AI Summary

The video presents three expert predictions on Ethereum's future price, highlighting the potential for significant appreciation driven by tokenization, real-world assets, and favorable macro conditions. Experts Dan Tapiero, Tom Dunleavy, and Tom Lee share their bullish outlooks, with price targets ranging from 5-10x current levels to $20,000-$50,000.

[00:04]
Ethereum's Price Target Based on Asset Tokenization

Dan Tapiero suggests that with the tokenization of assets on Ethereum, a price target of $20,000 to $50,000 per ETH is reasonable, representing a 5-10x increase from current levels.

[01:29]
Dan Tapiero's Background and Bullish Stance

Dan Tapiero, a macro investor with 25 years of experience, leads 10T Holdings and 1Roundtable Partners, managing over $1.5 billion in digital assets. He is bullish on Ethereum, predicting a 5-10x appreciation.

[02:20]
Thesis: Crypto Space to $50 Trillion

Tapiero believes the crypto space will reach $50 trillion, with Bitcoin at $20 trillion. This implies significant upside for ETH and SOL, despite recent underperformance.

[04:24]
Tokenization of Real-World Assets is Just Beginning

Tapiero emphasizes that tokenization of real-world assets is in its early stages ('first inning'), and could drive 5-15x returns over the next decade, though the journey will be painful.

[05:13]
Ethereum's Historical Price Context

Tapiero notes that ETH at $2,000 is already a 20x from $100 in 2019, highlighting the rarity of such returns in traditional markets.

[06:00]
Tom Dunleavy's $20,000 ETH Prediction

Tom Dunleavy, a crypto venture investor and former Messari senior analyst, predicts Ethereum could reach $20,000 based on the growth of tokenization and RWAs.

[07:09]
Framework for ETH Price Target

Dunleavy explains that if Ethereum holds $750 billion to $1 trillion in net assets, a price target of $20,000-$50,000 per ETH is plausible, given the asset's integral role in consensus and security.

[08:05]
Tom Lee's Bullish Ethereum Thesis

Tom Lee, Fundstrat's co-founder, remains bullish on Ethereum despite recent price declines, citing catalysts like the end of the Iran war, the Clarity Act, and a pro-crypto White House.

[09:00]
Catalyst 1: End of Iran War

Lee argues that the end of the Iran war would reduce oil prices, easing inflation and allowing central banks to be less hawkish, which is positive for risk assets like Ethereum.

[10:41]
Catalyst 2: Clarity Act

The Clarity Act would provide a regulatory framework for crypto in the US, enabling financial institutions to build. Lee believes the probability of passage is higher than the market's 56% estimate.

[11:33]
Catalyst 3: Pro-Crypto White House

The current White House is pro-Bitcoin and pro-crypto, which is also positive for US dollar policy, especially regarding stablecoins.

[11:46]
Catalyst 4: New Fed Chair Kevin Warsh

Kevin Warsh, the new Fed chair, is pro-crypto, which could be a positive catalyst for the market.

[12:01]
Stock Market Tailwind

Lee highlights a structural tailwind for equities due to demographics (ages 30-50), predicting the S&P could reach 15,000-18,000 by the end of the decade, which would also lift crypto.

[12:41]
Ethereum's Price Ratio to Bitcoin

Lee uses the ETH/BTC ratio (long-term average 0.048, 2021 high 0.087) to estimate ETH price. With Bitcoin at $250,000, ETH could reach $22,000, making it cheap at $2,300.

The video presents a compelling case for Ethereum's long-term appreciation, driven by tokenization, regulatory clarity, and macro tailwinds. While the path may be volatile, the experts agree that Ethereum is undervalued at current levels.

Ethereum is Cheap at $2,300

Tom Lee uses the ETH/BTC ratio to argue that Ethereum is undervalued, providing a simple valuation metric.

12:41

[00:04] assets on Ethereum itself, you get to a price target per ETH of 20 to 50,000. right? I'm talking about the tokenization of assets. It's reasonable you know, a 5 to 10 X. >> So, as we think about Ethereum's price,

[00:21] the future of finance. >> As [music] extreme fear continues to plague the crypto market, buying fear today, buying quality assets when price today, buying quality assets when price is down, has always been a surefire way

[00:35] to get rich without getting lucky. It took me 7 years to learn the secrets of the crypto market. I'll teach you in 7 minutes. It is becoming abundantly clear

[00:47] that Ethereum is the future of on-chain finance. Wall Street is adopting it. Tokenization, real-world assets, stablecoins are all happening on top of >> [music] >> But, with the price so low for so long,

[01:03] a lot of people have a hard time understanding just how high Ethereum can go. So, in this video, we're going to attempt to predict the future. I'm going

[01:15] to show you three expert predictions, their thoughts on the future price of their thoughts on the future price of ETH. They're all buying Ethereum today, and in this video, we will explain why.

[01:29] First up, Dan Tapiero is one of the most respected macro investors in crypto. With over 25 years of market experience, he leads 10T Holdings and 1 Roundtable

[01:42] Partners, managing over 1.5 billion in digital asset investments. When he makes a crypto price prediction, the market pays attention. And here, on the When

[01:54] Shift Happens podcast, that's exactly what he did. Although he mentions Bitcoin, Solana, and Hyperliquid, he's bullish on a handful of quality crypto assets. In this clip, he shares his prediction on Ethereum and why he thinks

[02:08] prediction on Ethereum and why he thinks a 5 to 10X Ethereum appreciation from here is likely. >> These last 5 years for a lot of people feel like a kind of last lost half decade, right? The price going nowhere,

[02:20] going up, down, back. So, people are kind of depressed, but you have this thesis which is this this space is going to 50 trillion dollar and this might be Therefore, at 50 trillion dollar, you say 20 trillion is about Bitcoin, right?

[02:34] >> Correct. >> Uh which means it's going higher from here even if it's painful since 5 years. Where does that put an ETH or an SOL? More or less. Again, because ETH is max pain for people since 5 years. SOL has

[02:50] lot and it's very volatile. >> Yeah, I think I think look, um that's a >> Yeah, I think I think look, um that's a 10X on on Bitcoin and I I sort of just could you know, it's reasonable for me to think that ETH could do a you know, a

[03:05] 5 to 10X. I can't remember what level of ETH equals, you know, 5T. Let's see, we know, um but that's just a broad estimate. ETH could be up 20X, it could be up 10. Um I look at ETH and

[03:23] Bitcoin, ETH, and Solana core assets now, but Solana, and all the other potential hype in that which could be maybe hype

[03:40] becomes more massive than everything, right? Um you know, maybe there businesses that switch from having equity to just having token. That could add another huge chunk in sort of that alt universe. So, I don't specifically

[03:57] alt universe. So, I don't specifically think about where ETH or SOL can go. Can they go over the next 10 years? Could Solana be at a thousand? Sure. Sure, but I think about it more broadly because I think that's a little bit more

[04:10] the realm of the venture the venture capitalist, the guy who, you know, is investing in a seed investment because he sees a great future in something at a very small valuation. And I can't quite, you know,

[04:24] right? I'm talking about the tokenization of assets, right? Like all real-world assets, that hasn't even started. Like that's the first inning of that. So, I'm not so much and I know your audience is probably like, well,

[04:40] where can that go? I think, you know, easily, you know, 5, 10, 15X over the next 10 years, but it will be painful. ETH has been a killer, but the reality is, let me tell you, ETH at 2,000 is an enormous price. In 2019, ETH was at a

[04:58] hundred dollars. It was at a hundred dollars. I know. I mean, I I I I I I have first-hand experience. It was a hundred eighty-three dollars. ETH. And it was below there for a long time.

[05:13] So, 2,000 is a big number. which is six years ago. >> Correct. Like 20X, like, oh my gosh. >> Yeah. >> Um

[05:28] no, I I it's just that it's the young people and there's a lot of needing to get instant gratification. But when you look at the financial markets in the old world, again, commodities, currencies, stocks, bonds, you get a 20X in

[05:44] something, I mean, it's very, very rare. >> And what we have in our space is people sitting at a 20X complaining. Right? >> Next up is expert Tom Dunleavy. He's a crypto venture investor, former Messari

[06:00] senior analyst. He has deep experience across digital assets and institutional finance. He now leads venture investing at Veris Capital. And he thinks Ethereum can get to $20,000 at some point in the future. And in this

[06:16] clip, he talks about why. This is a recent episode of The Edge podcast. Here he explains why he's so bullish on Ethereum and why he thinks it could hit $20,000 in the not too distant future.

[06:31] >> Say we stay on this current trajectory of, you know, Ethereum looks to be winning the early battle of tokenization and RWAs, and I don't think it's crazy that there will be trillions of value on Ethereum now

[06:45] one in could even be 5 years. Like, hey, say we are sitting at 2 trillion or 5 trillion, what do you think ETH price looks like in in some of those scenarios?

[06:57] >> Like VanEck and Standard Chartered and then Tom Lee have all these price forecasts that are 20, 30, 50,000. numbers? And if you just sort of use the model

[07:09] that I said, you take the aggregate amount of assets on the chain today and you apply a framework whether it be 1/3 or half of the sort of consensus you need to hold to actually disrupt the native chain itself.

[07:23] Then you go, you know, a sort of 750 to a trillion dollars of net assets on Ethereum itself, you get to a price target per itself, you get to a price target per ETH of 20 to 50,000, which seems

[07:38] outlandish, but if you think of this blockchain holding a trillion dollars of network activity on top of it and the asset itself is integral to the consensus and security, it becomes like, okay, that sort of

[07:52] makes sense. Um, so the numbers, they don't have to be right tomorrow, but if level of assets and based on the framework that I've outlined here, network. >> Finally, the infamous Tom Lee. He is

[08:05] Fundstrat's co-founder and head of research, one of Wall Street's most recognized market strategists. Before Fundstrat, he was JP Morgan's chief equity strategist, giving him decades of experience analyzing markets at the

[08:18] highest level. As you know, he has been getting laughed at for his Ethereum conviction over these past several months because the price has actually gone down over the last several months. But, his conviction has remained

[08:32] unchanged. He just keeps buying more and his Ethereum bull thesis has actually yet to be invalidated. It actually seems like directionally, he's absolutely correct. Here, Tom Lee explains his most current Ethereum prediction.

[08:48] >> This is uh the price chart of Ethereum. You can see it's been consolidating, stuck in this range, for almost 5 years now. And it is waiting for a decisive breakout. Now, if you're bearish, you might think it's

[09:00] think this is going to be uh resolved in a very bullish breakout. The first catalyst is the Iran war is going to end. Now, I know a lot of people don't think there's any connection between crypto prices and a

[09:14] war in Iran, but keep in mind, the Iran war has caused problems with the price of oil and the supply of oil. Now, why would this matter to anybody? Well, oil is a

[09:28] root driver of inflation. So, if there's an inflation problem created by oil, tight globally. And that's actually what we're seeing. prices have gone up. Petroleum products have been Supplies have been severely impacted and my

[09:43] policy makers have to raise interest rates. So, if the war ends, I think that Uh in fact, if any of you are technicians, you know that this is probably likely that if the war ends, the terror premium will come out of oil

[09:56] and maybe we see $40 oil. Ethereum has huge negative correlation highest inverse correlation ever in the history of Ethereum. So, clearly rising is negative for ETH price. We can see it statistically.

[10:11] inflation and oil, take a look at this chart. This chart starts in 1985. The top chart is the price change of oil. The bottom is core CPI.

[10:25] sustained spike in oil, core CPI accelerates higher. So, central banks don't want inflation above 2%. If oil stays high, they're going to be hawkish. However, we're betting on a a war that ends soon.

[10:41] The second positive catalyst on the macro is the Clarity Act. It's a huge matters. I mean, basically, it provides a legitimate framework for crypto to proliferate in the US, but also financial institutions to build.

[10:54] But unfortunately, the the market only believes there's a 56% chance Clarity Act gets signed this year. Now, I've talked to a lot of folks in Washington uh and our including our own policy experts, I It does seem like the

[11:06] The prediction markets are trying to find equilibrium, but I do think probability of passage is much higher than 56%. But of course, we know that big banks don't want this to happen. But keep in mind,

[11:19] the big banks uh don't write policy. Uh that's why we have to keep in mind there are a lot of constituents that want to see the Clarity Act passed. If that passes, it's a big catalyst.

[11:33] The third positive catalyst is of course, don't forget the White House is a very pro Bitcoin, pro crypto White House. It's also very good for the US dollar policy, especially with regard to stable coins.

[11:46] The fourth is we have a new Fed chair, Kevin Warsh, and Kevin Warsh is pro And finally, the stock market has a massive tailwind. on equities cuz you think they've run too far, but at Fundstrat, uh which is

[12:01] we've been bullish on stocks uh structurally, and a lot of it has to do number of people in America aged 30 to 50. Every time it goes up, the US economy will grow faster than trend.

[12:15] because of millennials, Gen Z, and Gen And as you can see on this chart, if you overlay equity returns with uh the number of people aged 30 to 50, the stock market has always risen

[12:29] parabolically. And this tells us that markets the S&P could be 15,000 to 18,000 by the end of this decade. So, as we think about Ethereum's price, I do think it all comes down to what Bitcoin does. So,

[12:41] here's Ethereum's price ratio. I think the long-term average is the number just to think about, which is 0.048. And the 2021 high of 0.087. If I lay that to where we think Bitcoin

[12:56] 250,000, um the 2021 high average for instance um the 2021 high average for instance would get you to 22,000 Ethereum. So, at the current price of 2300, Ethereum's cheap. And of course, as you can see in

[13:11] crypto spring in the early part of a cycle, Ethereum doesn't really move So, I think you're going to have plenty of time to buy crypto over the next few months. But again, if crypto winter has ended by the end of this year, we're

[13:24] going to see some strong moves just like we've been seeing with memory stocks uh >> My name is Aaron. This is Altcoin Daily. We give you an edge investing in crypto. Information, opinion, that's what we do. So, subscribe to Altcoin Daily, join our
