute different objects to that campsite. Those can provide different benefits
[01:54] profession workspaces, repairs, vendors and various other bits and pieces depending on what is actually placed there. The first profession campsite objects can be learned around profession skill 20
[02:08] and then there are more advanced blueprint recipes can actually come from dungeon bosses and that from a gold making perspective is immediately interesting because now professions aren't
[02:21] necessarily completely separate from the rest of the game. You've potentially got levelling, you've got gathering, you've got crafting, you've got dungeons, and you've also got the blueprint recipes. And all of those systems can potentially interact with one another. Kicking has also
[02:36] received some changes. Blizzard has confirmed that crafted food can provide the normal staff benefits, but some food can also provide a small experience bonus. Again, during the levelling
[02:49] process that's actually really interesting because if people actually want that experience bonus which I definitely will you've potentially created additional demand for cooking items
[03:01] while everybody is leveling Then you got the new legacy system one of the profession legacy talents Blizzard has specifically shown is called Bountiful Harvest and that increase is the amount of materials that you
[03:16] can gather through mining, herbalism and skinning, pretty much like on retail. So we're already looking at profession progression outside of simply raising your progression skill and because the legacy system is tied across your characters while individual characters can spend those
[03:32] points differently there's potentially some interesting stuff there later on with dedicated gathering characters or dedicated crafting characters but that is something we're obviously
[03:45] going to need to play around with properly as the beta develops and goes forward. Now let's get on to the gathering side of things because this is probably the bit that immediately caught my
[03:57] attention. On my Skyborne Druid this morning I picked up Herbism and Mining pretty much immediately and I've been gathering while I've been leveling. From what I've seen so far, the gathering locations appear to have changed. This also goes for my Orc Warrior as well.
[04:11] And I'll be honest, I'm not going to sit here after a couple of hours and tell you that every single mining node and every single herb node in the entire world has been moved because I haven't tested the entire bloody world, obviously.
[04:24] However, the locations I'm finding right now do appear different enough that I think we're going to need to go through the existing routes and essentially audit them and potentially rebuild quite a lot of them.
[04:37] And this is where Worth It Guys comes into the conversation because obviously Worth It Guys has a lot of gathering routes already. If Blizzard has changed the spawn locations, changed the density, changed where particular materials appear,
[04:50] or done anything else to the gathering system, then those routes are going to need new data. And honestly, that is what the beta is for. As I'm leveling characters, I'm able to gather.
[05:02] I'm able to look at where the nodes are. I'm able to collect information. I'm able to start rebuilding the data that we're actually going to need when Forever actually launches.
[05:14] So rather than getting to launch day and then suddenly going, right, now I need to work out where everything is. We can start doing that during the beta. Obviously, I also did something else.
[05:27] I took Worth It and Worth It guides and just put them into World of Warcraft Forever because I wanted to know what would happen. And surprisingly, they actually loaded. They're not completely working. There are a lot of errors.
[05:39] There are things that I'm going to need to fix. There are API calls that I'm going to need to check and or change. I've already seen things like text-related errors and various other little bits and pieces. I'm also going to need to verify item IDs.
[05:53] I'm going to need to verify map information, zone information, profession information. Basically all of the underlying data that Worth It and Worth It guys rely upon needs to be checked against forever.
[06:05] But the important thing is the add-ons aren't completely dead, they load. So it becomes a development job Go through the errors check what Blizzard has changed update any APIs that need updating check the databases check the items
[06:20] and then start putting the forever specific information into the add-ons. Worth It Guide is probably the easiest part to start tackling immediately because I can begin sorting the routes, maps, farms, and gathering data
[06:33] while I'm actually playing the beta and sorting out all of the additional guides inside of Worth It Guide. Worthit itself has one additional problem at the moment which is pricing data. Worthit normally relies heavily upon external auction house information in
[06:49] our case it's Tracefield Master and or Auctionator. Tracefield Master has traditionally been extremely important for that and as of me recording this video I can't properly verify how all of the pricing information is going to
[07:03] work in forever yet. ESM and Auctionator aren't currently in a state where I can install everything and definitely test the entire pricing system in the forever beta so I'm not going to pretend that that part is solved. It isn't at the end of the day. At some point once
[07:19] the supporting add-ons and services are updated and the data starts becoming available then I can test what's worth it is actually receiving. I can check the different price sources, I can check whether anything has changed and if anything needs adjusting for forever then I'll adjust it but
[07:37] that's a dependency that we don't control. What we do control is worth it and what we do control is worth it guys and what I can do right now is to start getting those add-ons ready. So over the course of the beta that's basically what I'm going to be doing. I'll be leveling,
[07:53] I'll be testing the professions, I'll be gathering, I'll be collecting root information, I'll be looking at farms and I'll be looking at the new items and recipes as we access them.
[08:06] And at the same time, I'll be slowly going through worth it and worth it guides, getting everything prepared for forever, and professions themselves are potentially going to create quite a few new gold making opportunities.
[08:19] We've got more than 600 new recipes, we've got professional-related campsite items, we've got advanced blueprints that can come from the dungeon bosses, we've got changes to cooking, we've also got legacy bonus effects gathering, potentially got different gathering routes, and we've also got new items and new content.
[08:40] And most importantly, for somebody like me, we've got an economy that isn't already completely solved. And that's probably the thing that excites me the most about all of this.
[08:52] Because when everybody knows everything already, goal making becomes incredibly predictable. You know the rules, you know the items, recipes, materials, what's valuable.
[09:04] You know what isn't in that sense. Forever gives us the opportunity to basically go back to Aderoth and work it out again. We going to have to find routes test new farms figure out what materials people actually need and which crafted items are worth making which recipes are valuable these markets are behaving obviously that exactly the sort of thing I enjoy doing now
[09:30] outside of gold making for a second because I do want to give you my general impression of forever so far I've only played it around two hours nearly three so this is not a review this
[09:42] It was literally my first morning playing Hapasa, but honestly, I'm really enjoying it. It is definitely playable. The Orc Warrior stuff feels familiar. But then I went and made a Skyborn Druid, and I have to say, I think that's probably going to be my Horde character.
[10:01] Because in Classic Plus, so to speak, I always play Horde. It's a bit more streamlined than the Orc starting experience from what I've played so far. you actually level a little bit faster than the orc and visually I've also been using the enhanced
[10:15] graphics option. You can switch between the more traditional look and the enhanced presentation and I've personally been playing the enhanced version and I think it looks brilliant in all
[10:27] honesty. Obviously that's entirely a personal preference some people are going to want everything to look as close to the original game as possible some people are going to want the newer presentations.
[10:40] Personally, I'm really liking the enhanced version. So overall, from the first couple of hours I played, I'm actually considerably more interested in Forever than I was before I got into the beta.
[10:53] And from a gold-making perspective, I think we've got a lot of work ahead of us. But that's a good thing, because it means there are things to discover, there are routes to rebuild, professions to test, recipes to investigate and
[11:10] add-ons to update so I've got a lot of work and there is eventually going to be an entirely new economy for us to figure out so obviously I'll be covering all of that on the channel as we go through the beta. I'll also be working on getting
[11:25] Worth It and Worth It guides ready for forever as more information and data becomes available and if I find new farms, new gathering routes, session changes, weird items or basically anything else that could potentially make us some gold,
[11:40] you already know I'm going to be testing it. So let me know what you think of World of Warcraft Forever so far. If you've actually got the beta access, let me know what you've found and particularly if you've been playing around with the professions, let me know if you've noticed anything interesting
[11:55] that I haven't come across as of yet. But for now, I need to get back to the beta because apparently I've got several thousand gathering those divine. So have a lovely rest of your day and I shall see you in
[12:07] the next video which will be soon.
