[00:00] I came across a video that makes

[00:01] absolutely zero sense. 228,000 views on

[00:06] a channel with only 6,000 subscribers.

[00:09] And once I figured out why this

[00:10] happened, everything changed. Now,

[00:12] here's exactly how I found it. I was

[00:14] inside of Vid IQ researching outlier

[00:16] titles and not the typical top videos,

[00:18] but the ones that are massively

[00:19] overperforming for small channels. So,

[00:21] after filtering it down and looking at

[00:23] the results from the views versus

[00:25] subscriber count, which is also known as

[00:26] an outlier title, this video was doing

[00:29] way above average and it jumped out

[00:32] immediately to me. So, I broke it down

[00:34] into three things. And the third is

[00:36] something that not a lot of creators are

[00:38] talking about in this space on how to

[00:40] find these outliers, but also how to

[00:42] rework them so that way they work for

[00:43] your channel. Now, I'm going to pull up

[00:45] the video so that way you can see

[00:46] exactly what title this is, what made it

[00:49] pop, and how we can reconstruct this to

[00:51] make our own title as well, and also how

[00:54] you can find your own outlier title. So,

[00:55] the video I found, which has everything

[00:57] to do with cats, it says, "This cat

[00:59] refuses to eat until we play piano every

[01:02] morning." Okay, so looking at that,

[01:05] you're like, "Okay, why did this video

[01:07] blow up?" And again, 6,000 subscribers

[01:10] and 228,000 views in 20 days. So, the

[01:15] first thing I look at is the structure

[01:17] of it, right? So, there's three main

[01:18] things I'm looking at in the structure

[01:20] of this title. One is what question does

[01:22] it answer? What curiosity does it

[01:24] trigger? And also, what makes it stand

[01:26] out in this niche? So, let's look at

[01:28] this, right? So, this cat refuses to eat

[01:30] until we play piano every night. So, the

[01:33] first part of it, right? Starting with a

[01:35] this statement. So this cat. Okay. So

[01:37] you're putting a little bit of emphasis

[01:39] on the cat portion obviously. So you

[01:41] could do this again in any niche. You

[01:43] can change it out. And I'm going to show

[01:44] you how you're going to be able to do

[01:45] that. But this cat refuses to eat. So

[01:48] right there, bold statement from the

[01:49] beginning. This cat refuses to eat. So

[01:51] immediately you're asking yourself, why

[01:53] is this cat refusing to eat? And then

[01:55] when you have the solution to it until

[01:57] we play piano every morning, someone's

[01:59] going to be like, what do you mean? Like

[02:01] you play piano and then now your cat

[02:03] will eat. I got to see. Maybe that's a

[02:06] trick I should try or maybe it's just

[02:08] something that is really cool with your

[02:09] cat, right? It builds intrigue, right?

[02:12] So ultimately the viewer now wants to

[02:14] click to find out the solution to this

[02:16] or the answer or also to see if it is

[02:18] true and it is something that again is

[02:20] not clickbait. Now I know you're

[02:21] wondering, but that's great. This is

[02:23] about cats, but what does this do with

[02:25] my niche? Maybe I'm in the fitness

[02:27] niche. What is having a cat refusing to

[02:29] eat? How do I make that relate? Right?

[02:32] So we can even do it even for this

[02:34] channel right here. and I'm going to

[02:35] show you. So, Vid IQ makes it super

[02:37] easy. So, right here is a remix title.

[02:40] So, after you click on the video that's

[02:42] the outlier, you're going to hit remix

[02:43] title. It's going to generate it in your

[02:46] niche all different ideas that you can

[02:48] do. And then you can also redefine it

[02:50] and on your own you can change it as

[02:52] well. So, if you look here's some of the

[02:54] ones I came up with. This creator

[02:55] refuses to upload until we optimize for

[02:58] SEO every morning. These viewers refuse

[03:01] to watch unless you create engaging

[03:03] content daily. This YouTuber refuses to

[03:06] post until we analyze trending videos

[03:08] every morning. This channel refuses to

[03:10] grow unless we focus on catchy titles

[03:13] every day. So, as you can see, all these

[03:15] titles pretty good. Now, I can generate

[03:17] it and then go even deeper and create a

[03:19] script and all of that. Or I can refresh

[03:21] it and get some more ideas that's going

[03:23] to come through. Maybe I want to

[03:25] redefine it a little bit more. I can go

[03:27] to my preferences and I can put exactly

[03:30] what channel topics I want to hit. Now,

[03:32] these outlier titles are great and I

[03:33] spend a lot of time researching them and

[03:36] actually I create a swipe file with 10

[03:38] of the best outlier titles that have

[03:40] worked on our channel, plus a bunch of

[03:41] our clients and even just people who've

[03:43] downloaded the free swipe file. So, if

[03:45] you guys want those 10 free titles, all

[03:46] you got to do is comment hooks down

[03:48] below and I'll send you it. Again, just

[03:50] comment hooks and I'll send you the 10

[03:51] free titles that are going to be the

[03:53] best outliers that you are going to use

[03:55] for your channel. Now, these right here

[03:58] is a perfect example of how again I can

[04:01] take something that's not even in my

[04:02] niche, okay? It's in a cat niche, but

[04:04] then I can turn it into my own piece of

[04:06] content. So, now it's an original piece.

[04:08] We call this crossover niche hacking.

[04:10] So, I'm literally taking a title from

[04:12] another niche. I'm going to put it into

[04:14] my niche using the same framework. So,

[04:16] I'm still using the this. I'm going to

[04:18] use the every morning. The structure of

[04:20] it is the same. I just changed some of

[04:22] the words inside of it. Right now,

[04:24] again, this is an easy way to find

[04:26] outliers. You can manually do it, but

[04:28] Vid IQ makes it super easy to use. And

[04:31] I'm even going to share with you how you

[04:32] can find them on your own in Vid IQ.

[04:35] Now, I will say I am an affiliate for

[04:36] VidIQ. So, if you guys want to check it

[04:38] out, the link is in the description.

[04:40] You'll get me a cup of coffee. Love my

[04:41] cold brew. And I know you'll love some

[04:43] outlier titles that are super easy to

[04:44] find as well. So, all you're going to do

[04:46] is you're going to go into the dashboard

[04:47] of Vid IQ. You're going to go to

[04:49] discover. Then you're going to go to

[04:50] outliers. Now, this is where the magic

[04:53] happens. But you also have to be very

[04:55] mindful of what you put in the filters

[04:57] to find the right results that you're

[04:58] looking for. So, we're just pick

[05:00] something random. Let's just say you're

[05:01] into knitting. Okay. Now, before I just

[05:04] search this, if I search this, it's

[05:06] going to be very broad. And it's also

[05:08] going to share things from years ago,

[05:10] right? So, like some are a little bit

[05:11] recent, but then you're going to get

[05:12] some that a year ago. Some might be

[05:15] three years ago, three years ago, two

[05:16] years ago, right? All over the place.

[05:18] Some of them aren't even outliers. Like

[05:20] this one right here. 753,000

[05:22] subscribers. The video only got 63,000

[05:25] views. Not an outlier because we want

[05:26] more views than subscribers. So, this is

[05:29] what I'm going to do. I'm going to go to

[05:30] the filter up top. I'm going to change

[05:32] the views to my minimum as 10,000.

[05:36] Subscriber range, we're going to take

[05:37] that to 50. 50 and under I still

[05:40] consider a small channel. Even under

[05:42] 100K, but we'll go 50. Now, this is

[05:44] where it's important, right? I put three

[05:46] minutes for the video length. We don't

[05:47] want it to be a short. And the most

[05:49] important is we want it relevant and

[05:51] recent. So, the last 6 months is is like

[05:54] the sweet spot. If you can do even

[05:56] earlier than that, that's great, but

[05:58] last six months because it's proven to

[05:59] work in the last 6 months with this

[06:01] algorithm. If you do something from a

[06:02] year or two years ago, it could have

[06:04] took a lot of time to get all those

[06:05] views. We know this happened recently

[06:08] and on a small channel which gives us

[06:09] the best opportunity to get the similar

[06:11] type of push on YouTube. So then all I

[06:13] hit is apply. I can keep it as best

[06:16] match. I can also go highest views,

[06:17] highest outlier score, all of that. But

[06:19] right here, you're going to start

[06:20] getting ideas like this one right here.

[06:22] 43,000 subscribers, 202,000

[06:26] views 24 days ago. Let's find something

[06:28] else. And I found one right here. 16,000

[06:31] subscribers. So very low.

[06:34] 156,000 views 21 days ago. So, I'm going

[06:36] to click on this. Why is everyone

[06:38] arguing about this knitting show? Okay.

[06:41] Okay. Again, really good title. Worked

[06:44] for the niche. Blew up. How do I apply

[06:46] that to mine? Remix title. Why is

[06:49] everyone ignoring your YouTube videos?

[06:52] Why is everyone clicking on this SEO

[06:54] trick? Why is everyone talking about

[06:56] these video tips? Why is everyone

[06:58] struggling to create engaging content?

[07:00] Why is everyone using these YouTube

[07:02] hacks? Right? So, right there just gave

[07:04] me a bunch of title ideas. Now, Vid IQ

[07:07] has their own ranking systems um of like

[07:09] what they think is the best chance of

[07:11] virality. And so, this one got a score

[07:13] of 93 would probably be your highest

[07:14] one. But again, I can refresh. I can try

[07:17] to get a couple more ideas. Um I still

[07:19] like this one the best. So, again, I

[07:22] could go even deeper. Hit generate. And

[07:23] then when I go into generate, this is

[07:25] where it's going to give me my title.

[07:27] Again, I can redefine it, too. If I

[07:29] redefine it, I can make it longer. Add

[07:30] excitement. Change my tone. All of this,

[07:33] right? Let's just add excitement just so

[07:34] you can kind of see how it works. So,

[07:36] I'm click this. Why is everyone

[07:38] overlooking your YouTube videos? Why are

[07:40] your videos being or why are your

[07:42] YouTube videos being ignored? Why are

[07:44] people turning blind eye to your video?

[07:46] Again, I can hit it again. Regenerate.

[07:48] Maybe I want some more. Um, why are

[07:50] YouTube videos being ignored? Why is no

[07:52] one watching your YouTube videos? Right.

[07:54] This one got a little bit higher. Maybe

[07:56] I go with this one. Apply. It'll change

[07:58] it. It gave me a description, gave me

[08:01] tags. So, all this came from Vid IQ, but

[08:03] it all goes back to the title we found

[08:05] earlier, right? So, after doing my

[08:07] research, we get 99x right here. 20 days

[08:10] ago, 229 actually went up 229,000 views.

[08:14] Again, the channel only has 6.5K

[08:18] subscribers. Thousand subscribers. And

[08:20] if you're still struggling with finding

[08:21] out titles, I shot another video over

[08:24] here of a title that got 399,000 views

[08:27] in 30 days. Go check that video out over

[08:29] here and I'll see you
